Wright-Style Urban Lodge in the Watchung Mountains
Nestled on 10 acres in the Watchung mountains, Stone House at Stirling Ridge provides scenic countryside views in a contemporary setting. A Frank Lloyd Wright design inspiration: its steel, wood, and stone combination come together like a balanced wine. The breathtaking grounds are an architectural delight, and the perfect backdrop for capturing your Landmark moment. Both The Grand Ballroom and The Lodge are located on opposite sides of the property, ensuring exclusive use of the facility and privacy for you and your guests. The Grand Ballroom features 16’ ceilings and a series of glass doors and walls that open up to private gardens and fire pits. The Grand Ballroom is designed with classic, clean lines, slate floors, and a neutral color palette. The Lodge is a mid-century modern, yet industrial space. It's fitted with floor-to-ceiling windows, wrought-iron chandeliers, and a stone fireplace standing 20 feet tall. The multi-level cocktail space offers the look and feel of an art gallery, while incorporating brick walls, slate and wood floors, and an angled ceiling.

If you want to feel taken care of by top tier professionals, this is the wedding venue for you. I work in event logistics and all I wanted was to feel off the clock for my wedding day, after our first meeting with Sarah Gore at Stone House we knew it was the place. I felt like if there was anyone that would make me feel like I did not have to worry about a thing, it was her. Our wedding was at The Lodge on a stunning fall day this past October and even if the weather did not show up for us that day it would be been perfect heavily due to the team at stone house. The food, the professionalism, the attention to every little detail...when people tell us it was the best wedding they have ever been to I don't think they are just being nice because of our own experience with this venue being beyond our expectations. Mercedes was running the show for us on the night and she is an absolute dream, kept us all on time with such a great spirit and energy. It was the dreamiest day and no one should second guess booking this place, just do it you won't regret it.

I cannot say enough about how amazing and accommodating the Stone House has been throughout the entire planning process. Starting off with our memory maker, Michelle: She is the reason why we booked with them! I could tell she was on top of everything, and wanted to make sure the day was going to be perfect! And to no surprise it truly was. The food was fantastic, and a lot of it! The mixologists were great, and we keep hearing from our guests how beautiful and amazing their experience was. I highly recommend the Stone House but more importantly Michelle. She made our experience near perfection.

SO incredibly happy that we chose Stone House (The Lodge) as our wedding venue - our day was perfect and went so smoothly with the help from every single person on their team! Michelle Ross was our event stylist and she truly made sure that our day was everything we wanted it to be! Every little specific request that we had told her she made sure happened and she was so wonderful and personable to work with. On the day of, our maitre D (Frank Jr) and bridal attendant (Melina) were so attentive and checked in with us and my parents throughout the night for anything we needed. They had a spread of each appetizer food and our signature drinks waiting for us in our bridal suite right after the ceremony, and made sure we got to try a little of everything - even each dessert! There are not enough words to describe how much I love the Stone House. We got married 11/4/23 in the Ballroom (175 people) and worked with Sarah throughout the process. She was such a calming force throughout the entire planning and wedding day. We booked fairly far in advance, so Sarah kept us organized on all our upcoming deadlines for linens, food choices, partnering with our other vendors, etc. The venue itself is truly stunning. We did such minimal decor because it really speaks for itself. The food is fantastic. We got so many compliments from our guests about the food. The option to add a food truck is so worth it - the end of the night \"drunk\" pizza was a perfect way to cap it. Everything ran smoothly, my partner and I felt so cared for throughout the day. I could not recommend the Stone House enough!

The venue itself was gorgeous and the food was fantastic. I cannot speak highly enough about our experience working with Michelle - she was incredibly responsive, kind and truly cared about helping us bring our vision to life. She answered every email and spared no detail - we are SO grateful for all of her help. Frank the Maitre D was also unbelievable - great energy and the night went seamlessly. Having Evelyn as our bridal attendant was also SO helpful, whether it was keeping track of my bouquet or ensuring I had water, it was great to have someone looking out for us throughout the night.

We had the wedding of our dreams and I believe we owe that all to Stone House. We started our planning and of the 8 venues we toured, they were our favorite. They checked all the boxes, beautiful space, and an all-inclusive nature that meant they would be able to help us manage all the details without needing a dedicated wedding planner. The staff are top notch. Sarah Gore helped us plan every detail prior, making sure that we knew the space, the food, the bar, the aesthetic and giving us recommendations for the vendors that they didn’t include. Frank was our maitre d and managed every staff member and took care of every need our day of on site. His energy and presence actually allowed for us to not worry about any detail. The waitstaff, bartenders, and other staff took care of every single guest. The food. The food. The food. There was SO MUCH food and it was so good. Every single guest told us that it was the best wedding food they ever had and it was. The chef made sure that we had the food that we wanted, the way we wanted and that every single guest was taken care of. If you are on the fence, go to the venue, have brunch at the restaurant and you will get a sense of the experience that you will have. TOP notch

Where do I begin with our incredible wedding day at Stone House at Stirling Ridge, held in April 2023. Our stylist was Sarah and from our very first meeting, she was so amazing to work with and we immediately felt at ease. I felt like I had known Sarah my whole life! She was consistently communicative, friendly, supportive, professional, and helpful in planning our wedding. Sarah was communicative throughout the wedding planning process, and with her help we were able to plan our wedding in just 8 months. She kept us on track with planning and knew just what to say to ease my nerves the days leading up to the wedding. We decided to get married on the ballroom side, knowing it was April and with the chance of rain, the covered outdoor area for the ceremony was perfect. In true April fashion, it rained the entire wedding weekend. As it turns out, I was pleasantly surprised to see how serene and beautiful the outdoor ceremony space was in the rain. The colorful greenery surrounding it, full of love and support from our guests, felt like we were in a tranquil rainforest. We unfortunately did not get many pictures of us around the grounds, but it did not matter. The ballroom has beautiful lighting and is a larger space, with plenty of room for our 150 guests. The chandeliers are stunning and are the highlight of many of our reception photos. We loved the European vibe of the cocktail hour space, with lots of wood and darker colors. The food was beyond excellent. The guests were raving about all of the food, from the cocktail hour to dinner to dessert. The hospitality and customer service, including everyone from Sarah, to our maitre-d’ Frank, were so on top of being supportive and magically made the day go as smoothly as possible. Our guests were beyond impressed and in love with the venue (as were we since the day we toured the venue). Our wedding day was a dream, all thanks to Stone House!

