Our picturesque setting and updated establishment is just outside Penfield in the quaint town of Walworth. Our venue is over 11,000 square feet and boasts two bars, a stage, a large outdoor covered porch and gazebo overlooking Carey Lake. With the ability to host over 500 guests we will exceed all your gathering needs. Our easy to find facility has plenty of free parking as well as gardens for photo opportunities. Allow us to host your wedding day! Contact us today! Important info: Saturday weddings (May 1-Oct 31, 12/31) have a minimum of 100 guests and $15,000. I am so incredibly thankful that we found the Ballroom at Carey Lake for our wedding. Jody was absolutely amazing to work with from start to finish. Jody was incredibly organized and professional, and truly wanted to work with us to make our day exactly how we wanted. The venue itself is gorgeous. They have recently renovated and continue to renovate to make the space even more special than it already is. On the day of the event, Jody and her husband handled everything perfectly. The staff was friendly, the food was great, and everything went smoothly. They even have a beautiful outside overlooking a lake that is amazing for photos. I am so incredibly thankful that we found the Ballroom at Carey Lake for our wedding. Jody was absolutely amazing to work with from start to finish. Jody was incredibly organized and professional, and truly wanted to work with us to make our day exactly how we wanted. The venue itself is gorgeous. They have recently renovated and continue to renovate to make the space even more special than it already is. On the day of the event, Jody and her husband handled everything perfectly. The staff was friendly, the food was great, and everything went smoothly. They even have a beautiful outside overlooking a lake that is amazing for photos. My wife and I couldn't have been more pleased with just about everything at Carey Lake! Jody is an absolute gem to work with, going above and beyond to make sure the day went on without a hitch! The food, and drinks were absolutely amazing (our guests couldn't stop talking about how good the food was), and the staff were extremely accommodating and attentive to any/all of our needs, down to making sure we had food and drinks at all times. Our vendors (dj and photographers) even raved about Carey Lake. The ceremony space and reception space were absolutely gorgeous at baseline, and needed very little extra decorations to make it our own. The bridal suite, guest bathrooms, and the rest of the event space was meticulously clean, beautiful decorated and comfortable all at the same time. Even with a winter wedding (post snow storm) we were able to use the beautiful outside areas for pictures as they were cleared of snow and ice. We really couldn't have picked a better venue for our wedding day!!! #FLAWLESS

We had our wedding at The Ballroom at Carey Lake on 8/8/2021. Everything was phenomenal. The venue itself is absolutely stunning to say the least. The owner Jody was fantastic to work with from the start to execution day of. She was with me every step of the way. The food was delicious and we got many compliments. People are still raving about how beautiful everything was and how great the food was. Bar service was also excellent. Our day was absolutely perfect!!

We are so so SO glad we found The Ballroom at Carey Lake for our wedding venue (and more specifically Jody and Jay to help us with every single detail leading up to the event). Pricing was reasonable and very flexible in regards to them providing you every option possible and you choosing what works best for your budget specifically. There were so many options for food it was actually hard to choose! But the food we did choose was absolutely amazing! I lost count of the amount of people who told me that the food was better than any other wedding they had ever been too (highly recommend the chicken cordon bleu). Everything was scheduled beforehand which really helped me visualize the whole day before it even happened. Jody was amazing at helping me understand the entire process - honestly, the best vendor I worked with; she understood that this was my first time planning a wedding and that I needed her to share her expertise - which I really appreciated. The ballroom was beautiful (we were in the stage ballroom) and the light wall was a huge hit.There are not enough words to explain how easy it was having The Ballroom at Carey Lake as our venue, how much we appreciate Jody and Jay and how amazing and fun our wedding day was because of them! 10/10 would get married here again!

I had the opportunity to DJ a wedding reception at the Ballroom at Carey Lake this past weekend. It was a great experience from a vendor’s side. Being able to set up early and figure out what sound and lighting works best is always a plus, especially if you’ve never been/or renovations have been done. It’s also a very easy load/unload. Access is literally a walk across the hall from a flat driveway. The staff was helpful and friendly. The owners made themselves present and known to meet any needs to myself, guests and staff. They were flexible with the clients needs as well. They were efficient and a pleasure to work with. I would highly recommend and would be pleased to DJ there again. The room can hold some reverb. If you are able to set up mid room speakers, I would advise a small rig to reach the center. Wireless speakers would work. Obviously cables would need to be covered. I’d offer up only one critique. Offer a power bank behind the stage curtain for bands and DJs. If we can hide our cables, the better it looks not just for us, but the client. Thank you Jason and Jodi for a great job renovating.

Our Wedding reception at The Ballroom at Carey Lake was everything we had imagined it would be and more!! Jody and Jay have done amazing updates inside and all of our guests were in awe of how beautiful the space was. Jody helped us pull of our non traditional reception and it was exactly how we envisioned our special night to be. The food was amazing (Pasta bar was talk of the evening as well) the staff was very friendly, helpful and accommodating. 5 stars all day long!

Jody Calder (President) I grew up 15 minutes from The Ballroom at Carey Lake. I’m a country girl at heart. My husband, Jason, and I have two children together and three bonus daughters. Its always been a dream of ours to run a wedding venue. I’m the party planner in my family, and it is amazing to help others make their wedding dreams come true.
