Working with Gibbet Hill was phenomenal from start to finish. Starting with the phone tour to walk me through the packages, they were beyond patient and honest. If they were not able to do something, I was told up front. As a bride with many food allergies, I wanted to make sure that I was able to eat. Bree was wonderful at making sure there were options for me as well as allowing me to bring in my own ice cream and cookies for me to enjoy. The day of went off without a hitch! Bree was calm and ready for anything. Even when we left the flower grannies' baskets at the hotel and had to improvise at the last minute. When she was ready to leave and hand me off to our other coordinator, Bree took the time to check in and see if I needed anything before she left. The time and dedication this venue has to making a fairytale experience is beyond amazing. I received so many compliments on the barn, the food, and the staff!

This venue was absolutely fantastic. Everything turned out beautiful and the staff was very attentive to our needs and our guests’ all night. Stefani was an amazing coordinator and made everything so easy. The food was amazing. Honestly, everything was perfect. The staff even assisted with a dress malfunction, which is above and beyond what I could have hoped for.

Our wedding day was perfect thanks to everyone working at this incredible venue. It's a beautiful space, with amazing food, and even more amazing staff! From our initial inquiry to the actual wedding, each person we interacted with was professional, organized, and informative. Stefani, our assigned planner, was a life saver! She helped us plan every detail of the day and kept everything organized from start to finish. From encouraging us to make custom names for our cocktails, to having a bowl of gelato at the cake table for my cake-averse husband, to coordinating pick up of our supplies the day after the wedding, she was phenomenal. Stefani, along with our day-of Event Coordinator, Jill, helped make sure everything ran seamlessly. We had a handful of kosher guests with meals from an outside vendor and had been nervous about everything being served smoothly. We were nervous for nothing because everything went well. They were even able to accommodate our vegan guests with appetizers, entrees, and desserts! Overall, hugely convenient if planning is overwhelming for you, they really have it down to a science and will guide you every step of the way! Definitely book them if your date is available!

Gibbet Hill was truly the perfect wedding venue for our day and I would highly recommend it to anyone recently engaged or considering having their wedding here. The staff are amongst the best in the industry and truly made the whole wedding planning process seamless. Deirdre blew us away from the first call we had with her and made us feel completely at ease and that no detail would be missed. Day of, Deirdre handled everything we had discussed throughout the planning process and there was not one thing we had to worry about. On top of that, the food was incredible and our guests continue to tell us how good the apps, dinner & drinks were. And of course - the venue is simply stunning! The location is also unmatched - being right up the road from the Groton Inn and downtown Groton, it made the logistics for our guests so easy and a great New England town for guests to visit. We cannot recommend Gibbet Hill more!!

We can't say enough AMAZING things about The Barn at Gibbet Hill and how perfect our wedding was in August. Our family and friends are still raving about the beautiful venue, appetizers during cocktail hour, drinks, entrees, desserts and all the Gibbet Hill team who was working our event. The entire team was so professional, friendly, and ensured everything went smoothly. Everything was so top notch. A huge shoutout to Stefani, Emily, and Jess. You were all so instrumental in making our day so perfect, making sure we had everything we needed, and keeping me calm and relaxed! They all went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect - and it was! I never had to worry about the schedule or where I needed to be, they all guided me and our bridal party through everything we needed to do. The attention to detail from the backdrop and landscape of the outdoor ceremony space to the cocktail hour on the deck, to the beautiful barn for our reception – it was all so flawless and beautiful. The entire Gibbet Hill team was amazing, and I can't say enough good things about hosting our wedding here. We cannot recommend The Barn at Gibbet Hill enough if you are looking for a beautiful rustic wedding venue!

We truly cannot put into words how amazing our experience with Gibbet Hill was this past April! From the very beginning, the staff was organized, communicative, and helpful throughout our planning process. The day of our wedding, Deirdre and the entire staff made sure everything ran smoothly - there was not a single thing that went wrong! We were even lucky enough to switch at the last minute to an outdoor ceremony, which was unexpected for April. The food was also incredible, and our guests still talk about how much they loved all the apps, the signature cocktail, and their meals! Gibbet Hill went above and beyond our expectations to make our wedding day perfect!

The Barn at Gibbet Hill was the perfect venue for our wedding. They made everything from our initial inquiries to the followup congratulations email a delight. The whole team, administrators, wedding coordinator, bartenders and wait staff, Chefs, and the setup staff made our day a breeze. Our guests are still commenting on what a perfect and beautiful venue Gibbet Hill is, and we wholeheartedly agree, slightly biased opinion. ;) Two people I want to give a mention to, is Katelyn and Deirdre. As I said from the moment we contacted Gibbet Hill, Katelyn was a delight to navigate us through the introduction of Gibbet Hill and signing of the contract and answering all the questions that come around that process. She made us feel welcome and handled all my many, many questions gracefully. When it came time to assign the event planner to our Wedding, Deirdre took full control and made us feel at ease. She help guide us through the very detailed process of putting together a wedding. Giving us some guidance when it was needed and letting us tell her what our vision was. She then helped make that vision come true. I remember the specifically the day before the wedding when I was dropping off items and finalizing the last details. I was a little bit frazzled after dropping and shattering my phone, Deirdre took me aside and calmed me down. Essentially telling me that they had our backs, and that our wedding day would go off without any issues. From that moment on, I felt the weight and anxiety of the past two weeks disappear, and she was right! She has our heartfelt gratitude and we couldn't have asked for a better Wedding Coordinator. As for the rest of the staff, they were tremendous! If there was any issues behind the scenes, neither we, nor any of our guests notice. They acted professionally, gave us the white glove treatment, and made our night very special. The venue itself is lovely, and best of all can quickly convert into an indoor wedding without a hitch. I was desiring to have an outdoor event on their beautiful grounds. I have personally seen a few and wish that the weather held out for ours, but alas it did not. The staff at Gibbet Hill made it beautiful, and as I said our guests raved about the venue, the deck, and the food! If I could give 10 stars it wouldn't be enough to express how fabulous The Barn at Gibbet Hill was for our wedding. If they have your date available, BOOK IT!

The venue is beautiful, the food is AMAZING, and the staff is so professional and courteous! They help to keep you organized and calm throughout the whole planning process. They really take the time to walk you through and explain everything you will need to know leading up to the big day. On our wedding day, they made sure that everything went according to plan for the couple, guests, and all the vendors. I am sure that they did so much behind the scenes, and it was so nice that I had nothing to worry about on the big day. I highly recommend this venue!

We couldn't have asked for a better crew through the entire process-from start to finish. The Barn is so professional and very flexible in changes that happen throughout the planning and leading up to day of. The food is phenomenal. BEST FOOD EVER! Your guest will be talking about it for months after. We got married in April 2022-we have wedding guest that STILL talk about it almost a year later. It's the best wedding food you will ever have. This venue is a well-oiled machine. They know exactly what they're doing, and the best thing you can do is just trust them! We had a 220-person wedding on the most popular wedding weekend of the year (October 8), Gibbet Hill had another wedding that same morning, and the night went SO smoothly and we felt special and taken care of. At the end of our ceremony, during our few moments alone, the staff had set out all of the appetizers for us in the wedding suite, and one of each signature cocktail. Bree Oates was our planner and coordinator, and we felt like family by the end. This venue and its professional staff KNOW how to host a wedding, and we're so glad we chose them. Guests are still talking about the event over a month later, reminiscing! Thank you, Gibbet Hill!

We got married almost three months ago on 7/15/22. We could not have asked for a more phenomenal experience with everyone at The Barn at Gibbet Hill. Dierdre was our coordinator and helped us plan throughout the year leading up to our event. We changed our details and numbers many times and things fluctuated, and she meticulously handled each change. She was a pleasure to work with. We had many strong opinions and Dierdre navigated helping us plan with grace and kept everyone calm right up until we walked down the aisle. Heather was our bridal party attendant and was phenomenal. Everyone kept telling us prior to the wedding that we wouldn't have time to eat during the wedding. Heather made sure that was not the case. Every time we turned around, there was a plate of appetizers or a fresh drink ready for us to taste. How many couples can say they were able to taste everything at their wedding? The week of our wedding, a number of family members got COVID and were not able to join us. The team helped us accommodate a last-minute videographer as as well as many last minute shuffles to the seating chart and layout. We never worried for a second that everything wasn't going to be handled. The food was delicious and the venue itself was stunning. We could not feel more grateful to have picked The Barn at Gibbet Hill.

