Now accepting bookings up to 12 months in advance! State Savings Bank Detroit is a historic wedding venue located in Detroit, MI. A landmark building, the establishment was built in 1900 and is part of the National Register of Historic Places. Emblematic of the period’s Beaux Arts-style, the three-story venue showcases a stunning, sleek white marble interior. Here, amongst carved, classical colonnades and bronze grillwork, you and your partner can celebrate your love and commitment for one another. Truly an exquisite setting, this impressive property offers a stunning backdrop for any milestone occasion. State Savings Bank Detroit consists of 14,000 square feet of versatile event space where couples can host their long-awaited celebrations. This venue was designed by the esteemed architectural firm, McKim, Mead & White, which was instrumental in American Renaissance designs at the start of the century. Their signature style is showcased by the restored bank’s stunning gilded ceilings and iron vault at the center of the hall. In the building’s front section, to-be-weds can celebrate their day with up to 130 loved ones for a seated event and 250 for a standing reception. Upon walking through the vault, couples will find the back section which can comfortably accommodate up to 600 guests. To support you throughout the planning process, the event manager at State Savings Bank Detroit is happy to help. Portable bars are available so that you and your loved ones can sip your favorite beverages while creating lifelong memories together. In-house bar services will be provided for any occasion. The staff has also compiled a handpicked list of preferred caterers and vendors that you can refer to. For your convenience, the building is equipped with complimentary Wi-Fi. On-site parking and valet services are also available.

The State Savings Bank was the venue of our dreams. It is absolutely beautiful on its own, however, it is completely customizable to fit your vision and vibe because you have to bring everything in yourself. In doing so, we were able to bring our exact vision to life. Lauren J on the Bedrock events team was so helpful in answering questions about venue logistics. On the day of our wedding, she never left our side and made sure we had everything we needed from a damp cloth to our favorite beverages. Most of our guests said they had never been to this venue before and couldn’t stop boasting about how beautiful the space was. We held both our ceremony and reception here and there was plenty of room for both. I can’t recommend this venue enough!

My husband and I got married in April 2023 and had the most AMAZING experience with Bedrock Events at the Detroit State Savings Bank. The space was elegant, timeless and just downright STUNNING. We couldn't stop comparing all the other venues to this one and ultimately just had to choose it and we are so glad we did. It is beautiful just as it is so all we had to do was add some uplighting and centerpieces and we were set with decor. The layout couldn't have been better with a space for cocktail hour in the front and reception in the back. We had about 250 guests and had plenty of space for everything to sit along with a good size dance floor and stage for the band. Brittany and Lauren were so helpful. From multiple walk throughs to layout questions to bar/alcohol advice, they were always available for questions big and small. My family is STILL talking about how gorgeous of a space this was. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!!

What is there not to love about this venue! As a wedding planner, when a couple asks me which venue is my favorite in Metro-Detroit I always say State Savings Bank. The ability to transform this venue into something unique, one of a kind for the client is just amazing. Also, the sales managers that you deal with there are impeccable! They are always willing to help in any way possible! If someone is looking for a wedding space in Detroit, look no further than the State Savings Bank.

My husband and I had our wedding at the State Saving Bank in April 2023, but we started our journey with the Bedrock team all the way back in March 2019. We toured every venue in the city looking for the perfect fit for our wedding. By the time we got to Lauren Jacks, we were losing hope that we’d be able to find the right space. She took us to see several properties and worked tirelessly to answer all our questions. When we saw the State Savings Bank, we knew we had found our dream venue. We left feeling a massive weight lifted. Lauren was absolutely wonderful through the entire process. She made every decision easier and bent over backwards to accommodate us. At this time, I had been working as an event planner for over 7 years and can wholeheartedly say that I had never encountered a more knowledgeable and thorough venue coordinator. Her positive energy made such a huge difference during a stressful process. As our original wedding date was set for July 2020, we had to cancel and reschedule twice due to the pandemic. Lauren helped us feel at ease about our contract and worked diligently to secure our dates. One month out from our rescheduled wedding date, I was diagnosed with breast cancer. We were understandably terrified and reeling from the unexpected news. It was a terribly difficult time. Naturally, we decided to prioritize treatment and postpone the wedding until after I had healed from surgery. Lauren didn’t hesitate. She assured us we didn’t need to worry about the contract or locking in a new date or penalty fees. She let us know that when we were ready, they’d be there. We felt so supported and it made a difficult decision much easier. When we were finally (and thankfully) in a place to reschedule, Lauren jumped right in helping to put all the details back together. At the time, they were thinking of selling the venue, limiting the dates available. She went to bat for us to make sure we were able to secure a date. She was with us every step of the way, giving incredible insight on everything from bar service to décor. She was such a bright spot in this process. The venue speaks for itself. It’s stunning and unique. There’s truly nothing like it in the city and we received countless compliments about it. It was a gorgeous backdrop to a long-awaited day. I could go on and on about the space and details. But honestly the best recommendation I can give to anyone planning a wedding or event is to consider the people you’ll be working with. You never know what the journey is going to look like and you want to be certain you have the right people by your side. There is truly no team better than this one. I still think back and can’t believe how lucky we were to find this space and work with Lauren. It’s something we’ll always be grateful for.

