Sand Petal Weddings helped create what was described by pretty much all our guests as the best/nicest wedding they have ever been to. The day went smoothly and was truly perfect for both us - bride and groom - and our guests. Nikki connects you with great vendors. Our officiant, Bonnie, was fabulous, food was great, florist was fantastic, our violinist, Yordan, was a wonderful addition, and the photographer captured our day beautifully. Nikki's goal is clearly to give the bride and groom what they want and she achieved it with us. Her crew work hard to keep things on schedule also.

I was highly impressed with how perfect everything came out. I truly don’t even know where to start as I have not a single complaint of the entire experience. From day one Nikki was extremely helpful, detailed, and most of all willing to accommodate any request of ours to make our day exactly what we wanted. Every vendor that she works with was absolutely amazing. The food and cake were delicious. We choose to use a steel drummer for the ceremony and he played the songs we selected so beautifully and really set the island tone. The wedding planner and her team had the ceremony run so smoothly and no interruptions from your typical public beach guests. The photographer and videographer were the best I’ve ever seen. They were different companies but they worked amazing as a team and they were super personable and patient. I’ve already received a sneak peek of the photos and they are priceless. When we arrived at the reception, Nikki and her team were so organized and so extremely catering to us. I never had to question anything through out the night or even worry. I got to sit back and enjoy my guests and live in the moment. The DJ was hype and had a great vibe to keep people dancing and having fun. Nikki and her team made sure to accommodate every request we made and truly let us leave that night in AWE at how amazing it all turned out. I am forever grateful for the experience of using Sand Petal as they allowed my dream to come true and we didn’t have a single stress throughout the process.

Nikki was absolutely amazing! They are super flexible with locations; booking a beachside hotel block was a little out of our budget, and they were able to get a public beach permit for us. The entire process leading up to the wedding was literally worry-free. Their most basic package contained everything we needed and then some. I loved the sand ceremony and the shell toss!Sand Petal is also one of the only vendors in the area that allows you to book the ceremony and reception separately. If you're shopping around, you know that struggle. The beach reception from Sand Petal wasn't something we could handle financially (though the price was far from unreasonable) and being able to hold a reception elsewhere was a lifesaver.About a week before our wedding, a tropical storm was set to blow through on our date. Nikki was great at staying in touch and helping us find the backup solutions we needed. They will do as much as possible to make sure your wedding is on the beach, the exceptions being a literal hurricane. We were able to set our backup location across town, and Nikki immediately got in touch with our coordinator to solidify the backup plans.The tropical storm passed us JUST in time and we were able to have our dream wedding. It was indescribably beautiful. A slightly rainy morning meant the beach was practically empty, so they put us right up against the water.Bonnie, the officiant, was lovely. You have plenty of time to answer her questions before the wedding. She was so kind and sweet, and everyone in our audience adored her. She also filed our marriage certificate for us, so we didn't have to worry about a thing.If you're looking for an affordable Sarasota wedding that still looks amazing, Sand Petal is a great option. Could not recommend them enough.

WARNING….DO NOT BOOK!!!! This company is all about money. Long story as short as possible, I booked with this company (living out of state) because I read the reviews on the website and spoke to an agent, and thought I was getting a great deal along with great service. Prior to booking, my rep was friendly, knowledgeable, and answered all my questions. However, when you book with this company, the hotel recommendations are not as advertised. I made the initial deposit only to find out that some of the hotels they “partner” with don’t even offer to hold weddings any longer. Some require to be booked for 2 weeks or require the entire location to be rented (mind you, I only have 25 guests) and one location, I couldn’t reach because the phone number was out of service. My plan was to use one of these locations to make the process as easy as possible. I expected this to be a fun and exciting time and this company has ruined this for me. Now I have to call multiple locations in FL (where do I even begin) and find out all of the necessary information. I paid $3,900 for the deposit and the company is refusing to refund any money even though no work was done. (They don’t start planning until about 60 days out from your wedding.) I don’t expect all of the funds back but due to the false advertising, it would be nice if we could meet somewhere in the middle. Also, the rep mentioned that I booked during one of the busiest months so they shouldn’t have a hard time rebooking my wedding date but they still are refusing to fix the problem. I now have to go through court proceedings while trying to plan my wedding. Please don’t make the mistake that I did.