My daughter was married at the Stone House on the Lodge side on 5/25/23. What a fabulous event! Everything was perfect. The food was amazing and so was the staff. The Stone House team ran the event without a hitch. We didn't have any stress. Nicole was our wonderful planner and she was so helpful throughout the year of planning. Frank was the Matre D and Mercedes was the bridal attendant at the event and they were outstanding. I can't say enough good things about this day. We had the ceremony outside in a beautiful setting. The whole event was fantastic. I recommend the Stone House 100%. They are organized and easy to plan with too. This place is a winner!!!

I just had my wedding at Stone House in The Lodge on 5/25/23 and I can’t think of enough good things to say about them. Nicole made everything about the wedding planning process so easy and was always quick to get back to me about any questions I had and always reached out in advance about scheduling things like our tasting, final details meeting, and reminders of what I needed to do and when. As it got closer to the wedding and I had more and more questions, she continued to be so helpful and offered her expert opinions and guidance and helped field questions from vendors and made the day as seamless as possible. The staff during the wedding was amazing too — Frank the Maitre D was funny and nice and made sure me and my husband had everything we needed all night. Mercedes was our bridal attendant and she was also amazing and made sure we had everything we needed too and didn’t leave my side. The food was amazing everyone was blown away by the cocktail hour and the entrees were just as good. The room looked beautiful and everyone was so happy the entire night. I hope I can go to another wedding here as a guest because I want to experience it again!!

It's so delicious and, what's really lovely, is that guests don't have to pre-order their meals.*The staff: Everyone from Sarah to our bridal attendant to maitre'd to bartenders were so kind, energetic and joyful. They really brought magic to our day and made everything go so smoothly. When we had to move our ceremony inside, they turned the space around in record time!*The venue: I can't tell you how gorgeous this venue is. And, how many spaces are there! From the outside patio to the firepit to the cocktail area to the lawn, our guests had a ton of space to move about. 10000/10 recommend this venue for your wedding!

Her energy was exactly what we needed during our wedding planning. I would text and call her with questions and she truly had an answer for everything. Our day was immaculately planned and went perfectly. Michelle, Frank, and Mercedes greeted us once we arrived at the venue. Mercedes was SO helpful in carrying my train and bouquet all night. We had the ceremony in the Lodge and the reception in the Grand Ballroom. The food and atmosphere was incredible and everything we have ever dreamed of! We added the sushi enhancement during the cocktail hour which was so delicious. Our family and friends could not stop raving about the food. The reception was gorgeous- picture perfect!! Frank and Michelle worked with my DJ company to carry out the most perfect timeline! If you are getting married at the Stone House, you are in the best hands! Most perfect venue!!I have had my eye on Stone House for years and it totally exceeded all of my expectations. Michelle is truly the best at what she does and she was an absolute pleasure to work with. Michelle is so caring, responsive, and calm. Her energy was exactly what we needed during our wedding planning. I would text and call her with questions and she truly had an answer for everything. Our day was immaculately planned and went perfectly. Michelle, Frank, and Mercedes greeted us once we arrived at the venue. Mercedes was SO helpful in carrying my train and bouquet all night. We had the ceremony in the Lodge and the reception in the Grand Ballroom. The food and atmosphere was incredible and everything we have ever dreamed of! We added the sushi enhancement during the cocktail hour which was so delicious. Our family and friends could not stop raving about the food. The reception was gorgeous- picture perfect!! Working with the Stone House was the best part of planning our wedding. Nicole was a dream to work with and went above and beyond to make sure we had an amazing day. She answered every single one of our million questions, let us tour the venue multiple times, and accommodated every request we had without question. We got married in November and were very worried about getting married outside and the cold weather. The Stone House went above and beyond to ease our concerns by purchasing extra heat lamps a few days before, as well as passing hot apple cider to all guests before the ceremony. Working with the Stone House was the best part of planning our wedding. Nicole was a dream to work with and went above and beyond to make sure we had an amazing day. She answered every single one of our million questions, let us tour the venue multiple times, and accommodated every request we had without question. We got married in November and were very worried about getting married outside and the cold weather. The Stone House went above and beyond to ease our concerns by purchasing extra heat lamps a few days before, as well as passing hot apple cider to all guests before the ceremony. This venue over promises and under delivers. My husband and I were extremely disappointed with the execution of our wedding day. We did reach out to the Landmark Hospitality management about our issues on our wedding day and after they promised to make things right, the insulted us with compensation way below what we discussed on the phone and then did not reply to our reply messages (I have reached out 3 times after they said they would get back to me). This extremely unprofessional and they clearly don’t care about making us 100% satisfied like they stated over the phone.Our dinner did not come out until 9:15pm after my mother went into the kitchen to tell them to serve the food ASAP. They were missing cocktail hour pass arounds and did not give my husband and I any of the small plates in our bridal suite. The maitre de and bridal attendant were missing after salads were served. They ran out of my husbands signature drink an hour before the reception ended and it was bud light. The bathrooms were dirtier than a frat house. We hope this review allows other couples to have wonderful wedding days by not booking with the Stone House.

