Everything in the lead up to our wedding has been extremely easy. Nicholas has always been easy to get in contact with and the pictures from past events have been a great inspiration for what we have been planning. Nicholas was extremely responsive while initially setting up a tour and going over options. The tours were very thorough. The venue offers many different packages. It is nice to know that so much has been taken care of from the venue’s standpoint. That makes the wedding planning that much easier. The venue is, also, gorgeous. They have let us tour it multiple times to show it off to our family members before the big day. Absolutely love it! Reviewed on 23-01-2024

Nick was fantastic throughout our venue searching process. I’m the first of my peers to get married, which meant I had no one to lean on for advice. Nick was so helpful in this regard! He had an answer for every question we posed, demonstrating his expertise in the wedding space. It was such an easy decision to go with Rose Hill Manor, and perfect for the busy bride who needs a one-stop shop for their special day. I can’t thank this team enough, and am so excited for my wedding next year! Reviewed on 20-01-2024

Our wedding at Rose Hill Manor was a magical experience, and I cannot say enough about the venue and the incredible staff who made our day so special. We were privileged to get married during the fall season and the venue's natural beauty. A standout feature of Rose Hill Manor is its in-house catering and the delicious and diverse cuisine that blew us away. The aspect of excellent communication cannot be understated. From the initial planning stages to the final execution, the staff at Rose Hill Manor was responsive and accommodating. However, Lindsay, our month-of coordinator, was the true hero of our wedding day. Lindsay's dedication and expertise were unparalleled. She went above and beyond to ensure that everything ran smoothly and that we had the wedding of our dreams. Lindsay's kindness, knowledge, and understanding made her an absolute pleasure to work with. She effortlessly handled any issues, ensuring we didn't have to worry about a thing. Her talent for coordinating such an intricate event was evident in every detail. Lindsay, we can't thank you enough for your hard work and dedication. Reviewed on 25-10-2023
Patrick Yoo(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 27-08-2022 We just got married here (August) and I can’t recommend it enough. Great location, beautiful inside area for reception for 140 people. I think if you get north of 160-175 it will be tight. We had our ceremony outside under the pergola area and it was beautiful. The Rose Hill Manor team of coordinators were amazing and helpful the entire way through. Great at answering all our questions leading up to the wedding and making sure we didn't have to think the day of. They worked well with all our vendors. For us being able to use our own caterers was the icing on top. Reviewed on 08-11-2022

I worked with Tami to get our contract up and running. She was so patient with me as I went back to the venue with several people to confirm this decision. She walked us through the contract multiple times, all with a smile on her face!I got Tori as a wedding planner, and she was the absolute best! Even guests at the wedding were talking about how great she was! She gave me all the documents I needed to make everything nice and smooth, was super responsive to any random question I had, and suggested a bunch of great ideas. She is also so sweet and so easy to work with! I was so happy with the whole team! The venue itself is so perfect! We only had 100 people so it was a perfect size in my opinion! Not too big, but not too small. the room itself is so beautiful with the lighting and large windows. I highly recommend having your wedding at Rose Hill! Reviewed on 22-09-2022
Abigail P(bride)2 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 28-05-2023 We went on a group tour with a few other couples to see this venue and a few others (poplar springs, the view at bluemont, and raspberry plain) owned by the same people. We didn’t mind seeing it with others, but we found our tour guide and sales rep to be extremely salesy and it was a huge turn off. We weren’t provided an itinerary ahead of time— and if there was, it was buried somewhere in one of the novels we were sent. We were told where to drive along the way, and it was an hour in between each location! Would have been nice to know ahead of time what the schedule was for the day. Don’t get me wrong— I want information, but it was completely disorganized and hard to find what we needed. It felt like we were being moved with the herd and the constant scarcity tactics (we book x number of dates a week, book fast!) got old very fast. When I finally told him I had booked another venue, there were no well wishes or any “let me know if you need anything” or “what made you go with something different?” The response was “which venue?” That’s literally all that was in the email. We simply didn’t want to work with someone that pushy and salesy. Reviewed on 11-09-2022
