SaltWater Fields Wedding & Event Barn in South Thomaston, ME, is Maine's only barn on the ocean. That means here, newlyweds won't have to choose between a barn and the sea; they can have both. This stunning venue offers couples a unique blend of a rustic and luxurious seaside atmosphere. Just over three miles from Rockland, this eight-acre oceanfront property boasts ample ceremony and reception space and remarkable photography opportunities. Owners Tina and Jimmy Hendricks are a married duo who searched for a seaside barn to renew their vows. After not finding a venue that suits their wishes, they elected to build it and now offer other couples a romantic site to exchange vows and begin their magical adventure into marriage. SaltWater Fields Wedding & Event Barn is an all-season venue with controlled temperatures for convenient comfort all year round. With space for up to 250 guests, nearlyweds can have the wedding of their dreams surrounded by their friends and family. Couples can use two spacious wedding suites as get-ready rooms, providing a private space for preparations and touch-ups throughout the day. The picturesque surroundings offer a choice of ceremony sites, allowing nearlyweds to exchange vows indoors or outdoors. The barn provides a stunning space for a sit-down meal and dancing far into the night. Antique furniture and sparkling glass chandeliers add to the romance and magic of the atmosphere. Newlyweds can avail of a selection of rental services for their event, including tables, chairs, benches, stemware, silverware, antique props, linens, and more. Couples and a number of their attendees can also avail of various on-site accommodation options, including a guest house for 12 and seasonal Glamping tents that each sleep 10 people.

Tina L. Hendricks (Owner) Dear venue seeker, thank you for considering us. First, you should know that my love for the ocean & weddings runs deep, & I dream of sharing that love with you. A few years ago, my husband and I searched for an event barn on the ocean to host a vow renewal ceremony. Our goal was to celebrate our achievements as a couple and the loving blended family we each gained. Having no luck finding a barn on the ocean, we decided to build our own--we already owned the perfect piece of land. Having been a manager, public speaker, Mrs. Maine in 2011, & worked many weddings, it quickly became my dream job.