What better way to celebrate our one year wedding anniversary than to FINALLY write a review for this incredible venue and their amazing staff. We got married at The Lodge on 10/2/21 and the day was absolutely perfect thanks to Stone House, and especially thanks to Nicole who was the best coordinator we could have ever asked for. After originally booking for October 2020, we postponed our date for 2021. Stone House could not have been more accommodating. We worked closely with Carissa to secure the new date, and she and the venue were completely understanding and gave us no issues rebooking (allowing us plenty of time in advance, which meant we could keep a Saturday date -- completely unheard of at other venues at the time). We are forever grateful to Carissa and the staff for making that process so smooth considering how emotional things were at the time.Fast forward to finally getting to experience our wedding day the following year, it was truly a magical experience. Nicole was so communicative leading up to the big day, and helped us with all of our final questions and little details. She even worked some creative magic and put the time in to create dinner menus that matched our wedding invitations! The entire staff was so attentive the entire day, and as everyone always says about Stone House.. the food was insane. Our guests still talk about it being the best wedding food they've ever had.I could truly go on and on about this venue, but I will end by saying if you are looking for a venue in Northwest NJ you really don't need to look any further. The Stonehouse (grand ballroom) was the PERFECT venue for our Sunday afternoon wedding in June (3-9pm with the 1-hour open-bar after-party). We worked with Nicole who was BEYOND as our event stylist - attuned to every detail and request (and we had a lot of requests....) She was an excellent communicator and helped us thoroughly throughout the entire process to make our dream wedding day possible. From setting up our food tasting to helping us pick all of our favorite choices - she was so thorough and helpful with our final details meeting, and made sure we had absolutely everything we needed to ensure a smooth and successful day. Frank was the maitre'd for the day who was incredible; Merecedes was a fabulous bridal attendant who was there for me all day - bringing us food and water, helping with my dress, and really just attending to things i couldn't have anticipated. The food was excellent, the ambiance was amazing with the indoor/outdoor areas, and everyone just had the best time. My mom sprung for the donut wall at the end of the party which everyone loved. From the minute we met her, she was so interested in us as a couple, our story and our vision and we instantly hit it off! She made us feel so special during our tour and answered every single one of our questions and was flexible on our ideas and visions for our day. Although we didn't book here, I can't say enough great things about Michelle and the beautiful venue of Stone House. The ballroom is so beautiful and different and they offer so much within. I definitely would recommend this venue for all brides who are looking!!

Stone House was the first and only venue we looked at for our wedding! We knew as soon as we toured it and met with their event coordinator Carissa that it was exactly where we wanted to get married. To start, the venue itself is beautiful (we got married in the Lodge). We loved the fact that the ceremony/cocktail hour/reception were all in the same building. On top of that, all the food at Stone House is farm to table and once we tried it we were completely blown away. On our wedding day our guests couldn’t stop raving about how good all of the food was at the cocktail hour and how the entrees were delicious. The icing on the cake was our event team. Carissa was incredibly helpful throughout our planning process, answering any and all questions we had concerning our day. On the day of she was there to make sure everything went smoothly and to hype us up. Frank was our maitre’d and he kept everything running perfectly, making sure we and our guests had everything we needed. Amalia my bridal attendant was an absolute gem. She helped me with my dress during photos, made sure we got a chance to try all of the cocktail hour food, and ensured we never had an empty glass during the reception. The entire team is clearly well versed in how to put on a great wedding, and we couldn’t have been happier with our decision. We can’t wait to come back to Stone House in the future. Thank you Stone House team!!!

When we met with Carissa and she began talking about the weddings and receptions she hosted at Stone House over the years, we started to think this could be the place. While we loved the atmosphere of the Lodge reception hall, we had to choose the Ballroom because of capacity restrictions. However, it did have a lot of positives including a beautiful bar/cocktail hour space, a large patio with two fireplaces and a covered ceremony space which proved to satisfy our fear of any type of rain or weather contingency plan. The Ballroom was also a part of the main restaurant space and another important part in our decision making as we had several dinners there leading up to our wedding. The food and staff were excellent and the space was friendly, inviting and unique, even considering 2020 was an extremely tough year for the industry. As a couple, we had our hands in just about every aspect of the planning process and remained meticulous throughout the entire 18 months leading up to the wedding. While COVID was extremely stressful for everyone and threw a wrench in a lot of plans, we got through it unscathed after many conversations and discussions. It wasn’t easy but we made it work and hats off to Stone House for providing exceptional product and service throughout this tough time. While Stone House is a beautiful venue and serves as a great platform for any couple to get married there, we had a really unique vision that we wanted to bring to life, requiring us to push not just Stone House, but all our vendors, to really get creative and flexible. At times it felt a bit uncomfortable pushing and asking for certain items or requests that seemed reasonable or previously available, but ultimately, Stone House delivered on all fronts - design and layout, food and beverage, service and professionalism. If it wasn’t for that, we would have been very much out of luck! Stone House at Stirling Ridge provides all the right options and experiences for a great wedding experience. We even had our rehearsal dinner at a private space in their restaurant in which their food, beverage and staff were all excellent. As a new married couple, we hope one day we can also experience Stone House as a guest of a wedding and enjoy that perspective. All our family and friends were beyond impressed!

