A rustic, yet elegant barn venue in Central, MN
Now accepting tours and bookings on May 11th for our 2024 wedding season! (Our 2023 wedding season is fully booked - cheers to all of our couples past, present and future!!) What's included when you host your wedding at The Barn at Stoney Hills? The venue is yours for the ENTIRE weekend allowing you to set-up, rehearse, and host dinner the day before, space for 25+ people to stay on site, and you have the day after for tear down! There are 4 ceremony spaces to choose from to accommodate any weather, each with its own arbor and scenic views of the landscapes so you'll get amazing photos without having to leave the property. Chairs are provided for the ceremony and chairs, tables, and linens are provided for the reception spaces. The venue includes an onsite venue manager, separate bridal and groom suites, and access to the farmhouse for your 3-day event. The Barn itself offers a three-sided loft, grand staircase, wrap-around bar, catering prep kitchen, pizza ovens, a covered patio with whiskey barrel tables and fireplaces for social hour, the option to choose all your own vendors within your budget (including catering), and MUCH MORE! The Barn is located on 409 acres of beautiful rolling hillside in Cushing, MN between Little Falls and the Brainerd lakes area. Reach out and set up a tour today! Our day went so smoothly, even all weekend. We are so honored and glad that we got to use there beautiful space for our wedding! The memories will last a life time! The Barn at Stoney Hills is an amazing wedding venue! We could not be happier with our experience. The property is stunning, the house is huge and very comfortable, and the venue is perfect. Having the venue and house for the weekend made a huge difference to us as we had family traveling from all over. We were able to spend so much more time with them being on site for the wedding and reception. Joni was fantastic to work with and made us feel very welcome and comfortable. She is so nice. The Barn at Stoney Hills is an amazing wedding venue! We could not be happier with our experience. The property is stunning, the house is huge and very comfortable, and the venue is perfect. Having the venue and house for the weekend made a huge difference to us as we had family traveling from all over. Could not have picked a better venue to have our wedding at! Joni and the staff at the Barn were so accommodating with everything from having decor onsite for us to use to me wanting to visit the venue more than once to ensure my layouts worked. By far one of the best venues I’ve been to and so glad they were a part of our special day! Not to mention the on-site lodging this venue it the best it gets!

I couldn't recommend this venue more. The owners were so nice to work with and didn't upcharge you for anything. They truly value you and your relationship. My favorite part was you get the whole venue for the entire weekend, including any decorations they have on hand, which is quite a bit. My wedding party and family stayed on site from Friday - Sunday which allowed me to spend more quality time with my family and friends. You also get to bring in all your vendors which saves a lot of money in food and drinks. The location is absolutely gorgeous, allowing for the most perfect photos. There is not a single bad thing to say about this venue. If I had to do it all again, I would pick this venue again in a heartbeat.

Not only were there so many beautiful spots on the property, all of the facilities were extremely well kept and clean. The entire staff at The Barn at Stoney Hills was extremely easy to communicate with during the entire wedding planning process, and they were so easy to work with during the wedding weekend. My husband and I got married in October and we got so many compliments from not only friends and family but also vendors about how amazing the barn is! When we first met with Joni she was so welcoming and you could see all the thought that went into the design of the barn. We loved having the venue for the entire weekend and being able to have the wedding party stay at the house. We were able to set up everything on Friday and had the grooms dinner on site. The kitchen in the barn made it super easy to prep the food for the grooms dinner. We also only brought like 3 of our own decorations because the barn already has a bunch of decor items onsite to use and the barn is so elegant by itself that it really doesn’t need much. Also you can choose your own vendors and bring in your own liquor which is really nice. We were able to brew our own beer and bring that to the venue which is another bonus. Additionally, the venue coordinator Staci was amazing to work with! She let us know exactly what was required of us and made sure we had what we needed. We honestly enjoyed our wedding so much and had the most fun we have ever had at a wedding so we were glad it was ours! We couldn’t have been happier that we chose The Barn at Stoney Hills for our wedding venue.

