Mountain View Venue with Elegant Reception Barn

Up in the serene Blue Ridge Mountains of Ellijay, GA, sits Summit Farm Weddings, an enchanting countryside event venue with a panoramic view of the Appalachian Mountains. The property is owned and operated by a wife-and-husband team, Leta and Russell Hood. Their family has lived on this farm for six generations. After their middle daughter got married in the front yard in 2015, the family began transforming the farm into the wedding destination it is today. With a maximum capacity of 125 guests, you and your partner can host the intimate or extravagant celebration of your dreams. Leta and Russell employ seasoned event staff who aim to ensure your big day goes off without a hitch. Upon arrival, you and your entourage will be escorted to the venue’s private get-ready rooms. One of these, the suite, is fitted with vanities and luxurious furnishings, while the den is a comfortable space perfect for pre-aisle preparations. When all of your guests have arrived, you can make your way to the enchanting outdoor ceremony site on a grassy lawn.. Here, you and the love of your life will exchange vows surrounded by breathtaking mountain views. After that, you may move to a large rustic barn for your reception celebrations. This event space exudes a welcoming atmosphere, and it’s also flexible to accommodate various wedding visions. Leta and Russell want your planning process to be as straightforward and streamlined as possible. I wish I could give more than 5 stars because the venue and the staff and the family who owns and runs it are all so amazing. From the moment we walked into the ceremony and reception barn area we knew this was the one. Also after touring with Rebecca we were sold. I worked with Rebecca the most and my lord she is just absolutely wonderful, so helpful, and I can go on and on. Every single part of the planning experience to the night it’s self were fabulous. We got married yesterday and it was amazing. We got some on and off rain and that’s when we really saw the staff go above and beyond, I dreaded it raining on my wedding day but the staff and our photographer made it fun. The fact that most everything is included is awesome! I couldn’t imagine having to book all the vendors myself, they did a wonderful job pairing us with the best vendors. I have to give a huge shoutout to Kelly, my day of coordinator. She was my right had woman all night and I am just at a loss of words for how absolutely wonderful and helpful she was. I 100000% recommend summit farm weddings for your big day. The experience with them was phenomenal. Thank you so much to the staff for the most perfect day!

Russel, Leta, Becca and their team are absolutely amazing! I got married Oct of 2023 and the day was perfect! Being an allInclusive venue made wedding planning a breeze! Summit Farms is the best and perfect venue to have the Mountain View back drop! The views are breathtaking and the sunset is stunning!! I wish we could do the day all over again!! Summit Farm is the most magical, romantic, beautiful place to have your wedding! Becca ,Susan, and the rest of the team work over and above to ensure your day is perfect. My wedding fell on a very rainy day. I was heart broken. BUT the team a Summit Farm pulled off the most beautiful, cozy outdoor wedding under the Pavillion. It was even better than what I had planned outside with a mountain view! All their recommended vendors are AMAZING! Becca handles everything for you! I unfortunately had a stroke a few months before my wedding and Summit Farm went over and above to restructure my day and I never lifted a finger! From the bottom of our hearts, THANK YOU Summit Farm team! May God richly bless you!!

Our experience with Summit Farms was perfect at all aspects. From the venue itself (which is STUNNING), to the planning portion with Becca (who is AMAZING at what she does), Susan our wedding coordinator (also amazing and paid attention to every detail), and all our vendors and the venue staff were all perfect. There was not one thing that I would change about our day and all the people included in the process. I would do this all over again with this team in a heartbeat.

My husband Edward and I had our DREAM wedding at Summit Farm Weddings on September 30, 2023. We areabsolutely in love with Summit Farm and the outstanding service that the team provided. We are eternallygrateful to the wedding director, Becca, wedding coordinator, Kelly, our photographer, Kayla, baker, Veronica, florist, Michelle with Blue Ridge Flowers, – they are all amazing – super professional, informative, patient, immensely supportive and so sweet. They are all on top of their game. We could not have done it without them. We chose Summit Farm not only because of thegorgeous view and rustic venue, but also because Summit Farm provides pretty much everything that you need, whichmakes the planning that much easier. You can make your event as simple or as grand as you’d like through every detail. Their location is beautiful. Everything from the ceremony to the reception was immaculate. Vibes were great, drinks were flowing, and service was prompt and flexible with our timeline. The table settings were gorgeous and their presentation was outstanding. HUGE SHOUT OUT to Kelly!!! Kelly was fantastic to work with. If you needed anything, Kelly would already have it or would find a way to get it for you. She was such a joy to work with. Summit Farm Wedding ENSURED that my perfect day would be just how I envisioned it. Words can never express how grateful we are!!!!

