I recently had my wedding at Southpointe and it was an amazing experience. The venue is beautiful and the staff is incredibly professional and accommodating. Our wedding coordinator, Nicole, went above and beyond to make sure that everything was perfect for our special day. I would highly recommend this venue to anyone looking for a reception venue.

We are SO thankful to the Southpointe Golf Club team for making our wedding dreams come true!!!! We cannot say enough positive things about our experience here. Southpointe was our second venue we went to look at when we got engaged and after seeing the space and talking with Lauren, we were sold. Throughout the entire year the team was so incredibly helpful, responsive, transparent, and overall AMAZING to work with. We had the absolute pleasure of having Michelle as our coordinator and by the time our wedding came around, she felt like family. Michelle, along with the rest of the team truly care about their couples and wanted to make our wedding everything we could dream of plus more. I truly can’t imagine having our wedding anywhere else and don’t think we would have had the experience we had if we had our wedding elsewhere. The day of our wedding, the wedding team was amazing. I truly did not feel stress at all because the team had everything under control, and I trusted them with everything or anything that could have come our way. They made sure every detail was perfect. Our guests had SO much fun and kept saying how smooth everything was. We went with the prestigious package and the vendors Southpointe works with are the best of the best. The food here is also AMAZING. We had so many guests tell us how it was the best wedding food they have ever had, and we couldn’t agree more. Our guests still tell us how they crave the steak or crab stuffed shrimp. I will forever be thankful for the team at Southpointe and will forever be wishing I could relive the day we had there!

Choosing Southpointe Golf Club for our wedding was the best decision!!! It is absolutely beautiful, communication through the whole process couldn’t have been better. Food was phenomenal. Nicole our wedding planner was highly knowledgeable and always kept us in the loop! She made our day/night perfect and checked in throughout the night to make sure everything was how we wanted. Highly highly recommend!

Southpointe Golf Club was THE BEST place for our wedding! Michelle helped bring our dreams to reality! From getting ready on-site, to the ceremony, and the reception… it was all top notch! All of our guests commented on how beautiful the venue was and how great the food was! Many said it was the best food they’ve ever had at a wedding. Michelle and the entire SPGC team we’re extremely accommodating, made everything extremely easy, and truly made our dreams come true!

Southpointe Golf Club was the absolute best wedding venue we could’ve ever asked for! The club is gorgeous with tons of windows overlooking the golf course, the staff is so friendly and helpful, and there is plenty of space for guests to spread out and mingle. The food was incredible, the setup of all of our decor was better than anything I could’ve done or imagined myself, and they were very accommodating to all of our special requests. In particular, Lauren was SO helpful throughout the entire planning process, keeping us on track for all of our orders and deadlines, clearly explaining all of our options, and providing her own personal insight and experience to help us make the best decisions for our own wedding. Our wedding was one of the best days of our lives and a big part of that is thanks to Southpointe Gold Club and the amazing experience they created for us and our guests.

The team at Southpointe was amazing. We couldn’t have asked for a better venue to work with. From a year out until the day before they were there for you whenever you needed it or any question you may have, They have a great team of partnered vendors to pick from as well. (Dj, Florist, Bakery) We received so many compliments from our guests that the venue and service was great. The food was absolutely delicious. We couldn’t say enough great things about Southpointe!

Southpointe was excellent! We had our wedding there this past October and the team is remarkable. Heather was prompt in responding to emails, friendly, and super helpful with problem solving. She was a joy to work with! Her team, Tara and Sydney were also pleasant to meet with and very helpful. Everyone raved about the food including us! Great options and portions. The service and bartenders were great and the venue itself in the fall was beautiful. Highly recommend southpointe for any event! It was perfect and our guests had an amazing time.

Lauren, Tara, and the rest of the SPGC staff were such an amazing team to work with. They took care of every tiny detail, including coordinating with vendors and making sure the bridal party was taken care of from the second we stepped food in the building. Southpointe Golf Club was the absolute BEST venue ever! Lauren, Heather, and Tara were absolutely amazing to work with and I would recommend this venue to anybody. We set up a few days of visiting venues and SPGC ended up being the last one we went to and as soon as we walked in the door, lauren greeted us with a glass of champagne and an awesome personality and just absolutely sold us. From there, there was never any doubts or hesitations on my end that we would be taken care of. Heather, Lauren, and Tara ALL went above and beyond. They answered emails promptly, were willing to meet whenever I felt needed, and always helped me along the way. This brings me to our special day.... We are a few weeks out and are STILL getting compliments on SPGC. The set up, the service, the food, everything.. was PERFECT. We had zero complaints, our families had zero complaints, our guests absolutely LOVED it. I cannot thank the girls and employees of Southpointe enough for making our day absolutely perfect!! Stop thinking about booking and do it!

