Rubicon Farm is a countryside wedding venue in West End, NC. It sits on 30 acres and is just a short drive north of Pinehurst, NC. A native of Winston-Salem, NC, Rubicon Farm’s owner, Elizabeth Norfleet Sugg, has worked as an editor and book designer for over 30 years. Elizabeth’s works include the North Carolina-based books An Appetite for Art, Museum of Art, Piedmont: Flight of the Pacemaker, and Old Salem Brought to Life about the late artist Pauline Bahnson Gray. Elizabeth recently left her post as managing editor of both Sandhills and Wilmington magazines. She now runs Rubicon Farm’s wedding venue full-time. The Farm features a restored 1820s Scottish farmhouse, a large covered terrace, historic outbuildings, and several wedding ceremony sites. Rubicon Farm is ideal for intimate elopements and custom weddings for up to 150 people. The team at Rubicon Farm offers an initial consultation to get a feel for what you want your wedding day to look like. The team then coordinates every detail of your chosen wedding package. They organize a ceremony and reception site fully decorated to suit your needs, fresh flowers, an officiant, professional photography, your wedding cake, and much more. All you need to do is share your vision, select a caterer, and let the Rubicon Farm team do the rest.

There are not words in the English language capable of expressing how positive my opinion of Rubicon Farms is! The whole wedding was absolutely perfect and the planning process was so stress free it really felt like being taken care of by a friend. Elizabeth and her team handled the decorations, accommodating the needs of our guests, coordinating with the catering, finding an officiant, and the cake, we barely had to lift a finger and they truly understood our aesthetic and what we were going for with our very small and intimate wedding.I also highly recommend spending the night at the cabin, which is gorgeous and such a romantic way to end the night!

I cannot say enough good things about our experience with Rubicon! The whole process was so stress free, and we were treated with such care and attention to detail every step of the way. We had a small and intimate wedding, and they absolutely nailed what we were going for- it felt exactly \"us\" in every way! It was a perfect and beautiful day. We stayed the night at the cabin for our wedding night and I highly recommend that as well, it was so cozy and romantic. Elizabeth even dropped off a homemade breakfast in the morning that was AMAZING! We will treasure these memories forever ♥️

This is a beautiful venue. Elizabeth and her staff are amazing. They make sure that you are 100% happy, They just hosted my daughter’s wedding and the day was perfect, starting with the setup of dressing the table to perfection to making sure that the flowers, cake and everything else went perfect. If you want an outdoor wedding Rubicon Farms is the place to go. They are so helpful from start to finish. You are treated like family.

Museum of Art, Piedmont: Flight of the Pacemaker, and Old Salem Brought to Life about the late artist Pauline Bahnson Gray. Sugg recently left her posts as Managing Editor of both Sandhills and Wilmington magazines, and runs Rubicon’s wedding venue full-time highlighting the natural and historic setting at the family farm in West End, N.C.
