We got married here on 9/15/23 and are so happy with our decision! Amy, Janene, Jeff, and the entire staff are amazing to work with. We always knew we could email / call about different questions and they would respond immediately with great advice and insights. We had the east ballroom, so our ceremony was down near the water, and it was all absolutely gorgeous! There are so much greenery and flowers throughout the entire place, that we didn’t even buy flowers for the ceremony. The price for the value you receive at Silver Lake made the decision even easier.

I don't even know where to begin with describing Silver Lake! Amy and Janene were so incredibly helpful from the start. I was a very anxious bride and Amy made sure I felt comfortable every step of the way. They truly know what they're doing in terms of coordinating a beautiful wedding. From our first tour, we saw how beautiful the grounds were, and how professional the staff was. Booking and choosing our menu was so easy. They checked in prior to the wedding at just the right times, and answered my millions of questions without hesitation. The day of was absolutely perfect. The locker room is great for getting ready, Amy kept us on track in terms of timeline (this woman even helped me bustle my dress- for a while!!!), the food was AMAZING and the pictures came out fantastic. At night, the whole courtyard was lit up beautifully. We have had so many compliments on our venue. Brides, if you're looking for an all inclusive, easy, beautiful, and affordable venue, I can't recommend Silver Lake Country Club enough.

Amy and Janene were more than helpful to make things incredibly clear and smooth from start to finish; we always knew what to expect and they were available anytime to answer questions or provide guidance when I needed it. Our guests raved about how good the food was, the ceremony site and the grounds were gorgeous for the perfect background. Getting ready there the day of also was super easy, the women's locker room was perfect for us to bring in hair/makeup. Definitely recommend this venue!

This venue is beautiful! I had my ceremony outside in the garden and then reception inside. The location, scenery, food, and staff was everything I could have every asked for. They know exactly what they are doing, I brought little accent pieces to be placed throughput my space and I could not have been happier with how beautifully they set it all up for me.

Silver Lake was literally the best venue from the second we walked through the door. We had visited many other vendors but Silver Lake was unmatched in their service from the get go. They were recommended by multiple friends who also had an amazing experience. They were accommodating every step of the way, their list of vendors made many parts of the wedding planning process easy, and their food was delicious. Our photos as well as our guests photos came out incredible. I feel like a lot of people say they wouldn’t redo their wedding but Silver Lake is a huge reason we would do it again in a heartbeat.

We had our wedding at Silver Lake in June of 2022! We were so happy with them from start to finish and their prices can’t be beat! I felt like I had my own wedding planner because Amy was so helpful with planning and organizing our day. The food was amazing and we had great bar service throughout the evening. We are even looking into using Silver Lake for a baby shower because we were so happy with our wedding day.

I had the pleasure of having my wedding at Silver Lake on 07.10.22 and to say I made the best decision choosing this venue would be an understatement. Amy and her staff did an awesome job making sure our special day was all I imagined it would be. My guests are still talking about how great the food and the bartenders were 5 months later. Amy took the ease and worry away from me with planning & preparing for my wedding by guiding me every step of the way. Her & her staff really took the place of an actual wedding coordinator by making sure everything was in place and went as planned. Due to the size of my wedding party & guests list, I decided to rent both East and West garden areas for my reception and the ceremony was outside the garden facility. With all the beautiful surrounding flowers, minimal outside decorations were needed. Thank you Amy & staff for helping to make 07.10.22 a day Jerome & I would cherish.Detries Jackson

My husband and I had our wedding reception at Silver Lake on 11/12/22. I can honestly say that our wedding was everything we could imagine and more! Amy and her staff were very helpful and informative throughout the process. They are very transparent with no hidden fees! We loved our bartender Tony who was very attentive and creative! The staff went out of their way to make us feel special such as putting a tray of appetizers off to the side for us and setting up the room just the way we wanted it. We are still getting rave reviews from family and friends about the food, staff and beautiful location. 10/10 would get married here again (although I’m 100% sold on my guy!).

It is hard to beat the price of this venue and the location. The food was a 7/10, which is okay for the price. It might have been the night of our wedding, but we felt it was understaffed because there was a wedding next door and our service people spent more time there than at our wedding. Also, the walls are not that sound-proof: we heard the loud music from the wedding in the next room. Amy is a pleasure to work with, she is very fast at responding and will cater to your every need. The outdoor space where the ceremony was held was very beautiful and everything was set up nicely for us.

There was a wide selection of customizations in terms of food to help feed every one of our guests, including those with dietary restrictions. There was a bridal room that allowed us to get ready together in a smooth and pleasurable fashion. Highly recommend Silver Lake and I'm very happy were able to work with them to make our night as perfect as it could be.

Our wedding was on 8/6/22, we had both rooms and the ceremony was by the lake. This was hands down the best experience ever! Amy made me feel Soo special from the very beginning. She walked me through every single thing and made my life so easy! The day of the wedding she handled everything. The kids in the wedding party were getting antsy during family pics after the ceremony and she put them all on a golf cart and went riding up and down hills she literally did everything in her power to make this the best day! The venue is all around a beautiful place! I'm so happy we chose them for our wedding I would choose them over and over!

