Susan Heinicke(other)5 out of 5 Rating
We just returned from a weekend at Schweitzer for our sonâs wedding. From the minute we checked in to the clean up on Sunday every staff member was polite, helpful, productive and fun. This includes everyone; front desk, security driver of the golf cart, banquet and catering people, servers, lift operators, we couldnât have asked for better service from any of them. I would highly recommend an event at Schweitzer. Reviewed on 02-08-2023
Haleigh Ison(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 25-09-2022 Cassandra and Liz were an absolute pleasure to work with for our wedding day. For both of our families this was a destination wedding. Being we are all from Florida all of our family and friends could not stop complimenting the beauty of this location along with the absolute hospitality that came with it. For our wedding everything went off with out a single hitch in my opinion (and I'm the bride that would notice every detail)! Our rehearsal dinner, ceremony and reception were hosted and catered by Schweitzer. Communication with Cassandra and Liz was effortless even with the time zone change of three hours. The little touches that they do for you make this a top notch pick and I would have my wedding there over and over again. My wedding was in the off season which made it feel like we had the entire mountain to ourselves, even with another wedding going on that same weekend. The only critique I can even come up with was that when we got to our suite for the weekend it was not cleaned yet and that delayed our check in by two hours, a few of our other guests had this problem but when brought to the front desk they immediately got on it and sent people to clean and prep our rooms. The only reason it even took that long was because the room was a 3 bedroom 2 bath plus living and kitchen area! With that I would still give this vendor 5/5 stars because that wasn't even wedding related in my opinion. I would also like to mention the fact that for our entire wedding we spent a third to even a fifth of what we would have for a wedding back home in FL!!!! Reviewed on 10-04-2023
Nina Mazza(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 06-08-2022 On the fence about booking your wedding here? DO IT! Schweitzer provides not only the most incredible view a venue can offer (top of mountain ceremony), but the most incredible staff to work with! Our day simply would not have been the same without Cassandra and Liz , their attention to detail and hard work throughout the planning process paid off tenfold at the wedding! Plus the chef and his food service staff were amazing!! We are forever grateful for the best wedding day ever and we owe a great deal of that to Schweitzer! Reviewed on 22-01-2023
Hayley Windhorn(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 01-10-2022 Cassandra and Liz at Schweitzer, along with all of the staff on the wedding day, made our weekend on the mountain Incredible. We got so many compliments from our guests and family about how friendly and great the service was at the rehearsal dinner, and the wedding day. Liz and Cassandra did great with keeping the day in order and helping with the flow of the ceremony and reception. The food...my goodness...amazing! We had the pasta dinner for rehearsal which was very yummy. For the wedding, the beef tenderloin and stuffed salmon were the talk of the night! They were so delicious and the guests could not stop talking about them! The mountain view was perfect and the reception hall in the Lakeview lodge was so cozy and dreamy. There were a few times it took almost a week to hear back from the office in the summer when we had emailed about some questions, and the construction did make it difficult for guests to find parking as it wasn't marked the easiest for those whom were just coming up for the day vs. staying at the lodge. There also was a slight miscommunication with guest bags we had made to be given to the hotel guests, as some people were not given their bags upon check-in despite being on the list. However overall our mountain wedding was perfect and my family and husband will continue to talk about the gorgeous venue for years to come! Reviewed on 11-10-2022
Christina Fuller(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 11-06-2022 Booking Schweitzer Mountain as our wedding venue for June 2022 was one of the BEST decisions we made when planning where we wanted to getting married. We wanted a venue with a view and we got so much more!!! Cassandra, the event's coordinator was PHENOMENAL in the planning and helping with every Bride questions I had (and I had ALOT) She was patient and kind and walked us through everything and helped break everything down to steps that didn't overwhelm me. The ceremony was indoors due to weather that was raining in the morning but cleared up right before the ceremony but it worked out because was had a comfortable indoor ceremony that had our view in the back and made an easy transition for the wedding party to take beautiful photos on the platform in the village!!! Breathtaking!! and our food was what every guest raved about, simply delicious đ If I could give Schweitzer Mountain Resort more stars I would. It was a wonderful experience and the view alone will make it a very memorable venue for you and your guests!! Reviewed on 16-06-2022
Laura Schuppert(other)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 02-09-2021 When my daughter decided on Schweitzer Mountain for her summer wedding venue, i knew she would not want the typical âon the platformâ wedding location. We worked closely with Cassandra walking many slopes of the mountain to select an âoff the trailâ venue that was exactly the spot my daughter wanted to perform her vows. Every detail was discussed and executed to âbeyond our expectationsâ . From our off the trail ceremony to the magnificent reception and dinner at the Sky House we could not have asked for a more beautiful and romantic wedding. Schweitzer Mountain is an ideal place for a summer, fall, winter or spring wedding. Reviewed on 07-10-2021
