We cannot say enough good things about Stratton, Emily, and her team. The team made every vision, request, and idea I had come to light on our day. We requested to have a separate ceremony in remembrance of a relative at the Stratton Mountain School. Emily made it happen with little stress for us which was made our day feel all the more special. We are so grateful to the catering team for their careful consideration of multiple allergies when preparing the entrees Stratton Mountain Resort is an important part of our love story. We’re so grateful to Stratton for a magical memory that we will never forget. Reviewed on 31-12-2023

Throughout the entire process, Emily Ladroga was professional, helpful, cheerful and she made every step seem so easy. Planning a wedding at Stratton with her was incredibly straightforward and painless. She had an answer for every question, and often anticipated our needs before we could verbalize them ourselves. Prior to our wedding weekend, she familiarized herself with our vendors and designated point people (her idea!) so that during the wedding, no onus was on us as a couple to worry about anything. If you're considering her as a wedding coordinator, do not hesitate. She was everything we could have hoped for and more. Reviewed on 27-09-2023

From the incredible views and unique gondola ride to the top, our mountaintop ceremony location was breathtaking. The reception at the Stratton Mountain Club was plentiful on space with a cozy vibe. Fireplaces roaring and a wrap-around outdoor deck were second only to the incredible beauty of the rooms. The food was AMAZING and plentiful. The bar was great and our signature cocktails were a hit. Our coordinator Erin was the most lovely person and made every second of our wedding absolutely flawless in its execution. We cannot say enough good things about our wedding. Whenever anyone has asked us how it was, our answer has been perfect. Highly recommend getting married at Stratton if you want a unique experience, with an epic view and location, delicious food, and the benefit of the village and its accommodations for the guests. Our planner Erin handled every detail and took all the stress off of us so we could totally enjoy the whole weekend. Erin was a pleasure to work with and always responded promptly to all of our questions and requests no matter how trivial they were. She and the Stratton wedding staff are pros and our guests raved about what a wonderful time they had. The ceremony was on the yoga deck at the summit. The spectacular views and scenery made it magical. We had our champagne toast right after the ceremony on the yoga deck so guests could linger, enjoy the surroundings and take photos. The reception was held at the Stratton Mountain Club. It is a beautiful venue with soaring ceilings and a rustic feel. There is a new patio with new furniture including fire pits. There is also new furniture in the great room where the cocktail hour was held. The food was delicious and as well as the cakes by the pastry chef Ali. There was plenty of space to spread out and also has a large dance floor. Everything exceeded our expectations and we highly recommend this venue! Cait & Gage Reviewed on 19-08-2022

When we were first starting to plan I was overwhelmed with the number of detailed decisions, but I’m so glad that Erin had the knowledge and experience to think about them in advance so that when the day came I could just enjoy myself! She coordinated vendors day-of, handled setup and takedown, and made sure everyone was where they were supposed to be on time. Honestly the day went even better than planned. After many months of stress and waiting, we ended up with Val who stepped right in and took care of everything quickly. We were very grateful for everything she did for us! We planned on having our ceremony on the summit. Although the weather did not go as planned for the day, Val and the team were on top of coming up with a back up plan quickly. The team was great and helpful on our weekend. They took care of almost everything, so all we had to do was show up. The food and drinks were great. Mark Loomis(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 25-07-2021 We decided to get married at Stratton because we've had so many good times snowboarding there over the years. When we first considered it as an option, we were expecting it to be out of our budget but were blown away at how reasonable costs were. What was even more incredible was the level of support Stratton provided. Many other vendors don't provide the services they offered, at least not without incurring significant costs. They hooked us up with our wedding coordinator, Val Ryan. Her level of support, professionalism, attention to detail, kindness, advice/guidance, patience, flexibility and more were all unlike anything we had ever experience before. She immediately connected with us on a personal level and kept us pumped up throughout the entire planning process leading up to the day of the wedding. Planning a wedding especially during these times is stressful enough, but Val Ryan and Stratton made it exciting and an unforgettable experience. They catered to all our needs from the rehearsal dinner to the reception and it could not have been better. Every staff member we met along the way was fantastic. It's clear that Stratton takes good care of their people which is reflected by their passion and the high quality work. We couldn't have asked for more. Timber Hall was beautiful for the reception and our summit ceremony was absolutely unreal. If you're on the fence, definitely book with them and they will take good care of you. Katie Pritchard(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 01-08-2020 In 2019, we booked our dream wedding