When deciding a venue for our wedding, the biggest factor was having staff that would make our day as easy as possible. This made Silver Lake not only the first but the best choice, knowing that they set the standard for customer service in the Chicagoland Southwest Suburbs. The staff kept our event running seamlessly from start to finish, particularly Amy. From testing polaroid cameras to reminding me to bustle my dress to even stepping in with a mic when our DJ had to step out, she went above and beyond, and she is just an example of the service we received from the entire staff at Silver Lake. They're incredible and just who you want by your side on your biggest day.

Our initial wedding date was supposed to be at the beginning of COVID and they were always on top of keeping us posted on the latest updates of what we were/weren't allowed. After we ultimately made the tough decision to postpone the wedding for a year, they were nothing less that incredibly supportive and made the date transition so easy. From the days leading up to our wedding, Amy and Janene were so patient at answering all my last minute panic questions and made our day absolutely perfect. Even the staff on the day of the event was absolutely amazing and extremely helpful. All our guests had such great things to say about all the staff, bartenders, and of course the food (we had a lot of people with food restrictions and those with the restrictions also raved about the food they were served). Would HIGHLY recommend Silver Lake to anyone!

My husband and I chose SLCC because of how much they provided for the wedding, the beautiful pond location, lovely greenery, the amazing wedding team they have to assist us with wedding details, and most of all Amy!! Amy was an absolute delight week of, day before and day of. When I say she gets shit done, she. gets. shit. done. Our ceremony was at the pond (very beautiful) and had the reception at the East Garden (wait till you see it at night it is STUNNING!!).

Their outdoor spaces and gardens were absolutely beautiful for all of our photos and would have been gorgeous for the ceremony (had it not rained!) Even though we had to move inside due to the rain they were so accommodating with the last minute changes and set up everything up incredibly beautiful inside. Amy was fantastic to work with and made the whole experience fun and easy! Honestly cannot recommend them enough! We are so glad we found them for our wedding!!

We had the perfect wedding at Silver Lake. The venue is b e a u t i f u l with the windows and the garden area outside. The pictures are gorgeous on the golf course during sunset. Our guests raved about the food (the twice baked potatoes and chicken were out of this world!) Not to mention, the DRINKS WERE AMAZING! The bar tenders were whipping up great cocktails and so friendly and funny. The martinis were to die for. This process is overwhelming, but the staff (we worked mostly with Amy, but this extends to EVERY server, bartender, etc.) was so helpful and happy to answer any questions and ease our anxiety. With COVID, they answered our questions and concerns while being transparent and keeping us up to date with regulations. Also, THE STAFF DECORATED for us! We had pretty simple decor with pictures for reference and the set up was more than I ever could have imagined. 10/10 recommend Silver Lake. It took us 10 minutes to decide this was the venue of our dreams. The price may be overwhelming, but in the grand scheme of things, you’re paying for great food, superb drinks, helpful staff, and the greatest day/night of your life.

We had the perfect wedding at Silver Lake. The venue is b e a u t i f u l with the windows and the garden area outside. The pictures are gorgeous on the golf course during sunset. Our guests raved about the food (the twice baked potatoes and chicken were out of this world!) Not to mention, the DRINKS WERE AMAZING! The bar tenders were whipping up great cocktails and so friendly and funny. The martinis were to die for. We're so glad we had our wedding reception at Silver Lake! The staff was so friendly every time we visited. Amy and Janene were a pleasure to work with and had an answer for every question I had. They were also kind enough to allow us to get ready in the locker room (much nicer than it sounds) even though we were planning to leave the property for the ceremony. We had our reception in the West Garden room, and it was beautiful! Even with no decor, the room itself has a whole wall of windows, wood beams, and an outdoor patio space with a garden and trees wrapped in fairy lights. I gave them very little instruction about how to set up the decor we brought, and they fulfilled my vision perfectly! I have absolutely nothing bad to say about my experience at Silver Lake and I would absolutely choose them all over again!

They were so friendly and genuinely excited for us getting married, that it felt like they were family. I am amazed on how smoothly everything went and how non stressful they made the reception. The food was outstanding and so many guests have since told us they loved the food and that it was the best food they have ever had at a wedding reception before. The outside area was pretty and had good places to take photos. Both bartenders were so attentive, but want to give a special shout out to Tony since he was on my family's side of the room- so nice, quick, made great drinks, and remembered what everyone ordered. All of the staff were pleasant and hardworking. Silver Lake truly made my wedding day outstanding and memorable.

When the end of the night came and I was running out of people to assist with taking my decor home, one of their staff told me that I cold leave decor in their coat check over night to pick up the next morning. They really went above and beyond and I cannot say enough wonderful things about them. Book them!!!