We could not imagine how beautiful our wedding would be when we hired Sand Petal Weddings. Nikki our coordinator went above and beyond to help us design such a beautiful wedding. She was always there via email or phone call to answer any questions we had. Every single piece of the wedding we designed Sand Petal Weddings and Nikki came through from the design of the chairs and bows on them, to the 4 bamboo post fabric tied down with starfish design, to the palms lining the aisle, to the shell toss, to the violinist, to the photographer, and the officiant Nikki attention to detail is out of this world. We were so blessed to have hired Sand Petal Weddings to plan our wedding day and we have 65 guest that said to us this was the most beautiful wedding they have been to, I cant express enough what Sand Petal Weddings and Nikki meant to our special day Thank you so much for such a beautiful setup for our wedding day...Thank you again Nikki ...Love Michael & Angela Trainor married 10-23-2021.

On the wedding day she had a backup plan in case it rained and thankfully we made it through the ceremony just in time. We worked mostly remotely with Nikki, as we got married in Florida and reside in another. It all went smoothly, and any questions I had were answered quickly.The wedding had to be moved up to an earlier time of day d/t weather; Nikki walked us through all the options and helped us make to best decision for our day - it turned out beautifully! Not only did we have to gather our guests for an earlier event, Nikki had to get the crew moving for set up and ensure the cellist would be available as well.She took care of it all so we could focus on ourselves and our guests. Kathy assisted with the ceremony as well, and provided the guidance for it all to run smoothly. Received rave reviews about the yummy cake too, so very pleased with the bakery used.Highly recommend and was extremely satisfied with our choice!!

Easiest planning experience ever. Sand Petal made our wedding day so beautiful and relaxed. They offer great packages that are customizable to whatever it is you may want. I didn’t have many specific requests, but my husband wanted a steel drummer to play for our ceremony. Sand Petal hooked us up with a great musician who added such a fun, island vibe to our ceremony. I also can’t imagine a more affordable way to have an open bar! Amazing options and and overall wonderful, laid back experience.

Being from out of state, the process was extremely easy and they pulled off an absolutely flawless wedding that you could only dream of. We had no complaints from our guests, only multiple comments that this was the best wedding that they had ever attended!! We highly recommend working with Sand Petal Weddings. Sand Petal Weddings completely exceeded all of our expectations of what our wedding day would be. We are SO SO pleased and can't thank Cathy, Nikki and everyone else on her team for the amazing work they did. Everything from the initial planning to the execution of the actual day was excellent to the highest level. We always felt like a priority and that they truly appreciated us. Even during a tropical storm when the beach was gone and there were high winds, Cathy figured out a way to work with all the vendors to make the Ceremony and Reception look like a million bucks. If I could rate them 10 stars I would. I honestly felt that the SPW team poured their heart into our day and made us feel so special. As an gay couple, we felt nothing but the BEST wishes towards us from not only SPW, but all the vendors they work with. I can't say enough positive things. Our guests were so in awe of how smooth things went and how awesome the entertainment was. From a very practical perspective, I thought that the total cost of the wedding was VERY competitive.

