Award Winning Cuisine, Spectacular Views, Impeccable Service
All our ballrooms feature floor to ceiling windows with unforgettable views, our Penthouse boasts an adjoining outdoor rooftop reception chapel area in a garden setting.
Absolutely lovely! My son and his bride had their reception here in July and it was beyond our expectations. The venue itself looked gorgeous. We had the regency room which looked perfectly elegant, only enhanced by the stunning views of the NYC skyline. Our guests , many who traveled from all over the country , are still talking about that view and the beautiful space. Our guests loved the cocktail hour in the wood toned bar area , it even included a warm buffet! The dinner was fantastic- Terrace on the Park knows what they are doing. Everything cooked to order and it was delicious. Many guests remarked on the quality and presentation. The whole event was very well staffed and they were 100% professional and attentive to every need. On top of the regular staff, you have a maitre D and a bridal attendant who never leaves their side ! One guest commented,” this place really takes good care of you “! The evening was timed beautifully, the cake ( delicious, gorgeous, and included in the price !) and a desert buffet all right on time. I would like to say that the whole process from beginning to end was a pleasure. We worked with Mildred and Nicole and both were experienced professionals and just lovely to deal with Many of our guests are saying that this is one of the best weddings they have attended in ages. Terrace on the Park is a historical gem still doing weddings in a classic , elegant way and we will be forever grateful. Reviewed on 13-08-2023

Terrace on the Park was a lovely venue for our Korean/Salvadoran wedding! The Penthouse allowed us to have a wonderful rooftop ceremony and our guests loved talking photographs of the golden hour glow with the Manhattan skyline as a backdrop. From the beginning of the process Mildred was thoughtful in answering our questions and welcomed us and our family members for multiple visits and walkthroughs. Our banquet manager, Oscar, closer to the day of the wedding was very helpful as were our Maitre D, bridal assistant, and staff on the day of the event. We chose to use their preferred Korean vendor to cater our even and they went above and beyond in attending to us, our family members, and our guests. We continue to be in awe of Terrace on the Park and can’t thank you enough for making our wedding day so memorable! Reviewed on 05-09-2023

Ericka Rosado was instrumental in assisting in the catering aspect of the evening. The food was exceptional. Many guests commented on the dishes provided. THIS IS WHERE YOU GET MARRIED!Ask for Renee Letterel and her closer, Nicole. While we are sure there are others who are just as capable and competent - these two women were hands down nothing short of perfection AND both have had their receptions in the penthouse! From the minute we met to the day we said \"I DO\" they were with us all the way. You could call with the most random questions, they had the answer and they would walk you though it all. You would hang up the phone thinking, \"we got this\".The food was exceptional and plenty of it. We had the top of the line menu, top shelf bar and sprung for a 2 hour cocktail party. The staff was spot on, every single server was pleasant, kind, attentive and fun. Don't bother wasting your time looking any place else, get the rooftop and penthouse and you will not be sorry. This is the most picturesque place to be, you can't take a bad photo, the views are spectacular with the Manhattan Skyline, Citi Field, US Open, World's Fair Unisphere & the Queens Museum to name a few. It just goes on and on. The penthouse and rooftop need no decorating, it is beautiful as is.It has been a little more than 3 weeks since the very best day of our lives and we are still hearing from our guests that it was the best wedding they had ever attended. Our friends keep saying it was the best time they have had and are anxious for a vow renewal! Reviewed on 09-08-2023

Being in our own backyard, Terrace on the Park ended up being the final venue of 11 that my wife and I viewed – and once we went there we knew our search was over and we had found the one. The rooftop and penthouse ballroom were jaw dropping, even in November when the weather wasn’t exactly perfect. They were flexible when it came to dates and minimums, as the penthouse usually is reserved for a specific number of guests, but accommodated us based on our needs and worked with us on an open date in the time of year we wanted. From the start of the process, Renee was professional and open. We discussed food tastings (of which we did two, one private, and one public with many vendors as well) and specifics we needed for our guests, about half of whom would be vegetarian. Renee was able to give us flexibility with menu items and access to the chef to be able to speak with him at our private tasting. When we asked about specifics (like putting pierogi onto the table for our fusion wedding) she accommodated that. We were also able to get an extra 30 minutes for our gorgeous rooftop ceremony. Once the day arrived, the staff and venue were amazing and gracious. The food was impeccable and the guests all praised the cocktail hour food (a nice blend of tastes for our guests, including specific menu items we requested) and the FIVE (yes, five) dinner options that came with the menu. The dessert hour was also amazing, which included an ice cream bar and also little chocolate shot glasses for sweet shots and desserts. All in all, Terrace on the Park isn’t your average “wedding factory” – they take care of all the details, work with you and your planner, and make you really feel like they want your day to be memorable and unforgettable. For us, we will never be able to drive on the Long Island Expressway or bike through Flushing Meadow Park without looking up at Terrace and being reminded of the fond memories we made. They will last a lifetime, and we couldn’t recommend them more for your special day. Reviewed on 16-07-2023