They carried over our deposit and helped us pick our new date. Working with them was the best. They don’t care if you email them a million questions, they will respond very quickly. Or call you if you’d prefer. They suggested some of our vendors which was helpful because I really didn’t know where to start or what we really needed. She made time for us every time we made an unannounced visit in the months prior to the wedding. She was always available by phone and email. She was so personal to us I felt like she was my personal wedding planner. She had great ideas and tips but also was open to trying new things. She made us really feel comfortable because she clearly knew what she was doing. I didn’t have to worry about a thing on my wedding day! She was checking in on myself and my husband through out the day. At one point I felt like my curls were falling out and she went and found a curling iron for me to use. My guests said it was one of the best weddings they had been to. Their only complaint was that there was to much food! I highly recommend the filet and chicken plated meal. Silver lake was really fantastic to us. I will definitely look back at them when it’s time for a baby shower!

The best venue out there!!! The staff is amazing! The room and sounds are so beautiful and well maintained. Amy and the coordinating staff are truly professionals.I felt so confident that they could bring my dream wedding to life. We went to visit the venue the first time and actually cancelled the rest of our venue tours and booked Silver Lake on the spot. The food was incredible, and we got tons of compliments. And we got to go in for a tasting before hand, as well. The wait staff and bar tenders were so friendly and talented. My whole day was absolutely perfect all thanks to Silver Lake. They worked amazingly with all of our vendors, too. Right before our event, they actually offered for us to have both rooms for our wedding day for no extra cost. And after our wedding was finished, we received a check because we paid extra. WHAT VENUE DOES THAT?!? August 3 was our dream come true! Thanks SL!!

Our ceremony and reception were held here. Amy was wonderful and helpful in instructing us. My brother was our (1st time) officiant and a lot of our bridal party was out of state and not able to attend the rehearsal, so having someone who knew the ropes and was so calm and funny about it, really helped calm our nerves. The food was DELICIOUS, and everyone enjoyed it.

We had our ceremony and wedding reception at Silver Lake. They were fantastic from start to finish. Amy and her team answered all of our questions quickly. They are organized and make your wedding their top priority. They make you feel so comfortable and work with all of your requests. The bridal suite is awesome! I was able to have my makeup artist and hair stylists come right to the room. There was plenty of space for all of us to hang out without stepping on one another. We had our ceremony on the West Patio. It was absolutely gorgeous. They have the most beautiful flowers. They look great in all of our pictures. We did not have to travel anywhere for additional pictures. They have pretty flowers all around and a gazebo that was perfect for pictures.The food was delicious. We had many compliments from our guests about how much they enjoyed the appetizers and dinner. The staff was phenomenal. They were efficient and polite to all of the guests. The bartenders are amazing, especially Tony. People were impressed on how he remembered what they were drinking. We highly recommend Silver Lake. They went beyond our expectations. It was better than we had imagined and we our so glad that we went with Silver Lake for our day.

If I could add additional stars I would! They were outstanding for our wedding. They were helpful the entire planning process and were beyond accomadating. Our wedding was far beyond our expectations and the staff was WONDERFUL. They were so friendly and on top of everything. All of our guests were thrilled and the room was stunning. We worked with Janene during the months leading up to our wedding and she was AWESOME!! She made sure everything was how we wanted it and went smoothly. Another huge perk here is that tax and tip is included in the per plate cost! This was what sealed the deal for us when choosing a reception, you can't beat their prices and quality! Would HIGHLY recommend having a reception here, you won't regret it!

Silver Lake was the perfect venue for our wedding! We chose the lakeside/East Garden Room for the ceremony and reception. Everything was beautiful and the staff were very helpful throughout the process! Janene and Amy were the two that help answer any questions that I had within the last year. The food was excellent and the beautiful flowers and golf course made for some amazing pictures! One thing I would have liked different was having a curtain up in the bridal suite. There are two separate sides, separated by lockers/wall, but the other bridal party were getting ready on our side when my party arrived there; they moved their things quickly, but their flower girls kept running on my side, photographer and florist started to put their stuff on my side and no one from the other party said anything (my bridesmaids and mom had to ask them to stay on the other side), so I think a curtain would have helped this issue. Other than that, I had an amazing day at Silver Lake Country Club and would highly recommend! :)

If you are looking for a wedding venue look no further!! Silver lake by far is in my opinion the best option for your big day . When we first walked in , we didn't have an appointment, and there had to be 3 huge events happening at the time . Even though Janene was super busy she still took her time with my husband and I and gave us a tour as well as wnet over really helpful details . We loved how helpful she was and we chose the venue for our ceremony as well as reception! Amy and janene were the best throughout my entire wedding planning process . They both helped me so much especially when there were things that I was debating on if I needed Or not . These ladies are true experts !!Oh and also the food is amazing! We went with chefs family style. My guest loved everything . My wedding day went perfect and that's all because of my two favorite ladies Amy and janene !!

