Built-in 1911, this property has been a staple in the community throughout the years as a dance hall and music venue. Now it has opened its doors to newlyweds who would like to hold their special day. Sons of Hermann Hall has a few event spaces available that you will have the option to choose from. Whether you want to host a small elopement or a large gathering, they can accommodate it. On the property's second floor, the Grand Ballroom is a big, versatile space that features high ceilings, wooden flooring, and an entertainment stage. This area can be the perfect blank canvas to decorate and fit your dream vision. Downstairs, The Main Bar is a smaller event space that can be rented for intimate celebrations or in conjunction with The Grand Ballroom. For your ceremony, the Old Bowling Alley room would be ideal. It boasts dark wooden beams, large windows for light, and overhead bistro lighting. At Sons of Hermann Hall, they want to make sure that your event is to your liking and runs smoothly. Tables, chairs, and linens are provided by the venue and can be arranged in any way you desire. The team here offers buffet-style dinners and complimentary Ied tea, coffee, and lemonade. We booked this venue for a retirement party and could not be more pleased with the service we received. The operations manager was very responsive, knowledgeable, and helpful and not only coordinated with the caterer, sound technician, and bands but also anticipated things we hadn't even thought of in setup and execution of the event itself. Everything ran very smoothly!The building is a wonderful historic Texas dancehall with a terrific ballroom with wooden dancefloor and raised stage. There are several other rooms available for separating meals or other activities, or (as was helpful during our event) providing quieter spaces for guests more interested in visiting than dancing. It's a well-known event space and live music hall on the edge of Deep Ellum in Dallas and was a very familiar location for us as we've been there many times. It was very special to have it for our event, and we're so happy we chose it.