Christian P(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 22-04-2023 We just had our wedding at Terrace at the Park last Saturday (end of April 2023, for future readers), and we could not be happier with our choice of venue!! Even in NYC, planning a same sex wedding is stressful because you never know the kind of responses and interactions you will receive when inquiring about a venue. Every single person we worked with along the way from Ken (the banquet manager) to Nicole (our finalization manager) to Katrina (our maitre'd) - was simply phenomenal! We felt so respected and cared for every single time we reached out with a question -- and trust me, I reached out ALOT. :-)The entire staff at Terrace on the Park accommodated our whopping 230+ guests with grace and a smile. Even the day of the wedding, we had booked the Penthouse Terrace to enjoy our ceremony and cocktail hour outside, was a last minute change due to April rain showers. At 3:30pm that day, we were called and changes were made to make the day go as smoothly as possible since we had to move the cocktail hour indoors - and honestly was even better than we could have imagined. So many people told us after how amazing the staff was and how quickly they got them anything they needed immediately. Please check out this awesome venue and wonderful staff. I am not sharing photos from the reception for privacy for our guests, but look at how gorgeous the reception penthouse ballroom is. A++++ all the way! THANK YOU!!! Reviewed on 04-05-2023
Gabriela Plaza-Santiago(bride)4 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 19-01-2023 Honestly, I love the service and hospitality of all the staff there but if you decide to book them PLEASE keep in mind that not ALL of the staff is great. We were supposed to have maître d’s to begin at 2:30pm with food for my bridal party and they did not begin at that time. In fact there was none on site. They inform you that tip is not mandatory but they will also request there tip as soon as your event begins. Personally, I like to give a tip after everything is said and done so if I feel you deserve more than the suggested amount, I will gladly give it but because our coordinating manager was consistently roaming around, I just gave the amount they “suggested”. The general manager Bruno was amazing with handling last minute issues and helping me relax as much as possible. I would have over looked all of these little things but I am still bothered by one major detail. When my bridal party and I showed up, we were under the intention that we had one bridal suite to ourselves. NO ONE informed us that it was under construction. Not even the receptionist. We had to be moved to another bridal suite and that forced us to be wayyy behind schedule. If you booked them please keep these things in mind. The price is great, the food is great, and SOME stuff are wonderful but is it worth 5 stars. Unfortunately, no. Reviewed on 28-01-2023
Paula R(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 10-11-2022 What a great place to have a wedding. Ken was my banquet manager and was great with communication and setting up my contract. Always professional when responding to my endless emails of questions. Nicole was my finalist manager and she is a queen of details. Super sweet and very organized! They never pushed for upgrades nor made me feel pressured into anything I wasn't sure of. I did choose a few upgrades, one being the prime rib for a dinner choice. Please, if you are a red meat fan and want to wow your guests, order the prime rib. The portions were super generous and was melt in the mouth. It's an upgrade but money well spent. The pretzels and chorros to go food stations were a hit especially with out of town guests! I had a dessert bar which was also amazing. They worked with elite pastries as part of my package and I had the most amazing cake for a steal of a price. Most of the vendors I chose to work with were from their preferred list but they were happy to work with my other vendors who were not on their list. Some places force you to work only their vendors only which is a turn off for me. I shall say the vendors on their list are amazing, most notable bravo sounds. I had a limited budget and Ken was willing to work with me to make my dreams a reality. Everyone thought I paid double atleast. Being married during the aftermath of the pandemic was tricky, but terrace on the park made it feel effortless. And the staff! Wonderful and polite. The wait staff, the bartender, the coat check and bathroom attendants all cheerful and smiles all night long. My bridal attendant Ericka, such a sweetheart. There were points were I didn't even have to ask her to do something, she took care of it already and went above and beyond. Nicole the finalist manager even changed her normal working schedule just to come to oversee that the event was running smoothly. Every bride should have an experience like this. Not one guest had a complaint. Parking is plenty, even when multiple events are going on. The gardens were well maintained and looked lovely at night. Only issues I had was miscommunication with the last payment. If you are paying check and don't meet the deadline they will request a certified check. The only issue I had was them not being upfront about gratuity. I was told about it days before my wedding and felt pressured with no breakdown. Diamond Brown(bride)2 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 26-06-2022 Although this venue is very beautiful. I have not been very happy with the outcome of choosing this venue. I visited this venue back in august and at the time I was working with the banquet manager Jennifer Fulgeri. We spoke and I made very clear to her that Myself and My fiancé needed to taste the food to finalize if we would be okay with using this venue. I was skeptical about making a deposit at that moment, but Ms. Jennifer assured me that I needed to hold the date that I was requesting but they would have a bridal showcase in September that would give me enough time to taste the food and make a final decision to get my money refunded and go to a different venue or stay with Terrace on the Park. September came and when we attended the bridal showcase my But neither one of our names was on the list for the food tasting a and we were unable to try the food. I reached out to Jennifer immediately by phone and email the next day and she never got back to me. Terrace also never notified me that my banquet manager was not apart of their team anymore. They waited way after and by that time I was unable to get a refund when making me aware she was not working with them any longer. As a professional place it should have been their duty to reach out to all of the people that she booked business with, notify us of her separation with the company and follow up to where we left off with her so they can assist us further. Fast forward, I was never contacted and was unable to get my money back for the venue and was not booked to taste food until now late April, and I have been disappointed with the food