Nichole Menezes(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 23-04-2022 Stock’s Manor was a classy & elegant venue for our wedding reception. The on-site catering also by Stocks on Second was delicious. Stephen was incredibly helpful from start to finish. Loved the ease of which we could coordinate our vendors with them. The space was the perfect size for our reception of about 175 people. The grounds were beautiful for photos. Highly recommend! Reviewed on 16-01-2023
Rebecca Gendelman(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 02-10-2022 Stock’s Manor was a gorgeous and wonderful venue for our October 2022 wedding. The outdoor ceremony space is located in beautiful old stone ruins and the reception space is very pretty and has doors all around that can be opened and create an outdoor feel. We didn’t realize just how much of a fairy tale the venue was until we saw it decorated on our wedding day. Stephen was extremely helpful and responsive from our initial tour of the wedding through all the planning stages and on the day of the wedding. We sent Stephen many questions in the months leading up to the wedding and he was so kind, helpful, and patient. When I mentioned that I had relatives who kept Kosher, he recommended a Kosher caterer and had many other very helpful suggestions throughout the planning process. A week before our wedding, it became clear that the remnants of a hurricane would pass through PA on the day of our wedding. I was so worried but Stephen helped me find a tent company to set up a tent and spoke to multiple companies about exactly what kind of tent would work best with the ceremony space. He was so reassuring during that stressful time, and spoke to both my mom and me in multiple phone calls and talked us through the options (including doing the ceremony indoors). When the tent company said they would have to set up the tent three days before the wedding, Stephen reached out to the other couples getting married before us and got their permission to have the tent set up! Thanks to Stephen, the ceremony was perfect despite the rain. The day of the wedding, he stood outside in the rain and greeted all the guests who were arriving and directed them to the ceremony. He and Stock’s Manor’s staff made everything run incredibly smoothly. Our day of coordinator, Jeanette, who we hired through Stock’s Manor, was wonderful and helped set up everything the day of the wedding. We left her boxes of items with labels (i.e. place cards, wedding favors, table markers) and she made everything perfect and exactly how we had envisioned it! She checked in with me multiple times before I arrived at the venue to make sure I was doing okay and didn’t have any other questions/concerns. She organized my wedding party for the ceremony and guided us through it, making everything run on time and very smoothly, and also helped organize the clean-up at the end of the night. My husband and I spent the night in Stock’s Manor’s guest room and it was very comfortable and cozy, and then Stock’s Manor made us a delicious breakfast in the morning (croissants, yogurt, granola, frittata, coffee, orange juice). They had also put my bouquet in a vase overnight so that it didn’t wilt! It is clear that Stephen and the other folks at Stock’s Manor cared so deeply and were so invested in our wedding going well, and we are so grateful!! Reviewed on 06-10-2022

Cecily Ober(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 08-05-2021 Beautiful venue! This historic manor with its covered veranda made it feel like our reception was completely inside but when the walls of doors were opened it felt like we were completely outdoors. The location is reasonably secluded but not too out of the way, making it the perfect blend of private and accessible. The guests loved having the cocktail hour in the manor proper/grand front porch. A great space for a spring or summer wedding when rain is always a possibility. – Matt and Cecily Reviewed on 05-07-2021
Lauren S.(parent)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 03-11-2018 My son got married 2 years ago at Stock's Manor and I was remiss in writing a review. I just want to now say that this venue was beyond beautiful and their day was so special. The bride added the draping to the room which was really a wow factor! but the venue between the house, the banquet room and the outdoor lawns was breathtaking. They also created one of the most beautiful cookie tables (Pittsburgh tradition) that I have ever seen, with no extra charge! The bartenders were fabulous, we were allowed to bring stuff over and set up some things the night before. They had everything boxed up and ready to go at the end of the night! The only things I would warn is know they stop serving alcohol 30 minutes before the end of the night (in the contract), and make sure you fully understand what is included ie. one bartender, beer and wine only (extra fee for spirits) and whether or not you can set up the night before. Put it in the contract as some of the answers changed if there was an event the night before. Thank you Stock's Manor! Reviewed on 07-12-2020
