Unique and Versatile, Rustic yet Chic!
Situated in Hampton, CT, StoneHurst at Hampton Valley is a unique property nestled on 90+ acres of land with not just one but TWO amazing venues. The Mansion at StoneHurst (opening in May 2020) and The Barns at StoneHurst are two different venues for two different types of couples on their special day. Each venue comes with its own parking lot, ceremony site, and dressing rooms- we believe that no guest-of-honor should see another on their special day, and we have worked extremely hard to ensure we keep it that way. We do, however, give you the option to rent BOTH properties to make your day even more special - enjoy our ENTIRE property with your guests, what gets better than that? I was a bridesmaid in a wedding at StoneHurst back in 2021...that next week, I got engaged and IMMEDIATELY reached out to StoneHurst to book my own wedding. THAT's how perfect the day was for my friend. That same value of service, care, support and enthusiasm was recieved by myself and my (now) husband on our wedding day :) Bevin was our incredible coordinator. Jenna, the owner, was close by, too, as the venue is a team effort! Both Bevin and Jenna were awesome to work with. Flexible, attentive, and willing to go the extra mile for their clients. Unlike most venues, you get StoneHurst for the full day and the service you recieve is unmatched! The best decision of our entire wedding process was booking StoneHurst for our day. It felt like a fairytale and will forever be the best. day. ever.

We got married at Stonehurst on 7/14/23, and we honestly couldn't have asked for a better venue to work with. Everything was beautiful, the vibe was positive, and Francesca made sure the day ran without a hitch. Our guests still rave about the food to this day! I genuinely can't imagine our wedding happening anywhere else, and the service and support the staff gave us on the day was excellent. We got married at Stonehurst on 7/14/23, and we honestly couldn't have asked for a better venue to work with. Everything was beautiful, the vibe was positive, and Francesca made sure the day ran without a hitch. Our guests still rave about the food to this day! We got married 10/27/23! We rented the Barns and the Mansions. The venue was absolutely beautiful! We knew we wanted to get married here as soon as we toured the place. The grounds are well maintained and the food is absolutely delicious. We had the BBQ buffet and people are still raving about the food. If you are considering getting married here, donât hesitate. You will love it!

We got married 10/27/23! We rented the Barns and the Mansions. The venue was absolutely beautiful! We knew we wanted to get married here as soon as we toured the place. The grounds are well maintained and the food is absolutely delicious. We had the BBQ buffet and people are still raving about the food. If you are considering getting married here, donât hesitate. You will love it!

Where do I begin? If there were more than 5 stars to give, I would definitely give it to Stonehurst! We utilized both the Barns and the Mansion and it was absolutely PERFECT! When we first toured Stonehurst we fell in love with all of it's beauty, but then as we got to know the staff we quickly realized that Stonehurst was the full package! We worked closely with Jenna and she was the absolute BEST! She helped everything run so smoothly and was there for us if we needed anything throughout the whole process! Carol the tour guide was also the sweetest! Aside from the venue being BEAUTIFUL and the staff being AMAZING... their food was out of this world! We got married at the Barns venue at Stonehurst at Hampton Valley and can't say enough about how amazing the staff, food, and venue were. Bevin and Jenna were always easy to work with and willing to do whatever they could to make the day run smoothly and as we wanted. All of our guests complimented how beautiful the venue was, how attentive and friendly the staff was, and how amazing the food was (including those who usually complain about wedding food!). The ability to get ready at the venue was so helpful and the spaces you get to hang out in while you do are just awesome. The staff truly does make your vision come to life and make it a very stress free day for the couple. They also notice and take care of the small things-- a comment from several people in the wedding party was how thoughtful it was that they took our drink order before the ceremony and had it ready when we exited to cocktail hour. They even made a plate of one of each of the passed appetizers and put it at the sweetheart table to make sure we got to try them. Interacting with the staff throughout the day they were also just so kind and personable and put everyone at ease. Would recommend Stonehurst in a heartbeat to anyone!

My husband and I recently got married at StoneHurst on 11/3/2023 and chose the barn side. Every single thing was absolutely amazing and exceeded our expectations from the process of touring, booking, and communication from the staff. The love and dedication StoneHurst staff has for their couples is more than we could have imagined. Our wedding day was FLAWLESS and everything we wanted. There was no wedding day stress! Our coordinator, Jenna, was exceptional. She truly cares and loves the people she works with and makes sure every bride and groom feel like the only bride and groom on their wedding day. Lastly, the food was PHENOMENAL! We chose the BBQ buffet and it did not disappoint! WE LOVE YOU STONEHURST!

Our wedding was 11/19 and it was truly amazing. Our ceremony and reception were inside the mansion and everything went seamlessly. We had Francesca as our coordinator and she ensured that I (as the bride) didnât have to worry about anything all the way through the wedding, even when I had no idea what was going on next. She set everything up for us, broke it all down for us, organized all the vendors, and rounded up the wedding party beautifully for all events throughout the day. When people say âsomething is bound to go wrong on your wedding dayâ, it is not true here. We cannot think of one thing that went awry and are beyond happy we chose to have our wedding here. The ceremony was beautiful and intimate with white curtains lining the border, and the reception was a blast. We heard nothing but raves from our guests on the food, environment, and venue itself! Highly recommend, worth every penny!

