Stanford Faculty Club Reviews
Andrea Stawitcke(parent)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 28-04-2012 Everyone at the Stanford faculty Club went out of their way to help make my daughter''s wedding a dream come true. The event coordinator, Diane Elcan, was kind and accommodating and quick to respond to every inquiry. The menu was amazing, the wait staff attentive and quick. In short, it was perfect. Originally I was planning to get married at Stanford Faculty Club this 07/03/2021. With COVID I was aware they were short staffed, but my wedding planning turned out to be a nightmare. Before I signed contract, the venue director was really responsive. But after I signed the email, they were almost unreachable by phone and email came back well after two or three days. By no response, this means no communication on their opening plan, whether I would have wedding that year. The final straw was that we had a venue mockup scheduled two months before the wedding. My wedding planner and decorator was coming with a truck load of lightenings, draperies, etc. But the venue director canceled the day before the mockup, saying that there wasn't anyone to back up the wedding plan. I chose Stanford Faculty Club for their location. But their level of unprofessionalism made me question whether I could trust them to host my wedding. Reviewed on 11-05-2021
Elyse Coletta(bride)4 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 12-09-2015 The faculty club was really convenient for my guests since I got married at Stanford Church. The venue was elegant and professional and allowed me to customize some of the items. Reviewed on 01-10-2015
Andrea Mann(bride)4 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 20-08-2011 My husband and I just had our wedding at the Stanford Faculty club in August. We wanted an outdoor, garden-themed wedding ceremony, with an indoor reception. We wanted the location to be convenient to our family and friends who live in the Bay Area. Most of the places we looked at had incredibly expensive facility rental fees, or could only accommodate us until 10pm, or were up a windy hill, or required that we do the reception somewhere else. Gustavo is a Stanford Alum (although you don't need to be an alum to use their club), so this was the perfect place for us. \r\rHilary helped us plan the ceremony and reception with the help of our day coordinator. She was great to work with-- very professional and prompt at responding to emails/calls. She helped us find some of our vendors (ie. lighting, AV, florist, cake). \rOn the day of the wedding, everything looked great! Our guests commented how delicious they thought everything tasted. There was plenty of appetizers and cocktails, and wine/beer/soda with the Cardinal package. \r\rWe would both recommend this venue highly. Reviewed on 06-09-2011
Nanette Boerner(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 14-07-2007 I loved that the reception venue allowed for an outdoor ceremony on a gorgeous flagstone patio with a cocktail reception to follow. It was part of the club and the dinner reception was simply moved indoors to the main dining room which was adjacent. It was great that people didn't have to run from the ceremony to the reception locale. Parking was plentiful and easy.;The reception venue is located in the heart of Stanford University. There is an entire campus to navigage and traffic can often be congested if there is a large public event being held elsewhere on campus. Plan extra travel time to ensure people arrive when needed.