Amazing Amazing Amazing!!! Can’t thank Cathy and Lisa enough for the outstanding job of making our beach vow renewal wedding a dream come true into a reality. From the first phone conversation to the end of the night of the vow renewal wedding Cathy and Lisa made sure everything was right(even monitor the weather just in case for plan B since the wedding was in July(during the rainy season) for the Big day, they organized my vow renewal from beginning to end with us in mind. I live in Alabama but wanted a sunset wedding in Florida so planning a wedding over 700 miles away was going to be no small task. Planning a destination wedding proved to be challenging so I really appreciate Cathy knowledge, experience, and candor when it came to weighing different decisions. Great communication and responsiveness via phone and email. They have beautiful wedding setups and decorations for the packages which was really hard to choose what decorations. If you want everything about your special day to be perfect, use Cathy and Sand Petal Weddings. They are simply the BEST!!!!

Couldn’t have been more impressed with Sand Petal Weddings. They were absolutely lovely to work with, very knowledgeable, professional and organized. They genuinely made our wedding the most amazing time we could have imagined as well as made the process leading up to it as simple and painless as possible. We spent a lot of time looking at different options, venues, caterers, photographers, DJs, etc and by the time we came across Sand Petal Weddings we could not have been happier to hand all of that over to somebody else. I consider myself to be pretty handy, well organized and good at planning but I could never have imagined how much really goes into planning a wedding!It was very apparent Cathy and Lisa both have a ton of experience and knowledge on planning such special events and they quickly put our mind at rest that it would all be taken care of.They were very understanding with our budget restraints and were in no way pushy to upgrade/sell us things we didn’t want which was great! Originally we were very hesitant about hiring a wedding planner/organizer or buying a “package” as we’d always assumed it would be far more expensive, but I really don’t think we could have put it together without them for any less money and I’m sure it wouldn’t have been even half as amazing. They really do have every possible detail covered and have a plan for everything .I cannot recommend them highly enough!

Our wedding day was absolutely flawless! From the Officiant to the Photographer to the Dj, everything was Perfect! They made everything so easy and after searching around quite a bit with everything that comes in the package you cannot beat the price! We had originally wanted to go to somewhere like Aruba or Hawaii for our beach wedding but family members were opposed to flying out of country so when I found Sand Petals it turned out to be even better because not only is Siesta Key beyond beautiful but we had so much fun doing so many different things on the island and then topped it off with our honeymoon at Walt Disney World complete with the Minnie & Mickey Mouse wedding hats!!! It was all a perfect dream come true and only wish we could do it over and over again!!!! :)

It has been a little over 4 months since we were married and reliving it again now brings tears to my eyes! It was such an amazing day and truly a dream come true! We were worried about planning a destination wedding and how we would work out where everyone would to stay and the logistics of everything but Sand Petals made it super easy! The welcome packet we received had all kinds of suggestions for not only hotels but area restaurants and hair stylists and transportation! We weren't able to fly there before booking but when we did 3 months later Lisa met with us at the warehouse and patiently showed us all of the different options even helping to create something that would flow perfectly with the colors I wanted! We did a cake tasting while we were there too and that was fabulous as well! We loved all of the people they hired! The steel drummer at our ceremony was awesome! The Dj was awesome too and had everyone up and dancing all night! We just simply had the night of our lives! I cannot think of anything that went wrong! It was absolutely perfect! It is hard now to attend other friends and family regular banquet room type weddings without Todd and I looking at each other with a smile knowing our wedding was beyond amazing! We chose Sand Petal Weddings after much research and couldn't be more happier with our decision! It was the best day of our lives!! We chose the tented package with luau show and boy did we all have blast! Our guests have raved that ours was the best and funnest wedding that they had ever been to and that really meant so much to us!! Our pictures are amazing as well! I sware some of our sunset shots look like magazine covers! Cathy & Lisa not only were there every step of the way but were with us the entire wedding day making sure there was not even a hiccup! We even begged them to join us at our after party dancing at Gilligan's down in Siesta Key Village! Sand Petals was amazing! My husband Billy and I got married on 4/29/18 on Anna Maria Island at The Beach House. They handled every detail for us from the start of our planning process to the very end as well as throughout the entire wedding da. We are so glad we used them to help make our planning experience worry free and to have had such a beautiful and perfect wedding day! Every detail from the cake to decorations and logistics all flowed perfectly for our special day! We only have happy memories of our perfect day. One of my favorite touches was when Cathy cake onto the beach with champagne for my husband and I and gave us moment to soak in our wedding day alone with the sunset in the background. Truly unforgettable. Our only complaint is that we wish that day could last forever. Cathy and Lisa were just hands down amazing! Highly recommend.

