Saltwater Farm Vineyard is simply the best! The venue is absolutely breathtaking, from the florals to the grape vines, to the gorgeous wooden doors, to the bright and airy bridal suite overlooking the grounds. We had about ~120 people at our wedding and it was very comfortable inside and we still had a large, fun dance floor. We could have used the upstairs space, too, if we had more people but didn’t end up needing it. The patio with an included white tent was perfect for cocktail hour. We had lights installed by Dawson Entertainment for the event space inside and out and it gave a magical look to it. Beyond the look of the venue, the wine is delicious—especially big fan of the pinot noir rosé. The staff at SFV is amazing and makes you feel like family every time you walk in. It was great working with Merrily and Jessica, both of whom are incredibly sweet, responsive, and helpful with whatever we needed leading up to the wedding and during the event. If we had to do it again, we would get married at Saltwater over and over!

We had our wedding here and would do it all over again! Merrily is super responsive and so kind. We loved the indoor-outdoor feel. My dream wedding would be 100% outdoors but living in New England I just knew that wasn't a realistic plan (even in June!) When it rained on my wedding day I was extremely bummed but thankful the venue still allowed for a beautiful indoor ceremony. It wasn't what I envisioned but was so intimate and romantic (rare for a back-up plan!) and honestly I loved it. Thankfully the sky cleared and we were still able to get some outdoor shots. I will let the photos speak for themselves!

Saltwater Farm Vineyard was our dream venue. We had been to the vineyard a bunch before becoming engaged, regularly seeing weddings being set up on the premises, and we knew that when we got married, we would get married there. We loved the idea of being able to return to the vineyard at any time and relive our day. The vineyard is stunning – we got married outside by the vines and then the cocktail hour and reception were indoors. Everyone that attended kept commenting on how beautiful the venue was. Their bridal suite is also incredible with tons of natural light, a full kitchen and bathroom, and a sweeping view of the vineyard grounds. Our wedding was about 120 people and from the moment you decide to have your wedding with Saltwater, you become part of the Saltwater family. Their entire staff is incredible and SO easy to work with and you will not regret having this venue as the backdrop for your day!

The vineyard is beautiful. The building has a cool industrial feel. But neither of these are the reason we chose this venue for our wedding. From the first tour, the staff here felt like family. Saltwater Farm Vineyard was simply the perfect setting to get married at - we were blown away by the beauty of the venue. We had 180 guests, and we were able to seat everyone downstairs and also utilize the upstairs space, which worked out really well - we were hesitant about putting tables of people upstairs, but they were able to overlook the balcony to view speeches and first dances without any problem. The bridal suite was spacious enough, even for a bridal party of 10+ ladies getting ready for the big day! We were lucky to have had perfect weather for the day and get married on the lawn by the vines - BUT, had there been inclement weather, we know the setup would have been just as beautiful under the tent which eased any concerns over potential weather ahead of time. Merrily at SFV was extremely helpful and easy to work with; she answered questions in a timely fashion and was very friendly. If you're looking for a sign to book SFV, this is it :)

We held our wedding ceremony and reception at Saltwater Farm Vineyard on May 29, 2022, and we could not have picked a better venue. Saltwater is absolutely gorgeous and the vendors that Merrily and Michael (the owners) have curated over the years are truly fantastic. We were lucky enough to have amazing weather and our guests (150 in total, which was a good size for the venue) thoroughly enjoyed viewing the grounds and sampling the wine during our cocktail hour. We are grateful to Saltwater for hosting our special day. We were, unfortunately, the first couple at the venue that had to postpone our wedding day (originally set for April 25, 2020) due to the pandemic. Saltwater was generous and patient with us and we are so grateful to them for working with us over two years to safely finalize a date. Throughout this process, it was always a delight to see Merrily, Michael, and Jess. They were thoroughly professional and helpful each step of the way. Our wedding was everything we had hoped for, and we will be back to visit Saltwater as much as we can. It is a truly special place.

We adore Saltwater Farm Vineyard. The vineyard itself is absolutely stunning and is a picturesque setting for a wedding. The owners and staff are beyond friendly and helpful, and treat you like a member of the family. Everything about this venue was perfect for us - from the open and spacious reception area, to cocktail hour on the gorgeous tented patio. Our wedding party was impressed by the bridal suite, complete with full kitchen and full bathroom, plus ample natural light for pictures. We also loved that the vineyard closes completely for your wedding, which is very rare for a vineyard. From our first visit, it was clear that Saltwater Farm checked all of our boxes, and we didn't even consider another venue. We could not recommend Saltwater Farm more - Merrily and Michael have an amazing vineyard, and they and their entire staff will treat you like family every single time you visit.

