Situated amongst the majestic beauty of the Catskills, Seven Ponds Farm is a boutique wedding location in Summit, NY. Guests can enjoy nature’s bounty from the comfort of a renovated 18th-century farmhouse, as rolling green hills undulate throughout the majestic landscape. Seven Ponds Farm offers couples a private setting for a stylish wedding celebration, blending contemporary luxury with pastoral tranquillity and fine-dining.
Seven Ponds Farm was founded by George.T. Lape, a distinguished New York City engineer who worked on many famous projects including the Brooklyn Bridge. This stately Victorian-era farmhouse has since been respectfully renovated by the Blenheim Restaurant Group who have brought their farm-to-table ethos to the estate’s catering services. In keeping with the Blenheim Group’s design-orientated philosophy, the new Seven Ponds is visually striking yet tastefully refined and reverential of its roots.
Owner, Morten Sohlberg has brought his unique vision to bear on the project, creating a rural retreat with the hip bona-fides of a downtown New York haunt. Indeed, Seven Ponds Farm eloquently balances the old and the new. Rugged wood is used throughout the interior, with focal points of clean-cut clear lines providing contrast. The effect is that of a modern, pastoral chic, which is tastefully lit throughout to heighten the venue’s sense of intimacy. The interior’s refined color palette of natural tones echo the house’s relationship with its surroundings. Seven Ponds Farm is a working farmhouse and guests will delight in encountering a variety of animals in its surrounding fields.
Seven Ponds Farm’s staff complements the property’s esteemed surroundings with over a decade and a half of events experience. Couples have a wide variety of options for their wedding day and staff will take care of the setup and cleanup of events. The venue is equipped with lighting and a sound system and because of its relative isolation guests can celebrate into the night without curfew. Most impressive, however, is the property’s much-lauded catering service which draws on talent from the Michelin-rated Blenheim restaurant in Manhattan. With a zero-mile ethos, the team uses produce from the farm to create menus of seasonal dishes packed with creativity and skill.

The location was gorgeous. We had a rainy day and we were still able to enjoy pockets of the outside space thanks to the staff’s quick pivoting and organized set up. They were incredibly friendly and accommodating, and checked in with us multiple times to ensure everything was running how we wanted it to. The food was delicious and sustainable. They even packed us some leftovers to take! Our guests felt so taken care of, they kept telling us much they loved it all. We would highly recommend this amazing venue! Reviewed on 14-10-2023

You will not find a better venue for your wedding! The experience we had at Seven Ponds was unmatched. We were able to have our entire wedding party plus significant others stay at the farmhouse Thursday - Sunday to play games and bond which was awesome! The view speaks for itself because the grounds are breathtaking! And the staff? INCREDIBLE! We could not have asked for more or been taken care of better (plus we had a pretty rowdy group that they handled beautifully). 10/10 would recommend to anyone that’s looking for beautiful views, amazing food, and a top notch wedding experience! Megan Kinmartin(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 08-10-2022 This is an amazing place for a Wedding. We looked at multiple different venues during COVID to try to plan a wedding for 2022 and this was the only venue that brought tears to my eyes. The views at peak time in the fall are breathe taking. The photo opportunities are plentiful to get amazing shots with a lot of different backgrounds. The staff at Seven Ponds go out of their way to meet your every need, and are on top of everything. Lisa, Cassie and Maria were amazing to work with– literally brought my vision to life for our wedding. They take the time to make sure everything is perfect and reinforce that things will run smoothly. The farm house adds a lot of character and Lisa and Cassie made us and our whole crew feel very welcome from the start. The barn is rustic, yet elegant and provided a beautiful place for our reception. The food and flavors that were incorporated for our rehearsal dinner and the wedding is something you experience at a high end restaurant. Our guests still talk about how delicious the meal was and ask how we found this spectacular venue as it is like nothing they have ever experienced before. We wanted a weekend wedding in an intimate setting with family and close friends, Seven Ponds made this dynamic absolutely everything we could have dreamed of and more. We plan to visit next year on our 1 year anniversary! We highly recommend this venue to anyone who is engaged and looking for a remarkable and unforgettable wedding. Reviewed on 02-02-2023

