The Barn at Bennett Flats is a beautiful age old 12,000 + square foot barn located in Heflin, Alabama overlooking 300 acres of scenic river bottom which borders the Tallapoosa River. The barn has been in the Bennett/Miles family for over 80 years. With its rich history, amazing view, and gorgeous original barn wood, this is a venue that is sure to make a lasting impression. It's situated equidistant between Atlanta and Birmingham within a convenient 12 minute hop to a large selection of hotels in Oxford, Alabama. We can easily accommodate wedding ceremonies and receptions for up to 400 guests. We also have a stunning home within walking distance from the barn that features a bridal suite, honeymoon suite and overnight accommodations for up to 12 guests.

I cannot say enough good things and this venue and the amazing staff! We had to postpone our wedding due to getting COVID two days prior to our original wedding date, and the staff were so understanding and let us postpone to a new date. They were the calm in the chaos for us and I can not imagine our wedding day without them. They are so laid back and funny and are willing to do whatever it takes to make your day the best day ever. The venue is absolutely gorgeous and was everything I’ve ever dreamed of. We had the best day and truly the best staff to work with at the Barn at Bennett Flats!

I cannot say enough good things and this venue and the amazing staff! You know when something is so perfect and a picture just doesn't bring it the justice it deserves ? That's where I am with BBF , the venue itself is a little piece of heaven, the barn house too . I felt like a princess all week end ! The coordinator Jessica is AMAZING! If she hadn't of been there I don't think my day could've turned out as perfect as it did . With all my questions, all the planning and all the day of stuff she was always quick to respond and always had the perfect solution. Most things she had before I even thought to ask . I simply adore her and I'm obsessed with the Barn at Bennett Flats ! You have to choose them you will not be disappointed!

ABSOLUTELY stunning venue!! They are so easy to work with, and Jessica is the BEST day of coordinator! We were so pleased with our wedding, and this place made our dreams come true. They carted guest in with the golf cart, has a bartender staff member, and always gives great recommendations for other vendors. The barn, house, and ceremony area is absolutely breathtaking. I would recommend to anyone in the area!

I love that they really offer it all and more in the wedding packages they have available and at a great price. I can not say enough good things about The Barn at Bennett Flats and it's staff. Not only is the venue absolutely stunning, but they offer amazing amenities such as the the Bridal House and the Groom's Cabin. We rented out both for the weekend for our bridal party that was staying from out of town. The venue coordinator, Kelsea, went above and beyond for us throughout the ENTIRE wedding process. She is truly a gem!! From checking on me during wedding planning to even making my husband and I a plate so that we had something to eat after our wedding. The staff is great at communication and hospitality. I fully believe my wedding day wouldn't have been as perfect as it was if we would have went with a different venue.

I wish I could give them more than 5 stars! The staff are truly amazing at what they do. They are knowledgeable and beyond helpful. Kelsea, the day of coordinator, was so helpful and I am so glad her services were provided. From start to finish, Kelsea made our wedding dreams come true. She is extremely knowledgeable about the barn and how you can achieve the most perfect day. I am so thankful for her recommendations! We got married outside behind the barn and had our reception in the Barn. The venue is breathtaking. I also highly recommend adding the barnhouse and grooms cabin to your package. This venue has a specific place for the groom & groomsmen to hangout and get ready at on the day of the wedding. It was such a relief as a bride to know that the bridal party was all together and very close by! Most venues do not offer a specific spot for the groomsmen to get ready; however, this venue does! A huge plus!! The Barnhouse is absolutely beautiful, and it is the perfect place for the bride & bridesmaids to hangout and get ready at on the day of the wedding. The night started and ended perfectly, I am beyond happy with my experience. If you are looking for a wedding venue in the Alabama area, this is it. This venue is extremely close (12 minutes) to Oxford,AL which has great accommodations for out of town guest.

The house beside the barn is stunning, both on the inside and outside. Highly recommend it for rehearsal dinner and for the bridesmaids and bride to stay in. It was a beautiful space for some of our pictures as well! The barn is the perfect “rustic” wedding look. If you are looking for the perfect spot for a wedding venue for a small ceremony or big ceremony this is hands down the place for you! The coordinator will make sure you have your day just the way you want and everything will flow so smoothly. Also, there’s so much included when having a wedding at this venue. The barn house is so elegant and clean and there is also a cozy but fun groomsmen cabin. It was overall the most perfect space to accommodate our day and we couldn’t have been happier with the way everything turned out!

My entire process with the Barn at Bennett Flats was nothing short of wonderful. I got married during covid and the entire staff was incredible with the rescheduling process. Everyone was so accommodating and made sure that everything went off without a hitch. The day of, Jessica was there for anything that we needed and was absolutely a pleasure to work with! There was not a stressful thing about that whole day. We rented out both houses and that was such an easy process. The facilities are super super nice and clean.

