Located in Summerfield, NC, Summerfield Farms is a picturesque wedding venue situated on over 600 acres of rolling green farmland. A charmingly rustic escape just a short drive from downtown Greensboro, this venue is the perfect backdrop for any wedding. Summerfield Farms has a long and celebrated history as a prosperous working farm, thriving among groves of tall, leafy oak trees. In the 1930s, the Gamble family owned the property, where they grew tobacco and raised cows in the fields. In 1946 they built the large barn, which remains on the grounds today. David Couch acquired the property in 1998. He modernized the farm by introducing holistic management techniques and restoring the buildings on the property to be used as event spaces and luxury lodgements. Today, Summerfield Farms is home to barn houses, cozy cottages, and sprawling patios that can accommodate large and small weddings. At Summerfield Farms, there are plenty of indoor and outdoor ceremony sites to choose from based on the size of your party. There are two luxury farmhouse suites for the wedding party to use as get-ready areas, and you will have access to the venue all day. They can provide tables and cross-back chairs for up to 150 guests, and their team will take care of setup, breakdown, and cleanup at the end of the night. Their on-site event specialist will work with you through the planning phase up until the wedding itself, ensuring that everything runs smoothly. All wedding packages include a two-hour rehearsal slot to run through your ceremony ahead of time and a three-hour timeframe for a photo session.

From the day we went to see the Venue to the day of the wedding, everyone there was super nice and helpful! They eased our wedding stress, working well with our wedding coordinator and other vendors. We got The Branch and The Pole Barn which just made everything amazing. Of course our guests enjoyed barn animal friend mini pearl as well. Jessica and everyone were amazing! Thank you for making our day go as smooth as possible. Definitely recommend this venue and staff to anyone.

Summerfield Farms is the most beautiful place to hold your special day. My daughter’s reception turned out to be more than we could have ever dreamed of. The staff worked to make this day everything we had hoped and envisioned. The fact that most everything is proved was a huge plus. Our guests complimented on the whole event. I could not recommend them enough. If you want your day to be personalized and special, definitely use this facility. They are great for both big and small. The staff is top notch.

We could not have been more pleased at the care and effort of the entire team at Summerfield to make our big day so special. They pay close attention to all your needs and every small detail. They work flawlessly with vendors to ensure your day goes off without a hitch. They work closely with a number of local vendors and have a great relationship with the surrounding community. My husband and I got married on 5/7/23 at Summerfield Farms and it was everything we could’ve dreamed of! The venue is absolutely beautiful, and the staff is amazing!!! We also loveddd being able to get ready in the different houses on Summerfield Farms. I stayed with my girls at the bungalow the night prior to my wedding and it was perfect!!! We loved getting ready together there in the morning, and the guys loved getting ready at the cabin! We had the wedding of our dreams!!!

My husband and I got married on 5/7/23 at Summerfield Farms and it was everything we could’ve dreamed of! The venue is absolutely beautiful, and the staff is amazing!!! We also loveddd being able to get ready in the different houses on Summerfield Farms. I stayed with my girls at the bungalow the night prior to my wedding and it was perfect!!! We loved getting ready together there in the morning, and the guys loved getting ready at the cabin! We had the wedding of our dreams!!!

Summerfield Farms was the absolute best choice for us when planning our wedding. Not only is the beauty of the property unmatched, the staff is sweet and amazing! They truly care and go above and beyond for each person to achieve their dream event. We rented the houses on property (The Cabin and the Bungalow) for overnight stays. Both houses were clean, organized, and so cute! Every detail is thought of on the property, including their market. From beginning to end, the Summerfield team made the wedding planning process so easy and enjoyable. Shoutout to Molly, Elizabeth, and Molly :) We would choose this property over and over again. We can't wait to come back for other events!

Picturesque and perfect. We had the greatest day of our lives for the greatest day of our lives (so far). Summerfield Farms and Katie were from the get go so helpful, quick to respond and informative. We organised our wedding from overseas, and we could not have been able to organise the day so smoothly without the support of Katie and her team. The day was amazing; the venue, beautiful and gorgeous. We got married at the branch, and held our reception in the Pole Barn and could not have imagined a better way to celebrate our marriage. The branch was picturesque and absolutely gorgeous, and an incredibly short walk up the hill to the Pole Barn. Having access to the golf buggies for family members who needed a lift further made the day without any drama. The beautiful cabins we were given for the groom and bride were perfect areas for us to get ready with our groomsmen and bridesmaids. Full amenities, gorgeous setting, air conditioned and wonderfully kitted out with games and other things to entertain (and a barbecue!), could not have asked for anything better! Finally; in the whirlwind of the day and in the evening when we finally left, we left our empty bourbon bottle from the 'bury the bourbon' we did earlier. It was Summerfield, not our caterer, who took it upon themselves to take the bottle, look after it and kept it safe! I'm a little sentimental and it meant the world to us when we found out that Summerfield look after it! Beautiful, amazing, wonderful venue and fantastic service. What more could you ask for in a place where these things matters most for the most important day!