We just had our wedding here this past weekend and we have nothing but amazing things to say! From the first time we met last June through last Saturday, their whole staff was terrific. SilverLake CC was beyond what I could have wanted for my wedding day. I am so happy that we chose this venue, and I knew it was going to be special. My husband and I got married on Aug 5th and it was literally the best day ever! The whole planning process was made so easy with Silver Lake! Any issues or questions I had were followed up almost immediately with either a \"yes\" or an answer. The venue was just gorgeous and easy to get to for out of town guests. My photographer could not get over how many beautiful locations where available for our photos. I loved that Silver Lake did all the set up and tear down of the room which allowed me to focus on everything else! Even with minor snafus SL handled with excellent professionalism and made me feel relaxed and comforted on my wedding day. The bridal suite was perfect for getting ready and I also loved that I was able to store my dress before the day of the wedding. The food was to die for! Everything was absolutely amazing!! I would recommend SL to anyone who is wanting a beautiful location for their wedding! I would honestly give this more than just 5 stars!!

We had our wedding here August 5, 2017 and it was the best day of our lives. Silver lake was so accommodating for us! Our DJ wanted to move his stand and they moved their things out of the way so he could be in a better place for the music. They cut and served the cakes for us, they boxed everything up for us and had it ready to go. They even set everything up for you the night before! You just have to provide a detailed explanation of how you want it to look. I thought that was outstanding. They are overall kind people to work with.

My husband, James, and I were so excited when we booked this venue for our ceremony & reception on June 9, 2017! Amy and Janene were AMAZING throughout the entire process! We booked early (word of advice) and that locked us into lower rates which we reaped benefits after all was done. It was the best priced for all services just where we wanted to have our special day. We could tell early on why they were so highly rated and busy. You are able to customize however you want your day (decor, menu, special requests). We had a gorgeous outdoor ceremony where our photographer captured breathtaking photos with all the flowers, nature, and waterfall in the background. We had a wonderful reception and it was decorated so beautifully! The food was AMAZING and it was great to have 1 of my recipes on the menu. Our family, friends, and loved ones enjoyed every moment, the food, dancing, and staff were so nice and accommodating! We could not be any happier that we chose this venue and Amy and Janene are TRULY sweet and amazing at what they do. We LOVE them! =) They put us at ease from beginning to the end. You can email or call them anytime with questions and they respond promptly. They truly care about making your special day everything you want it to be. I did not want to get married at a country club, but after attending a wedding of a friend at Silver Lake, we decided it was exactly what we wanted for our wedding... Now, I have no idea why anyone would want to get married anywhere but Silver Lake! I had such an amazing experience with them. EVERYONE you work with at Silver Lake is friendly and responsive and keeps you on task! They really want to make sure you have the best day possible, and they are so organized and helpful. We were married in the gazebo, and it was SO beautiful. We did not even need to decorate the aisle because they have flowers and decor outside.. The gardens are absolutely stunning, and you will get AMAZING pictures. There are so many places to take them.. Our reception was in the Garden room, and it is unbelievable how pretty the room looks with the large windows with the lights on the trees outside. Oh, and the food is AMAZING! So good. I worked with Amy and Janene with the planning of the wedding, and they were incredible - No matter who you're working with, they all keep the same notes and can pick up wherever someone else left off. On the day of, Linda and Jeff, staff members of Silver Lake, were not only helpful but SO enthusiastic and excited, which just made the day that much better. To top it all off, they have the best prices out of anyone you will find in town! Tax and gratuity is included in the pricing, and they will pay you back up to a certain percentage of people who don't show up the day of (which ended up happening in our case!!)... Where else can you find that?! I looked at other, more expensive country clubs in the area, and NOTHING even comes close. Silver Lake is not only a more beautiful venue, but also more reasonable. I can not say enough great things about them, and I am so thankful I had my wedding there.

This venue was super helpful with everything. I got so many compliments on how beautiful everything was and how smoothly the entire day ran. They were also super reasonably priced compared to every other venue I liked for this size. Beautiful ceremony sites. The ONLY issue (and it's pretty minor) that I had is the placement of items on the day-of. We must have spent an hour going over where to put everything (guest book, etc) and they ended up switching up what we agreed on, so most people never even saw the guest book to sign. Also they put my ceremony programs in an awkward spot (heading into the reception hall, rather than near the entrance to the seating) so nobody found them. Things like that were minor irritants but definitely didn't impact the feel of the day. Just be extra descriptive about where in the room things will go, and make sure you're actually standing in the room when you discuss.There were a TON of things that the coordinators helped me with, though, like giving me bigger vases to use for my sand ceremony without me even asking (mine were tiny and it would have been awkward). There were other things that I wouldn't have even thought of and they definitely didn't even need to bother, but they clearly wanted my day to be the best that it could be! Overall I would choose this venue 100% and recommend it to anyone for a wedding!