that we have tasted. I emailed my concerns and spoke up in regards to my concerns of how myself and my Fiancé have been handled. We were offered the opportunity to trade out dishes but none of the food that we tasted was in our favor, so how could we possibleknow that the dishes traded out would be any better. I explained how unfortunate it was that I was now forced to stay with their venue and was asked how this could be rectified on their end, and I asked if they could cut in half the price they were charging us for the extra hour and in response I was told that they could not do that. Honestly that would have been fair, or accommodating a extra hour, or giving us something extra that we both could agree on given the circumstances of poor communication they have delivered to myself and my fiancé, and the fact that I was not given the chance to reconsider and choose a different venue, after I was already hesitant and entrusted the conversation and agreement I had with the banquet manager. I am very disappointed at this point, but my wedding is in 2 months and that is a special day for me and I guess I will make the best of it. Reviewed on 28-04-2022

When researching venues we were looking for a space that could hold a large amount of guests, also a place with a lovely view. You're able to see the diversity of queens and even parts of Manhattan! The thing I love about this place is not only the hospitality and comforting guidance of the staff, but that the space could be used for small parties but it has the capacity for a very large party up to 1000 guests I believe. This drew us in and we were able to go see the venue at their bi-annual wedding expo. From there it was nothing but ease and welcoming. Also, to just mention very fair and pleasing with their rates. We were introduced to many vendors of all types. One that stuck out to us was an event planner. She happened to connect us with the staff of Terrace on the Park. Fast forward to March 2020, COVID hits. From the moment we were advised to reconsider the event date and even the event all together, even until now everyone that we have dealt with at Terrace on the Park has been nothing short of respectful, understanding, and a class act. Kristin F(bride)4 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 23-03-2019 Summary: great price for a beautiful venue and views, good food, and attentive staff!! Highly recommend for weddings and other big events. Our contract consisted of the following:-Ceremony space in the chapel (5:30-6pm)-Cocktail hour (6-7pm): 9 different passed hors d'oeuvres and a large spread of cheese, pastas, and meats; bar was open during this time-Reception (7-11pm): We chose buffet style instead of plated dinner. We got more variety of food (7 different buffet dishes) for our guests than just choosing one plate.-Premium open bar that started during cocktail hour and lasted throughout the reception-Rose Room, the minimum for this room for the evening is 175 guests (Terrace is pretty firm on their minimums. Be sure to choose a room where you're pretty sure you can meet the minimum. They won't be flexible with that) -Wedding cake, assorted desserts, chocolate fountain, coffee and tea-Once the room minimum is reached, then children under 2y/o are free, children from 2-12y/o and vendors are half price. -Terrace expects additional gratuity on the Wedding day (about $3-$4 per person) Be ready with cash and give it to your venue manager before the night begins. We chose Terrace for our wedding venue and we were very very happy with their services on our wedding day! After visiting about 5 other venues, Terrace had the best price for all they offered compared to others. The views at Terrace, especially during sunset, are unbeatable and breathtaking. There's different pricing, of course, depending on the season and whether it is an afternoon or evening wedding. George was our manager we worked with. He gave us the tour and went through the different contract options with us. We communicated with him through emails with any questions. Terrace offers space for couples to meet with their vendors and tour the venue. Since my husband and I lived far at that time, we didn't really take advantage of that benefit. About a month before our wedding, we were forwarded to Monica, the finalist manager, who reviewed our contract and ensured everything was how we envisioned. We went over lighting in the chapel for the ceremony as well as lighting in the dining room. We chose linens, the different buffet dishes, and determined the floor plan. The day of, we had 2 bridal suites, one for the women and one for the men. In each suite, we were provided with some pasta and an array of drinks as we got ready. My bridal attendant, Maritza, was great! She kept the drinks and food coming for my to-be husband and I all night! Our maitre'd, Chris, did well with staff coordination and collaborating with my DJ and MC with the reception timeline. By the end of the night, Maritza was great with packing us leftover food and desserts as well as gathering all our wedding items and putting them in our storage boxes. I really highly recommend Terrace! They were great overall. If you don't mind the potential of other parties happening on the same night as yours, then this is the place to be. They know what they're doing and definitely met our expectations for a fair price. Also for your guests, plenty of free parking! Reviewed on 25-04-2019

She made sure my husband and I were happy and fed and got whatever it was we wanted. We didn't ask for much (I hope) but she was there smiling the entire time. Our Maitre'd which was also named George, was super helpful in making sure that our event ran smoothly. And, of course George, our banquet manager was there with us every step of the way. He was there when we arrived. Took us up to the penthouse for photos outside. He stopped in on us several times throughout our event, even one of the operations managers, Francisco stopped in several times to make sure everything was great. Honestly, there is nothing I would change. Everything was as perfect as I could have wanted. From beginning to end. I am so glad that we decided on Terrace on the Park. It really was as George said \"FATE\" Reviewed on 20-11-2018