I am honestly not sure where to start with Sand Petals. They truly went above and beyond with my wedding and make you feel like you are the only wedding they have (which I know they have many). I was from out of state, so everything was done over phone, which was a little scary at first! Once I got to know Lisa and Cathy, I knew I had no worries. They were literally ALWAYS willing to call me or email me, they were constantly checking in to make sure all my plans were the same so everything went smoothly, and they were so incredibly sweet! I had the most perfect wedding day, and I know it was because Sand Petals made sure everything went so smoothly. I would recommend Sand Petals to everyone I know who wants a destination wedding!

I can not put into words how phenomenal these wedding planners are. They have style, grace, talent, patience... everything a bride needs in a wedding planner. They literally do all the hard work for you. Every bride appreciates a quick response and they were on top of my millions of e-mails and i never felt like i was nuisance with all of my questions. Cathy and Lisa at Sand Petal were amazing. We live out of state and working with them made planning everything from so far away very easy. They were always very responsive and gave great feedback and suggestions to all my questions. They kept everything running smoothly, the day of the wedding, even with a few small hiccups from our 4 year old ring bearer and mother of the bride.The ceremony itself was gorgeous. They didn't originally have the color bows that my bridesmaids would be wearing, but after I sent them a color swatch, they were able to order something new and it matched perfectly..We chose the aquarium reception, and it was awesome. Guests can roam around and look at a majority of the exhibits. It definitely makes for a unique experience. The DJ they provide was great as well!We had a lot of people tell us that it was one of the most beautiful and fun weddings they had been to. I can't recommend SPW enough.

My husband and I knew when we got engaged that we wanted to get married on a beach and Florida was the perfect place because we both have family there. My Aunt, who lives in Siesta Key, Florida, saw a Sand Petals wedding taking place while she was walking on the beach one day. She went up to the wedding planner and asked for a card so she could give it to me. She said the wedding was beautiful and that we should consider getting married in Siesta Key and using Sand Petals. Well the research began. I found out that Siesta Key is ranked as the #1 beach in the US. Then I began looking at the Sand Petals website which described out all of the different options. My dad, my husband and I decided we had to go check it out for ourselves. We met with Lisa who couldn't have been nicer. She went over every detail with us and my husband and I became so excited. Before making a final decision, we decided to go check the beach out. As we walked out on the beach imaging everything Lisa had just told us, we knew it was perfect for us. So, we went back the next day to meet with Lisa one last time before we flew home to Maryland. We picked a date, made a deposit and the wedding planning began. Now I was a bit worried about how I would plan a wedding in Florida while living in Maryland. I can't thank Lisa and Catherine enough for answering every question I had. I was a rookie at this, so I had no idea what I was getting into, but Lisa and Catherine made it so easy. We had several emails back and forth over the 10 or so months. They also gave me a bridal questionnaire packet that explained exactly what I needed to pick out. They even provided all of the vendors, so I didn't have to go searching for them. My husband and I went back to see Lisa and Catherine a couple months later so we could choose the décor, colors, etc. which helped a lot because we got to see first hand what we were choosing. When the big day finally came, I could see the wedding tent going up from my room. I would peak out every now and then to see what else had been set up. Each time I looked, I would get more excited. Once I finally got out on the beach, dressed and ready to go, I was completely blown away. It was amazing. It was everything I had ever dreamed of. Every detail was perfect. The officiant was very sweet, food was amazing, staff was very helpful and friendly, the cake was out of this world, and the DJ played every song we wanted to hear and more. This combination made for a unforgettable wedding. Every guest repeated over and over how beautiful everything was. I even had several people tell me that it was the best wedding they had ever been to! Lisa and Catherine did such an amazing job helping me plan my dream wedding and getting every detail perfect down to the last bow. As I look back now, 3 weeks later, I wouldn't change a single thing. I am so thankful for Lisa and Catherine. They are truly amazing and I would recommend Sand Petals to any and every new bride. You wont regret it!