Sydney Rolle(other)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 10-07-2022 We had the most elegant wedding at this venue! The wood floors, the white walls, the large windows and the gold accents were PERFECT! Deatra Idlet(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 25-06-2022 When I started my wedding planning journey its was right after things started opening up from the pandemic. I instantly fell in love with Rose Hill Manor, on the virtual tour and the in person tour. I knew I would love this venue. We actually went to Manassas to see the Foxchase location, which was equally beautiful but to me not as intimate, so we went with Rose Hill Manor. I chose this venue because it had everything included, plus you can bring your own alcohol and they will provide a server. Another favorite detail is the month and day of coordinator. My coordinator was Lindsay Robeson and she was absolutely amazing and worked so hard to make sure my day was as smooth as possible. Some of the things that people may not see is that they have many weddings and they are preparing for your wedding the night after a previous event. The coordinator (Lindsay for me) and event staff work so hard to make sure they give you everything you need. I am so glad that I trusted the process and allowed Lindsay to coordinate my wedding because she decorated my space with little direction literally following a inventory checklist. She worked so well with my vendors. They also have an amazing preferred vendor list that I used for most of my vendors. I interviewed multiple vendors and the vendors on their list was always the best choice. Overall my wedding day was perfect, the only thing I had to focus on was getting beautiful for my wedding. Everyone worked so hard to do everything that need to be done and it showed. The smiles on the staff face at the end of the night was amazing, because it showed that even they enjoyed the event. If you communicate your expectations and trust their process they will follow through with everything. Lindsay helped me to not stress the planning and even reached out to my vendors for me to confirm their set up time's. I would absolutely recommend this venue and my only advice would be don't stress the small stuff and don't panic and start hiring other people because The Manor's staff will get the job done. Nicole Cherecwich(bride)2 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 14-05-2022 Our wedding was incredible, and the venue space itself was great, but communication from this venue is really lacking. We were overcharged at the beginning (because I had my own wedding planner), after which Nicholas very rudely told us we should fire her because we wouldn't need her. That couldn't have been further from the truth. There was so much important information about actual event start/end times, load in procedures, extra charges, that wasn't communicated until a few weeks before. They ended up taking over an hour to get dinner out, and it seemed like they had so few staff members actually working. I saw food being passed around at cocktail hour maybe twice. In general no guests actually noticed how long it took to get dinner, and my wedding was great, but it was great because of all the vendors I chose. Despite all that our coordinator with the venue, Abigail, was very nice and did negotiate a lower price on vendor meals since we had such a large band. I got the impression she was doing the best she could with the way the venue is run. Reviewed on 05-07-2022
Jeremy Feldman(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 26-05-2022 Rose Hill Manor had its up and downs for sure. I mean, what business did not face hardship and challenges when faced with Covid? I will admit, our initial experience did not leave us with the greatest first impression, when it came to communication and the handling of this pandemic. However, it is also my belief there was turnover with their staff and this is where Lindsay - our Wedding Coordinator - came into play . It was at this point that our overall experience began to change for the better. Lindsay is incredibly nice and professional and the venue is really lucky to have her. Case in point: Our worst case scenario was realized when we had to cancel our wedding the day of. But, Lindsay was there for us and very empathic and supportive in our pursuit to work with the venue for our 3rd wedding attempt. As it turns out, the venue was also flexible and worked with us to make a dream day come true. Sean Slevin(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 04-12-2021 Lindsay did an AMAZING job making our day effortless and handling any bumps along the way with ease. My wife can have anxiety at the best of times, and we know weddings can only up the ante. With that in mind, Lindsay did everything in her power to make things run smoothly. From helping me herd my groomsmen for photos, to ensuring the DJ played the right songs and had the right intro announcements, she had us walking through our ceremonies and into the reception with ease. I selfishly also appreciated her often grabbing me fresh beers while on the dance floor as I was usually making runs bringing my wife champagne. She has a lot of positive energy and was on point the entire night. If you get her as your coordinator for your nuptials, count yourself lucky! The staff at Rose Hill were excellent and professional as well. The only thing I wish they had done was placed all of the beer options on the bar (we had some high quality brewery beers that they did not display, just placed the Heinekens and Stellas), but when this was called out, again, Lindsay stepped up and made sure guests were all aware of the brewery beers (which were provided by a best friends family who owns the brewery from my hometown). We only had 10 of those beers left by nights end after Lindsay made rounds informing guests and letting the bar tenders know to display them. Needless to say party was lit. If you are at Rose Hill, I highly recommend asking for outdoor space heaters (provided the wedding is in the fall, winter or early spring) we had them up front with a cigar stand and a bourbon bar, it was a big hit! Thanks again for the excellent evening, you helped make our wedding a night to remember! Erin Halseth(bride)4 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 12-11-2021 Rose Hill Manor is a obviously a beautiful venue. My husband and I booked this venue out 18 months prior to our intended wedding date of April 2021. Then of course COVID-19 happened and we decided to push the date back to November 2021 to allow our guests to have the opportunity to get vaccinated if they wanted