After taking the tour, we were very impressed by the venue and George’s passion for customer service and professionalism that we didn’t have to think twice and booked our day. We had our ceremony in the chapel and reception in the Regency Ballroom. Reception decorations setup by the Terrace staff exceeded expectations. Outside vendors (decorations, DJ, catering, etc.) had no problems setting up and breaking down at the venue. Joanna was super helpful day of. Andrea Campbell(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 30-08-2018 I knew I wanted something different and unique than an ordinary banquet hall on Long Island. TOTP did that for us which we got married on a Thursday night of Labor Day weekend-8/30/18. We loved the other rooms that they had, but the penthouse was the winner. It was the only room that had access to outside with the best view. Renee was our banquet manager, who did a great job with communication, setting everything up, etc. When you book the penthouse you get the Renaissance Menu which includes pretty much everything. If you want extra stations, you have to pay more but you really didn't need any more food. You get 2 stations, all the regular cocktail hour stuff you see at most weddings, a menu with 7 choices for dinner, the cake included (which by the way is from Cascon in Whitestone) and you get a Viennese hour. You also get top shelf liquor. Cascon bakery was EXCELLENT! Everyone has raved about our wedding with the views of NYC, the Queens Museum, the view of Flushing Meadows Park and of course, the World's Fair. The sunset with the city skyline is priceless. The only negative things to say were: Bridal Attendant-not so good and didn't do much/also hard to find. When the wedding was over, I saw a lot of flip flops left that I had bought for guests-when my wedding coordinator brought back all my materials from the wedding, there were only 3 pairs left. Did I care that much about extra flip flops? No, but it was just the premise of it. My wedding coordinator also brought back the baskets from the bathrooms that I made and there was nothing left, literally a few safety pins, some mints, 1 bottle of Tums and 1 bottle of hairspray. I heard there were bathroom attendants...All in all, we are very happy with the decision we made with our wedding at TOTP. The views were priceless. Reviewed on 28-10-2018
juan rosa(groom)1 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 14-09-2018 I got married here on 9/14/18. I went in last year and met with George. George show me the terrace room, sold me a pretty picture and i signed the contact. However, what George delivered was a nightmare and lies on top of lies. Where do I begin? George told me in my initial meeting that the cake was included in my package and that the food tasting and cake tasting will be done a month before my wedding. Fast forward to a month before my wedding. My fiancé and I called the venue and spoke to Nicole to find out when will the food tasting take place. She then told us that the venue only does appetizer food tasting twice a year at the expos. This wasn't what George told us. I had to argue with him to honor his word to get a private food tasting. He only blamed upper management for the mix up. The day of the private food tasting everything went by smooth. The only thing that we did not like was the salmon and Bruce the general manager stepped in and changed the salmon option to a sea bass at no charge. Bruce gave us great customer service whiteout asking questions! Move forward to a week later it's time to do the cake tasting and George neglected to tell us that the cake tasting is only done Tuesday through Thursday from 10am to 3pm. What working person has the time to take off from work during those hours to taste cake? Moreover, George neglected to tell us that the cake that is included in out package was a plain white 4 tier cake. We met with a lady by the name of Monica who was VERY sweet but worthless due to her not being able to make a decision without George. She send us a couple of pictures of decorated cakes and when we chose an option she told us no. She said the pictures does not include the flowers or accessories on the cake. It was just to select the shape of the plain white cake and filling. How do you not tell your clients this from the beginning of the contract so they can budget for an additional $300.00 or more. The problem here was the lack of communication. When we called George to express our disappointment in this he had the nerve to tell us \"It seems like everything is going wrong with your wedding\". That comment alone let us know that he didn't care about the client and only cared about the money. One week before the event, we met up with Monica, we dropped of a few items including table lines and told her and showed her pictures of how we wanted it set up and she said sure no problem. On the day of the wedding the linens were placed wrong and her and George pretty much said to us, \"all the silverware is already placed on the table and nothing can be done at this point\". Moreover, I had a conversation with George before where I told him if it was possible to serve the champagne as the guest arrived and not during the dinner, he said of course. The day of the wedding George once again failed us. He came up to me and told me \"we forgot to serve the champagne when guest arrived but will serve it throughout the entire cocktail hour\". At this point I didn't care. George had lied to us so many times that we just didn't want to see his face anymore. Reviewed on 30-09-2018

Everything went super smoothly and our bridal attendant couldn't have been better. She made sure that everything ran according to plan and also made sure that we ate. Everyone was happy with our food ( we did a variety of cuisine including Carribean, Indian, and even mini hot dogs). Vipon Kumar(parent)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 28-07-2018 We highly recommend Terrace on The Park as an outstanding venue for weddings. After having worked in global sourcing & procurement for several years, I know a thing or two about the vendor selection. Terrace and Jennifer are a perfect vendor partners and service providers. Jennifer Jolly and her team do hundreds of wedding events every year, however, I find that Jennifer has amazing sense of compassion and empathy to know that her clients are only concerned about their event. In our 14 month planning leading to our daughter’s wedding and working with Jennifer Jolly, we felt at great ease, she listened to us actively, understood our vantage point and made great suggestions. We did not hire any wedding planner as they tend to herd you to a set of vendors. Jennifer gave us a shortlist of vendors, and we found additional vendors, and vetted them ourselves, Jennifer objectively validated our choice of vendors and allowed them to provide services at Terrace on the Park. On the two days of our events (July 27-28, 2018), Jennifer