Chris and Jill at Tapawingo were so amazing to work with throughout the entire wedding planning process. Chris is very responsive and flexible, and Jill made a beautiful venue even more beautiful. The food was so good--all our guests were raving about it! We had both our ceremony and reception at Tapawingo, with both taking place in the banquet room. The team quickly flipped the space during cocktail hour and everything went seamlessly. We would highly recommend Tapawingo to everyone!!

Chris and Jill at Tapawingo were so amazing to work with throughout the entire wedding planning process. Chris is very responsive and flexible, and Jill made a beautiful venue even more beautiful. Wow! Chris and the entire Tapawingo team gave us the most magical evening for our ceremony and reception. The staff was so friendly and helpful, Chris was there supporting us in whatever we needed, the food was AMAZING (even better than when we did the tastings), I could go on and on about the wonderful experience we had there. They went above and beyond and we're so appreciative. I would highly recommend considering them when planning your event!

Wow! Chris and the entire Tapawingo team gave us the most magical evening for our ceremony and reception. The staff was so friendly and helpful, Chris was there supporting us in whatever we needed, the food was AMAZING (even better than when we did the tastings), I could go on and on about the wonderful experience we had there. They went above and beyond and we're so appreciative. I would highly recommend considering them when planning your event!

Chris was so great managing everything! He was super flexible on details and willing to work with whatever we needed. We even had some dietary restrictions and Chris just said \"Tell me where they sit and I'll make sure to get them a plate!\". The venue itself was beautiful and all of the tables and decorations looked great! We also got to take some golf carts out for pictures ahead of time!!

My husband and I had our wedding reception at Tapawingo on 1/29/22 and we could not be happier! It was such a pleasure working with Chris and Jill. Chris is super nice, professional and calming when you’re making super important decisions. Jill helped make my visions come to life- they provide all the centerpieces and you get to choose them- super easy and convenient! Very affordable, beautiful venue and delicious food!! Our guests had a blast and it was the best day of our lives, thanks to Chris, Jill and the rest of the Tapawingo service- top notch!!

Chris is super nice, professional and calming when you’re making super important decisions. Chris at Tapawingo was the best coordinator we could have hoped to work with. He was quick to answer all of our calls/emails when we had questions and very flexible with changes that popped up. We had our ceremony there and everything went off without a hitch thanks to his direction. The venue is beautiful indoors and out, especially now that the interior has been excellently remodeled. Lastly, the food was as phenomenal as you’d expect. Couldn’t say enough good things about the venue and Chris!

Chris at Tapawingo was the best coordinator we could have hoped to work with. He was quick to answer all of our calls/emails when we had questions and very flexible with changes that popped up. We had our ceremony there and everything went off without a hitch thanks to his direction. The venue is beautiful indoors and out, especially now that the interior has been excellently remodeled. Lastly, the food was as phenomenal as you’d expect. Couldn’t say enough good things about the venue and Chris!

Chris Whitrock was there every step of the way with tips, advice, guidelines, updates, and all the information I needed! He never made me feel foolish for asking a question and always went above and beyond to make things perfect. When I tested a video I wanted to play during the reception and it didn’t work he called in his technology team to get it working. He wouldn’t take no for an answer. He made sure I had the video that meant so much to me. The wedding reception was absolutely stunning and I got endless complements on the food and people gushed over the beautiful reception room. Thank you Tapawingo for helping an overwhelmed bride have the reception of her dreams!

If we could give more than 5 stars we would! We had so many guests say that this was such a hidden gem of St. Louis County. The food was amazing, our table settings looked beautiful, and everything ran so smoothly!

We had our ceremony and reception at Tapawingo. Everything was absolutely perfect. Chris and Jill were so helpful in planning. We brought a few things to set up and they took care of it all. The centerpieces were exactly what I wanted and looked gorgeous. The food was amazing and the bar service was excellent. We even ordered the late night pizzas and they were able to accommodate last minute adds. The guests loved the food and pizzas. Everyone raved about the whole night and about how smooth it all ran!

Chris, the event coordinator, was incredibly helpful and relaxed, helping to keep the planning process as easy as possible! He will do just about anything to help make your special day everything you want it to be and he made sure to check in with us throughout the night to make sure everything was going smoothly. Jill also did an incredible job with all of our flowers and decorations, everything turned out more perfect than I imagined! I still cannot get over how beautiful the venue and decorations were. Not to mention, the food was absolutely DELICIOUS. We were lucky enough to attend some tasting nights to choose our perfect menu and even meet some awesome vendors that we chose, who helped make our special day so amazing. All of our guests raved about how great their dinner was! We have absolutely zero complaints about this venue and the amazing staff, we’d recommend them to anyone!

