The Astorian is a wedding venue located in Houston, TX. This venue was established in the mid-1900s and has specialized in making every wedding a joyous occasion. With their 1920s theme and candescent banquet hall, you and your guests will have an event to remember. They have experience hosting many wedding activities, such as ceremonies, receptions, showers, and elopements. The Astorian is a pet-friendly venue and continues to turn heads since 2012. We absolutely loved having our wedding at the Astorian! This venue has been a dream of mine for so long, and we were on cloud nine after booking. The venue itself is so gorgeous and has such beautiful views of the Houston skyline. Beyond that, every person we worked with was extremely professional and organized. We worked closely with Addie throughout the process of preparing for our day and she was extremely attentive, detail oriented, kind, and overall a wonderful person to work with. She made us feel at ease and helped our whole day go smoothly and even better than we could have dreamed for. Would recommend this venue to any and everyone!!

We absolutely loved having our wedding at the Astorian! This venue has been a dream of mine for so long, and we were on cloud nine after booking. The venue itself is so gorgeous and has such beautiful views of the Houston skyline. Beyond that, every person we worked with was extremely professional and organized. We worked closely with Addie throughout the process of preparing for our day and she was extremely attentive, detail oriented, kind, and overall a wonderful person to work with. She made us feel at ease and helped our whole day go smoothly and even better than we could have dreamed for. Would recommend this venue to any and everyone!!

We got married in March 2023 and had our reception at The Astorian. Deborah and Co were excellent all day long! All of our requests were talked through and Deborah helped to create the night of our dreams. One of the most exceptional touches (there were a lot) was having full attention on my husband and I. Throughout the day and night we we're doted on and we loved the whole experience. We wish we could do it all again!

The Astorian was the perfect wedding venue for us! Everything from the bride and groom suites to the Houston skyline at night was beautiful. Working with Dani and Courtney made the process so easy. They were quick to respond to emails and we’re a huge help when it came to making the floor plan. They allowed me to take my bridal photos one afternoon while the venue was empty. I’m so glad I did because it was the perfect setting. Even without extra decor, the space is just beautiful. We keep hoping one of our friends will get married there so we can go back! We highly recommend.

The Astorian has always been my dream venue and to host my wedding there was exactly that, a dream. The team was so great to work with and Deborah made it such a seamless and enjoyable experience. They even assisted my caterers and decor team with the major room flip during cocktail hour! One specific memory I had was that Daniel and the team made me special non-alcoholic signature cocktails and provided zero proof champagne. It really meant a lot that I got to partake with the rest of my guests and my husband. It's details like that that you really cannot put value to. I can't recommend this venue enough!

The Astorian is hands down the most beautiful venue in Houston proper. The building, the fixtures and the acoustics were clearly very well thought out. Once you walk in, it is hard not to exclaim \"wow.\" Further, its location is great and close to many of Houston's restaurants and things to do for out of town guests. This is what made us first fall in love with the venue and feel so lucky to have our wedding there. However, the real gems are the people who work there. Deborah is extremely well organized, responsive and is happy to make your vision a reality. On a personal level, I found her very easy to get along with and straight forward. She also thought of things we did not nor did our planner. Her anticipation of our needs was priceless. Also, Daniel, the bar manager, was very accommodating and even allowed us to come in for a wine tasting a few months ahead of time. He was very knowledgeable and passionate about their program. They were both calming wedding cherubs that made the process really enjoyable. The Astorian may seem like a place where you would have a lot of stick in the mud or inflexible lines you have to color in, but that was not the case. We were really able to customize everything to our needs without any issues. Another plus - it was a cold, rainy day (thanks Houston) when we were married and having the wedding party suites inside of the venue was a life (hair and makeup) saver. Deborah and Daniel made sure they were stocked with everything we needed for the big day. I cannot express in writing how easy they made the wedding planning process and how perfect our wedding day was with their help. And yes, The Astorian can be on the high end of wedding venues but - you get what you pay for. Moreover, since the space is already so stunning (we literally had guests come up to us with their mouths agape to exclaim this to us) we were able to save money by using less decorations. If the Astorian is within your price point, look no further. It is the best venue in Houston hands down.