made many rounds to ensure flawless execution from her Terrace team, which worked alongside our selected vendors. A daughter’s wedding is nothing less than preparing for a landing on the moon for parents. Our four events in two days were highly coordinated and Venue (Terrace on the Park) played an outstanding role in making it happen for life time of memories. knottieb91d6c259b7f53ad (bride)1 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 02-08-2019 Unfortunately, I have to write such a poor review for a beautiful place, due to rude service and poor management. My daughter had her wedding reception here a few weeks ago. She went through a turmoil with these people. Everyone was good to us until the day of the wedding. Keep in mind we even paid upfront the total cost on the day we signed the contract. You'd think some courtesy would be given since we are legit customers paying for our value with no games. The event was supposed to be on the penthouse floor. They explained if it rained, they would move the cocktail hour to the Promenade. We got there- no one notified my daughter or her father prior that they changed the cocktail hour location completely because rain was expected to be in a few hours. You'd think a courtesy phone-call would be appropriate. Better yet, the cocktail hour wasn't even in the rooftop or the Promenade! It was in the Oak Suite, a room my daughter and her groom never got to see! What kind of service is this? No notification or no courtesy viewing of the room? Additionally, Bruno was beyond rude to the family and my daughter who is also pregnant! He gave her such a difficult time at every end. First, he said no dry ice although the DJ has documentation supporting it doesn't trigger alarms. He told her no pyro-sparklers, which the DJ also was willing to provide a demo to show how harmless they are. However, on the Instagram of Terrace on the Park, there are two posts uploaded by Terrace on the Park of sparklers used in the entrance a few months ago!! He clearly was trying to give a hard time. He even got spiteful and banned the DJ. Next, we wanted to have seats ready in case we anticipated extra people, which we will pay for, since we already paid the day of signing upfront in one lump some, but Bruno notified my daughter's father he's going to remove all the plates from the setting if we wanted that option. I never witness such nasty behavior from adults. My daughter had to plan her wedding in 6 weeks and every vendor including her wedding dress vendors, make-up vendors, floral vendors, wedding planners, decorators, photographers, musicians and dancers worked with her to make sure her wedding day was smooth. However, here at Terrace on the Park they sure tried to make sure my daughter/ son-in-law and pregnancy unhappy that day. No one has even tried to reach out, apologize, provide an explanation, give us a complimentary bonus of any sort. There was no sincerity from anyone. I found it to be very unprofessional and alarming people are so rude to others on their wedding day, especially. Reviewed on 02-08-2018

I found them to be nice and helpful initially, but when I went to other venues like Russo on the Bay and The Sterling- you can tell the quality of service is different. They expressed more emotions and care for your day. I noticed at Terrace on the Park, they challenge you in your requests for your day. It also is unfortunate they don't have grand entrances in this venue or offer party packages like other venues with the limo, backdrops, centerpieces, late-night food, etc. I spoke to Nicole and found her to be unhelpful and Bruno wasn't pleasurable either. I also was told from other people they give a hard time if you want to have a grand event and they don't express sincerity in your wedding day. Nor do they reach out to fix the issues, unlike other venues. Reviewed on 30-07-2018
knottie73ed0dc2a27f9557 (bride)1 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 21-07-2018 I had my wedding reception here this past weekend at 7:30pm. From the beginning of booking this event with Jen, she appeared to be helpful and caring. It was until we got transferred over to Nicole who was saying the opposite of what Jen approved. These things include sparklers, location of the cocktail hour, and any minor details we would like to change. We abide to it and let it be. It was until the day of the reception it all went downhill. We walked into an evening where rain showers were expected to approach in an hour. However, we found out the back-up room Jen showed us for rained events aka the Promenade, was not being used for our cocktail hour. However, the Oak Room- a room we never saw and that doesn't have a window view like the Promenade room, was used for the cocktail hour. We tried to ask what took place and why we weren't notified. If we can move the cocktail hour back. The response we got \"we decided this an hour ago.\" So, if you decided this an hour ago...why wouldn't you let us, the payers, know ahead of time? No one can seem to answer this question. Hence, the unprofessional service starts. Then, my fiance father went downstairs to speak to them and they had a nasty attitude and Bruno, the general manager, threaten to take away the plates from the table... Please tell me how this is professional? From what I saw in past reviews Bruno seems to be a guy who needs a lesson in customer service, professionalism, and courteous manners. This is not the first time he is rude to the wedding party, based on prior statements. If he is unhappy at Terrace on the Park, then he shouldn't be working there. Next, we let go of cocktail hour and just let it be. We go upstairs to our penthouse venue. We are in the bridal suite and the DJ told us how management is now creating issues about the sparklers and fog machine, which were both non-hazardous materials. We showed Terrace on the Park their two photos that Terrace on the Park posted on Instagram of sparklers and each person had a different excuse. Jen said it is only by an approved vendor. Bruno said it is illegal in NYC, when these are clearly sparklers that are non-flammable and won't interrupt the smoke alarm. Then when we showed them the photo that Terrace on the Park posted on Instagram, they said oh those two people got away with it. We were so confused with the lies and how can those people get away with it if it was posted by Terrace on the Park! Then when we asked Bruno for an alternative to our entrance he was rude and pulled us to our DJ. He decided that he was going to prohibit the DJ from that venue after the event. Finally, the funniest of it all was Jen approached us and said I thought you were going to be here at 6pm in a rude attitude, when we arrived at 6:30pm, but my father-in-law arrived at 6pm. What difference does it make to Jen? Was that going to change something? Is she our time checker? I think this all shows how the venue was unable to be professional and come to a resolution or apologize or express sincerity in some form, by reaching out or trying to please us the customers. There are many times customers are unsatisfied, but owners/management/staff will go above and beyond to make sure that they tried their hardest to accommodate. Terrace on the Park made sure they tried their hardest to ruin our mood and no apology was expressed, including his rude response below. Reviewed on 27-07-2018