at Stratton for 2020. Val Ryan and the team at Stratton were INCREDIBLY helpful, reasonable, and patient during the spring of 2020 when we were unsure of how the summer would go. They let us pass our first payment due date in order to see how things played out. When we decided to postpone to 2021, the process was effortless. Ultimately, when we decided to change plans all together and have a small reception in our state, we received a response better than we could have hoped for. Everyone was understanding and shared their best wishes for us. Even though we didn't get to have our event at Stratton, every step of the planning process showed me how much of a stand-out organization Stratton is, with reasonable, family oriented people running the show. Stratton set the bar for how to react during a crisis, and while I hope that whoever is reading this in the future does not face the challenges I did, please know that Stratton is a wonderful place to plan your wedding at, and I highly recommend it. Jaclyn Goulet(bride)4 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 03-10-2020 We booked Stratton back in May 2019 for a small 20 person ceremony at the summit in Oct. 2020. We first had Matt Raggi as our wedding coordinator and he was fantastic. Very organized, responsive, and helpful but shortly after we met him onsite for planning in Oct. 2019 he left Stratton. We were moved to Devon Crowthers who was another A+ coordinator. She was easy to work with, she was always available to answer questions or field our requests, and she did a great job coordinating all the decorations, vendors, and guests on the day of. We really appreciated everything she did for us especially during these difficult times. That being said, we did feel short changed by Stratton because a month out from our date we were told that they booked another small summit ceremony and that the timeline of the other wedding was only 30 minutes ahead of ours. We expressed concerns about this seeing as we had been booked for over 18 months and felt we were not being valued or given what we were sold. They did listen to our concerns/work with us somewhat and we were assured that we would not run into the other wedding but that was not the case. Not only was it confusing to have shuttles for two weddings running at the base (that were not well marked for which wedding they belonged to) but we also immediately saw the other couple and guests once we arrived at the summit. For some reason they also placed the other wedding couple in the hotel room directly across from us which was difficult to work around their photographer/videographer and guests coming in and out. Despite our small group, we also had an issue with the welcome bags not being passed out at check in and incorrect room keys being given to our guests. Overall, our summit venue was beautiful and we loved Devon but there were aspects of the day that we felt Stratton could have handled better considering the small size of our wedding. Stephen DiStasi(groom)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 15-08-2020 The venue is beautiful. We had planned a 150-person ceremony at The Chapel of the Snows, reception at Timber Hall, welcome party the day before at Black Bear, and after-party in the village. All of our guests were going to be able to stay right at the mountain resort for what seemed like very reasonable rates. Through the whole process, Courtney (event coordinator) and Val (day-of coordinator) were incredibly responsible and easy to work with. Like so many weddings this summer (2020) our wedding could not proceed as planned due to COVID-19. Stratton was incredibly patient with us while we waited to see how the pandemic unfolded and made it clear that money should not be one of our concerns while waiting. They ended up refunding all down payments for the wedding and hotels to us and our guests and told us that they are interested in \"good long term relationships\" with their guests and not short term profits. This allowed us to have a small backyard wedding during this difficult time and we really appreciated their support and understanding. Reviewed on 21-08-2020

Cicely Gibson(bride)4 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 03-08-2019 We chose Stratton because of the (at the time) recent addition of the Lake House as a \"venue\" and we absolutely loved the duality of being on the mountain without having to have the reception in the lodge. The experience of having our reception outside under a tent next to the lake with a view of the golf course and the mountain was absolutely incredible. Our guests were blown away by the natural beauty of the site and we ended up having perfect weather (which was quite a godsend for VT in August). We loved our site coordinator Devon and were so happy with how she organized and handled everything. We were less pleased with her supervisor, and did not experience the same level of professionalism or compassion from him as we did from Devon. We were only the 2nd wedding to be held at this site, which we knew would mean there would be some growing pains. There were inconsistencies and misunderstandings about what rentals were and were not included in our contract and then subsequent rigidity and rudeness when we asked to use a different rental company. When we decided to customize our bar (meaning more money for them) and buy all wine bottles (meaning they would not have to try to sell any of it afterwards), there was significant up-charging - a normally $11 bottle of wine was being charged to us for almost $50 a bottle. We did not feel valued as customers or supporters of the company (we spend a lot of time at Stratton throughout the year). A somewhat more reasonable price for the bar was ultimately decided