and for everyone to feel safe. It was a bummer that there was a $1000 fee to move the date but it was listed in the contract clear as day. Luckily, management worked with me on adding an additional passed appetizer and let me come in early on the day of to get ready. I really appreciated the flexibility in those two areas. There also happened to be a lot of staff turnover during our 2 year engagement which was a little confusing at time. Shout out to our day of coordinator Lindsay! She was fantastic! I had moved out of the area and would not be able to come to the final walk through. She was very flexible in working around my schedule and accommodating my situation. My sister and parents ended up going to the final walk through and she was not pushy on getting my final numbers until 2 weeks prior. Lindsay did an amazing job getting everything set up day of. She went out of her way to collect flowers that my florist had forgotten to place on our cake. We gave her a box of filler decorations to be placed around the venue and she crushed it! Everything looked absolutely perfect! The only minor complaint I have was that the vegetables on the day of were different from my tasting and the wine I had purchased was not placed on the tables during dinner. Reviewed on 18-11-2021
Monika Zawasky(bride)1 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 18-09-2021 They say wedding planning is stressful, but it’s way more stressful when you’ve picked the wrong venue like we did with Rose Hill Manor. The day we toured the place, we fell in love- both the inside and outside of the venue were beautiful, and they had a nice long patio where we wanted to have our reception. I fell in love so quickly with the venue that I ignored all the red flags that were staring me in the face. While I can’t go into too much detail due to character limits, here are the biggest issues we had:We were charged a change fee of $1000 to move our wedding during a pandemicWe were sent by the administrative team the check for another client, to include full routing and account numbers. When questioned if this was common, the director of sales got annoyed with usAfter over a year of clear communication from our wedding planner, we were told we could no longer have our reception outside due to a noise ordinance. They compromised, however, they did not communicate effectively. Our wedding planner had reached out at the end of May to schedule our tasting. She got a response from the receptionist that the venue would reach out when they were ready to schedule our tasting. After scheduling a date that was then changed, our tasting ended up being only TWO MONTHS before the wedding. This ultimately pushed back our invitations and our RSVP deadline. HOWEVER, this did NOT push back the deadline that the venue wanted the numbers AND final payment, which was 30 days prior to the wedding. We had to harass our guests to get responses so that the VENUE could have the responses by the deadline THEY wanted them by, to the point where our wedding planner basically told them we will get it to them 10 days prior to the event date which was stated in the contract as the last possible date. After all the issues we had, I ended up having a phone call with the current Director of Sales. I expressed my grievances, and she was nice and understanding. She agreed to give us the price breaks if we were to have more people attend the wedding. At this point (beginning of August) I thought we maybe turned a corner. Turns out I was wrong; the wedding coordinator they assigned to us, while nice, was utterly clueless. She kept botching things left and right that I had discussed with the DoS For example: we were originally told when we signed the contract that we couldn’t use their gold chairs outdoors. So we rented our own. The DoS said they changed the policy and now we could use the chairs, so we canceled the order. During the walk through, we were now told, again, that we couldn’t use the chairs by the coordinator. She was incorrect, as we confirmed with the DoS, but during the confusion she was short and rude about it. Additionally, on our wedding day, many guests mentioned that she was rude in asking them to show her their place card so her “staff” could give out the proper meals. She also told my new mother in law, who was helping to clean that if she didn’t leave RIGHT NOW that she would have to charge us more money for being over time. We were told that, as long as we were actively cleaning up, we had until 1am to leave. The only positive thing was the day of staff, excluding the coordinator, was excellent and super helpful. Especially the bartenders and service staff. It’s a beautiful venue and that’s about it- there are plenty of other beautiful venues in Northern Virginia so do yourself a favor and avoid the headache by going somewhere else. R Baxter(bride)1 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 10-09-2021 My experience as the groom. This is a “buyer beware” location. Venue: Beautiful and Convenient.Food: very good. Event Support staff: very pleasant. Management and communication: awful, poor at best. This is NOT a cheap place. You’re paying top dollar for a beautiful venue. And it IS beautiful and well kept. My wife and I booked this venue in March of 2020 with an original wedding date of 6/5/21. Because of COVID and travel situations for guests, we had to postpone to 9/10/21. How accommodating were they you ask? They weren’t. We originally contracted for a Saturday wedding with 125 guests. We ended up with a Friday wedding and about 90 guests. Did we get any financial credit for moving from a Saturday wedding to a Friday which was supposed to be cheaper? NO. Did we have to pay a $1000 date change fee. (COVID doesn’t matter). Did we get credit for the difference in guest count? Nope. We got a cheese plate for our guests! Keep in mind you’re required to pay