We had a wonderful experience using Sunnybrook Country Club for our son’s rehearsal dinner. The food was delicious and the staff was courteous and professional. They made sure that every detail of our rehearsal dinner was taken care of. The event space was clean and set up on time and exactly as we had discussed. Many of our guests commented on how wonderful the food was that evening. It was a beautiful evening, so we were able to make use of the outdoor patio seating as well. Thank you, Sunnybrook, for helping to make for a memorable evening!

A parent who planned a rehearsal dinner; scheduling a tasting was the most tricky, and actually, we ended up scheduling 2. I recommend asking about their most often ordered entrees to try. All staff were easy to work with and helpful. We had the banquet room which has a beautiful view to the golf course. It felt spacious for our group of 71. A very positive experience all around!

The ballroom at Sunnybrook is such a pretty space for a wedding reception. They have a pretty patio out the back doors with lights hung overhead, which overlooks the golf course. The back wall is practically floor to ceiling windows. There is so much natural light. We loved decorating the weddings at Sunnybrook.

After a frustrating year of trying to plan an event around a pandemic, we were very happy to have Sunnybrook take over most of the details. I must have sent a million emails, but they (we worked with Vanessa to plan) always responded promptly and politely. They worked with us to order kegs of our favorite beer and had great buffet options to choose from. Our guests couldn't get over how great the after-dinner french fry bar was. Our event was their first indoor party since COVID and the whole day went very smoothly; we were so impressed by their servers and coordinators (thanks, Antoinette!), who took care of everything without a hitch and knew what I needed before I asked. It's a good price for the area, there's plenty of parking, and tons of indoor and outdoor space for people to mingle. There may be a lot of country club wedding venues out there, but Sunnybrook is a good one if you want your peace of mind!

And once you book with Sunnybrook, check venue, caterer, bartender, and linens off your list! They even provide table numbers, mirrors, and tealight candles to accent your centerpieces! Jayme is AMAZING to work with---an expert in the field. She helps personalize your reception to exactly what you want regarding food, drink, room layout, timeline, etc. She is attentive to your wants/needs and PROMPT in communicating! Service was exceptional, food was delicious (and HOT for Grandpa, especially when serving 200 people at one time). Had the best experience for my wedding reception at Sunnybrook!

Our ceremony ended earlier than we expected so guests started arriving at Sunnybrook before the staff was expecting, but they quickly finished getting the room ready and were willing to open the bar early. Our guests loved having space outdoors to hang out as well. I highly recommend having your reception at Sunnybrook!

I grew up at the country club, and couldn't have imagined having my reception at any other place. They are one of the more affordable country clubs in the Grand Rapids area. Our wedding coordinator at the club was so helpful and made the process so easy. The food was great! We didn't hear any complaints. No hiccups, everything ran smoothly. Golf course is also a great backdrop for pictures!