This is the most beautiful venue around. The family that runs it is amazing! The are so much and helpful. They set up everything for the wedding to be a perfect and stress free day. They are help coordinate with the food vendors, gettinh cake, photographer, DJ, florist and wedding coordinator. It was an unforgettable experience and they made it even more special. This venue is the best around and the views will leave you speechless.

Summit Farm is absolutely STUNNING, however, we chose this place based on the service they provided and the lovely family that owns it! On our first visit they were so kind and made us feel at ease right away. I loved that they cover just about every vendor out there and I didn’t have to go searching for a florist, baker, photographer, caterer, wedding planner, etc! Not to mention they decorate the whole place and take it down as well, so very minimal effort from you or your family is needed. Not only that, the vendors they booked for me were TOP notch. So yes, the place is beautiful and the background is to die for but you won’t be disappointed on the service either! I wouldn’t change a thing about our wedding day, it was absolutely perfect! So thankful for this place.

I don't know where to start... This place and the people there are the absolute best. From my first visit to the venue to leaving on my wedding night, every moment was absolute perfection. The view is hard to beat, the staff is kind, courteous, detail oriented and flexible, and the vendors they work with are fantastic. Kelly, our day of coordinator, was an absolute angel. She communicated well, eased my nerves and was always one step ahead of us. Summit Farms did not meet my expectations, THEY BLEW THEM OUT OF THE WATER! Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!

