Weddings are supposed to be fun and memorable, and that's our specialty! Our classic, casual feel with a practical, down to earth approach allows you to be as creative as you wish. Janice and I had our wedding on 9/23/2023. Overall our experience with Chelsie and Lucretia was very good. They were friendly, responsive, and helpful throughout the entire process. The venue was beautiful and we really were happy with all of the recommended contractors.I think the only negative is that some guests did mention their chairs were a little dirty. I believe this is due to an event they had shortly before our wedding and just happened to miss a couple of spots.With everything thing else going so smoothly and the venue overall being well prepped, I rate them a solid 5 stars.

Greg and I had our wedding on 4/2/2022 and could not have asked for a better location and staff. Lucretia and Team went above and beyond to make sure everything went as planned. They are willing to step in and give suggestions to make everything run smoothly. These are the kindest people you will meet who are truly committed to making sure your wedding day goes off without a hitch. We hired Stacy to help with the vendor planning and after wedding clean up. They did an amazing job and took care of all the cleanup and packing. The venue so beautiful and you can really make the space into whatever you are looking for on your special day.

Greg and I had our wedding on 4/2/2022 and could not have asked for a better location and staff. Lucretia and Team went above and beyond to make sure everything went as planned. These are the kindest people you will meet who are truly committed to making sure your wedding day goes off without a hitch. We were impressed with Stony Point hall on our first visit. We loved the grounds and that we could have our ceremony outside. The inside is also beautiful especially on the big day. You really can't beat the price of the venue either! Lucretia was so helpful from day one, she gave us so many tips and tricks and recommended different vendors to us- many of our vendors had been to Stony Point before so it was easy for them to set up. She recommended our caterer- Brancatos, and they were fantastic. Lucretia gave us her phone number, so there was always open communication and she was very quick on answering our questions. We loved that they have items to rent like yard games, drink holders, and signs, as well as free items like wood center pieces. The day of and the rehearsal- Lucretia and her staff were very professional with us and all of our other venders. We got to come back the day after to get our things and clean up because there wasn't another event which was perfect. We loved having our wedding at Stony Point and really recommend it if you are looking for a rustic, customizable wedding!!

This venue is very rustic…a little too much for my taste. I was not too happy with the cleanliness or lack there of. Yes your in the country but I wasn’t expecting to see rats and hornets nests. The staff were nowhere to be found day of. Expect a very hands off style of place.

I couldn't imagine having had my wedding anywhere else. The venue owner is laid back, easy to contact, cares about giving their customers the best experience and made sure we had to best day possible. More than enough space for my 150 guests. Very affordable. Beautiful outside and inside to hold both the ceremony and reception. Enough room for the DJ, photobooth, banquet tables and guests. The bridal suite was the perfect place to gather and prepare for the ceremony and grand entrance for reception. Would highly recommend to any newly engaged couple to snag a date to reserve!

The venue and owners were GREAT! They work with you to help you set up the venue from the table layout to providing decorations and linens. They are very quick to respond to emails. If the venue is available the day before they give you a 5 hour block to come in set up and decorate. They are on site that day as well for any and all help. They are around all day the day of the wedding to help with anything you need! They provide you with a bunch of different picture opportunities. Very close to Lawrence, KS that has bunch of hotel options to choose from.HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

Stony Point is a gorgeous venue! With the reception hall already being beautifully decorated, not having to do a ton of decorating was great especially if you're a bride on a budget. Lucretia, Stony Points owner, was also probably one of the most helpful people in my whole wedding experiences. She was always prompt on emailing or calling me back and was honest about what she believed would work best with her venue.

Stony Point Hall is the perfect place for your wedding. I was absolutely set on a venue that would cater to my DIY attitude and smaller budget, and Stony Point Hall is that and more. Lucretia was incredibly helpful from beginning to end, recommending ideas (everything from decoration to great photography spots on the property), our officiant and ways to save money here and there. Possibly the best thing for us was the store room on site that carries various decorations – perfect for those little last minute things that you will ultimately forget about. I had glass clusters for centerpieces, and I was able to run up to the stock groom and grab small additions to really help fill them out.\rWe loved having access to the historic barn on site for bride and groom photos, and the field next to the site gave us some beautiful sunset shots. The property offered so many different photo ops, we didn’t have to leave to take any of our wedding party photos – all were on site and they still came out looking varied and unique.\rStony Point will set up your tables and chairs, and that is a huge help. We invited about 175 people (around 100 showed up), and we were able to strike tables and chairs to allow more room up until the morning of. \rWe were very budget conscious for our wedding, and Stony Point was the best value we could find. We had access to the site the night before, which allowed for rehearsal at the venue plus dinner plus decorating, and we had the site 8am – 1am day of – which was something I could not find in Kansas City for the price Stony Point offered.\rI am so happy with my experience with Stony Point Hall. It was affordable, stress free, and let us be out in the country without being too far from civilization (The wedding party stayed in Baldwin City – a five minute drive from the venue). Lucretia was amazing – so helpful and always available for questions and concerns. You will not be disappointed with this venue!