Heather, Tara & Sydney are a fabulous group of women and one heck of a wedding planning and coordinating team. We recently had our wedding at SPGC on 10-8-2022, and they knocked it out of the park. We had numerous meetings throughout the two year planning process, all of which they were super accommodating with as I was an out of town bride. Everytime I had one change, they addressed it same day or within 24 hours. For the day of, they were spot on with the timeline and ensuring that everything went according to plan. We received numerous compliments on the drinks and food at SPGC from our guests. All I can say is having your wedding at SPGC is worth every penny - it was fabulous and we owe a lot of it to these three women and their incredible attention to detail & passion for their jobs.

On behalf of the newly deemed Mr. & Mrs. Metzler, we truly could not be more pleased with the decision to have our Big Day at the wonderful SouthPointe Golf Club. They made the entire wedding planning process enjoyable and their wedding planning team (Lauren!) was top notch with how organized and easy they were to work with. With timelines for when things needed to be done, connecting us with all their vendors, etc. their entire operation was just very well organized and gave me and my wife confidence that we chose the right venue throughout our engagement. They also did a phenomenal job on our wedding day, flawlessly navigating our 22 Groomsmen & Bridesmaids throughout the day and keeping the whole event on time.If there’s one thing that we recommend to any couple considering SGC as their wedding venue, it would be to go for it and then relax- your in good hands with the SGV team. They made our wedding day perfect. Bonus Points: 1) All of our guests raved about how good the food was. We heard they had good food beforehand, but they definitely lived up to expectations 2) The mock wedding you get to attend to see all the vendors was very cool and unique3) The vendors who work with SGC were all awesome and nice to work with

Lauren and the rest of the staff at Southpointe Golf Club went way above and beyond to ensure we had the most perfect wedding experience. They seriously think of everything! We were treated like VIPs from our very first day touring the venue. Lauren was my main contact and she was so quick to respond to any question/ call/ email I had and was so very helpful. They made the stress of wedding planning so much easier than it would have been. Anytime I thought something would go wrong, the ladies at southpointe had it under control and the day went off without a hitch! I wish I could relive the day again and again it was so beautiful. The food was incredible and so was the service! Everyone kept talking about how beautiful and well kept the club itself is, and on top of that how delicious the appetizers and dinners were. Having my wedding at southpointe golf club was the best decision I could have made. They are an amazing team and they are so professional. Your day will be beautiful- they make sure of that! They literally think of everything. If you have your event there- you will be in wonderful hands! I can’t say enough good things about this club, my experience, and Lauren and the rest of the staff. I am so lucky to have had my ceremony and reception there. 10000% would recommend them to anyone thinking of getting married in the Pittsburgh area! Best of the best!

My husband and I got married at Southpointe Golf Club May 28, 2022 and it turned out better than I could have imagined! Everything from the planning process, through the week of, day of, and even days proceeding, was a positive experience! I initially worked with Heather, however halfway through planning transitioned over to working with Rebecca and they didn't skip a beat! Rebecca and Sydney made the entire day run smoothly, and I am forever grateful! The venue is beautiful, the food was amazing, and the support from the wedding staff was top notch.

The venue speaks for itself in terms of beauty! Our outdoor ceremony was absolutely beautiful and the indoor reception was just as beautiful. Rebecca, our coordinator, was very accommodating, quick to respond with every single question we had throughout the entire planning process, and was on the ball the entire day of our wedding.

We used the Southpointe Golf Club as our venue and Heather McDowell was our wedding planner! She was amazing! She met with us every step of the way and went over every detail. Heather was always available to answer all my questions, quick to set up a phone call, and calming when a stressful bride felt overwhelmed! It was an honor to work with such a prestigious vendor. Everyone was professional, accommodating, and left me to worry about nothing. Our wedding was perfect. This venue and their staff was beyond amazing and helped make our special day a little extra special.

Southpointe Golf Club was absolutely spectacular for our wedding ceremony and reception. A HUGE part of that is Heather. She helped us plan and coordinate every detail of the day. We had zero worries the day of our wedding thanks to Heather. In addition, the venue is so bright and airy. As soon as we visited Southpointe we knew this was the place for us. The food is phenomenal and the overall experience had our guests raving about it for days!

My fiancé and I do not know where to start. Southpointe was absolutely amazing! All of our guests can’t stop texting us to tell us how beautiful and fun our reception was! Not only is Southpointe stunning, but the staff made the day even more special. Heather was a pleasure to work with. She always responded to emails promptly and made the planning process so easy. We cannot thank her enough for her support through the process! The food was some of the best wedding food we have ever had and our guests were raving about their entrees. We highly recommend the prestigious package because PJ the DJ kept people on the dance floor all night long and Toni and Liz from Memories in Bloom were a dream to work with. Booking your reception at Southpointe is the best and easiest decision anyone can make!!!!