My husband and I recently had the pleasure of hosting our wedding at StoneHurst in early November, and we are still floating on cloud nine!The first thing that we noticed immediately was the stunning architecture of the Mansion and the beautiful landscaping that surrounds the venue. The attention to detail in every corner was evident, and it provided a romantic and enchanting backdrop for our ceremony and reception.I cannot say enough about how wonderful the entire staff was to work with! From our initial inquiry to the day of the event, they demonstrated professionalism, warmth, and a genuine commitment to making our wedding day extraordinary. Jenna and her team went above and beyond to ensure that every aspect of our celebration was meticulously planned and executed flawlessly.Now, let's talk about the food! Our guests are still raving about all of the apps and the bbq buffet! Not to mention the fantastic cocktails that the bar provided that our friends and family cannot stop talking about.The venue's amenities were top-notch, providing a luxurious and comfortable experience, especially for us as the bride and groom. The bridal suite and groom's lounge were extremely spacious. My hair and makeup artist can't stop raving about the setup they had in order for us to get ready! Even the service while getting ready was fantastic! As a DIY bride it was so reassuring that Jenna and her team handled all of the decor and executed it beyond my wildest dreams! They took the decor we had and really made the vision we had come to life! In conclusion, our wedding at StoneHurst was absolutely a dream! We got married at Stonehurst at Hampton Valley (Barn) 11/4/23. Jenna was our coordinator and did not miss a beat. She was super sweet to work with, while also being helpful, organized, extremely responsive and informative. She made everything run very smoothly the day of, and I knew she had my back which honestly, is invaluable in a wedding coordinator. I trusted her whole heartedly âŠand she delivered. The bridal suite is something out of a country fairytale, and has a TON of room. We were super comfortable and it was so nice having a room to do touchups between the ceremony and pictures reception. We did our ceremony at a church off site, and came back to take pictures at the venue before the reception. Jenna had set everything up and it was GORGEOUS, better than I could have envisioned. She and the staff were attentive without being overbearing, and made sure we had everything we needed. The Food was EXCELLENT, we hired woodfellas the late night pizza truck and it was a huge hit. A lot of people said it was the best food at any wedding they had gone to. 10/10 experience all around and I couldnât be more happy that we chose Stonehurst. Jenna was so friendly, kind and always responded to our emails right away! Kayla was a gem to work with through it all! She was always so helpful with all our questions and made our vision come to life! We cannot say enough about how beautiful the enchanted forrest was to get married in, it truly felt like a fairytale. My husband and I got married in the mansion on 4.21.23 and we canât even begin to explain how much we loved this venue! From the fist time we went to visit we knew this was the place for us. The grounds are absolutely beautiful and it was so different than any other wedding venue we have been to. Everything was immaculate and the staff was so attentive. We felt right at home being here and did not want to leave when the night was over- I actually cried when we had to go get our stuff from the bridal suite. The food was AMAZING and everyone canât stop talking about it. When we went for our tasting we loved the food but it was somehow even better on the night of our wedding (we chose the BBQ menu). Our day of coordinator Sarah was the best and went above and beyond to make our day as stress free and enjoyable as possible. We are so appreciative of her! Jenna the venue manager was so sweet and great to work with as well and was so communicative during the entire planning process. Stonehurst will forever hold a special place our hearts!!

Everything looked absolutely AMAZING, the food was incredible (we did BBQ buffet) and the staff were so helpful and welcoming! We couldnât have picked a more perfect venue, absolutely stunning! Everyone came up to us and told us how beautiful the barn and grounds were which is exactly why StoneHurst was our one and only venue we looked at. We knew it would be the perfect pick for us! And that bridal suiteâ IN LOVE WITH IT!!!! Our day of coordinator, Bevin, was always there to answer all of my numerous questions when I would write her a book. Bevin and the staff at StoneHurst did the most amazing job coordinating our special day from our first meeting, to rehearsal, to packing everything up for us at the end of the night. We had our ceremony indoors due to rain, but the staff transformed the space and it was still beautiful!!! Our wedding was everything we could have dreamed of having and we couldnât have done it without the amazing staff at StoneHurst!! If youâre thinking of StoneHurst for your venue, DO IT. StoneHurst truly does the best job of making your day run as smooth as possible. They went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we could ask for! They even made my vision come true during my father-daughter dance by setting up my projector for a personal video. Our bridal party couldnât stop complimenting us about the bridal suite space and our guests said over and over that it was the best wedding food theyâve ever had. We genuinely cannot recommend this venue enough and wish we could relive it all over again! Cannot wait to be invited to a wedding as a guest just to come back! We loved everything about our wedding and couldnât ask for a better day!

My husband and I got married at StoneHurst on 09/15/2023 and the day was nothing short of amazing! Not only is StoneHurst the most beautiful venue we have ever seen, but the staff is also absolutely amazing! We got married right after the terrible rainstorm that caused pretty extensive damage to the grounds, Jenna reached out the night before our rehearsal informing us that unfortunately we wouldn't be able to have our ceremony at the Little River (luckily, we did a full buyout so there was a backup plan). Jenna shared a couple pictures and a video of the damages and I'm not going to lie, I was a little nervous. However, StoneHurst has the absolute dream team working for them that when we arrived the next day you would never know they experienced any property damage at all - the place looked amazing. The day of ran smoothly and Jenna and her team took my vision and made it come to life! The setup of our reception absolutely blew me away! Our guests are still talking about how beautiful the whole wedding was and truly amazed with the property. Last but certainty not least, the food was delicious! My husband and I got married at StoneHurst on 09/15/2023 and the day was nothing short of amazing! Not only is StoneHurst the most beautiful venue we have ever seen, but the staff is also absolutely amazing! From the time of touring, we were in love with the outdoor spaces at Stonehurst, but unfortunately our wedding day was the only rainy day of the week. Jenna worked with us to reinvision our day and make us just as excited to use the beautiful indoor spaces. I will say to ensure you have a solidifed rain plan prior to booking if this is important to you because there were options presented during our tour that were not logistically realistic after speaking with Jenna the week of our wedding. Jenna was fantastic on the day of rehearsal and of the wedding. I felt that she had full focus on us and helping to pull everything together. We have received so many compliments on the food (barbeque buffet), the beauty, and the attentiveness of the Stonehurst staff. I felt the buyout was very worthwhile as it allowed for movement throughout the grounds and the transition from mansion to barns was seamless for our 120 guest wedding. Overall, I couldn't be happier with our choice in venue and wish we could relive this day over and over again!