Nicole was our wedding coordinator and was truly a pleasure to work with! We were in constant communication during the months leading up to the wedding, and she was always super prompt and helpful in responding. Our venue coordinator Carissa was so great throughout the planning process and was always there to answer anything we needed. We had to reschedule our wedding due to COVID-19 and it was truly the easiest process imaginable - Carissa seamlessly found us another Saturday evening just a few months later. Day-of, our maitre d Frank and bridal attendant Gabby were also wonderful and made sure our night was nothing short of amazing! Stone House is the PERFECT venue for a New Jersey wedding! Carissa, the catering manager, helped us every step of the way as we planned (and then re-planned!) our wedding. She was responsive and creative with lots of ideas from flow of the evening to layout of the ballroom to any vendor recommendations you may need. Stone House is great about letting you visit and tour as many times as you want leading up to the day of and the tasting is amazing to get an idea of what the Ball Room looks like with lots of tables and people and what the service will feel like for your guests. Our guests can't stop talking about the amazing food both at cocktail hour and for dinner (especially the Short Ribs!) and how beautifully presented everything was. Frank was our day of helper and made sure we stayed calm and on schedule. He was right there when anyone had a question and did a great job juggling all our vendors, families, and guests. I wanted a rustic yet elegant vibe for the wedding, and Stone House perfectly fit the bill! Putting your guests up at the Embassy Suites in Berkeley Heights is a great idea since the shuttles only take 7 minutes each way.

Nicole was incredibly responsive and answered every question I had throughout the planning process. Frank was my Maitre D and he spent the entire night helping me and my family. Maria was my bridal attendant and she was perfect. She was present when I needed her and out of the way when I didn’t. The food at the Stone House was incredible. There's so much to say about Stone House! Overall we had a great experience working with the Stone House. My husband and I were looking for a venue that felt modern and a bit different than what we were used to seeing in NJ. We went to Stone House and really loved the look and feel of it—modern/contemporary, a little bit rustic, elegant. They do a good job at blending all those elements. Our coordinator Carissa was soooo sweet and super helpful from the very beginning. Our wedding was originally scheduled for June 2020, but got rescheduled to April 2021 due to the pandemic. [Specifically regarding rescheduling: My personal experience went as smooth as I thought it could have possibly gone. We had to wait a bit to be allowed to reschedule, but it was understandable given the CDC and state-level guidance at the time. We were nervous about the potential outcomes, but made sure to start having transparent conversations with Carissa as early as possible and even put a soft hold on a new date until we were given the green light to reschedule. We are thankful we were able to reschedule smoothly.] Planning the details with Carissa was so easy, you can tell they run a tight ship! They were able to accommodate some special requests we had, which helped make our event feel custom to us. The food was really good! The only constructive feedback on cocktail hour was that some of the guests who were in the downstairs section of cocktail hour (we had our event in the Lodge), didn't get some of the passed hors d'ouvres because the servers kept circulating upstairs (we had similar feedback on the passed desserts at the end of the night). But overall, the feedback we got from guests on the venue, food, and general experience was very positive. The reception food was great, especially the salmon. My husband is lactose intolerant and they were able to whip him up a dairy-free filet minion right away when we flagged it. Mercedes was our Maitre D and she was awesome!! So buttoned up while having the best spirit. It was so fun to work with her. My husband and I were really well taken care of. As I mentioned, we had passed desserts at the end of the night along with our wedding cake, and the chocolate chip cookie was SO good. It's worth mentioning. To summarize, if you're looking for a modern, elegant, delicious, (and organized!) wedding, look no further than Stone House.

We had our wedding on 4/17 and it was an amazing night. From planning (2.5 years ago) to the day of, the Stone House reps have been responsive and helpful with all of our questions (and family COVID questions). For COVID, they did help out with specific requests and everything was \"spacious\" (for those family members that requested it). Also, not to mention the space is just beautiful. I can't think of one thing that went wrong or was bad during my wedding day, only that I didn't eat enough of the cocktail hour food!

We had our wedding on 4/17 and it was an amazing night. From planning (2.5 years ago) to the day of, the Stone House reps have been responsive and helpful with all of our questions (and family COVID questions). For COVID, they did help out with specific requests and everything was \"spacious\" (for those family members that requested it). Also, not to mention the space is just beautiful. It was perfect! from the space to the food. We then finally had our larger reception on April 16th. Carissa facilitated this event flawlessly. The food was out of this world! The entertainment and staff was on the ball 100% of the time. All of our guests raved at how Stone House was a class act and kept everything so orderly. We are so impressed we will be scheduling our wedding anniversary dinner there at the restaurant. I wish we could have the party again. Everyone at Stone House truly made our day so special.

When the pandemic hit , we were forced to postpone our reception at The Ryland Inn. We have three daughters who are nurses and one who is a state corrections officer so we were living in the thick of this pandemic . We decided to rebook the Ryland for March 26,2021. As the date approached, Shannon and John simply could not go ahead with having a large reception. We postponed again for later in 2021 , but decided to go ahead with ceremony at st Joseph shrine and have a small reception at Stone House. From the minute I spoke to Nicki at the Stonehouse, I knew we were in the right place. Nicki P was absolutely wonderful and kind and understanding of the situation. She helped us pick a special menu for Shannon and Johns wedding celebration and treated us like we were having a 200 person wedding, when we actually only had 25. She helped make their day a beautiful celebration .I will always remember her and the Stonehouse as a bright light in a very difficult time for our family. We are so looking forward to Shannon and Johns wedding celebration at The Ryland Inn ,a sister restaurant also owned by Landmark ,in October. I had my eyes on this venue for 4 years prior to getting engaged. When that finally happened in 2018, I told my, then fiance, that there was no other option. We booked the Grand Ballroom for October 2020 and were very fortunate that we were still able to have our wedding. Let me tell you, they went ABOVE AND BEYOND to ensure that everything went as planned. Carissa DeMarco is an absolute gem and gift to the catering/event industry. She is extremely personable , warm, and is attentive to detail. She was more responsive than I thought possible, and would often e-mail me back 5-10 minutes later, even if it were 10pm at night. She was constantly reassuring me in this chaotic pandemic and literally made all of my dreams come true. Frank, our maitre de, was incredible. He really knows how to take charge of a situation and get a buzzed wedding party to pay attention (it was great!!!!). We also had a family member have an allergic reaction during the reception and he provided them with benadryl and even followed-up with them the next day to see how they were doing. Mercedes, our bridal attendant was also phenomenal!! She was so warm and friendly and made the entire day a breeze. Every single one of my guests are still raving about the wedding two weeks later. The food, the staff, the pandemic preparations, the sanitizing stations, the bartenders, EVERYONE and EVERYTHING. The day was a dream come true and there are not enough words to thank you all for everything you've done! Thank you so much!