Hali Hopf(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 20-08-2021 If I had to do it all over again I would pick Schweitzer as my venue every time! Our wedding day was rainy/smoky, but we left with absolutely amazing memories (and pictures). I tried to do as much of the planning as I could on my own, and can honestly say that if it werenât for the Schweitzer staff (especially Cassandra and Amy) that the day would not have gone half as well as it did. Every person we came into contact with went above and beyond to accommodate us! For all that we got out of our experience, this venue was worth every penny. Reviewed on 30-09-2021
Danielle Pugil(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 07-08-2021 My husband and I got married at the top of Schweitzer last month and we are still hearing rave reviews from our guests! We had a very rainy & windy ceremony, but the Schweitzer staff did everything in their power to ensure everyone was calm, comfortable, and having a great time! Luckily the rain and thick clouds cleared out just after the ceremony & everyone was treated to the absolutely gorgeous views of Lake Pend Oreille on their chair lift ride back down to the village. Even with the less-than-ideal weather, we had the most magical & memorable day, and that is largely because of the setting of the venue & the awesome staff that make the magic happen behind the scenes! Cassandra & Amy from Group Sales were always quick to answer our questions and did their very best to accommodate any special requests we had. If you're contemplating getting married in northern Idaho or near the Spokane area, look no further than Schweitzer -- you and your guests are bound to have a wonderful time! Reviewed on 02-09-2021
Samantha Perry(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 04-07-2021 We had the most amazing wedding weekend at Schweitzer on 4th of July. We planned from a distance (Hawaii/then Kansas) but everything went so smooth and seamless thanks to Amy and Cassandra. I was so relaxed the whole wedding and really able to enjoy every minute. We had stunning weather and gorgeous views. Our family and friends LOVED it saying it was the most beautiful wedding venue theyâve been to. Not to mention, the whole weekend feels like a celebration when everyone is staying in the village. The food was delicious and we were able to get kegs from local breweries. As others noted, the drinks are resort prices so expect to overpay. Overall though, it was fairly affordable for getting married and having cocktail hour on top of a mountain!! Reviewed on 28-07-2021
Olivia Skierka(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 27-09-2020 Planning a mini wedding in the middle of a pandemic all the way from California should have been extremely stressful, but Schweitzer's team knocked it out of the park! Being used to California's competitive wedding industry, we were shocked at how easy Cassandra and Amy made it for us every step of the way. Responding to our dozens of emails and questions, being flexible and organized, providing so many details. We weren't able to travel up and see the actual venue until two months before the wedding and we were blown away with how perfect our custom package was. And when the weather shifted at the last minute, it was still a breeze. We were married on the Musical Chairs Patio with stunning views and the reception was in the Lakeview Lodge at sunset. The catering was delicious and there were so many options to choose from! Reception and Bar staff were awesome. The whole night was seemless! Thank you Schweitzer! Reviewed on 12-11-2020
Mary Rogers(bride)4 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 28-08-2020 Schweitzer Mountain Resort was absolutely breathtaking as a venue and the staff there was incredibly helpful. Cassandra and Amy were probably contacted by me weekly leading up to the wedding and multiple times per day the week prior. They went above and beyond making sure we had the perfect day. Not to mention SMR waived the rescheduling fees when we had to push our date because of COVID.The reasons I didn't give 5 stars is because we had to use their caterer and bar service which was pretty expensive. Also, they don't allow any carts/trucks up the mountain so you have to use the chairlift. For the majority of people, it was no problem, however, those who are scared of heights ended up not coming to the ceremony. Finally, you pay for full package of lift tickets for the ceremony even if you have less people attending. If you have a full group of people not worried about heights and okay with spending a bit more on the bar and food, this is ABSOLUTELY worth it. I'd 100% reserve this wedding venue if we had to do it all over again.Thank you to the Schweitzer team again :) Reviewed on 08-09-2020

Benjamin Weiner(groom)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 05-07-2020 We had a wedding planned for July 5th at the top of the mountain, and the recent pandemic put a wrench in our plans. We were devastated! Not only were we not going to be able to have our dream wedding at the top of the mountain, but we werenât going to be able to have our friends & family with us on our big day. We had to cancel about a month before our wedding and Cassandra was so incredible to work with. She empathized with our situation and was able to work with us on a reasonable cancellation plan. We will definitely be back at SchweitzerâŠ.hopefully for our reception in the SkyHouse! Thank you Cassandra and the Schweitzer Mountain staff for putting your customers first!Itâs also worth noting that, up until our cancellation, Cassandra and the Schweitzer Mountain staff did a fantastic job helping