Summit Farms ReviewAs I reflect on my wedding day, I am upset that I will look at our pictures and remember the absolute terror I went through during the wedding planning process through my wedding day. We went with Summit Farms because they made it appear that they would provide dedicated support to ensure this day was the best day ever, and they had Wi-Fi to support many online guests who could not attend in person. Their personalities won us over, so we felt confident in having my special day there. At the time, we thought that the facility requirement of using their ‘experienced’ wedding planner (daughter of the property owners) would be perfect because I own my own business, and as a full-time student, my free time is very limited. Unfortunately, it was not until months after signing the contract that it was discovered that the wedding planner was the cause of my nightmare of wedding planning and a complete waste of money. The daughter did not once help me plan anything. When I say I had to do everything, I mean every detail. For example, when selecting vendors, she only provided information for her friends. Since I did not hire her friends, she did not provide me with or assist in finding additional options. One specific example was the send-off for our wedding. She only knew of a horse and carriage that was out of business and could not find other options. Thus again, leaving it up to me to find my own vendor. I had instructed the wedding planner that she was not to speak with my mother-in-law under any circumstances and to only communicate with me. The wedding planner continuously conversed with her against my very specific instructions, as my MIL was trying to repeatedly rearrange the plans I had made for my wedding. The problems the wedding planner caused between my MIL and us (bride/groom) became so escalated that we had to seek counseling. False selling point: trusting / reliable wedding planner.The wedding planner also constantly lost my emails, and I continuously had to resend them to her (even after months had gone by). Throughout the planning process, she continued to throw around extra charges or conveniently forget what she had told us in person. There are several things I asked her to do or send me that she never did. I had a morning wedding, and though they claimed to be in the wedding business for many years and had vast experience with many different types of weddings, they stated they had never had a morning wedding before and “did not know what to do.” False selling point: an experienced wedding planner that will make your wedding planning experience wonderful and puts the needs of the bride first.Instead of being excited about my wedding, I wanted it done. I was rushed into setting a date and did not realize that their decorations concept consisted of cheap hobby lobby signs. Everything I requested, from the location of the tables to having two different types of lace, was questioned. Just like most brides, I needed to be at the venue hours before the ceremony to get my hair and makeup done and to get dressed. Since my wedding was in the morning, it was a struggle to get the owners to cooperate with me to open the bridal suite/reception area early. They tried to convince me to do all of this at our cabin. This way, they could sleep longer and set up an hour before the wedding even though the owners live on the property, and the reception area is approximately 50 feet from their front door. After reading the contract, we were allowed to be at the property five hours prior to the start of the ceremony, and we had to tell them what time we would be there.Another selling point of the property was the Wi-Fi capabilities that they claimed they had. I have traveled to several countries doing missionary work, and we have family across the United States. So, having strong Wi-Fi was important because we were going to live stream the wedding and record it so we could watch it for years to come. The day of the wedding, it was perfect weather, but the Wi-Fi was not available at the ceremony area, so our guests and family from around the world who were much anticipating being able to be part of our day virtually were not able to watch, and now I am without a video of my day. We had people who told Summit Farms staff, and no one informed us (I would have made sure someone at least recorded the ceremony). False selling point - reliable Wi-Fi.During our wedding rehearsal, one of the owners did not know who my fiancé and I were. The planner was also not there for the rehearsal or wedding day. During the rehearsal, the mother was there and did not have the correct wedding information, even though I had sent it prior to the wedding. At the rehearsal, the owners were given specific instructions not to tell anyone the codes to get into the bridal suite or the groom’s suite. As a result of them publicly telling everyone the codes at the rehearsal, we had guests entering the groom’s suite repeatedly the morning of the wedding, and guests tried to enter the bridal suite. False selling point - reliable.Due to me having to plan my ENTIRE wedding, I created a very detailed binder with photos of what everything was supposed to look like and where everything went. I emailed it to the planner and coordinator, and they STILL managed not to do what was asked of them. False selling point - whatever the bride wants, we will do. One major example is ferns in front of the posts on the platform. Now that is in every one of my wedding photos. We also requested the parking attendants to check wedding invitations. According to guests, the two guys waved and pointed. Day of the wedding, the staff was seen eating from the buffet, and unfortunately, we ran out of food. We paid for extra food so that it could be frozen for out-of-town guests, but the owners took it upon themselves to offer it to their staff, my mother witnessed this and was appalled. Several guests complained about the staff eating and finishing our wedding food and never putting out more cake (we were left with four cakes to take home).According to the contract, the staff were to put out the corn hole and life-size connect four. Due to them putting it on the side of the reception area, they were not discovered until after everyone had left.We ended the reception earlier than planned and had several hours left so that we could have been there according to the contract, but when there were just a few guests left, the owners and staff were quick to rush us to leave. My entire day, the owners were less than pleasant. They kept complaining about how the wedding the night before kept them up late, how tired they were etc. So, they rushed us to leave quickly so they could get rest.Pros: - Beautiful facility- Sound system inside of the reception area- Multiple bathrooms - Wedding coordinator, chosen by the venue, was worth every penny. - Easy to read contractCons:- The wedding planner. Without a good wedding planner, you will experience stress like never before and will strongly consider eloping just to avoid all of the issues and extreme loads of stress. The wedding planning experience was an absolute nightmare.- The vendor options the wedding planner tries to convince you to use.- Trusting the owners and staff will adhere to the requests of the bride.- The cheap décor - The lack of Wi-Fi - Inattention to detail of the staff

Thank you could never possibly be enough to express how grateful and humbled we were with the entire day. You, Mom and Dad (please thank him for me, I didn't get a chance to say goodbye), Kelly (she's AMAZING, don't know what we would have done without her) your brother and everyone else involved went above and beyond to make this day so special & stress-free for us, the kids and all of our guests. It truly was Magical and Breathtaking!!! Most of all, a big shout out to the man upstairs for somehow clearing the skies as if on queue, like a miracle, and giving us the setting and backdrop we had so hoped for. It was as if we were on a movie set. I'm naturally a pretty big softie, but I have NEVER cried so many happy tears in my entire life, and still overwhelmed by the day. I want to go back and re-live it again and again. Our entire family and special guests absolutely LOVED the venue and couldn't say enough nice things about how beautiful everything was. I can't wait to see the photo's and videos. I know I'm being a typical proud and biased Dad, but Ashley and Ian make such a beautiful couple, we're hopeful you can leverage the content for your website etc sometime in the future Again, THANK YOU to you and your entire family and your beautiful home/farm for making this the most memorable day of our lives.