We recently got married on Oct 3, 2020!Due to COVID, we had to switch our wedding venue to the Stonehouse. As soon as we reached out to the Stonehouse, they were so responsive, compassionate and accommodating. We worked with the absolute best coordinator, Nicole Phillips. By the end of my wedding, I felt like she was family! She answered promptly to all texts and emails. She went above and beyond to help us when times and decisions were difficult. She always had a smile on and a positive attitude, which during these times... meant the world to us.Between her, Mercedes and Frank, my wedding was everything I dreamed of and more. It was absolutely perfect. Mercedes was by my side for most of the night, and I just felt so comforted by her presence! Frank was awesome and had great energy to get everyone pumped up for a great night! Whatever I asked for- was provided. They even found me contact solution before the ceremony bc my eye was acting up. Mercedes handed me and my husband tons of food at cocktail hour so we didn't have to go hungry or worry about a thing. They also gave us extra fried oreos to pack up and take to the hotel. They also surprised us with a smores station, which I had no idea we were getting !!!!!It was best day!As far as social distancing and running a \"COVID\" wedding... The stonehouse had it down pat. They had antibacterial stations... tables were more than 6 Ft apart... they had staff with gloves and masks and they served our food instead of having any buffet options. All of my guests felt safe being at the wedding.The food was amazing! This is not only my opinion, bc my guests are still raving about it!It sounds crazy to say everything happens for a reason in this circumstance, but I truly believe the Stonehouse was meant for us. Thank you to all involved for making our day a day to remember and cherish for the rest of our lives!

Horrible venue. I booked my wedding here for 5/16/20 and unfortunately the corona virus ruined it, my husband and I weren't sure what to do since it was already March and we had to make our final decision on whether we were going to keep the wedding. The stone house kept insisting it was ok and not government mandated, though at this point the government and CDC had already banned large weddings and gatherings for the next 90 days. We called to see what our options were and we were told the dates that we had to choose from were either two dates in August or all in the winter. We inquired about cancelling due to forced majeure where if an act of God occurs you can get 85% of your monies back. At this point we were told that if we cancel that it would be us cancelling and we would lose 100% of the monies. Keep in mind we were already paid in full for 150 guests. So we had no choice and signed for August. Come August and we are being pressured in to having the party outside, when an outdoor option wasn't even an option before the pandemic. The contract clearly stated that my husband and I only needed to make a good faith effort once to move the date before we could envoke forced majuere. We fought tooth and nail and the venue held on to our money and laughed at us. Finally we get to 8/8 and the wedding is still not allowed by the government, we finally are eligible for our forced majeure. I contact the venue and they tell me to expect my money within 7 days. I contact them several times since I have not received my refund. As of 8/29 the director of operations and the coo have ignored this issue and are stealing my money. I've sent repeated emails and certified letters and still have not received my money. The venue obviously is going under and doesn't have financial funds required. I would never recommend this venue to anyone even someone I hated. The sad part is my sister got married here several years ago and I was so excited to have my wedding here too. However it's been a horrible experience. The venue knows that I lost my job during covid and that we need the money for day to day survival and yet they don't care. They hold it hostage and ignore my correspondence. The venue charges a 15% admin fee on all events, which they don't deserve cause they can't even email me back. I've heard similar horror stories from my friends who have weddings scheduled at liberty house too.

Do not book with the Stonehouse at Stirling Ridge. It is a beautiful venue, run by a callous company and after our experience with them I can’t call them a moral organization.We were very excited in late 2019 when we booked the Stone House at Sterling ridge for our wedding. Our visit went great and in order to stretch our wedding budget we booked our event on Sunday, February, 21 2021. Then 2020 started and COVID 19 hit. At first we were somewhat relieved that our wedding was so far off, but as the scope of the pandemic spread it became more and more likely that this was going to impact our date. My fiance and I have several family members that are high risk and a 100 person event would have been irresponsible without a vaccine or a dramatic drop in the number of cases.We had reviewed the contract thoroughly and when their Force Majeure Clause was applied to Covid 19, Stonehouse would not be obligated to take any action for our wedding unless there was a State Ordered shutdown on Feb, 21 2021. We decided to call them, all we wanted was for them to assuage our fears of having to choose between the safety of our loved ones and our entire wedding budget. The resulting conversation made us cancel our wedding and lose our deposit.As we talked it became apparent how little the Stonehouse was willing to do for us. They kept going on about how they were already moving weddings that were scheduled during the NJ shut down (which was the minimum their own contract required them to do) but would offer nothing since our date was too far out. Finally we asked them directly, if during our wedding Covid 19 continues to pose a significant threat to us and our guests, and the state of New Jersey has not ordered another shut down, will you work with us to reschedule or find a way to keep our guests safe.Their answer was no.We’re not unsympathetic to the Stonehouses situation, their business was probably hurting due to the pandemic but here are just a few of the suggestions we offered to them that they turned down immediately.Paying them the full cost of the venue up front and reschedule our wedding for Feb 21, 2022. A full year later.Adding a clause to our contract that would offer us any amount of protection if the Pandemic was still ongoing.Reworking our contracts cancellation fee schedule to allow us to take more time to see if the pandemic would impact our date.They offered and accepted no solutions and the longer we waited to make a decision the larger our cancellation fee would become.At the end of this trainwreck we told them that we were very disappointed they were so inflexible in helping us keep our wedding safe and our planner had the gall to ask “In what way are we not being flexible?”We cancelled our wedding and they took our deposit and 25% of the contract value. They took almost $8,000 for a wedding a year away that they hadn’t spent an hour of work on. All they ever did for us was reserve a Sunday in the middle of February for a few months. Contractually they were within their rights, morally, they made us choose between our wedding and the health of our loved ones.We have since been in contact with friends whose weddings were also impacted by COVID 19 and their venues worked closely with them to reschedule and make sure their wedding would be safe. I recommend you book with those venues instead and avoid the Stonehouse.

