Silver Garden did an absolutely phenomenal job as our wedding reception venue! From the get-go, we were able to get all of our questions answered in a timely manner and were treated with nothing but kindness and professionalism. We worked primarily with Ann Marie and Kim, and both were super friendly and just awesome! On the day of our wedding, Silver Garden was completely prepared for a snowy and rainy day (every pathway was shoveled and salted) and kept the party moving along right on time. The entire staff was helpful - I even had a staff member ask me if I was alright when I walked inside from the cold! Many congratulated us as well and were overall so nice!The space was clean, absolutely beautiful, and very affordable for a winter wedding. Over the 12 months of planning our wedding, Ann Marie and Kim were there for us 100% - they answered emails in a timely manner, always made sure we were getting the most bang for our buck, and guided us through the reception process so that we could make the most informed decisions while planning. I can't say enough about finding people that you work well with, and Ann Marie, Kim, and the rest of the Silver Garden team were just fantastic! Finally, we received so many compliments on the food! Every dish was amazing and delicious. I personally am gluten free and dairy free, and the team worked with me to have a TON of food options available on my big day! I ended up having the quinoa dish, which was so, so good! My husband had the champagne chicken and couldn't speak more highly of it! No matter what food you pick, it will be some of the best food you have ever tasted! (The tastings were also super fun! Getting to try all the food was one of our favorite parts of wedding planning.)The team also gave us the sweetest gift at our reception! It was such a pleasure to have our celebration with Silver Garden!

Shriners Silver Garden was amazing! My wedding was in July and I am still receiving many many compliments on the venue. My whole wedding planning experience with Silver Garden was nothing short of amazing. Ann Marie, and Kim were very patient, understanding, accommodating, and warm and fuzzy during each and every encounter. The food from Sue Chef was amazing and guests were very satisfied! Silver Garden is definitely the place to be or book for your special day or function of any kind!!!!

Great Venue. Great Food. Great Service. I used the Gazebo and Mystic Ballroom. We stayed there for pictures the outdoor space was beautiful. I had about 175 ppl. Carol and the staff were great to work with.

This venue is absolutely gorgeous. We only needed simple floral decorations to accent the room. The lighting from the stained glass windows and provided the rest. What can I say about Carol and the team at Shriner's They were simply amazing and extremely helpful. We were able to visit the venue when we needed. Our guests were wowed by the beautiful Mystic Ballroom. The venue is large enough to host about 300 guest, which was perfect for our family sizes. Major shoutout to the chef! The food was beyond delicious. The serving staff was very professional and prompt. I would highly recommend this venue to any couple thats looking for just the right balance of elegance and modern flair. I wish I could do the day all over again! Thanks Shriner's

Our wedding turned out absolutely perfect and went off without a hitch thanks to the staff. The ceremony in the garden was beautiful thanks to all the colorful flowers planted and our reception in the Mystic Ballroom was beyond gorgeous. All of the staff really bent over backwards to make sure that we had a very special night and helped make the planning (which was done from across the country!) So easy. I can't say enough good things about Silver Gardens!

My husband and I were married at Shriners Silver Garden on March 19th - our day could not have been more perfect! This venue far exceeded our expectations. Our ceremony and reception were beautiful. The food was great. Ann Marie and her staff were awesome and very professional - they made sure all of the details came together for our special day. The staff at Silver Garden Events Center went above and beyond to make our day special. Ann Marie Mathews went above and beyond to make my daughters wedding day perfect! The food was delicious, the staff attentive and Ann Marie worked well with all the outside vendors (flower person, lighting guy, photographer, cake person and DJ). I would highly recommend Shriners Silver Garden Events Center to my family and friends. Thanks again Ann Marie!

We had our wedding at Shriner's Silver Gardens on Friday, June 26th, 2015. We had the ceremony outside in the gazebo, and the reception inside the Mystic Ballroom. We could not be happier with our decision to have our wedding there. The staff was a joy to work with, and Christine was a huge help. The bartenders were very quick, and the food was absolutely delicious. The Mystic Ballroom with the stain glass windows is breathtaking and the perfect venue for a wedding. Everything was perfect and we have gotten many compliments from our guests. We would recommend Shriner's Silver Gardens to anyone!

I loved everything about Silver Gardens. From the amazing staff, to the great food to the beautiful look of the Mystic Ballroom. I did both my ceremony and reception there and was very please with both. They were very hands on, flexible and full of great ideas. It was actually the first and only venue we looked. After visiting we didn't feel like we needed to look any further. The pricing is really reasonable and you are guaranteed to find a menu choices that will suit your tastes.

I had right around 400 guests at my wedding and and my own (specific) requests. The event center was great to deal with and they handled it all with such ease! A selling point for me was that the Mystic didn't have the typical 'ballroom' feel and I thought the setup of the room made it easier for guests to watch all the events and dances. If I could critique one thing, I'd say the stain glass in the mystic should be lit from the outside, it's such a great focal point that it's sad to lose it during an evening wedding. Erin (and the rest of the staff) is a treasure and deserves a HUGE raise!

From the moment we arrived to decorate, we were met with personnel who were eager and willing to help us. Any question or request was immediately addressed. The garden and facility are absolutely beautiful. The food was delicious. We were totally pleased with our entire experience. I would highly recommend this facility for any of your needs.