I cannot recommend Summit Farm Weddings enough. We already knew, but every single guest commented on how beautiful/perfect the venue was. We booked the all inclusive package - Becca & the team made everything *so* easy for us. The entire staff (the Hood family) was incredible from start to finish. My family was so impressed with the day of coordinator Kelly, as were we! Everyone was so sweet, so communicative, and though we tried to not have many of them, the Hood's were so helpful and accommodating to our specific needs (allergies, requests, etc.). The vendors in the all inclusive package are all incredible. We literally had a perfect wedding day, and our pictures from Stacie Hart are incredible. We only wish we could do it again! Thank you thank you thank you!

Summit Farm Weddings is a spectacular place to choose for your perfect wedding day! Our special day was meant to have 90% chance of rain all day with no break. The staff and family all coordinated seamlessly to make sure everything would be amazing no matter what the weather decided to do. After, having the rehearsal inside and lots of prayer, everything cleared up and we had the most miraculous day all thanks to everyone at Summit Farm Weddings and the familiar vendors. They take all of the stress that comes with planning a wedding away and really allow you to just take everything in with no worries! Thank you!

The venue was beautiful and had so many breathtaking views. The staff was super friendly and more than helpful. The organization of the wedding from decor, to flowers, to rehearsal details, it was all well managed. I was thoroughly impressed by and relieved to have the Summit Farm team for our wedding day. It was truly special and beautiful. The food was great, the people were nice, Stacie the photographer was awesome, and Kelly the day of coordinator amazing. Judy made beautiful flower bouquets and decor. The cake was also delicious! Leta and Russell were so welcoming and generous and thank you to Becca for helping me think everything through. Thank you to everyone who played a part in making our day amazing. I’m so happy that we chose Summit Farm for our wedding day!!

I had my wedding on 12/3/22 at Summit Farms and this venue and their team is amazing! I booked back in February of 2022 and ever since then I have had all my questions answered and treated so well! We had a crazy day of fog and rain but they made sure my day was magical and we had the best time! All my guests gushed about how much they loved the venue. We couldn’t be more thankful for Becca and her family for making our special day the best and most enjoyable experience for us! All of our vendors included in our package were amazing and very communicative. I can’t recommend them enough!!

As the mother of the bride, as soon as I stepped out of the car on our 1st visit to Summit Farm, I knew this was the place ! So beautiful it is breathtaking . We visited in summer with a December wedding date, so knew the view wouldn’t be the same in December, but the beauty of those mountains was still amazing ! And the barn is so beautiful!The family is the most friendly, accommodating people ever ! All so sweet and helpful!If you are planning a mountain wedding, do yourself a favor and book Summit Farm !!

Our wedding was amazing thanks to all the staff at Summit Farms. Everything went so smooth and was so beautiful!! It was so nice to not have to worry about finding individual vendors, especially because we live out of town. After we left from checking out the venue for the first time, we knew it was the one! The view is beautiful, and Leta and Russell made us feel right at home. Becca was always quick to respond with any questions and helped put any of my anxiety at ease. The staff works so well together! Our coordinator Kelly helped everything go so smoothly. The photographer, DJ, cater, florist, baker, bartender were all included and they were amazing! Our day was perfect. I have had multiple guests tell us it was the best wedding they have ever been to and I agree :)

This was my first wedding so I didn’t know what to expect or how to plan or anything. We wanted to have a ceremony/reception in the same location with the mountains being in the background of the venue. When we found summit farms, we visited and it was beautiful. However, I didn’t know at the time that they had an ALL INCLUSIVE deal! That put the icing on the cake. They booked all of my vendors for me, did the setting up and taking down of decor, and I literally did not stress one second. I can not recommend this venue enough. It was absolutely amazing. Mr Russell and Mrs. Leta and their daughter Becca are so personable and helpful. Wish I could do it again!

If you’re looking for an outdoor mountain wedding look no further. I booked this venue sight unseen for a destination wedding. The first time I saw it was the day of the wedding. It was so breathtaking I still can’t believe it in pictures. I have to add the venue owners are so nice and helpful it really made me at ease knowing I was taken care of. It’s amazing that everything is included and taken care of vendor wise. I only had to get a videographer.