Beautiful, magical, special, perfect venue. Let's start there... the venue is one of the most flexible and appealing ones we have ever visited. And let's be honest... once we saw the barn, we were done for. There is not just one room that guests have to mingle in... there were so many options for where everything could be from the ceremony, to cocktail hour, to the reception and more. Literally guests were not bored and stuck like most other weddings I have been to. The staff is super friendly and communicative. They literally were so helpful in everything we needed... and just wait until they give you the QR code for your big day.. I WAS MESMERIZED. Even though it rained on our big day, when we moved our wedding indoors it was just as cozy and special as we had hoped for. And the staff was so helpful in ensuring that that rain day plan was all set to go last minute. We could not have asked for a better place to celebrate among friends and family. Thank you to Katie and the rest of the Summerfield team!

Summerfield Farm is the perfect venue for your special day. The Summerfield Farms team was there with us every step of the way and were able to attend to our needs for the wedding day. For the price and the guest count that they could hold, we felt like this was such a great deal. It was so fun having access to the property early and getting ready in the Bungalow. As we got ready in the Bungalow, we could see our guest arriving via tractor to the tree for the ceremony, which was fun to observe. Can’t imagine a better place to have chosen to get married!

Summerfield Farms blew every single expectation I had for my dream wedding day out of the water. They were amazing to work with, and helped all of my decor vision come to life! Their staff and event team were some of the most loving and compassionate people I've ever met. They were very accommodating throughout the pandemic, helping me and my guests prepare for the event. The houses that we got to get ready in before the wedding were also absolutely beautiful, and they even hand wrote me a letter welcoming me and congratulating us! They handled all of the alcohol, had golf carts ready for my groom and I at any moment, and THE PICTURES OMG!!! These pictures I will hang on my wall forever and ever. I cannot say enough about how beautiful the entire day was. We cannot be happier to be a part of the FARMily!!

Correspondence was quick, staff was beyond kind, and the venue is always pristine. They help you find any type of vendor you ask for and give you recommendations on ones they have worked with before. If you have any specific requests they work their best to make it happen and are always courteous if it is not feasible. The farm has a myriad of amenities and have so many different ceremony and reception sites, that are all breathtaking! Summerfield is such a wonderful place to have any event at; from the grounds to the staff, it is top quality service you are getting. I cannot wait to go back for all of the day-events they have hosted there. It will be a place my husband and I visit forever!

There were sunflowers blooming when I got married in July and I love my sunflower photos! The team at Summerfield Farms is so professional, and they responded to all my questions in emails quickly. The Bungalow was perfect for getting ready—a kitchen with plenty of space, mirrors and chairs in the hair and makeup area, and plenty more space. I will cherish my beautiful intimate July wedding at Summerfield Farms forever. If you are questioning where to get married you will not regret going with Summerfield Farms! I highly recommend the team and venue at Summerfield Farms!

However, even in the midst of all of the chaos, Summerfield Farms helped us every single step of the way to make sure we were taken care of. From the vendors they offer, to their incredible staff, we could not have asked for a better team to work with. We started searching for venues over a year and a half before our proposed wedding date. With my, now husband, in school full time, we only had limited dates to choose from. SF was so gracious in helping us through all of our stresses, and Kayla and Elizabeth did such a fantastic job communicating with us every step of the way. Even when my communication skills were lacking due to my job, they took care of everything on my behalf. Their team helped us to execute the most stunning and perfect wedding day, even with a rain plan in place. Their rain plan is just as stunning, if not more, than the outside plan! It was so warm, intimate and inviting: the Barn really does speak for itself! Their team, and the breathtaking venue, made waiting nearly two years for our special day worth it, times a trillion. Also- Caren at the well truck was amazing with handling our signature drinks! We had, and continue to receive, nothing but remarkable compliments from every single one of our guests, using phrases such as, “the most epic and beautiful wedding they had ever been to”. Kayla and Elizabeth were there with us every step of the way and made sure that all of our wants and needs were taken care of! They were available anytime to answer any questions we had and made the planning process smooth. The rest of the staff made set up and take down a breeze and were very attentive yet also discreet so that you hardly knew they were there! They also collaborated very well with all of our vendors which was an added perk to ensure our wedding went off without a hitch! Summerfield Farms is an amazing and gorgeous wedding venue! Each team member is so friendly and welcoming to their customers, especially their brides and grooms. We got married in November in the midst of the COVID pandemic. We postponed our original reception and chose to do a small family reception instead, booking at a second venue. Three weeks before the wedding, this second venue went bankrupt and closed. Summerfield Farms came to the rescue; they worked with me to plan the most beautiful reception (and rehearsal dinner) in only three weeks. They made sure to capture the details we had wished for, although we did not expect in such a short time frame. One team member in particular went above and beyond to make our wedding weekend that much more special. We bonded with Ashley during our rehearsal dinner after we found out she attended the same college as us. Her warm and bubbly personality made us feel so welcomed at the Farm. She coordinated a surprise photo shoot the day of our wedding with the newest baby cows on the farm simply after hearing us talk about how much we love cows! She is so thoughtful and caring. This whole company gives you the ultimate bridal experience and I am so thankful for them!