Stone House at Stirling Ridge made our wedding dreams come true! My husband and I love food and serving our guests a delicious meal was important to us. The food at the Stone House is incredible and they did an unbelievable job of feeding our large party of 240, while maintaining their highest standards. People could not stop raving about the cocktail hour too! Secondly, we wanted to work with a trusted venue who was going to execute our wedding day perfectly. That they did. We worked with Carissa throughout the entire process and she was a dream partner. The day of the wedding, Frank and Mercedes took control and our night was flawless. We got married the weekend before Christmas and the Ballroom at the Stone House was the PERFECT place to bring our loved ones together to celebrate our wedding with the magic of the holidays as a backdrop. Carissa even kept up Christmas lights in the cocktail bar area for us as she knew we had a Christmas theme. Those details and care set the Stone House apart. Plus, they kept our bridal party well fed while we executed the pre-wedding photos, rehearsal, etc. Thank you, Stone House!!!!!!!

My daughter was married at The Stonehouse in The Lodge. There are not enough positive words to describe the planning and the wedding. Carissa is an absolute pleasure to work with and I imagine to work for. She has the most amazing team of professional and friendly staff. The first time we sat down with her to plan the wedding, we felt like we were special clients. That feeling never disappeared from that day until the wedding. My daughter and I had endless questions throughout the planning. Carissa always responded in a timely fashion and never made us feel like we were a bother. My guests are still talking about the wedding, the venue and especially the food. My husband and I have frequently eaten at The Stonehouse and have always been impressed. We were not surprised that the catering is equally impressive. From the tasting, to planning the menu, to the actual wedding, the choices were endless and amazing. I can not think of a single thing I would change about the day. It was Perfect!!Landmark Group is a top wedding venue because they know how to do it right the first time and every time!!!

I grew up going to the Stone House for dinners and knew it was on my list to check out when I first got engaged as I didn't want a traditional ballroom. The Lodge is a stunning, intimate space and the staff and support leading up to our wedding day was fantastic. We worked with Carissa who was quick to respond to all of our questions and help us finalize details. On the day of, there wasn't a single thing I would have changed. The food is absolutely fantastic (guests are still raving about the short ribs entree!) and the service was five stars. Carissa and her team really went above and beyond to ensure everything was perfect and that my husband and I were taken care of throughout the night. In particular, our bridal attendant stood outside in the cold with us to hold my flowers and coat while we took photos, put one of everything from the cocktail hour into the bridal suite since we couldn't make our way around the room, and kept refilling our drinks and reminding us to eat. We can't wait to go back for dinner in the future!

Carissa was extremely organized and kept us at ease throughout the process. So many of the details are taken care of and included which took a lot of stress off of us. The food! The Stone House was was such a beautiful place to have our wedding. We held our ceremony outside on the lawn, and our reception in the Lodge and we couldn’t have asked for a more amazing venue!! Every last person there made us feel at home, and took genuine care in our wedding. And that is not just how you feel on the actual wedding day - from the moment we met with them a year in advance, and every step of the way, the Stone House made us feel unique and special - you’re not just another wedding for them. We always felt like part of the family – they were all celebrating along with us. Our planner, Deirdre, is owed so much of the credit. She answered who knows how many questions from us, met with us frequently, guided us, calmed us down, set everything up perfectly - we can’t praise her enough for her care and support. And the entire staff on our wedding day was amazing. We wish we could have personally thanked each and every staff member for all they did for us to help us feel so unhindered and happy throughout the entire day. Everything went off without a hitch and it was an absolute blast. We didn’t have to think of a single detail the day of our wedding, which is exactly how it should be! Also, did we mention the food? Everyone still raves not only about the beautiful ambiance of the Lodge, but about the amazing, abundant food! We cannot thank the Stone House, Deirdre, and all the staff enough. We feel so fortunate we get to go back, have a drink on their patio, and reminisce about the wonderful times we had there.