After nonstop of searching for a new venue for 14 days straight, we were bless to find the seven ponds. After contacting them, everything from there went so smoothly. They were so helpful in every way possible because of how little time we had left until the wedding. From the moment we contacted them to the wedding day, everything was perfect and they were so accommodating! In our opinion, the seven ponds beats any ballroom venue around the country because of how magical their property is. The seven ponds is so beautiful, relaxing, and amazing! Ariel Spigel(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 21-08-2021 We got married at Seven Ponds Farm in August 2021. Planning a wedding during COVID was extremely difficult and with Delta on the rise over the summer, was changing every day. Our primary goal for the wedding was for it to be safe and comfortable for our loved ones and Seven Ponds Farm helped us realize this goal. OUTDOORS: All of the events with the exception of a seated dinner were outdoors. Fortunately, the impending tropical storm held off and we had beautiful weather. We were informed and prepared for accommodations due to rain, but did not have to utilize them. The indoor space has high ceilings and open doors/windows to encourage air flow. The dance floor is set up so that people can dance indoors and outdoors and feel part of the party - this was essential for my family who LOVES dancing, but felt more comfortable outside. VACCINE/MASKS: All staff members at Seven Ponds Farm are vaccinated and eagerly obliged my request for them to wear masks during the event. Additionally, they helped me set up a rapid test table for guests to test before joining the party. LODGING: The wedding party stayed in the farmhouse on-site which was great! It has a big kitchen stocked with everything that you would need to prepare a big brunch day-of (except food). Despite anything you hear, there are SO MANY HANGERS. I panicked days before the wedding because I did not get confirmation that there were hangers for guests to use. Fear not, there are plenty! Some family stayed at the airbnb down the driveway, which was great. Most of the other guests stayed at the Super8 in Cobleskill, which worked out fine!FOOD: Delicious. Truly. Good food was a huge part of our wedding must-haves and Seven Ponds did NOT disappoint.STAFF: All of the event staff were marvelous. They were so present and helpful, anticipating our needs and providing a calming energy. Amazing people. COMMUNICATION: Communication was easy via email in the months leading up to the event, but very difficult in the week before the wedding. Despite us asking about payment for extras/add ons in the weeks leading up to the wedding with no response, we received an email three days before the wedding regarding a payment that needed to be wired immediately (different from previous Zelle payments), and that we couldn’t have the pre-wedding meeting until they received the payment. This was insanely stressful and unnecessary given that we had been asking about additional payments for a couple weeks. I was unable to speak with anyone on the phone and never received a response to my disgruntled/panicked email. We were able to wire the money and have the meeting, but the process of getting there was awful. ACCESSIBILITY: The venue is set up with accessibility in mind and can drive guests with limited mobility to all areas of the wedding. Reviewed on 13-12-2021

Beth Greenberg(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 31-08-2019 Seven Ponds Farm was an absolutely stunning location. All of the guests are still talking about the wedding and it’s been a few months. We first visited the farm back in 2018 and at the time it was a work in progress as the owners had recently purchased the venue. For us we wanted a view, a bonfire and NO curfew or noise restrictions which is really tough to find. We wanted our guests to literally dance the night away - and they did! They assured us that a year later it would be above and beyond and they were right. We chose to rent the farmhouse for my family and it was genius to be able to stay right there for the weekend. House sleeps 20 (I think) so we had plenty of space. We hosted our rehearsal dinner there in the little barn so the guests weren’t spoiled the surprise of the reception location. The on site Manager Jab was AWESOME. He took care of everything we needed all weekend and made sure I was happy. I didn’t have a planner so it was really great to have their team because it was an added bonus. The location can be tricky with weather and the team was prepped to take care of any last minute weather interruptions too which was so great. Literally took all my worries away. The view at the ceremony site is magnificent. There is not another building in site and it’s just so special - so quiet and so breathtaking. It’s a total pain to get to but once you’re there you realize quickly why and almost immediately forget about having to navigate to get there.Cocktail hour was over under a tent near the garden and the planetarium. Yes they have one but the telescope is complicated so don’t make that a must have. The service was impeccable. Period. And, there is a huge staff working so everyone is taken care of.The food was outstanding and vegans and meat eaters alike were able to eat and be stuffed. I was able to select a beverage package that was perfect for us too. Seating was also flex. We were super easy when it came to a schedule and even still Jab and the team kept everything running along smoothly reading the room and choreographing the evening as it progressed. The bonfire was EPIC. I would 100% request that and the S’mores bar.It was a magical weekend and honestly I would love to recreate it over and over again. We had guests there from 4:30pm-2am and there were so many awesome spots to hang at the guests had constant change of scenery. Highly recommend if you want something all your own and with a lot of freedom to personalize. Reviewed on 28-01-2020