My wife and I just got married a few weeks ago at Saltwater Farm Vineyard and we have nothing but amazing things to say about the venue and our experience. The owners, Mike and Merrily, have created the most incredible space for a wedding venue by transforming a piece of history into the perfect spot for those seeking a high end rustic feel with the backdrop of a serene vineyard. We have nothing but superlatives to dole out for the entire Saltwater staff from Jess to Robbie and everyone in between. Our special day was nothing short of breathtaking! The looks on our guests faces as they entered the perfect space, a true fairy tale made reality dreamed up by my wife, were something neither of us will forget. We will be returning for many years like so many couples who got hitched on site before us to enjoy the vineyard, the staff and Saltwater's own incredible wine selection. This is the perfect space to get married and we could not recommend it more!

Saltwater Farm Vineyard was the perfect location for our fall wedding. The location is amazing, and incredibly peaceful. The building is beautiful, even with no additional decorations (even though we did bring some). There is a full suite upstairs for the bridal party to get ready, including a full bathroom and kitchen!We had both our ceremony and reception at the vineyard, and everything was beautiful. The platform for the ceremony was right at the start of the vines, so none of our guests needed to walk very far. The cocktail hour was on the back patio, which had more than enough space for our 75 guest wedding. We had the reception inside, which also had plenty of space. Our guests loved the look of the building (so do we) and enjoyed having separate, quieter spaces to go if needed. However, most of them spent a lot of time on the dance floor!The Saltwater Farm Vineyard staff are incredible! Merrily and her team are so warm and welcoming, and they are very attentive to detail. During our cocktail hour, we had a wine tasting, where the staff was able to tell our guests about the different wines we had chosen. Our guests loved the wine (always a good thing when you get married at a vineyard!) and the location.We would definitely recommend Saltwater Farm Vineyard as a ceremony or reception location (or even just for a wonderful glass of wine!)

If we could give Saltwater Farm and their staff 15 stars, we would. Easily one of the most beautiful places in CT, and they go far above and beyond to make sure their wedding couples (and families) are taken care of. Merrily, Michael, and Jess were welcoming and communicative from the first day we stepped onsite, through over a year of planning. Every time we were in town (we're from Philly) we were welcomed with open arms and a glass of wine to walk the grounds and ask any questions we had about our big day. Day of, there was no question that we had chosen the perfect setting for our wedding. The space was immaculate and we had no worries at all while we got ready. We are so excited to return to Saltwater for anniversaries and special occasions for the rest of our lives. Pro tip: They have a fire pit. Use it!

Every time we were in town (we're from Philly) we were welcomed with open arms and a glass of wine to walk the grounds and ask any questions we had about our big day. Day of, there was no question that we had chosen the perfect setting for our wedding. The space was immaculate and we had no worries at all while we got ready. We are so excited to return to Saltwater for anniversaries and special occasions for the rest of our lives. Pro tip: They have a fire pit. Use it!

Merilly and Michael make you feel so special and you can tell they take a lot of pride in what they have created at SFV. They really help guide you to help make your wedding perfect by recommending the vendors who know their property the best. This is not only the best location for a wedding but one of the best places to visit in Stonington, CT.

Lori, our day of vineyard representative was absolutely fantastic. We were so excited when we found out she would be working our wedding after meeting her on several brief trips to the vineyard (and especially after answering a myriad of questions from my super excited mom.) The bridal suite was a bright and fun location to get ready. Every aspect of the day that followed was exactly as we had imagined it would be and more. The venue was also a ridiculously fun spot for our rehearsal- complete with wine, oysters, and live music. Overall, I would say one of the best reasons for booking our wedding here was that we felt everything was taken care of, leaving us worry-free on the day of our wedding. The vast majority of the vendors we hired were recommendations from the vineyard, and they all worked together flawlessly. Someone actually commented at how calm and happy I seemed, for a bride, on the morning of our wedding. All I can say is that, after all the care and attention shown to us by SWF, A Thyme to Cook (Catering), A Gala Affair (Flowers), Power Posse (DJ), Skyview DPV (videography), my husband and I both felt free to relax and enjoy the day! We chose Saltwater Farm as the venue for our 6/16/18 wedding. After doing extensive research on many CT and MA venues- we narrowed down our list to six sites that we wanted to visit. The moment we walked into Saltwater Farm, we had a great feeling. We were looking for the perfect blend of rustic, industrial, and natural and SWF was certainly all of that and more. We met with the owner Merrily, who provided answers to every single question I had (and I am an event planner by profession, so I had A TON of questions). From start to finish, our experience with SWF was outstanding. Every visit we planned with vendors was coordinated without issue, we were welcomed into the tasting room and recognized as a client by the tasting room staff. Any time we saw Merrily or her husband at the vineyard, they asked how planning was going and if we needed anything. Merrily was extremely prompt and thorough with all communication. Honestly, even though SWF does many weddings each year- we always felt like we were the only bride and groom getting married there that year. The attention to detail, the insurance of privacy for the day of your wedding, the meticulous care of the grounds, and the amenities available at the vineyard (their bridal suite is top notch) were outstanding. I would also highly recommend ordering lunch for your bridal party from MBAR, which Merrily and her husband also own.

