We had a great time with our people from the Sheraton. They let us come in the night before and get everything set up for the day of. They were very helpful with getting all of our other vendors taken care of and got things done. I would have to say the reason it was not a 5 star rating was because they were not very good at checking in throughout the process. A call once a month would have been nice to check if there were any questions or changes to anything. Another reason was the wedding coordinator was not there all night so the things we had discussed did not get passed along to the person in charge of the ballroom. I did make them aware of this since and it will be added to how they do things now. Overall it was a great experience and would recommend this place. Plus the food was great.

We are so happy with our suite we booked for the day before and night of our wedding! It was gorgeous. We used Sheraton Bloomington for room blocks and all our guests were very impressed. The only negative was we were not able to use the shuttle to and from our venue because it was not available on our day. We were told that if we booked a certain number of nights, we would have the shuttle for free the day of our wedding. We were told later that we were not able to even though we had surpassed the number of booked nights we needed to guarantee it. This was a huge reason we picked this hotel so it was a let down. We ended up contracting with Uber to have our out of state guest who did not have cars be able to be transported on our wedding day. Other than that, the hotel was fantastic!

Really easy group to work with, and found through hotel wire. The rooms were clean, and decent pricing for our group. The only part I did not enjoy was the bridal suite - the windows overlooked the lobby, and it was dark and dreary. They have some cool bridal suite options, however it was very expensive, but very fun!

When initially booking this hotel, I was told that after booking a certain number of rooms, we would get a shuttle to drive guests back & forth to the venue. I was blindsided when I was told that the shuttle was not available. With two weeks to go to the wedding, that was not good news to hear as a bride. Unfortunately, it took escalating this problem to the supervisor before any movement towards a solution occurred - and ended up being insufficient in the end. I would NOT recommend booking this hotel if you're interested in a shuttle to your wedding venue. The event coordinator Kate was of minimal help.

The ballroom at the Sheraton-Bloomington is amazing. The lighting is great the ceiling is beautiful and the overall effect of the room is quite stunning. The serving staff there is fabulous! They're very nice and extremely competent and very easy to talk to. They are also flexible and willing to work with your ideas. My husband and I didn't want a typical reception at all and the dance was far from our focus. But there is enough room even in a third of the ballroom to play around with the layout of the room in order to create the atmosphere you desire.;I was not at all impressed with our catering manager. She wasn't unpleasant or mean or anything but she was a little awkward to talk to and she took forever to get back to my mom and I with answers to our questions. Also we had huge problems (initially) with booking rooms. Our initial catering manager set it up one way for us (it worked perfectly) but then she quit and when the new woman came along we were no longer in the system. It took three or four phone calls from my mom before this problem was finally resolved. So know that it WAS taken care of but this was a rather large problem initially.
