Wedding Review- Incredible staff, wedding coordinator and atmosphere. My Christmas/winter wedding dreams were brought to life with the breathtaking venue as the centerpiece to my vision. The venue also catered our meal and everything is locally grown and made from scratch so I was able to personalize/alter the menu to my taste. Highly recommend the mash potatoes and the mac and cheese (AMAZING!).Shoutout to Moody Blooms for gorgeous flowers as well!

Wedding Review- Incredible staff, wedding coordinator and atmosphere. My Christmas/winter wedding dreams were brought to life with the breathtaking venue as the centerpiece to my vision. I recently had the pleasure of planning and coordinating a wedding at Sunflower Hill, and I must say, it was an absolute dream come true! As a wedding planner with Elegant Intentions, I was thrilled to discover this stunning venue. From the moment I arrived, I was captivated by its beauty and charm.The first thing that struck me was the easy access to everything I needed. The layout was thoughtfully designed, ensuring a seamless flow throughout the event. It made my job as a wedding planner so much more efficient, allowing me to focus on creating the perfect ambiance for the couple's special day.The bridal and groom suites were beyond my wildest dreams. These luxurious spaces provided the perfect backdrop for pre-wedding preparations. The attention to detail in the design and the amenities offered truly impressed me. It was a delight to see the joy on the faces of the couple as they got ready in these beautifully appointed suites.I cannot praise Freya and Quinn enough, along with the entire staff at Sunflower Hill. Sunflower Hill Farm is the best wedding venue in the Midwest, without a doubt!! The TOTAL package!! We worked with Frejya and Quinn at SHF to plan our wedding while we were living *out of state* and it was a BREEZE (seriously!!) SHF is a family owned business and we felt like we were a part of the family throughout our wedding planning. The whole SHF team is full of kind and friendly people and it’s clear that they all love what they do, it’s infectious to be around 🤍 We only came into town about 4 times before our wedding (each time for less than a week) and SHF was very flexible to meet us and get everything together in these meetings. Bonus, we got to visit their gorgeous farm each time, surrounded by wildflowers and rolling hills, where they serve up the best lattes and homemade treats! One visit to the farm and you’ll know it’s truly everything you could wish for your wedding. SHF provided top-tier food, bar, table decor, on-site bridal/grooms suites, bonfire pits with s’mores, and more, which saved us so much time and energy, plus everything was PHENOMENAL. Also we booked Lucy, owner of Moody Blooms and who works on SHF, for florals which is a MUST DO!! No one does florals like Lucy, she’s got a true passion for florals and she delivered the most beautiful bouquet, boutonnieres, arbor design, and table decor, better than I could have ever dreamed up 🌻 Our photographers and videographer also all commented on how easy and friendly SHF staff was to work with, which speaks volumes!! SHF provided everything we needed and more, allowing us to be fully present and in the moment our wedding day since we had full trust that everything would be perfect—and it was truly the best day of our lives!!! We cannot wait to come back and visit and are beyond thankful to have had our wedding at SHF 💛

Sunflower Hill Farm exceeded our expectations! Freyja, Rob, Quinn, Lucy and the whole staff and family were absolutely amazing. As soon as we saw the place for the first time we knew it was the perfect fit. They treated you like family and made sure that every detail was covered. They communicated well and we had no worries on our wedding day. Just a nice relaxing day with family and friends to celebrate our wedding! I would highly recommend them to anyone! We are so thankful to them for making our special day a day to remember forever.

Sunflower Hill Farm exceeded our expectations! Freyja, Rob, Quinn, Lucy and the whole staff and family were absolutely amazing. As soon as we saw the place for the first time we knew it was the perfect fit. They treated you like family and made sure that every detail was covered. They communicated well and we had no worries on our wedding day. Just a nice relaxing day with family and friends to celebrate our wedding! I would highly recommend them to anyone! Chance of rain, crazy family, and a late florist on top of normal wedding day jitters were all taken care of with no questions or issues. We highly recommend Sunflower Hill Farm. From the beginning, we were treated with respect, care, and interest. Our introduction to the venue was with Rob, and he was very communicative and professional. He and his family love their place and sharing it with others. As he and Quinn became busier with the birth of their baby, Freyja joined the team and continued the same interaction style. She enjoys weddings and helping to make the day special for each couple. They go the extra mile (shout out to Rob for our end of the night rescue!) to take care of you and your guests. They were very helpful in planning for how to accommodate our guests with physical disabilities. The venue is very quiet, peaceful, and private. Parking is safe and secure. The farmhouse is beautiful, spacious, clean, and very comfortable. The cats are super friendly and happy to help calm your nerves by sitting in your lap. The chickens are fun to watch and look great in photos. The food served by the on site chef was quite tasty, and we were able to make adjustments for our guests with dietary needs. Support staff was polite, professional, and very efficient. We had perfect weather for our wedding day, but they do have the ability to easily convert the space if it is raining or cold outside.We’re so pleased we had our wedding here!