My husband and I knew without a doubt that The Astorian was where we wanted to have our wedding. It is the most beautiful venue we have ever seen, and we couldn’t think of a better place to start our marriage! It combines timeless elegance with character and romance. You don’t need to add anything to the space if you did not desire because it is so stunning on its own. We love the central location, as we had many out-of-town guests in attendance. We had both our ceremony and reception in the same space. Everything transitioned smoothly and The Astorian’s staff was on top of it all. The wedding felt so intimate in the space although we had a decently large guest list of 250! Deborah is exceptional. We truly feel like we hit the jackpot by getting to work with her! Her knowledge and experience are just spectacular, and her communication could not have been better. Our day went without any hiccups because she planned it out so well. Getting to know her during our wedding planning process was the sweetest unexpected gift!My husband and I will forever be grateful to have had our wedding hosted at The Astorian. If you are considering having your wedding or event there, I whole-heartedly say “do it”!

I may be biased but it is unlike any other wedding venue I had seen in Houston.Dani & the Astorian staff (especially the bartenders) were amazing to work with. They made sure our wedding day was absolutely stress-free, letting us enjoy our friends & family without worrying about any details. They are true professionals & took care of every single detail before anyone even had to ask. The Astorian is truly the BEST place to have your wedding. Dani and her team were an absolute dream to work with. From the first time we toured the Astorian to our wedding day, Dani was extremely easy to work with and very communicative. She is a very kind soul and truly cares about every detail. I truly cannot find the write words to describe our experience with The Astorian for our wedding. We feel so blessed to have been able to hold our wedding with this absolutely stunning venue. Our experience from the very beginning with the entire staff was superb. The entire staff was so helpful in connecting us with our vendors. I trusted every recommendation from Joe Pachouli and Deborah Rizzo, and both of their care and expertise was extremely impressive and appreciated. We were connected to our Wedding Planner: Kiran + Leigh, our unbelievable photographer: Aisha Kahn and the most superb catering company: Jackson and Company Catering and from the very first day in planning to the very last hour everything was seamlessly planned out and performed to give us and our family and friends an incredible experience that we will remember and treasure forever. Again, I cannot find the right words to express how impressed and deeply appreciative we are to be able to say that we had our wedding at The Astorian.

My wife and I were recently married at The Astorian. We could not have found a better indoor venue for our wedding. From the beginning, Deborah, the GM, made us feel like their best clients. She was attentive to our every detail and desire. She worked closely with our wedding planner and other vendors to make sure our special day was perfectly executed. The staff from Jackson and Co. Catering was superb, as well as the gourmet food. Even the owners, Joe and Romain, made themselves available and attentive to our interests. We feel like they are all family.

The Astorian is a beautiful venue of understated elegance, glamour and charm. Our wedding celebration there went off without a hitch due to the professional and highly trained staff. During the planning process, all of our questions and emails were always answered promptly and advice and suggestions were also given that proved incredibly helpful! We had to postpone our original celebration due to Covid so we worked with the Astorian for a long time! Our initial coordinator left the Astorian for another job but the transition was seamless, and we ended up working with Dani Collins. We felt an instant connection with her as Covid had changed her wedding plans as well. She totally understood our situation and managed it beautifully. We would highly recommend The Astorian. We could not have been any more pleased with how the evening went.

My husband and I booked the Astorian for our July 2020 wedding and cannot imagine a better experience planning with the Astorian. We worked with Dani, and she was just fantastic--such a prompt communicator, totally willing to chat with our parents directly when they had questions, and super willing to work with our budget and help us think through the process. Not to mention, Dani was kind, thoughtful, and very compassionate throughout an emotional and logistics-heavy planning process. She always followed up at the right moment, and we just love her! We both felt very supported by the Astorian team and they were committed to making it the event we had envisioned. While we ultimately did not get to host our wedding at the Astorian (small backyard gathering instead), we had such a fantastic experience working with their excellent staff. This is so much more than an amazing venue. We would recommend the Astorian because of the fantastic people who were truly committed to working with us, during a year that was nothing like what any of us expected.