We had the wedding of our dreams thanks to The Barn at Gibbet Hill. Deirdre, our coordinator, was so incredibly helpful as well as all the staff that had a hand in the behind the scenes magic that was our wedding day. Our wedding was almost a month ago and we are still getting compliments on how beautiful the venue was, how amazing the food was, and how friendly the staff were. My husband and I didn’t have to worry about a single thing on our wedding day. Their team took care of us as well as the entire wedding party from the moment we got there. I had broke one of my straps to my dress and had an issue with my bustle and Deirdre and Joan immediately jumped in to help. My vision became my reality thanks to this amazing crew of people!!

From the moment we first visited the venue, everyone who worked there was super responsive, organized, and helpful. We worked with Deirdre and can't say enough good things about how great she was throughout the whole process.On the day of the event, everything was incredibly smooth and exceeded all of our expectations. We got so many compliments on how tasty the food was and how pretty the venue was. The staff were super attentive and made sure we had everything we wanted and kept on schedule. All of the vendors we used were on the list of recommended vendors from Gibbet Hill. Although not required, everyone they recommended was great to work with and helped make everything seamless.

It is going to be hard to keep this review concise and brief but choosing the Barn at Gibbet Hill was one of the best decisions we made. To start off working with Deirdre was awesome- she is such a pro and even though a lot of our wedding planning happened from Ohio she was so accommodating. The interior and exterior of the Barn is stunning- I truly think it would be impossible to take a bad picture there. Of course the main reason we went with this location was the food- which did not disappoint. Everything was delicious, cooked perfectly, and so many guests complimented us on how amazing everything was. Deirdre also had talked to the bartenders about making a spicy margarita signature drink for us that was absolutely delicious. Now while the food and picturesque venue were why we picked the Barn, what truly made our wedding experience perfect here was the staff. Deirdre, Emily, and the rest of team went above and beyond so I feel I have to mention a few of the little things that set them apart. A bunch of our guests came down with covid right before and the team was able to last minute adjust the table seating/chart right before the wedding. Anytime myself or immediate family got up to do something during dinner a server was right there to cover our food to keep it warm. When guests asked the servers for something specific (a cup of coffee or to have their steak slightly more well done) with no hesitation they did it. And finally my dad has a favorite drink from the Grill which requires a smokey ice cube- when one of the bartenders found this out they went over to the grill and got this for him. There were so many more little acts of kindness that made my family and friends feel so welcome and I can truly say I had the most stress free and fun wedding. I highly highly recommend this venue to anyone looking for their wedding day, you won't regret it!

Oh my for, I can’t rave enough about Gibbet Hill! I’ll keep it brief though. We worked alongside Bree, who was AMAZING. She walked us through everything, gave us sound advice when we needed it, and was great at communicating (we did it mainly through email, although we did have a couple phone meetings). The food was amazing, the barn was amazing, the staff was amazing, literally everything was amazing and stress free. I literally didn’t lift a finger on my wedding day. It was perfect.

The Barn was AMAZING to work with - I do not even have enough words to describe how great they were! We worked with Stefani for months on end, getting every detail perfect - she was always so quick to respond via email and had a solution for everything! The venue was gorgeous, the food was delicious, and they were SO organized. In addition to having Stefani for all the beforehand planning, she was there day of to help with all the day-of details in addition to a bridal attendant that made sure I always had a drink in hand! We got so many compliments from guests about the food, the venue, and the whole day.

Best wedding venue ever! Not only was the venue itself beautiful, but the staff and food were amazing. We had a waitress who went and got our drinks and made sure we ate when our food was ready. You will have a FLAWLESS event if you work with Gibbet Hill. They help you every step of the way and provide a fabulous list of recommended vendors. We assembled our team based on their list and we were simply blown away. The ceremony lawn is stunning, the deck is a perfect location for cocktail hour, and the barn is so naturally beautiful we only had a few flowers. The food is incredible and the service is top notch. I was also very impressed with how they handled allergies. We worked with Stefani and she was amazing! I was shocked at how many guests commented that it was the best wedding they had ever been to. We cannot thank GH enough! Book your wedding there now, you will not regret it.

My now-husband had been to a wedding at the Barn at Gibbet Hill years before we met, and loved it so much that he told me early on that's where he wanted to get married. We frequented their restaurant, the Gibbet Hill Grill, for special occasions and the food and service there are both top notch, so it was an easy yes from me. We worked with Bree as our venue coordinator, and she made the process so easy and organized. The Barn provides tons of resources on recommended vendors as well as options for decor, and provides online tools for RSVP management and seating arrangements, which gave us an easy jumping off point for planning the rest of our wedding. For vendors we already had in mind we were free to hire who we wanted, but for other items it was great to have the Barn's resources and experience as a starting point so that we weren't blindly searching through an endless list of potential vendors. Bree met with us a few times during the planning process, and was easy to connect with by email or phone between meetings. When I wanted to do a last-minute signature drink swap, she made it happen quickly and easily. During the wedding, she was always around to keep things moving smoothly and check on us to make sure we had anything we needed. Bree and the other day-of staff always made sure we had a chance to have food and drinks, knew when and where we needed to be, and touched base with us throughout the night. Cocktail hour flew by while we were taking photos, so Bree made sure a plate of apps was brought down to the wedding suite so we could enjoy a few bites before the reception, and left a few snacks for us at our sweetheart table. Even our guests commented on how fun their waitstaff was and how great the service was during the party. The food was outstanding, and the venue itself is so beautiful it barely needed any decorating. We could absolutely not have been happier with how everything went.

What can I say about the Barn at Gibbet Hill? I’d give it a million stars if I could! This was the first and only venue we looked at; we walked in and knew it was perfect. Our coordinator, Deirdre, was SPECTACULAR. So kind, helpful, and communicative. The food was unbelievable, and as someone with dietary restrictions, the staff went above and beyond to accommodate myself and my guests. If you’re debating on where to book, look no further! Our wedding was perfect and so many guests have raved, saying it’s the best venue they’ve been to! Thanks so much to Deirdre and the rest of the staff!!!

My wife and I are so happy that we picked the Barn at Gibbet Hill for our wedding venue. From beginning to end, the Barn was always extremely responsive and professional, even when things became increasingly challenging and unpredictable with COVID-19. We initially picked a date in 2020 for our wedding, but were forced to postpone due to the pandemic until 2021. The Barn was very accommodating as we rescheduled, and still allowed us to hold a minimony on our original date. Both days were incredibly special, due in large part to the Barn. We met with our coordinator, Kat, in person and over the phone a number of times leading up to our wedding, and always felt like our questions were being addressed and all details were being accounted for. Kat did a great job making recommendations when we needed them, and helping our plans for the day become a reality. The end result was a perfect wedding day. The venue was beautiful, the entire staff was friendly and professional, and everything went smoothly from beginning to end. We’ve been told by a number of guests that the Barn’s was the best wedding food they’d ever had. The staff also went above and beyond throughout the day to make us feel cared for. We would definitely recommend the Barn for couples looking for a unique and special wedding venue.

Almost 4 months since my wedding and it took me all this time to properly put into words just how outstanding our wedding day was. We got married in the midst of the omicron surge - so leading up to the day I felt like we were going to have to cancel. It was gut wrenching. Bree Oates was our event manager and she was the most calming person to work with. She dealt with all of my crazy questions with such professionalism and was so kind. She reassured us that our day would not be affected - and she helped me feel sane. The day of our wedding was seamless. All of the work Bree had put into our wedding day was so perfectly executed by her staff, there were no hiccups - it was PERFECT. We had Jill as our bridal assistant that day - and oh my GOSH - a life saving angel. She was there at every moment we needed anything - she was AMAZING, she even helped clean my wedding dress after it had gotten mud all over it right before introductions. Every bride needs a Jill - She eliminated any stress that day and I am so thankful. Everything was set up beautifully, the food was delicious, and we are still get compliments 4 months later. If I could do it all over again I would - it was the best day ever. I cannot recommend The Barn at Gibbet bill enough. Flawless.