IN FULL 30 days in advance, yet they demanded full payment in May for our September wedding, after our date change. We were supposed to have a “wedding coordinator” through them. It was clearly in the contract. This was not upheld and 6 weeks before the wedding they told us we needed to pay them more for the line item addendum. It was a constant battle and took numerous demands and even legal threats by us to get them to honor their written agreement. This went so far so that we were advised and went out and hired a second wedding planner because of the poor communication and complete lack of trust with the staff and management. The turnover of staff was unbelievable, you almost never had a single point of contact or knew who to get a hold of if you had a question. Day of: We had the venue from 1-11pm. Naturally you get there early to prep, relax and take photos on the beautiful grounds. For us these photos didn’t happen. The the landscapers were there cutting and blowing grass from starting at about 1-2pm and we had to demand (multiple times) they leave all the way up to and even when some of our guests were arriving. Completely unacceptable. The answer we got from the “venue director” was “those aren’t my people”. Eventually the landscapers left, but those pictures on the grounds you paid and hoped for…nope, not unless you want grass stains and clippings all over your wife’s white wedding dress and sweaty guys on mowers in the background. Despite that, we made it through and our guests drank, ate and danced the night away. Then came ending time and our grand exit. We thought everything was going well until the venue director demanded and threatened to charge us for extra time for clean up. At the end of the day, our guests enjoyed themselves and thanks to amazing friends and family ONLY, it worked out. This venue is not worth the headache and constant battle to get them to just do their job and follow through on their duties contractually. Buyer beware and don’t rely on them for anything. Taiybah Hessami(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 07-11-2020 Rose Hill Manor was a dream venue for our COVID wedding and if I had to do it all over again, without a global pandemic going on, I would still pick Rose Hill. We were working with a bit of a time crunch because we wanted to have our ceremony before the holidays since cases would spike again and despite booking the venue 6 weeks before our date, the team at Rose Hill was able to make it as easy and stress free as possible. The initial booking/contract process with Turon was great - he was very responsive to my emails/texts and even helped us with some vendor recommendations since we were so short on time. We were then introduced to our month of coordinator, Audrey, who was an absolute pleasure to work with. She is very detail oriented which was a huge help during the walk through and when it came to coming up with our day of timeline. Also, despite having never coordinated an Afghan/Pakistani wedding, she was so respectful of our cultures and made sure certain requests were incorporated into the event. I honestly wouldn’t change a thing about our wedding and Audrey was the one that really helped bring our vision to life. Rose Hill is a beautiful venue and I’m still getting texts from our friends and family about how beautiful it is and what a great time they had at the wedding. It wouldn’t have been possible without the great team they have working at the manors. Reviewed on 17-11-2020
Tabitha Huff(bride)4 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 18-10-2020 The venue is very beautiful and spacious, we had a lovely wedding at Rose Hill, and everyone commented on how beautiful the venue was. Due to the coronavirus outbreak, we had to dramatically reduce the amount of guests we expected to come to the venue. It took some difficult negotiations, but they made concessions for us in terms of pricing that we definitely appreciate. We appreciated their helpfulness, and how easy they were to contact. The food could stand to be a little more tasty but it's event food and certainly not the worst wedding food we've ever had. All in all I have such beautiful and happy memories from my wedding day at Rose Hill and would choose them if I had to do it all over again! Reviewed on 07-11-2020
Katie Spannbauer(bride)2 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 25-07-2020 We hired Gala Cuisine for the venue, catering and month of coordinator. The reason they are getting a 2 star review is simply for how beautiful the venue is, the food, and the month of coordinator we worked with. Everything else was okay. Although we had some pandemic-related issues, there was a number of things that happened that were inexcusable. Pros:Our month of coordinator was Nikki, who was great. We bumped heads on a few things, but overall, I thought she was professional and kept everything organized for us leading up to the big day.Despite the issues we had with the catering contract (below), the food was delicious. Food was one of our top priorities and during our tasting we knew we were going to upgrade to their catering package. The appetizers were amazing. Finally, the location, interior and exterior are gorgeous. If you want a fancy wedding – this is your backdrop.Cons: Our salesperson we worked with was Nicholas. Nicholas was fine during the walk through of the venue, but then when we had follow up questions before/after signing the contract, I always felt like we were bothering him when we emailed or called him. Most of the time he wouldn’t answer our calls, and instead sent someone else to call us. If we were supposed to talk to other people post-sale that would have been fine, but we never got those instructions.A month before our wedding, we were told that we no longer could serve two proteins on one plate despite agreeing to that at the tasting and contracting