upon, but only because my parents would not accept such outrageous prices and because my mom's background in catering helped her counter any misinformation that was being given about the reasoning for the pricing. These interactions made the planning process quite unenjoyable and more difficult than necessary.Luckily, the day went very smoothly thanks to Devon's hard work. She even managed to work well with an outside day-of planner (that we very much regret hiring) and tried her best, usually with success, to remedy any issues that planner created. We are immensely grateful to Devon for her hard work and highly recommend her for your event at Stratton. We have heard that Stratton has changed their contract policies for the Lake House, so we hope these changes positively impact future weddings so that they don't have the same issues with planning as we did. Overall, we would still recommend Stratton, especially the Lake House, as a venue because of it's beauty and location. We also were very happy with how smoothly the wedding day went. We had Matt Raggi as our event coordinator. Not only did Matt answer every question we had during planning, he gave ideas when we didn't know what do. Matt made planning seamless. As every bride feels stress leading up to their wedding day. I was no different. The week before my wedding I had multiple guests say they could no longer make it. Matt kept me calm. The day before my wedding, I forgot a printed seating chart. Within 30 minutes Matt had pulled together a sign for guests seating that fit the rest of our wedding decor perfectly. When I say that Matt is not only an amazing event coordinator and person it is an under statement. Matt made our wedding day a dream. I have heard nothing but praise from our guests since. Along with Matt, Chef Ralph is an amazing chef who truly goes above and beyond to make food at a wedding be the furthest thing from\" wedding food\". Mary is also a dream to work with who takes whatever decor you have chosen and puts it all together making it look effortless. Lastly, almost every couple will tell you that they do not get to eat on their wedding day. Not my husband and I ! The ceremony took place on top of the mountain (accessible by a 10-12 minute gondola ride) and the reception was at the Stratton Mountain Club. We had also booked the Chapel of the Snows as a back-up rain location (in lieu of the default rain location in the cocktail hour space of the Stratton Mountain Club), but the weather turned out to be perfect. The night before we had our rehearsal dinner at the Mill House where we had a delicious Italian buffet dinner catered by Stratton. The space was perfect for 15 people. We also hosted a meet-and-greet on the second floor of Mulligan's in the village (which we reserved just for our use), which our guests really enjoyed. Our coordinator Matt R was amazing - he was attentive to detail, prompt in all of our correspondence, and a real pleasure to work with. All of the staff at Stratton were great - they truly go above and beyond. Another big perk of Stratton is that guests can stay at a variety of accommodations on site, from standard hotel rooms in the Black Bear Lodge to condo units in Long Trail House and Hearthstone, all walking distance to the village. Amanda Shimko(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 26-05-2019 We had our ceremony and reception at the Stratton Mountain Ski Club and it was so amazing! We got married in May and friends and family are still talking about it months later. We worked with the coordinator Lisa from the beginning of planning up until the day of and she was SO amazing. She was so organized and did such a great job working with us and helping us through the process of planning the wedding. There are so many options for getting married at Stratton including the ceremony and reception as well as other events for the weekend if needed (rehearsal dinner, day after breakfast, etc.). We were also able to include things such as a shuttle for guests and a room block with Stratton lodging. For the club specifically, there were many food and liquor options and the chef Ralph was very awesome and was able to accommodate us as needed. And our guests loved the food so much!! The staff there were all so amazing and kind and we only heard great things from our guests. The venue is so beautiful on its own and they did an amazing job setting up what I envisioned for our big day! Would definitely recommend getting married at Stratton, it was so perfect and beautiful!! Reviewed on 05-09-2019

If you're looking for place to get married in Vermont, look no further. We had our rehearsal dinner and welcome party at Bar 802 in the Village. We did casual pizza, salad and cash bar and the staff was amazing and it was reasonably priced! We got married at the summit on the yoga deck - it was absolutely stunning and such a unique venue. We had our reception at the Stratton Mountain Club and it was nothing short of spectacular. The food was amazing (even at the lowest tier price - which we got), the open bar was reasonably priced and the venue was like none other. Large dining room, but it was great because guests could mingle on the outside deck, in the lounge and at the bar - so you weren't stuck in one room. We had an after party at Green Door Pub (our reception only went until 10pm) and it was super fun to keep the dancing going. One of the best parts about the whole process was working with the planner, Devon. She was SO AMAZING through the whole process. She bared with us through all the emails, calls, texts leading up to the day and on the actual day, I didn't worry one bit because Devon and her team have it all covered. As a bride you really couldn't wish for anything better! I wish