Corryn Wermel(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 22-06-2019 I cannot say enough about our wedding and experience with Seven Ponds Farm. Among many things, Erik and I are foodies and environmentalists, and Seven Ponds Farm represents those two aspects flawlessly. The forethought that owners Min and Morten put into every detail of Seven Ponds, is what makes this place truly unique. From the gorgeous vistas, to the handcrafted details of the farmhouse, every aspect has been carefully planned to make for a dream come true venue. Once you fall in love with the venue, and can’t imagine having your wedding anywhere else, it only gets better. I tend to be slightly OCD, and detail orientated, and I think have met my match in Carol! I did not stress nor worry at any point through the planning process! Carol knows what she is doing and took care of everything! She walked me through every detail until I was happy, and even brought up things I wouldn’t have thought of. I cannot express how much I enjoyed working with her! She is a gem, with a great sense of humor, and an ease about her. I don’t think that I could pick out my one favorite part of our wedding, but if I had to, the food definitely would be towards the top of that list! So many weddings I have been to, is the same dried out chicken, and over sauced meat. Fortunately, you will not find anything like that at Seven Ponds! Just the opposite, you and your guest will think you are eating at an elegant 5-star restaurant. The food is delectable, unique, and full of flavor. Our guest kept saying “This is real food.” And I could not agree more, it’s a real farm to table experience for your taste buds. And the marzipan cake (drool), is the perfect ending to your meal. It is just the right amount of sweetness, while still being light and airy. If the incredible team, and food weren’t enough the venue itself is picturesque. Set among gorgeous views of the mountains, valleys and ponds, everywhere you look is a treat for your eyes. The renovated barn is just as spectacular, with the kayak chandelier and the handmade wooden tables and chairs. One last added perk, Mina! She is a love! She along with Carol made sure everything was taken care, and all the details were in place. This even include freshly made berry muffins delivery in the morning while we were staying at the farmhouse. I cannot overstate the rustic sophistication of this venue, and Min and Morten and their team. Every need from beginning to end was met. If you are looking for a wedding venue, contact Min and Morten at Seven Ponds. Reviewed on 04-11-2019
Stephanie Hesselbarth(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 21-09-2019 I first want to start out by stating my husband and I picked Seven Ponds Farm before the venue was finished. I initially contacted Blenheim Hill Farm, to learn that, that venue was a little too large for our needs, but the owners (Min and Morton) were opening up a sister venue not too far from Blenheim. When you are picking a venue (especially when it isn’t finished) you need to have a lot of faith in the staff, which we did. It also helped that the view was out of this world spectacular. A bit of a breakdown of my thoughts and overall experience:VENUE COORDINATIONA big thing they helped us with was vendor coordination. We worked with Carol up until our 2-week check-in, that’s when we met the day of staff and coordinators (Jab and Sylwia). Jab and Sywia took over coordinating with our band, photographer, transportation and more, making it so we didn't have to worry about a thing the day of, which was honestly a big surprise and huge relief how much they did the day of the wedding. On the day of, things went absolutely flawlessly. We were stunned, mainly because nearly everyone we knew had hiccups or problems – if we did, we never became aware of it. Jab and Sylwia had everything flowing smoothly and took all the pressure off us. There were also a ton of pleasant surprises along the way – Sylwia surprised me with muffins and mimosas. She also found carrots so my mom could feed the horses on site (my mom was obsessed)!VENUEThe venue was fantastic. As mentioned, we saw it under construction, and didn’t see it again until the day of, and it blew our expectations away. The reception area is as beautiful as the landscape, and all of our guests (108) were comfortable. I think the venue states they could fit up to 140 people, but I think that might be a little tight, I thought the number of people we have fit well, and everyone was still comfortable. The food was fantastic, and we had several tell us that the short rib was some of the best they'd ever had. FINAL THOUGHTSTo be frank, as you get towards the wedding day, you start looking at the amount your spending and wondering if it's all going to be worth it. We can say that without a doubt Seven Ponds was worth every penny, for the venue, food, and the great staff who helped us through our day. Can't recommend it enough. Reviewed on 26-10-2019