Scott Conley(parent)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 17-10-2020 We held our daughter's wedding and reception at Stock's Manor this past Saturday 10/17/2020. It was an amazing experience! The venues for the ceremony (called the \"ruins\"-- check it out on their website) and reception were awesome and the property provided a gorgeous setting for wedding pictures. The staff was absolutely amazing-- professional, very friendly and efficient. The food, catered by Stock's catering service (from their restaurant in Harrisburg called Stocks on Second) was delicious! Everyone remarked on how good the food was. The hors d'oeuvres were awesome and plentiful. We had a buffet dinner of beef brisket, peppered turkey and gravy, glazed carrots, mac and cheese and salad. It was ALL amazing. Several people claimed the brisket was as good as Mission Barbecue! People even commented on how good the coffee tasted! Stephen was great to work with-- kind, patient, flexible and responsive. The staff helped clean up and pack our decorations afterward. Overall, it was FABULOUS experience in Mechanicsburg! Elise Nobile(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 21-06-2019 I have literally nothing bad to say about Stock’s Manor. From the first visit where Stephen personally took us on our tour and laid out every option to us, to the countless questions he patiently answered for me every time I thought of something new, to letting us drop off anything we wanted the day before and picking things up the day after the wedding instead of making us pack it all up immediately, every interaction was professional and supportive. We were given full access to both the house and grounds, everything was arranged beautifully, and the staff were impeccably polite and gracious. The cost was reasonable compared with other venues, and the quality far outstripped anywhere else we toured. I encourage everyone to choose Stock’s for any event! Reviewed on 20-09-2019

From the moment we began planning the wedding, Stephen was so extremely helpful and communicative. He worked with us to create a menu that fit our budget and gave us great recommendations on how to best utilize the space. He was very quick to respond to any questions I had about decorations, layouts, etc.The venue itself is absolutely gorgeous. Our ceremony was in the Ruins (outside), the cocktail hour was in the Manor, and the reception was on the Veranda. Stock's Manor staff was absolutely amazing in setting up decorations - I didn't have to touch a thing! With an outdoor venue, there is always the fear of inclement weather. There was a fierce thunderstorm about 30 minutes before our ceremony was scheduled to start. Us girls got to the house early to get ready in the two rooms upstairs. We had plenty of space to have our hair done and put on makeup. Downstairs we brought in brunch and had english tea. Before we knew it, the ceremony was starting, and everyone was seated in the ruins. After, everyone went up to the house and patio to have cocktail hour. Stock's allows you to bring your own alcohol, which was a nice money saver. Finally, everyone sat down for dinner, and the evening party commenced. Lise Nielsen(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 17-08-2013 John, Matt, KJ and Stephen, really everyone that helped make our wedding happen at Stock's Manor were great to work with. Professional, but not snooty. Friendly and flexible, but willing to throw in advice or suggestions when asked. We had both our ceremony and reception at the Manor. The ceremony space in the barn ruins is absolutely gorgeous. Perfect for an outdoor wedding, because it gives you an enclosed feeling without a roof over your head. Cocktail hour was on the front porch and inside the first floor of the manor, which guests really enjoyed getting to wander inside for some relief from the heat, and to check out our photos displayed throughout the first floor. Our wedding was held right after they finished enclosing the reception area with French doors, which are really gorgeous and would allow for all-season use. Our wedding was in August, so having the French doors open for fresh air was a must. Service was great. Some guests complained about one of the bartenders being pretty rude, but I didn't experience this myself. Staff was VERY helpful in packing up all of our stuff at the end of the night, too (photos, flowers and other table decorations, the chuppah, ketubah, etc.) \r\rAs far as I know, everything went off without a hitch, which is the true test of service! Plus they could cover it in the event of rain. The reception was FANTASTIC. The building is beautiful with white glass doors enclosing the structure - which allowed for air conditioning. I would HIGHLY recommend Stock's Manor as a wedding venue to anyone. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Everything went exactly as planned, down to every detail!! It offered a beautiful outdoor venue without the Baltimore price, and increased flexibility for menu and decor, and was just a short drive from the Baltimore area.