Stone House separates two weddings and restaurant operations throughout the night flawlessly. Our wedding day could not have been more magical! We were surrounded by family and friends, we had perfect weather, of course--each other, and our team at the Stonehouse. Bonnie was fantastic and went above and beyond throughout the planning process. She listened to what we wanted and was able to make our vision become a reality. We met Frank a few times over the course of our planning and we knew he was amazing, but our wedding day couldn't have gone more perfectly and we have to thank Frank for that! Frank's attention to detail and genuine concern for us and our guests meant the world to us. Stephanie was also an integral part of our day. As our bridal attendant, she helped with everything from bustling, to food and drink, and even helping with a \"catastrophic\" spill on my wedding dress! Stephanie made a point to ensure that my husband and I had time to freshen up and eat something before our party. We sat up in the bridal loft with a buffet of appetizers, drinks, and water, looking down at our guests mingling at the cocktail hour below. Looking back, it was one of our favorite moments of the night--we had a few minutes of quiet time together to (try to) soak it all in, we were fed, and after 15 minutes or so, we were ready to party! The staff at the Stonehouse took so much care in every detail and found a perfect balance between honoring our requests and offering suggestions as needed. During an inevitably stressful process, we never doubted our team at the Stonehouse. Our wedding day could not have been more magical! We were surrounded by family and friends, we had perfect weather, of course--each other, and our team at the Stonehouse. Bonnie was fantastic and went above and beyond throughout the planning process. She listened to what we wanted and was able to make our vision become a reality. We met Frank a few times over the course of our planning and we knew he was amazing, but our wedding day couldn't have gone more perfectly and we have to thank Frank for that! Frank's attention to detail and genuine concern for us and our guests meant the world to us. Stephanie was also an integral part of our day. As our bridal attendant, she helped with everything from bustling, to food and drink, and even helping with a \"catastrophic\" spill on my wedding dress! Stephanie made a point to ensure that my husband and I had time to freshen up and eat something before our party. We sat up in the bridal loft with a buffet of appetizers, drinks, and water, looking down at our guests mingling at the cocktail hour below. Looking back, it was one of our favorite moments of the night--we had a few minutes of quiet time together to (try to) soak it all in, we were fed, and after 15 minutes or so, we were ready to party! The staff at the Stonehouse took so much care in every detail and found a perfect balance between honoring our requests and offering suggestions as needed. During an inevitably stressful process, we never doubted our team at the Stonehouse. Even more so, we are so excited to be able to return to the restaurant area for celebrations to come, and in an effort to relive the best day ever!Thank you, thank you, THANK YOU, to the entire staff!

She was so prompt and attentive and answered every question we had without hesitation. I got married 8/9/19 and our reception was at the Stone House in the Lodge. It was absolutely perfect! Not only is the property beautiful, but the service was incredible. Bonnie was our memory maker and she was awesome! She made the whole process very easy and was helpful every step of the way. Our maitre'd and bridal attendant did a wonderful job to help make the whole day run smoothly as well. Stephanie was my bridal attendant and she was there every step of the way holding my train and veil, and making sure my husband and we well fed and hydrated! They really did a great job making sure we were well taken care of. I wasn't feeling great during the reception, and Bonnie made sure I had pedialyte at the table and was checking in throughout the night to see how I was doing. Bonnie, and the rest of the staff really went above and beyond to make sure we all had a wonderful night that no one would forget, and we did! The food during cocktail hour and the reception were wonderful, along with our delicious signature drinks! (We requested spicy watermelon margarita which was so delicious and fresh, and a coconut mojito. highly recommend both!)We have no complaints and no regrets! If you are considering the Stone House, book with them! You will not regret it!!

I can't even begin to express how special and unique the entire evening turned out to be. From the top quality food and beverages to stunning grounds boasting beautiful florals and plants, our families and other guests are STILL raving about the wedding one month later. Carissa was our \"go-to\" girl along the way. She went out of her way to accommodate our every need and request. She made us feel comfortable and never made any appointment seem like a \"sales meeting.\" Carissa genuinely loves her couples and wants their special day to be as \"perfect\" as possible. You can see this through her attention to detail/planning process, being present on the ACTUAL wedding day, and her quick /open communication. I literally felt like she was a friend and trusted her advice and opinion. She also hooked us up with some incredible contacts/vendors. Carissa was so kind and genuine, which again, is hard to come by in this industry. I'm so thankful we met her!I can go on and on and on about Landmark Catering and specifically the Stone House and our manager Carissa. As I reflect on how attentive the assistants were or the bartenders/servers and look back at photos of the fantastic evening (the room itself is just insanely beautiful with it's rustic-elegance combined with a splash of trend), I just want to relive it all over again!! Even with a passing \"good luck\" thunderstorm that day, the fluidity and details surpassed our already high hopes. YOU WILL NOT REGRET HOSTING YOUR EVENT HERE!!!! We would like to thank the entire staff of Stone House, particularly our coordinator Bonnie, our maître d’ Frank, our bridal attendant Stephanie for making our wedding a dream come true. Over the course of our wedding planning, Bonnie was so patient, fun to work with, and quick to respond to all of our questions and concerns. Our wedding was truly the perfect day thanks to Bonnie. On the day of the wedding, Frank kept us calm and organized throughout the ceremony and introductions, and he gave great pep talks. Our bridal assistant, Stephanie, was with us from start to finish. She was so incredibly helpful and attentive! We did a continuous 5-hour cocktail style reception instead of a sit down dinner and it was the best decision we could have made. It allowed our guests to go with the flow, dance, eat and drink when they wanted or hang outside by the beautiful fire pits. All of the food was amazing, and we enjoyed every single station we chose, especially the Austin BBQ, sushi, and paella stations. We were also thrilled with the coordination between Stone House and all of our vendors as well. The venue looked beautiful and everything ran so smoothly. We are thrilled to thank the entire staff of Stone House, particularly our coordinator Bonnie, our maître d’ Frank, our bridal attendant Stephanie, and every single person who flawlessly and gracefully made our wedding day perfect from start to end. It was the most beautiful atmosphere, during both the sun and the rain. When a rainstorm came right before the ceremony was to start, we were amazed by the speed at which the staff coordinated the most beautiful arrangement of huge umbrellas to guide guests and the wedding party into the ceremony space. All of the food was amazing and we, and all our guests, were delighted. The food was truly just as good as during our dining experiences at the restaurant. The coordination between the Stone House and all of our separate vendors was wonderful, relieving us of any stress on the day of, and all went perfectly as planned. Bonnie was so patient, easy and fun to work with, quickly responding to emails during a very long engagement and thus many months of planning. If you’re looking for a beautiful, elegant, not stuffy, wedding venue with delicious food and drinks that will please your guests and have them raving, the Stone House is for you. We are thrilled to thank the entire staff of Stone House, particularly our coordinator Bonnie, our maître d’ Frank, our bridal attendant Stephanie, and every single person who flawlessly and gracefully made our wedding day perfect from start to end. It was the most beautiful atmosphere, during both the sun and the rain. When a rainstorm came right before the ceremony was to start, we were amazed by the speed at which the staff coordinated the most beautiful arrangement of huge umbrellas to guide guests and the wedding party into the ceremony space. All of the food was amazing and we, and all our guests, were delighted. The food was truly just as good as during our dining experiences at the restaurant. The coordination between the Stone House and all of our separate vendors was wonderful, relieving us of any stress on the day of, and all went perfectly as planned. Bonnie was so patient, easy and fun to work with, quickly responding to emails during a very long engagement and thus many months of planning. If you’re looking for a beautiful, elegant, not stuffy, wedding venue with delicious food and drinks that will please your guests and have them raving, the Stone House is for you. Thank you for everything!!! We wish we could do it all over again!

