SoireEstate Weddings & Events Venue Reviews
Lexi McGovern(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 14-03-2021 This was the most gorgeous venue I could have ever imagined! I felt like I was living in my Pinterest board on my wedding day! Mayra Gomez was our day-of-coordinator, and she made everything so seamless, easy, and beautiful! We were planning the wedding from out of state, so Mayra was literally a life-saver with the little details and coordinating all our vendors and visits. I can't say enough good things about this place - it was truly a dream come true to marry my best friend here! Reviewed on 25-03-2021
Gina McNellis(other)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 18-02-2023 This venue was exactly what my daughter and her wife wanted - old Florida with all the greenery. The food and the staff at the event were wonderful and helpful in many ways. The food was wonderful. This event was more than I could have asked for, for my daughter and daughter-in-law. Wendy Laza(bride)2 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 30-10-2022 2.5- I'm going to try to be as detailed and honest as possible without making it incredibly long (we'll see because there's a lot). My husband and I chose this place for two main reasons: the venue itself is the most beautiful, serene garden setting & the all inclusive was convenient and made the wedding a bit more affordable.Things we loved:- The venue was beautiful on the day of- The staff were all amazing, kind, and hardworking- The DJ (who they no longer work with I believe)- The food turned out amazing (we specifically requested Chef Scott and he was great) but it depends on the assigned chefThings we hated and made us wish we had partially gone with a different venue:- Immediately after giving the initial deposit, communication changed drastically. I had to email 2 or 3 times AND call before being able to get ahold of anyone or receive an answer- Our day of manager or Soire representative or whatever the role is (essentially our point of contact) changed 3 different times throughout the course of the year we had the venue.- The first person we spoke to left about 3 to 4 months before our wedding and we were never told by the venue. In fact, this person held a bulk of the \"all inclusive\" decor and we were never told directly. We were eventually informed by our planners (who do not work directly for the vendors).- We then had a different point of contact who was okay but then we are told at the rehearsal, the DAY before the wedding, that she would also be unavailable and a third person would be taking over our wedding coordination. This woman was there for 5 minutes of the rehearsal (she confused us with another coupe and didn't know our names?), and I don't remember seeing her on the day of the wedding at all.All in all,I'm sorry for the essay but do want future brides and grooms to have all information to make an informed decision. I wouldn't change a single thing about our special day, but I think that's mainly due to our outside planners (Dare to dream) and the amazing staff at this establishment. Management communication and the incredibly high turnover rate for management needs a lot of work. Book at your own risk, but I won't take away that the workers here are GREAT and made the hell planning process we had partially worth it. Reviewed on 24-11-2022
Jessica Walker(bride)1 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 20-03-2024 They seem to be very hard to get a hold of. Would take four or five days to answer iMessage in this app. Asked more than once if there’s a better way to get a hold of them such as a phone number or email finally got an answer back. They sent a message back with their email address. Just their email address no other words in the email very unprofessional. Reviewed on 24-10-2022
Sarah S(bride)3 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 30-11-2018 So I was one of the first weddings they had since buying the property in 2018. It was perfect for what we were looking for. However, many involved closely with the planning got the feeling that the owner is just in it for the money. I went through 3 wedding coordinators, the first one quit and I believe it’s because of the treatment from the owner. He said she could still help with my wedding and then changed his mind. They hired another one that I met once and she was gone. The last one was a friend of the owner’s wife who I believe came on 3 weeks before my wedding and kept disappearing throughout The whole wedding/ceremony that my sister and sister in law were running around trying to find her. I wanted to have the ceremony under the oak trees, we went and picked the perfect limb to hang our drapery with the first wedding planner and the next time we talked she said the owner had it cut down. The bridal suite was completely under construction the day BEFORE my wedding and the day of, they had just painted the vanity tables and still required 2 hours of drying after we were set to arrive. We had 150 guests that they said would fit comfortably in the stable house, however we were all packed in like sardines. They did rent 6 round tables for the center aisle