After visiting a few venues in the area, I'm so, so happy that we chose the Barn at Gibbet Hill. From the start, they were a pleasure to work with. Everyone we worked with there - especially Bree - was friendly and responsive. Our original wedding date was planned to be 3/28/2020. When COVID-19 broke out, Bree helped us navigate rescheduling...twice. Eventually, we settled on 4/2/2022, and the day went off without a hitch!As the venue and the caterer, the Barn made planning super easy. They laid out a clear and concise schedule of when choices and payments needed to be made. The tasting was excellent (which only served to pump us up for the night for the 2+ years we had to wait for the reception!). The venue itself is beautiful, and the Barn had plenty of other decorations available for rent that only supplemented it. I didn't have the time to put a lot of effort into various decorations, but the Barn did a good job of making the event beautiful nonetheless.Everyone at the Barn made the event go off so smoothly and effortlessly on my part. We arrived at the venue early for first looks and pictures, and they had separate areas set up for me and my husband so that we really got that first-look experience. When we arrived at cocktail hour, they brought us food and drink separately to make sure we got to eat. The Barn had several staff that checked in on us throughout the night, making sure we had everything we needed and that we stuck to the schedule. When I say it was effortless on my part, I mean it - everything went off without me having to worry about anything! Even at the end of the night, the staff did a great job of packing everything up and making sure we didn't forget anything on our way out.Overall, our experience at the Barn at Gibbet Hill was amazing. They made planning and executing our wedding incredibly easy and effortless. I would absolutely recommend it to anyone looking to host their event or wedding in the area!

We loved having our wedding at the Barn at Gibbet Hill. One of the most important things to us was the quality of the food, and it did not disappoint - our guests loved it! We also appreciated that it could be served family style. Deirdre Gonsalves, our coordinator, was very responsive with all of our questions and making sure we were well prepared for the big day. Our day of attendant (Heather Swift) went above and beyond, making sure we were taken care of and happy. She even saved the day by helping the bride fix her dress before the ceremony. Everyone one we worked with was great, especially since we had to move our wedding day due to COVID. We look forward to returning on our first anniversary!

The support from the staff, professionalism and organization from the venue, excellent timeline, beautiful space (indoors and out), and FANTASTIC food made this the wedding of our dreams. Our families were continually blown away by the ease of working with this venue, we were so happy with its beauty and vibe, and everyone who attended our wedding cannot stop talking about the food! If you love nature and want a wedding that is extremely elegant and yet not at all stuffy, this is your venue. The all-season deck for cocktail hour is an incredible feature and definitely use Stephanie Chubbuck for drapery! (The venue can link you up with her and she does truly beautiful work in that space.)

They were so great to work with leading up to the event (shout out to Deirdre!) and made the planning process simple. They were very accommodating given not only the pandemic but also the blizzard that wound up hitting that day, and I still can’t believe they were able to pull off the event and not cancel on us! The venue is beautiful, the food is amazing, and I’m so glad we didn’t get married anywhere else. Also our day of attendant, Susan, was very sweet and helpful!

We just got married 2 weeks ago at the Barn at Gibbet Hill and I am still reliving every moment! They are so organized and from the first phone call with our coordinator, Stefanie Schott, we felt at ease, taken care of, and did not have to stress about anything. Gibbet Hill runs such a smooth process and we were able to focus on making decisions on our food and drinks (all of which were incredible!). On the day of, we had Stefanie and 2 other coordinators working to make sure that everything ran smoothly and that we, the couple, had enough to eat and drink the entire night. All of our guests are still commenting on how amazing the food was and how nice and friendly the staff were. Our cocktail hour food was beyond what any guest had ever experienced. All of our guests are still raving about the cinnamon sugar apple cider donuts! The barn is so beautiful and we just added a couple of decorations to enhance it’s beauty. We highly recommend this venue. It is worth every cost and we are so happy with every part of our wedding day.

Deirdre is AMAZING! The most perfect wedding! They go above and beyond. They might be expensive but it is worth it! We have never had a bad meal at Gibbet Hill and the wedding did not disappoint, everyone was so happy with their food! Deirdre was so accommodating and made recommendations based on our personality and needs. She was flexible on EVERYTHING and made it about what we wanted, nothing was a pain and she never said no. We were fish out of water and she guided us and gave great recommendations along the way. She was a true pleasure to work with. She pushed our wedding date for us. Accommodated our million food allergies flawlessly, I can’t say enough about her! It was all perfect! The one thing we asked that we didn’t get was to set aside desserts because we figured we’d forget to grab any. Deirdre had to leave before they were put out so they must have forgotten so we didn’t get any 🤣. So my one recommendation is to put someone in charge day of your wedding to follow up on anything like that since we didn’t think to! One guest also commented that Deirdre’s boss at the end of the night was not so friendly but she was busy packing up our stuff I’m sure she was over it by then aha. But Deirdre was amazing and everyone there LOVED her! And kept complimenting her all night! We even forgot stuff that night and Deirdre contacted me to go pick it up, she didn’t have to do that! It was so sweet of her! Highly highly recommend this venue! And if you can snag Deirdre huge bonus!

BLOWN AWAY. Our wedding at The Barn at Gibbet Hill was absolutely incredible. We have people two weeks later telling us how it was the best wedding they have ever been to. From the start, working with the barn was so easy. We got a wedding coordinator to pretty much do everything in terms of planning and on the day of we had THREE event managers, plus a bride attendant and full staff. They were so attentive and amazing. You can tell they run a tight ship. Our guests are saying it was the best food, not just wedding food, but the best food they've ever had. It was the most perfect venue for our special day and everything was absolutely amazing. The cows even came out! Highly recommend working with Kat and having your wedding here. I want to experience a wedding here as a guest because it was incredible!

If you’re looking for a wedding venue, Gibbet Hill is a MUST. This venue is so incredible; from the space, to the views, food, staff, EVERYTHING. We had the most amazing wedding there and I couldn’t be happier with our selection. We had to postpone our wedding due to covid 3 times and the staff at the Barn could not have been more accommodating. Working with Deirdre was such a joy and she made us feel so completely taken care of. We had meetings and phone calls about our many date changes and she was also so kind and reassuring and it was so appreciated, especially during such a difficult time. The food is absolutely incredible, you won’t find anything better. I had so many guests say it was the best food they’ve ever had at a wedding and normally they don’t finish their food but they ate every last bite. We had the haddock and chicken options and both were outstanding. I loved how when we were taking our bridal party photos they brought us a tray of appetizers so we could enjoy, and then also brought more to our table once we sat down! The venue is absolutely worth every penny, I couldn’t recommend enough. I’m hoping that I’ll get to attend another wedding here because it really is just that special.

We just had our wedding there in Oct & had our ceremony/cocktail up at the ruins & reception on the deck off the Barn. I cannot say enough amazing things about the entire process & the venue itself. Due to COVID our plans changed numerous times & we had to continually make changes including cutting our guest list in half. We worked with Kathleen through the entire process & she was extremely helpful with the rules constantly changing & communicated to us about them. I had some hesitations with the COVID restrictions but having the event outside & smaller guest count allowed us to be more flexible! The day of the event went so smooth & I was beyond happy with the entire day. All of the staff at Gibbet were extremely accommodating that day for us & we cannot thank them enough. Our guests raved about the food, the filet is out of this world! I would highly recommend this venue for anyone looking to get married there.

