My now husband proposed to me while at Ocean Point at the Sheraton Kauai Resort, one night after the luau. It was pitch black and I was guided there under the ruse of looking at the starts. When we went back the next morning, it hit me that it would be the perfect wedding spot for something small and low key.Our original plan was to elope, but it quickly became evident, a few family and friends were going to be joining us regardless, so I needed to plan something a little more involved.The non-negotiable was getting married on the property's Ocean Point. I knew I wanted a dinner for our guests, but wanted to take advantage of the beautiful scenery. The team worked with me and got creative to host a dinner on the restaurant's lawn which was something fairly new for them. In all, the whole process was pretty easy! Once booked, we checked in at the 90 day mark to make meal selections, and at the 30 day mark to confirm headcount and choices! And you have to love an event coordinator, who keeps emailing you all along the way on how to potentially save a few dollars!What most impressed me most and will forever stay with me, is just how special I was made to feel. I knew a 14 person wedding was a small blip in the annual revenue plan, but I was made to feel that my small, intimate wedding was just as important as a 150 guest wedding! The attentiveness and care will stay with me as one of the most special memories of my wedding week.

I had my wedding at the Sheraton Kauai on May 28th, 2023 and I can’t recommend this venue enough! Everyone was not only extremely professional, but warm and inviting. It was almost like being welcomed by family. To my point of contact Mindy and to my bartenders, servers and other staff at the reception dinner: THANK YOU. You all gave me my dream wedding and I can’t thank you enough. I highly recommend the Sheraton to any bride who is looking for an amazing destination wedding venue!

I had my wedding at the Sheraton Kauai on May 28th, 2023 and I can’t recommend this venue enough! Everyone was not only extremely professional, but warm and inviting. It was almost like being welcomed by family. To my point of contact Mindy and to my bartenders, servers and other staff at the reception dinner: THANK YOU. You all gave me my dream wedding and I can’t thank you enough. I highly recommend the Sheraton to any bride who is looking for an amazing destination wedding venue!

We were so pleased with the help in planning, the service we received, the delicious food and the helpful onsite staff for our outdoor wedding rehearsal dinner. Mindy, the event manager, provided an immediate solution to sound system issues we experienced until that vendor was able to arrive and fix things. What was so amazing was how EASY everything was in getting room blocks, prepping for the dinner and having a good time. The outdoor setting was terrific and so beautiful. The beach, the palm trees, the sunset. Everything was worth every dime we paid.-- Bob Longino

We had the most beautiful wedding at this venue. It was a gorgeous setting with lava rocks & an ocean backdrop. My favorite part of this location was the intimate setting away from beach goers. They taped it off, set up chairs & a water station, and had a bridal entry area. Mindy Rosser was the BEST to work with. She communicated well every step of the way & the day of the event was fabulous! We had a dinner at Rumfire with delicious food & excellent service. The Sheraton treated us special on arrival, the package included rooms & other perks which we loved. You have to contract with a wedding planner separately for the officiant, photography, music, florals, etc. But that was easy also. We LOVED our wedding In beautiful Kauai at the Sheraton!

I searched and searched for the perfect venue! Sheraton Kauai Resort from the pictures was spectacular! Chelsea was the first person I dealt with even as BUSY as she is she still never rushed us off the phone and would always answer our questions. Then the next was Mindy and Kelli. They are absolutely amazing and helpful for a first time bride. The venue was beautiful the ocean view room we stayed in was amazingly beautiful! The FOOOOOOD was soooo good my guest are still talking about the braising Short rib, crab cake and alll the other food lol. They was beyond helpful through the whole process. As many questions as I had they NEVER got frustrated with me or bothered by my question, phone calls or emails. I highly recommend them! You will thank me later! The sunrise and Sunsets are amazing!

The Sheraton was an amazing choice. They contract with Aloha Bridal Company which made the planning process a breeze. Upon arriving for our rehearsal, we were personally greeted with leis and warm welcomes from Ashley the event coordinator. The site was beautiful! A free night stay at the hotel was included in our package, and upon arriving to our room after our reception we found complimentary chocolate covered roses and champagne. Our room had a beautiful view of our ceremony site. We highly recommend the Sheraton for any couple looking for a beautiful destination wedding with less stress.

Beautiful location! Amazing food! Chelsea the wedding planner was wonderful! The photographer we hired was also great. The DJ was so so. The indoor reception area wasn’t very nice. We were planning on having our reception outdoors on their beautiful lawn but had to relocate due to weather. The indoor location should have been cheaper than the outdoor one we paid for because it didn’t compare at all. Overall I would recommend!

Beautiful location! Amazing food! Chelsea the wedding planner was wonderful! The photographer we hired was also great. The DJ was so so. The indoor reception area wasn’t very nice. The property itself is great but the event manager, not so great. She was overwhelmed from the moment she got promoted into her role 8-months before my wedding. Her service got so bad I almost moved my venue to another part of the island; when her director has now be cc'd on all email communication, that doesn't make me feel very confident. Her communication skills are lacking and even until after the wedding, not even a follow up thank you note to us (bride & groom). I could go on with details that made her service unacceptable but I'd like to highlight the chefs who cooked our reception buffet dinner - all the food was fantastic! The reception staff was also very friendly and accommodating.

The second we stepped foot onto this resort we were treated like royalty. We booked a week long honeymoon at this resort and had read some not so great reviews about the lowest cost rooms ( garden view rooms) which is what we had booked. People complained about how far away they were, or how outdated they were. Those people are crazy! The whole time, my husband and I were trying to figure out how we would change our trip and we couldn't come up with anything! The walk across the street was enjoyable, and the room itself was SO beautiful and comfortable! Even the view outside was wonderful. Our patio walked right out onto the beautiful green grass under a cluster of palm trees. We could hear the ocean outside our room. It was like it s own little world. The food and atmosphere was great, the pool and hottie were beautiful. The morning breakfast buffet was delicious. Renting the cabana for e day was well worth it. And the luau was worth the investment as well. We left feeling rested, rejuvenated, and wishing we could stay forever! We already want to plan our trip back!

Loved this resort! We stayed here for 2 weeks in an oceanfront room and it was worth every dollar. The view from our room was amazing! Everyone at the hotel was great. We had a breakfast package at Rum Fire and really enjoyed eating there every morning. We can't wait to come back!!

I would HIGHLY SUGGEST that other brides NOT use the Sheraton’s event department for their wedding! Their communication was horrible, they broke promises in their contract, they were misleading with their description of the ceremony site, and their team added a great amount of stress and unnecessary extra work to my wedding planning. At one point, I had to send four emails and leave two voicemails for a month before I received a response to a simple question that my other vendors needed. Working with the Sheraton’s event department was a nightmare, and I would not suggest it to anyone. Another vendor that I worked with let me know that I am not alone. I was told that another bride had similar issues. The only thing I did love about the Sheraton is the beautiful view that we had during our wedding. The site is pretty and photographed very well. In the end, I sent a polite letter to the GM with details that I was unhappy about. He never apologized for any of the errors that occurred, which I found unprofessional. I would be happy to give specific details to anyone who would like more information. Ultimately, I would still pay more to send my business elsewhere unless major changes occur at the Sheraton.