and the first wedding planner confirmed linens would be provided but after she left the business he said we needed to provide it at the last minute. We argued it and he ended up covering it. He said we could come back in the morning to get our stuff but when we were making our grand exit he said there were showings the next morning and we needed to get our stuff out that night. In my contract they said they would send our safety deposit 8 days after the wedding which they did not abide by. Then I see that they deducted some because my husband was sitting in an unstable chivari chair that was incredibly old and it broke. They also deducted because of a stain that appeared after our wedding but never informed us of the deductions until I inquired about it with the FOURTH wedding planner. We were respectful of their property and never spilled anything. Make sure you have someone reliable that could do a walk through after the reception and possibly take pictures of the condition it was left with so you have evidence. Otherwise, it’s a he said/she said scenario and you even as the customer will be wrong. Reviewed on 15-02-2020
Jeanette Magdaleno(bride)1 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 20-12-2020 We took a tour at this venue and it was beautiful. It just need a little up keeping. However the owner was Extremely desperate and lacked Professionalism. My partner and I are clearly brides not bride and groom. He also kept asking questions that was clearly none of his business . On top of that every 5 minutes he kept asking do we think we want to book here? It will be $500 down . We told him we will think about it! He then said he will step out side and closed the door so we can talk about whether we wanted to book right then and there needless to say we would’ve loved to book there however he killed the whole mood and Experience. Pat Anthony(parent)1 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 06-04-2019 Brides, RUN. Our experience with this venue was absolutely horrible from beginning to end. My daughter was married here. I know small glitches are common, but this venue owner goes out of his way to make the entire experience a nightmare. We were promised things at the beginning, which then disappeared later. Luckily we had the paperwork to back us up and were willing to fight every step of the way, because he tried change his story and take the cheap way out. He described all the changes being made to the property, handing out a paper of the number of farm tables, benches, and all the accommodations for a specific number of people. A wedding planner was to be available from beginning to end with the all-inclusive pkg, which they had. The grounds were going to be beautiful and the staff would work with us every step of the way to make sure we were happy. We wouldn’t have to do anything. What a joke. In the 1st month, the only point of contact at the venue quit. The replacement quit 1 week later. Once the papers are signed and they’ve assured you how great everything will be, it stops there. The owner appeared to know little about the wedding business and didn’t seem open to suggestions. It appears he opened before the venue was ready for business, and he wasn’t willing to put the money into upgrades when needed. My daughter realized that the venue didn’t have enough farm tables & benches to accommodate the number of guests as noted in their contract and that he’d also advertised. Only when shown the paperwork that he’d signed, did he agree to build more. They were supposed to have a coordinator who was to assist in planning from beginning to end but weren’t assigned one until December (the contract was signed in June). The bathrooms (two single stalls 1 down and 1 upstairs) have old plumbing. We were concerned that if something happened to one, we’d be left without enough restroom facilities. He refused to consider renting a nice portable restroom until 2 different weddings had plumbing issues with each bathroom. Finally, he gave in and rented the portable. During the planning process the venue acquired a golf cart to transport guests from the parking lot to the venue. That sounded helpful, especially for the elderly and handicapped. I was still busy trying to resolve problems caused by the venue, I didn’t notice that the cart wasn’t being used. Someone asked if a car could be brought closer for my 92 year old uncle so he wouldn’t have & I asked where the cart was. There wasn’t one, it turns out the owner is the only person who can drive it (that makes no sense). Since the bridal couple had asked him to stay out of sight that day, he might have decided to be uncooperative again and not drive the cart for the guests. Why did they ask him to stay out of sight? Because he’d caused so much anxiety and frustration during the entire planning process, none of us could stand to think of seeing him on the wedding day! As a final dig, we had already gotten permission to pick up all of our decor the next morning. As we were getting ready to leave at the end of the reception, the owner sent word that we had to pack it all up and get it out that night. 100% absolutely, DO NOT recommend booking your wedding here.
