Along the water in Old Saybrook, CT is the Saybrook Point Resort & Marina, a haven and wedding venue rolled into one. The enchantment and storybook romance of New England demonstrate itself at its finest in this hotel. Fantastic food, gorgeous views, and elegant spaces are sure to delight loved ones attending your nuptials. Not to mention the marina, landscaped grounds, and decor provide an excellent backdrop for wedding day photos. For decades this location has been providing couples with a memorable and sophisticated wedding venue for hosting their celebrations. The Tagliatela family owns the Saybrook Point Resort & Marina, having purchased the former and famed Terra Mar in 1980 and transforming it into its current glory. The Lighthouse Gallery, their onsite ballroom, was further renovated in 2019 to ensure that it meets contemporary standards of luxury. This dreamy hall can host up to 210 guests. Other ceremony and reception locations throughout the Resort include the Beacon and Compass Rose terraces with marina and lighthouse views, and our Brand New Pergola Space that has 180 Degree views of the Marina/Water and has the ability to become an indoor/outdoor space. Guests and wedding party alike can avail to the delicious food at Fresh Salt, the Resort's restaurant, or relax at the spa after the celebrations. The rooms throughout the Saybrook Point Resort & Marina are both traditionally elegant and nautical. The floors are a deep, rich colored hardwood in a parquet inlay layout for an element of distinction. Creamy white walls and furnishings with subtle doses of dark browns create elegant focal points of visual interest throughout the understated interiors. Together, the architectural achievement of this Resort is both upscale and refined. Immensely important to luxury is the care and attention staff provides to their guests, which is central to the wedding packages offered. The absolute best place to have a seaside wedding. The food from Fresh Salt is a huge selling point and nearly every guest mentioned it was the best food at a wedding they've ever had. The wedding ceremony space is perfect if you've wanted to get married by the sea. The mini mansion your bridal party can rent out is also a MUST, each couple can have their own room and it feels like living in a Gatsby mansion.

My husband and I got married at Saybrook Point in June 2023. We had an amazing experience, and so did our guests! Danielle, Renita, and the whole banquet staff were an absolute dream to work with! Danielle is so professional, and knows exactly what she is doing. She really helped us seamlessly plan our perfect wedding day from the day we booked our date to our actual wedding day. There is seriously no stress here! Danielle has all the resources you need to make your wedding day your dream come true!The banquet staff were exceptional. Everyone was so professional, friendly, and helped make our day joyful and fun! They kept our wedding running so smoothly, and truly thought of everything. We truly had the wedding of our dreams at Saybrook Point, and would recommend it 100% to anyone! Everyone there is so kind and caring, and great to work with! The venue is absolutely stunning, with beautiful options for indoor and outdoor ceremonies. The food is delicious as well, you and your guests will not leave hungry!

Saybrook Point was the more amazing wedding venue my husband and I could have ever dreamed of. The staff was so attentive, polite, and went completely above and beyond tending to our every need. The food was out of this world and the Chef made sure every special ask was accommodated. The wedding coordinators put so much time and effort into making sure our day was perfect! We didn’t feel like just another wedding as the experience was so personalized to us. We cannot recommend this venue enough! We will be returning every year for our anniversary!

My husband and I had the pleasure of hosting our wedding at the Saybrook Point Resort & Marina this past September and it was a truly magical experience. The venue is situated on a beautiful marina and our guests from both in and out of state were clamoring to stay there once we showed them the photos! We were also fortunate enough to spend our wedding night in the lighthouse suite that looked over the entire property… an experience unlike any other. We made it a weekend event and our guests enjoyed the pools, spa and eats that all contributed to making the wedding such a memorable experience. The amenities, service and hospitality are simply top notch.Our wedding coordinator, Danielle Bailey, and her team were outstanding throughout the entire process. The team consistently delivered and went above and beyond to address any of my concerns and questions as well as offer other ideas to ensure our wedding went exactly how we envisioned it to be. Our day of wedding attendant, Jenn, was superb and always made sure myself, my husband and our guests were enjoying ourselves and that things ran according to plan. I told them when it was over I was going to miss planning with them! But we will certainly be back to celebrate our future milestones. As an A-type personality/perfectionist, I can rarely give such a glowing review, but I can confidently attest to the fact that your wedding at Saybrook Point will be the one of your dreams just as it was mine!

We received so many compliments about our wedding at Saybrook Point- beautiful views, great food, good service. The wedding coordinators were very responsive and on top of things in the last couple of weeks leading up to our event- we had a couple of last minute changes and they were helpful in accommodating. I think the only detail that was a little off was the timing of the ceremony/ moving down the aisle- it felt a little unorganized and I ended up standing in plain sight for minutes and my song didn’t play ahead of me coming down the aisle- so I’d make sure to go over the details for that portion of the event. Overall staff was very helpful and we had a wonderful time!

From our guest - the wedding was beautiful. Unfortunately the staff at this establishment could care less about the bride and groom. My husband and I got married a few weeks ago and the stress this place caused us not only leading up to our day but the day off was disappointing. The coordinator fed us lies the entire time leading up.. the suite they showed us was not where we slept.. we slept in a basic room directly above the ball room where there was a wedding the next night. The coordinator told us 3 days prior she would reach out to a contact on the gold course down the road to ensure we would have no issues taking photos.. that was a lie. We got booted off immediately and had to take photos on the dock where we said repeatedly did not want our wedding photos. After our group photos were over with.. all we wanted was food from cocktail hour which our coordinator failed to give us and told us it was all put away.. she presented a donut where we still do not know where is came from.. I am assuming their break room. Note- there is “fresh salt”a restaurant attached to this Inn.. the staff there was rude. When we came to collect our wedding decor the staff opening took favors in front of us without asking and proceeded to hand them out to another employee and laughed. On top of everything our other vendors told us they too had an awful experience with this venue. Our DJ said this was the worst venue he had ever had to deal with… my florist called me the Friday before to warn me and let me know there was a funeral reception booked in the ballroom and they are only allowing them to set up ONE HOUR BEFORE COCKTAIL hour… the coordinator had told me her younger sister worked for the florist we hired. So when I said this to the coordinator she lied to my face and said that was not true but in fact.. that was true and the reason for having everyone rush. My husband and I paid for the most expensive package this had offered.. and we had our room blocks a complete capacity.. we were laid back the entire process and had put our trust into this place to make sure it was handled. Sadly on our special day, they made us feel not important at all…to our DJ, Florist, Photographer, videographer and Ice cream vendor, we cannot say thank you enough and couldn’t recommend those individuals enough. I will not recommend anyone using this facility to have their reception here.

Our maid of honor even joked that they did such an exceptional job that they essentially \"fired\" her from her responsibilities for the day, leaving her with plenty of time to enjoy the festivities alongside the rest of the wedding party. The team provided assistance with ceremony coordination, transportation, and other essential elements of the event, guaranteeing that everything went according to plan. The staff paid great attention to detail, creating a lively and vibrant atmosphere throughout the day. Where do we even begin? We got married 12/3/22 at Saybrook Point and we are still on cloud 9. Our guests continue raving about the accommodations, food and hospitality at Saybrook and like my husband and I were completely stunned by the charm, warmth and atmosphere. Danielle and Renita were an absolute dream to work with. They didn't miss a beat and put us at ease through the entire wedding planning process from start to finish. Saybrook made our dream winter wedding a reality and if we had to do it all over again we would not change a thing. We're so happy to have shared our special day with all of our friends in family under one roof at Saybrook and will continue coming back for years to come to relive and make even more memories.

Everything went perfectly on the day of our wedding, which would not have been possible without them. The ballroom, ceremony space, and the hotel itself are beautiful; everyone raved about the food; and it was so convenient that our guests were able stay at the same location as the ceremony and reception. If we could do it all again, we wouldn't change a thing.