we could go back and do it all again! Thank you Devon and Stratton team. Lindsey McKinney(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 06-07-2019 We decided to go with Stratton Mountain Resort following a big screw up at our venue of choice. Had we gone with Stratton from the beginning we would of never dealt with the mishaps. Stratton was one of the first ski mountains my husband brought me too when we started dating and I fell in love with the ambiance, scenery, food and it’s overall setting. Matthew Raggi was our wedding coordinator and if I could recommend anyone to take on your big day it’s Matt! Everything just worked out to the best it could, thy were very accommodating and helped with minor details and placement. Our wedding was July 6 dead of summer and the heat but we managed to keep everything indoors due to the risk of weather. Afternoon of the wedding it was announced thunderstorms and all that so our first look was supposed to be at the very top of the mountain but rain caused that to not happen so we had back ups in place. Stratton is a beautiful place for a wedding, we used the Great Room and Timber Hall and it’s a night I won’t forget. Thank you to everyone from Stratton who made our big day happen, special thank you to Matt and the event staff Frank who did a great job bar tending and all the cooks that made the delicious food. Cannot thank you all enough, if considering Stratton I would defiantly recommend them and ask for Matt! Reviewed on 31-07-2019
Stephanie Randall(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 28-06-2019 Our wedding at Stratton far surpassed our expectations. We had Courtney during the sales phase and expected most of what she said to be a sales pitch it all sounded so perfect. However, the service and experience we received through our wedding weekend was better than the sales pitch. Devon coordinated our day of activities as well as provided suggestions for the day before. We heard from our vendors that while they had worked at Stratton many times before, it was the first time they had been contacted before hand and given easy instructions on how to get into the building for hair and makeup. They raved about how much better it made their experience. Devon also made sure that my husband and I didn't have to worry about any of the details. We dropped off the decorations we brought on Thursday at the club to her and Mary, told them what everything was and they ran with it from there. We seriously did not have to lift a finger or worry about anything. We were able to just enjoy our time there and appreciate the moment rather than worry about the coordination. I have heard from many of my friends who got married at different venues that they felt rushed and their venue staff was not helping to correct anything that went wrong. I feel blessed to say that the staff at Stratton made me feel like not a single thing went wrong. From the bus driver to kitchen staff to venue manager, I felt like everyone knew exactly what needed to happen and never dropped the ball. What else... The food was generous portions that our guests raved about. My family and I have a lot of food allergies and the staff made sure our menu accommodated to the mannyyy needs without a complaint. The club provided a lot of the decorations so we didn't have to bring it all with us or buy too much extra. At the end of the night they cleaned up all my decorations and put them in a special room for us to pick up the next day and locked up our cards in the safe so we didn't have to worry about anything being stolen. We had our after party at Bar 802 in the village. This is the only place where we can say something wasn't great. We had ordered a few pizzas and they didn't hold them for when my husband and I arrived so we didn't get any. Also we thought we were putting money down for the pizza but it turns out they charged us a $100 event fee that they never told us about. So we were a little thrown off when at the end of the night we owed the amount for the entire order. I would recommend finding a different bar in the village that won't charge you to give them business. Our rehearsal dinner was at Fire Tower and the food was absolutely amazing. Their specialty drinks were fantastic as well. The staff was very easy to work with and accomendated my food allergies well. The morning after the wedding we had people meet us for brunch at the Stratton Deli and Market. The manager was super friendly and made us feel very special. Reviewed on 28-07-2019
Nicole G(bride)3 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 27-10-2018 3 stars because of extremely disappointing dinner at the Stratton Mountain Club at our wedding. First I would like to mention Val Ryan gets 5 stars as she was a life saver throughout the last few months of planning and went above and beyond for anything she could. Our coordinator had left 3 months prior to our wedding day and Val did a great job making our vision happen. She answered every email text call multiple times a day all the way through the wedding night. She even ran to our florist to get another bouquet we needed the day of the wedding. If you want a stress free wedding you want Val to be part of your day. The Stratton Mountain Club was beautiful for both ceremony and reception however, the disappointment came when dinner was served cold to our sweetheart table and 7 out of 9 of the guests tables. We were upset that a venue so beautiful couldn’t handle just 85 guests. Also, the meal they provided us with was not even the meal that we had at the tasting nor what was on our agreement. This was extremely disappointing as what we tasted at the tasting was delicious and our guests said the meal was terrible . If you’re getting married at Stratton Mountain Club, make sure you double or even triple check the meal you are being served is the one you chose as we wished we did this. Reviewed on 02-11-2018