We just had our ceremony and reception at Silver Lake in the West garden room and patio on April 8, 2017. Words can not describe how amazing everything turned out and how awesome the staff are at Silver Lake. From the moment I went into the venue a year and half ago the staff (Donna) made me feel like this was the place I was supposed to get married at. I knew I wanted to have a outdoor ceremony and a venue with beautiful views and Silver Lake gave me that and more. I worked closely with Janene and Amy who are fabulous and answered every question I had and reassured me over and over that things where going to come out great and they did. I loved the fact that I could take all my centerpieces and party favors two days before and Silver Lake staff made my vision of everything a reality. The day of the wedding Amy was amazing on handling everything if something went wrong I hand no idea because I was never asked a single thing she handled everything start to finish. Tony our bartender is amazing everyone loved him, so many peopled raved about the food and how beautiful the venue and grounds where. I can not thank everyone enough at Silver Lake for making my day a dream come true. If I had to do it again I would choose Silver Lake all over.

We celebrated our wedding on 7/16/2016. We looked at a lot of venues before choosing Silver Lake. We were really happy with our choice and our guests had a great time too! Plus, this was one of the most affordable locations we looked at. Amy and everyone in her staff was EXTREMELY helpful and knowledgable. I (the bride) was in their office a lot asking questions and they always had the answer and was willing to help. Plus, the food was delicious. They also were able to accommodate all of our guests with dietary restrictions. However, my favorite part of this location was the gardens. They are some of the best gardens I have seen in the suburbs. They also made a fantastic background to our pictures and the pictures that the guest took. Even months after the event, many of our guests Facebook profile pictures were taken at our wedding out in the beautiful gardens. Overall, I cannot say enough wonderful things about this wedding venue. If you are looking for an affordable location with great food and drink and beautiful gardens, then this is your place!

After researching a dozen different venues (everything from the zoo to a pole barn), I knew that Silver Lake was going to be on the top of my list. I had it narrowed down to two different venues, Silver Lake and another county club that was a little further west. After being less than impressed with the staff at the one venue, I went straight to my appointment with Amy at Silver Lake. I was sold within minutes of meeting Amy. The more Amy and I spoke, the more we clicked. There is a huge sense of relief knowing that the person who will be overseeing your big day is on the same exact page as you are. When you book with Silver Lake, you know that your venue is one thing that can been checked off of your list and needs no further thought. One of the great things about Silver Lake is that it is a blank canvas. After recent renovations, I believe that pretty much any theme a bride has in mind for their big day will coordinate with the decor of Silver Lake. Days after the wedding I still have friends and family going on about what a perfect evening it was. The food was superb, the drinks never ran low and the entire staff went above and beyond to make the night unforgettable. One more thing to keep in mind is that you CANNOT beat the overall price of hosting your reception at Silver Lake. Other places may come close but you really need to look into the fine print. Silver Lake prices include EVERYTHING. There are absolutely no hidden fees. I cannot urge brides enough to make a trip out to Silver Lake to meet with Amy, see the rooms and take a look at the grounds. You will not regret taking the time to do so.

This was a second Marriage for both of us and we were only having a small Venue. When I started looking for venues I had to call about 20 places due to the fact we were only having under 40 people at the wedding. It was very frustrating that all the venues I called wanted a guarantee of over 75 people. I had seen Silver Lakes Country Club in many ads but we were on a limited budget. Finally I decided to call Silver Lake to see what their requirements were and from the moment I spoke with Amy at Silver Lake I knew this is where I wanted to have our wedding. From the first phone call to our wedding day was STRESS FREE and Silver Lake was more than accommodating, they went OVER, ABOVE and BEYOND helping us have a Fairy Tale Wedding!!!!!! We had our Ceremony by the Lakeside on the golf course and it was beyond beautiful not only the weather but all the greenery and flowers and the lake in the background. We were treated like ROYALTY and I cannot say enough about their food. We had Family Style and from the Soup to the main Course was Phenomenal!!!!!!!!!! There was not ONE mishap what so ever. So if you are looking for a Beautiful and STRESS FREE Venue for your wedding Silver Lake Country Club is THE PLACE to have the BEST DAY of YOUR LIFE!! My wedding was in August and was the best day we could have asked for. Everytime I spoke with the ladies over at Silver Lake they were so helpful and so sweet. They always were willing to listen and help with anything that I could think of! I was able to customize my wedding of my dreams with the help of everyone staffed. I loved having my bride/groom drink of choice, there was room for a photo booth, I had a large wedding party and they were able to accommodate my party and my large guest list! If I could do it all again, I wouldn't change a single thing!