You won't regret going with this venue! It's in a gorgeous, peaceful location. Freyja, the wedding coordinator, is amazing to work with. She was creative and flexible when we needed it most. Freyja was extremely helpful in the planning phase and was always willing to work to accomodate any requests we had. The food was excellent and the service the night of the event was great. We had some guests with specific dietary needs and they worked with us to make sure they were satisfied with their choices. Beautiful venue, overall really wonderful experience.

Rob, Freyja, and all of the staff were 5 stars to work with. Everything ran like a well oiled machine, we didn't have to worry about anything the day of except bringing what we needed. We used the inhouse catering and the food was fantastic! I would recommend anyone looking for an outdoor venue to consider them. Our guests all loved the venue and everyone we saw afterward said that we picked such a beautiful place to get married. It was so stress free to just have everything on site and everyone took great care of us at every turn. Every question that we asked was answered within a reasonable time frame, they were happy to work with us to make sure that our wedding was what we wanted. Having the whole property was also so helpful for us and our guests. If you are looking for a beautiful outdoor space with built in back up plans and friendly, wonderful staff, you will find it in Sunflower Hill Farms!

Our experience at Sunflower Hill Farms was outstanding. From the first time we visited to the end of the wedding, everyone was friendly, helpful and went over the top with their service. The staff was thoughtful. professional and hard-working. They attended to every detail and accommodation with care. Any issue that arose was solved quickly and by the guidance of the bride's wishes. Every time we ran into one of their employees during the reception we were asked if there was anything they could do, but there really was not because they were on top of everything. The location is beautiful and modern in a very casual way. We would 100% recommend Sunflower Hill Farms to anyone who is looking for the perfect wedding and reception.

There aren't words to describe how amazing the staff was at Sunflower Hill Farm! Everything they do out there is magical. Months later, we are still getting resounding comments about how beautiful our venue was. My husband and I primarily worked with Quinn, who was professional, organized, and kind throughout the entire planning process. She also answered my many, many questions leading up to the wedding day. We can't imagine having had our wedding anywhere other than SHF - it truly is a magical oasis right outside St. Louis. Thank you so much for giving us the wedding of our dreams! ❤️ We can't wait to come visit the cafe soon.

We wanted to have our ceremony and reception at one location and wanted it to be outdoors. Sunflower couldn't have been a more perfect choice. I loved that even though we had one location for our ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception, they were each held at different beautiful spots on the property which provided some versatility. The staff was fantastic as well. They assisted with every detail of our wedding, from ceremony coordination to table decor. Each inch of the picturesque property provides a stunning backdrop for pictures on your big day. Carla (the day-of wedding coordinator on site) helped us with all of our wedding planning needs each step of the way. Unfortunately it rained on our wedding day, but I felt 100% at ease knowing Carla + her team were in charge. Everything ran so smoothly and they accommodated all of our last minute changes due to the weather. Our guests are still raving about the beauty of the venue, the delicious food (catered by their onsite culinary team), and the friendly staff. You will NOT be disappointed by this venue!! An absolute dream come true!

Hands down, Sunflower Hill Farm is the perfect venue for a wedding. From the picturesque landscape which provides stunning backdrops for photos, to its modern amenities in a country setting, we could not have been happier to host friends and family at SHF. Not only are the 360 views of the property amazing, but so is the staff. From start to finish, Carla and her team made our experience seamless. They were so easy to work with, and we knew from the first day we visited SHF that our experience was going to be special. And it was!

I can't even begin to express how happy I was with Sunflower Hill Farm. The venue is incredible, with all the amenities you could need on site. Carla and Quinn are both amazing coordinators, and they took care of EVERYTHING I could have ever needed. They made my day go so smoothly, and anticipated anything I could need. They were both so easy to communicate with, and they were always supportive and compassionate. I couldn't have asked for a better team, and a more beautiful venue. Everything went incredibly smoothly, and I got so many complements on how lovely the venue was. I would heartily recommend Sunflower Hill Farm for any event you have, or just to stop in the cafe for a visit to take in the beautiful atmosphere.

