Scribner Bend Vineyards is a gorgeously uncomplicated wedding venue in Sacramento, CA. Nestled on the banks of the Sacramento River, just 12 miles south of Downtown Sacramento, this stunning property is perfect for couples seeking privacy and exclusivity with more than a touch of class. The rustic yet elegant charm of the grounds and the microclimate of warm summer days and cool evening breezes are perfect for two things, growing grapes and hosting unforgettable wedding celebrations. The romantic, picturesque setting, combines simple elegance and a rich history to offer soon-to-be-weds a truly idyllic location to create the wedding of their dreams. Couples can prepare for the day in the beautiful 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom bungalow boasting amazing views of the vineyard and surrounding countryside along with our newly added Airstream Lounge to relax and hang out before photos begin. You will then exchange vows outside amongst the vines in our Chardonnay Garden where the mature trees create shade and the perfect romantic backdrop for wedding ceremonies. After the ceremony your guests can mingle in the back courtyard where they can enjoy our estate grown wines and 3 pre-selected domestic beer options alongside delicious Paesanos Catering appetizers. Guests will then make the short walk to the Reception Tent which is bookended by our iconic barn on one end and large outdoor fireplace on the other. Here, guests can dance the night away creating endless memories that you all can share for years to come. The seasoned team at Scribner Bend Vineyards prides themselves on providing a warm and welcoming environment where couples can bring their wedding vision to life. We offer a range of services and packages that can be tailored to each client’s needs. All packages include the use of the bungalow and airstream lounge on your wedding day, assistance from our Event Director on your wedding details from the day you book until the week of your wedding, full support staff on your wedding day, rehearsal prior to your wedding, tables, chairs, and more. My husband and I got married at Scribner Bend on 4/22/23. I cannot say enough good things about Jessica, her team, and the venue. The venue is in Elk Grove and beautifully located away from freeway and noise of the city. There's plenty of gorgeous rose covered arches and the venue had such a romantic feel to it. We fell in love with the venue the moment we saw it and knew this was the place we had to get married. Jessica reached out shortly thereafter and we had a date set! Jessica made the entire wedding planning process so easy and she honestly took the stress off our shoulders. She coordinated with our vendors, constantly kept us updated, and was very clear with every step of the process. She is organized, professional, and the kind of person you want when planning such a huge day. Leading up to the wedding, she gave us plenty of time to work on each step of the wedding i.e. ceremony set up, reception details, seating chart, etc. I further appreciated how both the bride/bridesmaid could get ready on site as well as the groom and groomsmen (in different areas of the venue, of course) and could order food to be brought to the Bungalow during the getting ready process. Once we were done getting ready, things ran so smoothly because of Jessica and her team. After the ceremony, we had pictures taken and I had gotten hungry so one of the staff members left the bridal party with a tray of appetizers which was so perfect and exactly what we all needed at the time. The rest of the wedding was incredible. Our guests partied, ate, and danced under and near the beautiful tented area. I still get compliments about our wedding so many months later. If I could do our wedding again, I would in a heartbeat simply because of how incredible the whole team was.