My husband and I had our ceremony at the castle ruins and our reception on the outside deck which is off the barn. We would highly recommend this venue! We can't begin to express how wonderful our experience was from start to finish. We worked with Sara who was absolutely amazing. She spent many hours with us going over every detail to make our day perfect. Sara was professional, organized, flexible and easy to work with. Due to COVID we had to change plans several times and move the wedding closer to home. We came across The Barn at Gibbet Hill just a two months prior to our wedding date and fell in love with it. We keep saying it was meant to be! The food and cocktails were delicious. Our guests can't stop talking about the short ribs! The day of our wedding was stress free and full of love. I was so pleased with my assistant from Gibbet Hill who was with me for the day. She was beyond helpful and was happy to assist with anything I needed. She even helped my sister bustle my gown before our entrance to the reception! All of the staff were professional, nice, friendly and helpful. We are beyond grateful and can't thank you all enough. Many of our guests continue to say, \"it was the best wedding we have ever been to!\" We would recommend this venue to all. We look forward to coming back for our one year anniversary. I can't say enough wonderful things about The Barn and specifically our coordinator Bree. She kept us informed and up to date from March all the way until October when our microwedding took place. After every email or phone call with Bree I felt reassured and a sense of calm, which is saying a lot coming from a 2020 bride!! Without the support and guidance from Bree I can honestly say we would not be married right now. We would have just postponed but after hearing Bree explain our microwedding options that would allow us to keep the date we were planning for for over 2 years AND (most importantly) how we could keep our immediate family safe we decided to do it. I couldn't be happier with the way everything turned out! All of Bree's suggestions were SPOT on. From the food, to music, to flow of the event you would never know this was our plan B. We can't wait to work with Bree and everyone else at The Barn for our big reception next year!!

In July 2020 we had to completely cancel our original wedding plans for a 120 person wedding in Annapolis in October. We downsized significantly, kept our original date of 10/17/20 and pivoted to 25 person micro wedding at the Barn @ GH. Wow, we are so incredibly glad we made this decision. Every single person we worked with leading up to the event and on the day was absolutely amazing. Our coordinator, Deirdre, was just perfect. She was so well organized and thought of every single detail. When I panicked about the weather forecast the week of the wedding, she had a call with me simply to review the alternatives and reassure me it would still be amazing. (Thankfully the weather held out for us!)The day of the wedding the Barn looked spectacular. Every single staff member was so quick to help and answer any questions. The food was AMAZING. And the timing of the food was exactly what it should be. I would recommend the Barn to anyone. Seriously, it was so perfect.

When COVID-19 affected our beach wedding plans, my husband and I knew we had to look into getting married at The Barn At Gibbet Hill. We both solely agree that getting married at Gibbet Hill was the best decision we have ever made. Our big day was beyond perfect and we truly could not have asked for more from a wedding venue. We planned our wedding 3 weeks in advance and were under a lot of stress and time crunches. Sara was our wedding coordinator and made the entire planning process easy, stress-free and enjoyable. Sara always felt like she was only a phone call away and was very responsive to our emails. From the charger set up, to the menu cards, to the antique display and our chairs, Sara excelled at making my wedding dreams come true. If you are big foodies like my husband and I, our guests and us all agreed that The Barn at Gibbet Hill has the best steak ever offered at any wedding we have been to. Also, the maple brown sugar cookies are to die for and guests are still talking about them. If you are even thinking about getting married at The Barn at Gibbet Hill do it!!

We got married at The Barn at Gibbet Hill in January 2020 and it was the best decision we made in planning. Our venue search was long and we never felt like it was the one until we went to Gibbet Hill. Sara was our wedding coordinator and she made the planning process very manageable which was made a bit difficult because we were living in Montreal at the time. She was quick to respond to emails and calls and was very flexible, which made planning a wedding from a far very easy. When the day finally came, I walked into the barn for our reception and it was simply breathtaking. It was everything I dreamed of and more. The staff did an amazing job setting everything up the way I wanted and we were greeted immediately. Melissa was our event manager for the night and she did a great job keeping the timeline on track. We requested that they make a family drink for our signature drink that they have never heard of and they were able to create it perfectly. The food was DELICIOUS! All of our guests were raving about the food and how it was “the best wedding food they have ever had!” We were taken care of the entire night and every staff member went above and beyond to help make the day go perfectly. Our friends and family were blown away by the service that was given to them all. Thank you to each and every staff member at the Barn, you made our dream wedding come true!

My husband and I are so happy that we choose the Barn at Gibbet Hill for our wedding. We choose to have the ceremony on the lawn, and the beauty of the setting speaks for itself. During our ceremony, we were surprised to hear Rhianna start blasting through the speakers from the soccer fields at Lawrence Academy – but hey, it certainly made it memorable. The deck and the reception were exactly what we had envisioned for our wedding day. The lofts inside the barn helped add a fun feel to an otherwise formal atmosphere of the barn. We used one of the lofts to enter from during our introduction, and it was so fun getting to watch as our parents and wedding party entered. The food at the venue speaks for itself, and months later, we are still getting rave reviews from guests. We can’t wait until our anniversary meal! The staff at the Barn were also exceptional. Although every detail of the day did not go exactly how I had planned it, the staff at the Barn were amazing, and I really can’t imagine the day any differently. Sara was our Event Coordinator. Throughout the process, she was always professional and quick to respond to our many questions. The day of our wedding, the entire staff took such good care of us, and made us feel relaxed and able to enjoy the day. I had initially been a little hesitant to use a wedding venue that hosted so many weddings as I really did not want to be just another bride on their long list. However, choosing a venue that is well experienced in hosting, helped minimize my stress and helped make the day everything it was. Plus, day of our wedding, I felt like the only bride out there. I would definitely recommend the Barn at Gibbet Hill to future couples looking for an amazing wedding venue.

We just had a wonderful Saturday morning wedding and reception at Gibbet Hill. Everything was perfect - from the decor, to the food and drinks, to all of our vendors working together to make sure our time there was awesome. Deirdre - our Gibbet Hill wedding coordinator - even came to the rescue after the bustle on my wedding gown broke and Deirdre (or should I say MacGyver...) fashioned a handy safety pin bustle that worked perfectly. My husband and our families were attended to personally to make sure we had everything we needed, from drinks to appetizers to food and cake. From start to finish, the staff at Gibbet Hill showed an interest in our business and we felt that we were well taken care of. The tasting event was top notch not only because of the food and drink, but also because we could meet other couples getting married around the same time we were. The list of preferred vendors provided by Gibbet Hill was key for us to plan our wedding. What people say about Gibbet Hill is true! As we were planning our wedding people said \"Oh, I've been to a wedding there and it was best I've ever been to!\" Not only did that promise come true, but we would recommend Gibbet Hill to anyone looking for an attentive venue that cares about your special day.

I never would've expected to receive so many compliments on my wedding months afterward, yet this is just how amazing the Barn at Gibbet Hill really is! The professionalism, the staff, the food, the atmosphere, the attention to detail - everything was wonderful. Even when the unforeseen happened (my husband forgot his suit at home, delaying the ceremony), Sara and the rest of the staff calmly and professionally kept things moving. My husband and I, along with friends and family, had an overwhelmingly positive experience. Early in the planning process/venue search, I got the impression that a venue can easily make or break a wedding for many couples/guests, and I feel incredibly fortunate to have found this one. The Barn at Gibbet Hill is perfect for charming, rustic elegance and a worry-free, memorable event. I absolutely cannot recommend them enough!

The Barn at Gibbet Hill is what wedding dreams are made of!!!! This venue gave me butterflies from the moment I saw it online. I remember driving to see it with my mother in law for the first time and I couldn't stop smiling. Immediately after touring the venue I called my parents and said \"THIS IS IT!\". It was a no brainer. Every staff member, every meeting, every detail calmed my wedding anxieties. I mainly worked with Sara from The Barn and she was so easy to talk to and never made me feel crazy for my many, MANY emails. She helped coordinate my wedding from across the country and did incredible keeping my nerves at bay. (Thank you so much for that Sara!) On the day of the wedding I felt completely at ease! Sara had covered every possible question or concern that I had for the big day that there was NOTHING left to worry about. As a bride that is a big freaking deal. The day went on flawlessly. Sara was there to make sure everything took off smoothly and introduced us to our wedding day helper, Emily. She was so sweet and attentive and made sure all our wedding day needs were met! You will not regret having this team be a part of your big day. From the first venue tour to your wedding day you will be taken care of. The BEST wedding venue by far! Not only is the location and barn breathtakingly beautiful, but the staff is incredible. We worked with Bree as our wedding coordinator and she was amazing - so helpful, organized and responsive - throughout the months leading up to the big day and on the day itself. She truly made planning the wedding and the day of seamless and stress free - we knew we were in good hands. The rest of the day-of staff were amazing as well - our bridal attendant Jill was fabulous and was always there when we needed something. There were so many reasons we chose The Barn for our wedding: great food, a gorgeous setting, and a team of people there to help us plan and make our day run smoothly. Along the process, however, the team at The Barn far exceeded our initial, already-high expectations!First off, our wedding coordinator Sara was super helpful in the planning process. She navigated us through all of the small details we wouldn't have thought of on our own, and saved us a lot of stress later on. Even if Sara wasn't in the office when I called with my questions/requests, another member of the Gibbet Hill team was there to help answer our questions and get done what needed to get done. I am very grateful she was there to iron out the last minute details the day before the wedding and help me keep my sanity in the midst of family-induced stress! I was additionally so impressed with how seamlessly our wedding day flowed. No matter what last-minute challenges presented themselves, the Gibbet Hill team got everything taken care of and I felt completely stress-free on our day. We even had a bridal party attendant who did a FABULOUS job helping me and the wedding party navigate the day.Not to mention the food was spectacular. As someone who isn't the biggest fan of salads, their farm pickup salad was one of the most delicious things I've ever eaten. Many of our wedding guests raved that it was the best wedding they ever attended. We strongly recommend you book The Barn at Gibbet Hill for your wedding!