You cannot make a better venue choice than Saltwater Farm Vineyard for your wedding. It is truly a magical place. From the first time we pulled into the driveway, I knew we were in good hands. I am not the girl that’s been planning her wedding her entire life and was a bit overwhelmed at the thought of selecting a venue that was not a typical banquet hall. I immediately fell in love with this place and Michael and Merrily’s enthusiasm for the vineyard and their couples made selecting Saltwater an easy choice.These guys are consistently booked every weekend during wedding season but always made us feel like we were their only wedding couple! And it’s not just the owners, but the entire staff treated us like we were family throughout the planning process. They’re all experts in wedding planning and their preferred vendor list was a lifesaver.We had planned to have our ceremony inside but heavy rain forced us to have it indoors. Even inside, the ceremony was beautiful and so many of our guests commented on what a spectacular place it was! The on-site bridal suite was absolutely perfect and it was so nice to have an on-site place to get ready the morning of. I cannot say enough good things about this place. We truly feel like we gained a family this year in the entire gang at Saltwater!

This venue is the best combination of rustic and modern. It had all of the amenities we wanted and more. The bridal suite was so beautiful I wanted to move in! The bathrooms were clean and updated. The space felt extremely comfortable, guests could stay inside and dance or go outside and enjoy the scenery and fire pit. It gave everyone many options to enjoy themselves throughout the night. The owners were extremely nice and personable. Every time we visited, for the wedding or otherwise, they treated us like family. I will continue to go back here with friends and family to enjoy the beautiful and peaceful space and the delicious wine.

Overall: Saltwater was an unbelievable venue for our wedding and we were absolutely thrilled with our experience from top to bottom. The Venue: SWF speaks for itself. The property is beautiful and well-maintained, the patio and 'runway' provide an incredibly welcoming atmosphere and the scenery can't be beat. As beautiful as the outside is, the inside is what will sell you. The beautiful dark wood and winery equipment create an unbelievable space fit for an incredible party.Owners/Staff: Merrily, Michael and their staff were wonderful to work with throughout the process, truly making you feel a part of the family. Anytime we had a question, concern or procedural step to get done Merrily was responsive and helpful. As the first decision we made in the planning process, the SWF team was critical to all the pieces coming together and they were understanding top to bottom as our plan evolved. The vendors they suggested helped us ensure quality across the board and their knowledge of the options across the Stonington/Mystic wedding community was beyond helpful as we made our decisions. Ceremony: We had our ceremony on site and couldn't be happier with it. We used their platform and two wine barrels as opposed to the trellis but you honestly can't go wrong. If you're looking for a venue for an on-site ceremony, I'm not sure you could find a better one than SWF... With the ceremony between the vines, cocktail hour on the patio and the reception indoors it made for a perfect venue.Flexibility: The one thing to know about SWF, and they are extremely upfront about this when you inquire, is that they are a functioning business with extremely high standards and policies. The vendor list can be narrow, as they only work with proven vendors they know will respect the venue. While this meant the vendors were of the highest quality, it also meant they didn't come at bargain prices. In no way did this take away from our experience, but something to know going in.

We had our wedding at Saltwater Farm Vineyard a few weeks ago, and it was absolutely gorgeous. The staff there on the day of the event was very helpful, and we were beyond happy to be celebrating our wedding in such a gorgeous location. We were able to enjoy having the firepit out on the patio for the evening hours, and several guests took advantage of the gorgeous walk out to the water. We are so thankful to the vineyard for allowing us to have our wedding celebrations at SWFV.

We had our wedding at Saltwater Farm Vineyard a few weeks ago, and it was absolutely gorgeous. The staff there on the day of the event was very helpful, and we were beyond happy to be celebrating our wedding in such a gorgeous location. We were able to enjoy having the firepit out on the patio for the evening hours, and several guests took advantage of the gorgeous walk out to the water. We are so thankful to the vineyard for allowing us to have our wedding celebrations at SWFV.

After looking at lots of Venues in CT, some too ornate and crystal-chandelier-y and some downright scary, we found Saltwater Farm. Everything about it was exactly what we wanted. There is a wonderful bridal suite overlooking the vines, a lofted area for extra bar space or for overflow guests, classic beauty, and a gorgeous setting. Merrily and Michael take much pride in making their vineyard the most amazing place in Eastern CT. The wines are delicious, and the dark colors inside are perfect for any wedding style. The bathrooms are large and well kept. This venue is really not suitable for more than 170 guests. We had 150, and felt that it was perfect, but we did have to place guests in the lofted area. Our outdoor ceremony was slightly cold and overcast, but beautiful all the same. If it had been raining, we would have moved our ceremony indoors, which would have been beautiful too, but not as beautiful as the vines! \rThis is a venue that is slightly more costly than others, but 100% worth it!