based off of it. Luckily, we had it in writing that they agreed to do it so they eventually allowed it. However, they framed it as though they were “making an exception” THEN told us that we would have to drop a side because the plate wasn’t big enough… All of this would have been okay if we were told before we locked in our menu, but it was a MONTH before the wedding. We already had menus printed and RSVP cards that didn’t ask for a specific protein choice. We didn’t make our menu an extremely long time before our final wedding date so I have no idea why they all of sudden changed their mind on what they could serve. We ended up having our wedding in the height of the COVID pandemic, and due to that our guest list ended up being much smaller than expected (travel restrictions, sick guests, general comfortability). We gave Rose Hill a 3 weeks heads up that we were going to be significantly below our contracted RSVP number (this is a week earlier than required by the venue). Given the crazy circumstances we are all going through, we were hoping they would give us some sort of refund, but ultimately, they refused. We ended up having to pay for 80 meals above our actual guest count and they wouldn’t even give us a partial refund. The best we could negotiate was for them to prepare the extra meals, which we took ourselves to donate to a local homeless shelter.I don’t know if this is pandemic-related, but the bartenders we had were very green. We had guests teaching them how to make rum and cokes. Shots were served with ice. It was just weird. Also, I really hope this was a true oversight, but we provided the alcohol and found that some of our top-shelf alcohol was not put out at the bars at the start of the cocktail hour. My father-in-law found it in a back room away from the other alcohol. Reviewed on 16-08-2020
Emily Martin(bride)3 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 26-04-2019 The venue is gorgeous and elegant. It was exactly what I wanted. The food was amazing and is still raved about by guests. The staff was great and accommodating. It rained that day and it was supposed to be outside and while they weren't happy about it they were really accommodating and we were able to move it inside hours before the ceremony. However, the venue lost my knife cake set which wasn't cheap, champagne for my girls to drink before hand just disappeared, as well as the hanger from my wedding dress. The venue came off as tough luck about it. I partially blame the wedding coordinator some of this. But it was unfortunate my girls no longer had anything to cheers to celebrate with before hand as well as I will never be able to have my knife set to use again or pass down. Reviewed on 26-04-2020

Nick was helpful and responsive in negotiating a reasonable price. Penny was AMAZING. She helped us pick out our linens, brought in her own table number stands for our tables and really went above and beyond what was expected of her. She even captured moments of our night which we wouldn't have documented without her. I would solely book Rose Hill to work with her. The only drawback is the place is a bit pricey and there are limitations on what you can/cannot do. Everyone that attended kept telling us how much fun they had, how good the food was, and how beautiful the venue was. Laura helped us stay on top of everything in the weeks leading up to the wedding and on the big day, I could not have asked for anything to have gone better. Agni Nayar(bride)4 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 08-06-2019 We had our wedding at Rose Hill Manor, which in our opinion, is one of the most beautiful venues in the area. The Good:- flexibility of silver package ( venue provided service including bartender), linens, tableware and glassware. We had the option to bring our own food.-The venue is beautiful and well maintained. The large columns recently repainted and refloored interior look great. It doesn’t have yellow walls and ugly carpet anymore. -Bar was bring your own alcohol, saves a lot of money. - Location - close to airports, nice safe place to have a wedding. A lot of parking space for guests that is out of sight from the venue entrance.-There was flexibility to pay for extra hours The Bad:-Initial coordination from the venue was poor. There is a lot of chaos about who is a POC for what. Working with the owner was good until the point at which we got the contract signed. An initial meeting lead to no deliverables and false commitments related to planning. Coordination was then supposed to be handed off to owner’s wife. We’d get the okay from her on something one minute and then the next minute get denied for the same thing. We highly suggest to trust your gut and if something doesn’t seem okay to you, don’t wait until the last moment to discuss it. -Nobody contacted us about the final walkthrough, major miscommunication about the date and time. We did not feel confident in her ability to oversee our wedding- we finally met with other employees of the venue and this walk through finally lead to some decision making and planning deliverables. Big relief just couple of weeks before the wedding!-The venue thought we missed a payment, there seemed to be an issue with them verifying which checks they received.