After we got engaged in July of 2012, Shriner's was the first place we looked at when searching for our perfect wedding venue. After walking into the Mystic Ballroom, we were sold! We booked it only a few weeks later! We worked with Erin Bell. She was super to work with and I couldn't be happier with the service we got! Emails and calls were always answered withing 24 hours, with most being the same day! She gave us great ideas and helped us stay on track with a budget! \r\rTake advantage of any tasting events they offer! She helped customize a menu that was perfect for us and our guests! \r\rErin and the entire staff was there to help set up and break down the event. Bridgette took over for the actual ceremony and reception and was there to help (with a smile!) with any requests we had or help we needed. All service staff was great and always had smiles on their face! \r\rI will refer everyone I know to Shriner's. Because of them, I was able to relax and enjoy all wedding festivities! They helped make our special day perfect!

I had the pleasure of working with Erin Bell and the entire staff at the Shriner Silver Garden in Southfield for our wedding on November 24, 2013. My husband rented the entire facility we had our ceremony in the grand ballroom and our reception in the mystic ballroom. We used the lobby area for cocktail hour and the other two rooms as changing areas. The staff was great everything was done timely and they were very accommodating to changes. We had a huge wedding party as well as a lot of guest. Erin made sure they were fully staffed for our event.\r\rI plan to use the Silver Garden for my baby shower and any other special moment. I would recommend this facility to anyone looking for a nice place to have their event.\r\rThe cost was reasonable and the payment plan was very easy for us to ensure we were able to get everything we wanted.\r\rI loved my experience!!!\r\rLaShantinette Obioha

I had the pleasue of having my July 13, 2013 ceremony and reception at the Elegant, Beautiful and Amazing Silver Gardens Event Center. When my mother and I first arrived we were taken a back at how beautiful the venue is! The parking lot is huge, the outdoor Gazebo is beautiful with a water fall, the stain glass room is breathing taking, but the Grande ballroom had my name written ALL over it. We meet with Erin to over all the details (GREAT customer service)....a few days later I took my now husband back and he said \"book it\". \r\rWe were able to use one of the other rooms to get our make-up and hair done and get ready for the ceremony....that was a plus. There was more then enough room for my 5 ladies, 2 mothers, 3 little girls and of course me, to move around freely.....with the make artist and her assistants as well. \r\rOur ceremony took place outside at the Gazebo. We were able to add decorations to it as we pleased. There were no limits as to what we could do. We held our receiption in the Grande Ballroom, which is the most Elegant room I've seen in our search for a venue. \r\rIf you are in need of other vendors Silver Garden Event Center will help point you in the right direction with their preferred vendor list and will work hand and hand with ALL of your vendors.....\r\rThe food was delicous....The ENTIRE staff helped us from the time we singed our contract in February 2012 and well pass our BIG day. The staff was VERY friendly, pleasant,, helpful and a JOY to work with. No matter how many times I called Erin, Monica or Ann Marie they always had a smile in their voice and was happy to assist us in any way the could.....The venue is worth consideration for any and all type of events!!!

The staff at Silver Garden Events Center went above and beyond to make our day special. We had a kosher wedding, and did not use their catering service, which would make most places less friendly (since they are making less money), but Erin at Shriners made sure our day was perfect!

I had an early April wedding and what initially attracted me to Silver Gardens was the price and the ability to have the ceremony outside if the weather was nice and have it in a second hall if not. The weather ended up being too cold to be outside so the second hall was transformed for the ceremony. I can't tell you how many venues we looked at would have had us married on the dance floor with our visitors sitting at tables if the weather was poor.\r\rOnce we decided on Silver Gardens everything went amazing. The fact that we were trying to plan the wedding from a hundred miles away seemed impossible but Erin the events manager was always happy to help over the phone and quick to get back with us in emails. \r\rThe day of the ceremony could not have gone any better with the help of the friendly staff. My florist actually did not include corsages for my grand parents but the staff was quick to point out that they could use a few flowers from the arrangements and make something on the spot. There were countless other small details that they took care of without us even knowing that really made the difference.\r\rDinner was delicious and every one of my guests that I talk to say the food was excellent. The stained glass in the main hall was stunning in the evening and made for beautiful photos. I would not hesitate to recommend them to any of my friends.

I chose the venue because it had outdoor space (for the ceremony) and, of course, indoor space for the reception. I was offered many \"deals\" just for having the ceremony and reception in the same place. Additionally, the staff was very accomadating to my requests. I don't want to divulge much because what was offered to me may not be offered to you. The per plate cost was fair (but based on the taste of the food, the cost was exceptional), but the other add-ons (bar package, hors d'ourves, etc.) was pretty expensive. I suggest you do the menu tasting, you won't be disappointed (or you may, depending on whether or not you get to eat any at your reception!) Complaints: They don't allow you to pre-schedule a rehearsal until at least two weeks before your event. Also, be sure to have someone check the facility after the event. They claimed something was broken and wanted to keep my deposit. And if you go with a cash bar with the soft drink package, tell your guests that they don't have to pay for the soft drinks and juice. Otherwise, you may end up paying for beverages that are not consumed.

We booked this location after falling in love with the incredibly unique chapel. The stained glass is amazing and the architecture is awesome. The ceremony went smoothly. The garden was great for pictures. How much do I love Mary? Let me count the ways.... Mary is the daytime coordinator at SG, and let me tell you... she is the nicest person you could ever meet in the wedding business! She was incredibly helpful and always accommodating. The bartender was great. The food was DELICIOUS. I didn't do a big cake because dessert was included in the meal. The price cannot be beat for what you get. I loved that everything was all in one location and so did the out of town guests. Throughout planning my now-husband and I would say \"Thank god we booked with Silver Garden...\"