Southpointe is the most amazing spot for a wedding reception!! The ballroom is beyond beautiful with it's high ceilings and huge windows. The balcony just off the ballroom turned out to be a huge hit for our reception - it was a great place for guests to get outside and enjoy the beautiful view! But, the most amazing thing about Southpointe is Heather, the event coordinator at Southpointe. She was more than accommodating when we had to postpone our wedding, easily displayed our 2500-cookie cookie table, fully supported our Chick-Fil-A late night snack idea, and answered every one of my panicked-bride emails almost instantly. She was absolutely amazing with all of the preparation for the day as well as the day of. Everything ran so smoothly at the wedding and I am forever grateful for her. She coordinated everything so perfectly and made everything I wanted happen. She is very professional and easy to work with. Booking at Southpointe Golf Club is worth it just to work Heather!! I highly highly recommend and am so grateful we had our wedding reception at Southpointe!!

I cannot recommend Southpointe golf club enough! Heather and her team did an amazing job accommodating all of my requests and were so organized. Heather was always available to answer any questions I had, and helped me with every step along the way. Their venue was beautiful!! From the cocktail hour outside, to the reception in the ballroom, everything was beautiful! Everyone had so many amazing compliments about the food and venue. My husband and I had the wedding of our dreams here and I really couldn't picture my wedding at a different venue. Southpointe was just perfect. Great staff, food and picturesque views. The only thing I would mention is that the venue says it can hold 250 people, but if you're getting married in the ballroom I would say it would be very hard to accommodate that many people. We had 215 guests with 22 tables and really wouldn't have been able to fit one more table in the space. We had to lose our bar inside the ballroom to fit tables. Overall, Heather and her team did an amazing job planning, organizing and decorating the space to make it my dream wedding! You won't regret having your wedding here!

Words can not express how amazing Heather and the entire team at Southpointe Golf Club handled planning and organizing our wedding ceremony and reception. It’s been just about a month since our wedding and we still can not believe how perfect and beautiful the day was. Last December, we made the tough decision to postpone as our original date was in February of this year. Heather was so kind, supportive and encouraging during that moment. She assured us that everything was going to work out and we would have the wedding of our dreams. Her support meant so much as we didn’t know how things were going to turn out considering the state of the world. She handled reaching out to all of our vendors and kept everything completely organized during the date change. Something that could have easily derailed our entire experience, actually made it an even better one. She was always available to meet with my mom and I to go over details (no matter how many times we asked). The event itself was absolutely spectacular. Our guests are still telling us how beautiful and organized everything was. The food was absolutely excellent. Everything was served hot and timely and Heather was there to make sure everything went off without a hitch. She made sure my husband and I had everything we needed all night. They plated all of our cookies and the way they displayed them all looked like it was out of a magazine!!!! Thank you doesn’t even begin to be enough because of how amazing our day was!! Highly highly recommend!!!

I am beyond happy that we decided to have our wedding reception at Southpointe Golf Club. The wedding coordinator, Heather, was amazing to work with! She was super responsive throughout the entire planning process and I always felt that she truly cared about making our wedding day absolutely perfect. The venue itself is gorgeous and we loved using the golf course for pictures. The food was AMAZING!! It's been nearly 3 weeks since our wedding and I am still receiving compliments from our guests. Overall, Southpointe was wonderful to work with and I would highly recommend anyone having their wedding there.

We are SO happy to have had our vow renewal ceremony and reception at Southpointe! Heather and her team are fantastic to work with. We found Southpointe after our original venue cancelled on us six months ago. Heather took us on as the third event that week and gave us the best customer service. She was friendly, attentive, and accessible, and she made all of our wedding dreams come true. The ballroom is gorgeous, and the package options gave us a lot of fun extras like a sparkler exit! The food was absolutely incredible, and our guests truly enjoyed the ambiance. We would recommend this venue and Heather’s team to anyone looking for a relaxing, beautiful place to host your event. We are so happy to have had our event here and wish we had found it from the get go!

If you are planning a wedding and need a venue, don’t even hesitate to book Southpointe Golf Club. After our wedding was postponed a few times in 2020 and needing a new venue, we immediately chose Southpointe Golf Club. Lauren was so incredibly helpful when touring the venue and signing the contract. Heather went above and beyond with helping us plan every single detail of our special day. She is so kind, sweet, and professional and our day would not have been the same without her. She took the stress and worry away when we were our replanning our wedding and helped make it so fun! The venue is absolutely gorgeous & elegant. We had our reception on the patio with a beautiful tent with gorgeous views of the golf course. Our guests are still raving on how breathtaking it was! To add, the food and service was exceptional. We had the best day of our lives and our wedding was beyond what we could have dreamed it to be thanks to Southpointe Golf Club!!