Not only is it a beautiful setting but the team there was extremely accommodating and flexible and the lodging options can't be beat. Devon, our coordinator was helpful from the get go answering any questions we had throughout the process and not enough good things can be said about Mary and her team at the Club who made the event space and the evening absolutely gorgeous. Kate Longstreet(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 01-10-2016 My husband and I just got married at the Stratton Mountain Resort at the beginning of October. We live outside of Boston but vacation in Vermont every fall and had always thought about how amazing it would be to get married in Vermont. We toured a couple venues that weren't quite what we were looking for, and I was starting to lose hope when we got to Stratton. But as soon as we saw the beautiful resort setting, elegant Mountain Club, and adorable chapel, we knew that it was the perfect place for our wedding. The entire staff was so helpful and friendly throughout the planning process, from our awesome wedding coordinator Lisa to the front desk staff to the event staff at the Club. Lisa always replied to my emails promptly and thoroughly and kept me relaxed throughout the planning process. Stratton is really dedicated to making your vision for your wedding day come true, and they really exceeded our expectations. It was so convenient to have our guests be able to all stay at the same place, within walking distance to both the ceremony and reception venues. Many of our guests are from the Midwest and had never been to Vermont before. They loved staying at the resort, exploring, and seeing the beautiful foliage. The day itself was everything we hoped for and more. The staff set everything up for us perfectly, and the food was amazing! So many of our guests said that ours was one of the best weddings they'd ever been to. I would highly recommend Stratton to anyone looking for an authentic, beautiful Vermont wedding without breaking the bank. Reviewed on 19-10-2016
Jesse Reason(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 30-07-2016 We couldn't have asked for a more perfect day. We had our ceremony at the top of the mountain and the reception in the clubhouse below. We did a first look at the covered bridge down the road and the pictures came out amazing ( a must for weddings here) as well as family shots at the top of the mountain. Stratton had a gator waiting for guests at the top of the gondola for any guests that could not walk the terrain. Our wedding planner was Sarah and she did a great job helping us. Always quick to get back to us with any questions we had about the process. We were from out of state so there was lots of planning over the phone and internet. We relied heavily on Sarah and she went above and beyond our expectations. The staff in the clubhouse, Mary and Frank especially, are true professionals. From the moment we got there on Thursday until we left on Sunday they took care of everyone of our needs with a smile. They even set up and decorated the cocktail hour with all of the items we brought up to personalize the room. It turned out better than we imagined. Beside the wedding day, Stratton has a lot to offer to the guests. With so many options at the resort and in the village, half of our wedding guests came up Friday to start the celebrations! So we had a welcome party in the village at Mulligans on Friday night and had a great time. The basement of the bar was practically ours! We rented the penthouse suite in Long Trail and did our brunch in there Sunday morning and it worked perfectly for our wedding of 140. Overall Stratton gave us the wedding of our dreams. It was beyond perfect, with every detailed executed exactly as discussed. They have a wonderful team that truly listens and cares about your day. We hosted a long weekend at Stratton Resort for our guests and held our wedding ceremony at the mountain summit. From the first time we met with the coordinators at Stratton and toured the Mountain Club, we knew we wanted to get married there. Our coordinator, Lisa, was incredible. She was very professional, accessible, responsive, and helpful with everything during our year and a half of planning and was fantastic during our wedding day as well. The Mountain Club Manager, Mary, was extremely friendly and helpful too. Our vendors even told us how much they liked working with Lisa and Mary and how easy the coordination was. The setting is absolutely gorgeous and the Mountain Club is beautifully decorated as well. Stratton Resort had something for everybody on our guest list, from mountaintop yoga and hiking for our more outdoorsy guests to great restaurants and shops for everybody else. The weekend felt like a mini vacation for everybody, which is exactly what we wanted for our wedding. My husband and I feel very strongly that we got a very good value for our money. Lisa, our fabulous coordinator (which Stratton provided), was a pleasure to work with, and time and again went out of her way to make our special day. Lisa took it upon herself to send pictures of the final set up while we were getting ready the morning of and kept us in the loop. She was instrumental in organizing all of the day-of and preceding events. The Green Apron (Stratton's Country Club Restaurant) was the perfect location for our Rehearsal Dinner. The staff was on top of everything and kept in communication with us as the nice progressed. The whole Stratton Village helped us celebrate our wedding. We were able to set up different activities for our guests such as a fire pit