Tarrywile is an absolutely beautiful venue! We fell in love with the grounds before touring the mansion, but once we went inside, we knew this was the place for us. Loraine was so easy to work with and her enthusiasm about Tarrywile is contagious. The mansion is gorgeous and being able to have indoor and outdoor options for the ceremony and reception was ideal. Though we had hoped for an outdoor wedding, cold and rain forced our late April wedding indoors, where we were able to have an amazing ceremony inside the conservatory. Our guests loved how cozy the rooms felt and we had a wonderful experience there. Highly recommend!

When our daughter and her fiance (now husband) discussed their wedding plans, there were two things they agreed on immediately, the food and venue. Tarrywile Park was the site of their first date in 2012, and it has remained a special place in their hearts. Over the 18-month-long journey to the wedding date, the staff of Tarrywile was wonderful to work with. Loraine, the event coordinator, is a delight. She was very responsive, patient, and always took the time to thoroughly answer the many questions we had. During the week before the wedding, Loraine was a source of calm in a chaotic situation when the bride and groom contracted Covid. She worked with the day-of coordinator to change seating plans and ensure that everything would go smoothly. The venue itself, on the National Register of Historic Places, is a lovely, intimate setting for a ceremony and reception, and the grounds are meticulously maintained. Surrounded by a 722-acre public park, Tarrywile is the perfect place for a romantic wedding.

This venue is an unbelievable hidden treasure! Due to the recent pandemic my husband and I had to rearrange our wedding day plans three times... We ended up finding Tarrywile during one of our searches online and they had our wedding date available (09/26/2020) The space is huge and the price is unreal for what you receive. There are endless possibilities with how and where to set up your ceremony, reception and cocktail hour and the opportunity for beautiful pictures are endless inside and out. There is also beautiful space upstairs for the girls and guys to get ready. With all of the COVID precautions we had 26 guest so we decided to do everything on the Veranda with cocktail style tables and a live band and I couldn't have asked for more, it was so intimate and romantic. Our day was truly amazing and I cannot highlight this venue enough. I will mention it is more for a couple looking for a historical/vintage look so if your into more of a modern style I couldn't see it as an option. I worked with Ann-Marie and she was very detailed and helpful in all aspects. She was always available for meeting and answered any questions I had right up until the day of the wedding. If your in search of a COVID wedding spot this honestly checked off all the boxes! It was safe, beautiful and spacious

Great venue! Beautiful, charming, and homey. My wife and I could not have been happier with our wedding there. The staff at Tarrywile was excellent - quick to respond, transparent, and always helpful. They're there to help you along the way. We loved the grounds, and the historic elegance that the house brings. We had an August wedding, but the house was still very cool and dry (it has AC). We thought the dancing in the foyer might be a little crowded, but it was fine, so don't let that deter you. It's great because since all of the pieces of the reception are a la carte, you can make your day as casual or fancy as you'd like. If you're looking to have your reception someplace special and out of the ordinary, this is the place! 10/10

We loved having our wedding at Tarrywile! We got very lucky and had a beautiful day, so we loved the flexibility to spend time both inside the mansion and outside. We had our ceremony by the gazebo, which looked beautiful in May. Later on, we took pictures in the grounds and at the adjacent park, which was a great opportunity. The staff at Tarrywile were very helpful and accommodating, and allowed us to visit on multiple occasions prior to the wedding day. The day was absolutely perfect and we wouldn't have changed a thing. We would unhesitatingly recommend a wedding at Tarrywile.

Having our wedding at Tarrywile Park & Mansion was everything that we dreamt. The grounds were beautiful with multiple areas to hold the ceremony including under an arbor-way, at the gazebo or inside under the chandelier in the conservatory. The Mansion was perfect for our reception and provided a nice transition for our guests by having reception and ceremony at the same venue. The veranda was very roomy for cocktail hour while our caterer set everything up inside and te veranda continued to get plenty of use throughout the night. The bride and groom suites where also a nice touch where the wedding party can get ready as well as escape from the crowd to get a little breathing room. The grounds are also perfect for engagement photos and wedding photos since there are many landscape elements, plantings as well as a cliff which provides a nice backdrop for any photo. Overall this venue was perfect and really helped our dream wedding come true.

The venue was amazing and perfect for our wedding. The house made our wedding feel more homey and there is so much character, we barely had to decorate! We got some great first look photo's in the open field and the grape arbor was a gorgeous place for our ceremony! The venue comes with tables and chairs which is nice. My only complaint is that the chairs are conference chairs with green fabric, so if you do want to use them, you need to buy chair covers. We ended up renting nice chairs, which increased the price, but was totally worth it to bring everything together!

Our wedding at the Tarrywile was unforgettable! The staff were very responsive to our questions and worked hand in hand with our vendors. It rained on our wedding day so it was comforting to know there were indoor and outdoor options.The location is amazing, and offers a lot of different options for photos. The mansion with its individual rooms made our wedding feel intimate and special. We did not have to decorate much because the interior is so beautiful. Really recommend if you are looking for a vintage themed wedding!