The team at Summit Farms was phenomenal from start to finish. Leta and Russell were so awesome and professional when we customized our wedding package. Costs were clear and they were easy to work with. Becca, their venue manager, was AMAZING. She kept in contact with me the entire planning process, and helped narrow down eat detail from timing, decor, to even checking in to make sure I was doing okay. The day off was nothing short of spectacular. They handled rain and delays efficiently, and made our day so smooth. Special thanks to our day of coordinator, Mrs. Kelly Buckner for being the most amazing person that day! She truly made my husband and I feel supported and that we had everything we needed. Overall, I would HIGHLY recommend Summit Farms and their beautiful team for your special day! Couldn’t have asked for a more beautiful venue or team of people. THANK YOU, SUMIIT FARMS!!

We had our daughter’s wedding at Summit Farms on Labor Day weekend. The entire experience was amazing! When people heard that my daughter was getting married, they thought I would be so stressed during planning, but Summit made it very seamless! Becca was on top of everything and coordinated with all the vendors. We were very happy with the DJ, florist, baker, and caterer that were part of the all-inclusive package. The owners were wonderful and very kind. I spoke with many of our guests that had spoken with the owner at the reception and mentioned how kind he was. He genuinely wants to share his blessings with other families! They have a beautiful venue with a plethora of decorations from which to choose. The staff took care of everything on the wedding day! It was beautiful and stress free! We loved our experience at Summit Farms!

My husband and I had the most wonderful wedding at Summit Farm Weddings, it is a day I will never forget and cherish forever. We were able to enter into our marriage covenant in one of the most beautiful and self-sustaining venues I've been too. Not only does Summit Farm have packages that offer just about everything you need for a wedding celebration (i.e. free decorations, suggesting and making the arrangements with a food provider, florist, photographer, cake maker, etc.) the members and staff of the Summit team are personable, friendly, and understanding hosts that will do just about anything and everything to make your dream day come true. We know this first hand as our wedding day had unexpected showers that changed all of the ceremony arrangements last second (like 1-2 hours before the set time), and the team was incredibly accommodating, allowing us to set up the ceremony in a space that had never been for used for one before. Everything went more incredibly than we could have ever imagined, even with a situation that could have become a semi-tragedy. We highly recommend this venue and will always remember the best day ever in the most beautiful location at Summit Farm Weddings.

Summit Farms gave me the wedding of my dreams. Being from South Florida, I had always dreamed of having a mountain wedding but had no idea how I would be able to pull it off. When I found Summit Farms on Google, I knew I hit the jackpot. From the moment I first talked to Leta on the phone, I knew there was something special about this venue, and the family that ran it. I booked it sight unseen - the phone call, virtual tour, and Instagram page were good enough for me. The all-inclusive package was a dream. Not having to worry about booking and managing 5-10 vendors took SO much stress off of wedding planning. It allowed me to just focus on the fun part- my vision! Becca, Leta, and Sandra were amazing at executing everything I wanted, and were really flexible whenever I had a special request.They were extremely communicative, quick to respond, and just plain kind! At the cake tasting, rehearsal, and on the big day, Russell and Leta really made us feel like we were part of their family. They demonstrated true southern hospitality with their warmth and kindness- making sure we were comfortable, surprising us with sweet treats, and overall being very calm and relaxed. They never made it feel transactional, it felt more like they were a family sharing their beautiful land with our family, which made our wedding day feel so much extra special. Everything from the food, the cake, DJ, flowers, decor, etc were truly perfect. You always hear about things going wrong on the wedding day, but I truly feel that my wedding was everything I wanted and MORE. I will forever remember this day as magical, and can’t wait to visit it again some day.If you’re thinking about booking Summit Farms… just do it! :)

We did the all inclusive package since my new husband and I live in El Paso. It was the best thing I could have done for my own mental health and well being. They took care of all the coordination. Since they work together all the time, it was seamless. All I had to do was provide guidance and some of the small details I wanted to incorporate, and they did the rest. We put in a little more for the flowers portion, but other than that we kept to the package. I was told the food was the best they have had at a wedding by my guest, the flowers and set up was beautiful, and the staff was super helpful and wonderful. I was a little hesitant about picking the included photographer (too good to be true right?), but our engagement photos captured our love for each other and I can’t wait to see the wedding photos. The included cake was delicious and came exactly how I expected it to. Also the DJ was super easy to work with (see full google review on complete weddings+ events Atlanta).Did I mention the staff at summit farms? They make you feel like family and seem to actually enjoy what they were doing. This makes for a happy, no stress event.I went to a lot of venues to figure out which one to pick. When I got here, there is absolutely no comparison. Everyone you meet at this venue has the heart of gold. I felt so completely cared for during the whole lead up and completion of the wedding. If you don’t like something, they just make it disappear (I mean the decor portion and not your guests haha).I got to actually enjoy our wedding. How many brides can say that?