We got married at Scribner Bend on 6/10/2023, and wow, where do I start?The planning process was remarkable easy. Jessica got back to us as soon as we first reached out, and within a few days we toured the grounds with Laura, who was sweet and professional and made us feel welcome and comfortable. The pricing and payment timeline were totally transparent, and the rest of the planning process was laid out in an organized manner for us.Jessica, Laura, and Sarah gave us outstanding service in the months leading up to our big day. Jessica guided us through the whole process, from picking vendors to creating ceremony diagrams, and answered all of the questions that we had. We had a few last-minute changes, which got implemented perfectly.Jessica also coordinated with all of the vendors on the day of the wedding, so my husband and I were entirely free to spend time with our friends and family. Jessica and the SBV staff had taken care of so much beforehand, and took care of everything else on the day of (to include setting up and breaking down the tables with decorations/table numbers, accepting flower and cake deliveries, coordinating with out DJ/MC for the sound setup, prepping the bridal bungalow and groomsmen airstream trailer, etc). My bridesmaids and our hair and makeup artists all said that it was the most chill wedding they had ever been a part of, and that's because the staff at SBV did so much behind the scenes for us.The venue itself is jaw-dropping gorgeous. SBV has the perfect \"lush greenery\" look, with rose-covered arches, tall walnut tree, and rows and rows of vines. The whole venue is covered in greenery and smells so lovely because of all of the roses and honeysuckle and jasmine. I love that the ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception are all in different areas, so the guests get to see different scenery as the night goes on. My husband and I really wanted an outdoor wedding, and while the reception is within a tent, you are surrounded by greenery the entire night. While the weather on our day was unseasonably beautiful, there's also tons of shade for sunny/hot days. We got away with minimal florals and uplighting, since the venue is already so well lit and beautiful. Finally, because of the location, SBV felt incredibly peaceful and private. We felt like we were in a little pocket of heaven all night, and in the following few days I lost count of how many people said that it was \"the most beautiful wedding they had ever been to\".We purchased the package for unlimited wine and beer for our celebration. The wine was delicious and well received. We weren't thrilled about one of the beer options, but we were able to bring a beer of our choice to swap out. There was never a line at the bar, and our guests drank as much as they wanted. We also opted for the sparkling almond wine toast, which was delicious and well loved.For Paesanos - we received exceptional service and phenomenal food from Rain and the rest of the Paesanos staff. We were blown away by how delicious the food was, and how professional the service was. I posted a longer review on Yelp with more details.Everything considered, we are so, so thankful that Jessica and the other staff at SBV took such great care of us in the months leading up to our wedding day, and our family and friends on the day itself. Our day was absolutely perfect. I cannot recommend this venue highly enough.

My husband and I got married at Scribner Bend at the end of April 2023. We would give it 10 stars if possible! Honestly, we could not imagine having our wedding anywhere else. First, the place is BEAUTIFUL. The flowers, the vines, the barn, the ceremony and reception area, the bungalow - everything is stunning. Second, the food (Paesanos) - AMAZING. We had so many guests comment on how delicious dinner was (and of course the late night pizzas - highly recommend). They also had an awesome selection of wine, which was phenomenal as well. Most importantly, Jessica and the Scribner team were amazing to work with. She answered every question we had in a very timely manner, sent reminders and updates, and made us feel very comfortable with the process. From the very first tour to the last hour of wedding clean up - they were there to help and support every step of the way. Everything ran so smoothly on wedding day. I expected to probably have a glitch or two - but nope, not one! We are so grateful! Thank you again Scribner Bend for helping make our wedding the best day!! :)

Scribner is an excellent wedding venue! Beautiful, spacious, great location near Sacramento and Elk Grove attractions and accommodations. On top of all of this, the coordinating team is incredible. My husband and I got married here in April 2022; we worked with Jessica throughout the planning process and several others at the venue on the day of. From the time we visited and booked with Scribner, the team was so helpful in envisioning and executing our perfect day. Scribner is an excellent wedding venue! Beautiful, spacious, great location near Sacramento and Elk Grove attractions and accommodations. On top of all of this, the coordinating team is incredible. Scribner Bend Vineyard is the best venue ever for a wedding or just to go and have a glass of wine and chill. We had our wedding at scribner Bend on April 23, 2023. Jessica was super helpful with the wedding planning and kept me on point through the whole process. The food for the wedding was catered by Paesano's. It was amazing!! The vibe, the food, and the wine was great. Especially, the Almond Sparkling Wine used for toasting. Our guest said we had the best wedding they have ever been too! It would not have been the best without Scribner Bend, Jessica, and the friendly staff. I love this vineyard and will continue to go here to chill. I can see why The Knot voted them the best venue. Scribner Bend Vineyard is the best venue ever for a wedding or just to go and have a glass of wine and chill. We had our wedding at scribner Bend on April 23, 2023. Jessica was super helpful with the wedding planning and kept me on point through the whole process. The food for the wedding was catered by Paesano's. It was amazing!! The vibe, the food, and the wine was great. Especially, the Almond Sparkling Wine used for toasting. Our guest said we had the best wedding they have ever been too! It would not have been the best without Scribner Bend, Jessica, and the friendly staff. I love this vineyard and will continue to go here to chill. I can see why The Knot voted them the best venue. We were one of the many couples affected by the COVID 19 pandemic rescheduling our wedding three times with Scribner Bend. Each time Scribner Bend was very understanding and accommodating to help us create the most magical day of our lives. I loved working with Jessica and all of the vineyard staff. Everyone is super friendly and helpful. Their number one goal is to create a picture perfect event and boy did they deliver! We are forever grateful that we chose Scribner Bend and we will be returning for years to come to celebrate our wedding anniversaries. THANK YOU SCRIBNER BEND! We appreciate you and your team!