Would highly recommend this venue for the beauty and staff for weddings or other special events. Virginia was so helpful from the beginning with our tour, setting up details on layouts, the whens and wheres of planning and the products available for our wedding. The venue is so beautiful the wedding packages with the house for bride and cabin for the groom the day of was a beautiful and comfortable to use. The four food vendors you have to choose from are of different budget levels an are all delicious to choose from. You must have a wedding day of coordinator. There is a possiblity that there is a second wedding the same day of yours at their second pole barn location, but it will be at a separate time and on the other side of the property so you only have to worry about guest going to the wrong parking lot. We stayed in the cabin the night of the wedding and was a nice area to hang out with our friends after the busy wedding day. Staff, venue and services were easy an all around a great experience. Kayla Watterson was emailing me daily and continuing to come up with alternate plans. She is a saint and kept me sane through this time. Not only was she extremely helpful, but I could truly feel how much she cared. Summerfield was kind, graceful, and genuine when helping during this uncertain time. The wedding was absolutely perfect and I couldn't have asked for a better day. From the bride and groom houses we got to use in the morning, to picking me up before the ceremony so I wouldn't have to walk, to handling everything at the reception, there was not an issue all day. Summerfield is amazing at what they do, they have a beautiful venue, and they truly do care about their couples. I can't recommend them enough. Summerfield Farms was the first venue we toured and we fell in love immediately. We chose to have our ceremony and reception in The Barn and began planning our dream wedding. Then the dreaded corona virus happened and our plans were all over the place. Summerfield was truly our saving grace at keeping our dream alive. My daughter got married here on 3/21/20 just as Covid was taking off. I wasn’t even sure if we were going to be able to pull it off and i was beyond stressed. They did a great job assuring me it would be fine and keeping me calm. We had to make some modifications but they did an amazing job!! It was beautiful and they took very good care of us!! We forgot sparklers for the send off and they managed to find some for us!! I can’t recommend them highly enough! We had a wonderful event!!

The venue is LGBTQ friendly and made us feel welcomed and comfortable. The entire farm is gorgeous and either barn is a magical setting. We went with the Main Barn after we fell in love with the rooftop terrace. We loved being able to have our ceremony inside of the Barn and have an easy transition to the reception. Every single thing that we planned with the Summerfield Farms staff was flawless. All of the staff during the day were kind and helpful. Overall, Summerfield Farms provides the perfect package for a wedding. A stunning venue, impeccable staff, and a magical atmosphere.

Summerfield Farms is beautiful!!! The venue did not disappoint with how beautiful is was all throughout the day. There's so much natural beauty on site that you don't have to go overboard with decorations for any ceremony. It's also great that it's an indoor/outdoor venue with options. I've had friends get married at venues similar to this and they still had to rent chair and tables, which in turn put it at the same price if not more, that we paid for SF.Holly is amazing and an overall incredible person!! We loved getting to know her through the planning process. We are excited about her new role as GM, but missed having her as our direct contact all the way through. She did surprise us on the day of and that meant the world to us to have her there. We understand why they have all of their team meet with you throughout the process at different points, but at times it was confusing. I made sure I communicated a lot through email so that I could remember what was discussed and that whoever was next to work with us knew the details from our end as well. The wedding was beautiful and I would recommend having a coordinator that communicates a lot to whoever it is at Summerfield. That was the one thing we didn't know until the day before was that we would have another person coming in to wrap everything up for us. The day was amazing, the houses you get ready in are gorgeous and for us girls I know we appreciated the space and AMAZING beauty counter! Our hair/make up stylists said by far it is their favorite venue to do hair and make up at because there is no issue with space or lighting. We can't wait to see our pictures and video to walk through our best day at the gorgeous Summerfield Farms again! We are glad to be a part of the Summerfield FARMily now!

What a fabulous experience in every way!! We live about 40 minutes from Summerfield Farms, so were not familiar with the venue. Fortunately, our wedding planner told us about it at our first meeting. It could not have been a more perfect place ! We have had so many comments from guests about what a perfect, unique place it was for the wedding.As the often nervous mother of the bride, I cannot tell you how fabulous it was to work with Holly. What a fabulous experience in every way!! We live about 40 minutes from Summerfield Farms, so were not familiar with the venue. Fortunately, our wedding planner told us about it at our first meeting. It could not have been a more perfect place ! We have had so many comments from guests about what a perfect, unique place it was for the wedding.As the often nervous mother of the bride, I cannot tell you how fabulous it was to work with Holly. She fulfilled every request and answered all my questions immediately.

This ended up being one of my favorite parts of our special day. Holly made me feel like I was a friend of the farm, not just another bride planning her wedding. As we got closer to the wedding, Holly arranged for our wedding favors last minute, and Virginia helped us plan our post-wedding brunch. These girls are on it! The day of the wedding, the events team was amazing! Katie and Virginia made sure that we had everything we needed in the Bungalow and helped to quickly problem-solve any issues that arose. Having the golf carts accessible to us made a world of a difference on the day of the wedding. They catered to our guests who were not able to walk a long distance, and they drove countless family members and ourselves to where we needed to be. There is so much to say about the wonderful team at Summerfield Farms! Our wedding was the absolute perfect day. The venue was breathtaking, and the support and coordination of the team at SFF made our day that much more special. We will always cherish the wonderful memories that were made at the farm, and we will also be grateful to everyone at Summerfield who helped make our dreams come true.