us plan for our big day. Michael Mastor(groom)4 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 04-06-2019 Schweitzer was a great place to have a wedding. The mountain location, views, and outdoor scenery really made it special. I believe we were also one of the first groups to utilize the new summit lodge, which is where we chose to have the rehearsal dinner. From the beginning, Schweitzer was very open to our ideas about the wedding, and even allowed us to hang our own bistro lights from the main lodge to the village clock tower. Schweitzer also allowed us to serve guests champagne as they boarded the chairlift and rode to the top for the summit ceremony. Activity spaces were setup as described, and the meal service was very good. In particular, I got a lot of compliments about the sirloin steak that was served â it was perfectly cooked. There are only a few reasons I havenât given Schweitzer the full five stars. One of which was that I was not totally impressed with the White Pine lodging situation. In the summer heat, the small window air-conditioners that are used simply couldnât keep up. The rooms and the hallways in the White Pine were uncomfortably hot, especially when you were to consider dressing in a full suit. Thankfully, last minute, I was allowed to rent the presidential suite at the Selkirk lodge, which had much more suitable air conditioning, and which I used for my groomsmen and me to get ready before the ceremony. Next, only weeks before the wedding, Schweitzer suddenly claimed that we would be required to be down the chairlift from the summit ceremony an hour earlier than was originally planned. As you can imagine, it was FAR too late in the game to change schedule, yet it was only after I cited early email communication from Schweitzer (which thankfully I saved) that they agreed to honor the original schedule. It was still stressful, nonetheless. As more minor details: one of the pony kegs that we requested for the reception dinner was not ordered, and champagne glasses were not filled when we were ready for the toast (causing a bit of a delay). I donât believe we were charged for the pony keg that was given in consolation. Overall, it was a great wedding and after party. Everyone who came said they had a great time, and many of the mentioned details werenât even noticed by guests. Reviewed on 04-04-2018

It was absolutely beautiful, and the staff Jamie Neptune and Katie Turner were great. Very helpful in all things. Schweitzer Village group sales was awesome at providing great discounts for lodging for our guests, the lodging options were awesome, and all our guests had a great time. Chelsey Shirar(bride)3 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 31-07-2015 This venue is so beautiful for both ceremony and reception. It's such a unique experience for guests to ride the chairlift up to the top for the ceremony and the view is breathtaking. The downfall is that it is pricey. It didn't seem like a lot of money at first, but then it was just one thing after another with fees and extra costs that it really started to add up. Also, the wedding coordinators are nice and great people, but we had a terrible experience with them. Little to no help or guidance, especially the day off when we needed it the most. We had a lot of guests even make comments about how unhelpful she was. If you factor the wedding coordinator into the price of what you pay, we definitely didn't get our moneys worth! But everything ended up going smooth and we had a beautiful and fantastic day! Reviewed on 04-09-2015
Anonymous (wedding party)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 02-11-2016 Many thanks to the amazing staff of Schweitzer Mountain Resort who went above and beyond to make my Son and his Brides Wedding Day exceptional. Special thanks to Katie Turner who was remarkable at keeping everything organized,on time and exhibiting a tremendous calm even when I realized the wedding cake flowers were in fact on top of the mountain. (She managed to get them down and in place before the guests arrived). To Marty Bennett who rounded up full length mirrors for the bridal party whom were getting ready in the White Pines Club and organized the cake table. To the chef for the wonderful meal served buffet style where the pork and chicken were moist, the green beans crisp and the salad garden fresh. We had rave reviews from our guests. The bartenders and waitresses, the bike patrol who retrieved several items that some guests had accidentally dropped from the chair lift. And, last but not least the personable Lifties and the behind the scene Sales Manager Matt Hofmann and Wedding Specialist Jamie Neptune. Thanks for hanging in there with us with all our questions and special requests during the planning stages. \rYour the best, Shelley Vincent Reviewed on 02-09-2015
Rebe Camp(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 08-12-2012 We had our wedding reception up at Schweitzer Mountain Resort and it was one of the best decisions we made, especially because winter wedding logistics are fairly difficult to plan (a lot of venues are shut down or have limited capacity in the winter). The staff and wedding planners were very professional and made everything so easy for us--as close to stress-free on our big day as possible (which is a huge gift for any bride). Another big plus for us was that our guests got to stay in the resort hotels which were just a few hundred feet from the reception (because most people stayed on the mountain, it was our wedding plus a family and friend reunion in one, everyone had a great time!). Everything was close and convenient, and the view from the mountain looking out over the valley and the lake is amazing!!!\r\rBecause the Schweitzer staff took care of us so well, we were even able to get some runs in on the slopes :)\r\rHighly recommended for winter and summer weddings!