I had the absolute pleasure of watching my son and daughter-in-law get married at Summitt Farms this past weekend. This venue has the most beautiful view, allowing your photographer to have amazing backdrops for photos. The bridal suite is very spacious for hair and makeup and having the bride and bridesmaids dress for the wedding. It is also a gorgeous with a private bathroom and a fridge for keeping your snacks. The grooms den was perfect for the guys hanging out, watching some football to keep calm and a small deck just outside their door. The reception/barn was a great size and the choices for decor are more than plentiful. The chandeliers , the candles, the flowers , the areas for wedding cake, gifts, and bar were all perfect. The entire staff was beyond friendly and accommodating. Russell and Leta Hood, the owners of the venue are two of the kindest, most honest human beings you will ever have the honor of meeting. They were meant for this job. My family feels so very blessed to have been able to hold our wedding at Summitt Farms. If I could leave 50 stars instead of 5 I would be happy to do so. Thank you Russell and Leta for a perfect fall wedding for Taylor and Kim.

If you’re looking for a breathtaking mountain wedding venue with incredible, personable owners.. look no further! Summit farm weddings is an amazing venue with great wedding packages that make planning your wedding easy! I had a 10/3/21 wedding with them and utilized their all inclusive mountain wedding package! I was able to choose from a list of amazing vendors that were recommended by the venue. Each vendor was absolute perfection. Russel and Leta (owners) go above and beyond for your day and make everything so special! Our wedding coordinator, Kelly, was included in the wedding package and was an absolute gem! She was one step ahead of us the entire day and worked tirelessly to ensure we had the best night of our lives! Forever grateful to have found and booked my wedding with Summit Farms! I will hold the memories we made there so close to my heart for the rest of my life!

Leta and Russell were very welcoming from the start! This was the first and only venue I looked at. I was blown away by the mountain view. The day of my wedding was stunning. I could not have asked for a better place to have my wedding. Leta and Russell made my family and guests feel very welcome. My wedding coordinator that was provided by the venue (in the wedding package I chose) was amazing and kept the day running very smoothly. The sunset over the mountains was so breathtaking and was great for pictures. Please give this place a visit if a mountain wedding is what you are dreaming of!

Summit Farms is a beautiful outdoor venue that has a barn area. It has a scenic view of the mountains, which also makes the photos look wonderful as a plus! They have great packages with good quality suggested vendors. Because of Covid, my husband and I made the difficult decision to postpone our wedding a year. Summit Farms made this process easier for us and even though we made many changes, like downsizing the guest list, they went above and beyond to be accommodating and make it special. All in the heat of July! You will not regret your choice to have your wedding here!

I found Summit Farms online while planning my wedding from over 6 hours away. I spoke with Leta and booked the venue without seeing it in person. She talked to me and knew just what I was wanting for our wedding. To say that Leta helped make my dream small wedding come true is an understatement. She answered every question I had(even when they were asked at 10 at night), and put all of my nerves at ease. Due to Covid we weren’t able to see the venue in person until October which was 2 months before the wedding! Pictures do not do their location justice. It is BREATHTAKING. I was blown away when we pulled up. I couldn’t wait for everyone else to see it on our big day. Russell and Leta made everyone, including myself, so relaxed the day before and day of. We truly felt like family amongst them. They took care of any and everything for our day. It had been freezing cold all week, and no sun only clouds and snow flurries. Russell told us to not worry the night before. It was all going to work out, and it did. We had the perfect weather that day and the sun came out to make it a bit warmer for us. I will forever remember my wedding day with the biggest smile because I got to marry my best friend in an amazing place. If you are looking for a place to get married and have it be absolutely magical and priceless, then don’t look any further. I am forever thankful I found them. I cannot say thank you to the Hoods enough! ❤️❤️