Everyone was lovely, helpful and so organized. We didn't need to worry about anything, we just enjoyed our day!Our guests were so impressed with how beautiful the venue was and still telling us how much they enjoyed the food! I truly cannot say enough positive things about the venue, staff, and management at StoneHurst. From the planning to the wedding day - everything was great. Jenna is a pleasure to work with and was so helpful when we needed guidance with certain questions. I was told to just show up on my wedding day and everything else would be taken care of. That is exactly what happened. I gave instructions for how I wanted the decor set up and I swear the staff read my mind because it was exactly how I would have done it. I loved that we were able to bring anything we needed for the wedding day up during rehearsal (Friday wedding). This made it so much easier on my husband and I. The food was amazing which we already knew because they hold a menu tasting in January for that years couples. We received so many compliments from our guests. The grounds are gorgeous and I highly suggest doing the full buyout of the property so you are the only wedding there. This was you can utilize the full property for pictures / getting ready. We had a guest that had a broken foot and they were able to accommodate him so he was comfortable. they even brought down a big chair for him to sit in / elevate his foot. We had to make a few changes to our headcount and table layout due to guests changing their RSVP last minute and Jenna had no problem doing so. She told me not to stress. The mansion is classy, beautiful and romantic - we held cocktail hour here. It has perfect bridal / groom suites to get in with full salon chairs in the bridal suite which makes it easier for you hair / makeup artists. The grooms suite has table games, full shower, and a large couch to relax / get ready. The Barn is gorgeous, rustic, and spacious. Also has excellent bridal / groom suites! I highly recommend this venue for anyone who is looking for a gorgeous headache free venue! Jenna assured me she and the staff would handle anything and everything that needed to be attended to. They nailed it!

We just got married at the mansion at Stonehurst last month and the wedding could not have been more perfect! We had a sudden rain shower that forced our ceremony inside but our coordinator was on top of it and made an easy transition that ended up looking even more beautiful. The sushi bar and all the rest of the food was a huge hit and everyone raved about how gorgeous the venue was. The staff even packaged up all the décor at the end of the night so we had a stress free departure. Could not recommend this venue more and if you are on the fence, just go look at the venue in person and you will fall in love like we did!

We absolutely fell in love with Stonehurst the day we stepped on the property. My husband and I knew we were going to get married at this venue that day. Jenna was our coordinator and she was incredibility responsive to all of our questions, and made our dreams come true! She literally took care of everything and I mean everything. She watched the weather the whole day, so my bridesmaids and I didn't have to. Unfortunately, we had weather issues which forced our wedding ceremony to be indoors (instead of the lovely enchanted forest), but even though we had to change locations from outdoor to indoor it was done in a matter of seconds and still looked as gorgeous if not better than it did outdoors. Our guests still rave about the hospitality and FOOD!!!! they received at the venue. It was the greatest day of our lives and we can't beginning to thank Jenna and the wonderful staff at Stonehurst enough! We literally felt like we became a part of the Stonehurst family that day, and we love you all!

If youâve been envisioning the details of your dream wedding since you were a little girl like I have, then do yourself a favor and choose this venue. Jenna was our coordinator and she did not disappoint for one second. She was amazing ! Sheâs kind, patient, and beyond helpful. We emailed back and forth (which seemed like a million times) just to ensure my picture perfect day became reality. Everything was smooth and flawless - from the rehearsal, the ceremony, and a very long 16 months of detail-oriented planning, Jenna made sure to make it happen perfectly. The food was delicious! The bartenders did not pour weak or watered down drinks. We hired Goodfellas Pizza Truck which our guests loved! The beautiful, elegant and rustic Barn was everything I couldâve dream of and more. Multiple of our guests approached my husband and I to tell us it was the best wedding theyâve ever been too. I got married at Stonehurst in the Barn a week ago on 5/12/2023. If you are considering Stonehurst as your wedding venue and youâre a bride like me who has a certain level of control freak in them and worries about every little thing and detail. BOOK THIS VENUE! You wonât regret it! Jenna and her team brought my vision together even better than I couldâve imagined. I didnât have any of my decor labeled, just gave them a few verbals of what I had in mind and they went to town and made everything look amazing. If anything went wrong, I didnât know a thing about it. I felt very relaxed on my wedding day, we were able to take our time getting ready and we somehow managed to start everything on time. We had the bbq buffet, the fire pit was going with sâmores, and we hired the pizza truck for late night snacks. Our guests and ourselves loved the relaxed vibe of our reception. Guests were under the tent enjoying the beautiful weather, playing yard games, making sâmores and getting a slice of pizza. There was a stretch of time where no on one was on the dance floor but the last hour we had quite the dance party going. No one felt pressured to dance and those who donât dance werenât sitting at their tables bored watching others dance, they were enjoying all the things and the company outside. We did a first look and most of our photos before the ceremony which meant we got to mingle during our cocktail hour, eat our yummy dinner and enjoy the amenities with our guests during the reception. Everything was perfect for our personalities and our likes. We canât thank the staff at Stonehurst enough. If youâre a worry wart bride that wants a venue that does it ALL for you and is a well oiled machine, book Stonehurst, you wonât regret it!

