My husband and I chose Roswell Historic Hall for our wedding. What I really loved was the “package” Mahi offered which pretty much covered nearly everything we needed for the reception and made wedding planning easy. The venue is beautiful and it was a good amount of space for 129 guests. We had a Jewish wedding and Mahi and her florist created the most stunning chuppah covered in flowers. The decor was beautiful and romantic. Was everything perfect? Of course not. But I think this venue offered an incredible value. I know all our family and friends had a wonderful time. They came up to me saying as much and said it was a very romantic setting. Other highlights included the 360 Photo Booth, good music & cake was delicious. Bartenders did a great job. Mahi also added fog and sparklers for our first dance which really gave it that “wow” factor.Area for improvement- unfortunately the food was not as good as the food we had at the tasting. We had asked for a vegetable side dish and it seemed to us like the caterer had dropped the ball & last minute picked up frozen mixed vegetables which was weird. A few other professionalism issues (the DJ chewed out my MOH right in front of me…he did apologize later.)Overall, I highly recommend. Reviewed on 07-07-2023

A bit quick to plan an entire wedding, especially with our busy schedules. We found Roswell Historic Hall while looking for spacious indoor venues and decided to take a visit. From the outside, the venue looks like a quaint little white building, but inside is this beautifully elegant space that feels comfortable. The primary reason we chose Roswell Historic Hall aside from the gorgeous interior was due to the venue owner, Mahi. When we first met Mahi, we were taken by her professionalism, friendliness, and her candor with us; she was very attentive to what we wanted, and when we told her that we wanted to do as little of the planning ourselves, she took charge of everything. We are not the kind of people who need to approve every single detail, and we trusted Mahi to deliver us an evening we would never forget and boy did she deliver. From the food to the decorations to the DJ, she took our preferences and turned them into the most beautiful wedding we could ask for.If anyone is ever looking for an event venue where the owner will listen to what you want and ensure that you don't worry about a single thing, Mahi and the Roswell Historic Hall should definitely be on your radar. Yasamine Salkar(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 03-12-2022 My now husband and I had our wedding here last weekend and we are still speechless and in awe of how beautifully everything went. In truth, when we discovered this venue, we were so confused and exhausted from trying to figure out all the details of wedding planning and juggling the multitude of vendors. This venue is a one-stop-shop and at first sounded too good to be true. The venue-owner, Miss Mahi, truly handles every last detail. She has contracts with the most exquisite vendors in the city and somehow has the ability to bring any wedding vision to life. She is personable, artistic and a truly competent and expert manager. We had a unique wedding in that we wanted to bring elements from both of our cultures and had a fusion type menu and she seamlessly made this happen. As a bride, I especially appreciated her firm approach and leadership when it came to the schedule, guests (and overbearing parents). She literally ran to my aid multiple times throughout the evening and handled unexpected circumstances with such grace so we wouldn’t have to stress. We felt good in that we were supporting a woman-owned business who employs so many expert local women from photographers to decorator to photo booth expert and baker. Thank you, Mahi joon for saving the day and being such a pleasure to work with! We could not have asked for a better wedding and it’s all thanks to you. Reviewed on 09-12-2022

As a city girl, I knew I wanted to get married in Atlanta but searching for venues was daunting. From the first conversation I had with Amir, he not only gave me the confidence I needed to go through with RHC but the space to go search for other venues too. Anywhere I went, I could not get this beautiful venue out of my head- its high ceilings, brick walls, and perfect location in Downtown Roswell was exactly what I had envisioned for my wedding day, and more. Caroline Brown(bride)1 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 31-10-2020 SAVE YOUR MONEY AND SANITY AND DO NOT CONTACT THIS VENUE. My wedding was supposed to be on 10/31/2020 at Roswell Historic Cottage. However, that did not happen. While the pandemic played a part in this, it was largely due to the amateur business practices of the owner, Amir Persia. The short version is: the space is beautiful. He clearly cares a great deal about it, but does not know how to manage a venue (or any other business) and will make the planning of your event full of undue stress, heartache and concern. I understand that being in a pandemic changed a lot for the event industry, but that does not mean that at any time it is acceptable to ignore emails and calls for weeks. After we put in our deposit, it was impossible to get in touch with him to get simple questions answered or next steps planned. When he finally would respond, it was often asking for more time to do basic tasks that we asked; like sending us the contact information for the DJ. As the date for our wedding grew closer, he had done nothing to honor his part of the contract we signed. Amir’s actions made it clear he did not anticipate our wedding happening, and as the pandemic progressed, it became clear that I would not be able to safely be out in public as I have a compromised immune system. I let Amir know that the contract we had for the event was no longer feasible or safe for me, and he asked for