We had our wedding at Southpointe Golf Club on April 10th 2021 and cannot speak highly enough of our experience!! We had to reschedule our wedding and change our venue due to COVID-19, but when we found Southpointe, we fell in love with the venue right away. They made the whole process of replanning our wedding absolutely effortless. The entire staff at Southpointe was wonderful, and we had such great experiences with every single employee that we worked with. However, we have to give a special shout out to Southpointe’s wedding and event planner, Heather. She is incredible! She helped us every step of the way, was so responsive, and always organized. She took the stress out of the whole planning process and made sure our wedding day ran flawlessly. Every detail was absolutely perfect and just as we had envisioned. We will never be able to thank Heather enough for all that she did for us! While our original wedding plans had to change, we can say without a doubt that Southpointe ended up being better than our original plans and more perfect than we could’ve imagined. I cannot recommend Heather and her team at Southpointe enough. I am a COVID bride who needed to reschedule 4 times, and Heather was nothing but supportive and accommodating throughout the entire process. The reception was absolutely GORGEOUS, we have been receiving compliments for several days. Each detail was so thought out and Heather did an amazing job at letting us know what to expect the day of. Wedding planning is stressful enough, and then adding COVID on top of it just made it even crazier, but Heather made everything so much easier for us. I would recommend Southpointe to anyone looking for a wedding reception venue!

I do not think I will ever be able to thank the team at Southpointe Golf Club enough. When we realized having a wedding downtown during a pandemic would never work, we reached out to them to book and they were amazing to work with. Then, when we had to postpone our 12/12 date, they did everything they could to make me feel at ease and hopeful for our new 4/17 date. Heather is amazing to work with and will answer any question you have. I loved the fact they were all about doing the Christmas in April wedding since we could not have our Christmas December wedding. They put up a Christmas Tree and garland and supported us in this somewhat untraditional idea the entire time. The best part about switching was that I ended up getting the ideal wedding I always dreamed of. Southpointe is gorgeous and it was always the kind of venue I had in my head. The food is amazing and anyone there on staff will help you with anything you need that night. I have recommended Southpointe to a ton of brides and I will continue to do so. Thank you again for everything; you made my dream wedding come true.

Southpointe Golf Club is the most wonderful venue I could ever ask for! We booked our 2020 wedding almost two years ago. Lauren and Heather were wonderful to work with. Through all the restrictions involved with COVID, Southpointe Golf Club went above and beyond to make us and our guests as comfortable as possible, while also giving us a gorgeous and fun wedding. I still have friends/family raving about the food and how fun our outdoor-end of October wedding was. After every single hurdle with COVID, Heather was so kind and was always looking for new ways to help with the wedding. The vendors that are recommended by Southpointe are also amazing. I loved our DJ, cake and florist so much and would recommend them to everyone. If you are looking for an elegant, fun and delicious wedding- chose Southpointe!

Amazing staff! We chose Southpointe Golf Club for my daughter's bridal shower. The ballroom is beautiful. Unfortunately 3 days before the shower, due to COVID, we were unable to hold the shower indoors. After speaking with our event planner, Heather, we were able to hold the shower on the beautiful outside patio. No matter what the issue was, Heather was available to assist and make it work. I would definitely recommend this beautiful venue.

As the mother of the bride there were so many emotions, disappointments, reschedules, revisions during the planning of our daughters 2020 wedding. A month before our reschedule date, our original venue cancelled and within 3 days we were able to book at SPGC without any hesitations. Being from Baltimore and not able to be with our daughter in Pittsburgh was difficult but she assured me that Lauren and Heather and SPGC were the perfect match for us. 2 weeks prior we were again facing another decision to either reduce the guest list again or move it outside. When the decision was made to move it outside, recommendations and suggestions from Heather led us in the right direction for tenting and layout. Upon arrival to the club 3 days before the wedding to do a final meeting with Heather, I was impressed with not only the golf club and it’s grounds and views but also with the professionalism and caring attitude of Heather. Even though she had only met my daughter and son-in-law a month prior, she knew exactly what they wanted and it was evident she was going to make sure their wedding reception was going to happen just as they wanted. The day before, she took the time to FaceTime us to be sure what she had started to set up was our exact vision and when we asked for a change she was able to accommodate us on the fly. Upon my arrival, Heather dropped everything so she could show me some changes to make sure I was ok with them and her decisions were perfect!! The reception was spectacular, the food (especially the appetizers) was top notch, the staff treated us and our guests like royalty making sure throughout the evening that everything was going as planned and that they met our expectations. Heather and the team at SPGC was fantastic and I highly recommend them for any wedding events!