10/10 would recommend. The people (shoutout Lauren Jacks), the venue, the execution, all were exceptional. I think we had 4 or 5 wedding date changes. With the pandemic then some unexpected health issues (shoutout doctors and health care workers for being amazing) things got a bit dicey so to have our venue be as accommodating and understanding as the State Savings/Bedrock was a huge weight off our shoulders. If they hadn't been so great we probably would have bailed on the entire thing but they were great and we are so glad we finally had our wedding because the venue was perfect! Having prepared for a couple different iterations of our wedding I think we can safely say that this venue can be great no matter what type of wedding you're looking to have. They are so great about recommending and working with any vendors you want to use. If you want to be haughty taughty, easily done. If you want to be trendy, they can pull that off with ease. If you want chill but also dope af, we just did it. Lauren and her team made the entire experience feel calm and professional so the only stuff left to worry about wedding wise was the emotional or personal baggage we were bringing to the table. Real talk; this place was great and we cannot thank them enough.

WOW!! State Savings Bank and their events team was an absolute DREAM to work with! Liz was our event manager from day one when we got engaged in 2019. She helped us navigate through COVID, two cancelled wedding dates, the birth of our baby, and incorporating our now-13 month old son into our wedding day. Our entire experience was flawless. The events team is so professional and left no stone unturned in ensuring that our day was perfect. Liz responded to every email, phone call, etc very promptly with well thought out responses that guided us in our planning from vendor recommendations to day-of questions. Not only was the planning process and events staff wonderful leading up to the wedding, but the day-of event execution was spot on. From event staff, to bartenders, to security personnel, etc everyone was just awesome and made our day so special. And let’s talk about the venue. OMG. Just stunning. Classic, modern, romantic, industrial, and an architectural and historical gem all at the same time. Our photos are to die for. I can’t say enough about how spectacular our day was. Truly perfect and we cannot thank Liz and State Savings Bank enough!!

Our wedding at the State Savings Bank was absolutely phenomenal! Liz was our coordinator and she was incredibly helpful in making our day seamless and stress free. She was very easy to work with and helped us put together the bar order, confirm details with vendors, and oversaw the entire set up. Most of our guests were from out of town and they were all amazed at how beautiful the venue was.

It is a great location in the city and is so unique. It also is a great opportunity to make the space personalized to you since you get to bring in all the rentals and hand select them. I worked with Brittany Burns and she was very organized and responsive. She helped make sure that everything went smoothly on the day of. She was also very flexible with last minute changes and fulfilled multiple requests to bring different vendors to tour the venue. Overall, the State Savings Bank and the team that coordinates events there are really great, and I highly recommend!!

This is the most beautiful venue ever! We knew from the second we saw it that it was where we wanted to be married and have our celebration. Lyn Gleasure was incredible to work with. She answered every question and concern that we had and was super knowledgeable. Our wedding was postponed due to Covid and Lyn was really great about keeping us posted on the latest details and restrictions. Leading up to the wedding she also helped us talk through the day with our other vendors to iron out details. She made this process so easy and really put care into everything. I would hands down do it all over again!

What a magical venue! My experience with Connie and the Bedrock Detroit team could not have been better. From the first walk through to day-of, the team was extremely responsive to my countless questions, punctual, friendly, and helpful! Connie had some really great suggestions to improve our layout and flow, but never overstepped. This space is so beautiful on its own, but provides a blank slate that welcomes creativity. I would 100% recommend this venue to anyone!

The place was magnificent and beautiful. It definitely added value to our celebration. Our guest loved the beautiful building and its architecture. We look forward to having our 2nd daughter's wedding at this building.

This was the PERFECT venue for our wedding! Our event team did an exceptional job at day-of logistics. They didn't miss a single detail and helped us with everything! The flow and experience of the building that they set up was amazing - it felt warm and welcoming for all of our guests. We had a live band and the acoustics were great. We especially appreciated the dimmable lighting in the space. We highly recommend using this venue!