Our Seven Pondswedding exceeded every expectation. The setting is just beautiful – impossible to get a badpicture with the farm as a backdrop. The farmhouse suited our bridal party to a T. Everyonehad plenty of room, the well-equipped kitchen made it easy to feed our crew on the Fridaybefore and the Saturday of the wedding. We enjoyed a delicious barbecue buffet after ourrehearsal and family and bridal party gathered around the bonfire with s’mores afterward. Themorning of the wedding, the amazing team (more about them later) doted on us with mimosasand freshly baked muffins. The wedding ceremony went off without a hitch – timing wasperfect. And the cocktail hour and reception flew by way too fast. Guests were in awe of thefood and the setting in the barn. Our Sunday morning brunch on the porch was the perfect wayto close out a perfect weekend.Kudos, applause, and many, many thanks to team leaders, Slywia & Jab – not sure they slept at allover the weekend! They were patient, kind, cheerful, and full of good humor. They kept everythingrunning smoothly and seemed to be in six different places at once. Keeping up the same pacewere the rest of the staff. We also must mention our bartender extraordinaire forthe weekend, Greg! He managed to stay on top of everyone’s particular order and made everyguest feel welcome and catered to. We also know there were many others who maintained thebarn, the farmhouse, chefs and others who served our party – everyone was wonderful. We booked our wedding just after Min and Morton purchased the farm – it wasn’t finishedwhen we first saw it. They had a beautiful vision of what they wanted to create and webenefited from the realization of that vision! Their commitment to ensuring bride, groom, family, and guests was clear when they were there to greet us on Friday and stopped in at thereception on Saturday. Be able to do the pre wedding planning of food tastings, meetings, etc at their restaurant in NYC was extremely helpful, as that's where we are based. Janna Haehl(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 24-08-2019 To start, we were in a relationship with Seven Ponds Farm. We recommend that when choosing a wedding venue, you go into it with that mindset. The people you are working with matter dramatically. I can say that everyone in the Seven Ponds Family was a joy to work with and was extremely accommodating! We started working with Min and Morton 15 months before our wedding. We choose them for the level of professionalism, perfectionism, flexibility, and kindness that they offered our massive family and our dietary restrictions. From 20 family members staying with us at the house, to gluten-free, dairy-free, nut-free, and vegan options to a desire for craft cider, no curfew, and day-of help they EXCEEDED every expectation of our wedding weekend. No single detail was overlooked. We worked with Jab and Danyelle on the weekend and day of and they were EXCEPTIONAL! I have never worked with two people that read our minds more, executed on our agreed upon vision (and then some) and did so with kindness, grace, and attention to every detail. Going into it, I was a bit scared by some of my friends’ recent weddings where they had a “day of coordinator” that the venue provided, so my expectation was that I needed to really be on top of everything. Jab and Danyelle proved me wrong, and were excellent beyond words and flawlessly executed every inch of our weekend. I have only words of gratitude. From the moment we arrived at the venue on Thursday the staff was prepared to help us. We had to relocate our dinner plans for Thursday night for about 30 people. Danyelle and Jab, with a couple hours notice, called around and found the perfect place for our family and guests. On Friday at our rehearsal, they worked out the ceremony kinks and offered advice on things they had seen work well in the past. The gave useful and thoughtful input, without being overbearing in any way. On Saturday, they executed every detail to an exact science. Danyelle even went above and beyond to bake gluten-free muffins for the bridal party the morning of! Our evening was perfect. There was nothing that went wrong, nothing missed, and no detail left unexecuted. It was insane. When people ask me how our weekend was I literally say it was perfect. Many of those who were there comment about how beautiful the setting was, how good the food was, and how professional and smooth everything went. We really felt like we were getting the best restaurant quality food, as opposed to typical wedding catering. 10/10 all around for the Seven Ponds Team!!! Reviewed on 26-09-2019
