I give the highest recommendations for Rose Haven. The venue is absolutely gorgeous, and the planners took care of any eventuality Mother Nature could throw at us for my son's December 3rd wedding. This is an outdoor venue, but they had tents ready and heaters set up in case the weather cooled off. We had rain that morning, but there was artificial turf to cover the ceremony area overlooking Lake James and plenty of umbrellas at hand. The decorations were entirely appropriate without being Christmas-y, and we had plenty of room for our wedding dinner guests at tables set up across a variety of areas including a side porch, outdoor fireplace area, and inside the log home \"living room.\" The planner had parking set up off-site for our many guests, and we had shuttles running to and from the venue on a regular basis. We had several guests who needed to drive home immediately after the ceremony, and they didn't have a long wait to be taken back to their cars.The loft held the bridal party ladies for their makeup and hair styling as well as providing plenty of room to dress and visit prior to the wedding while the groomsmen had their own area downstairs which led out to a small patio. The upstairs loft also provided a great first look of the bride for the bride's parents and the groom's mother without letting anyone else intrude on those special moments. I especially liked using the main covered patio for the bride and groom table as well as dancing. This area was centrally located to the tables set up inside and outside and was easily accessed by the wedding guests to both visit with the bride and groom and dance. It had plenty of room for dancing and we even had a conga line at one point! Even if it had decided to return to raining, we were covered for dancing the night away.We had superb catering from a local Chinese restaurant recommended and set up by our planner, and the food was delicious! We also had a bar tender providing various libations for our guests along with a self-serve hot chocolate bar. I expect Rose Haven can accommodate all sorts of set-ups for food. We had a seated dinner with a buffet line for ours, but there is also a long bar along one side of the large \"living room\" downstairs which could hold all sorts of finger foods for guests.My son and his new bride also spent their first night as husband and wife in the loft bedroom. This was so convenient because they went straight from dancing to relaxing without having to drive anywhere. As mother of the groom, I could've been worried since my son was marrying at an out-of-state and unfamiliar location, but the wedding planner took care of everything.

I was going to wait until I got my photos back from my photographer before I did my review because I wanted you to see how beautiful it was! Maybe it will let me update later because we are still waiting on photos and it has been close to a month. We have a few that our guests took to give you and idea. First off, planning a wedding is hard, it is stressful and not fun at all, which was my experience. But of course I complicate things with my decision making skills. I went into this blindly not knowing what goes into it and it was overwhelming. I thank God that I found Angel with Rose Haven at Lake James. I was wanting a beach wedding at the oven but getting family there we felt wouldnât be the easiest and the financial burden of hotel rooms. I searched for,âWedding venue near waterâ and found Rose Haven. It just so happen it was on Lake James where my fiancĂ© had grown up. We checked them out, found out they had only been in business for a few months doing weddings and so we decided to go with them, I fell in love with the beach area. In the end we decided not to go with the beach due to the steepness of 3 of the hills to get to it and the time it took to get down there. But the location at the top is stunning as well and you canât beat the Table Rock view. On the wedding day I was in awe at watching the staff work and get things done and when it came to meâŠâŠ..they went above and beyond to help me and make the process the least stressful. I couldnât even get my shoes on and a staff member helped me put them on. For the life of me I canât remember her name but she is an Angel herself. Everything went like clockwork, well as far as I knew, and before I knew it I was being loaded into Gradyâs classic car (above and beyond) for him to drive me around to let me out to walk down the aisle. He was precious too, told me to not be nervous it was going to be ok and reached back to hold my hand. I will never forget that moment. It felt like a true dad/grandfather moment even though we werenât related. I did the âAll Inclusive â package and would not have done it any other way. It gave us from Friday to Monday with the venue. Friday night the guys hung out there for their bachelor get together and then we had time to get ourselves together before our honeymoon. I suggest you splurge for this package, they will truly step up for you through the whole process. Everyone. We just got married here and I canât recommend it enough. Great location, beautiful inside area, outside garden area and beautiful architecture, plenty of parking, beautiful view. It was my dream venue and Iâm in love with it. Angel Rose, the manager, is amazing and was so helpful the entire way through. They also work with a lot of great vendors that they recommend to you.

3 short weeks before my sonâs rehearsal party and wedding the wedding venue cancelled on us. Rose Haven came to the rescue! Rose Havenâs planned Grand Opening was scheduled the weekend after our event but they not only said come on - they did everything to make our event perfect! Roads were regraveled, sod was carefully laid, arches were built and the entire venue was cleaned from top to bottom! Rehearsal Casino Night under a beautiful portico with Lake James and Table Rock as the backdrop - So Easy !Wedding Vows beneath handcrafted wooden arches, again with Lake James and Table Rock as the back drop - Spectacular!And when a bit of rain threaten the Wedding After Party - plenty of room inside and outside the beautifully crafted lodge, portico and patio - Perfection!Two different set of catering services and a professional bartended commended over and over about the ease of working in the venue. Everything they needed was provided by Rose Haven. Would book again! Absolutely perfect!

My husband and I couldnât have picked a better venue to get married. The view is absolutely stunning and the set up was amazing. Everyone in our wedding party and our guests kept commenting on how beautiful Rose Haven is, and I couldnât agree more. We hired the wedding planner at this venue, and let me tell you, she is truly wonderful. Literally the sweetest person on the planet, and she gets things done! She always made me feel calm, and was a great listener to all of my âpre bridalâ stress. She constantly reminded me that this was my day and no one elseâs, and that she would make whatever I wanted happen, and she was true to her word. Overall, it is worth the money, because everything is tailored to your needs, and did I mention it was stunning?! I highly recommend having your wedding here, and Iâm so glad my husband and I found this place.

Rose Haven was an absolute dream! First of all the view is spectacular. You have a beautiful natural backdrop of the mountains and Lake James. The house is a stunning modern cabin with 2 bedrooms, 2 spacious full bathrooms and a large loft with lots of natural light which was perfect for getting ready the day of our wedding! We had a great experience with everyone involved. They were so kind, helpful, answered all our questions and made us feel like family. We highly recommend Rose Haven!

Angel Rose (Manager) Talking about myself is not something I enjoy doing. I'm a behind the scenes kind of person. Other than spending time with my family, my passions include: planning, organizing, making lists, and getting things done. It brings me great joy to help others make memories for their special moments. Most recently, I had the privilege to plan and direct my oldest daughter's wedding.