Two weeks before our originally planned wedding, Hurricane Ian struck our wedding destination leaving us scrambling to replan a wedding in less than two weeks. Enter Renita and Kim! Their professionalism, compassion and keen eye helped us every step of the way in our planning process. They went above and beyond, making themselves available after hours and on days off to ensure we were able to pull this off. The venue was absolutely stunning, the food was amazing and the rooms were beautiful - you would have never guessed this was thrown together on the fly! I cannot say enough about the venue and above all, the team. I highly recommend Saybrook Point -you'll be in great hands!!

We are SO happy we chose Saybrook Point Inn for our wedding venue. As soon as we saw the space, we knew we found the one. Our wedding coordinators Danielle and JoAnne were phenomenal. They answered all our questions, no matter how silly they were, and eased any worries we had about the big day. Every time we visited for a meeting or tasting, we were given top notch service. All of our guests were so impressed with the staff, the food, and the ballroom. We had many guests tell us it was the best wedding they’ve ever been to, and we know it’s because of SPI. I will be recommending this place to everyone I know, thank you!!!!

All of our guests were so impressed with the staff, the food, and the ballroom. We had many guests tell us it was the best wedding they’ve ever been to, and we know it’s because of SPI. My husband and I got married here on 5/20/22 and our experience was spectacular. Our day was incredible and everything went off without a hitch! Danielle Bailey was an absolute DREAM to work with!! We also worked with Joanne who was just as wonderful! They were so attentive to our needs the day of and all days leading up to the big day. We had a minor issue with our Pastor who got covid the day before our wedding and without hesitation Danielle jumped in and married us! I was super stressed and within minutes Danielle wiped away all that stress!! Honestly you couldn't ask for someone better to be by your side for wedding planning! We were also assigned a bridal attendant during our wedding Jenn and she was a DREAM as well!! She was always there helping us get some food or drinks or whatever we needed! Our guests are still talking about how amazing the food was and they LOVED the mashed potato bar & Gelato Bar! The venue is absolutely beautiful right on the water! We even had some rain and our guests are still raving it was one of the best weddings they have been to in a long time! I HIGHLY recommend getting married here if you love the water like we do! The staff is amazing and you won't have to worry about anything!

We got married at Saybrook Point Resort and Marina in April 2022. We worked with Event Planner, Danielle Bailey. Getting married at SP and working with Danielle over our year engagement was outstanding. Danielle was organized, prompt in communication, and thorough with all wedding details. Our wedding day went above and beyond what we hoped for and Danielle and the team at SP made it all possible. Our favorite parts included the endless raw bar during and hors d'oeuvre's during coctail hour. Our signature drinks and champagne was waiting for guests leaving the outdoor ceremony on the water. There was not a single complaint about the delicious, well-portioned meals - salad, pasta, dinner. The venue itself lent for the most outstanding photos ranging from the patio to the docks. The reception room arranged the tables exactly what we had envisioned and the choice we had in planing everything was comforting. We ended the night with a surprise bottle of champagne in our Bridal Suite which truly showed how much the team at SP and Danielle cared about us on this journey. I wish I could relive this memory every week - Saybrook Point made our wedding magical. I would highly recommend checking out this venue - you will not be disappointed!

We chose to have our wedding ceremony and reception at the Saybrook Point Inn this year with the theme being a “White Winter Wedding”. From the moment, we selected the venue everything just seemed “right”. The staff were so attentive to us and really took the time to help us create and facilitate our wedding vision. The rooms were spacious, elegant and comfortable. My husband loved the bar, pool table and poker area he got to spend time in prior to the wedding. From the real-wood fireplaces in the lobby, to the elegant white lights and wreaths, and the garland highlighting the facility, it was truly a lovely and gorgeous venue to have our special day. We cannot thank the wedding event and the kitchen staff enough! They did an amazing job as well! We truly loved everything about the Saybrook Point Inn…you made our wedding dreams come true!

We've been working with Krystal, the onsite wedding coordinator, for a couple years since COVID made us push our wedding back twice and she was very helpful and responsive to all of our many emails and concerns. Saybrook Point was very accommodating when it came to moving our wedding, making the process effortless. When the day finally came, it was everything we had imagined it would be and more. We handmade most of our decorations and favors and were worried it would be confusing and overwhelming for the venue to set up, but everything was executed flawlessly. Although Krystal wasn't able to be there on our big day, Danielle and Libby made everything move smoothly. The other staff (waitstaff, bartenders, etc.) were absolutely wonderful and the food was amazing. Everyone did their part in making us feel so special and blessed on our wedding day. Saybrook Point will forever have a special place in our hearts and we look forward to returning in the future years to come!

The Saybrook Point Inn and Spa was PHENOMENAL! Clear breakdown of costs from the beginning, fast replies with the coordinators, Krystal and Danielle, and the location was just breathtaking. Cocktail hour was plentiful and drinks were VERY generous. Table service was something everyone raved about. Glasses never went empty and I swear every piece of silverware was shined before setting out on the table. The facility was extremely clean and organized, and the food was on point. I HIGHLY recommend booking with them, you will not be disappointed.

When we made the decision to postpone, Krystal and the team were very quick to help us reschedule and made the process as easy as possible. During the months and weeks leading up to the wedding, Krystal was extremely responsive and helped to answer all our questions. Truly the entire team at Saybrook Point Inn & Spa were a dream to work with. They made the day of the wedding so stress free and fun! The room looked stunning, they helped to keep us on schedule and the food was delicious. Our guests are still raving about how fantastic the food and how great the service was. Our entire wedding experience with Saybrook Point Inn was exceptional. We knew that SPI was our venue from the moment we arrived to tour - it is classic, elegant, coastal New England at its finest. Krystal is a true expert, and was very responsive, transparent, and accommodating with my many questions related to rescheduling our date from 08/2020 to 08/2021. She made the entire process as smooth as could be despite the COVID-19 uncertainties, and we appreciate the venue's flexibility in this regard. Our church ceremony was offsite, but our day was seamless. As our rescheduled date followed Krystal's own wedding, we worked with Danielle the day-of. She was wonderful and communicated with my wedding planner and myself constantly during the day. I would highly recommend booking both the Lighthouse Suite and the Saybrook Room. The guys absolutely loved having the room for the morning getting ready, and I'm so glad I booked the Lighthouse for both Friday and Saturday nights. It was such a unique experience, a dream for bridal party prep, and the pictures are incredible. We also loved the addition of the new pergola and bar space, as did our guests. The Inn and the grounds are meticulously kept, the Lighthouse Gallery is so dreamy and romantic, and the venue does a great job of separating the wedding from the hotel guests. The food is delicious - it was challenging to pick the menu because all of the options were delicious. We also highly recommend the after party at Fresh Salt and the post-wedding breakfast. The staff and the servers were amazing, and treated us and our parents like royalty. So many of our guests told us it was the best wedding they’ve ever attended. SPI is luxurious and unparalleled - you need to have your wedding here. We had the absolute best day of our lives, and we cannot thank Saybrook Point Inn enough!Jillian & Ben, 08/14/21

We planned on getting married here since 2018 but due to covid and the crazy restrictions we changed our wedding venue to completely outdoors in a tent but I wanted to a write a review because Saybrook Point Inn never over charged us, gave us our full deposit back and Krystal was so patient with us changing our dates 3x. Seriously Krystal is a rock star. Saybrook Point Inn is so beautiful and is definitely a great wedding venue and we would have been married there despite the pandemic. We did come in contact with someone named Sarah? She was very unpleasant but that was my only encounter with her. If you work with Krystal, you’ll have the most beautiful day planned and she will make everything go along smoothly.