I cannot say enough how grateful I am to have been a SPGC bride. I came to SPGC with about a month until my wedding because my original venue was cancelling on us. After postponing once already, I was overwhelmed but determined. Lauren, the sales director, was responsive, kind, understanding, and willing to work with us to have the wedding we had been dreaming about. After signing a contract within 3 days of contacting her, I met our wedding coordinator, Heather. She is my all time favorite human being. Heather understood my vision and made it happen. While we planned a ballroom wedding, COVID forced us outside and Heather was there every step of the way to help me figure out how to get the vibe and style I dreamed of. She FaceTimed me when the tents were set up, she let me change floor plans 5 times, she was honest and helpful every single time we spoke. SPGC had multiple weddings and events in the weeks leading up to my wedding but I felt like the ONLY BRIDE the entire time. Wedding day arrived and Heather and her team executed everything perfectly. She handled some family drama, made my mother feel special and included, figured out how to present my grooms cake and brought my husband a toothbrush when the icing turned his teeth a funky color. Her team brought me my own plate of mashed potatoes when it became clear they were my favorite part of the meal and kept our drinks full through dinner. My parents said they felt like VIPs. Everyone raved about the food, especially the bacon wrapped scallops appetizer. Every staff member was aware of the entire plan for the event and who the important people were. I felt like royalty. Not to mention the gorgeous views my guests were able to enjoy all night. Planning a wedding in 2020 was a rollercoaster but landing at SPGC was an absolute blessing. My day was perfect and Heather gets so much credit for it. SPGC was worth every penny.

From their first email down to the rescheduled wedding date, and every COVID-19 driven change in between, Lauren Mitchell, Heather McDowell and their team were nothing short of flawless. Our original wedding date, schedule for the beginning of May, very quickly changed due to the global pandemic that struck our world, just two short months before our big day. Heather stayed in constant communication with us, offering support, guidance and flexibility to ensure our day looked as close to how we had envisioned within the guidelines that regulations would allow. Our day simply could not have happened without Heather or the Southpointe Golf Club Team. Having a “COVID” wedding presented stresses up until the final hours before the wedding, but having such an amazing team supporting you made each decision easier. We used each and every vendor Southpointe Golf Club recommended in the Prestigious Package and could not have been more blessed with the amount of talent or the level of kindness their vendors possess. If you’re looking for a venue that will offer a classic, timeless atmosphere, amazing food, professional service and memories to carry with you and your guests...this is your place. To Heather and all of the SPGC team, I will never forget how amazing our experience with your venue was. This was the best decision we have ever made. From the beginning, Lauren was very helpful in helping us decide which wedding package was best for us, and she really helped us to envision what our day would be like at the club. Heather, the private events director, is truly an angel! She was always available to answer any questions that we had throughout the planning process. On the days leading up to the wedding, she was there to ensure that I was organized and had everything we needed to make our wedding day perfect. The day of the wedding, she was there from start to finish to make sure that the day was running smoothly. From the moment we walked in doing our first tour of the venue until the time we left on our Wedding night, we have been in complete awe of the amazing service and all around attentiveness of the staff. Heather is a god sent and absolutely AMAZING. I am so Type A, and she made me feel at ease and stress free the entire year that we emailed back and fourth about everything and anything wedding related. So timely, so accommodating and so genuinely invested in making sure our special day went perfectly. We cannot say enough good things. We truly wish we could relive the day over and over again!

My husband and I had our wedding reception at Southpointe Golf Club in Oct 2019 and they made our evening absolutely perfect and we LOVED everything! Heather McDowell, the coordinator there, is absolutely amazing and made our wedding reception stress free. We had multiple meetings with Heather to figure out all the details and she was also extremely responsive via email or phone. All of the staff are extremely professional. The food was also really delicious! The ballroom is beautiful, elegant, and bright with many windows which is one of the main reasons we loved it there. There is also an outdoor veranda, which was great for cocktail hour. We have received so many complements from family and friends! I cannot recommend Soutpointe Golf Club enough and am so thankful we chose to have our wedding at such a wonderful venue!!

My husband and I chose Southpointe Golf Club for our wedding reception and our entire experience - from the planning to the completely magical day of - was wonderful!We chose Southpointe for the beautiful ballroom, location, and all around classy feel - even without decor, each space (from the ballroom and balcony, to the ladies’ locker room) is beautiful on its own. With exquisite food and accents like Chiavari chairs included in their packages, every element of the reception was handled superbly by Heather and her team - and having everything included made it so easy for us!Heather was a dream to work with! I cannot say enough about how amazing she, Makenzie, and Lauren handled everything leading up to and on the day itself. Communication was always timely, and Heather orchestrated everything the day-of with such detail - from helping set up the ballroom and decor, to making sure the events of the evening ran smoothly. We received so many compliments from our guests on the beauty of the space, deliciousness of the food, and the incredible attentiveness of the staff. I am completely blown away with everything the team at SPGC has done for us. If we had to do it all over again, we’d choose Southpointe Golf Club in a heartbeat!

