Royal Palm Banquet Hall Reviews
Malala Malik(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 18-10-2020 We had our reception this weekend! Karen was our main person and we coordinated with her everything. Our event got postponed in March due to COVID-19. Honestly me and my husband had the best time of our life with our family and friends. It was intimate and beautiful. I had no issue with the staff they were all very friendly and kindly reminding the guests about following the Covid rules which was wearing mask. You didnât had to wear a mask when seated and eating. They served food to the guests which was amazing as per the current situation happen. We felt that was necessary to do. From Food to decorations everything was perfect. I would definitely recommend this place to any of my friends and family. If youâre looking for stress free event to have in the future or now during Covid-19 they will not disappoint you. Thank you so much Karen for everything you done for us we really appreciate it. Malala & Mubin Reviewed on 21-10-2020

Karen is great sheâs the only good thing they have going for them! Frank was good also!! I like them!! Mike the maĂźtre dâ was rude when I asked for 2 chairs at a table for 10 he said if they put 10 chairs at each table that would be 135 chairs. I said I paid for 125 people, but there are kids under 5 that I didnât have to pay for instead of just getting me 2 chairs he asked if he should take the kids chairs from the table next to the one we were at all in from of my guests by the way!! I said forget it and for my ownAnother event occupied the foyer for pictures I got 2 pictures in their beautiful foyer when I knocked on the office door the woman looked at me rolled her eyes and spoke to me like I had some nerve to ask politely that they let them know we want to take picture too. Mike told my DJ no to starting candle ceremony at 1015-1020 he said 11 and my dj said no they need to dance after Mike said why they are dancing now. No time for dessert bc candle ceremony didnât start till 11 and Mikes defense was in his Experience candle ceremony only lasts about 15 minutes. Now anybody whoâs been to a sweet 16 knows that candle ceremony is at least 45 minutes to an hour his excuse was he was never given the itinerary. my guests were rushed out at the end and coffee and cake cake was served at the buffet during my daughters candle speeches which was rude all because Mike didnât get the itinerary or listen to my dj or ask meThere is so Much moreSpace heaters in bridal sweet but to cold to turn off not only dangerous but why wasnât it heated correctly?Fingerprints on glass where place cards go icky stuff underneathAt least 4 chairs brokenSlushies didnât freeze after first batch Mike wasnât attentive to my daughter introduced himself With a plate of food never said what his job was or that if she needed something for her to come get him she through the was the waitstaffWaitstaff argumentative with guests in multiple instances Between what sauce was being used on pasta to how to cut the steakFront 3 tables on both sides didnât get appetizers when I said something they brought out one tray of one appetizer thatâs it and about 15 min before dinnerDividers separating other party barely keep the sound out. Both my guests and guests from the other party were complaining about this. Bathroom attendant could care less no toilet paper wasnât friendly did nothingManagement heard out my complaints seemed to understand and then offered me $500 âgiftâ (per them gift not refund) and $2000 credit to a future event in the next 2 hrs. Why would I go back I was reasonable and said I understood they had costs but manager Fathema said after their costs this is all she could refund me. I highly doubt they make $500 per party Oh and before anyone can respond back no I didnât tip Mike or the waitstaff their behavior was rude and unacceptable. All my guests said how beautiful my daughter looked how great my center pieces were how great my dj and photographer were but how my venue lacked. People complained to me after about how rude and inattentive the staff was how they didnât clean up glasses from the table and how they felt like they were kicked out after candles. Just disgraceful! Sarah Willams(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 29-12-2018 My husband and I went to many different venues before finally finding The Royal Palm. As soon as I walked into the ballroom I knew this would be the place that I would have my wedding reception (couldn't beat the price either!). I can't put into words how unbelievably happy I was on my wedding day. Everyone at The Palm went above and beyond to make sure my husband and I were happy with everything. The food was phenomenal. We have heard so many great things from my guests about the cocktail hour, entrees and viennese hour. The service was amazing and everyone was so surprised when the waiters and waitresses came around asking people if they wanted more food during dinner. Pictures of this venue are beautiful, but seeing it in person is completely different. I'm so thankful to the stuff for helping to make my wedding day absolutely perfect! Reviewed on 05-04-2019
Ava Willams(maid of honor)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 22-12-2018 My sister recently got married at the Royal Palm. I have been meaning to write this review for past couple of weeks but have been busy with her moving out of Home so it took me longer. However, I wanted to take my time to write this review and mention all the details of the event. I am always very critical about service. If I am going outside to eat or hold my event somewhere and paying tons of money for it, my first expectation will be the service. Food taste is always subjective. The same food can taste amazing to someone and disgusting to someone else. I read mixed reviews about the place so I was very skeptical when I went to the place for the first two weeks before the event. We were even more worried when we heard the ownership has changed from the people we have booked the place with.We said down with a girl to do our finals, Karen! She was the most transparent, clear, and sweet person to work with. She walked us through every single details. She helped us out with the floor plan, itinerary for the day, and a lot of the set up details like placement card and party favors. On the day of the event, the room was set up we had of time perfectly and beautifully. Our maĂźtre dâ was available all the time. The bridal attendant had the most amount of patients possible even when my sister had a meltdown. There was more than enough food and it tasted delicious. We were extremely happy with the plaza wedding package. The DJ and MC kept the party going until the last minute. We have already received some highlight pictures of the day. I would recommend The Royal Palm to anyone and everyone I know for any kind of parties. They have a big room that can accommodate more than 400 people. They can also hold a small party of 35 people in theyâre smaller room. Reviewed on 05-04-2019