an ADDITIONAL $2,000 to move the date OR I could walk away without my deposit of $1,500. Amir Persia has no qualms with extorting people- the $2,000 was never outlined in the contract that we signed, but the contract CLEARLY states that if the venue is not safe for the renter, that the deposit can be refunded. It is a shame- because we would have loved to be married there, and had budgeted to spend a lot more on the wedding, but because of his bad business practices and ethics he will never see another cent from us. I hope this helps you decide to look at other venues. Don’t waste $1,500 like we did. If you are interested, I know of many other venues in the Atlanta area that were reasonable, kind, and understanding of these unprecedented times, and were able to work with couples to move or accommodate their wedding instead of extorting them. Sascha Segal(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 28-04-2019 I COULDN'T HAVE CHOSEN A MORE PERFECT VENUE! Amir was a wonderful coordinator. There were a few times I got so nervous/anxious because I was experiencing fear of the unknown and when he told, \"I got it\"....HE GOT IT! Everything was so beautifully executed at my wedding. I had both the ceremony and reception at RHC. I had the ceremony on the 1st floor, cocktail hour on the 2nd floor and the reception on the first floor. All the decorations, centerpieces, linens, etc were so perfect. Everything, and I mean EVERYTHING was exactly how I envisioned. Another cool part was since the venue is on Canton Street, I chose to walk around with my bridal party and photographer and we were celebrated by all the people along Canton Street. It was so nice that random people took part in my special day. A big plus with choosing RHC was the vendor list. No, not a preferred vendor list...it's a list of all the people the venue uses so it's a one stop shop (for lack of a better word/phrase). I didn't have to look up additional vendors and keep track of it. Amir was in charge of the vendors and they were there, on time, if not early. DJ Bluue - was great! So easy to work with, very responsive and showed up early. I preferred he didn't take requests from guests and he listened very well to my request. I'd highly recommend him. MomoLuxe (photographer) - did a great job with the photographs I wanted to capture. She was so excited for my big day and that showed and felt very nice. I cannot wait to see the final photos, because the few I previewed from her camera were magical! Hamilton Flowers - did the centerpieces and Irina did a perfect job with capturing the feel/vibe. I loved the floating candles and the gold vases, along with the baby's breath flowers. Beautiful.Bebe's Catering - NAILED IT!!! I'm not a huge meat eater, but I wanted seconds (and even thirds). We splurged for the beef medallions (so glad we did). They were cooked perfectly. Absolutely delicious. We also chose the Lemon Picata Chicken - and that was THE best chicken I've ever had. My family agreed, too. The sides were delicious and seasoned very well, without being too salty. I'm still craving the food. I had an absolutely magical, romantic, fairy-tale wedding and it was because of everyone involved. I highly recommend RHC, Amir, and all his vendors! Why would a caterer move the ice machine? I have pictures that prove that the ice machine wasn't moved at all, but it was the sink that was flooding, NOT the Ice machine. My crew mopped up the water ALL night, nobody from the venue was found. My dress and my bridesmaids dresses were ruined. The venue was HOT as if the air conditioning wasn't on. I bought fans for my guests to use outside in the tent ceremony and they ended up using them inside the venue. We had to pay a $750 deposit twice. Promised uplighting, didn't get it. Then he backtracked and said he couldn't give us nearly $1,000 because chairs were left outside, HIS SECURITY GUARD TOLD HIM TO LEAVE THERE. From the photos it looked beautiful inside so we decided we must look at it. We requested a package of information for the venue but only received an email with a price sheet. No other information at all like the other venues provided. The day of our preview came and it was just as un-informative. The owner's brother met us. We were left to just roam around ourselves and then ask questions which he sometimes knew and other times did not. We did not get a good feeling. There was a large tent set up outside which he did say was an extra $1000 rental. He said that it is rented for the day so they come out and put it up and take it down just for us. However, this tent had been there for several months as we drive by it all the time. It was dirty around the edges and not ready for any wedding. Another red flag as far as we were concerned. The kitchen prep area was dirty and the bridal dressing area is shared with an office with an old dirty rug. We were so disappointed with this venue and crossed it off our list. Anonymous (bride)1 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 22-03-2017 I got married 4 months ago and wanted to do this review when things calm down a bit to see if I would feel the same about this venue...and the answer is yes I do feel the same about this venue. Would I recommend this venue to anyone? ABSOLUTELY NOT! Everything that could go wrong for a bride went wrong. The only PRO side to this is that the venue is beautiful. It's ashamed that it is not run by a more professional owner. Here are some of the scenarios that happened (that could fit)\r(1.) Mahi was suppose to provide set-up/break down of tables/chairs, forks, spoons, knives, centerpieces, linens and backed out 1 month before our wedding. Reasons are unknown. I just got an email saying she was not proving it anymore...yes ONE MONTH before our wedding. \r(2). I signed with this place because I was told we would get the place until 1 am. My ceremony were to start at 4 pm and the bartender she used said she couldn't stay past 5 hours. Well...what will my guest be drinking from 10 pm - 1 am? What's the point in having a place if you can't drink the entire time? So Mahi said we can use someone else...OK fine, but she had all these rules on what licenses and permit they needed. I understand that there are policies in place, but please be upfront about it before we sign with your venue. And she only told this to us 1 month before our wedding, so we were scrambling trying to find a hospitality company that met all her needs and had to pay a premium price! YES, 1 MONTH before.