The customer service & communication throughout the whole planning process was clear, responsive, and kind. I loved that Scriber Bend had a rain plan just in case and we're ready to flip things around if need be. I highly recommend looking at their preferred vendor list! The food from Paesanos was amazing, our guest STILL talk about it! Looking back at our pictures and remembering our special day there is truly no where else that could have made our dream wedding come to life. Scribner Bend was the perfect venue for our April wedding! We chose it for the lovely winery setting with white roses, arches along the walkway and vineyards surrounding us. I also love the massive white tent, water fountain and fireplace details in the reception area. Besides the beautiful setting, we chose SBV for its efficiency, organization and connection with Paesano's catering. Everyone raved about the food and wine! We felt very taken care of throughout the whole process by the SBV team and would highly recommend it for your wedding venue.

It was like they literally thought of everything. Jessica painted a beautiful picture during the initial walk through and it came out even better. They thought of every detail, down to having champagne waiting for us at the end of the aisle. The getting ready cottage was perfect. We were able to spread out and relax all morning. Everything just flowed so smoothly and transitioned well. Of all the amazing things that night, I was especially thankful that we didn't need to go through the buffet line. idk why but that little detail was so cool. Their staff was right where we needed them should we ever need them. We were so thankful we were able to get married here! Thank you SBV!

My husband and I had our wedding last month at Scribner Bend. It was the perfect day, and we loved everything about having our wedding there. We planned our Sacramento wedding from where we currently live in New York City, and Jessica (the venue's wedding coordinator), was amazing from the beginning. She was very fast to respond to any questions I e mailed her throughout the planning process, which put me at ease while planning it from so far away. Sarah was our day of coordinator and she was also great. We had a lot of guests compliment how beautiful everything was, and a few told us it was the best wedding they'd ever been to, which made us happy. It was truly our dream wedding, and we're so happy we had it there.

The weekend after we were engaged Jacie and I began looking for our dream venue. We wanted a barn, a big white tent, and a few vines to get the perfect photo nestled among the vineyard. When we walked on site, we looked at each other and just knew, this was where we would tie the knot! SBV was an absolute dream come true! Not only did they exceed all of our dreams and expectations, the whole staff was AMAZING! Jessica was so helpful and attentive with all of our questions and the staff on the day of took care of everything the wedding party, vendors, and guests needed. We could not have planned our dream wedding without Jessica and the staff at SBV, Jacie and I were both in grad school and all of our guests lived over 150 miles away. Jessica coordinated everything, and made the planning process a breeze! WE LOVE SBV and it is an added plus that we get to stop by the vineyard on weekends for good food and a glass of wine!

My wife and I wanted the perfect representation of us and our Rustic Romantic theme for our wedding day. We visited a few venues but fell in love with Scribner as soon as we walked into the garden. It was everything we were looking for. From the open garden ceremony space with blooming white Rose's, to the outside open cocktail area, the unbelievable reception space under the lighted tent, and beautiful barn backdrop for the dance floor and bar. From the moment I arrived to the bungalow at SBV, I was relaxed and the staff on site made sure I not only had everything I needed but they continued to check on me and make sure I knew everything was going as planned. Some staff even ran around grabbing vendors for me as I needed them. Our on-site event coordinators made sure to keep me hidden from my wife until my grand entrance. Even with the unexpected winds, the staff didn’t get bewildered they just adjusted things and kept going. We were able to utilize the preferred vendors of SBV’s and after working with them we see why they are preferred vendors, they carry the same high standards of customer service and compassion for the soon to be married couple as Scribner does. From the very first email exchange with Jessica to the day after our wedding, Jessica stayed focused on our details while reassuring us that it was going to be perfect. Scribner Bend made our wedding day easy, relaxed and picture perfect exactly the way we both imagined and wanted it to be. Huge heart felt thank you to the entire staff on scene and behind the scenes at SBV!