Opu Rahman(groom)1 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 25-08-2018 First and foremost, I DO NOT recommend Royal Palm. I have never felt the need to write an online review before, let alone a negative one. However, I feel obliged to write one this time because no one should spend 20k on a venue/catering and have it be a debacle the way ours turned out to be. My wife and I had our wedding reception at Royal Palm Banquet Hall on the evening of August 25th, 2018. Although the overall venue was spacious and clean, the way the appetizers/dinner were served and managed was an utter disaster. The appetizers were served at 7pm but was quickly shut down by 8pm; many people were sternly turned away for appetizers even though plenty of it were left. The dinner was served in a buffet style but the staff failed to refill the trays. My guests were waiting on the buffet queue for well over an hour for the food and at some point started leaving the line because they thought they ran out of food. The staff, especially Taheya and Shubro, were inattentive, oblivious and nonchalant about the chaos and did little to address it. Needless to say, my family and I were angry and embarrassed by the whole ordeal and DO NOT recommend this place. Reviewed on 27-08-2018
Richa Marwaha(bride)1 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 07-05-2019 HORRIBLE HORRIBLE HORRIBLE experience...I would not even give the one star that I have. My brother-in-law wedding was there and the staff is RUDE, ILL-MANNERED the worst I have ever met. They don't know how to respect elders and talk to the customers. They served cold food and when asked to heat it up they started arguing. I would suggest not to go there as they will be super sweet to you when you go to book the hall but they show their true colors once your function starts. The management SUCKS, we had to walk out of the function in the middle as they were just WORST MANAGEMENT I HAVE EVER COME ACROSS. I am in event management myself and my experience with them was the worst. Reviewed on 07-03-2018

Anonymous (groom)1 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 21-06-2017 Avoid this facility: the operators cannot be trusted. We arranged to have a party for approximately 150 people at the Royal Palm. We were shown a cocktail room (between myself and my wife, they showed us this room three times and told us that it was used for cocktail hours). We negotiated a price and were told that the contract would be sent to us the next day. However, when we got the contract, it was over a $1,000 more than we had agreed to. We were told that this was a \"prime time\" fee because we wanted a Saturday night. It's bad enough that they charge this at all, but even worse that it was added after we had an agreement.Still, we liked the date we had and did not want to haggle. So, we bit the bullet and agreed to sign the contract. Before doing so, though, we asked one of the owners, Sonia, two things: First, if she herself would be overseeing our party. We were told that not only would she be there, but that her cousin Tamin would work the party, as would her brother. We also asked that, if possible, we could be the only party there that night, and even offered them cash for this privilege. While Sonia explained that she could not guarantee that we would be the only party, she stated that it was unlikely that another party would be booked, since we were booking an event that was to take place in about a month.Well, a few days after we signed the contract, my wife went in to go over the invitations. Sonia told her that there was in fact another party that night - but here's the kicker: the party for that night was not something someone had come in and booked, but a party that her husband had decided to give for a friend. Not only that, but Sonia, Tamin, and Sonia's brother would all be guests at that party, despite telling us that they would work our party. It gets worse: Sonia then told my wife that our \"cocktail hour\" wouldn't be done in the cocktail room that we were shown, but would be done in the main ballroom - so, basically, it wasn't a cocktail hour at all but just an extra hour of the party. No one would reasonably define that as a cocktail hour, yet because they decided they didn't like the deal they made with us (apparently) they went about screwing us over.I went by with my wife to try to work things out. We were even willing to pay extra to get the cocktail room that we had already been promised. But Sonia and Tamin couldn't find it in themselves to be reasonable: they told us that if we wanted the separate cocktail room (which we had already made a deal for), we would have to pay $3,000 extra. They tried to explain this away by saying that the contract didn't specify that the cocktail hour would be done in the cocktail room (as ludicrous as this seems). Again, they had shown us a cocktail room three times and told us that that is where they did cocktail hours. Yet, somehow, we were supposed to magically figure out that our cocktail hour wouldn't be done in the cocktail room. Also: Sonia's husband, the owner, seems to be a volatile man: he ranted and cursed at me on the phone and repeated, \"Do you know who I am???\" I'm not sure what that meant, but he doesn't sound particularly stable. Please, do yourself a favor and find another place. Arisa Budhu(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 24-05-2015 My experience at Royal Palm Banquet Hall began in January when I first went to take a look around. We were looking for a hall that could accommodate 300-400 people. Sana was our guide. During our visit she walked us around the hall, showed us what a potential set up could be, informed us of menu option, and gave us an estimate. We left with a good feeling. \r\r\r\rI checked five other halls before this one, so far we had been rushed around or been treated as though we were being done a favor by touring their hall. That was NOT the case at Royal Palm. We decided to book. \r\r\r\rOver the next few months I tortured Sana - I called, e-mailed, and texted every single time I had a question...she was so patient. She reassured me constantly that everything was taken care of and answered every question without hesitation - no call or text went unanswered, no hoops to jump through. She was unable to be there on the night of my event but promised to have everything ready before she left for the day. She did not disappoint. \r\r\r\rThe night of the wedding I arrived to a hall that was already set up and perfect. I had no adjustments to make - she really had taken care of it all. My Maitre' D, Mike, was filled in and on the ball. He constantly checked with me to make sure things were in place, he had food brought to the bridal suites, and reminded me of the little things that I was forgetting to do. At the end of the night he brought out tables and set up the favors for me so that I wouldn't have to pass them out myself. \r\r\r\rEverything about my experience at Royal Palm was great. The hall was beautiful and the staff is nothing short of amazing. I'm so glad I chose it as the venue for my wedding. I would definitely recommend them. Ask for Sana!! She's the absolutely best!!
