Saint Kate the Arts Hotel Reviews
Kate Harrison(other)5 out of 5 Rating
The Saint Kate was the perfect hotel for our wedding block! We had a lunch the day before with family in the Dark Room and it was private and delicious. Our guests loved the record players in each room and the front desk gave each room in the block a welcome bag and complimentary champagne. After our rehearsal, we all hung out at the bar for drinks before dinner. Everyone had a wonderful time and I would highly recommend this hotel! Reviewed on 19-11-2023

It's been 6 months and people are still raving about the food. We also had our rehearsal dinner there and it was amazing! I have no complaints whatsoever. Kimberlee Schacht(bride)4 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 31-12-2022 We had our wedding ceremony and reception in the Simone Ballroom of Saint Kate on 1/31/2022. We were initially looking at 2023 dates, but there was an opening and we decided to go for it! We planned our wedding in 2.5 months and it could not have been done without the support of Saint Kate. We started the process with Melanie and she was very communicative, kind, and helpful. She reassured us that the team could definitely pull off a wedding on short notice. Being a NYE wedding and a short turnaround, we knew that a hotel that included catering was ideal because it checked a lot of boxes: food, bev, hotel rooms, parking, etc.. And the beauty of Saint Kate speaks for itself with its art exhibitions, decor pieces, etc., it was a no brainer! We were happy to sign the contract. We then worked with Emma, the event coordinator, and figured out the logistics: layout, food/bar items, and all the details for the day. Emma was my go-to person throughout the entire process. She is a smart, no nonsense event coordinator and I really valued her opinions when planning my event. In the short amount of time we worked together, it felt like she really knew me. She would address concerns that I had but never voiced and that speaks a lot to her experience and attentiveness. For the actual day-of, we worked with Joey and his banquet team. Joey is kind, calm, and extremely accommodating. You definitely want someone like that for the day-of madness! After our first interaction, we knew we were in good hands. I can’t say enough good things about the staff at Saint Kate–and this extends to the valets, staff at The Bar, housekeeping, etc. Everyone is so professional, friendly, and seems genuinely happy to be there. We knew our guests would receive top-knotch customer service. Being a wedding, we were not without our hiccups. Ours was with our menu. We had a budget we were trying to stick to but also understood that NYE means the booze is flowing and guests need to eat. It caused a LOT of anxiety for my fiance & I, however, immediately after I voiced my concerns, the team stepped in and got creative. We worked with Matt to finalize our menu and made sure it was hearty but within budget. That really saved our wedding and we are extremely grateful. We adore Saint Kate and are so happy that we got to host our wedding there. We recommend to all to visit The Bar and check out their art and live music (it’s free!). If you are planning to host an event, we recommend you really consider the type of event you are throwing and your budget. Don’t let a tighter budget hold you back from hosting a great event–and that’s true for any event! Saint Kate is a 4-star hotel in downtown Milwaukee, rightfully so. It is NICE. Our event was black-tie optional and I really couldn’t see it being anything less than. The staff makes you feel like you are royalty from the second you pull up to the second you leave. So, the money is definitely worth it. All that being said, we absolutely made the right choice and would do it all over again. Reviewed on 21-01-2023
Catherine Zastrow(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 13-08-2022 My husband and I continue to receive compliments on our wedding reception to this day (3 months later). Every moment of coordinating meetings, talking through logistics of the day, and touring the place was a breeze! Emma is an absolute dream to work with, as is every staff member we met (chef, servers, concierge, you name it!). We felt very taken care of and did not have to worry about the flow of the day. We LOVED the food (the chef is truly an artist), enjoyed our his/hers cocktails, and noted that everything fell into place with cake/florist delivery, table set-up, DJ, etc. Emma also helped get us in contact with Relics, who is a furniture rental company, to put together a \"Central Perk\" corner with couches and chairs (we are big Friends fans). They made our dream become a reality and we cannot express enough gratitude toward them. Our guests have raved about the unique experience they had while staying at the Saint Kate--the food, decor, friendly staff, timely flow of the day, and the little details (getting champagne as everyone checked in, excellent staff service to the room, the record players in every room, and so much more). Truly, it was a memorable day and I would HIGHLY recommend pursuing the Saint Kate for your wedding--you'll have your guests raving about it for months afterward! Reviewed on 14-11-2022
