A venue coordinator will be with you every step of the way to help you create your special day. We offer in-house catering with delicious food options and spaces that can be tailored and designed to perfectly accommodate your vision. Our Moosehead Room seats up to 135 guests and our Bear Paw Room can hold up to 300 guests for your reception. Dorothy is amazing and made the process of planning my own wedding a breeze. They do yearly food tasting. They provide: chairs, table cloths, glassware, silverware, and catering. The Italian buffet was a huge hit and fit in with our guest dietary restrictions. Must get food/drinks from them but you can bring your own dessert. We did our ceremony outside but there is an inside option as well with the ever changing Duluth weather.

Spirit Mountain was so easy and friendly to work with! Dorothy was easy to contact with any questions and quick to respond with answers. The staff the night of was friendly and fun which made the guests happy. Great venue to work with and a great view for a wedding!

Every part of the experience was good for us. Really, the only negative thing I could say is that the carpet throughout the venue is in desperate need of replacement. Knowing the abuse it takes from skiers in the winter, it’s understandable. They just need to speed up the frequency of replacement. Aside from that, we couldn’t be happier. Staff was very helpful. Everything involving Spirit Mountain went smoothly.

Spirit Mountain was the perfect venue for our wedding. From the gorgeous views overlooking Lake Superior in the MooseHead room to the lush greenery which served as a stunning backdrop for wedding photos, this venue truly left us amazed. We had a very good experience working with the venue staff throughout our entire experience, from planning to the day of. Overall everyone was very responsive, friendly, and professional. We especially want to highlight the efforts of the head chef who not only worked with us to create a new dish to accommodate our guests who subscribe to more plant-based diets, but also his leadership and great care which led to everything tasting AMAZING (e.g., prime rib, potatoes, vegetables, etc.). Our guests repeatedly gave us the feedback that the venue food was SO GOOD which was great to hear. We absolutely recommend Spirit Mountain for a lovely wedding venue!

We had a great time! The venue was beautiful and even with the poor weather, the team was quick to adjust to an indoor ceremony! Dorothy had timely communication and she’s an eco girl like me! Bar staff made sure everyone had a great time and everyone raved about the food!

The team at Spirit mountain was so easy to work with from touring through the day of. They are very organized and very transparent about pricing/packages. Dorothy was always quick to respond and had thorough answers to any questions that arose leading up to the day. She also worked with us to get in our desired craft beer on tap. Everything went as expected for the set up, rehearsal and the day of. The food/drink service was efficient and professional. The food itself is simple - I definitely was glad that I went to the tasting day that they hold in the spring before choosing our menu. We went with the pasta bar which seemed to go over well.

I got married at Spirit Mountain on 8/20/22. I worked with Dorothy and saying she's amazing is an understatement. She was wonderful at replying in a timely manner, she was always so helpful, and was incredibly patient. We were married indoors and the reception was held in the Bear Paw room. It was a beautiful venue, with kind staff, the food was amazing - I was shocked at how many compliments we received on the food- and all around perfect. 10/10 recommend!

I got married at Spirit Mountain on 8/28/21 and had a great experience! I worked with Dorothy (who is literally amazing and I don’t know what I would have done without her) through the entire process and she made all the planning so easy. My reception was in the Moosehead room and it was beautiful. The food was fantastic and the drinks were good and strong. Unfortunately, I planned for an outdoor ceremony but severe storms ruined that… however the staff quickly set up a ceremony space indoors and it was great. Highly recommend!

When my husband proposed, as we live locally, Spirit Mountain was my top choice! I cannot say enough about how amazing our entire experience was! Dorothy, the event coordinator is a literal angel. She answered all of my questions (there were a lot) and made the entire planning process so fun and stress free! The facilities were absolutely stunning, and the view speaks for itself! We used their ceremony space and were able to utilize a GORGEOUS arch that we had decorated. The staff there are truly outstanding and I am so happy we chose this venue! If you are thinking of getting married in Duluth, Spirit is your best option hands down!

We had such an amazing weekend having our wedding at Spirit. Dorothy was so helpful in coordinating any of our needs, and very receptive to making our requests work whenever possible. Although we were hoping for an outside wedding, the weather did not cooperate, but it was amazingly beautiful indoors and it kept all of our guests dry and warm. We hosted the rehearsal dinner at Spirit as well, which was very nice for us to just stay right there after the ceremony run through, having the whole bar to ourselves for the night. For our wedding day, we chose the lasagna and that was an absolute hit from our guests, then pizza at the end of the night!! Spirit happily accommodated our live band that we hired for the reception, as well as live music played by family and friends during the ceremony. When planning your wedding here, I would make sure to either have a crew helping set up/tear down or hiring help because it gets to be a lot the day of, and we did have a few (minor) things go missing after the night that seem like were thrown away. I would also note that we chose to rent a dance floor because the Bearpaw room does not have one available. Overall, I would 100% recommend Spirit Mountain to anyone planning their wedding. We would book them over and over again!

Our day turned out better than we had even imagined! The venue has many gorgeous views for ceremony and reception, as well as bridal suite. Dorothy was fantastic to work with, and made sure everything was a breeze. The staff was amazing, and the food was delicious. Spirit Mountain was very easy to work with, and had quality vendor recommendations that had all worked together previously. This made planning super simple! The treehouses onsite were a huge perk that our family loved. Thank you for the perfect wedding.

Getting married on top of Spirit Mountain was breath taking. The views from the wedding deck and the Moosehead room were amazing. The food was also a delight and there was plenty of food for all of our guests. The staff were easy to get a hold of, timely with responses, very friendly, and made our day go on without a hitch. We had a family member marry us and Spirit was able to help us run and organize our rehearsal! I can’t say enough about how thankful we are we chose to get married here!