From the moment we first walked in, we knew Saybrook Point Inn & Spa was the perfect place to have our wedding. It was exactly what we were looking for (New England charm, on the water, a hotel and about 2-3 hours from home). Krystal and her staff were amazing from start to finish. Easy to get in touch with, quick to respond, and provided first class service the entire weekend of the wedding. We were treated like royalty, had an amazing suite overlooking the water, every staff member knew our name and congratulated us every time they saw us. The spa was an incredible experience before the big day (had the BEST hot stone massage). Two months after our wedding our friends and family are still talking about how much fun the wedding was, how much they loved the hotel, the rooms, the staff, how amazing the food was and how they can't wait to go back. We are definitely going back for our 1 year anniversary (probably with a lot of family and friends). Highly recommend, was the PERFECT wedding with the BEST staff :) Cynthia and Thomas

One can only hope that all the pieces fall together the day of the wedding from food to ambiance and then to service levels as well. Every piece of the day was perfect at the Inn!!! Krystal was our wedding coordinator and she was so helpful. Chef Billy did an outstanding job on the food; accommodated all requests, adding personal touches and more. Our guests raved about the entire day from Cocktail Hour to the dinner and dancing. The staff was so attentive and efficient. And as a bonus, the Inn lends itself to such great photography inside and out. We had an unforgettable wedding day!

I still can’t believe how wonderful my wedding reception was at the Saybrook Point Inn. The staff were incredible (from day one to the day of) and the beautiful setting (right on the water with the lighthouse all lit up) was just so romantic. Saybrook Point Inn elevated my wedding day to a whole new level. The newly renovated lighthouse gallery was stunning and everyone keeps telling us what an amazing time they had months after. Krystal and her team set up all of my decor/tables beautifully and went the extra mile to make sure everything was as I had pictured/explained in our meetings. Our day was sunny but pretty cold so the attendant with us during pictures on the dock ran to get me a coat without even asking. The staff also made sure we ate everything, had drinks all night, and what we wanted from our gelato bar. The food was out of this world and the extras we ordered were so worth it. I definitely recommend the gelato bar and after dinner snacks. We can’t thank the team at Saybrook enough for the most memorable and special wedding day. We can’t wait to celebrate our anniversary at Saybrook in the years to come.

Krystal is an absolute superstar and the whole staff is absolutely wonderful! I can’t imagine having gotten married anywhere else! From the start of the day to the very end the Saybrook Point Inn and its staff really made the day perfect! There are so many little things they do to make the day special that it would be impossible to list them all in a review, but I do want to highlight a few things. First, it should be noted that I, the Groom, am writing this review, and I need to shout-out the Saybrook Room. Not a lot of venues have a special place for the groom to prepare and hangout with his groomsmen the day of the wedding before the ceremony. It was great to have a place to shoot some billiards, play some cards, drink and eat before the wedding while the bride/bridesmaids all prepared upstairs. The outdoor ceremony location is beautiful (The whole place is beautiful tbh), and was everything we were looking for; overlooking the Marina and the perfect size for our wedding (~160 (though we saw it set up for more the day before and it still looked great)). The Reception hall was gorgeous! Plenty of room for a dance floor without any of the table feeling crowded. The Food was out of this world! From the Beef to the Scallops to the Vegan option, we got so many compliments on the food from our guests! The whole place drips of the casual elegance that has me so in love with the Northern Connecticut coast! The Inn coordinated seamlessly with our other vendors and provided us with a night we’ll never forget! But beyond everything else, the Staff! Every single person we dealt with was polite and excited and willing to bend over backwards to make our day the best it could be. It was an amazing experience and I am so thankful to Krystal, her team, and everyone at the Saybrook Point Inn for making our dream wedding into a reality!

From the start of the day to the very end the Saybrook Point Inn and its staff really made the day perfect! Our wedding at Saybrook Point Inn was absolutely perfect! Krystal was fantastic with helping plan our special day over the past year, and she was always available via phone or email for everything and anything. The food was amazing and the venue was beautiful, our guests couldn't stop telling us how impressed they were with everything. I really appreciated the attentive detail every step of the way, and on the night of the wedding, the staff was wonderful- we had taken pictures out on the docks and upon coming back inside, we noticed the bottom of my dress had black marks. This was before the first dance and introductions so of course I started to get nervous, but Jenn & Patricio were two staff members I especially would like to thank because they came to the rescue and helped my sister safety-pin & disguise the marks so it would be hidden in pictures. The attention & special care they took to help me was so appreciated, they truly went above and beyond to make sure everything went smoothly all night long. I highly recommend Saybrook Point Inn, they exceeded our expectations for our special day and I wouldn't change a thing!

I am so glad we chose to have our wedding at Saybrook Point Inn and Spa. Everyone there was so easy to work with especially when it came to our many guests who have dietary restrictions. They also had so many resources available to help plan out and organize the wedding. I really appreciated this as a bride who did most of the wedding planning herself. The day of the day of the wedding was when they really shined. My husband and I got to sit back and really enjoy our wedding because they were so organized and so on top of everything. We felt our wedding was safe in the hands of Krystal, Joe and the entire wedding staff. The venue itself is gorgeous. It has an aesthetic that is more authentically nautical than many of the other seaside venues we looked at. We had our wedding outside over the marina and it just felt magical. They also recently updated the reception hall and it is even more beautiful than before. It really highlights the view of the marina through the large glass windows. The food. Oh, the food. It was delicious and thanks to Joe we had a second to actually eat something. We had the scallops and beef tenderloin. Both were fantastic. I would say they were even better than at the tasting. We heard a lot from our guests afterwards about how delicious the food was. Another great aspect about booking with Saybrook Point was that we were able to use the money from people not being able to come on better food and drink for guests who could attend. I have heard horror stories about brides looking for people to come to their wedding last minute because they didn't reach their minimum. We were able to upgrade the bar and cocktail hour and have pre-ceremony beverages instead. Overall, I gave Saybrook Point 5 stars. They were instrumental in making our wedding day unforgettable. Thank you to everyone there! We will cherish the day forever.

Krystal was there every step of the way with the planning and was able to answer all our questions and coordinate with our outside vendors (including our Ben and Jerry's ice cream bar and band setup). She also made frequent check-ins with us on our wedding day and made sure everything went smoothly! Wedding Joe was also amazing on our wedding day and made sure we were on schedule for all our wedding events and even made sure we were able to eat our dinner:) He even knows how to bustle a dress (with a super long train none the less)! ! The whole staff was so attentive all weekend and was super friendly and helpful to us and all our guests. The food was also AMAZING and we got SO many compliments on the dinner and cocktail hour (even the pre-wedding snacks and post-wedding breakfast were delicious!!) . I can't recommend this venue enough!!!