I understand mother nature takes place. But dont show us the promenade room and then the day of have our guests at the oak room. Bruno made a difficult time about us having sparklers and fog machine when their Instagram had it posted..I confronted the staff we got three diff stories. One was that the policy changed, the other was that it's only by their vendor, and the last one was the best...they said the people who had the sparklers and fog machine got away with it. Really ? Cause if they got away with it then why did Terrace on the park post it on Instagram? Then they claim its illegal when I showed them a picture of their Instagram having it. Nicole and Jen were on two different pages and both were supposed to be helping to coordinating my event. Best recommendation go to another venue that respects your wedding and wishes. They did took away the special feeling which made me feel so bummy at my reception. But thank God I had a great crowd and DJ that made it a great night. Don't go here with management as such. a member (bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 02-06-2018 Terrace on the Park was the first and only venue we saw for our wedding. Whenever we told someone we were having our wedding at Terrace on the Park we always heard that they went there “x” number of years ago for a wedding and it was amazing and we were going to love it. I am so excited that now our wedding is going to be one that people refer to when they hear someone else is having their wedding here. We met with Jennifer and she became our coordinator for our big day. Jen was absolutely fantastic and every appointment with her felt like we were sitting down with one of our lifelong friends. She made the whole process quick and easy and we were not at all overwhelmed. We had our ceremony on the rooftop and reception in the penthouse. I was so excited to see Jen present before the ceremony and during the wedding. The food was delicious, the service was phenomenal, drinks were on point, and the venue overall was just absolutely breathtaking. Our Maitre d’ was incredible, whenever we saw her she had a smile on her face, I’d love to say she did everything we asked but that would be an understatement because we didn’t have to ask for a single thing! Even when we didn’t see her our drinks were always full along with our plates, I swear she knew magic and mind reading. The only thing we had to tell/ask her was what we wanted to drink at the very beginning of the reception along with our food orders and after that she did her thing and she did it perfectly! We didn’t want to take away from the natural beauty of the penthouse given by the gorgeous big windows and views so we had candles as centerpieces. The day before the wedding, my husband dropped off the numerous boxes of candles and vases along with seating cards, guestbook canvas, and different signs. I was a very laid back bride (surprising to everyone that knows me since I am so meticulous and anal about things) and only put the counts of candles on the boxes and what went with what so the staff had some sort of idea of what there was. Everything... absolutely everything, was set up just as I would have done it and I was in awe when I saw how beautifully every single thing was set up. The bakery they use, was amazing, the cake came out perfect and the cake tasting with the baker was intimate and sweet. The next morning (and still now) I cried when my husband and I spoke about how perfect everything was and I still continuously tell him I cannot wait to have kids so we can have every party possible at Terrace on the Park for them. I didn’t have a “dream wedding” planned since I was a little girl- but I know that our night was one that would have exceeded any dreams we possibly could have come up with. Ashley A(bride)3 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 04-11-2017 I'd like to say that Terrace is a beautiful venue, and I had a beautiful wedding. However, the customer service is poor. I had my wedding on November 4 of last year, and I find out the next day that my father paid the venue for 11 extra guests that I actually didn't have. Not once, did anyone who worked there come up to my husband and I (since we were paying for the wedding) about the addition of an 11th table. My guests shared that there were tables with empty seats, since they did not follow my seating chart and sat guests that were supposed to sit together in seperate tables. I came to find out my sick aunt was standing for an hour before she got seated. This could of all been rectified if someone asked me about the seating chart. No one told us that they added a new table and would charge me for it. I was blamed for changing table numbers, which I recall never doing. The representitive that handled my wedding made be feel as if I was loosing my marbles and because I'm the \"absent-minded bride\" that I invited 11 extra people that I know for a fact I never did. There was a lot of blame going on, and the person that I dealt with the entire time never took accountability once. Everything was wonderful until I confronted them with this problem and asked for a refund. I emailed and talked on the phone with them. My last inquiry was 2/8/18 via email. At this point it doesn't look like my father will get his refund since he was the one who selflessly paid for the table without us knowing. I reiterate that this problem should have been handled with my husband and I since we paid for our wedding. I would encourage this venue, beautiful as it may be, to work on their customer service. The bride should be held in high regard and treated with a pleasant attitude when dealing with issues such as this. I have not received an apology, notification about my father's refund or just a follow-up of my emails. My rating is based solely on the negative customer service. Reviewed on 11-03-2018