with S'mores at Mulligan's Pub for a guest welcome after our Rehearsal Dinner and a post-Reception gathering. The whole Village joined in our celebration adding little details that meant a lot.The girls at the Day Spa at Stratton Village were excellent: they really knew how to treat a bride, her friends, and family, and make them look and feel beautiful. And it was right across the street from the Chapel :) The Chapel of the Snows provided a gorgeous quaint VT setting for our ceremony. The inside was easily decorated however we wanted, but still had plenty of natural charm, light and space. Mary and the Stratton Mountain Club team were absolutely amazing. As a designer, I am really fussy with visual aesthetics and Mary and her team earned my trust beforehand and did not disappoint. Everyone on the team was attentive and friendly, and it was evident that they were there to make our and our guests' experiences exceptional.Frank, who served us at our tasting and ran the bar during the reception, was extremely personable and made a lasting impression on our parents and all of our guests. After talking beer during the tasting with my husband, as were sitting before the toasts started, he noticed that my husband wasn't able to get himself a beer and found the perfect opportunity to subtly get one to the head table. The cooks were fantastic and our guests could not stop raving about the food, the service, and the staff. The head chef even called us a few days earlier to suggest a fresher, in-season seafood option, from which we could tell they had our best interests in mind. Everyone, including our vegan family and friends, was extremely pleased with the quality of the food. The next morning, Mark, a staff member, was incredibly helpful with packing up the decorations that we were keeping. He took time out of his morning to make sure that we could bring things out to our car easily. Our guests appreciated the variety of the lodging options and activities for the long weekend. There really is something for everyone. We consider ourselves extremely lucky to have such a great team working for us on our wedding day. kgeorge8484 (bride)4 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 24-08-2013 We had a great time with our family and friends (~130 ppl) during our wedding at Stratton Mountain. Ceremony was at Chapel of the Snows and reception at the Stratton Mountain Club. Both were perfect for what we wanted - but we are very laid back and just wanted to have fun. Everything is convenient at this location, including hotels (great accomodations), spa, restaurants, things to do. I must say the Spa was overpriced for the services we received (one bridesmaid's hair took literally 8 mins - and it was 95$!!!) but in my opinion worth it for conveniece alone I suppose. If you are a lazy planner like me, a place like Stratton makes things easier on you because everything is right there on the resort - for a price :)\rFood was only OK (was great at the tasting!) but reasonably priced - steak was very undercooked and many sent it back. Cheese and Fruit appetizer was great with local VT cheeses. Paying by the drink here also makes the price go up quite a bit. To save money on cake cutting fees, we ordered cupcakes from a local bakery. We special ordered separate boxes of gluten free cupcakes that got mixed in with the regular ones by the Stratton staff - which was a bummer as it cost us extra to get them made separately for our GF friends, and they were excited to have a cupcake when they usually don't get to have dessert at weddings! Luckily they were able to serve our GF guests ice cream instead. Little details like that were not going to ruin our time of course, but if you are someone who worries about small details - this might not be the place :)\r\rOverall we had a fabulous time, great weather and a very successful wedding at Stratton Mountain. Annemarie (bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 03-08-2013 Our entire wedding weekend at Stratton was better than we ever could have imagined! We live in New York but knew we wanted a Vermont wedding. All of our guests were traveling so it was important to us to have a location where everyone could stay on one property and there would be enough for them to do if they chose to stay the whole weekend. Stratton offers a lot of options as far as hotel rooms and condos at reasonable prices. There is also a small village with restaurants, bars and shops that people can walk to from their hotel rooms. We had our ceremony at the Chapel of the Snows, which is walking distance from the hotels. Our reception was at the Stratton Mountain Club, which is located right at the base of the ski mountain (guests can walk or you can offer a shuttle). One of the best things about the Club is that we were able to choose exactly what we wanted served at our reception. This gave us a lot of flexibility and allowed us to work within our budget. All of the staff was great to work with and they accommodated all of our requests, even those that were a little out of the ordinary. The only slightly negative things I have to say is that the dance floor is a little small considering the size of the room and throughout the planning process, I did not always receive responses to my questions as quickly as I would've liked. However, I think part of that is that coming from NY, I am used to instant feedback. I found all of the vendors I worked with in Vermont to be more laid back than I'm used to. That was a little frustrating but when it got close to our wedding day, I was in constant contact with our coordinator and she made sure everything went exactly as we discussed. Overall, I could not be any happier with our choice of Stratton for our wedding! Reviewed on 22-08-2013