We worked with Dani, and she was just fantastic--such a prompt communicator, totally willing to chat with our parents directly when they had questions, and super willing to work with our budget and help us think through the process. Not to mention, Dani was kind, thoughtful, and very compassionate throughout an emotional and logistics-heavy planning process. She always followed up at the right moment, and we just love her! We both felt very supported by the Astorian team and they were committed to making it the event we had envisioned. While we ultimately did not get to host our wedding at the Astorian (small backyard gathering instead), we had such a fantastic experience working with their excellent staff. This is so much more than an amazing venue. We would recommend the Astorian because of the fantastic people who were truly committed to working with us, during a year that was nothing like what any of us expected.

From the second that you walk in, you can feel how special this place is. The staff is on it. They are strict, but they take care of their building and you can tell how much they love it and treat it as if it were their own house.Joe, one of the owners is so friendly and engaged. Alyssa is extremely organized and informative. I never had to ask her for a thing because she stayed on top of my wedding and all of the details that have gone in to putting it all together. She is prompt and always makes me feel like we are on the same page. She is someone who has set the bar high in my book. I cannot tell you how thankful I am that you have been so attentive and thorough with my wedding. I know that I am in good hands and that everything will be taken care of and executed smoothly between you and my wedding planner. This venue was gorgeous, getting married here was the best decision we made! (Well that I made, hubby let me choose everything. :-D)We had our ceremony and reception here and it turned out perfectly!! I was a little nervous about the room flip but the staff helped both the ceremony and reception go seamlessly. We had about 160 people at our wedding, the space was perfect and never felt too crowded or too large for that many people. Briana and Season were our wedding coordinators and were SO helpful, they technically were only day-of planners but we had several meetings leading up to the wedding and they offered great suggestions and made sure everything went smoothly leading up to and on the day of the wedding. I asked a million questions and they were so great at coordinating everything, offering tips on things that I would never even have thought about, and making sure everything was handled with the outside vendors. The venue itself offers so many great places to take pictures on the day of the wedding both indoors and out, and the location is great for people that live in the loop. The view of downtown, especially as the sun is setting, is so pretty, and the Edison lights once it's dark out look so chic. This was a beautiful place to get married, the staff made everything run so smoothly on the day of, and we and our guests had so much fun on the wedding day!

Top notch staff and venue. I cannot tell you how many guests told us that it was a PERFECT wedding. My daughters dreams came true that night. The expression \"you get what you pay for\" is true. Amazing decor so that you do not need extensive lighting or additional decorations (if your planner is telling you the venue requires extensive lighting at this venue....get a new planner). The venue was flipped from an elegant ceremony setting to a gorgeous reception all while we took pictures and our guests enjoyed the lavish bar area! Deborah and the staff went above and beyond to accommodate any requests we had. Even post wedding The Astorian staff continues to treat us like royalty.

We got married in October of 2016 and had our reception at the Astorian. The venue is beautiful, we could not have asked for more in terms of a stunning location. Our guests were blown away. We had about 300 of them, and while fitting them in with a dance floor as well took some planning - we were able to seat everyone comfortably.

We had SO many of our guests tell us it was the best reception and venue they’ve ever been to! Many guests from Houston as well as out of town; and they loved the downtown skyline. Not to mention the unique decor, lighting, and art of the Astorian. Not many places in central Houston can host a seated dinner for 350 guests and we were able to do just that at The Astorian without being crowded. The bar is huge and so great for guests to not get stuck in long, crowded lines. Easy access off I10. Our ceremony was 13 miles away and we got there in 20 minutes. The easiest decision my husband and I made in wedding planning. The first venue we saw and fell in love. Briana, our coordinator, was amazing and always helping with whatever our requests were. Even the bathrooms are beautiful. Love the Astorian and hope to have another party there!

The Astorian was truly a hidden gem!! The outside doesn’t do the inside justice AT ALL!! From the beautiful interior to the remarkable views of downtown, this was the perfect venue for our wedding reception. The Astorian also has both a bridal and groom suite which were both decorated very nicely, and were both large enough to accommodate the bridal party (7bridesmaids, 7 groomsmen, hair dressers, makeup artists, and family) and then some comfortably. The decor was perfectly suited for our theme and we only needed to incorporate our colors. The pictures came out amazing as a result. The staff of the Astorian were extremely friendly and very pleasant to work with. At the end of our night everyone was having soooo much fun that they allowed us to extend our stay for an extra hour. If you’re considering wedding venues in Houston, the Astorian should definitely be at the top of your list! You will be very pleased, and I’m more than confident that they will far exceed your expectations as they did ours.

