Sun Valley is a wedding venue located in Chagrin Falls, OH. This elegant space features 25 acres of pristine woodland where you and your new spouse can celebrate your love surrounded by your nearest and dearest. The staff strives to create a relaxed, sophisticated environment that is ideal for romance. At only a 40 minute drive from Cleveland, this venue has the convenience of the city and the natural beauty of a rural destination. This venue is operated by the dream team of wedding professionals. Scott Jones, Jennifer Hartman, and Melissa Lopez each come from a background in music, event planning, and photography, respectively. They shared the dream of running a venue and purchased the suburban haven, Sun Valley. With over 50 years of combined experience in the wedding industry, the team brings a diverse set of skills to the venue. The three owners have created an elegant destination where couples and their guests can enjoy the celebration in peace and tranquility. Upon purchasing the venue, the owners began extensive renovations on the property’s interior spaces including the banquet hall and dressing room. The hall has been brought up to date and features bright, modern interior design. The property’s expansive acreage of lush gardens and forests set it apart from other urban venues. Newlyweds are treated to endless photo opportunities in the gazebo, beside the two ponds, or in the shade of the property’s many trees. Idyllic ceremonies are held on the lawn looking out across the ponds. The space is located close to the main building so that guests can retire to the cocktail lounge after the vows are exchanged. Inside, the open-plan function rooms are spacious and airy, perfect for dining and dancing. Minimalist decor is ideal for couples who want to personalize the venue with their color theme and florals. A glam suite inside the building is convenient for the wedding party and features bright lighting and large mirrors. Sun Valley’s owners welcome weddings both large and small here. The venue can accommodate tremendous extravaganzas of up to 350 attendees with a rental of the dining room and cocktail lounge. Alternatively, intimate celebrations of 50 are ideal for the outdoor terrace space, and events of 100 suit the cocktail lounge. Couples and their guests will have exclusive access to the venue, ensuring the utmost privacy for their special day. The venue has a carefully selected list of preferred vendors available for those planning to marry here, and couples have their choice of one of three approved caterers.

Not only is Sun Valley an absolutely gorgeous venue, but their communication was amazing. I had so many questions and they always got back to me quickly and were happy to help. They were actually the only venue I toured. As soon as I saw the space and talked with Hallie, I knew I didn't need to look at any others.The day of the wedding went so smoothly and I received so many compliments on how gorgeous the venue was from the ceremony space to the reception to the bridal suite and even bathrooms. I cannot thank the owners and everyone involved with my wedding day enough for making it as perfect as it was!

I cannot recommend this place enough!! Jennifer was so easy to work with and always responded to my million questions within hours and with patience. The venue is GORGEOUS! We received so many compliments on the staff that were working as well. The bartenders treated my husband and I like royalty. The whole day was so special thank you to them!

Everyone we worked with in regards to Sun Valley was very polite and professional. Our questions were always answered in a timely manner which made the planning process much easier. I would absolutely recommend this venue as it is beautiful, can accommodate outdoor and indoor ceremonies, and the staff was very easy to work with. We worked with Hallie and Jen throughout our wedding planning process and they were both wonderful. The Sun Valley crew is timely with their responses and answered all of our questions no matter how big or how small. The venue itself is stunning and we did not feel the need to spend extra money on decorations, the building speaks for itself. Sun Valley supplied all of our tables, chairs, table settings, linens and offers a variety of bar packages. They have different events throughout the year that couples who have booked or are planning to book can attend to visit the venue, see it in action and meet potential vendors. We got married in the fall and the grounds were absolutely stunning!

My family was ecstatic in the entire Sun Valley experience. The ambiance of the venue with the outside gardens, fire pit, and dining added a real pizazz to the wedding event. SUCH a beautiful and romantic venue! Our outside ceremony was absolutely stunning in front the pond, it is pristine and spacious inside for 200+ guests and the patio is spectacular for guests to mingle and enjoy a drink together. Kendyl and Scott were our day-of-coordinators and they really went above and beyond for us from the second we arrived until the moment we left the reception. An absolute 10/10 venue to be the foundation for a great wedding!