Having our reception at Saybrook Point Inn was one of the best decisions we made in the planning process! Krystal made the entire planning process from start to finish so easy, she is extremely organized, responded almost immediately to every email and phone call and countless question we had along the way. She never tried to persuade us with decisions but was extremely helpful when we needed advice or suggestions. We couldn’t have been happier with the Inn and staff the weekend of our wedding! From the moment we arrived to drop off the wedding decor a few days before until they were handing us the top of our cake the next morning, the staff was phenomenal. They treated us and our guests like absolute royalty. Every staff member we encountered was welcoming, friendly, polite and professional. The grounds were immaculate and made the weekend so fun! The bridal party loved spending the weekend there, enjoying the pool, Saybrook Room, restaurant and bar and walking around the marina. Our guests raved about how good the food was and mentioned that they felt like the appetizers kept coming and coming during cocktail hour! Matt and I especially loved that our personal servers were at our side with our own whole tray of hot appetizers from the moment we came in from taking pictures. They were attentive throughout the entire reception, we never had to wait for a drink or anything we needed. They also made sure the end of the night was a breeze! Matt and I nor the bridal party had to lift a finger to get everything packed back up. They even went as far as decorating our bed as a surprise when we got back to the bridal suite! We had our wedding at Saybrook Point two weeks ago and our wedding was beyond our wildest dreams! The staff at Saybrook Point went above and beyond to ensure every single thing was absolutely perfect for our big day. I've been to a lot of weddings, and one of my sisters is in the event planning business- so I am very aware of what a venue generally does and doesn't do. The staff at Saybrook did more than we could have ever imagined- for instance, we dropped off all of our decor four days before the event, and when we showed up on our wedding day everything was setup perfectly. I cannot tell you as a bride what a relief that is- all of my other friends who have gotten married spent hours setting up the night before or day of. I didn't have to do a thing! Everyone knew exactly who we were when we arrived- we seriously felt like royalty! Another part we loved- it felt like SBP gave us a wedding army to help all weekend! We had a coordinator, a security coordinator, and day of coordinator and so on- we did not worry about a single thing all weekend because it was all taken care of by their amazing and kind staff. We had Joe as the day of coordinator, and he helped guide us the whole evening so that we maximized all of our time, and he took care of absolutely EVERYTHING for us! He even saved a napkin for us that he saw my groom wiping a little makeup smudge off of my face with - I mean, how cute is that?! Getting ready at the hotel was a breeze, and it was SO nice at the end of the night to take a short elevator ride to the room. The staff helped us pack everything up, and even left us an adorable gift in our room to return to on the wedding night. I could go on and on, but I will leave with this- we have determined that choosing SBP was the best decision we made for our wedding. We've had so many people tell us that our wedding was the best wedding they have ever been to because the venue, views, food, accommodations, and staff. You cannot go wrong choosing this place- if you're debating it- just book!

No amount of words will do justice for the tremendous experience the staff at Saybrook Point Inn provided us for our wedding. From the beginning, Shelby was there to provide us with an overview of the venue, pointing out all the intricacies and options available. Boats, the water, docks, beautiful decor inside and out... we could not ask for a better scenic backdrop for our wedding. Shelby showed us where the ceremony would be, cocktail hour, reception, but went beyond that to show us the spa where hair and makeup could be done, the Saybrook Room for the Groomsmen to get ready in (what a unique and special room that is!), and our suite for the night. She answered all our questions with courtesy and professionalism, no matter how numerous or specific the questions were. As our wedding coordinator, Krystal made us feel at ease throughout the entire planning process and actual event. Her attention to detail ensured us that no aspect of the wedding would be overlooked. We were in great hands and this was evidenced by the types of questions she asked us and the comfortable conversations we had. When the day finally arrived, she was there at every turn to make sure the event occurred as planned and on time. That day, weather was tricky to determine if the wedding ceremony should stay outdoors or be moved inside, but Krystal assured us that only an hour was needed to make the switch and they would wait to the very last minute to decide to do that if needed. She knew how important it was to us that we were outside. Fortunately, the weather cooperated!As a whole, the staff at Saybrook Point Inn truly make you feel like everyone works together to create a personalized wedding that caters to your every need. Coordinated by Krystal, the communication between all the staff members is remarkable. They know where the bride and groom are at all times and are there for you and your needs, period. Our dinner menu featured absolutely delicious meals that included sea scallops, fillet of beef, and stuffed chicken breast. Our guests were all served their salads and then meals in what seemed to be simultaneous. The hard work of the kitchen staff was definitely evident in the high quality of the food and service. In addition to the tremendous amount of work by Krystal, Shelby, and so many others that we did not get a chance to meet personally, Gary and Brian also worked to ensure our night was special. Gary ensured that as the night went on, we were able to have fun with our guests while still participating in the events (cake cutting, father/daughter mother/son dances, etc...) with smooth transitions that allowed us to maximize our time with our guests on the dance floor without rushing through the night. At no point in the night did we have to get anything ourselves. Brian was there to make sure that we were treated as the VIP's of the night and he succeeded in making us feel just that. Our guests keep commenting to us about the delicious food, the views, and the staff of Saybrook Point Inn. We cannot thank them enough for creating the most amazing wedding where everything was truly perfect.

No amount of words will do justice for the tremendous experience the staff at Saybrook Point Inn provided us for our wedding. From the beginning, Shelby was there to provide us with an overview of the venue, pointing out all the intricacies and options available. Boats, the water, docks, beautiful decor inside and out... we could not ask for a better scenic backdrop for our wedding. Shelby showed us where the ceremony would be, cocktail hour, reception, but went beyond that to show us the spa where hair and makeup could be done, the Saybrook Room for the Groomsmen to get ready in (what a unique and special room that is!), and our suite for the night. She answered all our questions with courtesy and professionalism, no matter how numerous or specific the questions were. As our wedding coordinator, Krystal made us feel at ease throughout the entire planning process and actual event. Her attention to detail ensured us that no aspect of the wedding would be overlooked. We were in great hands and this was evidenced by the types of questions she asked us and the comfortable conversations we had. When the day finally arrived, she was there at every turn to make sure the event occurred as planned and on time. That day, weather was tricky to determine if the wedding ceremony should stay outdoors or be moved inside, but Krystal assured us that only an hour was needed to make the switch and they would wait to the very last minute to decide to do that if needed. She knew how important it was to us that we were outside. Fortunately, the weather cooperated!As a whole, the staff at Saybrook Point Inn truly make you feel like everyone works together to create a personalized wedding that caters to your every need. Coordinated by Krystal, the communication between all the staff members is remarkable. They know where the bride and groom are at all times and are there for you and your needs, period. Wow. When we were searching for wedding venues, we prioritized good service to be one of our most important criteria. We wanted our guests to be well taken care of and didn't want to leave that up to chance. When we say that Saybrook Point Inn delivered, that is an understatement. There are simply too many exceptional people and examples of going above and beyond to name in a review - they have achieved the rarity of developing a staff-wide culture of doing everything and anything to have everyone have the best, safest, and most pleasant experience possible. ALL of our guests were commenting on it, from small details like remembering individual guests' names to acts of kindness like rushing a late bridesmaid to the ceremony site on a golf cart and bringing dinners up to hotel rooms for adult babysitters, to seamless management of a full day of wedding ceremony coordination, photos, and reception traditions. At the end of the evening, I found all the gifts, centerpieces, and flowers cleanly organized and boxed up in our room, and the cake in our fridge. Simple amazing.The venue of course was beautiful and very comfortable, and we really enjoyed upgrading to a \"bridal\" suite and the boys' Saybrook Room. The adjacent bar and restaurant were perfect for post-reception drinks and a beautiful relaxed breakfast in the morning. High praise also for the food. The best example of critical feedback probably comes from one of our guests who ran a higher-end restaurant for 15 years, stating that it was the best Filet Mignon he had ever had at a wedding reception.

From the moment we met with Krystal and the rest of the staff at Saybrook Point Inn and Spa we knew we had found our wedding venue! They were so easy to work with from day 1. My husband and I both work as surgery residents and have limited days/hours off but Krystal accommodated our scheduled every step of the way. She would meet with us on Saturdays or early mornings/late evenings- we appreciated this so much. We loved that the venue had a house that we could rent for our family to stay in for the days leading up to and the entire wedding weekend. It made the whole weekend so special. On the actual days Krystal came over to the house several times to just check in to make sure we didn't need anything. Donna and Joe coordinated the whole reception and made our night so easy to manage! They told us where to be, who to talk to, when we needed to each step of the night- it was so great to have them around to keep the night moving smoothly! We had the best night of our lives because of the people that make Saybrook Point Inn so very special. If you are interested in a place that has weddings down to a science- this is it! We were lucky enough to have good weather but they have back options that they put together in minutes if they have to. The day before there was questionable weather and they set up a wedding inside but when the weather held up they re-did everything within an hour to get the bride and groom their special day outside! It was so great to see them work so hard just to get their day to be what they dreamed it would be. We loved the lighthouse suite on our wedding night- an added bonus to the beauty of the inn and so special for the first night as Mr. and Mrs.!!