It rained on our wedding day so it was comforting to know there were indoor and outdoor options.The location is amazing, and offers a lot of different options for photos. The mansion with its individual rooms made our wedding feel intimate and special. We did not have to decorate much because the interior is so beautiful. The park has so many amazing landscapes to take advantage of and we definitely did! We have our ceremony outdoors under the grape arbor and reception under a beautiful tent. Our wedding was everything anyone could wish for and we are so happy we went with this venue! :-)

Having our wedding reception at Tarrywile Park & Mansion was undoubtedly one of the best decisions we made about our wedding day. The park is beyond gorgeous, and the mansion itself is so beautiful inside it hardly needed any decorations the day of. We chose to have our cocktail hour inside the mansion and brought in a tent to put on one of the lawns for dinner and dancing. Anne was so helpful during leading up to the wedding and was always timely with her responses, and patient with us as we figured out the logistics of the day. On the wedding day, so many people complimented the venue and told us how beautiful it was. Because Tarrywile is not a \"wedding factory\" type venue, you have to do a little bit more of the planning yourself, but it is so worth it to have such a UNIQUE and customize-able place. Do not hesitate to have your wedding here!!!

We got married this past June 24th at Tarrywile mansion and my experience was absolutely wonderful. We came to Tarrywile in early May because our previous venue had been accidentally double booked and we were panicking! Tarrywile not only had our date available, but helped us expedite the process and ease our worried minds. They are extremely flexible and very caring. I was able to have my dream wedding at Tarrywile. From the moment I stepped foot in the building I was able to see myself and my family celebrating and enjoying ourselves there. The building and grounds are beautiful during every season, making decorating a breeze as very few additional decorations are needed. The separate dining rooms and dance floor in the entry hall provide unique venue for any celebration and made it feel like we were having a party in someone’s home. The staff at Tarrywile also made our day more enjoyable by being available for any questions and concerns we had leading up to our wedding.

I was able to have my dream wedding at Tarrywile. From the moment I stepped foot in the building I was able to see myself and my family celebrating and enjoying ourselves there. The building and grounds are beautiful during every season, making decorating a breeze as very few additional decorations are needed. The separate dining rooms and dance floor in the entry hall provide unique venue for any celebration and made it feel like we were having a party in someone’s home. The staff at Tarrywile also made our day more enjoyable by being available for any questions and concerns we had leading up to our wedding.

We just had the most romantic, fantastic wedding ever at Tarrywile Mansion. I can't say enough how wonderful the setting was, and how many of my guests gushed about the mansion, grounds, and especially the veranda. We had our ceremony under the grape arbor right before dusk. It needed no extra ornaments, it was so beautiful as is. Our bagpiper played to the side as guests mingled and took their seats, and he roamed the grounds playing while they adjourned to the veranda for cocktail hour. We took some of the prettiest fall photos with our photographer on the grounds and after dark , inside the conservatory! We light it and the veranda up with tinkling lights and it was just...perfection. We used the various rooms inside the mansion and on the veranda to fit our 100 guests, and it was so intimate! Everyone gathered in the foyer to watch our first dance and to see us descend the stairs and be announced. The kitchens our caterer used (Red Pepper Diner) were clean, spacious, and professional. He made all our food on site and it was so flavorful and delicious! Honestly, I will carry the memories we made forever...Tarrywile was my first choice, and we were so lucky to have been able to have our wedding here. You couldn't do any better!

Tarrywile Park and Mansion is THE place to get married! We decided on Tarrywile because of its beautiful outdoor features, including the grape arbor we had the ceremony under, the gazebo we took photos at, or the small pond that we took our engagement photos at. Besides the scenery, Tarrywile is really the place you can customize your wedding. You can use their preferred list of caterers, photographers, and other vendors, but you can also make it your own, off their list. We decided to use 2 different foot trucks, and with Tarrywile's flexibility, we were really able to make our wedding exactly what we wanted. One thing I do suggest is to use a set up/clean up/wait staff service that comes before, helps throughout and cleans up for you. I highly recommend the service we used, JLS Bartending and Special event services (Jessica Smith; jesssmith06.js@gmail.com- found on Thumbtack- https://www.thumbtack.com/ct/norwalk/food-services/catering-event-coordinating). We set the hours they came and left (9am-8pm) and they did absolutely everything for us (set up tables, including the cloths, plates, etc., brought food to the guests, everything!). Don't think twice about Tarrywile- it's the way to go!

Where do I begin?! Tarrywile was the absolute perfect venue for our vintage wedding. Wedding date was May 20 for 90 guests. Flowers were in bloom and landscaping was well kept. Anne-Marie and staff were responsive to emails and calls. They even accommodated for my family and planner to be able to decorate the day before. We went with all their vendor recommendations and were not let done at all.I got endless compliments on our venue choice. It felt intimate and welcoming, like you were celebrating at someones home. Not your basic hall or barn wedding. Tarrywile gave our wedding a unique and timeless feel.

I am a graduate student, and my husband was also in school while we were planning the wedding. We wanted a quality location for a reasonable price, and Tarrywile was the best choice in the Danbury area. We had a garden-themed wedding. The grape arbor was a perfect ceremony site. All of our pictures look lush and colorful. \r\rWe had about 100 guests, which is a little tight in the mansion. Get creative, and plan to transition rooms. We turned the conservatory into the dance room. Guests loved that there was both a space for party and space for quieter talking outside. \r\rThe mansion was free on the day before the wedding and we (our family & friends) were therefore allowed to decorate a day early. I'm not sure how we would have pulled it off without this time. Thank you Tarrywile!

This vendor is well priced and the events coordinator was a pleasure to work with. I would highly recommend renting Tarrywile Park & Mansion for your future event, or just visit to hike and enjoy nature at it finest!

Then our cocktail hour was on the veranda which was also very nice. Then our reception was inside the mansion. So many people complimented us on what a beautiful mansion it was, and wanted to know how we had found out about Tarrywile. My husband and I also love hiking the trails. Becky and Anne Marie are so wonderful to work with, and are willing to do so much for the brides. This venue is affordable and is much more unique than a standard banquet hall.