SUCH a beautiful and romantic venue! Our outside ceremony was absolutely stunning in front the pond, it is pristine and spacious inside for 200+ guests and the patio is spectacular for guests to mingle and enjoy a drink together. Kendyl and Scott were our day-of-coordinators and they really went above and beyond for us from the second we arrived until the moment we left the reception. I honestly do not have enough words to explain how much we loved Sun Valley as our reception venue. From the very first email exchange, Jennifer made the wedding planning process a million times easier. She was always available to meet with us, answer my billionth questions, offer suggestions, and just ease my anxiety and stress in every way. The venue itself is unbelievably stunning. Everyone of our guests raved about how beautiful it was and every detail, from the new patio to the lights, was noticed and appreciated. The floor layout makes it easy to appreciate everyone in attendance and helped create a fun dance atmosphere. The day of coordinators were incredible. If I asked for something I had it before I could finish my sentence. And as soon as their setup was done, they would search me out and ask to help in any way they could. Sun Valley exceeded my expectations in every single way. They were the kindest team to work with. Even without all the beauty that the venue offers, I would choose Sun Valley again just for the team. None of my friends that have gotten married have received the support and help from their venue the way that we did. If you are looking for a stunning venue with the most responsive and helpful staff, book Sun Valley. You will not regret trusting them with your day. If I ever need to plan another large event, Sun Valley would be my first and only option. The customer service stayed exceptional from the first email in October of 2021 until after our wedding was over in May of 2023. Five stars is truly not enough for them.

Venue is designed for outdoor weddings. It was a beautiful winter day for our wedding with snow, however, view from ceremony window was an eyesore. Our wishes to remove, fell on deaf ears. We were promised it would be pushed back, but never carried through. Communication is lacking and needs to be addressed. Venue knew our request a week before wedding. Still would book again, due to scenery. Pictures outside and inside are beautiful.

This venue is truly the most gorgeous venue I’ve ever seen with beautiful grounds that made for the best colorful and perfect fall ceremony by the large pond. The reception hall is equally as beautiful and spacious which made for an amazing time dancing and celebrating with our guests. The three owners all own wedding industry businesses outside of the venue and therefore bring so much experience and knowledge with them to run the venue which meant everything was so smooth and so well thought out. Jennifer was so great about being quick to respond and answer any questions, even at the last minute. I truly couldn’t imagine myself getting married anywhere else. I couldn’t recommend Sun Valley more!

If you are looking for a wedding venue that makes you feel like you are at home on your wedding day, Sun Valley is the place for you! From the beautifully modern space and bridal sweet to the stunning outdoor scenery, this was the PERFECT place for my husband and I to get married. The staff was all wonderful to work with and we felt not a single ounce of stress the day of thanks to their dedication and attention to detail. The flow of the venue was perfect for the amount of guests we had. I wish we could relive this day over and over again and I have Sun Valley to thank for that!!

Sun Valley is a fantastic wedding venue. The indoor space is beautiful - it’s newly renovated, modern and spacious. The connected covered patio is perfect for guests to hang out and get fresh air. The glam suite is perfect for the ladies to get ready in. You get to design your layout exactly how you want it, which is a nice touch!The surrounding 25 acre property is absolutely gorgeous and is perfect for pictures.Sun Valley’s communication is top notch! They are quick to respond to any email inquiry, and are happy to jump on a phone call at any point during the process to go over anything. The 3 owners have so much collective experience in the industry and are quick to offer suggestions and ideas to help you along the process. They will also embrace any ideas and visions you may have, to help make your wedding exactly how you envision it!This “one stop shop” is perfect for a combined ceremony and reception like we did (though, just the ceremony would be great too!). We couldn’t recommend Sun Valley enough!

Sun Valley is the perfect place to have your wedding. They have connections to DJs, photographers, florists ,and other vendors you may need to get in contact with. Everyone there is super nice and helpful for anything you may need throughout the wedding planning process. The venue inside and the space outside is beautiful and perfect for guests to be able to roam around. It is a nice, quiet, and secluded area that is also the perfect space for some nature photos outside by the ponds. I would highly recommend this venue to anyone looking!

