Our wedding at the Shore Lodge was AMAZING!!! It was the most beautiful day and the venue was gorgeous. We had people from all over that went on and on about how great it was! I will say that they are not totally up front about add on costs, such as the 20% gratuity that they apply to almost everything, but it was totally worth it! They could also really benefit from having one event coordinator rather than passing their clients around from the sales manager to the banquet manager, catering manager, beverage manager, etc. - I never knew who to contact. But honestly no one is perfect and they worked with us really well. I would definitely recommend this venue.

Our wedding at the Shore Lodge was AMAZING!!! It was the most beautiful day and the venue was gorgeous. We had people from all over that went on and on about how great it was! Remember that this is a hotel first and a venue second. We weren't allowed to put up any signage so our guests had a difficult time navigating the site to the ceremony and reception locations. We also had some strangers wander in a time or two. Other than that, the staff was very accommodating and the food was wonderful.

Remember that this is a hotel first and a venue second. We weren't allowed to put up any signage so our guests had a difficult time navigating the site to the ceremony and reception locations. We were so excited to use the Shorelodge. We even went up and visited the Shore Lodge. We were willing to work our budget to accommodate a more expensive lodge. However, their wedding planner is not good. I emailed her and it took he a very long time to write back. She was not clear on pricing. Once she finally got me a price sheet, she had the wrong room and the room season. I asked her again for the correct room and two price sheets, one showing the pricing during season and one during off season. She has still not gotten back to me. It's a shame....such a beautiful place. However, as the bride, I do not want to feel like I am putting her out of her way by asking questions about a wedding venue that we are potentially looking at spending $30,000-Up to hold our celebration.

Given the fabulous location of this resort, you would think they would go above and beyond to live up to this potential. They have the opportunity to be a world-class, \"you've got to go there\" kind of place. Unfortunately, they in no way live up to the potential. The rooms are small and poorly cleaned, the food is mediocre, the prices outrageous, the staff seems poorly informed. We recently attended a wedding there and only because of the groom's parents, the wedding was wonderful. However, Shore Lodge created way more problems than they were willing to solve. Knowing the family well, I have heard just a portion of their nightmare stories. I highly discourage anyone considering a wedding, an event (or even a stay) at Shore Lodge to consider their choice carefully. Clearly, new management needs to come in and create the extraordinary experiences that are certainly possible at Shore Lodge.

Stay away. We should have paid attention to their 2019 reviews. They are bad for the most part.They couldn't handle guest reservations and the food and service outside of the wedding day were poor at best. The rooms were dirty and not maintained during our stay, You don't get what you pay for. Our guests were not treated nicely. We, the hosts, were treated like we were bothering them with our wedding. They couldn't care less that we spent a lot of money and time on this wedding and that it was a once-in-a-lifetime event. They only care about money.The views are great and the wedding was spectacular because of all the work we did. However, behind the scenes, they made it very difficult and couldn't do simple tasks without having their hands held.If you want to add stress to your wedding day, this is the place. If not, McCall offers many other venues.They are very good about billing you though!We worked with Parks and Rec in McCall for the rehearsal dinner and they were amazing!! Also, we had KB Burritos for the RD and I give them 10 stars for food and service.

We decided to do a more lake town type of honeymoon and actually was a total blast. We stayed at the shore lodge and it is BEAUTIFUL!!! We are an outdoorsy type couple so one day we did the bike ride around the lake, and paddle boarded on the lake the next, relaxed on the beach, or went into town to explore! There was a rainy night so we just spent it in our beautiful hotel room watching movies and such! It seriously was so fun and highly recommend to anyone looking into it! We definitely will be going back!

I spent many early years in Idaho and my family has always had a lake house in McCall, but i have lived in NYC for the past 13 years. When my husband and I became engaged I knew I wanted to have a wedding in McCall, but wasn't sure where I could find a beautiful view with a rustic feel, but also have top quality services and amenities for myself and our guests. \r\rShore Lodge was perfect! From day one they were professional, responsive, and worked to accommodate our every need and wish. We planned the entire wedding from 2,000 miles away and they put our anxieties at ease. We had one tasting before the wedding and it was amazing. The chef was wonderful and excited to help execute our vision, which was an extra plus for me in particular as I am a chef by trade. \r\rAdditionally, we had a number of outside vendors including our planners and they worked well together. I couldn't recommend them enough!

My fiance and I chose to have our reception in McCall even though our ceremony was in Boise. I believe we could not have made a better choice. The setting and atmosphere at The Shore Lodge is so peaceful and serene. It is the perfect place for a reception.\rThe organizers are the Shore Lodge were always professional and accomodating. If I had a request they fulfilled it. If I had a concern, they addressed it with grace and professionalism. I highly recommond The Shore Lodge and staff for a wedding ceremony and reception.

We could not have been happier with our choice to host our wedding reception and have our wedding guests stay at the Shore Lodge for our destination wedding. \r\rThe hotel is such a special place: The views are stunning / The hotel is spotless and beautifully decorated / The amenities are extra special - smores on the beach, free movie theatre - game room for the kids - year round heated pool - the list goes on and on. \r \rOur reception could not have been more perfect. The catering manager was very helpful and accommodating in the planning. The food was delicious and they had an excellent variety of choices. The service staff should get an extra special review on their own. They were AMAZING. They catered to our every need at the reception. The went above and beyond in ways we didn't expect, for example: They offered to walk the children to the movie theater for us so one of our guests didn't have to leave to get them settled in for the movie and they offered to box up the extra cupcakes without us having to ask. \r\rWe would not hesitate to have another event at the Shore Lodge and can't wait to visit again!

We had our honeymoon here. IT was so wonderful! The place was beautiful and well kept and the staff was amazing. They had a lot of nice touches, like free bike rentals, Smores on the beach, game room and a wonderful view. We will be back for our anniversary!