My husband and I stumbled upon The Barn at Stoney Hills from a google search for weekend-long wedding venue rentals and we're so glad we did! Our May 2022 wedding turned out exactly as we envisioned with all of our closet friends and family being able to spend the entire weekend together at the venue with us and all our friends and relatives coming on Saturday to celebrate our wedding with us. What really makes The Barn at Stoney Hills stand out is all the thought and detail they've put into the venue and all of the equipment and decor that is included with the rental. They have so much awesome decor that is yours to use!! I loved being able to come up Friday morning and set everything up with the help of my family and friends and being able to have the rehearsal dinner right on site followed by yard games and a campfire with smores. The owners are so friendly, helpful and accommodating, Joni even ran out Friday night before our wedding to get the cord we needed to hook our laptop up to the TVs for our slideshow! We loved having the whole property to ourselves for the weekend and being able to set it up just how we wanted. It is a spectacular place for our wedding and we're so glad we chose to get married at The Barn at Stoney Hills!

Having a place for your whole bridal party to stay makes your wedding day turn into a stress free wedding weekend! it was so nice to have all our bridal party and close family on the grounds for grooms dinner the night before the wedding. My husband and I got married at the barn in July of 2022. We absolutely loved our experience working with the great crew at the barn.The staff at the barn were kind, courteous, and timely in their responses. They allowed us to come visit the barn three times prior to our wedding. They also have all the decorations you could possibly need. The decor they have is organized and easy to find what you're looking for. That being said the venue is stunning on it's own and needs little if no decor.The barn at stoney hills is beyond a wedding venue. It is a destination wedding in a sense. The entire wedding party is able to stay on the grounds Friday-Sunday. We had our rehearsal dinner on site Friday night and enjoyed the fire pits that the venue has to offer. It was truly a magical experience getting to spend the entire day before our wedding with all of our loved ones all staying on the same grounds.The wedding venue itself it stunning. The grounds are kept immaculate. There was rain on the day of our wedding all morning, so we were up in the air of where our ceremony would take place. The entire crew at stoney hills was beyond gracious working with us to \"wait out the rain\". We did end up switching ceremony sites from our original plan but let me tell you, it was even better than we could have imagined.The kitchen in the barn is great for catering services. They have all of the basic equipment. They have huge fridges to place the food in. Which is great seeing as how far out they are from whoever is supplying the food.Our experience at the barn at stoney hills was magical. We recommend this venue to anyone and everyone. Also they allowed our dog to come on the grounds and partake in the wedding - huge bonus.

The Barn at Stoney Hills was absolutely perfect for our wedding! It was a stunning venue that created a loving, family-oriented environment for our wedding weekend. The venue owners and venue director were absolutely lovely to work with and went above and beyond to make wedding planning, our wedding weekend, and the cleanup after the wedding go smoothly. I have nothing but the best things to say about our experience working with the Barn at Stoney Hills for our May wedding. It was an absolute dream - the Hamsons and all the staff bent over backwards to give us the most perfect weekend. One of the best parts of this venue is the full weekend offering. We arrived Friday to set up which I was SO thankful for! I had a few friends help and we got to relax the entire rest of the day, host rehearsal and grooms dinner on-site, and had so much more time to relax the next morning without scrambling before the ceremony. Our favorite memory of the whole weekend was being able to spend quality time with our family and friends for longer than you get to at a lot of normal venue locations. It was incredibly special.I used quite a bit of the decor provided by the venue and didn't need to rent or buy much of anything. They provide so many pictures, layouts and checklists ahead of time, and offer enough beds for about 25 people to stay onsite (party & S/Os, family, etc). We hired a day-of coordinator, but honestly with all that Joni and their venue coordinator who is there day-of helped me coordinate ahead of time, she said she got bored!There are three different outdoor spots for your ceremony - we decided to do our ceremony right outside the Barn and it was beautiful. All of our vendors and guests said it was one of the most beautiful, easy to work with venues and we could not agree more. Additionally, there are a decent number of hotels, motels, resorts and airbnbs nearby (closest is about 20 minutes) and our guests were all able to find places that worked best for them.Outside of all of this, I wish I could describe in words how kind, thoughtful and generous Joni and Randy are. You can tell how passionate they are about making your weekend a dream. My husband and I would recommend The Barn to anyone and everyone and I hope to visit again SOON for another wedding!!