Emily Russel(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 02-09-2019 What a gorgeous, intimate venue! My family knew the last 2 couples to live on this property, so we know the area and the property very well. While I hate to encourage people to go out into the more remote areas of the Catskills (I do prefer conservation), this venue was truly everything I had hoped for and more. First of all, the property is gorgeous. Rolling hills and dark mountains in the background; ponds and wild flowers in the foreground - absolutely stunning. There are chickens, cows and sheep for the city folks to fawn over & the areas for rehearsal dinner, reception and cocktails are adorable, cozy and lit so romantically. There's a spectacular view every way you look! The farmhouse is also wonderful. Each room was comfortable and nicely decorated - the house its self is large without being echo-y and small without being claustrophobic. It felt just like home! Plus, it's connected directly to the barn where the reception is, which was incredibly convenient particularly for those in high heels...Secondly, the staff. Every one of them was so attentive, kind, considerate & helpful! They went above and beyond to make sure everything happened the way we wanted (even if we didn't know it). We're not a particularly needy couple, but we were taken aback by their generosity! They were all so friendly and communicative - it was excellent. Shout out to Jab and Danielle for their spectacular efforts - keeping close track of the weather (it was rainy) and making sure we could have the ceremony outside while ensuring that Plan B was set up and ready to go! We ended up doing the ceremony outdoors as planned, once the skies cleared and the rest of the evening was like a fairy-tale. The planning leading up to the wedding was very helpful. The staff at Seven Ponds met us at their sister restaurant in Manhattan (Blenheim) for the initial briefing, food tasting & other meetings to iron out details. They were always accommodating and made sure the whole check list was accounted for. They provided all the documents we needed to plan out the dinner, the farmhouse room allocations and more! It was all a bit overwhelming for me - I'm really not the \"typical\" bride and was at times uncomfortable with the attention & detailed questions- but the team was thorough and I appreciate that more. Thirdly, the food was outstanding. The hor d'oeuvres, the dinner, the after party tacos, the EVERYTHING was absolutely DELICIOUS. I wish I hadn't been so busy so that I could have enjoyed it all more. Seriously tho, if you're thinking about doing the late night snacks, CHOOSE THE TACOS. Holy hell they were amazing...All in all, this place was excellent. I had a delightful wedding - couldn't have been happier with how everything turned out :) Reviewed on 06-09-2019

Robert S(parent)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 22-06-2019 Words can not begin to explain and do justice the most incredible venue experience created by owners Min and Mort, and the attention to detail provided by their on site staff headed by Carol, Mina and Tim. Arriving on Thursday, we rented the farmhouse for 20 guests. Everything you need is provided and it is a great place for children. Feeding the animals each morning certainly was a unique experience shared by all the little ones. The wedding venue is perfectly set to stunning views of the mountains, valleys and ponds. The cocktail hour was set off in another area with equally breath taking vistas, matched only by the eclectic selection of appetizers offered. Scores of guests commented of how different and full of flavors the hors d'ouevre were. And there was no shortage of appetizers. When you think it can't get any better - it does. Moving from the outside scene to the interior of the renovated barn led us into an astonishing atmosphere of dining and dancing. The kayak light fixture provided elegant illumination that shimmered through glassware, reflected off the china and sparkled in the silverware. You were in a sophisticated 5 Star venue, in the middle of the most picturesque natural settings imaginable. And the best was to come. The sit down dinner was as elegant as you will ever have. Again, guest after guest commented on how this was the best wedding dinner they were ever served. When properly prepared, there is no comparison to farm to table food preparation, and this was properly prepared, fresh and delicious. The food served was delectable beyond words. The service staff was impeccable, refined and attentive. Your each and every need was addressed before you could ask for it. Every seat in the barn had a spectacular view of the valley and the barn fire, that we would highly recommend. If you were not dining on sophisticated cuisine, you were either dancing, enjoying the barn fire or playing outdoor games. The children could come and go, were thoroughly entertained and probably had a time as good and enjoyable as the adults. Our only regret - 4 hours was not enough. The night could have lasted forever. As we had family and friends from all over the country, we decided on the Sunday Brunch. Just when you thought it could not