My girlfriends and I decided to do an impromptu bachelorette here and had the most lovely afternoon enjoying the fabulous white wine with a picnic on the patio. The staff here is so friendly and attentive. It is now a favorite place my now husband and I frequent.

Growing up on the central Connecticut shoreline, there are few and far between venues that will hold 200ish guests, have an amazing view and not feel like a wedding factory. My husband and I had looked at just about every wedding venue from Hamden to Old Saybrook with very little luck. It was suggested to us to look at the vineyards out by Mystic and Stonington. I had no idea CT even had vineyards! We made an appointment with Merrily (on a Saturday night at 10pm - she responded as soon as I sent the email!) . As soon as we walked onto the property we knew this was the place we would be married. It gave the feel o being rustic chic. We felt our guests who feel at home at this place, not matter whether they were from small town CT or big city NYC! What we didn't realize was Merrily, Michael and the rest of the staf would make my husband and me feel like family. Throughout the entire wedding process we got little emails to check in on us, amazing vendor suggestion lists, and everytime we went out to Stonington to do wedding stuff, we always stopped a the vineyard. We were welcomed each time, and every knew we were a saltwater couple. What is also nice about the venue, while the wine is delicious you are not forced to serve it at your wedding. you just need to buy a case. We had a wine tasting during our cocktail hour. our guests were able to try all the wine, and even take some home at the end of the night. A great favor that we didnt need to supply :) We just got back from the honeymoon and cannot wait to get back there to say hello, and of course get some more wine! Thank you Merrily and Michael!

My husband and I got married at Saltwater Farm Vineyard on September 7th, 2012. When we first arrived to check the venue out over a year ago we both knew right away that it was the place we wanted to get married. We originally didn't want to use a vineyard because of the need for an outdoor tented reception at most vineyards. Saltwater Farm has gorgeous outdoor space for the ceremony and cocktail hour but the interior of the vineyard is stunning and perfect for a wedding reception. The dark wood and stone fireplace along with the loft and slate patios, it is all beautiful. We still have guests saying how beautiful of a location it is. Aside from it's beauty the people at the vineyard are great to work with. Merrily was so responsive to all of my emails and each time my husband and I would visit she would make her best attempt to be there to see us. Paul the manager is also great and very helpful with suggestions from what wine to choose to where to host an after party or rehersal dinner. Overall we are SO happy we chose to get married at Saltwater Farm. If you are looking for something different then your run of the mill wedding venue we would highly suggest SWF. We couldn't have asked for a better venue, day and staff to work with.

The venue is absolutely beautiful and everything was perfect. The staff was great although the owners did come at the end of the night and looked miserable and were rude to my in laws. If they wouldn't have come and would have let there fantastic staff handle the evening we wouldnt have anything bad to say!

Saltwater Farm Vineyard is the most beautiful venue to get married at in CT, hands down. Obviously I am a little biased because I got married there, but I honestly believe that it is the most gorgeous, romantic, unique, creative, breathtaking space there is for a wedding. Michael and Merrily, the owners, are absolutely amazing. Merrily responds to any e-mail within minutes - she has THE best business sense out of anyone I worked with for my wedding. They are the nicest people to work with and so proud of the gorgeous space that they have created. And rightly so. Our guests were absolutely blown away when they saw where our wedding was held. If you want a wedding that stands out from your friends' and family, you cannot go wrong if you pick SWF.

My husband and I visited Saltwater Farm Vineyard for a wine tasting and absolutely fell in love with the venue and knew we wanted to get married there. Working with the owner Merillee was great, she was very responsive and helpful. We booked our wedding in July, 2010 for a date in September, 2011, and when we booked they were already booked for almost every Saturday in the Spring, so it is important to book early. The price for the venue is a bit steep, but we felt it was well worth it for such a stunning venue. They have also changed a lot of the rules in their contract. They will now only allow couples to work with specific caterers and have other recommended vendors as well. We did use one of their recommended caterers, Gourmet Galley, and it worked out well because they are used to working in the space.\rAll in all, we thought it was the perfect space for our wedding, and we received SO many compliments on our choice.

My husband and I wanted a space that really reflected the two of us. The refurbished old airplane hangar into a modern space is so different. And their wine is very very good. The Connery's who own the vineyard were so welcoming and accomadating.

Getting married in April we knew we couldn't count on an outside event but it was okay because the vineyard itself offered such a great setting. A refurbished airplane hangar with lots of charm--original beams, wine tanks, barrels, fireplace, loft...\r\rThey are just getting established as a main wedding venue so definitely putting lots of restrictions in place--know the rules in advance, there are a lot of them!