We were recently married in May and decided to go through Sand Petal Weddings. We live in Maryland and although we do have beaches here, they aren't as beautiful as the gulf beaches and we wanted a beach ceremony and reception. I came across SPW by simple searching google for Florida beach weddings. I was blown away by how beautiful everything was on the pictures, I truly thought it was too good to be true. Especially everything that was included in their packages. Needless to say, I was hesitant at first to entrust strangers to create my most memorable day at a place on the gulf I've never even been. Of course I had tons of questions that the ladies at SPW were always willing to take time and answer. I am SOOOO glad I booked our wedding through them. They were absolutely amazing and very professional. My wedding turned out to be even more beautiful than the pictures on their website!! I am so very pleased with our decision to allow them to create our dream wedding! If I had to do it all again, I wouldn't have changed a thing! These ladies really know their stuff and are so easy going and extremely easy to work with. I highly recommend them to anyone getting married!

I can't speak highly enough about Sand Petal Weddings. They made our day absolutely perfect!! We live in NJ so I thought it would be difficult to plan a wedding out of state but Catherine made it so easy and stress free. The decor was beautiful, our DJ was awesome and our photographer was amazing!! Our guests could not stop talking about the delicious food! Catherine and her team were simply wonderful and always made sure my husband and I were happy. Our day was everything we ever wanted and more!! We couldn't have picked a better wedding planner.

We got married on Memorial Day weekend and everything was perfect. Everything went so smoothly. The week before the wedding I had found out my fathers health wasn't good enough for him to travel to Florida (we are from Il.) Lisa and Kathy worked with me to get everything back in place and move things around. They literally walked us thru the day and we didn't have to do a thing. From the decorations, food, cake, DJ and the amazing photographer from 3five photography, it was all perfect. I would 100% recommend this company! I look back at the pictures today and still cry. It was so beautiful and something we will never forget! So glad I got to have my dream wedding. These ladies made it possible!

I don't even know where to begin! Lisa and Cathy are truly amazing women and extremely talented at throwing an amazing wedding! From my first phone call with Cathy I knew I had made the right choice. She is so sweet and truly cares about each and every wedding. She was available to answer my questions any time I called, and always had great ideas and suggestions. She knows the best vendors and I was blown away by how perfect every single one of them were. I loved my venue! Our wedding was on Anna Maria Island at the Tiki Hut and it was beautiful. The ceremony and reception cite were decorated beautifully and it was more than I could have ever dreamed of. The photographer was hilarious and had such a great personality. He took so many amazing photos and I can't wait to get them all back. The cake, food and drinks were delicious and surpassed all my wildest dreams and expectations. Living in Kentucky I wasn't able to be there to make every decision, but I knew Cathy had my best interests at heart and she gave me the wedding of my dreams. I am so happy I chose to have my wedding on the beach in FL, and I know it wouldn't have been the same without Sand Petal Weddings. I would very highly recommend them and I am already counting down the years till I can go back and have our vow renewal through them! ;)

These ladies truly are the best at what they do! We had our wedding August 15th, 2015 at Sunset Beach Resort on Siesta Key at sunset. Unfortunately that was when it decided to rain. Cathy was wonderful at timing our ceremony in between rain showers. We even had the most BEAUTIFUL rainbow at the end of our ceremony. And the reception at the Daiquiri Deck was so much fun we didn't want it to end. We had more than one guest come up to us and say this was one of the best weddings they have ever been to, and that Bobby and I should get married every year! My husband and I had a long engagement and I worked with Cathy and Lisa for about a year and a half leading up to the wedding so I would highly recommend Sand-Petal Weddings if you are looking to get married in the Sarasota area. No one will treat you better.