The views are AMAZING! The interior is rustic and cozy (even though it is a large space). There was a wedding there the night before us so we weren't able to decorate until 8am the morning of. When we got there to decorate at 8am, they weren't quite ready for us and that made us run a little behind for the majority of the morning. Otherwise it was a beautiful space and staff was very friendly.

Everything about this venue was fantastic. From the location, to the attentive staff, to the food..... John & Jennifer were great. They were fast at returning phone calls & answering questions. They also were able to make excellent recommendations for decorators & other vendors that were able to make our wedding day everything we wanted it to be! Spirit Mountain staff were able to help us relax & enjoy our wedding because we were so well taken care of!

Spirit mountain was a beautiful location for our ceremony and reception! they were also so helpful in the process of set up and planning. Our day was amazing thanks to their staff and support. (only downfall was a lag in communication when they switched coordinators) but all went smoothly

Everything about the process was amazing. I would use this venue again in a SECOND. The food was delicious. They always answered all questions in a timely manner. The location is GORGEOUS. I can't sing the praises of this wedding venue enough. My favorite part was that they covered all food, alcohol, and event coordination. It was a seamless process and didn't require going through many different vendors.Also, it was a little nerve wracking being a gay couple getting married - you always worry about awkward reactions, the assumption of having a bride, etc...this venue was perfect. Never once did we feel uncomfortable.

Couldn't have asked for a better reception! The staff was so helpful and easy to work with. The servers and bartenders were all friendly and attentive. Had absolutely no issues with planning, and everything went perfectly smoothly on our day. It was also one of the more affordable venues in Duluth, and one of the most beautiful. The food was delicious and they had a great vegetarian option. I really can't say enough good things about our experience with Spirit, it was perfect. We had our ceremony at Enger and a thunderstorm rolled through, and someone from Spirit called and offered to have us come early and hold our ceremony indoors. We ended up having the ceremony at Enger with pouring rain (it was very romantic) but just knowing they were thinking of us and were so accommodating was a wonderful feeling. Choose Spirit Mountain for your venue, you will love it!

Most of our guests were out of town and were not very familiar with Duluth, so our guests loved that the ceremony, reception, and lodging (at the Villas) were all at Spirit Mountain. Johannah was so nice and easy to work with! I highly recommend having your wedding at Spirit Mountain! You won't regret it!!

It was an amazing day! Johannah worked so hard to make sure everything went perfectly and it did. Anytime I would ask a question or see if we could do or change something she found a way to make it happen and me happy. Sometimes when planning a wedding it's easy to get caught up in it and wonder if certain decisions are the right ones. Well at the end of the day there is no right and wrong, just what you like and can afford. Johannah made me feel like every choice I made was perfect and reassured me of the amazing day we were going to have.

They cater in-house and the food is DELICIOUS, competitively priced compared to other Duluth caterers, and beautifully presented. The cost of the venue itself was the best we found in all of Duluth and included everything we needed. No extra charges for reception tables, chairs, or linens. We only had to pay for the ceremony chair rental. \r\rNancy Waters was great, but she's super busy and a little hard to get a hold of at first. Don't give up! Ask for her cell phone because she always has it on her and picks up almost every time. \r\rI thought it would be weird having another couple getting married that same day there, but it was actually kind of fun! We didn't see them hardly at all (only from a distance during photos), and it was great to see someone else having just as great a time as us.\r\rGet married at Spirit! You won't regret it!

Heidi, Nancy, and the rest of the crew provided incredible service, and we barely had to think about the small details the weekend of the wedding. I had both my ceremony and reception at Spirit Mountain in Duluth, MN. The event coordinator, Nancy, that I worked with was wonderful. She always responded promptly to my e-mails and was usually able to answer questions for me even if they did not pertain to Spirit Mountain specifically, for example where I could rent a keyboard piano from. The rental fees were the most affordable I could find in the Duluth area and the food and alcohol were priced appropriately for our location. The morning of the wedding the ceremony chairs and reception tables/chairs were all set-up exactly how I told Nancy and was quite pleased with their ability to fulfill my vision. The food was delicious and all of my guests were raving about it. My only complaint would be that we were NEVER told we would have to pay over $6000 on the spot immediately when the reception ended; we had been told an invoice would be put together and we would be billed following the reception, apparently that meant IMMEDIATELY after the ceremony, I'm talking 5 minutes after the music ended, staff was hounding my parents for the money.

Spirit Mountain was a great place to get married! The view is absolutely breathtaking,and everyone raved about how delicious the food was! Nancy Waters the wedding coordinator was great, and the staff were all very professional. Spirit Mountain is a very popular place to get married in Duluth, and so it was very hard to get a date for our wedding less than a year out, which is the only negative to the place. I would recommend getting the Mountain Villas for the wedding party to stay in too.

Working with Spirit Mountain was a bit chaotic. At times it was difficult to get into contact with the Rep, but times you could call and email back and forth all day. There were a few minor changes that needed to be done at the last second, which were items they had gotten wrong or just forgotten to mention to me, but the changes went off without a hitch at the end. The view was absolutley amazing. The food was great, exactly what I wanted. The outside venue was excellent. Some of the exterior looks a bit run down, but the inside has a nice rustic feel. What you are getting is well worth the price. I felt I got an excellent deal and would have expected to pay more for what I got in the location.

The best part about my venue was the prompt and personable service I received from the manager of my site. She was thorough and detailed and very kind. I felt as though she cared about my wedding as if it were her own but she did not bother me with constant phone calls or anything like that. The food was better than amazing and cheap. There were huge windows all around the room that showed the whole city of Duluth since the lodge is on a ski hill. I also liked the rustic cabin feel to the whole building. It was really easy to work with the site manger and she was flexible when it came to when we could decorate and such.