Saybrook Point Inn went above our expectations to make our wedding day perfect. The staff was warm, attentive, and professional. Ellen, Joe, and the rest of the staff made the entire weekend run smoothly and we felt as though all of the attention was on us. My husband and I had our wedding ceremony and reception at the Saybrook Point Inn over Labor Day weekend 2016. We were so pleased with how the preparation and execution of our wedding day went. The staff at the Saybrook Point Inn are unlike any place I have ever been. Everyone from the director of sales to the staff at the front desk and in between were amazing. They were always available for any questions or assistance during the wedding and before. Sara, the director of sales, is extremely organized and knows exactly what she is doing. I felt that we were in great hands working with her. Sara and her team made our day so special and worry free with all the work they did upfront. We gave them all of our wedding decorations and they set everything up. The room looked beautiful. Sara also contacted all of our vendors and made arrangements with them. The food at the wedding was amazing and I had multiple compliments from guests about their meals. Definitely add the raw bar! We went to the bar at Fresh Salt after our reception. The bartenders were great and always accomodating. Joe was also amazing on our wedding day. He was with us the entire day. He always made sure we had a drink if we need one and made sure we ate. He also gave us great suggestions on how to greet all of our guests and still have a great time at our reception, which was very important to us. I greatly appreciate everything he did for us on our wedding day. Jack and his team at the front desk were exceptional and so helpful. They were always there when we needed to bring bags in and out.The accomodations at the Point are also exceptional. The rooms are very large and very clean. The lighthouse suite is a must! We would highly recommend any couple thinking of getting married to consider the Saybrook Point Inn. You will not be disappointed.

Saybrook Point Inn was the most perfect setting for our wedding this past June! Once we stepped foot onto the property, we knew this was the place for us. You are surrounded by beautiful water views and the inn itself has classic New England charm. We spent several afternoons enjoying a cocktail at one of many tables overlooking their marina during the planning process. We chose to have our rehearsal dinner at their restaurant, Fresh Salt, and a farewell brunch the morning after the wedding. We were able to have our \"wedding weekend\" all on site and in one place, which felt like a mini vacation for us and our guests who chose to stay with us at the Inn. We never once had to leave the Inn which was convenient for us and our families/friends. All of the staff were always so king and welcoming. We initially met with Sara and then went on to work with a few different coordinators through our engagement. Everyone we worked with were all so professional, accommodating, responsive, and helpful. Response times were always so quick which made the planning process so much smoother. Sara absolutely knows her stuff and helped us so much through all of our decision making to help us create our perfect wedding. The weather the day of the wedding was questionable. An afternoon of rain caused us to consider moving the ceremony inside. Everyone was willing to wait until the last possible minute, hours before the start time, to make the call. Luckily they did because sure enough the sun came out and we were able to have our wedding outside at their beautiful Compass Rose ceremony site. Our guests raved about how beautiful the ceremony & cocktail hour were, the delicious food, and ambiance through the entire day. The staff goes above and beyond to make sure the Bride and Groom are well taken care of the entire night so you can just enjoy every second of the day. We have already planned a trip back for our anniversary and we are so excited to return to this beautiful place!

Don't get me wrong-I absolutely love the venue and it was the perfect match for my husband and I. I was just a bit disappointed on the details component of my wedding. There was multiple personnel changes which was difficult to deal with throughout the planning process. Also, some of the execution on the day of caused me to get involved, when as a bride that is the last thing you want to deal with. Food and venue are great-things just fell a bit flat with me on the execution level.

We had the best Sunday Brunch wedding ever at Saybrook Point Inn. Sara was awesome at making our different ideas come to fruition and we are so grateful to her and the ENTIRE SPI team for their extreme loyalty to our wedding on our wedding day. The entire day, I did not need a thing. I swear they can read your mind for everything that you want/need. I was that bride that didn’t bring flip-flops to her own wedding. Right after my ceremony I decided that the shoes I had NEEDED to go. Within 25 minutes, I had a pair of sandals. That’s how good everyone was! We still have people commenting on how courteous and helpful the staff was. Although other weddings happened that weekend, I still felt like the only bride in the building. They were so accommodating. They even helped a bride and her maids that would have had an awful hangover on wedding morning by getting us Burger King late the night before, LOL. Donna and Valarie were gems too. After my bustle broke for the third time, Donna insisted on fixing it for me to the best of her ability, and I was grateful to not continue to fix it for the rest of the day. The staff also set up all of my DIY (there were many) projects exactly or even better than I had instructed and placed them back into their boxes with care. We also held a “Welcome Recpetion” the night before our wedding for the out of town guests. The food and wine was great along with the intimate location that we used. It was the perfect time to sit down with people we don’t see too often and reconnect before our big day. If Saybrook Point Inn is a place that you are considering, just go for it. The entire team will not let you down.

Our time at Saybrook Point was absolutely amazing. Every detail of our wedding was considered to perfection and on our wedding day there was nothing for us to do but enjoy it. From the moment we began our conversation with the Saybrook Point team to the end of our wedding, every detail was handled with care, professionalism, and wonderful style. We would absolutely recommend the Saybrook Point Inn to anyone looking for a breathtaking, comfortable, and ideal location. There were several special requests that we made, and they accommodated every one of them with no difficulty. We will certainly return to host other events in the future, or just for a wonderful dinner!

I was never the type of girl to dream my whole life about what I wanted my wedding day to be like. However, it's a good thing I didn't waste the time dreaming because Saybrook Inn made our day more special than anything I could have possibly dreamt up in my mind. From the very first person who greeted us at the door to the final person that checked us out and every spa staff, bellman, security guard, housekeeper, wait staff, and bartender in between, every single person was wonderful to work with! We are still getting compliments on how insanely spectacular the entire weekend was and are so thankful to all! The entire staff of coordinators know how to handle any situation that you could possibly expect to go wrong and on top of that, they have solutions for issues you never would have thought would arise. I won't go into detail but..allergic reaction to starch in a shirt from none other than THE FATHER OF THE BRIDE. A situation that could have been catastrophic, and it was handled so professionally that I didn't even know it was happening! We are eternally grateful to the entire team. Saybrook Point Inn is the perfect venue for your wedding! Our wedding was nothing short of spectacular and the staff at the Inn is beyond accommodating throughout the entire process! On the day of the wedding, Donna (banquet manager) was so beyond helpful, checking in on us hours before the ceremony, to make sure we were on track and feeling okay. Our ceremony was also at the Inn and it was so beautiful at their new ceremony location, Compass Rose. I would definitely recommend this spot if your ceremony is going to be outside there. The reception was just gorgeous and the food was unbelievable! We had so many wonderful compliments from our family and friends that ranged from the cocktail hour, the wonderfulness of each staff member, the beauty of the scenery both inside and outside, and the overall elegance of the entire night. This all would not have been possible without the staff of Saybrook Point Inn and their dedication to making our wedding day and night, one that we will remember forever! Absolutely INCREDIBLE! I can't say enough positive things about my overall experience at Saybrook Point Inn. I'm seriously considering quitting my hectic NYC job and relocating to Saybrook if the Inn is hiring. Just kidding. It'll maybe be my back up retirement plan though. Anyway, from the moment my husband and I stepped foot in the lobby, we knew we had found our venue. The beautiful decor, breathtaking views and intimate/warm feel were amazing. The staff was wonderful, helpful and extremely accommodating. John, Donna, Sara, Valerie and the rest of the staff made us feel like family from the beginning. They were such professionals and understood exactly what we were looking for on our special weekend. They were helpful, attentive, communicative and just all the words that mean wonderful. We also rented out the properties across the street (Tall Tales & Three Stories) which gave our wedding weekend a more homey and warm feeling. I would absolutely recommend Saybrook Point Inn (as well as Three Stories & Tall Tales) to everyone and anyone. They also decorate the lobby beautifully for all the seasons so it's really a great venue whatever time of the year you visit! Also, the food is really good!