We had our wedding reception at Silver Lake Country Club this past August, 2016. This venue fills up fast; for good reason! Their service is exceptional, the staff is incredibly accommodating and the pricing includes everything needed to make your wedding perfect, out-the-door. Silver Lake ended up booking all of their summer Saturday wedding slots almost a year in advance, so we opted for a Friday date. It ended up being a blessing in disguise, as we saved money on the dinners and on other vendors, such as the photographer. Working with Amy Coghill, Janene Zieler, and Kelly was seamless through every step of the wedding process. Silver Lake also includes a tasting with other couples which we came to find was quite rare with a lot of the other banquet halls we looked at in the area. You are paying the venue a lot of money, and to find that they couldn’t even accommodate a tasting for you was quite disappointing. Not the case with Silver Lake however. They put together a wonderful tasting with many appetizers; two entrees of your choice, soups, salads, everything you need to make your food decisions as painless as possible. My dad was extremely involved in the wedding process and stopped by Silver Lake several times unannounced just to “check in,” (he’s in sales and a very “people person”) and Amy and the rest of the staff took it all in stride with all of his special requests, questions, and drop-ins. The wedding night went by flawlessly; service was wonderful, the staff was friendly, bartenders were accommodating, everything went beautifully because of Silver Lake. The only qualm I had was at the end of the night, I was bombarded endlessly with questions about where things were going, who was picking them up (such as the lanterns from the florist) and many other questions I had already answered or sent to the staff prior to the day of the wedding. Granted, the staff at the end of the night are mainly just late-night servers so they were obviously not looped in on everything but I was flooded with questions while I was trying to leave and get back to the hotel, all of which could have been avoided. Overall though, not a big deal and definitely wouldn’t discredit them for this. Visit Silver Lake with the beautiful gardens and décor, you will not regret it!

The Garden Patio for our ceremony was gorgeous, the grounds keepers have done a fantastic job. The bridal suite is newly renovated and spacious and has everything you need. The staff at SLCC is what originally sold us on booking this venue. Amy and Janene and the whole staff made our day run so smooth and tailored our wedding to what we wanted without a blink of an eye! They were so friendly and helpful with all questions we had throughout the process. We had friends and family comment that this was the best wedding food that they have ever had! (We did family style). I would highly recommend booking this venue!

We celebrated our marriage on June 24 and could have not asked for a better venue to accommodate everything we were looking for! The scenery is absolutely gorgeous around the golf course and around the gardens! The pictures our guests took and our wedding party took came out amazing! We had a small wedding but they treated us just like as if we had a lot of people. They were extremely organized and helpful. The property was beautiful and a great place for pictures. The staff was very friendly. We had family style and it was so delicious. The process of planning a wedding is hard but they kept it simplistic and organized. They were great with accommodating special request. I had an end of winter wedding and they give some great discounts. They are very reasonably priced trust me I checked every place in the area nobody could match their pricing.

Life changed quite a bit and we are actually moving our date up to May! Thankfully Amy was able to get us in and at great price since we couldn't imagine not having it here. My wife and i were married at Silver Lake at the end of September 2015. The venue is newly renovated and absolutely beautiful. We booked before renovations and would have been fine with how it used to look but the upgrades are wonderful. The reception room has been modernized. The bride's area went from an old school locker room to a comfortable polished area fit for a bride to get ready. Also the outdoor ceremony area was redone and is even more lovely than it used to be. But that's all cosmetic and there are tons of pretty places to be married around Chicago. \rIn our opinion what sets Silver Lake above everyone else is the staff. Throughout the planning stages we dealt primarily with Janene and she was incredibly helpful. She had an answer for every question and helped accommodate an insanely long list of food allergies that my wife and her family have. Towards the end of the process we also dealt with Amy who is equally helpful and amazing. We really appreciated that for our rehearsal Amy kind of ran things for us. She took us out to the ceremony area first without anyone else so that we could go through what we wanted without outside input. Then we brought out everyone and ran through it for real. It's so easy for people to get off track and be distracted and take forever but not with Amy running the show. It was great!\rThen day of the wedding we met the event staff and they couldn't have been nicer. Silver Lake really employs the best people. Linda helped get everyone seated and in place and then helped us line up. Throughout the evening she dealt with every little thing that popped up and kept checking in with us to make sure everything was good. Our guests have given us a multitude of compliments about the serving staff and how great they were. They all loved the food (all the food; meat, vegetarian, and vegan), and told us it was way better than your average wedding dinner. Even the bar tenders got rave reviews. By the end of the night they knew what everyone was drinking and had it ready and waiting. \rIt's hard to put into word how great Silver Lake is but trust me you won't regret booking with them!