Carissa was an absolute dream to work with at the Stone House. We ended up with 250 loud Greek and Pilipino guests who danced to their hearts’ content in the Grand Ballroom, and fattened themselves up on some of the most delicious cocktail hour treats, entrees, and desserts many of them had ever feasted on. We added the suckling pig to the experience and it was a huge hit!! When first touring venues, what made Stone House stand out to us was that Carissa was the only person who asked us what we wanted our special day to be rather than running straight through the logistics of how Stone House decides all weddings should go. It was that personal detail that made us feel like we would be well taken care of, and we were right! Carissa is incredibly timely in responses, will answer any and every question no matter how silly or complicated it may seem, and clearly truly loves weddings. She could have been one of our guests with just how much she was beaming on the special day!Last but certainly not least, Stone House has an impressive lexicon of preferred vendors. Both our baker and our floral designer were recommended by the venue and we could not have been happier with the outcome. This venue was the perfect canvas to paint our special day. We cannot wait to return to the restaurant to celebrate anniversaries in the years to come. Thank you again for everything, Carissa!

My husband and I first began our venue search with 2 Landmark venues - the first was the Ryland Inn, and the second was the Stone House. While the Ryland Inn was also a beautiful place, we fell in love with the Stone House and I was so glad we both felt the same way, as sometimes couples can have a difference in opinions. Our first meeting was with Bonnie, and all I can say is that she has been absolutely nothing but wonderful from Day 1. She is truly an asset to this company and I am so glad we had the pleasure of working with her. She made everything SO easy, had an answer to ALL of our questions, was very kind, patient, listened to all of our concerns, had many suggestions, and is extremely responsive to all emails (even on her days off)! We truly could not have asked for more. I had doubts of whether or not we'd be able to handle planning a wedding without a wedding planner, but Bonnie and the Stone House made this part of the process so easy and we didn't have to worry about a thing. They really make you feel like you belong. The Stone House itself has amazing food which all of our guests spoke highly about. The Lodge is beautiful and just what we were looking for - a modern/rustic feel and not a big ballroom type which could be a bit intimidating. Our goal was to make sure everyone enjoyed the food, music, and ambiance. The outside bar at Stone House is also awesome and a great go to spot on a summer afternoon/evening. If you are thinking about having your wedding here, ask for Bonnie, I promise she will take care of you. We truly want to thank the whole Stone House staff for making our day so wonderful and memorable.

I had the challenge of planning a new jersey wedding from across the country in los angeles. My parents and maid of honor went to see Stone House and some other venues for me. They insisted that Stone House was definitely the place we needed to get married. About a month later my husband and I got the opportunity to see the venue for ourselves and meet our event manager Bonnie. We instantly knew we had chosen the right place. Over the course of the year leading up to our wedding Bonnie was helpful, available, and responsive 100% of the time. I can't stress enough how much I appreciated her dedication to making our day PERFECT. I honestly felt as though I was Bonnie's only bride, the experience was so personal. I'm an event planner myself so attention to detail is very important to me and let me tell you Stone House executed our day to a T. The food was incredible, the alcohol was flowing - a few broken glasses on the dancefloor were cleaned up literally within 2 minutes. The professionalism is truly unmatched and our guests are still raving about the food. Lastly, the bridal attendant was the secret weapon I didn't even know I needed. She was there handing us drinks, making sure we ate, carrying my train and anticipating any need we may have. If you're on the fence do not hesitate to book Stone House - it's truly worth every penny.

We had our wedding at the Stone House in January. Not only did they make our winter wedding dreams come true, they went above and beyond to ensure we had a beautiful day on site. Carissa is a GOD! She truly helped bring our vision to life and ensured we had everything in order on the big day. The staff was very accommodating of the various dietary restrictions of our family and guests, and the food was OUTSTANDING. Everyone was completely blown away by the selection and quality. The maitre'd was an incredible problem solver and helped keep everything running smoothly for us. We opted to tent in the \"outdoor\" ceremony space and on a snowy January night it was cozy warm for all of our guests. We couldn't have asked for a better experience or a more beautiful venue!
