The venue has a great planning staff to help make everything perfect, from planning out the arrangement of tables, providing lighting options, to discussing bar packages. I cannot say enough good things about the Silverthorne Pavilion as a place to host wedding receptions and similar events. My husband and I had a mid-range budget for our Arapahoe Basin Ski / Snowboard Wedding, which meant that after hiring photographers, DJ's, catering, and all the rest, there was not a ton left over for decorations and extra frills for the reception venue...The Pavilion took all the worry out of that as it is gorgeous on its own, plus they had many affordable add-on items, plus complimentary table decorations to pull everything together. Drink service was also extremely affordable and convenient, and all of our guests had nothing but compliments for the bartenders and drinks included in our package. All managers and staff we worked with were incredibly accommodating, and they worked in perfect sync with our planner and other vendors - Laura Pearson (planner), Black Diamond Catering, and Hampton Entertainment (DJ) who were all more than excellent in their own right. This was a destination wedding booked and planned from the east coast, making the pre-planning and execution all the more difficult..and yet everything worked out perfectly. Many of our guests commented that this was one of the most fun weddings they'd ever attended...choosing the Silverthorne Pavilion as our reception venue definitely had a big part in that. Thanks again to Amy Lydon, the town of Silverthorne, and all staff at the Pavilion for making our day exceptional. Put this venue at the top of your list - you will not be disappointed! - Tiffany & Jason, married April 8th, 2023 Reviewed on 05-09-2023

We mainly worked with Shyanne who was able to handle all of our questions and was a pleasure to work with (even when we had to quickly change something we'd just decided!). The outdoor venue area was the perfect location for the ceremony with the river backdropping it. It also made an excellent location for the photos after, both by the river and atop the bridge. Moving inside for the reception, we found the atmosphere absolutely perfect for what we wanted! We would highly recommend the string of lights across the upstairs as it made the night truly magical. The inner area was able to comfortably fit all of our guests along with a photo booth, leaving plenty of room for people to get down on the dance floor!Just outside the reception and bar, there is the perfect outdoor sitting area with a beautiful fireplace. We setup Cornhole and Giant Jenga so guests were able to relax and cool off from the party outside. This meant our guests were having a blast both inside and out! As an added bonus, the one possible downside of the night was my bride losing a necklace that was very personal to her. The staff made sure to look for it in the days following and found it! The fact that they put in the effort to find her necklace even after our event means they will always go the extra mile.Overall, this was the perfect venue for us, and it allowed us to have the wedding of our dreams. We had our small ceremony up on the mezzanine with the doors open, overlooking the river, and it was perfect! Then we had a large reception inside, but it was nice out so we were able to use the outdoor patio as well. Our day of contacts were helpful and communicative, and the bartenders were so great! We got many compliments on them as well. I loved that they had a decoration closet, with lots of options (including wood slices that can be expensive)! We did not have to use many of our own decorations. The reasons I gave 4 stars instead of 5, are that it was never really clear who our contact person was. We had 3 different people talking with us throughout the planning process, and I was never sure who to email, because it seemed to always change. We also had some issues with getting a correct final quote with alcohol included. Make sure to read through the entire contract, because you are expected to clean the venue, including sweeping, mopping up spills, etc. We were not told that, but it is in the contract. We had popcorn, and some of my family who stayed to help clean were surprised by the fact that they were also expected to sweep off the entire patio. Our only complaint was that throughout the planning process there was poor communication with the event coordinators at the Pavilion. The staff was clearly having a lot of turnover, and in the 7 months we were engaged, we had four different contact people. And that resulted in a lot of information being lost, people didn’t know the answers to our questions, we had to answer the same questions 3 different times to 3 different people, etc. Communication was also slow. It took staff 1-2 weeks to get back to us via email or voicemail; which was stressful in the weeks leading up to it. But when the wedding weekend came, everything went great. We loved how you really didn't have to do a ton of decorating because the venue is already beautiful on its own. The attendant was great and very friendly the day of. The reason I gave it a 4 instead of a 5 is because they did not open the parking at the ceremony like they said they would so people had to jump the curb to get to it. The bartender also gave some attitude and wasn't very friendly. And at the end of the night some water got spilled and they handed my dad a mop which we thought was odd considering we paid for the space. All in all, our day went very smoothly and we had a blast. A large river flows right through the site, with bridges to cross. There is snow on the peaks usually from November thru June or July. The venue is conveniently right in town (a mile off the interstate), but with the trees all you see is greenery and mountains. \rAs for the services, Rob was amazing at coordinating everything. We had our ceremony outside on the lawn. There is also a riverside option. The reception was indoors, with customized lights, table arrangement, stage setup, buffet tables, cocktale tables, the whole shebang. They did all the work setting this up before we got there, and takedown as well. We did have to set up the chairs for our outdoor ceremony, and the caterer set up the linens and centerpieces inside. Rob was incredible when it came to planning things and contacting me before the big day. We were able to see the venue and he gave us a full tour of it and offered suggestions on our layout. We ended up going there about 3 times before finally deciding it was the venue we wanted. The layout turned out exactly like we had planned! Rob was there for the entire wedding and reception to make sure everything was going smoothly. I don't know if anything went wrong at all (but I was the bride, so I think that was all hidden from me anyways). The price was the lowest that I found in the front range area, but in no way did it look cheap. There is a bridge outside to take fun pictures on and a big open field with mountains behind it as well. I loved the fact that this venue gives you the freedom to make your wedding your own, unlike other venues I looked at where I was required to use their caterer and accessories, etc. I was able to bring in whatever food from whatever company I wanted, which really helped with my budget (but if you want to have alcohol, you have to use their company, and no outside alcohol is allowed). Also, I didn't have to pay any extra hidden fees. The staff was able to set up the wedding ceremony space and then it only took them about 45 minutes to tear that down and set up the reception (which was in the same space). The music travels really nicely throughout the room and guests are able to go outside by the fireplace or up on the balcony if they don't prefer to dance. I had about 100 people show up to my wedding, and it wasn't crowded or empty spaced. I was scheduled to accommodate up to 150 guests, which wouldn't have made it more crowded either. Overall, I highly recommend this venue to any bride looking for a mountain wedding with an affordable price and excellent service. I wish I could go back and do it all again the exact same way!