After walking around the farm and drooling over the rustic charm of the White Barn, the simplistic yet jaw-dropping Little Tree, and of course the Bridal Cottage that looks like it's from HGTV... no other venue compared. SF is a one stop shop, making wedding planning the most relaxing experience. I had peace of mind knowing we had the best of the best vendors, I trusted them and let them roll with all their ideas. It was nothing short of amazing. All expectations were exceeded. SF is a pleasure and joy to work with. The staff greets you with open arms making you feel like \"farm family\"! Speaking of the farm, it is absolutely GORGEOUS, and SO many photo ops- let's be real, we are all in this for some good pictures. I couldn't have been more happy with Summerfield Farms. My husband and I had an absolutely perfect wedding day. The location and setting is fantastic. Its only about 20 minutes away from downtown Greensboro so it is easy for guests to get to and from their hotel rooms, and they can use uber/lyft if they want. The farms are beautiful and a perfect back drop for an outdoor ceremony; and the main barn is absolutely amazing for a relaxed and fun reception! The staff at Summerfield Farms was wonderful through the whole process. They made sure they had everything they needed from myself and my wedding planner to make the day go smoothly. On our wedding day the staff would come into the bridal cottage to make sure my girls and I had everything we needed. And throughout the ceremony and reception they worked diligently with my wedding planner to make sure everything was in place and all the guests were happy. I can not give Summerfield Farms and their staff enough praise for everything they did. They were absolutely wonderful and I am so glad that my husband and I chose them for our wedding day. They went above and beyond and were nothing less than amazing.

If you are looking for a beautiful venue with a top notched staff, you need to book Summerfield Farms. Our daughter’s wedding was recently (12/02/17) at Summerfield Farms. Holly and Katie both on staff at Summerfield are phenomenal ! Not only are they professional and on top of everything, they are both warm and friendly, treating your wedding as special as they would their own. The day of the wedding the support staff at Summerfield was another huge bonus, they are totally focused on making your event as perfect as possible and again, you couldn’t meet nicer people. We cannot even begin to imagine a different venue for the more important day of our lives. From the helpful staff, Holly is a ROCKSTAR, to the beautiful property, everything was perfect. We live in NYC and planned our wedding long distance. The team was very responsive and supported our vision after only doing two walk-thru's preparing for our Big Day.The property has two separate houses/bungalow/cottage for the bridal parties to get ready in. The houses are beautifully maintained and only added to the love and joy captured in our photos. If you have any hesitations committing to this venue, I would tell you to run and book your date ASAP. For the most important day in your life, Summerfield Farms was worth every penny. We could not of been happier.

Oh my goodness, Summerfield Farms is a slice of Heaven on Earth!! Being the Mother of Bride recently was an amazing adventure. The Farm is amazing in every aspect of customer service. Everyone was so pleasant, kind and serving. I was a nervous wreck but the folks there made me much more realxed and at ease that everything was taken care of so I could spend the morning and early afternoon hanging out with my soon to be married daughter and her friends and enjoying our time before the wedding. Summerfield Farms is the most amazingly beautiful and peaceful place tucked right in the small little community of Summerfield.

I was a nervous wreck but the folks there made me much more realxed and at ease that everything was taken care of so I could spend the morning and early afternoon hanging out with my soon to be married daughter and her friends and enjoying our time before the wedding. Summerfield Farms is the most amazingly beautiful and peaceful place tucked right in the small little community of Summerfield.

From the moment I was a little girl I fell in love with Summerfield Farms! The natural beauty and the grounds are impeccable! All of the photos are stunning and so unique! My husband and I wanted to treat our guests to an authentic experience that exuded with southern elegance with a twist of Southwestern Decor! We knew that the staff at Summerfield Farms would treat our guests like their very own family. Our guests are STILL raving about how incredible the property, the staff, the food and the attention to detail that went into making our dream come true. The staff treat you like family from the very beginning and make every effort to ensure an incredible experience. From the golf cart and tractor wagon rides to and from ceremony to the beautiful sunset terrace, fire pits, beautiful Edison bulb tent and fun stage for dancing and lounge furniture we couldn’t of imagined our day anywhere else!! The best advice I have is to soak up every moment throughout planning and throughout the wedding day! The entire process from start to finish was a dream!!!