I can't even begin to express how happy I was with Sunflower Hill Farm. The venue is incredible, with all the amenities you could need on site. Carla and Quinn are both amazing coordinators, and they took care of EVERYTHING I could have ever needed. They made my day go so smoothly, and anticipated anything I could need. They were both so easy to communicate with, and they were always supportive and compassionate. I couldn't have asked for a better team, and a more beautiful venue. Everything went incredibly smoothly, and I got so many complements on how lovely the venue was. Sunflower Hill Farm was an exceptional wedding reception venue. The grounds and landscaping were meticulously and perfectly maintained and every detail was set perfectly. Carla and her staff were so helpful and attentive and definitely went above and beyond to make sure there were no issues. Where do we start!?! If you’re seeking some place unique, this is it! Right down to the free range chickens! This amazing and beautiful venue is a gem less than 30 minutes from St Louis. Farm fresh and locally sourced foods, prepared with heart and care. Gorgeous gardens, amazing lodging for the wedding party and picture perfect settings for receptions and dinner that are a just-right blend of indoor and al fresco. Our event coordinator, Carla Chitwood, worked diligently with us over our near year of planning. She gave personal attention to each detail to help ensure an event that our guests still rave about. Even our dance! Guests of all ages loved the s’mores at the three grand fire pits. Set in an old quarry on the property, the fire pit area makes you feel as if you’re at a rustic European villa. Carla also worked with our budget to provide a fabulous experience that didn’t break the bank. We love Sunflower Hill and return as often as possible for meals and farm-to-table events. If you’re looking for that special venue suitable for anytime of the year, Sunflower Hill is it! 💕❤️

Sunflower Hill Farm was truly our dream venue!! Carla and the team were so accommodating, flexible, and just a pleasure to work with. Carla was quick to respond to all my emails, questions, and concerns which made planning on my part smooth and low-stress without a planner or coordinator. She made a whole timeline of the day which I was able to give to my vendors so that everything was seamless the day of. Sunflower Hill Farm is the best wedding venue!! The reception area, ceremony venue, and house are so beautiful. Karen, the owner, has created such a lovely space for all kinds of events. The staff is truly what sets Sunflower apart from all others. From the very beginning of the planning process, Carla and Karen made me feel so secure in my decisions. They helped me through any questions I had. My mom and I became friends with them throughout the whole process. They treated us like family anytime we asked to walk through the property. When cover happened and couples started rescheduling their weddings, Carla called me right away to reserve a back up date. The day of my wedding, I was not worried about a thing because I knew that the staff at SHF would take care of it. I absolutely recommend this venue to anyone!

We used Sunflower Hill Farm for our wedding ceremony and reception. Everyone at SHF works so hard for their customers/events. We had an easy time with the planning thanks to their staff, and the day of we hardly had to worry about anything. Book this venue as fast as you can! Our covid wedding planning changed from June 2020 to April 2021. Carla and everyone at Sunflower were so wonderful to work with. Not only did we change seasons, the day of the wedding there was horrible weather and everything planned for outside became an indoor event. There was no stress in how the design and flow of the wedding proceeded. It could not have been more beautiful. I would also recommend renting the house for the night before your wedding as that made all the difference in the “day of” enjoyment. The entire crew from landscaping, prep and day of servicing can not be outdone by any other wedding facility. By the way, they may call this a barn but it’s not like any barn I ever saw on a farm! ;)Wish there was a ranking higher than five stars.

Sunflower Hill Farm has a special place on our hearts. Planning a wedding during a global pandemic was not exactly what we had in mind. However, the crew at Sunflower Hill Farm was extremely flexible and supportive throughout the process. Their property is absolutely breathtaking. We chose their wedding weekend package, to be able to enjoy the venue for 3 days. It was easily the best decision we made! We felt like we were on vacation and now we have the sweetest memories to treasure forever! Throughout the process we have really grown to love the staff at Sunflower Hill Farm as family. We can’t thank them enough for putting their heart and souls into the work they do. We wouldn’t have changed one thing about our experience. Our wedding day was a DREAM because of them!

We had the most lovely wedding in September 2020. The weather was 70 and sunny, and SHF was the perfect venue for us. SO many guests were so impressed with how spacious it felt and how friendly the staff were. The outdoor ceremony space was gorgeous, the indoor/outdoor combo for our actual dinner was incredible. I had guests say they wanted to come back to SHF on their own time and have a party there! Carla, the main coordinator that worked with us from day one was wonderful. She is kind, punctual, easy to work with, willing to listen to your ideas, and even during a pandemic- our wedding went so smoothly. Bonus- The “party cove” with three giant fire pits were a mega hit with my guests too! We had s’mores for the guests, and I can honestly say this venue will make your wedding dreams come true. The venue is private, but still easy to get to. It’s in Augusta, MO with tons of air bnbs for your guest to stay too! We also had our rehearsal dinner here and the food was SO good!!!! I will recommend this gorgeous place always.