-Bartender was hiding our sign with drink list under the bar so our guests were not aware of signature drinks and variety of the alcohol. Also, we had some international guests and the list was in two languages to make it easy for them to order drinks. Also we heard that half-full drinks were taken from the tables as soon as the guests went on the dancefloor. It was frustrating and a lot of alcohol was wasted. Comments:The issue with planning was resolved when we complained. Once we identified employees who are helpful and professional, we were able to work out the major aspects of our wedding as well as all the details. After the first failed planning with the owner and his wife, we met Sabrina Ransom and Nick Suarez. Sabrina and Nick really saved our wedding from disaster! Sabrina prepared a logistics plan and was very knowledgeable. Nick was present and had a lot of knowledge about the venue and was able to answer questions. We had a walk through with Nick and ironed out some final details by chance the week of our wedding (!).Gustavo was an excellent point of contact for access to the venue, he has since moved on to supporting a different venue for the same vendor. If you go with Gala’s other properties he’s great to work with, has a very kind demeanor with prospective customers.Overall, we would recommend this wedding venue to others that seek flexibility from the venue with extending time, bringing your own caterers and alcohol. We highly suggest someone using this venue to carefully choose the staff you work with in getting your planning sessions done. Nonetheless we wish the venue well and we hope they continue to improve their services, thank you! Reviewed on 08-10-2019

The folks at Rose Hill are extremely professional and know how to make life less stressful for the happy couple. From the moment we reserved Rose Hill all the way through our wedding weekend, the staff were responsive and attentive, seeing to every detail and doing their best to help us realize our vision for our wedding day. We must give a special shout-out for our astoundingly helpful coordinator Caitlin (with Iconic Events) who made sure the evening flowed smoothly and people knew where to go so that we could focus on the more fun parts of the day. Caitlin and the rest of the staff showed great flexibility and organization in managing the flow of events throughout the day, between rooms, and with indoor and outdoor moving pieces. We had hoped for an outdoor ceremony, but due to the chilly weather, we were able to make a day of decision to hold the ceremony in the small ballroom. The staff expertly flipped rooms during the cocktail hour to smoothly transition the whole space for the reception. As far as the venue itself, Rose Hill recently remodeled with wood floors (amazing for dancing) and a new coat of paint. The facility is gorgeous. Our wedding photos turned out incredibly, both the indoor and outdoor shots. Our wedding guests have repeatedly remarked to us since the event how beautiful the venue was. We opted to go with in-house catering through Gala Cuisine for the food. I was initially hesitant about this, since I have eaten much sub-par food over the years. However, Gala Cuisine knocked it out of the park. Multiple wedding guests told me it was the best food they had ever had at a wedding reception. The staff also made sure that my bride and I ate, going so far as to follow us around with a plate of appetizers during cocktail hour and later serving us a plated dinner (the rest of the guests had a buffet). Thanks to all the RHM staff involved who made our wedding that much extra special. Reviewed on 15-01-2019

The new wood floors look amazing and get rid of that concern for a pieced together dancefloor.Gustavo was fantastic! Very helpful leading up and on the day of the event. Would call at milestone dates to ensure things were going smoothly. The main concern was the management changed the main paint color of the hall one week before our wedding and did not consult or notify us. We found out because a guest saw it on their facebook. They had previously notified us regarding changing from carpet to wood flooring, so we were confused and distressed. I am so glad we chose Rose Hill Manor to be our venue of choice this past March because Antonio and Gustavo are absolutely lovely to work with! From our very first meeting, I could tell that it was going to be a very good experience. I appreciated how forthcoming they were about their professional opinions regarding what works and what doesn't. Their combined years of experience clearly shows, and they know Rose Hill inside and out. Throughout the process, they kept us informed of changes and renovations they were making to the venue--which by and large didn't impact us very much, but I liked that we never got any \"unpleasant surprises\". Our guests still comment to this day how beautiful our venue was, and how smoothly everything flowed. If you visit them, you may feel a bit put-off by their recommended vendors table. However, I HIGHLY suggest using those vendors, because they know the venue inside and out, and you'll have the peace of mind that that vendor knows what they're doing. Whether RHM gets kickbacks from those vendors is largely irrelevant. This is your big day--the relationship the vendors have with RHM make coordination and planning so much easier, so that you don't have to worry about a thing. The other nice thing I'll point out is that RHM is already pretty tastefully decorated, so you don't have to spend a ton on decorations. If you can, I highly recommend wrapping tulle and Christmas/twinkle lights around the balcony railing overlooking the grand ballroom. We did, and it made the reception hall look like something out of a fairy tale! Reviewed on 14-05-2018