Where do I begin?! There is truly no event venue in North Carolina that compares to Summerfield Farms. From the beginning stages of planning, to helping me create a seamless layout for our rather large guest count, to the end of the night when the guys helped my family load our belongings in our cars - the entire staff at Summerfield Farms went above and beyond to create the most magical day. This venue has thought of everything so you don't have to! Our ceremony site choice was inside the Main Barn, but they also have a beautiful outdoor ceremony site option paired with the Main Barn called the Little Tree. Which is a large oak tree in the middle of beautiful grass pasture. The other venue option on the farm is called the Pole Barn which has three amazing outdoor ceremony options to choose from! You can never make a wrong decision because with the chance of bad weather your rain back up plan would be inside the gorgeous barns! Or if it's 97 degrees outside like it was on our day - crazy!! - you can still feel nice and enjoy yourself inside the air conditioned barn!Included with your venue rental of either barn, you get two beautifully decorated guest quarters to be in from 9:00am-11:00pm. This is SUCH a nice place to hang out with your girls, relax, drink mimosas and get all dolled up!! You don't have to worry about the guys either because they have a house all to themselves to camp out in all day as well! They can kick their feet up inside or play lawn games outside. And if it's their favorite sport's seasons, they won't miss any games because all the houses have Wi-Fi and cable!! Another awesome bonus is that the farm is only 9 minutes from the Greensboro airport and many hotel options in that area, so any out of town family will not have to travel far at all! My husband and I really love food and wanted our guests to be impressed with the food at the wedding! They definitely weren't let down, our choice was Above and Beyond Catering and they were amazing! However, all four of the catering partners at the farm are so delicious and very budget friendly, no matter what your style is! The farm has such a love for sustainable and healthy living so they have picked these four partners that align with their mission and level of excellent service - which I LOVE! Something I also love is that they give you flexibility to be creative and choose vendors of your choice when it comes to photographers, videographers, florists and DJs! But the staff is also more than happy to give you suggestions of local vendors who they have worked with before if you just ask! You won't regret having your special day at this beautiful place. The entire events team is so friendly and accommodating and will do whatever they can to make your day go off without a hitch!

From start to finish, the wedding could not have gone better all thanks to Holly, Katie, and the rest of the Summerfield Farms staff along with our other amazing vendors. It was so nice to be able to chose all of our own vendors, go on multiple tours, and take our engagement photos at the Farm. We loved the venue itself and it was very well maintained and beautiful. We both loved being able to not only get ready on-site but to have such great spaces to get ready in! It was really nice that there were golf carts to help get things/people back and forth all day. The tractors were great, even though I initially didn't want to utilize them I think everyone really enjoyed them! It was a little iffy at first with a change in management but overall I appreciated the clear communication and quick responses throughout the planning process - it made me feel less stressed knowing I was dealing with an organized and professional venue and we felt like Holly/the staff were aware & caring that this was a huge day for us and didn't make us feel like \"another client.\" The small things like sending us a card after the wedding and featuring our day on their Instagram added an invaluable personal touch! The minor things I would have liked would be to have the sound system and some ceremony chairs included rather than having to rent them through the venue separately, but overall we had a 10/10 experience and phenomenal wedding day and I would do it over and over again at Summerfield Farms!

We were married at Little Tree and used the Main Barn and attached permanent tent for our reception. There are other options on the property but I believe the Main Barn is the only space with heat and A/C. I loved everything about Summerfield Farms (SFF). I was initially attracted by the natural beauty of the site and the elegantly renovated barn with a rooftop bar and nice bathroom facilities. The contract process was straightforward. Staff answered all of our questions promptly and were available by email and phone. The planning process went smoothly and SFF was able to provide a digital layout to help our coordinator plan for placement of tables, etc. On the day of they left a special note and flowers for me in the Bungalow, which is a beautiful little cottage I got ready in with a full kitchen, bedrooms, make-up and hair bar with great lighting. My bridesmaid loved it. My husband and his groomsmen were across the property in the cabin. The staff person there during the wedding day made sure set-up, parking, etc. went very smoothly. The photos really highlighted how beautiful the venue was on our sunny wedding day. Couldn't be happier with my experience there.

Although the weather wasn’t exactly what we pictured for our wedding day, the entire day went flawlessly and it was a pleasure working with Holly and the Summerfield Events team! We got married May 6, 2017 under the Little Tree and had our reception in the Main Barn. It was perfect! The night before the wedding, my bridesmaids and I had a sleepover in the Bungalow. It was SO fun being able to wake up with all my girls and spy on the ceremony site setup (you can see the little tree from the bungalow) and the beauty bar (tons of outlets) made it super easy for our hair and makeup team to get everyone's hair and makeup done on time (and comfortably). Another bonus, every inch of it is renovated and stunning. After the reception my husband and I stayed in the Bungalow and checked out the next morning. Staying at the farm added so much to the wedding weekend experience but was also very practical. Doing so allowed us to transport all of our decor the farm the day before and lug it all back the day after, so on the wedding day we could truly relax and enjoy! I could gush all day, but this venue is absolutely breathtaking (even in the rain), the staff is great, and our wedding day was absolutely magical.