I got married at Stonehurst in the Barn a week ago on 5/12/2023. If you are considering Stonehurst as your wedding venue and youâre a bride like me who has a certain level of control freak in them and worries about every little thing and detail. BOOK THIS VENUE! You wonât regret it! Jenna and her team brought my vision together even better than I couldâve imagined. I didnât have any of my decor labeled, just gave them a few verbals of what I had in mind and they went to town and made everything look amazing. If anything went wrong, I didnât know a thing about it. I felt very relaxed on my wedding day, we were able to take our time getting ready and we somehow managed to start everything on time. We had the bbq buffet, the fire pit was going with sâmores, and we hired the pizza truck for late night snacks. Our guests and ourselves loved the relaxed vibe of our reception. Guests were under the tent enjoying the beautiful weather, playing yard games, making sâmores and getting a slice of pizza. I got married at the mansion last month and it was truly magical. The entire staff was incredible and went above and beyond. Sarah was such a great day of coordinator and worked her magic to make our decor even better than we imagined. She made everything smooth on my end so I had absolutely no worries day of. When we first toured stonehurst we fell in love. The space was beautiful and Carol, the tour guide, was very high energy and really welcoming. The two things that cinched the Mansion for us were the bridal suite and the little river space. The problem started when i was scrolling through Instagram one day and saw a story from them showing that the little river space was completely transformed. Before what was 90 percent grass was now paved stone and crushed gravel. I understand since finding this out that they had to do something due to drainage issues but the lack of accountability in getting the word out to current contracted couples was very disapointing, again the only mention of this major change was in a disappearing instagram story so if i hadnt been lucky enough to see it i have no idea when we would have been contacted about this change. After contacting Jenna directly she explained the need for the change, which my husband and I understood but she severely downplayed our concerns, I would even go as far as to say it came off as gasligting. My reasons for this are as follows: A.) When we explained we were disappointed she said we were the only couple to have an issue with it. That in and of itself is a skewed fact because by her own admission they hadn't really told anyone yet. And also even if we were the only ones to have an issue with it we still should have been given the respect of being contacted directly about this change.B.) Jenna tried telling us that the space was landscaped exactly the same but that was an outright lie. What was before 90 percent grass was now a paved aisle and Crushed stone to the left and right. C.) Apparently the owner, (this was relayed through Jenna during a phone conference, we never spoke directly to the owner) said we should be happy because our chances of having the ceremony outside at the end of April greatly improved because before we could have easily been rained out even if it had only rained days before not day of due to the drainage issue. This information was not given to us at the time of booking. Again the little river ceremony space was part of the reason we choose it and for most places an off season date is to keep business consistent throughtout the year, hence the discounted rate for april. This also seemed shady to us. It was also disappointing to us because we had finalized our flowers for the space and had to completely change the vision due to this change. We still choose to have the ceremony at the little river seeing as it was still better than the other option as I didn't want to see it being set up from the bridal suite which would have been the case if we had gone with the greens. I will say after this change came out Jenna was very responsive to our emails, I only wish they had been upfront about the changes and hadn't trivialized our concerns. At this point, seven months after this came out, they still have not updated the picture of the little river space on their website or made a permanent post about it on their Instagram. When it came to the day of the wedding, getting ready in the bridal suite was everything I had pictured. It was spacious and airy, providing plenty of space for me and my girls, it even had a shower, not that we used it but the option was there. There were two disappointments the day of the wedding though. 1.) My bridesmaids, when being taken down to the ceremony spot for a quick rehearsal, had to remind Sarah that we had opted for and paid for the fire pit and smores add on. She didn't think it was in our contract and therefor had not intended for it to be set up. In my opinion the contracts should be reviewed ahead of time to make sure everything the couple asked for and paid for will be provided. If you do go with this venue I would recommend the smores firepit. All of our guests loved it and it added a special touch. 2.) We had a self serve pie station for dessert instead of cake. My husband and I got married last week at Stonehurst and everything was absolutely amazing!! Jenna and Francesca were our coordinators and they were the best⊠sweet, accommodating, talented.. the whole staff was excellent! I got ready in the barn bridal suites and had my hair stylists and makeup artists come there to take care of my bridal party. It was so nice to relax in the suite with all my girls and have my 2 dogs there (the venue is pet friendly for those dog lovers like me đ„°). Couldnât be happier with this venue and definitely recommend it, all of our guest loved it and said the food was delicious!!!

While my wedding day could have been incredibly stressful, Jenna and her employees thought of everything. They took care of every detail and hiccup so my husband and I could relax and have fun. They made our day more perfect than I could have ever even imagined!! They set everything up, supported me in every way, and solved every problem. The staff even helped my grandmother get my grandfather who is ill to the car. Everyone and thing was phenomenal! My husband(!) and I got married at the Mansion at StoneHurst this past November and it was everything we ever dreamed of. We were first in touch with Jenna, who was super communicative and helpful in the booking process.Sarah was our coordinator and she is the BEST! The morning of our wedding we ended up arriving to StoneHurst a little late due to food poisoning from bad coffee creamer - not how we imagined this day to start - but Sarah welcomed us warmly, made sure we had anything and everything we needed all day, communicated with every vendor, and really took care of everything. I DIY'd a lot for our wedding and had taken photos of how I wanted the decor to be placed in the space, but before I was able to show Sarah photos (within maybe 20 minutes of us arriving), she and her team had set up most of our reception space decor so much better than I would have - she really has an eye for setting up a beautiful space. It downpoured the whole morning of our wedding day. Sarah knew how badly I wanted to have the ceremony at Little River location outside and kept an eye on the weather down to the literal minute we had to make our decision of whether we would have the ceremony indoors or outdoors (it cleared JUST in time for us!). The whole staff at StoneHurst were so helpful, kind, and professional from beginning to end. Thank you so much, Sarah and SH staff, for making this day go so smoothly and making it the best day ever!

There are many factors that make StoneHurst the perfect venue to get married at (or I'm sure have any event).Staff: I got the wonderful opportunity to work closely with both Jenna and Alivia (no longer there). Both were extremely responsive to emails, attentive to details, and would be a great resource to bounce ideas off of. For the amount of emails I've sent - with the amount of questions I asked - I would have expected \"short\" responses (out of annoyance of answering the same questions) - but Jenna and Alivia were both incredibly patient, kind, and fun to work with. They truly made the wedding planning experience a personal and unique one. Venue: There are many locations within the premises - Mansion, Barn and outdoor ceremony sites. Depending on what your vision is (and the weather), the team will certainly work with you to create the perfect day. I got married in the Mansion and loved it. The Mansion fit 120 guests and we had 100, which we felt was perfect. With 100, there weren't awkward pockets of empty space, but it also did not feel overly crowded. The Bridal Suite is by far one of the best features of the Mansion. Pet Friendly: For those of you who are looking to include your dogs in your wedding, look no further. The venue is INCREDIBLY dog friendly. They allow up to 2 dogs and both of mine were with me from the moment we walked on site for our big day. They weren't always on a leash and got to walk down the aisle. It really makes it a stress free day to have your pets there as part of your big day. Food: THE ONLY DOWNSIDE of the venue is the food-tasting experience (BUT DON'T WORRY IF YOU DON'T TASTE THE FOOD BEFORE BOOKING). My husband and I found the venue and booked sometime end of March/early April 2022 for a December 2022 wedding. At least during 2022, the venue only had 1 food tasting experience, which occurred prior to us signing the contract. So we booked our venue, without ever knowing what the food would taste like, but we were still confident after reading all reviews. The menu is extensive and our guests had no complaints. The cocktail food was also amazing. So again -- if this makes you hesitate -- please believe the reviews that praise the quality and taste of the food! I would highly recommend the venue to others!