Leading up to the wedding, Antonio and Gustavo were kind, generous, and easy going with me, my family, and my many vendors. On our wedding day, despite all the planning in the world, things would have easily fallen apart if it weren't for Antonio and Gustavo's professionalism and work ethic to provide superior customer service. The weather did not cooperate, vendors ran late, and my Day of Coordinator essentially failed under pressure. With the blink of an eye (and without any prompting), the Rose Hill staff stepped in to make certain that our wedding was stunning, ran on schedule, and that none of our guests were remotely aware of all the chaos that was diverted behind the scenes. In all honesty, the Rose Hill staff generously performed outside their scope of duties in order to save the day. Kathleen Czesniuk(bride)4 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 25-04-2015 We recently got married at Rose Hill Manor and, despite a few communications and planning hiccups along the way, the day turned out better than I ever envisioned.\r\rI had my heart set on an outdoor ceremony on the terrace and an indoor cocktail hour and reception. Over a year ago I chose Rose Hill Manor because the backup location for an indoor wedding (in case of bad weather) was beautiful, as well as the outdoors. A lot of other venues may have pretty grounds outside but if you move a ceremony inside you are crammed oddly in some corner of the banquet room and it just doesn't look very wedding-y.\r\rOver the year of planning I had worked with a great coordinator that I hired with Rose Hill, worked out lots of finite details of my day, and then maybe 2-3 months before the wedding I was informed that she was gone. I admit I did go berserk and I was introduced to a new coordinator, as I had already paid half the fee. I was very anxious about reinventing the wheel, so to speak, and I did not have total confidence. I had had several other vendors screw things up so I was very sensitive to unplanned changes.\r\rLaura was my new coordinator and she did not disappoint! Day of we ended up moving the ceremony inside, much to my chagrin, because of the ominous threat of rain. She re-purposed my decorations, flowers, fabric and made the indoor space look amazing! I never would have come up with some of the creative placements she did.\r\rWhen I arrived at Rose Hill on the wedding day any of my fears dissipated. I admit to being very Type A and I had been a stressed out mess for the whole week. Everything looked beautiful, gorgeous, amazing, perfect. \r\rEach time I had visited Rose Hill I remembered why I chose it. The mansion is stately, with beautiful, manicured grounds and a flawless interior. I loved the sunny yellow walls, the crystal chandeliers, and all the windows. The caretaker, Gustavo, is as sweet as can be. He was so supportive and felt like family by the big day! Antonio is business all the way and worked with me several times to resolve contract or miscommunication issues. He never failed to be a diligent, result-seeking professional.\r\rWe used the in-house caterer, Gala Cuisine, for our menu and bar. I enjoyed the food during our tasting but when it came to be wedding day...the food blew my socks off! Everyone raved about the beef and fish. My wedding was the only one I had been to where the beef was cooked perfectly medium and everything was served nice and hot. The bar flowed freely and everything from appetizers to salads to waitstaff and service was top-notch. I did not lack anything, including appetizers following us around during photo time while all the guests enjoyed cocktail hour.\r\rI loved every aspect of my wedding at Rose Hill Manor (except the rain) and recommend them anytime. I think there are doubts during every part of the planning process but everyone involved with the venue came through 150% on the big day! Reviewed on 10-06-2015
Susan M(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 11-10-2014 We had our wedding reception at Rose Hill Manor and took advantage of their catering partnership with Gala Cuisine so that everything was coordinated together. The pricing was very fair--not much more expensive than if we had booked a room at the public community center with an outside caterer, and for that price we had a far more beautiful venue and a devoted and attentive staff. We worked primarily with Antonio and Gustavo at Rose Hill and Sammy and Allison at Gala Cuisine. They made sure every detail was taken care of in terms of menu, serving and seating guests, making sure we followed our timeline and had everything we needed when we needed it. The day of the event, my husband and I really didn't have to do a thing and everything went perfectly smoothly. They allowed us to bring in our own alcohol with no corkage fee. They even allowed us to come to the venue the day before to set up our decorations, etc, because they did not have an event the day before. \r\rThe only challenges we had with Rose Hill/Gala Cuisine was an occasional seeming lack of communication between the two groups during the planning process (which made me nervous that things would fall through the cracks, but ultimately did not prove to be a problem for the event) and some issues during the contract phase due to a strangely-worded clause in the contract which was plainly there to discourage allowing children at the wedding. So if you are having kids at the wedding, be aware you may need to negotiate a bit on the standard contract depending on your preferences. We were able to negotiate on that clause so that the kids could come and not have to be strapped into strollers for the entire evening... And everything went fine. \r\rI would highly recommend Rose Hill Manor as an event venue due the wonderful staff and the absolutely beautiful mansion and grounds. Our experience there was very positive. Reviewed on 04-11-2014
Anonymous (bride)3 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 21-06-2014 I began my journey with Rose Hill Manor in September of 2013. The venue seemed perfect for the cost, and we later ended up adding a service contract. We told them from day one we wanted BBQ and they assured us they would be able to provide family style dining, as opposed to buffet, during our contract signing. After our final payment was received in May, they said in order for us to have family style it would be an up charge of $2500, paper would need to be on the tables, and a couple other details would need to be changed. None of these up charges or details were mentioned to us when we signed the contract and we were blind sided and stuck a month before the wedding. We took our contract to a legal advisor who said there were huge holes and even our addendum, which was worded in our favor, left room for argument against their claim for extra charges. After much discussion and work with the catering manager, Sammy, we were able to negotiate and agree on an extra $1000 payment for family style. On the day, the venue was spotless, the staff was great and the management did their best to make sure we were taken care of. I recommend this venue, but make sure all your details are laid out in writing or have a legal associate look over the contract before signing. Reviewed on 23-06-2014