Summerfield Farms is truly gorgeous. You don't need to do a thing to decorate really because it is just so naturally beautiful. We had our ceremony by the \"Little\" tree and people cannot stop talking about how beautiful it was. Our reception was in the main barn and tent and again they are both so stunning you barely have to do anything to decorate. The space is made for weddings. The venue just allows for such ease for the night. I will say there is some clear disorganization in the management. While we dealt with many kind and helpful people over the course of our planning, we were switched event producers 4 different times. The last time we were switched was the week of my wedding. Each time we were switched to a new event producer no one informed us of the switch. And the changes caused multiple issues for us. At one point we heard of another couple touring the space and inquiring about having a wedding the same day as ours and they were told that the venue was not booked so we almost lost our wedding day even though we had signed a contract months before this. Our event producer on the day of our wedding was so kind, but did not seem very knowledgable of the venue and was not on the property for all of the wedding day which caused many complications. We arrived at the bridal cottage at 9:30 am to begin hair and makeup and found ourselves alone on the property unable to get ahold of anyone until noon. And again at the end of the evening, my wedding planner could not find anyone to help dim the lights because we had been left alone. I feel as though Summerfield has been in transition for over a year now in their management so some of these changes and miscommunications are understandable. But I did not feel like my day was made a priority. I did not feel like anyone had a good grip of the details of my day. I had a hard time knowing who was responsible for certain things and what we needed to pay for because their policies have changed so many times over the past year as well. I would definitely recommend this venue based solely on its beauty. There is no getting around how gorgeous the space is. But I do hope they continue to work on their organization and management.

Gosh, where to begin. My now husband and I are planners. We booked this venue 10 months before our wedding. We were “given” and events coordinator, who was very unorganized. So much so that my husband and I had to call and remind her of payment due date, scheduling to see the sight, and tastings. About 2 months before our wedding we called to be sure that everything was paid for, we were reassured that all we needed to do was eagerly await our wedding day. 12 days before our wedding we received a call stating that we owed $5k. “$5K or no catering would be taken care of, oh and your events coordinator no longer works for us so we are not sure how you missed this.” Thinks to be aware of: 1. You will not get shuttle service for all of your guests to and from the barn and their hotel. Only 12-15 guests will be given a one-way shuttle from preselected hotels. 2. Summerfield Farms is not to be confused or lumped in with Fresh.Local.Good.Food they are two different business (run by the same people) and they will both “forget to mention” an up charge here or there. 3. They only brought enough food to serve 40 of our 130 guests… we literally had guests scraping mac and cheese from their plates to other wedding guests so that everyone could eat. JUST SHAMEFUL!All in all, the space is beautiful, your guests will be wooed, your day will be perfect. But KEEP IN MIND they are a BUSINESS and all they want is your money- More than half their staff didn’t know I was the bride!

My husband and I saw this venue on a black day in the pouring rain (while I was sick over lunch in the bathroom) and we STILL fell in love! Like most brides reading previous reviews I questioned the customer service experience I would encounter. Worry no more!!! Earlier this year, Michelle and Holly were brought on to the staff here and they are fantastic! No wedding goes off without a hitch, but these ladies (and my wedding planner) were there at every turn to take care of anything we needed or any questions we might have. I would recommend Summerfield Farms to anyone with 100% stamp of approval!Needless to say we were extremely happy with our choice to get married at Summerfield Farms! It honestly made our day just perfect! The weather was amazing so we were able to enjoy the lovely Little Tree for our ceremony, the barn was a great touch and our guests LOVED the rooftop terrace (best kept secret about the venue for sure!), and the tent was stunning! I also really appreciate Summerfield Farms allowing my parents to arrange for the horse and carriage and allowing us to release the biodegradable lanterns. The lanterns had a very special meaning for us and to share that moment with our family and friends was very near and dear to our hearts! We both also very much enjoyed having the Cabin and Cottage for most of the day. Especially with so many girls in the wedding party, it provided a great place for us to relax and get ready. It was definitely a calming touch to a bride who prefers to be where she needs to be hours ahead of \"showtime\". I would also like to send my greatest appreciation and gratitude to Michelle for her assistance and demeanor in the search and rescue efforts to find my Grandmother's lost ring that fell off my hand moments before walking down the aisle. Out of no where Michelle appeared and assured me she would have the team on it - and sure enough my ring was found. The ring was a priceless present willed to me from my grandmother that we just lost 2 months ago. So needless to say I will forever be grateful for her help!Lastly, I agree with previous reviews, be prepared for itemized costs from the catering/rental company that they use as each item is priced out separately. In the end the cost per person was comparable to other all inclusive places. Fresh.Local.Food.Group (the caterer and rental company) was quick to offer budget saving ideas and easy to work with last minute changes and adjustments I made to the proposal. Just be upfront about your budget and they are easy to work with!If you love it like we loved it, you should go for it! This venue is worth every penny!