I might also suggest hiring someone to help clean up and pack up belongings at the end of the night, as this was the only part of the evening that didn't go as smooth as I hoped. Regardless of that, the day was absolutely perfect. I also just love going to Scribner for wine tasting, Paesanos and live music! The wine is SO delicious. Huge thank you to Jessica and the entire staff being a part of our special day!

We just completed our daughters wedding at Scribner Bend. Its a beautiful place and a perfect setting for a wedding. There are a couple of things to be wary of before signing the contract. One the beverage package is the bulk of the cost and you probably wont use it all so get the least volume you can get. It is over half the cost of the venue. In other venues you can bring your own thus being able to control the costs and what you serve. This is a negative in regards to wedding costs.Two its almost impossible to get your pictures done well before the event. They dont allow you to roam the property because its open to the public right before your wedding. So you have no privacy to get your wedding pictures done well before the event except at the bungalow which isnt very picturesque.They dont really tell you that so think through it. We did not have a good experience in that regard and our pictures were messed up because of it. You also dont have alot of set up time before the event they dont let you start until 3pm which is super rushed if you are doing it yourself.You have to pay extra for any vendors you bring in, we did use one of their vendors (a cake lady) but it wasnt that great. You only get 4 hours at the venue which is very rushed when you are spending over 10k on a wedding, so consider that as well.We also were charged for 'damages' at the bungalow and they kept our deposit, for a couple of curling iron burns. So watch your people if you rent the bungalow. We did not have a rowdy crowd so that was disappointing.Overall it is very beautiful but they do nickel and dime you all along the way and its is a very rushed experience because of it being open to the public. We just completed our daughters wedding at Scribner Bend. Its a beautiful place and a perfect setting for a wedding. There are a couple of things to be wary of before signing the contract. One the beverage package is the bulk of the cost and you probably wont use it all so get the least volume you can get. It is over half the cost of the venue. In other venues you can bring your own thus being able to control the costs and what you serve. This is a negative in regards to wedding costs.Two its almost impossible to get your pictures done well before the event. They dont allow you to roam the property because its open to the public right before your wedding. So you have no privacy to get your wedding pictures done well before the event except at the bungalow which isnt very picturesque.They dont really tell you that so think through it. We did not have a good experience in that regard and our pictures were messed up because of it. My husband and I were married at Scribner Bend last summer. I cannot say enough about this place…Most brides have one or two things that they prioritize above all else when planning their wedding. Some want the best food; others may want to put a significant amount toward their flowers, or their dress. For me, it was the venue above all else. In my opinion, the venue sets the tone for your wedding and plays a huge part in how much your guests enjoy themselves- and I was aiming to please!The venue itself is beautiful and exactly what I was looking for. They are constantly updating it and adding new features, and we were so impressed on our tour of the place. What really sold it for me was the \"Bridal Bungalow\"- the adorable old farmhouse on the property were the bride and her girls can spend all day getting ready. You can also choose to spend the night there after the wedding, which we decided to do at the last minute. I'm so glad we did. After everyone is gone you are completely alone in this beautiful house on the river- peace and privacy you'd never get if you stayed in a hotel. I woke up very early the next morning-though we were told we didn't need to rush out- and was able to watch the sunrise over the vineyards and reflect on my wonderful wedding day.What we weren't expecting when we first toured Scribner Bend was how much we'd fall in love with the people, specifically Kelley. By the end of our tour and some wine tasting it felt like we were old friends. At one point she showed us a video of other weddings that had taken place there. Although she must have seen it a thousand times, you'd never know it. She oo'ed and ahh'ed as she pointed out couples- \"They just came in to see us last week!\" \"Oh they're pregnant with twins now!\" It felt like someone was showing us videos of her family and it really struck me how much she loves seeing these happy couples and considers them family even years later. We hadn't met anyone like that at any other venue we'd toured. The day of our wedding, Kelley and her staff were there for us every step of the way and could almost sense what we needed before we did. At one point my family took a break from getting ready to go out and try to quickly set up some last minute details, only to find that Kelley and her staff had taken care of it all. After the wedding my family could not stop talking with how impressed they were with the staff and how amazing Kelley was. And our guests could not stop talking about how beautiful the venue was.Another note: The type of people who make Scribner Bend so amazing can also be found in the tasting room. Let me just say: this is not an uppity, snobby winery. Every time we've ever been in to taste, it's like a party with old friends. It's clear the staff love what they do and who they work with and they love getting to share their wine with customers.My husband and I are celebrating our one year anniversary in a few days and we will be returning to Scribner Bend this weekend to celebrate.This place and its people are amazing and I can't thank them enough for making our wedding so perfect!