Picking Sun Valley as our venue was one of the easiest decisions during wedding planning! We fell in love as soon as we walked on the property. The grounds are beautiful and the size and space was perfect for our wedding. We received so many compliments from all of our guests!Jennifer was super responsive and great to work with. She helped answer all of my questions and always made sure we had what we need. The only negative thing is that they did allow a venue tour during the morning of our wedding while we were getting ready. But other then that, we have no complaints. We would recommend Sun Valley in a heartbeat!

Picking Sun Valley as our venue was one of the easiest decisions during wedding planning! We fell in love as soon as we walked on the property. The grounds are beautiful and the size and space was perfect for our wedding. We received so many compliments from all of our guests!Jennifer was super responsive and great to work with. She helped answer all of my questions and always made sure we had what we need. We had an amazing wedding this last weekend. We received compliments all night of how gorgeous the venue was. The team was very much on top of everything leading up to our big day and we felt very well taken care of throughout the night. Rachel was our facility manager and she has a gift of being intuitive and ten steps ahead of everyone else in making sure everything went smoothly. We were one of many couples that postponed their wedding last year, but everyone we communicated with during the the process was kind and accommodating. Note to brides who always envisioned an outdoor ceremony but can't predict the weather...I was bummed moving the ceremony indoors due to potential rain, but the ceremony space indoors was just as good of a back up and so much more amazing than I could ever have imagined when it all came together. I highly recommend!

Sun Valley is a beautiful venue, inside and out—however, this was one of the only positives to having our wedding at Sun Valley. Our wedding was at Sun Valley in May 2021. What should have been the most special part of our day was ruined by poor and unprofessional management at the venue. Our “first look” was interrupted and ruined by a group touring the venue and being led around by one of the owners. They were 15 feet away from us during this moment. Despite the photographer asking them to please move (which should have been common sense, as it was evident what was happening), the group of 6-7 complete strangers is in the background of most all of our first look photos. To add more detail to this, there were 4 separate groups of potential couples with their families touring through the venue throughout our wedding day (prior the wedding but while we were there getting ready, taking pictures, etc.). This was our biggest complaint and if we had known, would not have choose Sun Valley as our venue. Another situation which affected our opinion of Sun Valley was 2 people on their staff ate our extra (paid for by us as they were for no-show guests) meals which the caterer had boxed for us to take home. Sun Valley’s response to this was it’s in their contract with the caterer to be provided free meals, however when we followed up with the caterer, they had no idea and confirmed these were ours and they were not aware they were to provide free meals to venue staff. Even after this, Sun Valley did nothing to make this right for us or apologize. This was an on-going theme working with Sun Valley, accountability and professionalism was almost always lacking. We are easy to work with and would highly recommend all of the other vendors we worked with (photography, videography, officiant, planner, DJ, catering, florist, etc.) except for our venue, Sun Valley.