I would recommend Summerfield Farms to anyone with 100% stamp of approval!Needless to say we were extremely happy with our choice to get married at Summerfield Farms! It honestly made our day just perfect! The weather was amazing so we were able to enjoy the lovely Little Tree for our ceremony, the barn was a great touch and our guests LOVED the rooftop terrace (best kept secret about the venue for sure!), and the tent was stunning! I also really appreciate Summerfield Farms allowing my parents to arrange for the horse and carriage and allowing us to release the biodegradable lanterns. The lanterns had a very special meaning for us and to share that moment with our family and friends was very near and dear to our hearts! We both also very much enjoyed having the Cabin and Cottage for most of the day. Especially with so many girls in the wedding party, it provided a great place for us to relax and get ready. It was definitely a calming touch to a bride who prefers to be where she needs to be hours ahead of \"showtime\". I would also like to send my greatest appreciation and gratitude to Michelle for her assistance and demeanor in the search and rescue efforts to find my Grandmother's lost ring that fell off my hand moments before walking down the aisle. Out of no where Michelle appeared and assured me she would have the team on it - and sure enough my ring was found. The ring was a priceless present willed to me from my grandmother that we just lost 2 months ago. So needless to say I will forever be grateful for her help!Lastly, I agree with previous reviews, be prepared for itemized costs from the catering/rental company that they use as each item is priced out separately. In the end the cost per person was comparable to other all inclusive places. Fresh.Local.Food.Group (the caterer and rental company) was quick to offer budget saving ideas and easy to work with last minute changes and adjustments I made to the proposal. Just be upfront about your budget and they are easy to work with!If you love it like we loved it, you should go for it! This venue is worth every penny!

Oh Summerfield... Such a GORGEOUS venue! I'm so glad we had our wedding ceremony and reception here! :)We chose to have our ceremony at The Main Barn and reception in the adjoining tent. Gorgeous on their own but also blank slates for creating whatever your vision may be. Summerfield was exactly what we were looking for - the PERFECT mix of rustic yet classy. Country yet sophisticated. Oh and that upstairs terrace... amazing! The perfect spot for cocktail hour. The only thing that would make it better would be an elevator. But speaking of making things better... Hiring Holly Summers and Michelle Cone was a great move for Summerfield! Both of them worked very hard to make sure everything was just right and perfect for us, and I appreciate it so much. Holly was our day-of person, and she was WONDERFUL. So incredibly responsive and helpful throughout planning and on the day-of - I can't even express my gratitude to her! I'm sure she was sick of my constant questions! ;) Between Holly and my planner Amanda with A Tough of Southern, I couldn't have asked for a better team. I am so glad my bridal party and I stayed in the bridal cottage and my groom and the boys in the grooms cabin, both on site. Not having to worry about transportation & also being able to sleep till about 10am before hair & makeup (Carla White!) arrived was so glorious. :) So wonderful. Made so many things easier in my opinion! Pretty awesome they have that option available!!Summerfield Farms is an awesome venue with no where to go but up! The addition of the beautiful bathrooms and the terrace happened just within the year from when we booked and our wedding day. I am excited to see how they continue to improve! :) THANK YOU for a beautiful and fun wedding day!!

Imagine planning your wedding ceremony to happen out by the Farm's \"Little Tree\" only to wake up on your wedding day and realize a Hurricane is coming through. I was fortunate enough to stay in the girls bungalow on the farm the night before my wedding, which was the best decision I made. It was such a cute space and fun to be in. I woke that morning to rain, looking out the window over at that beautiful tree. Little did I know, The Barn was going to hold ceremony memories for which I would forever be grateful for and love more than I could ever imagined.Holly was absolutely a doll. She was so helpful in answering the crazy amounts of emails I sent her. And when it came to our actual wedding day she was so helpful and sweet. She even sent me a text after the wedding of a photo she'd taken while we were having pictures done telling me how much she enjoyed working with us. And that really made me feel special and as though a wedding on the farm really means something to the farm.Hurricane Matthew was not on our minds when we booked the farm. We dreamed of a ceremony by Little Tree. But we moved everything into the barn and when I stepped out of the car and into the barn, as I started walking down the aisle, I just felt this sense of magic. The beauty of the barn is something that doesn't need a lot of dressing up. My parents worked really hard last minute to do so nice decor, but they kept it simple, because the barn speaks for itself. I'm so glad we wound up in there. Then in turn our reception was in there as well so the whole evening just had this sweet, intimate feel to it. Everyone we worked with was so kind and ready to help out. I just love everything about the farm and wish we could come back and relive our perfect day all the time. Thank you so much for such an amazing place to start our journey in life together!

