Samantha Santmyers(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 11-06-2022 We got married at Shenandoah Valley Golf Club on June 11, 2022 and it was an overall great experience. There are two houses on property that you can rent to get ready in and both provide opportunities for great getting ready pictures. There are two ceremony sites and both are beautiful. We got married on the one with a concert pad. Originally there was a fence that blocked the parking lot, but due to an accident the fence feel down. The venue is not replacing the fence, but instead having natural greenery grown up to block the parking lot from view. We believe this resulted in even better pictures than if the fence still would’ve been there! The wedding coordinators there are great to work with and very flexible. The biggest highlight of having your wedding here is the FOOD! Our guest are still raving about how good dinner was. We are so glad we had our ceremony and reception here. Compared to the other venues we looked at and have attended weddings at, this one is by far the best in the Shenandoah valley! Reviewed on 16-07-2022
Alyssa Frazier(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 30-05-2021 This location is gorgeous, with two beautiful outdoor ceremony locations to select from. There are two houses to rent on-site which makes finding a location to get ready at and/or stay the night of your wedding painless. Janet and Rhonda are AMAZING to work with. They are both incredibly nice, respectful, accommodating, and easily adjust wherever needed. The food portions are incredible for the reception and they go above and beyond to create a nice dining experience for your vendors by the DJ/band stage so that they also feel like they are part of the wedding (please always feed your vendors, newlyweds-to-be). We will never forget the amazing memories we made here. Reviewed on 02-06-2021
Darian McCormick(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 19-06-2021 Great service! Professional, kind, and understandingShenandoah Valley Golf Club was so great to work with for our wedding. From booking to coordinating the day of schedule, Janet Maucione (Events & Catering Coordinator) has been professional, responded quickly, and answered any questions. Being affordable is a bonus but their great service makes using SVGC the best choice. When we had to reschedule just two weeks before our original date, Janet was so understanding and helped us find a new date. I'm so glad that we were able to finally get married at SVGC. The staff were friendly and attentive. They worked well with my other vendors. The views of the mountains are gorgeous! Guests are still raving about the portions and taste of the food. Being able to stay onsite the night before and of the wedding was so convenient. This is a premiere venue in the Shenandoah Valley for anyone looking for their dream wedding with mountain views, great food and drinks, and an awesome event team that cares about YOUR day. Danielle Moyer(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 16-09-2017 I cannot say enough good things about the staff at SVGC! We got married on 9/16/17 and the wedding was better than anything I could have ever imagined. We booked the venue a year in advance and Janet was extremely helpful in that entire time leading up to our wedding; answering my questions in a timely manner, providing suggestions based off of her experiences with so many other weddings, and she was just so accommodating and friendly. She was an absolute joy to work with! The execution the day of the wedding was flawless! My guests continually rave about how everything went off without a hitch. The staff made sure that we stuck to our timeline and they were all was so professional and friendly. And the food! I still have guests reaching out to me to tell me that the crab cakes were the best they have ever had. All crab and no filler! Everything was delicious! What I love most about using SVGC as our venue is that it was truly a one-stop shop and made wedding planning so much easier. They have both a ceremony and reception site, they take care of the catering (food and alcohol), they already have the tables, chairs, plates, linens, etc. so you may not have to rent anything, it’s a picture perfect location nestled in the valley with mountains in the background, and not to mention the Fairview House was the perfect place for the bridal party to get ready the day of the wedding. We rented the house for the weekend and my groom and his groomsmen all spent the night there the night before the wedding and then the day of the wedding, they stayed downstairs and me and my bridesmaids stayed upstairs and got dressed. Not to mention that after the wedding, my parents even stayed at the house. It was so convenient! So if you’re looking for your wedding venue, look no further! It’s everything you could ever want and more! Reviewed on 07-11-2017
Jacinta Whittaker(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 26-04-2014 My husband and I were very pleased with this venue chosen for our wedding reception in April 2014. The site is a beautiful, elegant, and hospitable facility located among the green rolling hills of the Shenandoah valley, with wonderful views through the many surrounding windows. The manager, Janet, was very helpful, professional, and easy to work with. The dinner was delicious and nicely served by polite staff in tux shirts. We also rented outside linens, bought a cake and other desserts, brought in flowers, and hired a DJ, all of which worked well into this venue. Reviewed on 19-07-2016