Silver Lake Country Club was everything I imagined for my wedding venue. We had both the ceremony and the reception at this location. The ceremony location was beautiful. The staff made every effort to make sure everything went smoothly, which it did. The food was wonderful, especially the prime rib. All of my guests commented on how great the food was. We held our ceremony and reception here in August of 2015. Silver Lake is PERFECTION! From the helpful staff to the indoor and outdoor spaces, everything was incredible! \r\rWe first saw the venue and decided on having our wedding here last year but we're told there were going to be renovations done in the winter before our event. The old room was slightly outdated due to the mauve color everywhere and old light fixtures, among other things. They renovated it all, plus some! It now looks stunning and completely up to date. \r\rAmy and Jeanne were who I most closely worked with and they are both wonderful. Amy is the no-nonsense type person who will get what you need done and with a smile. It was very easy to trust that what I was expecting would get done and that removed an immense weight from my shoulders during the planning process. \r\rWe chose the lakeside site for our ceremony because of the beautiful landscaping around and behind the site. To one side of the site is a hillside covered in a beautiful garden. The hillside blocks the view of the clubhouse creating an intimate site for the ceremony while still being in an open space. The only flowers I used outside were the flowers on or held by the bridal party. \r\rFor the reception we booked both the East and West rooms (there is a divider that can be added to separate them) They worked with me ahead of time to determine how I would like the room set up because I wanted guests to enter from the patio instead of the traditional club house. \r\rWe chose to go with the Family Style menu because people don't have to chose before hand (nor did I have to keep track of it) but the food wasn't pre portioned onto their plates. If they loved the veggies, which were delicious, they could have multiple servings and no pasta. It was as if it was a mini buffet at each table. This format also was a very quick option. Friends and family all told us that I looked beautiful and we looked so happy, but their next compliment was about the food! Everyone LOVED it!\r\rSilver Lake also worked wonderfully with all our vendors. Our photographer, DJ, and florist all told me how helpful and friendly the staff was. Some of the vendors had worked at Silver Lake before and some had not, all were impressed.\r\rWe were looking at a guest list about 300 and for Chicago venues that can be hard to find as well as very pricey. Silver Lake was a breath of fresh air with their straight-forward and affordable pricing. There were no hidden fees or \"upgrading\" your package to get what you wanted. \r\rHigh quality service, delicious food/drinks, and spectacular views are just the start to what Silver Lake Country Club can offer. I HIGHLY recommend this venue to anyone looking to host a wonderful event.

We had our big day on 08.15.15 at Silver Lake Country Club in the west garden. My fiancé and I went to three other places but the moment we got to silver lake we knew we have found a home for our guest. We were not looking for a flamboyant banquet hall but an elegant place that offered intimacy. That was exactly what silver lake presented to us, a homely atmosphere. \r\rThey were very accommodating especially Amy and Jeanine. I took about, I don't know how many people, to check the place out. They all had questions and changes to be made with each visit but the staff were patient and effected all the changes for us. \r\rThen it rained on my wedding day yee!!!!!. How beautiful and stress free Amy made that situation look and feel. To think that the favorite part of the wedding according to our guest was when they had to use their white umbrellas. Funny right, but that is silver lake for you. Guest can't stop talking about the food (yum) and the portions. Our day was so much fun we forgot it ever rained during the ceremony because our guest were in love with the atmosphere silver lake presented. Thank you to Amy and Jeanine especially for all the help in making our wedding unique. My pastor still talks about how unique it was. \r\rIf you are looking for a good place for a wedding silver lake is your best choice. Don't let the structure of the building deceive you just go in and see.

Wedding Date: May 16, 2015\r\rI cannot say enough great things about this place. Everyone at Silver Lake went above and beyond to make sure our day was perfect. No matter how odd our request, they fulfilled it. The food was amazing, the servers were fantastic, and the bartender was was top notch. The room has beautiful tall windows that look out to a garden, and it backs up to an outdoor patio that all wedding guests can use.\r\rMy husband and I are huge Blackhawks fans, and we were worried that there would be a playoff game the night of our wedding. They offered to bring in a TV and speakers for us, just in case they played. I surprise my husband by getting Tommy Hawk to come to the reception...Amy (the wonderful lady in charge) made sure that he was in the right place at the right time to make the surprise was perfect.\r\rI seriously cannot rave enough about this place. Have your reception here...you won't regret it!

I had my wedding at Silver Lake Country Club. This was a fantastic place that I have told all my friends about. The staff was fantastic. They were very friendly and accommodating. They went beyond what I expected. I had told my mother to do the center pieces and the staff took over so she could spend time with me. The food was great not standard banquet food. They had beautiful gardens and many beautiful places that photographed great. I couldn't ask for a better wedding. Thank you Amy, Janene, Donna and everyone else who helped make my wedding the day of my dreams

My husband and I were married at Silver Lake 9 years ago and to this day our family still talks about how beautiful and amazing everything was! We recently attended a friends wedding there and once again everything was perfect, family style food was delicious and the chicken was to die for!! It was so nice that the servers came to the table and offered refills on any of the food and of course our whole table had to say yes!! The gardens were truly beautiful and our family photos turned out great. My husband and I once again can't say enough good things about Amy and the staff at Silver Lake. Every experience we've had here has been so perfect! We already have another party booked here for next May, Amy and Janean in the office always make sure every little detail is covered so I can just relax and enjoy myself and I think that is one of the best services that Silver Lake has to offer! Its just piece of mind knowing I don't have to worry about anything because the staff is always 2 steps ahead of me and they already have things taken care of! I recommend Silver Lake to all of my friends and family.