The location for our ceremony and cocktail hour was ideal for us...overlooking a marina with a lighthouse in the backdrop in a quaint New England town. As for the reception, that too left nothing to be desired. The banquet room was elegant and the food was incredible. (I only wish I had a second to eat a bit more of it!)

My husband and I had our reception here on June 13, 2015. I can't say enough positive things about SPI. They are truly the best at what they do! The venue was absolutely beautiful. The staff was SO helpful from the first day we walked in to when we left. They handled everything soup to nuts flawlessly. Meg, one of the coordinators who stepped in to help us, was an absolute gem. Donna, our day of coordinator, was just awesome. She was by our side helping with everything, alongside Ruby, our dedicated server. Ruby was seriously AWESOME. He was all over it, making sure we had everything we needed at all times. The food was great, cocktail hour was just beautiful. We stayed at the Lighthouse Suite the night of our wedding which was worth every penny. Walking down the docks to our room at the end of the night was priceless and so special. All of our guests loved their rooms - it was great having the majority of people staying on site without having to worry about driving and being able to stay in such great, spacious accommodations. Breakfast the next morning was also great for everyone. I truly can't recommend SPI enough - I left the next day in tears thinking about how perfect our day was - it was worth every penny. Thank you again to everyone at SPI!

Having our wedding at Saybrook Point Inn was the best decision we made for our wedding. Yes, it is expensive, but you get way more than you pay for in terms of the quality and service you receive. Our families were blown away at how attentive and professional the entire SPI staff was, and it truly made our day special. During the entire day of the wedding we did not have to think about one thing when it came to the logistics, the entire staff took care of us and made it so we could actually enjoy ourselves and our guests. Sara was amazing from the first time we met her. She was very patient with all of our questions and was very responsive, especially in the coming weeks/days before the wedding. I couldn't have asked for anyone better to help plan our wedding! The day of, Donna really took care of us with all the details and was so friendly! She was even there the following day at our breakfast and took care of everything there. The location is great, the food is wonderful and the staff is amazing - I couldn't have asked for anything more from our venue! I highly, highly recommend them!

From the moment we stepped onto the Saybrook Point Inn's property we knew this was the wedding venue for us. Beyond it's New England charm and incredible views of the water and marina, the venue had so much to offer. We arranged a tour of the site one morning on a whim. Boy, were we thankful for that \"whim\"! We were warmly welcomed and accommodated by every staff member on site from the moment we walked through the door even before we made it official. The venue is family-owned so we experienced outstanding, personal service throughout our planning process. We never felt like \"just another client\". \r\rWe specifically worked with Ken, Ellen, and Donna on the sales and banquet teams who were all absolutely marvelous. Ken was incredibly accommodating with our needs and made sure everything in our contract was clear, understood, and to our liking. Ellen took it from there and was with us every step of the way planning our special day. Always prompt to respond, she answered every question no matter how small and constantly offered solutions and enthusiasm for every idea and detail. Donna, our banquet manager, made sure the day-of went along without a hitch. We interacted with her occasionally throughout our 9-months of planning and she always greeted us with a hug and huge smile. I cannot say enough good things about the staff. As a former corporate event planner, I have worked with many planners but this team is top-notch, seasoned, and dedicated! They make you feel like you're planning your wedding with your friends, not hired professionals. \r\rOur wedding took place on a Friday in early October. We were fortunate to have beautiful weather that day so we had the ceremony on their back patio overlooking the marina. Cocktail hour followed also on the patio and the reception in the ballroom. We always had indoor backup locations for the ceremony and cocktail hour because the SPI only hosts one event at a time. We really liked this because we never felt like we were vying for the attention of the staff. The exact opposite actually! The staff checked-in with us even when we weren't reaching out to them to see how everything was going and how they could help. \r\rThe day of the wedding could not have run any smoother. Everything from the complimentary shuttle that brought our guests from another local hotel to the SPI for the ceremony and reception, to the banquet team making sure the wedding party got plenty of food and drink during cocktail, and finally to Donna making sure we were able to enjoy our meals at the reception amidst greeting all our guests. As if they hadn't done enough, they even surprised us with champagne in our room and complimentary SPI glasses for us to take home at the end of the evening. \r\rAnd we must mention the food. Oh the food! We kept hearing about how great the food was from previous reviews. Well, let us just say - it's true! We attended a group tasting (think \"attending a pretend wedding with all the venue's preferred vendors\") and the food presented was good. We were happy with it but wouldn't give it it's own paragraph in our review. But on the day of the wedding, the food was INCREDIBLE. Our guests raved about each and every course and the service that went along with it. \r\rWe truly cannot imagine having had our wedding anywhere else. The entire process was stress-free and fun! We cannot wait to go back to the SPI to celebrate our future anniversaries. It will always have a dear place in our heart.

We interacted with her occasionally throughout our 9-months of planning and she always greeted us with a hug and huge smile. I cannot say enough good things about the staff. As a former corporate event planner, I have worked with many planners but this team is top-notch, seasoned, and dedicated! They make you feel like you're planning your wedding with your friends, not hired professionals. \r\rOur wedding took place on a Friday in early October. We were fortunate to have beautiful weather that day so we had the ceremony on their back patio overlooking the marina. Cocktail hour followed also on the patio and the reception in the ballroom. We always had indoor backup locations for the ceremony and cocktail hour because the SPI only hosts one event at a time. We really liked this because we never felt like we were vying for the attention of the staff. The exact opposite actually! The staff checked-in with us even when we weren't reaching out to them to see how everything was going and how they could help. \r\rThe day of the wedding could not have run any smoother. Everything from the complimentary shuttle that brought our guests from another local hotel to the SPI for the ceremony and reception, to the banquet team making sure the wedding party got plenty of food and drink during cocktail, and finally to Donna making sure we were able to enjoy our meals at the reception amidst greeting all our guests. As if they hadn't done enough, they even surprised us with champagne in our room and complimentary SPI glasses for us to take home at the end of the evening. \r\rAnd we must mention the food. Oh the food! We kept hearing about how great the food was from previous reviews. Well, let us just say - it's true! We attended a group tasting (think \"attending a pretend wedding with all the venue's preferred vendors\") and the food presented was good. We were happy with it but wouldn't give it it's own paragraph in our review. But on the day of the wedding, the food was INCREDIBLE. Our guests raved about each and every course and the service that went along with it. \r\rWe truly cannot imagine having had our wedding anywhere else. The entire process was stress-free and fun! We cannot wait to go back to the SPI to celebrate our future anniversaries. It will always have a dear place in our heart.