I don't have words for how amazing our reception was at Tapawingo. The decorations by Jill were so amazing, and she went above and beyond to make my vision come true. Chris, the coordinator, was so relaxed and made my priorities his priorities. He was willing to do whatever we needed to make our night amazing. During the reception he checked in with us a few times (without being a burden) to make sure we didn't need anything, and he also checked in with my parents to help with anything they needed. Throughout the entire process, Chris absolutely made our night so much less stressful.On top of all of this amazing service, the PRICE of Tapawingo cannot be beat. Our reception looked like it cost a fortune, when it absolutely did not. The location is great for beautiful photos on the course, or at Laumeier Sculpture Park, which is just a mile away. If you're looking for a reception that is spectacular without the high prices of being in Downtown STL, please book Tapawingo!!

From the venue itself to the food, to the packages, we loved every part of our experience at Tapawingo and it was everything we were looking for in a venue. Chris made our day so easy to navigate and he was so responsive to any question or issue we had - we really could not have asked for a better person to work with us for such a big event in our lives. We'd recommend it x1000 to anyone looking for a beautiful venue with great views, a great sunset, amazing food, and an easy way to package up everything from decorations, to photographers, to food. We wish we could get married there every year!

Having our reception at Tapawingo was the easiest part of wedding planning, all thanks to Chris. Chris was responsive and flexible throughout the planning process. He made sure we were taken care of throughout the night. He drove us around the golf course with our photographer to take gorgeous sunset photos. He arranged for separate meals for our vegetarian guests, including a vegetarian kid's meal.Our guests loved the food - the toasted ravioli, prime rib, and late night pizza were a hit. We loved how the venue had multiple places for guests to mingle - the dance floor, the large patio, and the bar area with two large flat screen TVs. We also chose a photo booth as part of the upgrade, and it was so popular with our guests. Chris has sent us a flash drive of all the photo booth images so we can see all the fun photos of our guests. I could go on and on about how fantastic our experience was. I wish I could give Tapawingo 10 stars!

Chris and Jill made planning my wedding reception not only easy, but fun. I also liked the quarterly tastings, because you get a chance to try different foods and preview different options for table settings and arrangements. The staff was also wonderful. They were friendly and helpful with anything we needed. The golf course setting is stunning, especially at sunset. I would absolutely recommend Tapawingo to any of my friends.

One thing I would caution about is that they have an outside florist/event planner that they use for the centerpieces that are included in the pricing of the packages. She was not good at all about returning phone calls and I was disappointed in the way my centerpieces turned out because they looked absolutely nothing like the pictures I had shown her during our sit down meeting. She didn’t even use the correct flowers that we paid extra for to have her put on our wedding cake. If you have the option of going with your own florist I would highly recommend it.

I'm still getting compliments on the food and venue a month later. Chris even doubled checked on some food choice for some guests with allergies which was very accommodating about it, put our mind at ease that all our guests could enjoy the delicious food without worrying! I could not have asked for the day to go any more perfectly than it did! Tapawingo staff was great as well (only downside was that they started pulling decorations and drinks off the tables at 10:15 when the reception wasn't over until 11), but besides that they were very attentive and helpful! Everyone had so much fun at the photo booth as well that you can rent through them at such a great price! If you're looking for a gorgeous venue, with a gorgeous view and amazing food this is the place to go!

Their manager Chris Whitrock was great to work with. They were able to accommodate a date change for us and any other requests we had. We originally planned to have the ceremony outside but with the date change and not knowing what the weather would be like we had it inside, I was nervous at first not knowing but it was transformed, we still had an isle to walk down and it turned out beautiful. We had 1 vegan and 2 vegetarians and they were able to accommodate a meal for all 3 separately. My one bridesmaid who is the vegan said it was the best vegan meal she had ever had at a wedding. Overall it was perfect and I would definitely recommend this venue to anyone looking for beautiful scenery and a nice reception hall with excellent staff!

Tapawingo is an exceptional venue that 100% knows customer service and class. My wife and I booked both our ceremony and reception at Tapawingo in February of 2016. From that day forward, we could not ask for a better venue and coordinator. Chris was always a supportive, calming voice, especially during the week of the historic flood that drowned a majority of the course and surrounding roads. Each day leading up to our wedding day, he gave us reassurances that everything would be fine, and he was absolutely right. Chris responded to our calls and texts within minutes, always offered help or recommendations whenever we sought it, and went well out of his way to ensure we had the best possible experience. We cannot thank Chris and his staff enough. Tapawingo itself is a gorgeous venue. The food was outstanding and our guests made sure to let us know that it was the best food they've ever had at a wedding. From that day forward, we could not ask for a better venue and coordinator. Chris was always a supportive, calming voice, especially during the week of the historic flood that drowned a majority of the course and surrounding roads. Each day leading up to our wedding day, he gave us reassurances that everything would be fine, and he was absolutely right. Chris responded to our calls and texts within minutes, always offered help or recommendations whenever we sought it, and went well out of his way to ensure we had the best possible experience. We cannot thank Chris and his staff enough. Tapawingo itself is a gorgeous venue. The food was outstanding and our guests made sure to let us know that it was the best food they've ever had at a wedding. We could not be happier with our choice of Tapawingo and feel like we cannot express enough how enjoyable they are to work with. We're honestly blown away.