So glad I made the decision to work with these wonderful ladies! Living in Ohio it was difficult trying to plan our wedding in Florida, however sand petal weddings totally took away that stress! They were there every step of the way and our guests were so impressed with everything they did for us. I would definitely recommend them to anyone wanting to plan a wedding in Florida! Also the photographer they booked for us, Steve with 3five photography was amazing!

Where do I start?Communication was a huge deal for us.Kathi and Lisa were there for us from day one with any questions we may have had either by email,phone or in person.The only complaint we have is not owning a time machine to go back in time to experience our wedding day all over again.It was so perfect.From the smallest details to the more intricate things,everything was perfect.I have been known to leave a wedding and bring back fast food to the table for myself because of horrible wedding food.I will normally eat a good meal before a wedding because of this.Our food was so good.Every thing from the appetizers to the cake was amazing.The food smelled so good I was distracted and couldn't wait until we were over with the photo shoot so that we could eat.Which brings us to our wedding photographer.He was very professional and down to earth.He sent us a few teaser photos via email and our jaws literally dropped.We cannot wait to get the rest of the photos from him.We had friends and family from both Pennsylvania and Florida.Most from Florida.To hear our guest from Florida who have seen their share of beach weddings say that our wedding was the best beach wedding they have ever been to made us very happy and was confirmation that we had made the right choice when we decided to go with Sand Petal Weddings to help us with our wedding.Our guest were kept on their toes and there was never a dull moment at the reception.The entertainment was amazing.Every time we though it was about to end the entertainers came out with something else.We are still receiving texts,calls and emails about how much fun everyone had.There are even talks about having a yearly thing back at the venue with everyone who was there for the wedding.This kind of buzz does not happen if everyone didn't have a good time.The theme was perfect.From the colors to how everything was decorated.Lisa did an amazing job taking care of all of that.It will be very hard to top that day.A day that we had worked so hard for and for so long was made a reality with the help of Sand Petal Weddings.We both agreed that if anyone would ask,that we would absolutely,without a shadow of a doubt recommend Sand Petal Weddings as their go-to wedding planners.We honestly cannot find one thing to complain about even if we tried.The wedding went so smooth with the help of Kathi and Lisa.We did not feel like just another customer with them.We felt the urge on their part to make our wedding the most memorable day of our lives and they definitely followed through with that.We couldn't be any happier.We truly felt like a king and queen that day as should any bride and groom should feel on their special day.We appreciate every single thing that this company has done for us.Our guest could not stop talking about how beautiful everything was,how great the food was,how much fun they had watching the entertainers do their thing.The participation from the bride and groom during the entertainment segment had everyone laughing and smiling from ear to ear.All the vendors were great and very professional.I really can't say enough about Sand Petal Weddings and I would recommend them to anybody looking to make their dream wedding a reality.A huge, HUGE THANK YOU to Lisa and Kathi from Sand Petal Weddings for making our dream beach wedding come true and having it done so perfectly.It'll be something we will remember and talk about with our friends and family for a very long time.

I used Sand Petal Weddings for my wedding in October of 2015. I planned the entire wedding from another state, which can be nerve wracking for some, but Kathy and Lisa were always there to answer my every question. They were so helpful throughout the entire wedding planning process, and were very open to all of my ideas. They took my vision and made it a reality. My wedding was everything I dreamed of! Everything went smoothly, and everything was beautiful. I loved it all so much that I wish I could do it all over again!! The vendors were all great as well, especially our photographer Steve - everyone loved him! And the 3 teaser photos I received so far are amazing...I cannot wait to see the rest!\rI would very highly recommend Sand Petal Weddings!