My husband and I just got married at Gibbet Hill in July and we had such a wonderful day. We couldn't have asked for a more perfect venue. Everything moved seamlessly from start to finish and neither of us (nor our parents) ever felt stressed about how things were going. Sara was our wedding coordinator through the entire process (including our initial tour!)- she made all the decision-making easy and fun. We were amazed at how much we accomplished during our meetings with her and really appreciated the opinions and advice she offered us on details we would never have even thought of. And on the flip side, she was super willing to work with us on changes to the standard format we asked for to make our day special, including multiple different dietary restrictions for our guests. Of course, it goes without saying that the venue itself is beautiful and the food is to die for! We highly recommend Gibbet Hill as a wedding venue!!

The food at The Barn At Gibbet Hill is beyond incredible. When we had our tasting it was a group of about 35 couples and each filet was perfectly cooked medium rare and they came out the exact same way for every one of our guests and we had 150 guests! The salmon on the tasting was juicy and flavorful, not dry or overcooked and every one of our guests raved about all of the appetizers (especially the raw bar), and the food. The hospitality and response of our wedding planner Sara was perfect, she kept us in the loop with not too much or too little contact. Sara made sure all of my vendors were there on time and organized all of that without us having to worry about a thing. The picturesque setting of the barn is excellent for photos. Wish we could have a wedding every day there :)

Amazing food, great accommodations (dance floor, porch, spacious dining room - no decorations needed!), a beautiful view, a lawn, and, on top of it all, staff that will take care of your every need!We have a last-minute guest show-up that we did not get an RSVP for and when we called the venue 15 minutes before showing up, they did not blink an eye! The staff was able to add a place setting and I didn't have to deal with anything! They helped us with every step of the planning and on the day-of, we have a specific staff person who took care of us: they brought us champagne, wine, hors d'oeuvres, told us when dinner was ready and guided us back to our seats. We were SO RELAXED on the day of the wedding. Bringing all of the decorations (just simple table candle lanterns), guest book, and mini candles ahead of time was also super easy to do and they set it all up for us. If you are looking for a venue that has great quality for value, look no further. If you try a DYI, it might end up costing you the same, but cause you infinite more headaches since you will have to manage the day yourself.

I am so happy that I chose to get married at Gibbet Hill. Our day of coordinator Bree was absolutely incredible and the day went off without a hitch. They know what they're doing. Everyone working did a great job to keep us on our timeline and ensure that everything ran smooth. It was such a wonderful experience to know on the day of our wedding that I didn't need to worry about anything because we were in good hands. Many of our guests have commended on how wonderful the venue, staff and food were! The grounds are impeccable and I wouldn't have changed a single thing about our wedding.

There aren't enough incredible adjectives to describe our wedding at The Barn. Bree was the most incredible planner and made us feel like we were the only people who would ever call The Barn our home for our wedding. I cannot tell you how many cards, emails, and letters we received weeks following our wedding thanking us for having them - the food is AMAZING - start to finish and just simply too many good things to choose from. Jill, our special special friend for the night took SUCH good care of us and always made certain that we had everything we needed. Our guests felt like royalty and that is saying a lot for 175+ on a cold, blustery night.

Gorgeous venue at an excellent discount for our winter wedding. Booking the venue included a dedicated wedding coordinator who met with us twice in person in the months leading up to our wedding to prompt us to think about timing and details we might have otherwise overlooked. She accommodated so many of our requests, from serving a wine secured by a family member, to working with my wife's mother to surprise us with a paper airplane onslaught in the aisle. The catering staff was all in-house, along with the food and preparation, and it was delicious. We got to taste everything a few months beforehand, and had no trouble finding delicious options for all our vegetarian and gluten free guests. The venue package also included cake from one of two bakeries. On the day itself, the catering staff was incredibly kind and thoughtful. We even had a personal attendant to make sure we had enough food and drink, that our plates were covered while we greeted people, and that we stayed on schedule. The staff was able to comfortably move our nearly 200 guests between the ceremony, cocktail, and reception spaces while they changed setups, and it was all done quickly and professionally.

Where do I start on trying to describe the amazing experience we had having our wedding at Gibbet Hill? If I could give more then 5 stars I would. The staff is simply amazing. They were very easy to work with from the start, super organized, and prompt with responses. They have a detailed recommended vendor list to give you a helpful starting point, and of course amazing decor/scenery to make the venue a classic New England wedding venue.Deirdre was our initial contact with Gibbet and ended up being our wedding coordinator as well. We worked so well with her because we shared the same detailed oriented, organized way of thinking. She had everything down to the minute planned out which helped us feel better about the timeline of the big day. Deirdre was there for any questions and was super prompt and detailed about all portions of the big day. The day of the wedding was amazing, literally nothing went wrong and in large part to the staff and Deirdre. They are so professional and make everything as magical as you could imagine for your wedding day. The food was amazing and there was plenty to go round! We had 144 guests which we felt was a great size and helped fill the venue to make it feel full but not overcrowded. Our guests raved all night about the venue and the beauty of it which made us very happy for choosing Gibbet. We had a bridal attendant who was with my wife and I the entire time checking on us making sure we didn't need anything. It was an amazing experience and we felt so well taken care of. I feel like I couldn't possibly touch on every portion of our wedding day and the planning that went into it but I would say without hesitation if your considering getting married at Gibbet just do it and you will never regret it. We are so very thankful we did and couldn't recommend it enough.

The process of planning your wedding can be a huge, daunting task, but everyone we worked with at The Barn at Gibbet Hill made it as easy as possible and put us at ease. There were several planning meetings with Kathleen, where we worked out all the details and she was always willing to give her advice on things we were unsure of. They set us up in the online tool, AllSeated, to plug in the details of our guests, the floorplan, our guests meals, and it even lets you add notes about food allergies.We wanted to keep things as simple as we could, and they never pushed us to do more than what we were comfortable with. We also had last minute changes to guests lists and seating arrangements and they were always quick to help and never made us feel bad for what I’m sure was additional work for them. On the day of the wedding, we had Jodie as the bridal attendant who always made sure I had what I needed and then some. My only regret is that I didn’t get to spend MORE time with her! She helped me with everything, from taking my giant white fur cape from me while we were taking outdoor photos, to grabbing my purse out of the basement while we were eating dinner. I think she knew how concerned we were with making sure all of our guests were having a great time, and she frequently checked in with me to give me the feedback she’d been hearing throughout the day - it really helped to hear it from a neutral third party, rather than guests who feel obligated to tell you things are great when asked by the bride and groom themselves! She was amazing and you should count yourself lucky if you get to work with her on your wedding day, too.All of the staff at The Barn was wonderful - they made sure we got to try all the apps we’d chosen for our cocktail hour, that we were comfortable, and that our guests were having a great time as well. They took the noted food allergies very seriously (as they should) and put our guests at ease with their willingness to accommodate requests and changes. The Barn is gorgeous, and while you can certainly add additional decorations, we didn’t. We wanted to keep things simple and the space is so beautiful on its own, we didn’t feel like it needed anything extra. We chose to have their vintage ladders for our arbor, and our florist laid a large, beautiful eucalyptus runner across the top (which was then placed on our table for dinner). We provided a couple dozen white votive candles to add a little interest, but that was it. They lined our aisle for the ceremony with lovely lanterns, and then those were placed on the tables for dinner (along with the provided votive candles). It was great how many things they were able to repurpose from our ceremony for the reception. We had our wedding on a cold February day, so the heated deck was the perfect space for our cocktail hour (a little over 50 people). Really the only “add on” we did was that we opted to add the white lounge furniture out on the deck, and I’m glad we did - it was used consistently throughout the night by our guests. The space was exactly what we wanted for our wedding day - spacious, beautiful, and full of character. I escaped to one of the loft areas a couple times through the night to take a break from all the hustle and bustle, and it was perfect - I got to take a breather, and I had an amazing view to look down on all the fun being had. Even without snow, the grounds were still beautiful with the rolling hills, pond, and beautiful barn.