Having a wedding in October can be risky, worrying if the weather will cooperate or not. I was very fortunate and had cooperative weather. \r\rAside from having beautiful weather, Silver Lake Country Club was a beautiful venue to have our wedding at. The picturesque views is just the start of the magnificence here! The ceremony site has a backdrop of a clean pond with a shooting fountain, the flowers and shrubbery are well kept and the simple white chairs that are placed for guests make everything seamless. Just outside of our banquet room was a GORGEOUS little garden that is lit up with white lights that wrap around trees and the gazebo. A beautiful rock garden with a small waterfall just topped off the magical feeling. \r\rAmy, who runs the banquet hall, was SUCH a pleasure to work with. She had fun with the guests and bridal parties and helped ensure that everything was taken care of. Bartenders are more than generous and SUPER friendly as well. \r\rI would highly recommend anyone to look into having this venue for their special day!

Besides all of the regular reviews you always read here is something little that stuck out...on your wedding day you probably will not eat much, if anything. Soup, salad, and dinner was coming out, speeches were being given, drinks were being passed out, pictures were being taken, and the bridal party was busy eating and talking throughout dinner. As the waitress came around, she asked me if I was done, I said \"yes\" and she said \"no you're not.\" I looked at her and she smiled and told me she was a mom, and I needed to eat. It was going to be a long night and she was sure I probably had not eaten all day. So she left my plate, smiled at me, pointed at my plate, and walked away. I laughed, and started to eat. Something so little can mean so much. She did not have to worry about what I was or was not eating, but she did. Everyone was just so personable with not just us but all of our guests. We got married this year on May 31st. Our ceremony was on site outside and cocktail hr/reception immediately followed. I knew this was our place on the first visit. From their friendly and amazing staff, beautiful grounds, convenient location, and accommodations...we could not be happier. I am, well, a very indecisive person so I was constantly calling, asking questions, asking to come in, going over details...etc. The staff at Silver Lakes was always more than willing to help me with suggestions, let me come in whenever I wanted to see the room, and also knew exactly how to calm my nerves. I did not put much detail into my wedding for the simple fact of, less detail=less chances of things not going as planned. Silver Lakes is already so beautiful that I did not have to do much. Amy is absolutely positively amazing!!! She is honest, knowledgeable, accommodating, friendly, and just a really pleasant down to earth woman. She helped us feel at ease throughout our planning process and on our big day. I honestly did not have to worry about ANYTHING!!!! The staff, bartenders, and waiters/waitresses were so nice as well. I can honestly say that I do not have one bad thing to say. Silver Lakes went above and beyond for us and exceeded any expectations we had going into this. Their food....amazing as well. People are still talking about how great the food was and how gorgeous their outside is. If you want something different, beautiful with every season, and a place that everyone will remember, well then I 100% recommend going with Silver Lakes. It was a great experience from the wedding last Saturday.We appreciate their your team efforts, preparation and services for the wedding!\r\rThere are a couple of items my guests kept talking about:\r1) Trout without back bones! It tastes soft, light salty, little spicy, fresh and very well. Amazingly is that the back bones are removed out. We are all wondering how chef did that!\r2) White umbrella adds romance! Though snowing and raining, your team is very professionally prepared with white umbrellas. They look pretty and matches the white and pure feel of the ceremony. A few guests also commented that a lady (she helped with our rehearsal) nicely persuaded the guests who carried different color of umbrellas to change the it to make sure the entire theme is kept. That's really considerable! I also saw a few ladies of your team helped to dry chairs by wiping rain drops off the chairs right before guests got out and sat down. That's sweet. \r3) Baked potato with cheese is good, chicken are tasted good. Food are a lot!\r4) Table liner and plate/glass decoration are organized and displayed nice. \r5) Take very good care of kids - chair, meal, respond upon questions. \rThey will wrap the cake, and giving the glass cup gift box! They are nicely printed with Silver Lake logo.

Being the bride, I was of course overwhelmed that day. I felt like their staff was one step ahead of me the entire day! They had everything ready to go before I even asked. They even had things I did not ask for! It started pouring rain seconds after my ceremony ended...they had cute white umbrellas for everyone and offered rides to the building on golf carts! That is just an example of them going above and beyond without even being asked. We are also still getting compliments on the food. The guests were very pleased! Me and my husband ended up not eating our dinner since we were talking with everyone. One of their staff members noticed this, and came up to us later in the night saying they wrapped up our dinner for us to be eaten later. It was so sweet. Amy Coghill (Owner) Amy Coghill literally grew up surrounded by weddings and special events. Silver Lake Country Club is a family owned and operated business and Amy is a 4th generation owner. She has managed events for over 20 years and still is so grateful to work in one of the most fun industries imaginable. Work never seems like work with weddings. There is nothing more fun than seeing a bride and groom’s vision come together the day of their wedding. When she is not here she is chasing around her little kiddos or taking time to squeeze in a round of golf.