I knew I wanted to go back to my CT shoreline roots to get married and investigated several of the venues available in the area that offered the elegant, waterfront setting I was looking for. I got the feeling very early on at Saybook Point that we were on the same page in terms of how to throw an elegant and memorable affair - and I was RIGHT. I'm so happy I chose an amazing venue like the SPI that knows what they are doing. They made everything so easy for a busy bride like me! The in-house wedding planning with Sara was perfect, she was responsive to my questions and accommodated the few special touches I wanted to add. Choosing my other vendors was also so easy with SPI's vendor recommendations - it became very obvious that it's a selective list and again made my life so much easier.\r\rThe week of your wedding is chaos. Know that in advance. However, the staff at SPI handled it all in stride with me as I showed up with tons of boxes for decorations and specialty items. When the day came, they had everything set up perfectly - not a thing out of place. It was actually set up even better than I had pictures in my head.\r\rThe day itself was fabulous. It's been a month now since our wedding, and I am STILL hearing from friends and family who were in attendance how much they loved the venue. People were just blown away by the food and the service provided by the staff. As well as the unmatched ocean front views and accommodations of course. \rThe staff also helped me just be a bride and enjoy the day as much as possible. Right from when we arrived from the church to do photos, my husband and I were greeted with champagne and passed apps so we didn't miss all the good stuff happening at our cocktail hour. Little did I know it at the time, but that fabulous gentleman would become our \"keeper\" for the rest of the night (which I say incredibly fondly!). He checked in with us constantly, made sure we ate food, visited tables, danced, etc. Between him, the event manager Donna, and the vendors I had chosen, they orchestrated the most well-run large event I've ever been a part of. I wanted an upscale and classy but fun wedding and SPI was the perfect place to make it happen. Following our wedding, our guests talked about the venue, food, accommodations, and overall service of our special day for weeks. We fell in love with Saybrook Point Inn during our initial tour and knew this is where we wanted to get married. The tasting and vendor night only reinforced all of our reasons for choosing Saybrook Point Inn. This is a fun evening where all couples from upcoming weddings get together for a faux wedding with a sit-down dinner to try some of the popular dishes and meet a variety of different vendors. What’s not to love with the beautiful water views and gorgeous ballroom though! On the day of our wedding the service was outstanding, the food was delicious, and the venue was beautiful. We worked with Sara for planning our wedding and she was amazing. I’m not sure how she keeps it all straight, but I never had a worry on my wedding day or throughout the entire planning process. From Sara, Ellen, Donna, Joe and everyone in between, the team here is the best and made the day as memorable as it was. \r\rIn addition, we just recently returned for our first wedding anniversary. Everyone at the Inn remembered who we were and treated us just as special as they did on our wedding day! I can completely understand why this venue continues to win The Knot “Best of Weddings” award, they will always deserve it!

Oh my! How can we ever thank all of the wonderful folks at Saybrook Point Inn for the most wonderful fairy tale wedding reception? The beautiful waterfront setting is fantastic and the staff is incredible and will go above and beyond to make everything perfect... and in fact, our wedding was just that... A+++! It began last fall with a chance visit looking for our wedding reception site. We fell in love with SPI from the minute we arrived and knew this was where we had to have our wedding reception! While walking around, we were greeted by superstar Dean. He gave us a memorable tour and assured us that it would be the reception of a lifetime! Later we met up with wedding planner extraordinaire Sara who took charge of all of our arrangements. She was professional, knowledgeable and could not have been nicer…..even when we sent hundreds of emails!! Wedding planner Ellen did a terrific job when Sara was on maternity leave and they worked together seamlessly. They also helped with numerous other things like referring hair stylist April Murallo who went right to the bridal suite and did an amazing job! They set us up for quite a day! The day started with the perfect wedding at St. John’s church along with Father Greg and the music of renowned musical director Tim Stella. As we came out of church to head over to the Saybrook Point Inn, we were greeted by the first of two rainbows of the day (sent from heaven!) and the Westbrook Junior Colonials Fife and Drum Corp. We stepped off the Jolly Red Trolley to a glass of champagne and the beginning of our dream evening. Cocktail hour on the patio above the docks was unbelievable. The hor d’oeuvre displays, including specially requested watermelon carvings were out of this world. We also had the Caribbean Vibe steel drum band playing and that along with the second rainbow made that an enchanting experience. Then it was into the main event….Our reception was excellent beyond words thanks that night to Donna and Joe and all the staff. Donna, Donna...we can’t thank you enough for all of the countless things you did (most that we would have never thought of) including sitting on the floor getting a stain out of my dress and bustling it 3 times! Joe anticipated our every need and all of the staff was top notch. The food and ambiance was exceptional and our guests are still raving about the entire experience. We had several special requests and Sara, Donna, the Chef and entire staff, made them all happen. The chocolate devastation cake from one of their recommended bakeries, Pastry Fusion, was to die for. Many recommended The Cartel’s for our band and that was the perfect choice for us. Karen and the whole orchestra had the whole evening choreographed flawlessly and they worked seamlessly with SPI. The dance floor was always full and an awesome time was had my all! We also loved the history and beauty of the entire Inn and especially the guest rooms which were elegant, spacious and luxurious (fireplaces). We know some of our guests have already returned! We stayed on for a few days and were treated like royalty. All staff were special, every restaurant visit was great, the Spa was absolutely wonderful...the experience was magnificent! \r We highly recommend Saybrook Point Inn to anyone looking for the perfect place for a wedding venue. Thanks to all involved for being a part of our wedding. Dean was so right…it was a fairy tale time of our lives.

Donna and Sara went above and beyond what we could have imagined and made our wedding day and the planning process perfect and easy. The two of them were an absolute delight to work with. We attended a wedding at Saybrook Point a few years ago and fell in love, and rightfully so. So, when we started looking into venues, it was a no-brainer. We met with Sara and she was so incredibly knowledgeable, professional, invested, and engaging. She was our primary consultant throughout the entire planning process and always had a very quick response time. When I hit my \"Bridal Wall,\" she was reassuring. Sara gave her all and you could see that she genuinely enjoyed it! Donna was her right-hand woman! She radioed for seltzer when my dress got a stain on it. She and Sara were diligent and undeniably dedicated the entire process, all of the way through the wedding. I was a DIY bride and I went all-out with mason jars! They served as favors, containers, vases, and candle holders so there were probably 19 cases (give or take!). The staff was so accommodating and made me feel like I wasn't the \"Crazy Mason Jar Bride.\" Ed, Bernard, and Francois helped us unload and load (and unload and load!) everything and were just so friendly and helpful. Scott and Brandon at the front-desk were always polite and great with all of our guests. Dean was just amazing to me and my husband, as well as our bridal party. The food was superb. We received so many compliments on everything, from hors d'oeuvres to the appetizer (the ravioli is to die for!) to the entrees. We did buffet-style, and the food was anything but! Nothing was dry or chewy or drenched in sauce. It was all perfectly cooked, presented, and served. I know this is a very long review, and awesome if you have decided to read the whole thing! We loved it there so much that we made a long weekend of it! We were married on a Friday and stayed the Thursday night before until the Monday after! This is the place to have your dream wedding! There just are not enough words to express how dynamic everything truly was! We plan on returning for our anniversary every year and look forward to doing so!

My husband and I chose this venue based on the location in Connecticut and proximity to the water and I am thrilled that we did. From beginning to end everything was perfect. Sara, my bridal consultant, was phenomenal. She was so nice and accomodating. She worked with me on every detail to make sure that it suited my needs. Donna, the banquet manager, was fabulous for the night of the wedding. She made sure that every detail Sara and I discussed was executed perfectly. Joe, my attendant, was by my side the entire night making sure that I was taken care of and everywhere I needed to be. Rubson, a waiter, was also attentive and responsive to the needs of my guests. The food was fantastic. All of my guests commented about how beautiful the venue was and how delicious the food was as well. The one negative was that we upgraded to a pasta bar during the cocktail hour, but it was set up in a corner and after the wedding a number of guest said they didn't even know/see a pasta bar, including my mother who knew that we had got one. Other than that, it was perfect and I would highly recommend this venue. It is a beautiful and tranquil setting and the people that work there are kind, accomdating and attentive to the bride, the groom and their guests.

I just had my wedding last night at Saybrook Point, and I could not have been more pleased! My husband and I can't get over how perfect our day was. The staff was amazing, a few to name; Sarah, Donna, and Dean, an absolute pleasure to deal with! Dean pulled me aside to make sure I ate and my dress was bustled. This was the perfect venue for my wedding. We had 50 guests and the ceremony and reception were all done outside. The food was excellent and my guests raved about it. The location could not have been any more beautiful. Sara was very responsive to my special requests and needs and made my planning all the easier.