get any better - Wow! It does. If this was the wedding dinner it would have been magnificent, as a brunch it was unparalleled. Everything was farm fresh; ham, sausage, eggs, fruit, salad, homemade muffins and pastries, omelets and maybe one of the best coffees ever served. A fitting finale to a most glorious weekend for the wedding of our daughter and son in law. Please do not misunderstand, our most important and revered time of the weekend was the wedding ceremony for Corryn and Erik. And in all honesty everything else was secondary to their vows and beginning their life together. Yet it was somehow fitting that the staff of the Seven Ponds put an exclamation point on their celebration. We can say unequivocally, that if you are looking for the most pristine venue, amazing food and a staff that will best any, then you need to immediately contact Min and Mort at the Seven Ponds to begin your planning. Once you select your date, then the most detailed arrangements are initiated with Carol and her staff. Neither you, your guests or most important, the bride and groom will be disappointed, and they will be treated to the most incredible beginning to the rest of their life. Reviewed on 23-07-2019
Ellen Lefkowitz(parent)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 06-10-2018 I cannot say enough about our family's experience this past weekend at Seven Ponds Farm for my daughter's wedding. From our first meeting with owners Min and Morton, and our Event Manager Fredrik, there was no doubt we made the right decision. They were incredibly easy to work with as we Planned the wedding that fit our vision and budget; the venue is nothing short of spectacular. Min and Morton leave nothing to chance and are extremely hands on. Fredrik was incredible from start to finish, as was the entire staff, but he went above and beyond with not only my daughter but my elderly mom and ALL of the guests. The farmhouse was perfect for the bridal party's sleeping accommodations as well as day of prep! My guests are just amazed at the level of care and attention Fredrik and the staff paid to everyone at the wedding. All of the guests had the time of their life! I cannot recommend Seven Ponds Farm enough from the setting to the food and everything in between, it will add a level of spectacular to your once in a lifetime day! Reviewed on 11-10-2018
Drew Halpern(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 26-08-2018 We held our rehearsal dinner at the Seven Ponds House and also had the bridal party stay there for the weekend. The team went above and beyond to make our experience a complete dream. The newly updated barn is stunning and the food is delicious! All of our guests were blown away by the staff, the beautiful grounds and the special touches like lawn games and a fire by the pond. What an incredible place to share with your friends and family. The house has plenty of space for large parties and gave us a chance to all stay together, instead of splitting off to different hotel rooms. We really enjoyed the \"getting ready\" room in the bridal suite because the entire bridal party could hang out in there together on the big day and then travel to their sister property, Blenheim Hill Farm, for the wedding. We loved our stay!! Reviewed on 07-09-2018
Leila Park(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 18-08-2018 5.0 Words can't express how amazing our wedding weekend was, and it is all thanks to the incredible dream team at Seven Ponds Farm. As the new sister farm of the well-known Blenheim Hill Farm property, we knew right away that we were in great hands. We visited the not-yet completed Seven Ponds Farm in the middle of the freezing winter in January with snow/ice covering everything, but Min and Morten's vision for this farm was so clear, we fully trusted that they would execute. And by golly, did they deliver!!! We are SO thrilled that we trusted this team with our wedding (1st wedding held at Seven Ponds!), because it was absolutely a dream come true. The site for the ceremony has the most breathtaking view of the mountains. All the guests are facing the beautiful birch arch with the large pond right in front, with mountains in the back scenery. It's something out of a fairytale book! They have a beautiful walkway around the perimeter of the pond where the bride makes the grand entrance. The barn was absolutely beautiful as well with a nice rustic yet modern look. They have the entire table and chair setup, along with tableware, so you have nothing to worry about there! The food was off the charts and multiple guests commented that this was the best food they've ever had at a wedding. I also recommend you stay at the farmhouse for the weekend, as that was the icing on the cake with family and wedding party getting to know each other and hang out all weekend. It was the absolute best. The venue and the team (Min, Morten, Carol, Fredrik) make Seven Ponds a dream. I'm certain it will only be a matter of time before this place gets so popular that there will be a waitlist, so we are absolutely honored to have been first and to share this experience with them.Leila & James Reviewed on 29-08-2018