We were blown away with our experience at the Astorian. For starters, the venue is absolutely gorgeous! It is the perfection combination of industrial, chic, and timeless - not to mention the stunning views of downtown. Our coordinator, Season, made planning a 400 person event a breeze. She replied to all of our questions very quickly and provided so much patience with our dozens of site visits. She's extremely professional and kept us calm with all the day of chaos. Our vision was executed perfectly - I would highly recommend the Astorian if you wish the same for your special day.

My husband and I had our reception here in May of 2017 and it was AMAZING!!!While searching throughout the Houston area for a venue spot, the Astorian ended up being my number one pick for reception locations. I first came across the venue when it caught my eye on Instagram through an acquaintance’s wedding pictures. When my mother reached out to schedule a visit, they invited us to attend an open house so we could see the venue at night. The minute we walked in, I looked to my dad and fiancé to tell them the search was over!Season and Briana were our direct contacts at the Astorian, and I don’t know what we would have done without their help. Throughout the process, we had many questions to insure the day went smoothly, and they were always patient with us even with the endless questions. While planning the wedding, my mother and I decided to take advantage of their additional service as a Day of Wedding Coordinator. By purchasing this package, it included 3-4 planning meetings with a recap the week before the wedding with all of our vendors. Briana even came to my last fitting appointment to make sure she could handle the bustle of my dress. Season and Briana brought my vision to life while providing insightful tips on venue set up, preferred vendors, and details that are typically overlooked.Our wedding day went off without a hitch….actually it was PERFECT!! Briana and Season were great about keeping the timeline on schedule without making us feel rushed. They made sure Michael and I took a few minutes here and there to take in the day. Our guests are still talking about the venue atmosphere with the vintage feel, wrap around windows, and breath-taking skyline view of downtown. Their bar staff was amazing and each vendor recommendation lived up to the hype. I can understand why Cordua Catering and the Drywater Band were some of their top suggestions.Now as we look back on our wedding day, my husband and I feel the exact same way about The Astorian as we did from day one! The venue provided us with a unique atmosphere that just can’t be replicated. THANK YOU FOR EVERYTHING!!

My husband and I had our reception at The Astorian in June of 2016. We could not have been happier with the venue, the events team, and our entire experience! We were hoping to have our reception in a place that had not been overused by all of our friends. We went to a gala at The Astorian and we were hooked! The building is beautiful enough in itself and the view of downtown is spectacular. The crew working the events are organized, responsive, and will do whatever it takes to make it the event of your dreams. I will never forget the two bar managers with flashlights who held the train of my dress so we could walk across the roof to take photos in the skyline. They truly go above and beyond! If we were to do it all over again, I wouldn't change a thing!

We had our wedding in January of 2016 and were absolutely blown away with this venue. We looked at it back in October and the moment we stepped off the elevator, we knew The Astorian was it. They have such a gem of a wedding venue. Definitely one of a kind and breath taking. Our guests are still talking about how beautiful it is. Good thing is, since it is so tastefully decorated, you only need minimal extra decorations and flowers.

I was married here in October 2015. I cannot say enough wonderful things about the Astorian for a wedding venue or any other big party. The venue itself has recently been renovated to the nines. The style and decor is absolutely breathtaking. It has a very classy great gatsby feel. As soon as I walked in the venue, I knew it was where I wanted to get married. We had our ceremony and reception here. The set up is incredible. It has a large room for the reception with gorgeous lights, high ceilings, stained concrete floors, columns and floor to ceiling windows with the Houston skyline in the background. I also absolutely loved the bar area. It was gorgeous with beautiful chandeliers and cool flooring. In addition to the place being so beautiful, the staff was wonderful to work with. Everyone on the staff was extremely warm and friendly and made planning a wedding a lot of fun. Deborah and Alexis were our venue coordinators and were wonderful to work with. Our wedding was better than we could have imagined it to have been. Love the Astorian and their staff.
