Ruby's Garden- Wedding Venue Reviews

I had planned to get married at Ruby's Garden, I'd been planning it for years. BUT the week before our wedding (our wedding was June 1st 2013) it was pouring for days (14 inches in some locations in the Black Hills) and we had to move the ceremony and reception we had planned for this garden, which basically ruined much of the wedding plans. I realize this is not the fault of Ruby's Garden, however some of the issues with the rain could have been helped by Ruby's Garden: they do have tents in case of rain, but were unwilling to put the tents up more than a couple hours in advance for the ground to dry out a bit. If the ground had had a day to dry we could have lived with muddy feet a little bit, however it is not Garden policy to put the tents out any earlier than when our rental formally began, which in our case meant we had to move the entire ceremony and reception because we can't afford to rent the Garden for 24+ hours at $100 an hr. Also, no one had rented the Garden for any event prior to our scheduled wedding so setting the tents up would not have interfered with anything. \r\rGood service, but unfortunately policies interfere with common sense and they have a mud muddle of a Garden now. Would have LOVED to have even my ceremony in the Garden, much less pictures or anything. Reviewed on 10-06-2013
Heather Herman(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 29-09-2012 We were married the last week in september and the fall colors were out of this world gorgeous. The staff is wonderful to work with and open a building for the bridal party to use before the wedding. You can use anywhere on the grounds to do pictures which is great. There are other people on the grounds when you are taking pictures but they do close off Ruby's Garden to the public. Reviewed on 16-10-2012
Cassidy Nixon(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 07-07-2011 Such a quaint, peaceful, & intimate venue. Renee was great to work with & the volunteer staff was wonderful setting up our chairs and tables. The little \"bridal shed\" was perfect - I got to peek out & see my groom in the garden while I was getting ready - it was so fun! Loved this place! If I had it all to do over again, I would not change a thing! Reviewed on 26-10-2011