We found this venue on The Knot and I (the bride) immediately had to see it, i dragged my family almost 2 hours away and we all fell in love… my mom cried! We knew it was the one.The best features are:-the coordinator,Jessica… she is AWESOME! And will make your day go so smooth! -the barn house and the groom cabin. These houses were a dream to have for the wedding party and friends to stay and get ready in. We had so much fun and I wouldn’t do anything different! If you are thinking about this venue, don’t hesitate you will not regret it!

Some pros and cons from a bridesmaid at a recent wedding: the location, the venue, the ease of parking- all fantastic. They offer beautiful decor that's easy for you to set up for rehearsal dinner or wedding. Your photos will be stunning, it holds plenty of room for any of your family and friends. The air conditioning isn't really effective but the wedding was in Alabama in a barn in August so be fair in your expectations. The wedding coordinator was a big con however. The bride at our wedding is easygoing, sweet and very even tempered as a whole. However the wedding coordinator was by turns deliberately unhelpful or downright rude to the bride on a few separate occasions, including leading up to the rehearsal and the wedding day itself. She made it known several times there were things she wouldn't help with because it wasn't in her contract, which was fine- but then she went out of her way to disapprove of anything that wasn't decorated or done in a way she would have done it. So she wasn't willing to do the work but wanted to still feel in charge/control. I never saw her smile in two days and most of the interactions she had with the bridal party were negative as if any and all questions were an imposition. She made it obvious at all times that she would rather be anywhere but at the wedding. None of us had any problem stepping in and helping make the day go smoothly for our friend but the day would have been far more upbeat with a positive wedding coordinator or just no coordinator at all. I would recommend the venue because it's gorgeous but only if you could opt out of using Kelsey.

The Barn at Bennett Flats is amazing! Everything about the entire wedding experience from the first tour, numerous text, final walk through, rehearsal and wedding day exceeded our expectations ! Lauren and Jessica are the best...they are true professionals, yet relate to you on a personal level as well. They both made us feel like our wedding was genuinely important to them...we were not just another wedding on the calendar. I can't say enough about the the Barn House and Groom's Cabin. Both beautiful places and so convenient for the wedding party! Having everyone onsite takes away so much wedding day stress.The Barn and grounds are fabulous. The view at the outside wedding site is truly breath taking. Combine the staff and all the amenities The Barn at Bennett Flats is the prefect wedding venue!All three of my children got married in less than two years. The last and final wedding of the was at The Barn at Bennett Flats. Having the wedding at The Barn at Bennett Flats was the absolute best decision! I 10/10 recommend it. You will not regret it.

They are always happy and willing to help and answer any questions, worked with me through everything, and the whole barn venue area is beautiful!💕I recommend The Barn at Bennett Flats for any bride because I know I couldn’t of asked for a better wedding, it was truly the best day of my life🥰

This venue is seriously so beautiful!!! The scenery and the way the sun sets is only one of the many things I loved about this venue. Jessica was incredible to work with. She was honest, funny, professional, and flexible. She was willing to work with our ideas and pulled it off so beautifully. Our caterer forgot to bring our appetizers for our cocktail hour and Jessica made me feel like everything was under control. It’s safe to say that she was my muscle during my big day. I was so nervous about getting married out of state , but the team at Bennett Flats made it so easy for me plan my big day here. We rented the groomsmen cabin & the house on the property for our wedding weekend. Both are beautiful properties and our pictures came out amazing.

The barn was a perfect setting for the type of reception we wanted to have--a mix of eclectic, woodsy Southern charm and elegance. Once the sun set, the chandeliers and cafe lights made everything glow. Madelin and her staff are exceptional and professional planners. Everything went so smoothly, I didn't have to worry about a thing! We were able to relax and enjoy the party.

The Barn at Bennett Flatts is a hidden gem. Located between Atlanta and Birmingham, and only 2 hours from Huntsville makes their location so convenient (plus it's only 2 minutes from the interstate)! I held a customer appreciation event here and they made such an impression that my company Christmas party is scheduled there in just a few days. Madelin works hard to make sure everything is taken care of for you- from suggestions on vendors, to catering and set-up, she can take care of everything. She's extremely professional and goes the extra mile for customer service. She made me feel like mine was the only event she was planning, and like it was most important. The Barn is clean, and so beautiful! The view is spectacular. There's ample space for parking. Great outside and inside areas for different \"visions\" at different events. This event location is ideal for any type event- family reunions, corporate events, meetings, or parties. If I was looking for a wedding location, this would be the place!

I love this barn, The love and time they put in the details make's it look magical inside. And the views from the barn are breathtaking. The owner Madelin is so sweet and passionate about the barn and the events that she plans, she puts her heart in it. It's not just a job for her! It's her passion to make sure the event of the day is as special as you are. They treat you like family!! I would recommend this venue for any event you are planning. I recently had a customer appreciation event at The Barn at Bennett Flats. The event was a huge success, we had a great turnout and it was thoroughly enjoyed by all. Madelin was super helpful in planning everything from the food, beverages, entertainment, etc. The venue was easy to find, and the whole team was super laid back and fun to work with. I look forward to having many more events here in the future!