Diedre, our head planner, was extremely helpful, detail oriented, and ensured there were no surprises and everything went off on time and with no issues. It was great to have everything taken care of so we could focus on just enjoying the evening.The food, beverages, and specialty cocktails were fantastic. The local area and beautiful views from the patio were wonderful. It was the perfect combination for a quintessential New England fall wedding. All in all a home run from the folks at the Barn at Gibbet Hill. We would gladly refer any of our friends or family there in the future.

We became interested in potentially using The Barn at Gibbet Hill as our wedding venue first and foremost because of the gorgeous photos that we saw online that had been taken there. We set up a visit about a year before the wedding (we got married in July 2018) and upon arrival and throughout the tour we were in awe of that fact that the landscape and the barn itself were able to exceed our expectations. The place doesn’t really need much decoration because it has so much to offer in and of itself. During our tour and discussion with a member of the sales team, we found many other reasons to fall in love with this venue. They offer an immense amount of help in coordinating your big day, as well as provide you with a list of preferred vendors to make it easy for you to find the people who will make your wedding everything want (and more, really). All of the vendors on the list looked great, and we could not have been happier with the ones we chose. In addition, most of them have worked at Gibbet Hill many times so they are familiar with the layout and the typical timeline of the wedding day. Since many of them often partner with Gibbet Hill, some will also offer you a “preferred venue” discount; anywhere you can save money on a wedding always feels nice. Not only do they make finding outside vendors easy, they cater the wedding with food freshly picked from their farm. The food they make there is delicious (not like lots of wedding food that you hear about) and you are invited to a tasting a few months before the wedding to help you make decisions about what you want on your menu. As for the wedding cake, they give you a credit for a cake made by Montilio’s Bakery. The cake was to die for (we did two tiers of their presidential cake and one of carrot cake) and looked beautiful. All in all, there really isn’t anything we would have changed about our experience here, especially the wonderful staff that made sure everything went smoothly the entire night and were attentive to anything that we needed or questions we had (both before, during and even after the wedding). You will not regret your decision to get married here, but make sure to book early because their days fill up fast!

My wife and I just got married at GH and we couldn't have had a more amazing experience. The Barn is absolutely beautiful and the staff does a tremendous job setting up everything that you want. We had Kathleen as our wedding planner and she was incredible. She was there for us every step of the way and very responsive to all of our emails. On the night of the wedding, my wife and I were taken care of the very second we walked in. We had personal servers that got us everything we needed and couldn't have been more pleasant. The food is so amazing and fresh, you can't go wrong with anything you choose. We also loved that he bars (2) were out on the deck. It's a great space and provides a spot for people to escape the music for a few seconds and get some fresh air. We would recommend people to check out The Barn at Gibbet Hill for any special event, especially a wedding. The service is first class and the food is dynamite.

Such a beautiful venue with so much character that requires MINIMUM decorations- the barn truly decorates itself along with the decorations included from the venue. The grounds are beautiful and make the perfect place for an outdoor ceremony. Bree was such a helpful wedding coordinator throughout the entire process! Jill was such a sweetheart and a great bridal attendant. Andrea was also so helpful especially helping to wrap up the night and I appreciated all the Gibbet Hill team and all their hard work. Even before my wedding, when I would tell people I'm getting married at Gibbet Hill they would all speak so highly of the food. The food truly did not disappoint and was phenomenal and all our guests were so pleased. If you choose Gibbet Hill you'll have a great team behind you, a beautiful venue, and very happy guests!

This venue is truly second to none. Not only is it unbelievably beautiful and the food outstanding, but the service was impeccable. We had pretty high expectations for our wedding day and Sara Lin exceeded those expectations from the moment we met her. We never once felt uneasy about our plans, she was so incredibly thorough, but not in a pushy or intrusive way. Our day of bridal attendant (whose name is escaping me), was also wonderful. She was like a fairy godmother and would just magically appear to hand us snacks/drinks, really anything we needed. They were so on top of everything and even though they run hundreds of weddings a year, we felt like ours was truly unique and special. The service was unreal!The food was also some of the best we've ever had (not even just at weddings). The portions were huge, we had hangar steak and stuffed chicken for options. Everyone loved both. Even my chef uncle said it was some of the best food he's had. We also had a few dietary restrictions and we had planned to take care of them ourselves, but Sara Lin got in contact with those guests herself and made them meals that were suitable for them. The appetizers were unbelievable and I still get comments on how good they were and how beautifully they were presented. We also got late night snacks of grilled cheese and tacos, which were unreal! The donuts (our dessert) were displayed in such a pretty way and were warm and delicious. Drinks were also delicious, I don't even think I ever went to the bar because our bridal attendant had a new drink as we were taking the last sips. The barn itself is beautiful with minimal decorations. One of my favorite parts is the heated deck. Since our wedding was in the winter, this was such a cool space to utilize and was stunning with the view! The lofts made for the perfect place for my new husband and myself to enjoy the first few moments of marriage and the getting ready room and bathroom downstairs were perfect for the bridal party beforehand. Having our ceremony in the same space as our reception was seamless (having the deck for cocktail hour really helped) and our ceremony pictures are beautiful. I cannot recommend this venue enough, it truly was perfect. I have a lot of friends getting married right now and they are stressed about their venue changing hands, not being responsive, being pushy with decor or food, etc, and it makes me so grateful for everyone at the barn. There was not a single time I felt stressed about our wedding and I truly believe it's because of Sara Lin and her staff. They helped us make our day perfect in every way and completely unforgettable. Thank you!!

The Barn was the most PERFECT wedding venue we ever could've imagined. They made everything easy for us and enjoyable every step of the way. It was so much smoother to have the catering included in the venue and not have to worry about making even more decisions when it comes to this along with including the price of chairs/tables/etc. I've heard other couples having to search for these vendors separately and I can't even imagine doing that along with everything else that has to be done! The food was INCREDIBLE and they have a group tasting for couples to go to which was also a dream come true!!! For everything included and the service they provided they were very reasonably priced and we were so impressed with how easily they made everything flow on our wedding day. Bree was our wedding planner and she was fantastic, we truly feel lucky to have had her along our journey and can't imagine planning the wedding without her. She made me feel like a princess on our wedding day and helped me be able to relax!!! Obviously the venue is perfect in every way, the outdoor ceremony was beautiful and the backup plan of moving indoors also looked insanely beautiful. We loved having the cows mooing in the background during our ceremony too lol! The only thing to be aware of is the stone stairs leading down to the lawn during the outdoor ceremony - we had some grandparents who participated in the procession and walked down the stairs but definitely have an escort on each arm of them for this! It just makes life easier for them even though they ended up being just fine getting down with one person escorting each of them during our wedding =) We cannot say enough good things about this venue and HIGHLY RECOMMEND them to everyone!!!!!!

I can't say enough good things about the Barn at Gibbet Hill. My husband and I got married at the end of April, and we are still talking about what an amazing job they did to make our day unforgettable. Throughout the entire planning process - which was about a year for us - they were consummate professionals, initiating planning meetings, tastings, and coordinating my vendors behind the scenes. Our wedding coordinator, Kat, was amazing! She never flinched with my random requests, was always honest about expectations and options for our big day, and she answered my emails within hours every time. The venue is gorgeous - even in the rain our ceremony was beautiful inside the barn and our pictures look perfect against the red backdrop of the barn on the porch. Our day of attendant was fabulous - Jodi was as happy as we were to celebrate our big day (and we're still grateful she sat my husband and I down and made us enjoy our dinner!). The food was fantastic and all of our guests couldn't stop raving about the meals!