We had our wedding on Sept. 7, 2019 at Southpointe Golf Club, and the day was a dream come true! We had both our ceremony and reception at SPGC. The venue is so beautiful, classic, and up-to-date. The ballroom provided the perfect space for the ceremony and reception. Our guests also enjoyed the bar and veranda during cocktail hour while the room was being flipped. My husband and I did our first-look photo shoot out on the green, and then had access to a golf cart for our bridal portraits. There are so many places for photos with a variety of backgrounds on the premises. The staff at SPGC is top-notch. Every member of staff was friendly and helpful. Heather, the Events Director, was the absolute best! She helped us with every step of planning and answered any question we had leading up to the wedding. During the rehearsal and wedding, she made sure every thing was set up properly and ran smoothly. We can't thank her enough! I would recommend SPGC to anyone looking for a wedding venue.

We LOVED our experience with Southpointe Golf Club! My husband and I chose to have our reception at Southpointe based on the location, flexibility and beautiful ballroom. We loved how bright, updated and open the ballroom was, but it still felt so classic and elegant. It was also so nice how they setup cocktail hour and then switched it over during dinner to partly be a separate cookie table room. The ‘Pittsburgh Cookie Table’ was very important to us! We also loved the number of packages they offer to customize your wedding. When we first started looking at venues we noticed that Southpointe’s packages seemed to be very all encompassing compared to other venues. It was so nice that we could make so many decisions with Heather at Southpointe and not have to research a ton of different third party vendors to find what we wanted (i.e. chiavari chairs, table linens, charger plates and uplighting). We loved that we could choose a package to fit what was important to us (i.e champagne toast). What we ended up with was an amazing experience leading up to our big day and the best reception we could have ever asked for. Heather McDowell, Lauren Mitchell and McKenzie were all so amazing to work with, and they really did make the planning process as simple and relaxed as possible. Heather was so responsive when it came to setting up meeting times and responding to emails which was so helpful! She was also always willing to help give advice on things that we were somewhat unsure of (i.e. cocktail hour/ dinner table layout and linens). We were always able to get in touch with her up until the day before the wedding. We had several meetings to discuss logistics of the reception and she helped us a lot with our day of timeline. It was such a relief knowing that she was always on top of everything and I had nothing to worry about on the day of. The whole day turned out perfectly thanks to this wonderful team! Lastly, the staff is also fantastic - they were all attentive, professional and very kind to guests, our families and the bridal party. I can't recommend the Southpointe Golf Club enough – we are so lucky they welcomed us to celebrate our big day with them!

I worked with Heather from the beginning and she was professional and prompt from the first email. Her food suggestions were delicious. She even helped decorate the room for me so I didn’t have to go there the morning of. She was attentive and present at the event and made sure everything was going smoothly and on time! I had the most perfect wedding day! I loved using Southpointe Golf Club as both my ceremony and reception site. They are such a beautiful venue as is that I really didn't even have to decorate extra besides my tables. I was so happy to find they had neutral colors in their ballroom (I was really turned off my some hotel carpet), and they had these grand chandeliers. The windows overlooked the golf course and my guests loved having the veranda and patio as extra space to step out during the reception. We took pictures inside, outside, on the golf course - all looked amazing whatever our background was. Heather and Lauren made it so easy to plan. They were both very responsive to any questions I had while planning, usually responding within minutes. They were so sweet and really made sure my day ran flawlessly. I cannot thank Lauren enough for everything she did on my wedding day. She was so on top of everything and so bubbly and kind throughout the entire day. We had our ceremony in the same room as the reception. The ceremony space was already set up when I got there to finish getting ready and it was so nice to see it prior to the ceremony. The staff flipped the room during cocktail hour to make my reception space incredible. My guests cannot stop RAVING about the food. I've had numerous people tell me it was one of the best filets they have ever had, and others said our chicken and polenta choices were also amazing. I feel like food is a huge thing people notice at weddings and I am so happy everyone was satisfied with their meals. They were so accommodating to my wants, such as a sparkler send off and setting up the reception exactly how I envisioned and told them. If I could plan all over I would choose Southpointe Golf Club as my venue again. Thank you for everything!

My husband and I got married in April at Southpointe Golf Club. Our wedding was absolutely beautiful! Heather is the best coordinator to have by a brides side during the wedding planning process. She is very knowledgeable and quick to respond to questions and any concerns we had. The food was delicious and the setup and organization of our wedding was completely handled by Heather. She took a lot of stress away from me. We did have a few minor complaints though. Whenever we first toured Southpointe,(we did not tour with Heather) we were never told that we had to use Southpointe vendors only for linen rentals and outdoor ceremony chair rental/fee. Although due to weather our ceremony was pulled inside and used that set for the cookie traying fee which was rather high.Other than those minor complaints, like I said before, our wedding was amazing and Heather is the best coordinator to have!