My mom had told my (now) Husband and I about this place in Baldwin City. She lives in Texas so really was not sure where this little town was. We went out and before we were in their driveway our minds were set. This is a beautiful venue. The staff was so friendly and so incredible helpful. They would do whatever they could to make your day the best it could be while being honest about your thoughts! We did the ceremony and it was perfect. Our reception was honestly perfect. Anyone who gets a chance should go check out Stony Point Hall.

My mom had told my (now) Husband and I about this place in Baldwin City. She lives in Texas so really was not sure where this little town was. We went out and before we were in their driveway our minds were set. This is a beautiful venue. The staff was so friendly and so incredible helpful. They would do whatever they could to make your day the best it could be while being honest about your thoughts! We did the ceremony and it was perfect. Our reception was honestly perfect. Anyone who gets a chance should go check out Stony Point Hall.

There really isn't enough to say about this venue. Lucretia and her husband are amazing to work with, the venue is STUNNING and offers fantastic photos. Our caterer loved working in the kitchen... This venue has as much, or as little, as you need! Everything on our big day was positively perfect. Our goal was an elegant, but laid back feel... We succeeded in that and then some. Our photographers had a hay-day with the various buildings and props around the grounds.. Not to mention they allow pets! Our beloved dog was able to attend and be our ring-bearer. We were even invited to bring our horses, but opted not to. \rWe received numerous compliments about it being \"the most gorgeous wedding I've been to\" ... The guests were in love with the whole place! \rHave your wedding at Stony Point Hall... You will absolutely NOT be disappointed. \rP.S. - Follow them on Facebook as Lucretia takes photos of decorations from the events hosted there... You can get some awesome ideas on what works for the venue both inside and out!

Where to begin... Stony Point Hall was AMAZING for our big day. We got married on August 2, 2014 in the front of the hall (outside) and had our reception inside. We had almost 200 guests. Lucretia Carlson, the owner, was absolutely amazing to work with.\r\rAs she had told me when I met with her to book the venue, it is the perfect venue for a DIY bride, and that it was. We got so many compliments on the location and overall appearance. It is set out in the country, so it was peaceful. All of the other places we were considering were in the Kansas City or Lawrence areas and just could not compare.\r\rLucretia has the place already set up with tulle, twinkle lights, and couple of chandeliers hanging from the ceiling. The outside is nicely kept and maintained with beautiful green grass and plants/potted plants in the front porch area. There is also an air conditioned bride's room in the back of the hall to hang out in if you need to freshen up; it can hold around 10 people I would say.. at least.\r\rWith Stony Point Hall being out in the country, we had blocked off rooms at two hotels nearby: Baldwin City Lodge in Baldwin City, KS and Holiday Inn Express and Suites in Lawrence, KS. It was perfect since we had a shuttle service that was able to drop off those who could not drive at their hotels that were only 4 and 8 miles away.\r\rWe had an amazing experience at Stony Point Hall and can only recommend that you look into it early since it really does book up quickly!!

To make full use of this space minimal decorations are needed. They have it set up perfectly. The country setting is exactly what we were looking for!! Very breathtaking!

My husband & I simply loved our reception at Stony Point Hall. We had previously been to a wedding at this location and thought it was a nice setting. It is very affordable and we received a ton of great feedback from our guests about the venue. We loved that we were not tied to any additional fees or recommended vendors. There are rental items available to make things simple. You can also get married on site, however, we chose a different location for that.

I fell in love with this place the second I saw it.It took me 3 date changes so I could book this venue. The owners were extremely helpful with everything, even down to helping with our last minute shower before the ceremony started!!

We had a fantastic wedding and reception out at Stony Point! The setting was beautiful and everything was taken care of for our big day. We had an outdoor ceremony, the weather was perfect, and little had to be done to make the place look beautiful! The owners were very helpful leading up to the event and on the day of the wedding.

This site is amazing- my only complaint was that there was no place for the Bride to really get ready. I had to show up and start the wedding. The owners told me they were going to build a special place for this sometime in 2010.

Great for an outdoor wedding. We had an outdoor ceremony and an indoor reception and this site worked perfectly for it.;The distance from town caused a lot of our out of town and even Lawrence guests to be reluctant to stay late because they didn't want to be driving the country roads late in the dark.