Michelle Vuong(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 03-09-2022 My husband and I had a phenomenal experience hosting our wedding at Saint Kate-The Arts Hotel. Matt worked with us since we booked our venue; he was organized, thorough, and gave us great advice throughout the planning process. We had a food tasting with our parents and Saint Kate knew exactly how to host us. The food was delicious and we got a lot of compliments about our venue. They provided us a complimentary room on our wedding night in addition to giving our parents a discounted rate. During our wedding day, the flow and organization went smoothly. I never had to worry about a thing because the staff was on top of everything. One thing we really enjoyed was the venue included many costs that other venues usually like to add up (charge for cake cutting, silverware, bartender, chairs etc). The price tag was slightly expensive BUT we had an absolutely amazing wedding day. SO happy with our day turned out!! Reviewed on 29-10-2022
Amanda Klinge(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 14-08-2021 Our wedding at the Saint Kate - The Arts Hotel was an absolute dream! The venue was unique and beautiful, the event staff (led by Evan) were extremely professional and attentive, and our day-of coordinator Emma was a rock star. We had many guests compliment the food and drinks, saying they were some of the best banquet-style meals they've ever had. With a year-long postponement, and multiple staff changes during the pandemic, we were initially a little worried about how our wedding would turn out, but everything was perfect and it was a day/weekend we will always treasure. Nika Kwech(bride)1 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 14-07-2018 Honestly if we could give no stars we would. We tried to block rooms here - they gave us the wrong phone numbers for the hotels, we had 3 different managers during our experience because individuals kept leaving, and the guest information didn't work. They were so rude to both my parents and me. I was told from the beginning to only block 10 rooms with my guest list being 250. Then we of course filled the block within a month and the rate almost doubled. It was cheaper to book rooms outside the block than with it. They told us they could honor the rate at the Pfister, which was hardly helpful since we got married at the Marcus Center (directly across the street). In the end we switched hotels. I would not even recommend that my out of town guests stay here now for non-wedding related stays. Reviewed on 03-10-2018
Jazimine Epps(bride)3 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 30-09-2017 The wedding was absolutely beautiful, BUT the headache of dealing with the staff was ridiculous. Genessa Tjader(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 08-04-2017 There are many options for reception sites in Milwaukee, but I am so glad we chose the InterContinental! Our CSM, Theresa, did a flawless job in meeting all our needs, making great suggestions, trouble-shooting when the need arose, and be extremely well-prepared in all our meetings and on the day of the reception. The food was phenomenal, the hotel was well-decorated, rooms were clean and comfortable, and the staff was very helpful and pleasant. We held both a cocktail hour on Friday and brunch at the Kil@wat on Sunday in addition to the reception on Saturday, and were very pleased with those also. I would highly recommend this hotel for any event, particularly a wedding reception. Thank you, InterContinental! Reviewed on 01-06-2017
Meredith Locke(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 22-10-2016 Our reception was held here and it was perfect. We worked with Marisa and she was so professional, accommodating, and a real pleasure to work with! She walked us through every step with the logistics, and it all turned out exactly as we planned. It's a elegant, modern hotel, and everyone is cordial and very friendly. The cost for food was very reasonable, considering the other options around town. 10/10 would wed there again! Jackie Sitkowski(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 15-08-2015 Overall, we were so glad to have chosen the IC as our venue! We had our ceremony and reception there. At first, it didn't seem affordable, but once we realized everything was included, it turned out to be affordable and a great choice for downtown Milwaukee. The hotel is beautiful and the food was amazing. And there are so many beautiful photo opportunities right around the hotel. Aside from not having our ceremony room fully set up until a little over an hour before guests arrived, everything else went smoothly and just as we had hoped. Jennifer, our coordinator, handled all the details, gave us suggestions when we weren't sure what to decide, and made sure everything went just as planned throughout our event! We didn't have to worry about any details once our wedding began, which was an amazing feeling, and if they had any questions, Jennifer was able to quickly ask us or check with us about things throughout the night. Our guests had nothing but good things to say about it all and we would recommend it to anyone considering it! Reviewed on 15-09-2015
Kristy Blum(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 29-08-2015 We used the InterContinental for our reception venue and we could not have been happier. The food was amazing! We got so many compliments on the food (definitely not \"normal wedding food\"). We worked with Marisa and Theresa in the event planning and the two of them were on top of every detail. The day was executed by the team perfectly. You can tell they do this a lot! They truly did an amazing job down to every little detail. We had champagne in our bridal suite at the end of the night, I was able to get a special side with my dinner, they brought the ping pong table up stairs for our guests to enjoy during cocktail hour, there was never a line at the bar! There was not a single thing that I can look back on and say I wish it would have gone differently. I would recommend this venue to everyone! Reviewed on 11-09-2015