My husband and I got married 4 months ago at the SPI. We had the time of our lives on our wedding weekend--everything was absolutely perfect--and we owe it all to Sara Sheiffele and her amazing staff at the SPI!\r\rFirst of all, the inn and its quaint waterfront location is an absolute dream come true! Everything about the inn exudes elegance from the beautiful grounds, the gorgeous foyer, fresh seafood menus, top-knotch spa treatments and old-world-feeling of the oversized, luxurious rooms. It is unlike any hotel or inn out there. You have to go and see it to understand!\rSara S. worked and partnered with us from day one, catering to our every need and request with lots of phone calls and email communication. She is extremely knowledgeable and responsive, so it made each step of planning that much easier. She saw too it that the menu was done exactly the way we envisioned, and even secured a private tasting for us. (The inn usually does group tastings). On the day of the wedding she surprised us both by putting us up in most gorgeous Chester Suite - it's like an apartment! This was an upgrade to the inn's standard free night stay for the bride and groom. It was an extremely thoughtful measure! \r\rJust in case you’re wondering though - there is honestly no bad room in this place! They are a little pricey in terms of rates, but you are getting luxury, comfort and views that are truly unparalleled! We encouraged our guests to stay at the inn to get the full experience! The rooms have the feeling of a mansion - think marble floors, fireplaces and light blue damask bedding! \r\rThe day of our wedding went off without a hitch. Sara's dream team was there to pull off each segment seamlessly. Everything was smoothly coordinated and setup just the way we had wanted, from the guest sign-in table, to the candy bar and special menu requests we had made. I remember feeling scattered after my hair got completely windblown during our \"first look\" photos, but the event banquet girls were up in my rooms with walky-talkies communicating to the team downstairs to delay the ceremony and inform my groom I was running late. Then after the ceremony they put together the ridiculously intricate French bustle on the train of my gown and brought us our own tray of food and champagne, so we wouldn't miss a single aspect of our night.\r\rI can keep going, but you get the idea! This place has all the right stuff and more importantly, people to help you create a 5 star wedding from start to finish. Highly recommend the Saybrook Point Inn for an unforgettable experience! PS...they are currently building more suites just down the road. The place is really expanding and growing for all of the future brides looking for the latest and greatest!\r

The Saybrook team were not amazing but were totally professional! Sara and her team of superstars made our wedding more than perfect. The staff I barely remember seeing the day of and the food was so perfect that my family tells me everytime I talk to them. I cannot thank them enough for all their hard work and dedication.

My husband and I got engaged on the water in Newport, but wanted to have a more local wedding here in CT. We came across Saybrook Point Inn and after just a brief tour, we knew this was our spot! The property is absolutely gorgeous. Prior to our wedding, we attended their tasting. We assumed we would be there with our coordinator to sample a few things on the menu. To our surprise, we were in attendance with a number of other couples. It was like a mock wedding. They had many cake vendors to choose from, wait staff serving appetizers and entrees and the girls from the spa doing a makeup trial for the brides. We were so impressed and knew our day would be perfect! \r\rOur wedding coordinator was Sara Sheiffele, who was truly the best! She returned our calls and emails extremely fast and did a fabulous job handling all the requests we had. Donna Michaud was also a part of our big day and coordinated our entire night along with Sara. There wasn’t a detail that was missed and not a single thing that went wrong that day. The wait staff was exceptional and we can’t say enough about the food! Our guests couldn’t get over how delicious everything was. \r\rSaybrook Point Inn also has a spa on-site, which makes it very easy for brides to have both their hair and makeup done without worrying about appointment times or travel. Tara Raschello did my makeup for my wedding day and I couldn’t believe how beautiful it turned out. I normally don’t wear face makeup and was so pleased with how natural and flawless it looked. April Murallo was my stylist in my bridal suite and did an amazing job with my hair. \r\rWe highly recommend Saybrook Point Inn to anyone looking for the perfect place for a wedding venue. Thank you to all for being a part of our wedding day! It was a dream come true! \r

My husband and I got married ay Saybrook Point Inn a month ago and it was beyond perfect. Every single staff member was so easy to work with and each one of them had a smile on their face at all times. They were extremely flexible, helpful and genuinely happy! We had nothing to worry about... ever!! The food is exquisite, the scenery is heavenly and our guests had a ball. They treated us and our guests like royalty all night... there is nothing negative to say about Saybrook Point Inn!

Saybrook Point Inn was the best decision i could have made for my wedding. From just meeting with Sarah prior to picking the place to every detail that followed. Sarah the wedding coordinator helped me through every step and made my wedding day so easy and carefree. I didn't have to worry about at thing the day of my wedding and the staff made sure my day was amazing. I have to give a shout of to on of the servers Dean who made sure on my wedding night my husband and I were 100% taken care of, my drink was never empty. The food at Saybrook is beyong wonderful. I could go on forever about how highly i recommend Saybrook for a wedding.

I could not have had more of a wonderful planning and execution experience with Sara and the staff at Saybrook Point Inn. They were punctual, friendly, assuaged all my concerns, and helped our entire day go smoothly and our guests have a BLAST! They are truly top of the line and solve any problems you have before you even know you have them! They treated my bridal party like royalty, and included so many nice touches. Our guests were thrilled with the experience. Could not recommend more strongly, and will refer all my friends and family to this wonderful spot!

Our wedding at Saybrook Point Inn & Spa was everything we could have hoped for and more. The reception was beautiful and elegant. We had a lot of guests traveling from out of town so it was the perfect spot for a weekend get away. Sara our wedding consultant for the event was extremely accommodating and very helpful in assisting us with our vendor selection on order to make it the perfect wedding for us. The wait staff at the reception were very attentive and the food was excellent. We heard from many of our guests it was \"The Best Wedding\" they have ever been to and they could not get over how attentive the waiters and waitresses were. We could not have been more happier with our choice. Aside from the beautiful location, the Inn has everything you need right there and the town is so quaint it is the prefect spot for a wedding. Everyone at the Inn could not have been nicer and more accommodating from helping us find a dog sitter to helping me bustle my dress. It was truly a first class affair and I can honestly say it was a perfect day and I can not think of anything that went wrong or that I would have changed. I would absolutely recommend to anyone to have their wedding here it was truly a memorable and perfect day.

OSPI was perfection from start to finish. The staff is amazing and the food was fantastic. The view is stunning and even though it rained on our wedding day, OSPI was prepared for everything. The indoor cocktail room is gorgeous and when the night cleared up, they opened up the outside patio and fire pit for us. We were actually able to enjoy our evening because they are such pros at what they do. They treated us like royalty by sending some one with apps as we took photos, made sure we got to eat, and were amazing to all our guests as well. Joe, the wedding helper, knew what we needed before we knew we needed it. The night was everything we could have hoped for and more, even in the rain! I had no worried through the whole process with their help. They truly take the stress out of planning and they don't miss a single detail.

Saybrook point inn was just as wonderful for our wedding as I expected they would be!! Having grown up in the old saybrook area, we'd gone to the inn several times for the restaurant and they completely topped my expectations at our wedding. Our guests arrived a little early to cocktail hour and they were completely accommodating and opened up the bar immediately. The weather was a little iffy but they let us stay outside which is exactly what I wanted. I remember going thru the buffet line and one of the banquet managers held my plate for me and I just pointed to what I wanted to eat! Now that's service!! Throughout the whole day they provided guidance and told us exactly what was going to happen, but not in an obtrusive way at all. All the staff was so friendly and we really enjoyed our room that night. Everything had been taken care of for us, really the whole thing went off without a hitch!