I can not say enough amazing things about Stonehurst! I got super lucky with someone canceling their date and was able to grab 11/11/22. Everything about this place is thought out. From the beautiful venues (a barn and mansion) to the staff and food. The venue is beautiful on its own and you do not need a lot of decor to spice it up (but you are welcome to bring whatever you want!). Jenna was an absolute gem to work with. She answered every email I had, with no attitude for how many times I emailed her! The staff when giving tours were very thorough and walked you through all the different options that were available to you. They walked you through both venues (because you can rent them both if you want to) and what comes with each venue. The food is incredible! You can mix and match to make the meals whatever you want them to be. All I can say is hire Stonehurst with Jenna as your coordinator, you will not be disappointed. Our wedding was an absolutely dream and I have no complaints!

My wife and I searched high and low for a wedding venue to suit our âstyleâ, from Rhode Island to Long Island. Long into our search for a venue we stumble across Stonehurst. From our first tour to packing up, it was a breeze. Jenna, our coordinator, was more than exceptional. Jenna made our wedding as seem-less as we could have imagined, we hardly had to lift a finger. The grooms sweet in the barns were awesome! They were very âmanlyâ and comfortable with 2 comfortable couches and a big screen TV. Off the groom sweet was an awesome balcony that overlooked the grounds. I must say the grounds were kept very good as well. The team at Stonehurst worked tirelessly to ensure that our day was exceptional. As for the food, unbelievable. We opted for the BBQ buffet, again, more our style and we were blown away. Ribs, pulled pork, Mac and cheese, everything was cooked to perfection with very good attention to detail. I couldnât recommend this venue any more to anyone. My wife and I will have many great memories of this venue for years to come. Thank you to the entire staff at Stonehurst, especially Jenna for a wonderful and memorable day.

I noticed a lot of these reviews are from the brides, so I decided to put a review from a groom on here. My name is Mike and my wife and I recently got married here at Stonehurst. Jenna was the coordinator on, (who I also found out is the general manager too) and let me just say I couldnât believe how well organized and kind she was to everyone! StoneHurst is such a beautiful wedding venue and the staff is amazing. We had the pleasure of working with Alivia as our coordinator - she was without a doubt the most organized, helpful, and amazing person to work with. From our first meeting to our big day...she was so communicative and quick to answer any questions. I felt so catered by her and her team. We got married at the mansion; the bridal suite is perfect to get ready in and everyone in our bridal party really enjoyed and loved the day. tWith our package we will able to get drinks all day while getting ready. From a couple who booked over 2 years out to get a Fall date at the Barns -- it is so worth the wait. From the moment we arrived on wedding day every single one of our guests were tended to. I never had to lift a finger the entire day. The new bridal suite is HUGE and my bridal party loved having space to lounge throughout the day while we were getting our hair and makeup done. The boys arrived later and were able to enjoy the beautiful weather with yard games and drinks outside. We loved that we were able to order lunch and how accommodating they were with the gluten-free people in our group. Jenna and her staff were very attentive and always available for us throughout the day. They also were able to assist our day of coordinator with making my vision come to life, which I could not be more thankful for as it looked beautiful. Both the venue and ceremony site were stunning, and the trolley and golf carts were greatly appreciated by our staff and wedding party with getting to and from the ceremony site. Our guests are still talking about how amazing the food and drinks were from our wedding. We could not have been happier with our entire experience at StoneHurst, from the moment we toured the venue to the second the night ended, everything went smoothly and we could not be more thankful. I did not have to lift a finger on my wedding day and Alivia made my wedding vision come to life. I could not recommend Stonehurst enough. The venue is gorgeous, the staff is incredible, and the food is amazing. Stonehurst has thought of absolutely everything and even provides things that can save you money like easels, arbors, and decorations. You will not find a better wedding venue out there! This venue is absolutely stunning! We fell in love with it the first time we stepped foot onto the grounds. The barns won us over! The staff was so nice and helpful. Everyone was very professional. I loved how everything turned out on our day. Our coordinator was good except for some small details. Wasn't the best at rehearsal and making sure everyone was in the right spot. She also couldn't remember things we went over or changed. Also didn't communicate the best with our vendors and things got a little out of order. They also lost some of my decorations after taking them down at the end of the night. I would absolutely recommend this venue. It might of just been an off day for some.

I could not have asked for a more perfect wedding at StoneHurst! This venue had everything that I could have ever asked for in a wedding venue. From the moment my husband and I stepped onto the property, we knew this was where we were going to get married. Jenna and her staff are AMAZING! I could not have done this without her. From responding to all of my emails in a timely manner, to listening to our ideas and what we envisioned on our big day, and bringing each and every detail to life, she made our day absolutely perfect! My husband and I got married in the beautiful forest and had our reception in the barn. The forest had a gorgeous canopy of trees and a stunning long aisle, making any bride's walk down the aisle a dream come true. Almost three months later and I am still getting compliments on how beautiful the grounds and venue were from my guests! I was also lucky enough to experience the new bridal suite. It was so spacious for my bridesmaids and I to get ready in. There was room for us to hangout and eat, and also get our hair and makeup done in the salon chairs. My husband and his groomsmen also had a spacious suite to hangout in before the wedding. It was so convenient to have our suites at our venue so we didn't have to worry about running around from place to place on the day of our wedding. The food and the bar were incredible! We chose to do a buffet and were able to pick each food option that we wanted. Everyone is still talking about how great the food was! The flow of the day went so smoothly with Jenna and all of the staff being so attentive to us. This allowed for my husband and I to be stress free and really enjoy our day! I cannot recommend this venue enough. I wish we could relive this day over and over again! Thank you Jenna!

Take my advice and stop looking for a venue now, just book Stonehurst!! My husband and I had looked at a few venues before finding Stonehurst - but the minute we pulled in through the gates we knew this was going to be our venue. There's the obvious beauty of the place - we ended up doing the full buy out so we could enjoy both the Mansion and the Barn, which I would do again in a heartbeat. The bridal suites are incredible, and we loved that there was a spot for the groom/groomsmen that is just as nice as the bridal suites. Alivia was our day of coordinator and she is a true angel - she made the planning process so easy and effortlessly brought our vision into reality. The rest of the staff were amazing day of as well! And the FOOD! Incredible. I'm hoping to convince all my future engaged friends to get married at Stonehurst just so I can attend another wedding here!