Oh boy, where to even begin? Our second biggest blessing of 2020 (first is that we got married) is that we've met Leta and Russell at Summit Farms Wedding. Again, what a blessing! They are the most genuine couple we've met, and truly the most fantastic vendor and a friend. From the get-go, Leta and Russell have been amazingly sweet, thoughtful, and incredibly flexible. They left us with the remarkable impression that money isn't their priority, but they prioritize making the bride and groom happy on their special day. I've never received that kind of image from ANY other venues, which was SO special to us. The venue is already breathtaking with the mountain views, yet the couple went above and beyond to achieve more than the look we wanted. On the wedding day, we were astonished by what they had pulled off, and so were our guests. It's been two months since our wedding, and we can hear that the guests are still talking about how beautiful and dreamy the venue was on our wedding day. They didn't share that with our family members nor us; they just talked about it amongst themselves, so you know it's real reviews ;). A couple of guests even turned around and looked at us as they were leaving, and when we asked if they had forgotten something, they said that they were getting the last full look of the dreamy scene before they go so that it will be in their memory for longer. Thanks to Leta and Russell, we had the day of our dreams, and our wedding day felt like a cool breeze. If anyone is looking for a venue/vendor of their dreams, we highly recommend Summit Farm Weddings!

On June 9, 2018, my husband and I got married at Summit Farm. From start to finish, the experience was wonderful! Leta and her husband Russell are so personable and made everyone feel very welcome. We could not have asked for a better venue for our rustic wedding! All of our guests have gushed about how beautiful our wedding was and how amazing the view was on our special day! When I stepped out to take a look at the progress being made in the decor of the venue, I was overwhelmed with how gorgeous everything looked! Leta and Russell had many items already there at the farm that could be used. Several times we noticed Leta and Russell talking to our guests and it is obvious that they love what they do! I can't recommend this wonderful place enough. Russell and Leta are the absolute BEST. They took my wedding into their own hands from day 1. I had zero stress about whether or not things would be done. They provide all décor (with tons of options), options for flowers, bridal and groom suites...they literally do it all. Not to mention the view can't be found anywhere else. I am still getting compliments on it months after my wedding. Its BEAUTIFUL!!! We love the Hoods and their beautiful place and are so thankful they opened their home to us.

I was a bride at summit farms when they first began in 2015 and I can honestly say it was such a wonderful experience. The Hood family was awesome to work with! The venue is stunning and it was super affordable. I would highly recommend them to anyone! Parking is easy for your guests, the reception barn is stunning, and you can’t beat the view of the mountains! It rained about an hour before our ceremony and they were quick to make sure everything was dry and taken care of. I am so happy we went with Summit Farms! One of the best decisions you can make if you’re planning a wedding is to book with them!

Summit Farms is a beautiful place to get married. I was a bridesmaid in a wedding there, and the wedding was fabulous. The barn is gorgeous and spacious.. plenty of room for the reception and dancing with a live band or DJ. They have nice, rustic bathrooms, and a gorgeous bridal suite for the bride and bridal party to get ready. I love the mountian view and all this venue has to offer like so many cute props and decor. Summit Farm weddings is an extraordinary venue. I had my wedding here on May 26, 2018 and it was a dream come true. The backdrop is gorgeous with the blue ridge mountains in the distance, the rolling green hills and the beautiful blue sky. My guests couldnt stop talking about how beautiful the setting was. The reception was in a very well decorated red barn with classic and rustic elements. There was plenty of room for all the guests and a great dance floor. There are two awesome rooms for the bridal party top get ready in, making it convenient for everyone. Leta & Russel (the owners) made me and my husband feel like family and were very helpful for the entire process. The venue was very affordable and the different packages they offer are customizable for everyone. If you're looking to have an outdoor wedding with a rustic and classy feel, this is the place for you.

Leta Hood (Owner)

Hi! My name is Leta and I am co-owner of Summit Farm with my husband, Russell. We started our venue in 2015 and it has grown leaps and bounds since then. It began with our middle daughter Becca wanting to get married on the farm. So we all began preparing the grounds and barn for 300 guests. Our daughter's wedding was absolutely perfect and I enjoyed every single minute. I realized that as I was about to retire from teaching, this could become my 2nd career! I began taking floral classes and surrounding myself with a team that LOVES making each detail of your wedding special! It's my joy!
