Elizabeth Dipman(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 10-11-2012 Great to work with Pam ! She knows her stuff & the venue also comes with a closet full of items that are very helpful for decorating the venue. Holds 200 guests - upstairs room for bride to get ready in - accessible - handicap accessible (even though it is on the top floor) - elevator - catering kitchen. great price for renting & setting up for wedding friday (set up ) & saturday wedding. - even has great areas inside building & outside to take pictures! So glad we booked with Pam! Reviewed on 28-12-2012
Amber Mazzanti(bride)3 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 15-10-2011 In the end, my wedding reception was WONDERFUL. \rThe entire process up to that point was actually quite a pain. She was a little unorganized from the very beginning. \rWe scheduled an appointment to see the venue and then had to reschedule for the next week due to a conflict. The next week when we showed up, we fell in love with the ballroom and immediately pulled out our checkbook to put down the deposit, only to discover that she had already rented the room out for our date, that she told was available, and had forgotten to tell us. We offered to pay the full balance in cash up front and she wouldn't even contact the other couple to discuss the matter. We liked the space so much that we changed our date to make things match up. \rPurchasing the alcohol through her was also a nightmare. She would give me price list after price list and then when I would go to pay for things and she would say I had to wait until we were closer in case the prices went up. Then when I did get to pay, the list I had was wrong and the prices were more yet again. The keg prices were outrageous but we had no choice since no outside alcohol was allowed. Additional fees popped up every time I made a payment also. No matter how many questions I asked, something always seemed to be left out. \rA few negative thing to note- there is no set parking, there is no designated smoking area, the liquor and kegs were almost triple the price that you could purchase yourself, the cleanup list requires a lot of work and the kitchen is very small for caterers. One of the bartenders we had was texting instead of serving drinks however, she stopped when the groom said something to her. The door man was supposed to be checking the fire escape every hour and I only saw him on my way up the elevator when we arrived then never again. I also thought it was odd that they advertised to be able to hold events up to 250 people but only has 150 chairs, which again, required me to spend more money to rent the rest. I was just disappointed that it started off as a great deal regarding price, but in the end, I paid more than I had anticipated with costs continuing to pile on. \rOn the positive side, the room is beautiful- you go up to the 3rd floor of this random building and the doors open up into this amazing ballroom, like you're in another world. The stage is beautiful and the space is warm and inviting with classy decorations. Also, there are several decorations available to use for center pieces or other decor and the linens are included. It was nice to have access to the ballroom for such a long duration and nice to be able to set up the room however we wanted. It was also nice to have a key, giving us free range of the day without someone breathing down our neck the whole process. Also, we got a deposit back in the end, which I was unaware even existed. Cleaning made for a long night, but it was worth it after a great wedding reception. Along the way was tough but once the day arrived, everything fell into place perfectly. We received nothing but compliments on the space. \rI would recommend the venue itself based on the space, but only that. Reviewed on 01-11-2011
