A Timeless Wedding Venue in the Shenandoah Valley
Located in the heart of Luray, VA is the Shawnee Farms Estate wedding venue. This historic house exudes the charm and refinement of old Virginia with its elegant appearance. With 150-acres of lush grass and panoramic views of National Park mountains, couples will have the beauty of nature at their fingertips. Shawnee Farms Estate was constructed in the 19th century as a large family home. During its development, the men had to go off to fight a war. The woman who stayed back ended up completing the home in 1863. For years the house stood as a beautiful home where memories were created. The property also contains many historic relics from The Shawnee tribe and hidden artifacts from the war. In 2018, the house was revitalized to boast its original glory from when it was first built. It maintains its historic character, but also contains modern amenities for optimal comfort. The house now offers a fully functional kitchen, washrooms, and large dining areas. Couples may use both the indoor and outdoor spaces to host their wedding celebration. The secluded property offers many serene and beautiful areas where ceremonies and receptions may take place. Gazebos and gardens found outside provide a scenic setting to exchange vows. From here, a 360 view of the Blue Ridge and Massanutten Mountains can be seen. For indoor space, the barn located on the property offers two levels of event space. Fire pits and garden seating is also located by the building and provides a romantic environment for love to be celebrated. Shawnee Farms Estate has multiple wedding packages available that suit different budgets and needs. The on-site staff is dedicated to creating smooth and memorable experiences for each couple and their guests. The venue also comes prepared with tables, seating, and linens. We found Shawnee Farms Estate while looking for a wedding venue in the Shenandoah Valley. As we pulled up and saw the 360 views of mountains we knew we found a special place. The estate house was perfectly maintained with old fashioned luxury and the property offered so many diverse ceremony sites. Our wedding turned out to be our best day ever. Guests loved the scenery and charm from another time. The staff was so easy to work with from day 1 and did everything possible to make this day so special for us. We wish we could do it all over again.

Our wedding was nothing short of amazing. The venue, the farmhouse on site, the staff, the VIEWS.. Everything was exceptional. Katherine's team worked wonders and I could not have asked for a better experience. I'd redo it all again just to work with the ladies once more. We love you guys!!

Katherine, Naomi and the team were so incredible! They saw our vision for our wedding and helped make it come to life. I am so grateful that they understood exactly what we wanted. The grounds at Shawnee are just incredibly beautiful, I cannot wait to see our pictures. This place is idyllic and the house to stay in is so charming. Great responsiveness by Katherine and her team, I highly recommend Shawnee Farms Estates, and we will definitely be coming back for a visit.

We reserved the Inn at Shawnee Estates for our daughter's fiance's family (16 people) since we booked their wedding in Luray Caverns and reception at the Shawnee Estates' Barn. The inn is beautiful decorated, comfortable, and very clean. Perfect for wedding guests, family reunions, ... The barn is perfect for a reception! Our Venue Director, Katherine Spain, was terrific to work with! She listened to what we had in mind, and offered ideas and suggestions. She and her team worked their magic from organizing the wedding itself, to decorating the Barn, and making sure the reception was memorable! Everything was so very beautiful! Every guest commented how lovely this venue was!

Shawnee Farms Estates is a truly magical place for a wedding. Our wedding was on the grounds by the farmhouse on June 5th, 2021 and it was absolutely gorgeous. There are so many options for where to have the ceremony and reception that you can make your entire day personalized to exactly what you want! Katherine, the property manager, is so kind and works very hard to make sure you're happy with how it all comes together. She stayed in constant communication through COVID-19, and she was very open to any idea I had for my special day. Everything came together exactly how my husband and I had envisioned...and then some! We owe a big part of how it all came together to Katherine and the team at Shawnee! THEY REALLY CARE.

My husband and I can't stop telling everyone how amazing was our wedding, and how important was Shawnee Farms Estate & LCC Staff in the making of such an amazing wedding. Katherine Spain and Co definitely went above and beyond helping us to make our dreams come true, the caves are a truly magical place that needed no decoration to bring out it's true brilliance. We went for the full package, that included the cave ceremony, the barn for reception, and the Airbnb for the bridal party; and that was the best decision. Not only was the ceremony at the cave magical, but the whole weekend turned into an amazing celebration that all our friends and family couldn't stop talking about, thanks to the accommodation at the Shawnee Estate Farm and Luray Caverns. We would 100% recommended this place to make your perfect wedding dreams come true.