Anonymous (parent)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 09-12-2016 My daughter was married in August of 2015, and the reception was held at Shenandoah Valley Golf Club. The facility is top notch and the staff does an excellent job. The banquet manager has been with them for a long time and is extremely competent at planning and managing an event of more than a hundred people. She had it planned down to the minute and the reception ran like clockwork. No detail was overlooked. The food was excellent and the presentation and service was stellar. \r\rOne of the nice features of this venue is the Fairview House, which is a bed and breakfast located on the grounds. I booked it for the entire weekend and we were able to use it for the bride and groom and a couple of out of town guests. We were also able to host a small reception for family and close friends in the public room of the Fairview House. This made a nice event even nicer.\r\rOverall, I was very satisfied the club. In fact, I had several people tell me that ours was the best wedding reception they had ever attended. The mountain views are spectacular, the event space is beautiful and the staff was wonderful. Janet, the banquet manager, was extremely on top of everything throughout the entire planning process, and on the night of the reception, she handled everything so well! We are thrilled with the event and our guests were wowed by the entire event. The food was very delicious, too! I'd highly recommend this venue for anyone wanting to capture the charm of the Shenandoah Valley. Plus, the terrace provides an opportunity for people to enjoy the outdoors if the weather is nice, but the view is just as pretty if you're inside. Thanks for a dream wedding reception, SVGC! Lauren Clark(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 11-10-2014 The venue is beautiful. We had both our wedding ceremony and reception at Shenandoah Valley Golf Club. The outdoor space is stunning for a wedding ceremony, with the historic Fairview House as the backdrop for your special day. The banquet room is spacious and beautiful, with a lovely terrace overlooking the mountains. The room had tons of space for guests to enjoy dinner, as well as a very large area for dancing. (Unlike some places, that put a tiny removable dance floor in a ballroom-- half the room at SVGC is wood floor, perfect for dancing!) Everyone complimented the venue.\rAlso the FOOD was amazing. Our guests said it was the best food they had ever had at a wedding. Some even said it was the best steak they had ever had, period.\rHighly recommended!! Reviewed on 29-10-2014
Jessica Kidd(bride)1 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 06-06-2015 This establishment is ridiculous. My husband and I set our date for 6.19.2015 and put the deposit down which was $1,400. 00 more than a year in advance. Today we contacted the club and let them know that they were expecting in may 2015 and would need to cancel since our priorities have changed. I asked if we could have our very large deposit back since we need to focus our financial responsibility to our very unexpected child. I received an email back that told us we could NOT get our deposit back since they have turned away people for our spot. June 19th is a Friday and when she showed us her calender for next year almost every weekend was available. I am extremely disappointed because this place and the people we've met here didn't seem to be so heartless. We are now out $1,400.00 and I'm not at all ok with that. \r\rSo here's an update since my last review.: \r\rI received another email from Janet that said she would talk to the owner, this was Monday. After no responses to my emails I called today (Friday) and was told that she did speak to the owner and the lady who sends out formal letters will be emailing me a letter today 8.29.2014 I flat out asked, will I be getting our deposit back? Her response \"it's a no\"! \r\rI WILL SAY THIS AGAIN AND YOU CAN DO WHAT YOU WANT, DO NOT USE THEM!! Waste of time, the deposit it way too much to lose. God forbid you get pregnant and don't want to walk down the aisle as a whale, or something tragic happens. This organization is basically robbing us of our money for a service they did NOT provide. I'm suppose to be enjoying this pregnancy but instead I'm stressing because I'm going to have to go to court. Janet was so nice and seemed to generally care about what we wanted.... Now that we have to cancel its funny to see how that changed. The attitude and rudeness we received it absurd, especially for someone who is stealing our money. The venue is not even work a $1,400 deposit. Reviewed on 25-08-2014

The club is located in the Shenandoah Valley of Virginia and is BEAUTIFUL. They have a porch that overlooks the mountains which all of my guests loved. I am an event coordinator myself and very detail oriented and Janet was ALWAYS available for even the smallest concerns. She is so thoughtful and made me feel like I was the only bride she was working with. She went above and beyond to make sure everything went smoothly and she is there for the wedding to oversee everything. I didn't even need a coordinator. The food was fantastic! We had the NY strip and the salmon. I had so many guests tell us how good it was and the service was wonderful as well. Our wedding was PERFECT and all of our guests raved about Shenandoah and still do. \r\rWith how affordable the pricing is, I honestly thought that there HAD to be something I would be compromising.