The best and most beautiful venue you could ask for. Looking for venues was a little tough because I would see pictures of them and then be instantly disappointed by them in real life. Sunflower Hill was our last tour because it was my favorite that I had found and I was a little nervous I would be disappointed like the others. I am so happy that it was everything you see in the pictures and more. The staff there are so friendly, helpful and really go above and beyond to make sure you have the best experience. Getting married in 2020 was a little tricky because of everything going on but the venue was more than willing to let us have an intimate ceremony with just immediate family in the spring on our original date and then change our date to the fall with no hesitation. Both days were amazing and I honestly wish I could redo them both, not because anything went wrong but because I simply had the best wedding I could have asked for. We received SO many compliments about the venue and staff just like I knew we would. Carla, Quinn and the rest of the staff put up with so much and I am so thankful for everything they did. Be sure to book with Sunflower Hill Farm before they are all booked up because I know they will be!!

The Sunflower Hill Farm staff worked tirelessly to make our wedding day perfect despite all the changes and stresses that COVID-19 brought. They answered phone calls and emails, worked with us to amend our plans and institute safety measures, and were both professional and personable throughout the entire process. It felt like they were just as dedicated to our wedding (and postponed celebration) as we were! Carla, Rob, and the whole team at SHF are genuinely wonderful and exactly the kind of people you want to be part of such an important day. Knowing their team was there to handle last-minute details, direct vendors, and ready to execute multiple backup plans in the unpredictable MO weather was such a gift and allowed us to focus on just enjoying our day. We are so grateful and would wholeheartedly recommend this venue to anyone!

We would recommend anyone and everyone to get married at Sunflower Hill Farm. Carla was such a joy to work with and the entire process from start to finish was stress-free and flawless. To begin the process at Sunflower Hill Farm you meet with Carla who is the event coordinator. Upon arrival to the Farm , you are merely awe-struck and taken back by the beauty and serenity of the property. It is clearly visible that they have poured their hearts, sweat, and money into ensuring this property is spectacular. After touring the grounds it was clear to my now wife Amy and I that this is where we wanted to get married. Rob, the owner's son, and Carla the event coordinator were easy to get ahold of, and were very attentive to any concerns or suggestions that we proposed. For the catering, they have an exclusive agreement with Chef Lee, he will provide a sampling menu accompanied with a wine tasting to tailor to your reception. Amy and I chose a seated dinner, and had the chicken bruschetta. I have never had a better wedding meal in my life. The chicken cut like it was pulled pork. They also offer varying packages for hors d'oeuvres and accompanying sides for the meal. As the day went on, your mind is going a thousand miles a minute to soak up every memory, however one that Amy and I keep coming back to is just how friendly the staff members at the farm were. Every employee had a smile on their face and said congratulations, or offered to get anything that Amy and I asked for. The smiles or pleasantries were not forced, they were genuinely enjoying their work, and that for me made a memorable impression. To reiterate, the Sunflower Hill Farm has an amazing staff, most notable Rob (Karen's son, who helps with reception vendors, knows the grounds inside and out, helps with the logistics of running a smooth wedding), Carla the event coordinator, who was the main contact for contract questions, addendums, helps coordinate the tasting, and the final walk through of the venus. We also felt a close connection with Karen (the owner), as she was previously a nurse, just like Amy and I. It was all the little special connections, and hard work that made our wedding day quite literally the best day of our old lives and new lives. The house was the perfect place for the girls (and guys) to get ready. The wrap around porch and Chip and Joanna-like feel of the house made BEAUTIFUL pictures. The outdoor ceremony space is simple, but gorgeous. The barn was so perfect for our wedding. It had just enough room for all of our guests, including some space outside. When a GIANT wind gust came through during our reception, the barn doors were easily closed and the rain that followed was no problem. We were able to use some of Sunflower Hill Farm's decorations and they even helped us clean up the day after the wedding. All of the staff was super helpful and friendly. They made sure we had everything we needed and kept promises when there were some changes in staff.SHF is up and coming, so there were a few little details that were missed. But, I'm sure after this year SHF will be one of the top wedding venues in the St. Louis area. I could not have dreamed of getting married anywhere else. It was perfect.