From the minute we toured Southpointe Golf Club, we knew it was the wedding venue for us. It had everything we wanted from a smaller, beautiful ballroom, to ample space for our guests to move around, to the veranda that overlooks the golf course. From then on things just got better! Heather was so great to work with from beginning to end, whether it was dealing with any issues that came up, to just guiding us and giving us helpful tips throughout the way. She truly is a shining star and a huge asset to Southpointe's staff. As for the wedding itself, our guests raved about how beautiful the club was and how wonderfully the food was prepared. It's always nice when your guests tell you they had a great time, but even better when they say it is one of the best weddings they've ever been too. We can't thank Southpointe and Heather enough for everything they did for us, and we look forward to recommending the club to all of our newly or soon-to-be engaged friends!

This facility was amazing. Heather McDowell was truly amazing, she made sure the whole reception from morning til evening ran smoothly and beautifully. This facility pampered us and made us truly feel special. The food is to die for especially the pan seared scallops and salmon. The ball room was set up so perfectly and beautifully. The amount of personal service you receive and what you get for the money is unbelievable, it is so worth what you would spend any where else. The facility is beautiful inside and out and the ball room is classy and elegant. I am so very glad we found Heather McDowell and South Pointe Golf Club, I would recommend this place to anyone that wants a beautiful, elegant wedding and 5 star treatment. Southpointe went above and beyond in every area of service for our wedding. Heather, the wedding coordinator, was fantastic and so easy to work with throughout the whole process. Even on her days off, she was readily available to answer any questions that came up. The day of the wedding everything could not have gone smoother. I had absolutely no stress at all! All of our guests could not stop saying how wonderful the venue was and how nice all of the staff was to them. They especially could not get over how every filet was cooked to perfection! What an incredible venue with every single detail pre-planned! Southpointe is no stranger to hosting weddings, and they completely knocked mine out of the park. I love mentioning that the most favorite wedding I have ever been to is mine! I had 125 guests for a beautiful, traditional wedding.I planned my wedding from out of state, and exchanged dozens upon dozens of e-mails with Southpointe. They were timely, eager to help, and thought of every detail. There is so much involved, and all was taken care of ahead of time. During our food tasting, we had multiple managers discuss our wedding with us and introduce us. I thought that was a particularly nice touch. There are so many things I couldn't stand about weddings I've gone to in the past. Some of these are lack of food, quality of food, lack of professionalism and organization, venue itself, waiting forever to be served, etc. None of this happened with Southpointe! My food was top notch- not even just for a wedding- and the appetizers were delicious. The views from the clubhouse were beautiful. The clubhouse was just newly renovated, so the decor was beautiful and up to date. The new tables, linens, and new chairs all added to our ambience. Southpointe is so organized with every single detail that all tables were even served at the same time. No one had to wait for their meal to come out to begin eating. Our wedding planner Lauren went way above and beyond her call of duty to help us throughout the whole process. I'm so grateful to have had my wedding at Southpointe! I had many, many people remark to me that it was also the nicest wedding they'd ever been to. So many thank yous to the staff, keep up the good work!!!

We had a wonderful experience at Southpointe Golf Club for our September 2015 wedding! We could not have been happier! The wedding coordinators, Lauren Mitchell and Marcy Boggio, were amazing to work with and the staff was great and attentive! The food was terrific and we heard from most of our guests that it was the best food they ever had at a wedding! We thought the venue was beautiful when we first booked it, and then were pleasantly surprised at how amazing it looked after all of the renovations! Everything went so smoothly the day of the wedding and we did not have to worry about a thing thanks to the expertise of Marcy and the Southpointe staff! Our wedding at Southpointe Golf Club was absolutely perfect! The food, venue itself, and staff were all just wonderful. Their event coordinator Lauren Mitchell is the greatest! She walked us through the planning process every step of the way and made our wedding not only successful but absolutely the perfect day!

We are so happy we chose Southpointe Golf Club as the venue for our wedding reception. All of the planning went so smoothly! Lauren was great to work with and was so helpful throughout the entire process. We had about 180 guests and the ballroom was a perfect size for that number. We had so many guests compliment us on the look of the venue as well as the food. Everyone said it was delicious! I could not have asked for a more perfect day. We were lucky enough to have a beautiful September day and were able to use the outdoor terrace for cocktail hour as well as throughout the reception. Thank you Southpointe Golf Club for making our day so fun and memorable!