We are so happy that we chose the Barn at Gibbet Hill for our April wedding. The space itself was gorgeous, and the food was phenomenal--we knew when all of our other vendors raved about the food that it would be good, but many of our guests said that it was the best wedding food they've ever tasted. Our coordinator, Kathleen, was super responsive and accommodating with all of our questions and last-minute requests, and as a bride who was admittedly pretty clueless about everything that needed to go into planning a wedding, I really appreciated how Kathleen made sure that nothing fell through the cracks throughout the planning process. The entire team staffing our wedding was amazing. Jill, our bridal attendant, made us feel so well taken care of all night, checking in to see if we needed a fresh drink and saving hors d'oeuvres and cake for us in case we didn't have time to grab it ourselves. We can't recommend this venue highly enough!

We absolutely loved this venue from the minute we walked in the door. It is gorgeous with rustic beams, beautiful chandeliers, and flowing hills. We had a February wedding, so everything was indoors. They have clear covers on the patio during the winter, so you still get to enjoy the outdoor space. Everything turned out beautifully. We worked with Deirdre Gonsalves, the wedding coordinator/sales director. We thought she was THE BEST. She was prompt, responsive, professional, thorough, and to the point. She made sure everything went smoothly, and my husband and I didn't worry about a thing. There was minimal stress when it came to planning with this venue. The food & drinks were AMAZING, and it's one of the reasons we booked this venue. We also loved having dinner at Gibbet Hill Grill following any of the on site meetings :). We definitely recommend this wedding venue!!!!

I cannot express deep enough how wonderful of a job they did for my wedding. It was perfect from beginning to end. The staff was amazing and made sure the day flowed and that the bride and groom were happy and not stressed. The venue itself was completely amazing and completely wowed our guests. We had our ceremony and reception there. The staff was able to turn over the room within 15 minutes while our guests enjoyed cocktail hour on the deck overlooking the amazing landscape. The food was delicious! The staff was completely amazing from the time I had first contacted them til the wedding day! They completely handled any issue or question I had in a timely fashion and respectfully. I just wish I had another event host there!

Beyond the Food, which consistently impresses with flavor and visual appeal. They were hands down the most professional, accommodating and thoughtful bunch of people we have ever come into contact with. Too many names could be listed here. Our Wedding Coordinator, Sara Lin McCay, was wonderful. She was confident and innovative. Her direction and design were flawless. Our Bridal Attendant was sensational. She made us both feel like we were the most important people on the planet, for five straight hours. She was selflessly thoughtful and we could never thank her enough.Simply put. We felt nothing less than royalty. They were amazing!

We could not be more thrilled that we chose Gibbet Hill for our wedding venue. From the first time that we booked Gibbet Hill to our wedding day, the entire wedding planning process was a dream. First, the venue. Gibbet Hill is gorgeous. The grounds, the porch, the barn – everything is beautiful and kept up to the most perfect standards. Our guests couldn't stop raving about how incredible and unique the venue was. Gibbet Hill provides all of the food (except the cake) and much of the produce comes directly from their farm. The food is OUTSTANDING. I can't even count how many people told us it was the best food they had ever had at a wedding. The hors d'oeuvres during the cocktail hour, the plated meals, the dessert bar, the thank you donuts – everything was superb and every guest left absolutely stuffed. The drinks were also fantastic, and they were strong, which I thought was amazing given that we were having an open bar and many weddings have relatively weak drinks. When we were choosing a wedding venue, we did not realize how important the venue is for the entire wedding day. Gibbet Hill took care of almost everything and in the scheme of things, there was little I needed to coordinate myself. Sara Lin was our wedding coordinator and we could not love her more. From our first meeting to our hundreds of emails back and forth, she was kind, professional, and so caring. She had an incredible way of being so efficient and so detail-oriented yet at the same time being calming and relieving our stress. In the final weeks leading up to our wedding, our family was quite stressed about many little details of the wedding day and I kept telling everyone \"Sara Lin has it\" or \"just follow what Sara Lin says.\" I felt 100% confident that the day was going to run smoothly because Sara Lin was there. I dropped our wedding decorations off several days before the event and Sara Lin put everything together on the day of the wedding. When I arrived before our first-look, she gave me a tour of the space and how she had incorporated all of our decorations and I was BLOWN AWAY. She not only enacted my vision but she made everything even more incredible than I had imagined. I should stop gushing. The rest of the staff was also stupendous and the Chef went so far out of her way to work with us to create the menu we were looking for. The day of our wedding, it rained and I was nervous we wouldn't be able to have our ceremony out on the lawn. But all of the staff pulled together to wipe down all of the chairs and place all of our decorations outside as soon as it stopped raining in order for us to be outside. We cannot recommend Gibbet Hill more highly and feel just so glad that we chose Gibbet Hill as our wedding venue. We can't wait to go back for our 1 year anniversary dinner!!

You know the saying \"something always goes wrong on your wedding day?\" Well, it's simply not possible if you choose this venue. My husband and I were BLOWN AWAY by the attentiveness of the Gibbet Hill's staff. Andrea, Jill and Deirdre catered to our every need, and our guests every need. My father-in-law has ulcertive colitis, so he's severely limited in what he can eat. The Barn not only accommodated for his dietary needs, but they made sure to continue to check on him throughout the night to ensure he was satisfied. The Barn makes getting married and planning for a ceremony & reception EASY. They truly do it ALL for you. As the bride, I didn't have to worry about a thing. I didn't once have to think if everyone was in the right place at the right time, when we should cut the cake, etc. Everything was taken care of us by our amazing event staff, Andrea, Deirdre and Jill. I'm also not the best with decorations, but Deirdre took everything I provided and it turned it into wedding perfection! It looked like a day straight from a magazine. On behalf of my husband and I, I want to thank all of you for making us feel like Kings and Queens and helping us put on a beautiful wedding. If you're looking for a wedding venue to celebrate the biggest day of your life, look no further than the Barn! 10/10 would recommend!

Amazing experience from start to finish. If you appreciate a beautiful venue, delicious food, and great customer service - this is your place! I worked with Sara and she was awesome. She patiently answered all of our questions, provided suggestions and gently steered us in the right direction when we started veering off course. The staff at Gibbet made sure all our guests were taken care of, and for that I can't thank them enough!

We recently got married at the Barn and it was amazing. Our wedding happened to fall on the day of a blizzard and the venue was great. They made sure everything went off without a problem. Very accommodating to my family, my bridal party, my dog, my husband, and myself- what more could you ask for? I still get compliments on the food!

My wife Stephanie and I recently got married at the Barn at Gibbet Hill, and we could not be happier with our choice. From the beginning, the staff at the Barn was outstanding–they were so responsive, extremely organized, and clear about the process. On our wedding day, the staff did a wonderful job attending to all the details, from flipping the room for the reception and dancing, to getting Stephanie and I appetizers and drinks at the beginning of the reception. Deirdre, our coordinator at the venue, was an absolute pleasure to work with–extremely friendly, detail-oriented, and a true professional in her field. From our first meeting, Stephanie and I knew we were in good hands and need not worry about anything having to do with venue. Speaking of which, the Barn is a beautiful place that perfectly fit our vision in terms of setting and aesthetic. The space has a rustic and warm yet elegant feel, and the hilly, rural scenery outside makes for fantastic pictures during any season (we lucked out and had snow the day of our wedding, so we were blessed with snow-covered hills as a backdrop–it could not have been better). The Barn is a medium-sized venue, and it was perfect for the size of our group (91 people). There was plenty of room on the dance floor, and the fact that the bar is located off the dining room on the enclosed, heated porch area was perfect for those guests who wanted to escape, grab a drink, or hang out in a quieter space to chat. One of the main reasons we were initially interested in the Barn was for their renowned food and drink (across from the Barn is the sister operation, the Grill at Gibbet Hill, so the Barn has a serious food pedigree). Dinner at the reception–Guinness braised beef short ribs and salmon with fennel-was simply outstanding, and we received numerous compliments from our guests. Often we would say, \"Yeah, we know–why do you think we've been telling you about how good the food is going to be at the wedding for months?\" That the venue allows a late-night dessert is pretty awesome, so we had to take advantage of it. We chose to serve the cinnamon sugar doughnut holes...ridiculously good and the perfect combination with some end of the evening coffee. I can't say enough good things about the Barn. It was everything we were hoping for and more: it was beautiful, charming, and comfortable, and I think all of our guests had a wonderful time and felt well taken care of. Thank you to the amazing staff at the Barn–it's because of your effort and talents that the Barn is one of the premier wedding venues in Massachusetts!