Stonehurst was the first and only venue my husband and I needed to visit before we decided it was the one for us. It had everything we wanted and the decision to have our wedding there was a very easy choice. The venue is very organized and has several coordinators so that you can be sure to get one-on-one attention before and on your wedding day. The staff is top notch. I knew that I wouldnât need to hire a wedding coordinator or day-of coordinator because Stonehurst is just so organized. Itâs awesome that both the bride and groom are able to spend the whole day there getting ready. The bridal suite is truly a dream; it is spacious, has lots of mirrors and spots to get ready, and my hair stylist even commented on the salon-style chairs they have that make getting ready so easy. Every part of the venue is gorgeous, so we were never lacking good photo spots. Many of our guests commented on the beauty of the venue. Several of our vendors mentioned that they enjoyed working there because it was so organized and everything runs so smoothly. The food was also delicious, from lunch to appetizers to dinner. You really canât go wrong with any of the food options. This venue is a gem, and itâs no wonder that they continually win awards and are so booked up. I would choose Stonehurst a million times over.

Several of our vendors mentioned that they enjoyed working there because it was so organized and everything runs so smoothly. The food was also delicious, from lunch to appetizers to dinner. You really canât go wrong with any of the food options. This venue is a gem, and itâs no wonder that they continually win awards and are so booked up. I would choose Stonehurst a million times over.

StoneHurst is the perfect wedding venue. My husband and I originally went for a tour to see the Barns but fell in love with the Mansion, which worked out with our planned number of guests. We really loved that the Mansion felt a little unique and having the bridal/grooms suites all day really sealed the deal for us. Alyson was our day of coordinator and I donât think I can communicate how fantastic she was to work with here. She was so easy and enjoyable to work with and was so on top of everything. She really made everything come together perfectly the day of. The rest of the staff the day of was really impressive as well. They made sure my husband and I got hor devours while we took pictures during cocktail hour, had drinks for dinner, etc. And lastly the food was amazing!

StoneHurst was the first, last and only venue we looked at. The moment we arrived onto the beautiful private property we knew this was the place we were going to get married. We can not say enough amazing things about StoneHurst. Our wedding day was the most beautiful! We had a server with us the whole morning as my girls and I got ready. The Mansionâs bridal suite is so charming and romantic. Itâs the most peaceful place to get ready. You feel like royalty. It felt like the Mansion became our home for the day. Jenna did such a beautiful job setting up all of the decor and the tables. She was able to make my vision come to life. One of the best parts was the access to the trolly and the golf carts. It was so fun to be shuttled to our ceremony site. The servers during the reception were so friendly and kind and helpful. I canât say enough words about how wonderful our wedding was at Stonehurst. We had an amazing wedding at Stonehurst! The grounds are beautiful with the flowers and landscaping. We had our ceremony outside and the reception inside the barn. We used the bridal suite inside the mansion to get ready during the day. Everyone on staff was easy to work with and helpful, but Alivia our wedding coordinator was always there to help make our wedding day the best it could be. She was wonderful to work with. Our guests loved the food (especially the mac and cheese station we added onto our cocktail hour). As the couple the staff made sure we had a small plate of appetizers and a drink to enjoy during our cocktail hour, which was great because we would have never gotten to it ourselves. It was worth the 2 year wait from the time we booked the venue to the actual day. We had the UConn Dairy bar truck pull to the back of the barn for dessert and it was a hit! I would highly recommend this venue. Our wedding day was perfect, and Alivia helped it run seamlessly.

I cannot say enough amazing things about Stonehurst! From their amazing grounds to that incredible staff, they are hands down a wonderful venue to book for your perfect day. We booked in 2018 for our 2020 wedding so we all know what happened in 2020. We decided to post pone to 2022 and they worked so well with making those changes. Fast forward to our wedding day. It was unbelievable! Alivia was AMAZING and absolutely made my day perfect. She did so much more than I couldâve imagined and she was truly incredible and I could never thank her enough! All the staff was so attentive from the very beginning to the very end of the night. They knew what they were doing and never missed a beat. Alivia and the staff seriously turned my dreams into reality and I will be forever grateful to them for that. All of our guests were amazed by the venue and I have not stopped heat compliments about how beautiful it was. Same goes for the food! Food is one of the top complaints and my guests have also not stopped talking how absolutely delicious the hors d'oeuvres, the salad and the BBQ buffet was. I mean I canât rave enough about how good it all was! Any couple would be lucky to have their wedding at Stonehurst because they will make your day unforgettable!

Our wedding at the Mansion was more perfect than we could have imagined. Alivia, the Mansion's coordinator, was an absolute rock star. She was incredibly helpful in the months of planning, and had absolutely every detail handled on the day of. I knew I could trust her with everything, which made for a very relaxing experience on the morning of the wedding.The venue itself is 10/10. We loved having access to the bridal and groom suites all day as a space to get ready. Our ceremony by the Little River was out of a fairy tale. During the reception, some guests were on the dance floor, others were mingling outside on the patio, or roasting s'mores by the fire pit. Each member of the staff was incredibly friendly and would bend over backwards to help anyone. The food was incredible -- some guests mentioned it was the best wedding food they have ever had. We have heard nothing but raving reviews about the venue from all our guests!!!If I could plan a wedding over again, I would pick the Mansion at StoneHurst in a heartbeat. Thank you to everyone there who helped to make our wedding the best day ever!

Where to even begin!! We first toured and booked The Barns at StoneHurst in July 2019. From the beginning, Jenna was incredible to work it. Our wedding was originally schedled for January 2021, but COVID had other plans for us. While we were deciding what to do, Jenna was so understaning and was with us every step of the way. She even allowed us to pencil in our backup date while we were still deciding what to do. Then, once we offically postponed, Jenna made it as painless as possible. As we approached our new date in January 2022, our day of coordinator, Alivia, reached out to us in October to introduce herself and start to get to know us. We mostly communicated via email until our final in-person meeting right after Christmas. She was very responsive and was able to answer all of our questions.Everything was absolutely perfect. We did not have to worry about a single thing the day of our wedding. The timeline worked out beautifully and everything was where it should be in terms of decorations and details, and Alivia communicated with me throughout the morning while setting up to make sure everything was how I had imagined it. We were able to get ready in the mansion suites, which are absolutely stunning, and had such a relaxing morning getting ready. The staff were amazing, very accommodating and friendly. The food was incredible at all points, even the lunch beforehand that we had brought in for the wedding party. The place is gorgeous and everything went exactly how we had imagined and planned. There was only one slight miscommunication in terms of clean-up/pick-up, but in the grand scheme of things, it hardly mattered. I would recommend this venue to anyone!!!