Southpointe Golf Club was the best venue would could have possibly chosen for our wedding. We had about 180 guests, and the size of the ballroom was perfect. We were extremely happy with Lauren, the wedding coordinator, as well as the rest of the staff there. Planning, communication, special requests, etc., were all taken care of quickly, very smoothly, and always to our liking. The food was delicious and the ballroom itself was decorated and set up above and beyond what I ever imagined...it was perfect! We highly recommend this venue to anyone!

We could not have had a better experience at Southpointe. Lauren Mitchell was a pleasure to work with, and a huge help through the planning process. She could not have been any more on top of things. The day-of staff was wonderful, and we received non-stop compliments on the food. Hands-down the best decision we could have made.

I recently held my October wedding reception at Southpointe Golf Club. Everything about the reception exceeded my expectations. During the planning process, Mandy and the others at Southpointe were easy to work with and made sure that everything we wanted was incorporated. In the few weeks leading up to the wedding, Southpointe checked in multiple times to make sure the food, setup, counts, etc. were all correct and taken care of. The day of was absolutely beautiful. We were able to utilize the balcony for cocktail hour and got lots of positive feedback on how perfect everything was. The ballroom accommodated our 140 guests perfectly. All meals were brought out hot, and cooked perfectly. We received so many positive reviews on the food and service. Quite a few guests wanted the recipe for the Butternut Squash soup, as it was that good! All throughout the night, Trish checked in with my husband and I, as well as my parents, to ensure everything was going smoothly and exactly as we had envisioned. I will be sure to recommend Southpointe to others looking for a wedding venue. I couldn't be happier with how everything turned out.

I cannot say enough wonderful things about the Southpointe Golf Club. The staff is wonderful, the food delicious and atmosphere perfect for a wedding. I would not hesitate to recommend them for any event!

The only positive feedback I'll give about the Golf Club is that it's beautiful. The wait staff was terrible, you couldn't get a drink from any bar unless you were either a Club Member or you paid for the bar for your entire group/event and the food was loaded with peanuts and the food was not marked accordingly. Not to mention, it wasn't very good and the few folks who ate the vegie wrap got sick :-(

Our June wedding at Southpointe was truly the best day of our lives. There was not one single thing that didn't go according to plan. Mandy, Trish, and all of the staff members were excellent to work with. They helped with every detail and made sure we were on track and tended to the entire day. Everything was even more perfect than I could have imagined. Everyone complimented the venue, the food, and how smoothly the day went. We were able to enjoy each moment, worry free.

I am not a member or a golfer, so I can't comment on the quality of the golf club itself (which my friends tell me is very nice). However, I can say this is not a good place to have a wedding or wedding reception. The wedding coordinator told my fiancee and I that the club was available for a reception on our wedding date, when in fact another couple had already reserved it. She led us to believe that we were having our reception at the club, wasting several weeks of our time that could have been spent finding another venue, just so that she could have a backup plan in case the other couple changed their minds and cancelled. (Even after she had admitted someone else had already reserved the club for our wedding date, she still wanted us to come in for a tour!)\rShe was also extremely unresponsive to emails and phone calls; throughout the process we had to send multiple emails or leave multiple phone messages (she rarely picked up the phone, even when we called her back within two minutes of when she finally left us a message) just to get one response. I can't imagine what it would have been like to try to actually plan the reception details with such an unresponsive person. The only reason we kept pursuing Southpointe as a reception venue was that friends who had been to other wedding receptions at the club had told us that it was a very nice venue.\rI probably would have understood being misled about the club's availability if there had been some sort of extenuating circumstance or accidental miscommunication, but the coordinator informed us that this is the way she does business. I would warn other couples to stay away from Southpointe Golf Club to avoid the stress of having to switch up this important part of their wedding day at the last minute and quickly find another satisfactory reception venue that hasn't been booked. Honesty and communication are an integral part of doing business, as the wedding coordinator at nearby Lindenwood Golf Club demonstrated when she returned our call within a couple hours, scheduled a tour with us for the next weekend (coming in to meet with us on her day off when the rest of the club was closed), answered all our questions, and had a contract ready for us to sign the next day.

I had wanted my wedding at Southpointe Golf Club since I was 16. Eleven years later, my wedding couldn't have been more beautiful. The people at Southpointe couldn't have been more helpful and accomadating. We also received comments from our other vendors stating how great Southpointe was to work with.\rIn addition to being filled with wonderful employees willing to do everything they can to give you a beautiful event, the venue itself is exquisite. From the balcony overlooking the golf course, to the pub where the cocktail hour is, to the ballroom itself...everything is beautiful.\rMandy was a joy to work with ahead of time and Trish was a wonderful \"day of\" person. She came over to my husband and I many times to make sure we were ok, if she could get us anything, and just to see if we were having a good time in general.\rWe had a wonderful experience with Southpointe and couldn't be happier with our decision. I will recommend them to anyone!