We could not have asked for more for our 10/22/16 wedding. Chris was an absolute pleasure to work with and made our day absoltely perfect. He was always available for my calls and emails and was able to accomplish all of my requests. Also, the food was AMAZING. Many of our guests work in or have owned their own restaurants and every one raved about the food being the best wedding food they had ever had. With that said, the value of what you get here is truly unmatched in the area. I cannot say enough great things, we were 100% satisfied.

We couldn't have asked for a more beautiful venue for our reception! Not to mention that the golf course made for some pretty awesome weddings party pictures with golf carts. Chris and the staff went out of their way to make sure that our wedding was beyond what we expected. The food was also amazing and our guests are still bragging about it being the best wedding food they have ever had! They were very reasonably priced and it even included basic linens, centerpieces and an open bar! I would highly recommend Tapawingo!

The food was also amazing and our guests are still bragging about it being the best wedding food they have ever had! They were very reasonably priced and it even included basic linens, centerpieces and an open bar! I would highly recommend Tapawingo!

My husband and I were recently married at the beginning of the month, and I really wanted to write my thanks to Tapawingo! It was truly a fairy tale wedding. Everything was beautifully decorated and that staff was inedible. They were professional and so nice to everyone. I had not seen the venue before the actual day, but was shown some pictures from my parents. They really wanted to go with Tapawingo because of the inclusive wedding packages. They took care of the decorating, full bar service, clean up, and made the food on site. And the FOOD...blew everyone away. I have been getting so many compliments on how delicious the buffet was. Everyone loved the food and I have had more that one guest say it was the best wedding food that had ever eaten. My husband was in heaven with the prime rib. There was more than enough for everyone! Thank you a million times Tapawingo for making our day so special.

My husband and I chose Tapawingo National Golf Club for our ceremony and reception venue and, to be honest, it was hands down the best decision we made! The golf course is absolutely beautiful and makes a perfect backdrop for photos, the patio was the right size for our 160 guest ceremony, and the clubhouse accommodated all of our guests for our cocktail hour and reception. Phil, the event coordinator, was a dream to work with! He was so personable and made my parents and I feel like we were working with a member of our own family. Chris and all of the other staff members were very nice and were willing to provide us with anything we wanted to make our special day exactly what we thought it should be. Catering is provided in house through Joe Boccardi's and is included in the all-inclusive price per guest. All of our guests raved about how great the food was and were not afraid to go back for seconds (and thirds!) All in all, if you are looking for a great space for your wedding with an awesome staff of people to work with at a VERY affordable price, this is your spot!

First of all, this venue is absolutely beautiful! You must see it in person. We used their banquet room for our wedding reception and we had so many compliments on how pretty it was. Dave & Missy are great to work with and they were also very flexible. I live out of town so much of my planning was done via email/phone and quick trips there. They always made sure I had everything I needed and were willing to work with me on decoration ideas, etc. If you are looking for a venue that is reasonably priced and is a gorgeous space, look no further. The country club is beautiful but that's it. The service is awful. As long as Dave and Missy are managing food and beverage DO NOT HAVE YOUR RECEPTION HERE! The day before my wedding when myself and the groom came to set up the food and beverage manager Dave showed up 5hours late hung-over and reeking of booze. No tables were set up, the room was still disgusting from the event the day before. My mother-in-law spent all day ironing the table cloths so that they would look half way decent. The day of my wedding, even though I had the bar area rented out, when myself and the wedding party arrived, after the cocktail hour was supposed to begin, there were drunk golfers in the bar area, heckling me on my wedding day! Also we had to open the reception area early because the golfers were eating the food that we ordered for our guests during the cocktail hour! Also as we were having our sparkler receiving line, not leaving directly, but just doing the receiving line Missy was hassling my husband to sign the credit card receipt, which apparently couldn't wait 5 min. So by the time my husband and I got to do the receiving line the sparklers were almost all burnt out, basically ruining the whole thing. Overall the service was awful (I would give negative stars if I could) and when we tried to contact the owners we were given the run around and never contacted back. DO NOT HAVE YOUR RECEPTION HERE!
