A Hidden Rustic Elegant Barn 30 minutes from Omaha
Situated in Louisville, NE, Sparks Barn is a wedding venue filled with authentic country charm. This historic farm is family-owned and operated by the Sparks family and dates back to 1865. The newly-refurbished barn has been reimagined to suit special occasions and elegant events and overlooks scenic farmlands and a peaceful pond. Owner Rhonda Sparks is proud to welcome prospective newlyweds to her family’s unique and picturesque estate. Sparks Barn offers both indoor and outdoor event spaces for your special day and has a capacity of up to 350 friends and family members. All kinds of ceremonies are welcome at this destination, from civil unions and vow renewals to religious ceremonies and interfaith weddings. You can say “I do” on the lawn, overlooking the water feature and surrounded by rustic yet refined altar decor. Afterward, guests can enjoy cocktail hour at the indoor or outdoor bar and socialize together while savoring the beautiful vistas of Nebraska’s countryside. Evening receptions are held in the state-of-the-art barn, which has been renovated to retain its traditional aesthetic while also accommodating modern comforts such as air control, WiFi, and a SONOS sound system. This space holds up to 300 people and a cathedral tent can be incorporated to elevate the setting. Characterized by lofty wooden ceilings, large windows on two sides, and elegant light fixtures, it is the perfect place to mark your milestone celebration. Large, upscale banquet tables are laid out according to your floor plans, alongside pristine white chairs that add subtle sophistication. The restrooms are wheelchair accessible and preparation rooms are provided for wedding party’s to pamper and refresh. Rhonda and her dedicated team are on hand to make your wishes a reality. They provide service staff for weddings and receptions and will endeavor to tend to your guests with warm hospitality and high-end service. It’s been about two months now since my Husband and I got married at Sparks Barn, and no one has been able to stop ranting on about how amazing that day was. To be honest, we couldn’t have made it better without The Sparks and their absolutely beautiful venue! Rhona was helpful, informative, patient and amazing! The place has such natural and detailed beauty! So much character and charm, we didn’t need much decorations at all. We would recommend this place over and over again! Thank you for making our Wedding day one to remember!

Rhonda and her team were amazing and the venue is beautiful. Planning for months for one day is extremely stressful, but Rhonda helped us make sure the day of went perfect. During the whole process we only had one minor disagreement, but Rhonda was easy to work with and it ended up being a non-issue. The staff was courteous and the bartenders were speedy. We ended up using Rhonda's recommendation of having two bars and had zero complaints about waiting for a drink! We set up the ceremony space the day before and Rhonda's team took it down so we didn't miss a second of our reception. The ability to choose our own vendors was huge for us, the flexibility it provided was a godsend. Having a wedding in August in Nebraska, you can never be too sure of the weather, but Rhonda came prepared with a backup plan for an inside ceremony and reception! Pleasant through the whole process, we couldn't recommend her and her team enough. The venue is stunning as well, all of our guest were blown away that a venue liked this was tucked away just outside of Louisville. Absolutely would recommend this place to any couple looking for an outdoor/indoor space.

Rhonda and the sparks barn team were extraordinarily helpful in preparation of our special day. The venue itself is so beautiful and we had great weather at the end of april. The sparks barn team made sure we had everything set up for our unique ceremony and were really accommodating with meeting remotely and visiting the site before the wedding. If your thinking about this venue vs others maybe closer to Omaha, we were so happy we went with this venue and the drive out there was not bad at all - plenty of parking there and bus charter options to and from the venue. Really can't say enough about how helpful Rhonda was and how great this venue is!

BEAUTIFUL venue, sadly our interactions with Rhonda and her husband on our wedding day were extremely unprofessional and rude. This is so sad because everything up until our wedding day was great with her and with all the reviews raving about her and the venue, I had no doubt in my mind the day was going to go smooth. My last memory before we walked out of the venue is her and her husband telling us (with extreme attitude and a rude tone) that there was so much miscommunication from us. When the truth is, we have a HANDFUL of instances throughout the entire day where Rhonda told us one thing and then that's not actually what was happening or her husband was mad with us (not our fault?) and said that's not the way things were. Also during our last interaction, she said I emailed her too much and had too many questions. WHAT??? I'm so glad I emailed her all my questions though because that way we had a record of what we were being told and could back ourselves up! The other major problem we had was the alcohol prices. For future brides, I highly recommend getting in writing what they are going to charge for drinks. It's a great way to protect both you and the venue. Her staff was so great, but both my and my husband's family had too many interactions with her and especially her husband throughout the day that tarnished our viewpoint. I'm so happy for the other brides and grooms that had a great experience with her and her husband!

Sparks Barn was the most PERFECT venue for our wedding day. Rhonda is a complete breath of fresh air to work with and was an energizer throughout the whole process. If I could give this venue 10 out of 5 stars, I would! SUCH a beautiful, unique, peaceful setting to start your forever!

This is a fairly new venue to the Omaha/Lincoln area and I'm so glad we found them! They were easy to work with and made sure everything was perfect. The whole venue is setup perfectly from the parking to the bathrooms to the barn itself. Having my daughter's wedding in such a beautiful and secluded country setting made it feel like our own little world for the day! Being on a hill, the barn has a gorgeous view of the surrounding area. What a perfect day!

I had never been to a wedding here before and I had no idea there was a venue like this so close to Omaha and Lincoln. It is the perfect mix of a country setting with an elegant barn. The lodgepole pine interior is stunning and then you walk outside and see the pond and creek. Wow! I love their indoor/outdoor bar setup. It makes it really convenient to grab a drink or snack. My wife and I had a great time! I hope we get invited to another wedding there soon!

I've been to a couple events at Sparks Barn and it is an incredible venue! There is so much potential for any type of event here. Their huge outdoor space gives you so many options. A wedding I went to used it for a cathedral style tent and it was beautiful inside with big windows that faced the pond. The other event used it as an outdoor bar and it was very relaxing to kick my feet up and have a drink overlooking the pond and creek. You can tell the owners take a lot of pride in keeping it very nice.

I booked the SparksBarn for a Couple's shower. I found it through Facebook and I'm so glad I did. They took this rugged old barn and turned it into an incredibly, beautiful event barn. It was so perfect for our theme and the location was great. The owners were easy to work with and super reliable. They are kind hearted people and worked with us on everything we needed. Being able to connect to the over head speakers, to play music, was probably the best part. I would recommend the SparksBarn to anyone. It would be perfect for any occasion.

We went to a wedding at Sparks Barn and it was beautiful. The inside is set up so convenient and is so beautiful. The views from outside the barn are spectacular. The wedding we went to was by the pond, most beautiful ceremony ever! We booked it for a graduation party, I can’t wait to share pictures!

Rhonda Sparks (Owner) I'm a mom, wife, teacher and enjoyer of life! I love being around people who smile, laugh and don't take life too seriously. I'm a problem solver, organizer, detail oriented, Git-R-Done kind of girl. I am happy when everyone in the room is having a good time.I fell into the wedding barn venue by chance, it wasn't planned, it just happened. My son and his fiancé asked if they could use the family barn for their wedding and with hard work, good friends and family we turned their dream wedding into a reality.