Sunnybrook was an amazing place to have a wedding reception! Not only was it a beautiful setting but all the people who work there are absolutely fantastic! They made the planning process so easy and the execution even easier! They went above and beyond to make sure our reception was PERFECT! I used Sunnybrook Country Club for my wedding reception last summer. Like many brides, I had a formal wedding cake to feed half my guests and sheet cakes to feed the second half. The baker dropped off both the wedding cake and the sheet cakes and signed them off to Sunnybrook staff. When it came time to serve the cake Sunnybrook staff cut and served only the formal wedding cake and left the sheet cakes untouched. Because of this, some guests received pieces of cake the size of fun-sized candy bars. When unformed staff members were told about the sheet cakes by a bridesmaid they did not offer to serve the sheet cakes to guests who received very small pieces. Instead my parents were sent home with over 100 pieces of untouched cake. When asked about the incident, Sunnybrook management blamed the baker for delivering the cakes to their own incompetent Sunnybrook staff members! After several phone calls to other managers, Sunnybrook reluctantly agreed to refund the cake cutting fee for their mistake...only a couple hundred dollars, which did not make up for the 100+ plus pieces of wasted cake along with the embarrassment that came from guests receiving extremely small pieces of cake. \r\rDuring the appetizer hour, various guests had to ask that the bread baskets be refilled for the spinach dip. In the contract we signed, Sunnybrook was responsible to provide a fully stocked appetizers for one hour. When asked about this, Sunnybrook management said the bread baskets they use are too small but were unwilling to refund any of the service fee despite the poor service. \r\rI also had to ask staff to bring out the wine i requested to serve to my bridal party when I noticed that it was missing from the bridal party's appetizers. Staff said they were unaware they were supposed to bring out the wine but did eventually bring it out. I used Sunnybrook Country Club for my wedding reception last summer. Like many brides, I had a formal wedding cake to feed half my guests and sheet cakes to feed the second half. The baker dropped off both the wedding cake and the sheet cakes and signed them off to Sunnybrook staff. When it came time to serve the cake Sunnybrook staff cut and served only the formal wedding cake and left the sheet cakes untouched. Because of this, some guests received pieces of cake the size of fun-sized candy bars. When unformed staff members were told about the sheet cakes by a bridesmaid they did not offer to serve the sheet cakes to guests who received very small pieces. Instead my parents were sent home with over 100 pieces of untouched cake. When asked about the incident, Sunnybrook management blamed the baker for delivering the cakes to their own incompetent Sunnybrook staff members! After several phone calls to other managers, Sunnybrook reluctantly agreed to refund the cake cutting fee for their mistake...only a couple hundred dollars, which did not make up for the 100+ plus pieces of wasted cake along with the embarrassment that came from guests receiving extremely small pieces of cake. \r\rDuring the appetizer hour, various guests had to ask that the bread baskets be refilled for the spinach dip. In the contract we signed, Sunnybrook was responsible to provide a fully stocked appetizers for one hour. When asked about this, Sunnybrook management said the bread baskets they use are too small but were unwilling to refund any of the service fee despite the poor service. \r\rI also had to ask staff to bring out the wine i requested to serve to my bridal party when I noticed that it was missing from the bridal party's appetizers. Staff said they were unaware they were supposed to bring out the wine but did eventually bring it out. First, let me just start out by saying that we had a beautiful reception. Everything went smooth and we got several comments on how much the guests enjoyed Sunnybrook. The food was terrific, the wine and beer were flowing; everything was great.\rI don't want to be too critical, because really it was great. My frustration was in the planning process. There were a few things that just added stress to an already stressed bride. Our contract and deposit check were lost. My mom had to put a stop on the check. For our taste testing, it was scheduled for a lunch meeting, so I had to take my lunch break there. Unfortunately, when we got there the Sunnybrook coordinator was not there and the staff knew nothing about it. They covered for her and said it would only take a few minutes to get everything ready. The coordinator arrived about 40 minutes later and then we were able to proceed. Unfortunately, I hadn't planned on being there that long, so I was late to another meeting at work. Those were my only frustrations throughout. Overall everything went great.

I loved Sunnybrook Country Club. I especially enjoyed them because they worked with us to make the reception very personal. We decided to do a dessert bar with desserts made by our family, which the club allowed and it ended up being a hit! We were able to make and bring in our own centerpieces and decorations, speakers and DJ, and a home made photobooth. The food looked beautiful and was hot, the champaign toast tasted great. I had a relative complain that their table's dishes didn't look quite so clean but that was the only complaint I heard the entire night. Thanks for making my wedding so beautiful and personal!

I was married on February 5, 2011 and had our reception at Sunnybrook. The staff there were very helpful and professional leading up to our event. The night of the reception, everything was beautifully set up and exactly as I had laid it out. I highly recommend this venue!

It is a beautiful building with a beautiful golf course and lots of places for great pictures. The staff was wonderful also. They were very attentive to my needs from the minute I booked until we walked out the door after the reception.