My husband and I were fortunate to be the FIRST wedding at Sun Valley under the ownership of Jennifer, Scott and Melissa and, although I never thought I'd say this, we have Covid-19 to thank for that!As was the case with so many other couples planning a 2020 wedding, Covid-19 carried many challenges that almost forced us to cancel our entire wedding; however, my husband and I ultimately decided that we did not want to cancel or postpone our August 15th wedding. We had already sent out Save the Dates, invitations were printed and our vendors were all confirmed so cancelling/postponing was not an option for us. We wanted to get married on that date and Jennifer at Sun Valley helped us do just that!When our original wedding venue set some pretty strict guidelines, because of the pandemic, we decided to cancel with them and search for a new venue. We found Sun Valley online and went for a visit in early June (their August 15th wedding had postponed so they had our date available). We immediately fell in love with the country charm and feel that SV exudes. Every detail of the renovation was well thought out to accommodate any type of event; especially weddings. From the outside covered terrace -perfect for cocktail hour - to the inside chandeliers, built in bars, beautiful tile wall in the main reception area and private bridal suite, Jennifer, Scott and Melissa touched on everything! I am in the event industry and have planned many events and was blown away by this venue! Their simple touches elevated our experience as well as the experience of our guests. We have received nothing but compliments about the venue and many of our guests noted that this was one of the most beautiful places they've ever been to for a wedding.What also was comforting to us and should be comforting to someone who is in the early stages of planning is the sheer fact that Jennifer, Scott and Melissa are all industry professionals. Jennifer is a wedding planner (Heart 2 Heart Occasions), Scott is part of the Cleveland Music Group (Music/Uplighting/etc) and Melissa is a photographer (One Red Door Photography). All have been in the industry for many years and will go above and beyond to make your day special. My husband and I were fortunate to be the FIRST wedding at Sun Valley under the ownership of Jennifer, Scott and Melissa and, although I never thought I'd say this, we have Covid-19 to thank for that!As was the case with so many other couples planning a 2020 wedding, Covid-19 carried many challenges that almost forced us to cancel our entire wedding; however, my husband and I ultimately decided that we did not want to cancel or postpone our August 15th wedding. We had already sent out Save the Dates, invitations were printed and our vendors were all confirmed so cancelling/postponing was not an option for us. We wanted to get married on that date and Jennifer at Sun Valley helped us do just that!When our original wedding venue set some pretty strict guidelines, because of the pandemic, we decided to cancel with them and search for a new venue. We found Sun Valley online and went for a visit in early June (their August 15th wedding had postponed so they had our date available). We immediately fell in love with the country charm and feel that SV exudes. Every detail of the renovation was well thought out to accommodate any type of event; especially weddings. From the outside covered terrace -perfect for cocktail hour - to the inside chandeliers, built in bars, beautiful tile wall in the main reception area and private bridal suite, Jennifer, Scott and Melissa touched on everything! I am in the event industry and have planned many events and was blown away by this venue! Their simple touches elevated our experience as well as the experience of our guests. We have received nothing but compliments about the venue and many of our guests noted that this was one of the most beautiful places they've ever been to for a wedding.What also was comforting to us and should be comforting to someone who is in the early stages of planning is the sheer fact that Jennifer, Scott and Melissa are all industry professionals. Jennifer is a wedding planner (Heart 2 Heart Occasions), Scott is part of the Cleveland Music Group (Music/Uplighting/etc) and Melissa is a photographer (One Red Door Photography). All have been in the industry for many years and will go above and beyond to make your day special. I attended an event at Sun Valley at it was breathtaking! The newly renovated building is an entirely new place. The owners did a phenomenal job with the changes and executing the event. It is the perfect place for couples, guests, and even vendors because of it being vendor-owned! Melissa, Jennifer and Scott know exactly what is needed. And I love that it's secluded and has so much green space with ponds and a gazebo. I hope to be back there soon!

Sun Valley is a breath of fresh air. It’s bright, airy and welcoming from the moment you walk in the door. The grounds, oh my goodness the grounds. They are dropped in golden sunlight, with gorgeous landscaping, the pond and all of the greenery. It was breathtaking.

This venue is AMAZING!!!! It truly has everything you would want and more. You have the dream team of owners. Melissa, Jennifer and Scott are the best people to work with. They will go above and beyond to make your experience there the ABSOLUTE BEST!! It is such a beautiful and peaceful piece of property that truly feels like your own personal park. I love the options it offers with outside spots for the ceremony as well as outside under the covered patio, to the huge inside space that gives all your guests enough room to sit and dance so they aren't right on top of each other. I highly recommend checking this place out and adding it to your list of venue options!

Melissa, Scott, and Jennifer (Owner) We are the three owners of Sun Valley! We have been in and out of so many event venues, and have a unique perspective on what works (and what doesn’t) for the couples, caterers and vendors alike. We wanted to put all of that knowledge into building and operating the perfect venue. Our dream is to have a space, free of stress and drama, where everyone is excited to be, regardless of the role you play in a wedding. Welcome to Sun Valley!