My review will come in two parts as the first half of my planning was a nightmare. The only reason I am including this in my review is that I want to highlight the changes that have been made (or at least from my experience). I have read previous reviews of distraught brides and family members, so I want to acknowledge the struggle of using the farm for my wedding but emphasize the significant improvements the farm has made.I booked the farm the day after I was engaged. I was so excited to have a venue that included nature (the little tree) with a modern twist on a barn (the main barn). At this time the main barn had not yet completed many of its projects: the silo bar, the bathrooms, etc. Our point of contact at the farm seemed great, whatever you wanted you got. There was a lot of leniency. As we began to get proposals we too felt \"nickled and dimed\" as so much was not included in the venue. We also felt cheated by the charges to set up chairs, pay for the chair and pay for break down of the chair in addition to overall labor costs. This, I still believe, is something the farm should look into and either rework the appearance of it on proposals or realize that the \"labor\" to carry chairs from the storage unit only a few hundred yards away is not that significant. As another bride mentioned, you must be very detail oriented when working with Summerfield because at booking you probably didn't consider asking for the pricing of the caterer, which you get regardless. Had I thought to review the pricing of napkins, plates, cups, chairs, etc. I may not have had such shock when seeing all of this. In the beginning I truly felt, along with my family, that the company was not a service based company. They were not in it to \"serve\" customers. I think a big piece of what was missing for them in the beginning was not having a true handle on the business and growth of their company. I won't go into those details, because thankfully, they made their biggest and smartest investment when hiring Michelle Cone. I was able to work exclusively with Michelle and was thankful immediately for her professionalism, her note taking and her willingness to find solutions and answers (and follow through on it). I met with Michelle a few times before the wedding and each time felt that I was her top priority, even though I knew she was balancing a new job and several other weddings/events. She went out of her way to fix problems that were created prior to her arrival and truly established a wedding venue focused on customer satisfaction and enjoyment. I would absolutely trust Michelle with any event in the future and would recommend Summerfield Farms SOLELY because of her. The venue is fantastic, however without an advocate during such an important time it can ruin the entire process. She understands the larger concepts as well as the small details (such as dead branches hanging off the Little Tree). I am very thankful to have worked with her and to have this venue forever establishing the beginning of our marriage.

My fiancé and I completely fell in love with Summerfield Farms when we toured it! The setting was just beautiful and we were so excited to be able to book it for our wedding. Overall I think our guests loved it and had a great time, which is fantastic! However, the issues we had to deal with along the way were unacceptable. Two months before our wedding, we learned that our contact we'd dealt with the entire time, was no longer working for the farm. Due to that change, there were several things that were discussed yet not written down anywhere in our file. We had planned to stay in the cottage the night of the wedding, but it hadn't been booked. We were told it would cost us $300 to book it. Luckily, my fiance had in writing that the cottage was included. About 4 days before the wedding we were told that the sound system was not available because it was out for repair. Summerfield Farms put it on us saying that we never requested the sound system. Unfortunately we were never told we needed to \"request it.\" During our tour it was made clear that we were having a large wedding (close to 300 guests) and that we would need sound. I guess that was another part of changing hands to a new contact person right before the wedding. However, common sense would tell you that when a ceremony is happening under the little tree with approximately 300 guests, a sound system is needed. My coordinator went back and forth with the farm. They never took responsibility nor did they offer to try and find a replacement. My coordinator saved the day by finding a sound system but then during the ceremony the main power source from the farm went out so ultimately several people did not hear a lot of the ceremony. When we found out that there was a wedding the day before, we were told we could not rehearse at the little tree unless we did it at 2:30. This was right in the middle of the afternoon and very inconvenient for several people but we agreed on this time so that we could at least have our rehearsal at the actual spot we planned to get married. When my fiancé and his groomsmen showed up at the little tree for rehearsal, he was told, very rudely, that he was not to be there. The professionalism of the new person in charge (whom we had not even met) was very disappointing! The day of the wedding seemed to run smoothly until we got to our seats to eat our dinner and it was cold. They pre-plated our food but must have done it WAY early so it was just sitting there getting cold. A guest told me that her table barely got any salad because when they went through the line it was pretty much empty. We had macaroni and cheese and chicken fingers for the kids and I heard that the macaroni and cheese was terrible. When I emailed the catering company about these complaints they truly didn’t take responsibility for any of it and pretty much blamed it on us that dinner didn’t get started on time. We had a lot of food left over yet we had guests say when they went through the line that there wasn't much food left. That's very embarrassing. We were charged overages for people having “too much fun\" so the bartenders weren't able to leave on time. Truly feel as if we were nickeled and dimed.It's a shame that we dealt with so much stress leading up to the wedding but overall the venue is absolutely beautiful. I would recommend the use of the venue because it's truly magical, but be VERY specific about every little detail and have EVERY SINGLE THING in writing.

We had the best experience we could imagine with our wedding at Summerfield Farms. The venue is gorgeous and the vibe at the farm is hard to describe. Our guests are still commenting on the beauty of the place and the special feeling we all had being there. Along the way, we met the owners, the farm manager, and the people who work in the market, who all reinforced our sense that this is a special place that focuses on good farm practices, good food, aesthetics, and the guests' experience.We took to Alyssa Wray, the sales manager, right from our first visit and were lucky to have her manage our event. She was extremely easy to work with; every time I worried about the logistics of anything, she simply let me know it would be taken care of. And it was. She made us feel that we and our event were special, and she kept our experience of the planning low key and simple. She was always available for a visit for planning purposes, and made us feel welcome. The day of the event, we didn't have to worry about anything...all was ready and each transition flowed smoothly without a hitch.There were many wonderful things about our experience, but one of the best on the day of the wedding was the food and the food service. We had a great time at our tasting at the Iron Hen in Greensboro (go there for Sunday brunch!), and we had rave reviews from our guests about all of the food, from appetizers to main menu. I was anxious about knowing how to plan the right amount, but Alyssa helped us to both save money and end up with plenty left over to feed visitors for the next few days. They handle all the rentals and set it all up beautifully. It was a magical day -- the beautiful setting, the great food, and the way that all was handled so that we had nothing to worry about but enjoying ourselves.