After a little hiatus from our engagement announcement back in October 2017, George, a banquet manager, has been so patient and amazing with us. We’ve been in communication with him since we requested a quote via theknot.com and were received so well by him. Although, there were two parties going on at this venue the day of our first site visit, he made us feel right at home and was completely patient with us as my fiancé and I are still trying to figure out what our vision is for our special day. He even gave us a few suggestions that I really liked for our wedding. We met several staff members who were very kind and professional. Soon after our meeting, we could not stop talking about Terrace on the Park and excitedly shared with our parents. We were able to set another appointment with George to do another site visit with our parents and again, he gave us a great tour and answered all of their questions. By the end of our appointment, we walked smiling after finalizing everything and selecting a date. Went over all pricing and menus first, then ask if we want to book ? At this point we haven’t even seen the rooms. We wanted different liquor options and then he pulls out a different another menu. I said I’ll review all the options but we would like to see the room. His remark “okay but it might not be available tomorrow”, — so what we can’t see the room? What if our date changes etc. he then proceeds to tell me while we are looking at the room that I don’t know what I want because I asked to see the different menus. Dannie Karp(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 20-04-2017 Terrace on the Park, and more specifically, Jen Jolly, was absolutely amazing throughout the entire planning process. We DIY’d a lot of our wedding, so I had a ton of questions and a ton more emails to exchange and she always responded promptly and with such patience and positivity. We moved to Los Angeles right after we book the venue (14 months before our big day) and Jen made planning the wedding from across the country as easy as it could have possibly been. From the food, to the lighting, to the decor, to the staff, you couldn’t ask for a better venue. Jen (and Bruno, the General Manager) really helped to create our absolutely perfect day. As long as your requests are reasonable, they will do everything they can to make sure your day is what you envision. Jack was a wonderful Maitre D’. He struck the perfect balance of following my timeline (and listening to my wedding stage manager) but also feeling out the crowd and making sure everything ran smoothly. Katya was the most amazing bridal attendant, and we were never needing anything because she was right there anticipating all of our needs. Jen and Bruno went above and beyond to make this day special. We are so happy to have them be a part of our day forever. From top to bottom, everyone at Terrace on the Park was an 11 on a scale of 1-10. If you’re looking for an affordable venue, with a top-notch staff, that has AMAZING FOOD (seriously, we are still getting compliments about the food a couple weeks later) and a management team that is truly dedicated to you, look no further than Terrace on the Park. As a bride and a person who deals with event coordination myself, we could not have asked for anything more as Terrace on the Park surpassed our expectations. The venue was absolutely breath-taking from the views to the smallest details. The staff was completely hands-on and the service was amazing. We planned the evening with Jennifer Jolly and what a wonderful person to work with. Jennifer is very professional and down-to-earth all in one package. She is excited to work with you to make your event the best it can be and to execute what it is you're looking for. I personally like to let the professionals do what they do and not micromanage and I cannot reiterate what a wonderful job they did. It is definitely a team effort at Terrace and it shows. As the bride and groom we didn’t get to eat too much as we were running around taking pictures BUT when I tell you we had a hard crowd to please when it came to food .... I am NOT joking. Everyone and I mean EVERYONE we have spoken to enjoyed the food to the fullest capacity. We’ve heard about the impeccably prepared Calamari to the cold seafood bar and carving stations at the cocktail hour and that doesn’t even begin to touch the surface of everything else they served. The entree’s were mouth watering and we have been told that they did not disappoint – the kitchen was completely spot on with all FIVE entrees being offered to 240 guests – do you know what that is like for them?! I do and I am completely thankful for everything they prepared and executed with such finesse and the staff was wonderful with all their table service – they definitely went above and beyond to fulfill any request sent their way.Do I recommend Terrace on the Park for your wedding or special event? Samantha Molton(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 04-09-2015 Terrace on the Park helped make our wedding better than we could have ever imagined. Walking through our eventual wedding space for the first time (we had the Terrace Suite), it just felt right. We had our ceremony in an atrium-like room that was on the bottom floor, and it was beautiful – exactly what we were looking for to bring the outdoors in. Our cocktail hour was in the next room over, and then our reception was in an adjacent ballroom-looking area that was just exquisite. We loved that the three different parts of our evening were held in the same general space – it made the night flow seamlessly, and gave our guests (we had around 60) enough room to move around and spread out. We were in near-constant contact with our event coordinator, Lisbeth, from day one. She answered all of our questions and was a joy to work with. On the day of the wedding, our bridal attendant, Darianna, was extremely helpful. Looking back, I’m not sure what we would’ve done without her! And while my wife and I didn’t get to have much of the food ourselves, we heard from our guests that it was excellent. Some even said that it was the best meal they’ve ever had. And many of our guests said that it was the best wedding they’ve ever been to. Picked this venue for my wedding.. View/layout are major selling points as well as the STARTING price. That being said, there are several points you need to look out for if this is the venue you choose. Starting Price Per Guest: $75.00/ After taxes & Fees: $125. (not including tip). Average price anywhere else: $130-150 (with taxes/fees/tip)\r-Acct's dept is really bad-extremely scary when you realize how much money you're entrusting them with. We made several payments to the venue in order to pay everything off before day of. Every time we met up with the venue, their #'s never coincided with ours-I always seemed to be short by a few thousand dollars. I had to fax and email copies of checks multiple times because the department never had my account up to date. So much so that on the ACTUAL DAY OF MY WEDDING, I had to call banks and get copies of checks I had already provided them with because to them, I was still short $1,000- I didn't want to pay an extra because they couldn't keep their records on track- so I spent several hours of that day (and the night before until 3 am) going over each check # trying to find their ‘missing check’. I didn’t want overcharges. Sure enough, they found a way to charge me more by the end of the night.