First off, they do host ceremonies as well, we just decided to get married at a church. The venue is beautiful, and they let you decorate as much or as little as you want. I loved our venue. It was perfect for us and they really bailed us out of a jam when our first venue was put up for sale with 6 months to go. They recently made a lot of updates (added a fire place, put in a tent, bricked in the space under the tent, added chandeliers) and the place looked amazing on our day. We loved that tables and chairs, some lighting and a day of coordinator were included. The beverage package is a little pricey but I'm pretty sure we got our moneys worth ;) For the most part they were easy to work with. There wasn’t always consistency and communication between the event coordinators and I didn’t get to meet my day of coordinator until the day of (which made me a little nervous) but in the end everything went exceedingly well. My only complaint was that I specifically told them I did not want cars in the parking lot during the ceremony. I stressed it several times and they assured me it would be taking care of. Low and behold, as I walked from bridal cottage to the ceremony site (across said parking lot) I passed a parked car. Luckily, it didn’t show up in my pictures, but it made me nervous as to how the rest of the night was going to come together. The answer…flawlessly :) They did a beautiful job and worked with my vendors to manage every detail. I didn’t have a thing to worry about. It was a wonderful event at a beautiful location. My guests were in awe, as was I.

Our experience was incredible, the owners and staff really made us feel like we were apart of their family and that our wedding day was as important to them as it was to us. Aside from the wonderful customer service I have to say the grounds itself make the choice to have your wedding there easy! The grounds are perfect for any style. It can be easily dressed down for country-chic or dressed up for an elegant black tie affair. Also, the greenery and rose bushes add a lovely touch that will allow you to save hundreds on flowers from your florist.Another bonus, chairs are included in your site fee! It may not sound that great but if you look into chair rentals this really helps keep you on budget. My advice to couples who choose this venue would be to keep your decor simple to allow the vineyard to do the work of wow-ing your guests and Brides, rent the bungalow and get ready there with your maids! It truly made my day to eliminate the stress of getting ready off site. Plus, the bungalow makes for gorgeous getting ready shots with your photographer.

The day went so well and would not have been possible if Karen from Scribner Bend had not been available. Her and the staff kept me on time and made sure I did not have to stress. Of course you have to make the options of what flowers you want, what food options you may choose, who your DJ may be but they also make those choices easy by giving you a preferred list of vendors and the day of the crew works together so you can concentrate on yourself. It was an AMAZing day at a gorgeous place along the delta and do not miss out on their bungalow that is available to rent for day of hair & makeup prep along with staying there after the wedding.

We loved the winery when we visited, became members, and when we became engaged we knew it was going to be the ideal place for our wedding. Karen was great to work with and we felt great knowing everything was going to go smoothly. On our wedding day all the staff at Scribner were amazing. They were patient and made sure we were on schedule and worked wonderfully with our caterer and our family and friends. It is a beautiful venue and it was definitely a great day that our guests enjoyed. And it was the greatest day for me and my husband that we will always remember.

Some venues really get you with using their caterer, there by being able to charge just about whatever they want per plate. \r\rThe venue, itself, is GORGEOUS. It's kind of in the country so it's quiet. The river is on one side of the vineyard, so there's usually a good breeze. Our wedding was in Septimber, which seemed to be the perfect time of year. The grapes were big in visible, the flowers on the archers were in full bloom, and the weather was beautiful. \r\rI HIGHLY recommend this venue.

Jess Dressel (Events Director) I have been lucky enough to be part of the Scribner Bend Vineyards family for coming up on 7 years and have helped assist 100's of couples with their wedding details as they plan their weddings. I have always loved event planning and coordinated my first wedding in College, at that time I was crazy and did it completely SOLO - luckily here at SBV we have an amazing events team to implement the couples wedding vision and be hands on during their wedding day.I cherish every relationship I make at SBV and love being able to help a couple find their zen and relax when it comes to their big day!