My daughter was married at Stonehurst a couple weeks ago. From the beginning, we had follow up issues with the venue. Alivia was our contact, and she proved to be pretty useless. They delivered the final invoice less than the four weeks before the ceremony required for final payment, and didn't explain clearly that they required payment in a certified check. I mailed personal checks to them which arrived the day before the wedding. Alivia at 9 p.m. the night before the wedding called the bride, and told her we needed a certified check and that the personal checks would not be adequate. They finally agreed to a credit card payment, but only if they could cover their credit card fee. A lot of useless agita the night before the wedding. The day of the wedding, Alivia continued to be pretty useless and unavailable. Our photographer handled most of the \"day of\" scheduling since Alivia (who left her pager in the bridal suite) was texting her boyfriend about what awful clients we were. The rest of the staff did an amazing job and should be commended for pulling this one out of the fire.

Our main priorities were that it could hold our 250-300 person guest list, had a large dance floor, outdoor ceremony space with an indoor option is case of rain, and a bridal suite that could fit our large bridal party. The venue checked all of those boxes and the lovely and attentive team behind it all sealed the deal. Jenna and company were amazing. Not only did they answer all of our questions in a timely fashion but helped keep me calm and stayed flexible during the uncertainty of COVID and if we were going to be able to have the large wedding we dreamed of during that time. They also provided a stellar list of recommended vendors. I used a majority of them and was also highly please with all of them. Last but not least, and most important to many - the food was outstanding. Again, due to the large number of guests we had and wanting to maximize our time spent on the dance floor we went with the buffet option. We enjoyed our food and heard nothing but great reviews from our wedding guests. If youâre considering StoneHurst, or stuck between StoneHurst and another venue, make them your top choice. You wonât regret it.

Everything from start to finish was AMAZING! We were having trouble searching for a venue that had everything we were looking for when my mother in law stumbled upon StoneHurst in 2019. It was the first venue we went to visit and we immediately fell in love. Stonehurst even released a handbook for couples with frequently asked questions, which really helped to guide us through all unknowns of wedding planning.On our wedding day, Alivia was instrumental in keeping every aspect of the day flowing- we truly could not have done it without her. She was on top of every minor detail- from timelines, to decorations, and even finding the favors that we forgot to unload from our car. My husband and I were suppose to get married September 26, 2020... and then the pandemic hit, and like so many couples, we decided to postpone. We had several other friends in the same boat, but none of them had as easy a time as we did. I heard nightmare stories of venues asking for more money or only offering back up dates later in 2020. Not StoneHurst. We were allowed to pick a back up date in April 2020, several months before we officially postponed. They date came with no extra fees or requirements.. It was just there in case we needed it, and of course we did.Fast forward to July 25, 2021 when we were finally married. The day was everything I could of hoped for and more. Jenna and the entire StoneHurst staff were incredible. They took care of EVERYTHING. My husband and I did not have to lift a finger, Jenna took care of it all. She was there every step of the way and very responsive. She understood our wants/needs for the big day and delivered. That allowed us to truly focus on what mattered most, getting married.Lastly, I promise you, you will be blown away by this venue and the grounds. There is so much beauty on this property. You can clearly tell how much love and effort the StoneHurst team puts in to making sure the venue/grounds are perfect. Your guests will be in awe and your pictures will come out better than you could ever image. I 100% recommend this venue, it was well worth the wait!

I had such high hopes for this venue since it is so gorgeous. We rented out the whole venue, both the barn and the mansion, I was so excited. My fiancĂ© had a bad feeling about the staff from the beginning and didnât want to have our wedding there. I like to see the good in everything so I didnât notice. Leading up to the wedding communication was all through email and the payment portal, we asked from the beginning that all emails be sent to both my fiancĂ© and I, but every time they would send it to only me. They misplaced a $14,000 check and it took them days to cash them once they finally received them. Day of the wedding was so disorganized, we had no idea what was going on the whole time, our day of coordinator was so hard to find, my poor pregnant maid of honor had to run back and forth from the barn to the mansion three times to try to get information and times from the coordinator. It was going to rain at 12:30 so they tried to pressure us into having an indoor ceremony even though our actual ceremony wasnât going to take place until 4:30. I agreed to let them set up the mansion as a ceremony site just in case under the impression that even if it was set up for a ceremony my guests will still be able to use the area during cocktail hour to sit down. All of my guests arrived at 4:30, we were all ready to go at 4:30 but the coordinator said that we had to wait because there were a few guests still coming in (no there wasnât we had guests waiting outside for 30 minutes) So finally 4:50pm rolled around and we got the okay to get started. There werenât enough golf carts so they had to make multiple trips to drive my bridal party down which added on more time. So ceremony came and went it was beautiful, the decor was placed perfectly. Cocktail hour was a mess. They did not open the doors to the seating area in the mansion so all of my guests were forced to stand. There was not enough staff there that day to accommodate my guests and to be attentive to my bridal party. We had to ask for food and drinks to be brought down. Once our pictures were over we had to hunt down our coordinator again to see what was supposed to happen next but she was no where to be seen. Come the reception, everything was decorated perfectly, that is one thing that I will give the venue, it was picture perfect with my decorations I can not wait to see the photos. My photographer and Dj were the ones coordinating my reception because again our coordinator was no where to be found. We had no idea what to do so they worked together to come up with a plan. We barley got to eat any food. We didnât cut our cake until 9pm we paid for a 5 hour bar (which is really 4. 5 hours in the fine print- false advertising) we figured that since the reception didnât start until 6:30 instead of 6 we would get to stay for 30 more minutes. Not the case. So we only got 4 hours of open bar, and the bar staff were rude to our guests. It was really disappointing. Yes in the end the night was beautiful because I got to marry my best friend in front of all our friends and family, but we have never had to work so hard to spend money. Iâm not sure if they just didnât like us so their service reflected that or if this is just common for them but beware. If you do go with this venue please please please get your own coordinator. It will make your day so much better I promise.