\r-You need to record what the managers are saying every time you meet. On our final meeting, we confirmed 128 guests w/ the possibility of crashers. We were honest from the beginning that there would be crashers and placed a 12th table in the floor plan. I was told by the manager not to worry because the venue tallies the final number of guests based on the # of dinner orders that were placed in the kitchen. As with any wedding, some ppl don't attend (7 for me) and extra guests pop up (9 crashers). When I received a bill for an extra 9 guests, even when 7 didn't show up! Mathematically only 2 extra guests showed up and my conversations with management ensured me I wouldn't have to pay extra. When I called to inquire about this, I was told that because they set up an additional table (even when that 'extra table' was already part of the confirmed layout), I would automatically be charged 9 ppl. Management NEVER informed us about this and I must've been at that venue at least a good 7-10 times, so he wasn't without opportunity to disclose this info. I made sure to ask many questions about pricing, taxes, per person fees, additional fees and this tidbit never came up. They tried to throw me for a loop by saying that I should have been charged 12 ppl rather than 9 because that's how many chairs were set up at the last table. I specifically clarified I would not know the # of extra guests and now they're portraying themselves as good guys and doing me a favor for charging me an extra 9 plates on an ‘extra’ table that was part of the confirmed floor plan. \rSide dishes that accompanied the main course were school cafeteria quality at best. The steamed vegetables you received- you can tell they just defrosted a bag of the cheapest frozen veggies and plopped it on a table. When you think about the money you’re spending on the food and how close the final $ is compared to other venues. I’m not a ‘foodie’, but even I didn’t touch the side dishes.\r\rThink really hard if this venue is right for you. They have great managers, but they all report back to 1 accounting department and all follow the same house policies. For some financial peace of mind, seek another venue. Reviewed on 26-11-2014

We had a 12 page menu presented to us as the standard package and we took it with only a few changes (we requested no meat in our salads, and we changed one of the entrees to salmon with dill sauce - which was phenomenal). Our guests were blown away with the food - the presentation (pretty garnishes, varying heights, they provided some flowers, etc), the taste, the variety, and the abundance. Several guests thought cocktail hour was dinner it was so much food! My bridal attendants made sure to put lots of cocktail food aside for me in my bridal room so I wouldn't miss out.\r\rThe room itself (penthouse) was stunningly beautiful so we only needed minimal decor. The only downside to the room is its all windows, so our photographer had to pose some guests because traditional table shots would have had too much glare. No biggie, but don't seat elderly or handicapped at window tables.\r\rWe loved having the terrace even though it was a bit cold outside, as we had many guests who smoked. They were able to stay near the festivities yet be outside smoking. The view from the terrace was breathtaking, enjoyed by locals and out of towners. \r\rWe took advantage of the park and Unisphere for posed photos. Its about a 10 minute walk when walking slowly, and easy. We just stood on the grass with the Unisphere centered behind us, and the pictures look great!\r\rWe used the hotel recommended (Marriott Courtyard LaGuardia) because we were told we could get a shuttle bus for guests (no drunk driving). The hotel was pretty, and nearby, but they did not provide us a shuttle - the Monday before the wedding they said it wasn't available. They offered to coordinate car service for guests but we had to provide exact numbers and exact times, which was a burden and a hassle. And it was priced at over $200 to do it.\r\rWe did not use the house florist. They were rude when I wanted information (basic pricing, hours, etc) via email prior to making an appointment. I didn't want to start with an appointment because they were very inconveniently located in Brooklyn with no parking lot. Their website indicated wedding packages *started* at $2,000. I used a local florist and got an amazing package for $1,100.\r\rWe got our cake through Terrace on the Park, which means it was just a basic 4 tier, in all white, but it was lovely and more important it was very tasty. We went with vanilla cake, strawberry filling and whipped cream frosting - it was fresh and moist and just really good! They packed up the entire top tier (and a tray of assorted pastries) for us to take home.\r\rOverall I would absolutely recommend Terrace on the Park. Its low stress, beautiful, easy to get to (several of our guests even took the subway) and the staff was friendly and attentive and the food plentiful and tasty. But do be prepared to be directly asked to tip no less then $3 per guest (yes we told that) in cash, and before the party is over, if Norm is there. Reviewed on 21-10-2012

Cely Batista(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 14-10-2011 They blew me away with all their courtship. As soon as I walked in I was treated like a queen. I didn't have to do anything. The food was insane and sooo good. Their open bar had everything. The views on the rooftop were beautiful. I definitely had the wedding of my dreams. All of our guests were so thrilled with everything that they want us to plan another wedding joking around. I'm sure our guests will consider Terrace On the Park for their own occasions.
