Here in the fresh air, couples are invited to host wedding ceremonies by the tranquil pond with up to 150 guests present. Celebratory drinks, dining, and dancing can then take place at a tented reception, allowing newlyweds and their loved ones to make the most of the setting. The venue's unique portable bar can even be set up beside the tent. Throughout the festivities, the log cabin can be used as a get-ready space for to-be-weds and their loved ones. We just had our October 2023 wedding at the Seeley Creek Cabin grounds and I can't put into words how amazing they were to work with as a team! They made the planning process incredibly easy and they were so accommodating to all of our needs. We rented out the cabin from Thursday-Sunday which included the land with it. We rented a 51x111 sailcloth tent to set up our wedding while they supplied the heat, ceremony chairs, portapotties, land, cabin, ranger rides for pickup, and so much more. It was the perfect day. They really let us have our time and space to get prepped for a large wedding of 380 people. They also supplied tables, chairs, and trash removal which was a huge stress reliever. Meet the Seeley Creek Cabin Team
Susan Schafer (Owner) My husband Tim and I run Schafer Century Barn and Schafer Barn on the Hill wedding venues near Adair, Iowa. We thought Seeley Creek Cabin would fit in perfectly, not only as a gorgeous place to stay as lodging during weddings, but as it's own venue! The trees, grounds, and pond are just stunning, and it would be an ideal spot for an outdoor ceremony and put up a tent for a reception. We also have a really unique portable bar to set up for bar service for the special occasion.