I had such high hopes for this venue since it is so gorgeous. We rented out the whole venue, both the barn and the mansion, I was so excited. My fiancĂ© had a bad feeling about the staff from the beginning and didnât want to have our wedding there. I like to see the good in everything so I didnât notice. Leading up to the wedding communication was all through email and the payment portal, we asked from the beginning that all emails be sent to both my fiancĂ© and I, but every time they would send it to only me. They misplaced a $14,000 check and it took them days to cash them once they finally received them. Day of the wedding was so disorganized, we had no idea what was going on the whole time, our day of coordinator was so hard to find, my poor pregnant maid of honor had to run back and forth from the barn to the mansion three times to try to get information and times from the coordinator. It was going to rain at 12:30 so they tried to pressure us into having an indoor ceremony even though our actual ceremony wasnât going to take place until 4:30. My husband and I got married at the Mansion a month ago and from start to finish it was flawless. The property first of all sells itself hands down. But even from our first tour we just felt so comfortable with Alivia and Jenna. Our biggest thing in our wedding venue search was having trust and faith in the venue staff and we immediately knew we were in good hands. From the little things like never making my emails feel silly or annoying to Jenna literally rearranging the seating plan mid cocktail hour per my familyâs request (all without stressing me out) it is very obvious that taking care of me and my guests was Jennaâs number one priority. We had an amazing day in the insane bridal suite and the groomsmen got to chill in their massive grooms suite and play corn hole outside prior to the wedding festivities. The overall feel of the whole day was laid back and calm but still so so special and fun! We got to bring our dog to hangout and take pictures as well which was a huge thing for us! The food was amazing as we expected, we had the bbq buffet and it help up to the reviews. I didnât see one staff member not smiling and friendly they were all so sweet. Our pictures are stunning and while we had an amazing photographer the photo opportunities are just endless here. I could go on and on but I highly recommend Stonehurst for every reason there is when it comes to having a wedding!

From the first email to SH, I knew this was going to be our venue! We pulled up to those double iron gate doors and knew this place was special and unlike any other venue we previously visited. Jenna was a dream to work with! Answered every email, every question we had. Especially for it being a brand new venue (the barn), she had such a vision for us even though we were a few of the first larger weddings there. Getting married during a pandemic is not an easy task and throughout it all Stonehurst was so accommodating. We had some crazy things asked of Jenna and without hesitation she accommodated us. After picking our wedding date, May 9th, 2020 and trying to plan a wedding in 9 months, we found out COVID had other plans for us! After four wedding date changes, including May 9th, July 24th and Dec 19th we finally ended up tying the knot at Stonehurst Oct 24th 2020. We had the perfect fall day, which will always be remembered as one of the most flawless and memorable days of our lives. I CANNOT say enough about Jenna and her team at Stonehurst. Jenna was calm and collected helping us navigate our four wedding dates, even when I got so stressed and wanted to cancel the wedding all together due to COVID. She convinced me I still needed to have a wedding COVID or not! Jenna and her team provided some of the best service I have ever seen. The decor, food service, ceremony planning, bridal suites, ceremony sites, and over all property are all exquisite and picturesque. This venue will provide you with the whole package and you should look no further than Stonehurst if you come upon it during your search for the perfect wedding venue. My now husband and I would get married at Stonehurst a thousand more times if we could and cannot thank Jenna and Stonehurst enough for making our day amazing! If you are trying to decide on where to get married, look no further! Stonehurst is the most amazing venue there is!We actually booked the mansion while it was still under construction trusting that Stonehurst would making it beautiful. The final product was beyond all of our expectations! The building, the suites, the bar, the landscaping, and the ceremony site should all be in placed in bridal magazines/websites because they are so beautiful! Everything was AMAZING!!!! We could not have asked for a better day/night! The staff was absolutely amazing and quickly/promptly addressed any issues that came up before it even got to me. It had rained the morning of our wedding and the staff immediately put mitigations in place to ensure I would not have to drag my dress through muddy, wet grass. Most importantly, they always made sure we had a drink in hand and food on our plates :)The bartenders made all the drinks perfectly and I wish I could have taken all the food home with me it was so delicious!!!I will admit, I was a little nervous that there was another wedding happening in the Barn the same night, but I truly did not even notice it at all! The staff did so well at making sure everything with the two weddings was coordinated so perfectly that I personally never even saw the other wedding at all!!! Had I not been told there was another wedding happening, I do not think I would have ever known based on how well everything was kept separate! Lastly, I just want to add how great the coordinators were!!! She was there every step of the day making all the behind the scenes happen so I did not have to worry about it at all! I almost teared up when I saw how beautiful the ceremony site and the reception room turned out!! She was so kind and handled all of our questions/issues with such ease and promptness!!I highly HIGHLY recommend getting married at StoneHurst!

We were married at StoneHurst 2.5 months ago. We worked with Jenna from beginning to end. She easily calmed wedding planning nerves and made our day run so smoothly. She seems to have some sort of 6th sense as to how I wanted our day to look, in my head. She and her staff truly nailed it. The venue was beautiful. The food was AMAZING (people are still telling me so). Our day was fantastic, every penny we spent on food and venue was well worth it. We were married at StoneHurst 2.5 months ago. We worked with Jenna from beginning to end. She easily calmed wedding planning nerves and made our day run so smoothly. She seems to have some sort of 6th sense as to how I wanted our day to look, in my head. She and her staff truly nailed it. The venue was beautiful. The food was AMAZING (people are still telling me so). Our day was fantastic, every penny we spent on food and venue was well worth it. I'd highly recommend having your wedding, or any other special event, at StoneHurst.

Jenna Hayward (Manager) Hi there- my name is Jenna Hayward and I am the Venue Manager here at StoneHurst at Hampton Valley. What I thought could only ever be a dream came to reality when my boss (our owner) allowed me to take the reins and design a wedding venue with the wants and needs I thought people are looking for.Originally from Long Island and now living close by in Canterbury I was able to use my experiences in both places to bring together the most unique barn and mansion I think CT has to offer.