\r(3.) This venue allows outside catering...a HUGE PLUS for us since we are of ethnic background and we needed ethnic food. Mahi did not tell us that the restaurant we were working with needed to give her proof of liability insurance. OK, this is no big deal, but she only told this to us 2 WEEKS before the wedding....2 WEEKS! Luckily the restaurant we were using gave proof right away, but what if my mom and aunts wanted to cater the wedding (which we highly thought about)...then what?\r(4.) Every time we set up a meeting, the owner would be on the phone and talking to everyone else that walked in the venue. Completely rude and unprofessional. Either hire an assistant or don't schedule things at the same time. Overall, the owner did not seem happy with her job. Reviewed on 22-01-2016
Hali Floyd(bride)4 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 31-10-2015 We had our wedding on Halloween of 2015 and it was a blast!! The pictures of this venue do not do it justice, as it is one of the most beautiful, rustic, and charming buildings! Mahi was really nice to work with but when she tells you that the place comes with the linins its not entirely true. We had to pay extra for the linens but that was ok, they are worth it. We wanted a tent that we thought was included - its not. Overall this place is wonderful for any kind of gathering! Just don't use the bartender that comes with the place... Reviewed on 17-11-2015
Jamie Martin(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 26-09-2015 I came across this venue during a Google search. The pictures did it no justice. From my first day visiting the venue and until the wedding the owner, Mahi, was a pleasure to work with. The venue did not require much decorations because the exposed brick walls and chandelier added a true rustic ambience. This venue will not break the bank and you get much more than what you pay for. Tables and and gold chivalri chairs included, with table cloths available for rental. Take a look at it in person, before you pass on this hidden gym :-) Reviewed on 13-10-2015
Kelley Campbell(bride)1 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 24-09-2016 As a newly engaged couple, we were very excited for our first of many venue tours and what a horrible, subpar experience it turned out to be at the Roswell Historic Cottage. While the interior venue was nice enough, the onsite coordinator was completely un-engaging and unprofessional. We had a 10am appointment and instead of sitting us down to learn about us and what we were looking for, she was literally done giving us the tour and information by 10:01am. In addition to her limited attention, she did not offer to give us a tour of the facility or ask if we had any questions. In fact, she only offered an informational brochure upon request. In addition to the poor customer experience, the facility had very limited parking, no outside area to take pictures, and guests would have to wait outside under a tent while the reception area was setup following the ceremony. Based on our brief experience with this venue, I would urge you to mark this off the list. Not even worth the trip. \r\rSincerely, \r\rA disappointed bride Reviewed on 19-07-2015
Christin Szell(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 31-05-2015 We had a wonderful experience at the Cottage for our wedding reception. Mahi made the planning and coordinating SUPER easy. The venue is absolutely gorgeous and requires very little decorating. I would highly recommend the cottage to anyone in the Atlanta area looking for an inexpensive, DIY wedding venue. Niloufar Moffett(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 31-08-2014 I can't say enough good things about this venue. The venue owner/coordinator Mahi was very accommodating. She helped in every way we needed. The day before the wedding I realized I needed an extra long table for the buffet and more chairs and she had it there and ready for us the day of the wedding.\rI knew I wanted to book the venue as soon as I visited the site. The brick walls inside give the venue a very rustic/vintage feel and it was exactly what I was looking for. The decorations (chandeliers/drapes) included make the venue look more glamorous and the upstairs area gives extra space for wedding activities. \rYou also have the venue from 10am till 2am, which was more time for us to do everything than any other venue I had visited, especially for the price.\rI chose to only book her venue and hire all other vendors myself but I know they have package options as well.\rAgain, I can not recommend this venue enough. We loved everything about it and the pictures from inside the venue came out gorgeous. Reviewed on 25-09-2014
Heather Morningstar(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 26-04-2014 This site is new to events and is simply amazing. It is an old public library that has been transformed into a beautiful venue. We used the cottage as our reception venue. It has high ceilings, exposed brick walls, a bar area, and an upstairs loft area. We had looked at several venues and nothing had jumpe out at us. We fell in love with the cottage as soon as we walke in. We bookd it the same day.Mahi and her staff are very easy to work with. Reviewed on 13-05-2014