The Barn at Gibbet Hill was the absolute perfect place for our December 2016 wedding. We chose Gibbet Hill for the beautiful barn and delicious food, it was even better on our wedding day! Our guests have been raving about the beautiful space, delicious food and overall event!Sara made the planning process easy, she was responsive, provided great insights/feedback and helped make sure our day was everything we wanted it to be, even helping to secure a last minute coat check when I changed my mind that week! On the day of, the staff at Gibbet Hill made sure every detail was taken care of, Jodi (who was wonderful) checked in on me and brought me some apps when I didn't have a chance to eat. Sara and Angela kept every little detail of the event flowing perfectly. Then at the end of the night, the staff helped pack up everything. They truly made the whole process a wonderful experience!I cannot say enough great things about Gibbet Hill! Thank you for everything!

I knew that the Barn at Gibbet Hill was our venue from the beginning. We booked them back in Jan 2015 for our June 2016 wedding. It can be on the pricey side, but our guests still talk about the amazing food served at our wedding and picturesque scenery. We worked with Sara Lin M. throughout our wedding planning process. Sara Lin and the entire crew there were always available for any questions that came up. The food selection is amazing, most of their options are gluten free. Even the vegetarian options were plentiful! I think the only qualm I had was the wedding cake vendor, we found a flavor option eventually but it definitely took some work. Also cake placement, probably not the best idea to have sliced cake on display behind the dance floor where no one could see it. Other than that our day went off without one hitch related to Gibbet. I don't know if there were issues behind the scenes but we would have never known. It really turned out perfect! I would highly highly recommend this venue to anyone!

My wife and I held our rehearsal dinner at Gibbet Hill in Oct 2016. We live in Cambridge and didn't know the area very well so we did a lot of research and Gibbet Hill was one of the top 2-3 venues we found online, and definitely lived up to expectations. We had just over 20 people in their upstairs space, which was perfectly sized for mingling and a cocktail hour, as well as two long tables for dinner. The space is rustic, very handsome, and nicely appointed, we didn't feel the need to decorate at all.The food was exceptional too, we had been to eat previously and it was real good, but the food at the rehearsal was exquisite. The seasonal soup in particular was noteworthy to me and the mains were also delicious. Service was solid and everyone had plenty of drinks and food. There were multiple comments about how great the food was from guests.We scheduled and coordinated with Ashley, who was very easy to work with. We had a lot of other vendors who were total flakes that caused us much anxiety, but Ashley and Gibbet were fantastic partners. 5 out of 5, which really can't be underestimated imo.Bottom line: Gibbet Hill is excellent. If it's on your list and you're considering, it save yourself some time and just book it.

Of Banquet Operations:It is with sincere pleasure that I write this letter of commendation for Sara Lin McCay, Sales Director. I’ve had the pleasure of knowing Sara Lin since March of 2015. From the beginning of our journey arranging for my daughter’s wedding, I knew that we had chosen the perfect venue for the wedding ceremony and reception.Sara Lin was/is the utmost professional as she gently guided us with her expertise. She was always very responsive with our emails, as she would clarify any questions we might have had. The wedding booking contract and any and all other information was sent to us in a very timely fashion. During the rehearsal, it was evident that Sara Lin had listened to all of us regarding placement of special items at the wedding. She had put a great deal of time into her preparation as was noted by her drawings and notes. Her complete focus was on the wedding.On the day of the wedding, Sara Lin was THE calming factor for all of us. Everything that she said was going to happen..happened. We all knew that Sara Lin was in control and that we had nothing to worry about. She was the gentle presence from afar.We were sad when she had to leave but she placed our care into the hands of her very capable assistant whom I believe was Karina. Our wait person, Sandra, was also outstanding. In fact, you should be proud of your whole staff. When the evening was over, the “troops” came out and within minutes, everything was packed up for us. It was incredible!May I say that every one of our guests had a wonderful time, as we kept hearing, “This is the best wedding that I’ve ever been to!” “The food was delicious and everything was hot!” “The service is outstanding!”, etc. Most importantly, the bride and groom were VERY pleased with EVERYTHING! IT WAS PERFECT!!!!!!In closing, I just wanted to say that Sara Lin is the consummate professional. When she says that she is going to do something…it gets done. What a pleasure it has been to work with a professional! I wouldn't even say the staff at Gibbet Hill, I'd like to say SUPER STARS, HEROS, AMAZINGGGG group of people that work here!!\r\rOur wedding coordinator Diedre was always SUPER responsive, very knowledgeable, and quite possible the most patient human I have ever met! She made this whole process so much easier! She was always quick to respond to questions and her guidance was priceless.\r\rThe staff there on my wedding day was nothing short of amazing, quick to help, and very reactive. I tore the tulle under my dress and kept tripping on it, and before I knew it someone was coming to me with scissors to cut a piece off for me, food came out fast, and my wedding flowed wonderfully.\r\rThey made my wedding night PERFECT. I was beyond impressed! They decorated beautifully and improved the vision I had in mind. Exceeded my expectations on every level.

We had THE BEST wedding! So many of our guests told us that our wedding was the best they had ever been to. The Barn is gorgeous and the food is amazing. Everything was perfect. Deirdre was our event planner and she was thorough and patient throughout the entire process. She was amazing to work with and answered my every question! Jodie, our bridal attendant, was so fabulous on the day of our wedding. She made sure we were well taken care of during the entire reception. \r\rThe food at The Barn is amazing; the best wedding food you will ever have. The servers are so kind and responsive. \r\rThis was the greatest, most picturesque place we could have ever dreamed of having our wedding.

The Barn at Gibbet Hill is a great location to host a wedding! My wife and I had our wedding there in early October, and looking back it was a great decision. They handle everything well and worked with us step by step throughout the entire wedding planning process, making it as easy as it can be.\r\rWe especially want to thank Deirdre Gonsalves, one of the Sales Directors and our partner throughout the process, for all the work she did before and during the ceremony and reception. My wife and I didn’t have the first clue about what goes into planning a wedding, and all of the small details that need to be considered. However, thanks to Deirdre and the staff at Gibbet Hill, many of our guests said that this was one of the most beautiful weddings they had ever attended. The food and drinks were extremely delicious as well.

Gibbet Hill is an amazing venue and they did a fantastic job for my September 25th 2015 wedding! The food was delicious and all of my guests were very impressed by the food and the beauty of the barn. I worked with Deirdre, who did an awesome job and was great to work with, especially trying to handle my father-zilla! If you want your wedding at the Barn, book it soon because dates book up very quickly! I would highly recommend this venue, even though it is relatively pricey...it is 100% worth it!!

This venue is so country but elegant at the same time. If you love the barn feel, you will need to check this place out! Tables seat around dance floor for an intimate feel, also have loft seating option for larger parties. Great location for outdoor photos!

I had the most amazing wedding at The Barn. It felt like a dream getting married there. It was so beautiful! The staff was amazing and so on top of everything. I didn't need to worry about a thing in my wedding day because of the staff. The food was amazing and there was so much of it!! I could of eaten the appetizers all night! I would recommend getting married at The Barn if you are looking for a wonderful venue!!

Gibbet Hill is flawless. Gibbet Hill is an incredibly beautiful space, and the staff do an amazing job ensuring that everything is perfect for your wedding day. Deirdre worked with my somewhat frustrating-to-work-with family to ease all of our concerns and make sure every little detail we had planned was executed perfectly (they did a phenomenal job integrating my decorations with their space). My guests could not get over the view and the food (all fresh and local), and I am still just so pleased with how everything looked.