Ida Dailey(parent)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 07-06-2014 We just had our daughter's wedding at Rose Hill Manor this past weekend after a year of planning. We had an outdoor wedding and an indoor cocktail hour and reception. The venue is exquisite. The lawns were manicured to perfection. The staff made you feel like you were home. They tied the theme together in such an elegant way. We hired Gala Cuisine (Rose Hill Manor's caterer). Everyone raved about Sammy's food, from the cocktail hour to the reception! Beautifully presented, incredibly tasty and an all around wonderful man to work with! From the beginning where Patty Frank-Zauzig excitedly worked to help the bride and groom figure out their vision, to Antonio's no-nonsense perfect layout design, to Gustavo's warm welcoming heart whenever we needed to pop over, to the staff who ran the event like they were our family and to our event coordinator Allison Colas. She is delightful and very talented. There isn't a question she can't answer and an idea she can't come up with. She is creative, positive and one step ahead of you at all times. I would highly recommend hiring her on the side to run the wedding. We had a few hiccups happen within the last couple of days prior to the wedding. Allison took care of everything and we were able to spend our entire weekend enjoying the bride and groom. Allison made that happen. truly wish I could give this venue and the entire team of professionals more than 5 stars! Reviewed on 13-06-2014
Ashley barreto(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 22-09-2013 After a lot of research trying to find the perfect venue, we found absolutely everything we needed at Rose Hill. I knew it was the one when we first saw it! \r\rThe location is stunning: a beautiful Jeffersonian manor in Leesburg, nestled behind large trees and rolling green hills. Inside and outside, the building is fantastic: elegant, classy, romantic, historical. \r\rThe staff were wonderful to work with (especially Allison & Sammy!) They went out of their way to create our perfect day, fulfilling all our crazy desires. For example: my now husband was dying to have a goat cheese appetizer he had at a company party. Allison went out of her way to create several different recipes at her home to try and find what he described! And on the day of the wedding, we were missing my toss bouquet and she went out to buy flowers and made one for me. She responded to my emails quickly and met whenever we needed to. She was flexible, helpful, and had great ideas. When they didn't have the exact color we wanted for our tables, they ordered new clothes just for us. Needless to say, you won't find any other vendor more reliable and supportive.\r\rThe day of the wedding everything was organized, ran smoothly, and was set up exactly how I described it. When I arrived, it's like I was walked into a dream. Every one of my guests could not get over how beautiful the manor was and how perfect everything was set up. I couldn't tell you how many people told me it would be a hard wedding to top.\r\rLastly, the price was unbeatable. The cost per person included 9 hours, all the food, all the non-alcoholic drinks, table settings, tables, chairs, servers, appetizers, cake cutting, you name it. Everything. Plus, they had an awesome military discount for us. We did the food through them, and wow, people wouldn't stop talking about it. It. Was. To. Die. For. You can see my review on their catering page :)\r\rTo sum, I can't express how grateful I am to have found them! Reviewed on 30-09-2013
Wendy Wilson(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 13-04-2013 Rose Hill Manor was a lovely venue for my wedding, and Patty was great to work with. The only real negative about the place is the price. That said, the building is so picturesque that not much decoration was required. The cherry trees in front of the building were in full bloom on my wedding day, as were the forsythia that surrounds the whole place. Everyone commented on the beauty of the place. I loved that we didn't have to decide if we would have the wedding inside or outside until 2 hours before the ceremony. I also enjoyed the flexibility that the multiple rooms offered; we used the large ballroom for dinner, the foyer for cocktails, and the small ballroom for the dance floor. I really liked that the dance floor was slightly separated from the dining area, as it allowed people to sit and chat if they didn't want to dance. Patty was so helpful, letting me drop in for a few walk-throughs with different vendors. She also really came through on the big day - she helped us set up, and timed everyone's walk down the aisle. Everything went so smoothly...I know Patty played a bit part in that. I will always have a fairytale wedding to remember now! Reviewed on 09-06-2013
Lysandra Torres-Losh(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 16-10-2010 Little on the pricey side, but that's not too big of a shock in this area. Overall it was a lovely venue and accommodated my guests. They do say it seats 150 I believe, but really, we had 100 on the list, and 81 showed up, and had a full dance floor. Any more than 90, I think it would have been a little cramped. Reviewed on 17-11-2010
