Sage Cottage Reviews
Fay W(parent)4 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 05-05-2019 We held our son and daughter in law's rehearsal dinner at Sage Cottage. We and our guests stayed in the house for the weekend. The food was great, accommodations were comfortable, and a very peaceful atmosphere. Reviewed on 14-05-2020
Dre Graham(groom)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 30-11-2019 Phenomenal place that can be used for several different kinds of events from weddings to cooperate parties. The venue is ran by the owner Noreen so you get someone who is super invested in their product in service instead of someone who is third party. As a wedding vendor myself I can appreciate a great venue and for as much as they offer they are extremely affordable. Reviewed on 11-02-2020
LESLIE KIMBELL(other)1 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 22-12-2019 We initially became interested in this venue to hold a 50th Anniversary luncheon for our parents. 40 to 50 guests. Spoke to and coordinated with someone On Staff that I will not name here, over the course of about 5 weeks. Discussed menus, dates, Linens Etc. Went for a site visit November 22nd, 2019. Approved everything and called in on November 23rd, 2019 to pay a $1,000 deposit. When I called in to make my deposit, I was told that somehow in the last less than 24 hours, that they had decided to start holding a Sunday brunch that would interfere with the time we wanted to have our luncheon. The owner suggested that we just have everyone come and eat brunch food and not worry that there were strangers at what we had planned to be a private luncheon and vowel renewal. She then told me that they would not let any of the other guests eat the $450 three-tiered 50th Anniversary cake I've ordered for my parents. I really wanted to ask her if they were going to have someone at the door stamping hands so that we would know who was there for our party and who the strangers were that were just having biscuits and gravy . She then went on to say that we could also move our event to 3:30 or 4 in the afternoon. I don't know about you, but when I get out of church I'm ready to have lunch and I don't traditionally wait until 3:30 or 4 in the afternoon. This business, with zero warning, pulled the rug out from under us after a great deal of planning and discussing of menus and so forth. Reviewed on 25-11-2019
Emily (bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 16-11-2013 We held our rehearsal dinner at the Sage Cottage Inn, and I fell in love with the venue. The website does not do this place justice. Jim and Sharon, the owners, created a wonderful menu for my family and friends and everything was delicious. We held the dinner in their indoor space and it was nice and cozy. There is also a huge outdoor patio that would be very accommodating for a dinner or wedding reception. \rThere is a beautiful space for a wedding ceremony and enough space for the bride and groom to stay with friends and family during the wedding night. \rWe stayed at the Sage Cottage Inn on our wedding night and some of the wedding party stayed in the available rooms, too. It was great to wake up the next morning to a delicious breakfast and continue the fun with our friends. The house is set back from the main road and overlooks a mountain with horses. \rDefinitely check this out for either a venue or accommodations. Reviewed on 04-12-2013
Alana Moore(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 19-10-2013 Sage Cottage Inn is owned/run by a lovely couple...the Southerlands. Jim & Sharon took great care of me, my friends and family during the wedding. Their inn is BEYOND gorgeous, inside and outside. This was a perfect venue for my 65 guests, complete with an outdoor ceremony, indoor reception with an outdoor fire pit. They own a restaurant and cook their own food, which is phenomenal! I highly recommend this location for a party, wedding, or celebration of any kind! Reviewed on 05-11-2013