I have nothing but the best things to say about our experience working with the Barn at Stoney Hills for our May wedding. It was an absolute dream - the Hamsons and all the staff bent over backwards to give us the most perfect weekend. One of the best parts of this venue is the full weekend offering. We arrived Friday to set up which I was SO thankful for! We were so fortunate to be able to book a weekend at the barn. This venue exceeded our expectations in all aspects. I do not know of any other place around like this. The fall colors at the farm were stunning; and the staff had been covering flowers to prevent them from freezing. Our photographer was able to get the most amazing outdoor photos. The farmhouse and barn are in excellent condition and everything is extremely clean. However the best comments I have are for the owners Joni and Randy and the venue manager Staci. They are the sweetest people! They were thorough in their job of making us feel at home for the weekend and attending to our every need. Anything we needed or wanted they were on it. For example when we were running out of beverage cups, Staci drove to the nearest town and got cups and did not let us pay for them. They also helped with our technology needs. They have beautiful linens and many decorations that are all included in the weekend package. I highly recommend this best kept secret in central Minnesota. Thank you Randy, Joni and Staci.

WOW where do I even begin? The Barn at Stoney Hills is such a beautiful venue with so many unique features and amenities. The owners and venue managers are some of the sweetest people in the industry and truly give this venue all of their love. The first time I spoke with Joni, you could tell how much she enjoys hosting weddings and she has thought about all of the small details. They truly want you to feel at home for your wedding. One unique feature is that you get the venue for the whole weekend. It includes, the Barn, the bridal suite, grooms suite, the property and the farm house. This allows for up to 25 people to stay on property for the whole weekend. We loved this! We decided to have our wedding party/family to stay with us. We were able to set up Friday, have the rehearsal dinner there on property and be 100% ready for our wedding on Saturday. Saturday was so nice to have everyone there already and know they have a place to stay that night! It also helped with the cost of a hotel room for the entire party! They also have some decor and items that can be used and with the pure beauty of the barn, you do not need much! For the ceremony sites, they have many options. Most are outside and the inside option would be to use the barn. We used the north point option (outside) and it was beautiful!! Weather worked out in our favor all weekend! We worked with Olivia as the venue manager and she made sure everything went perfectly! Our guests still rave about the venue. Everyone loved it!

My husband and I had the pleasure of holding our reception at The Barn and hosting our wedding party at the beautiful space as well. Joni and Randy are AMAZING and truly cared about ensuring we had the perfect weekend while using their venue site. I was really impressed by the way they encouraged us to relax at the farmhouse and in the barn and how they wanted us to feel like it was ours to use and enjoy. We felt trusted and respected by them, even though we are a relatively young couple. We also worked with Staci, the venue manager for our weekend. She was always available to answer questions and even helped us get set up in the barn. The farmhouse and barn were both extremely clean and everything was in good repair for us to use. It was also really nice to have access to all of the tables, linens, and decorations included as part of our rental. This way, we didn't have to buy as much decor and figure out what to do with it afterwards!We took our engagement photos and most of our wedding photos out at the Barn. It was nice to be able to get ready at the farmhouse, and then already be where we needed to be to take photos. Since there were plenty of sleeping spaces at the farmhouse for our wedding party, we didn't have to worry about the party being late for pictures or not knowing where to go. It was also nice to be able to offer them all a place to stay during the weekend and it gave us more time to enjoy each others' company. The master suite in the farmhouse is a wonderful place to relax and I was sad to say goodbye at the end of our weekend! We hosted the rehearsal dinner out at the barn and used the outdoor grilling space for that. The kitchen within the barn also worked great for us to be able to keep our desserts chilled in the big refrigerator. There is also a pizza oven, which we used to make late night pizza during our dance. As amazing as this venue is with its amenities and views, what really made it stand out to us were the people we worked with. I can't say enough about Joni, Randy, and Staci. Before we had even committed to the Barn, Joni was invested in us and wanted us to have all the information we needed to decide if the Barn was right for us. She was not pushy for us to make a decision even though there were several other couples who were interested in our weekend who had toured after us. I know that she and Randy definitely care about their couples and want them to succeed not only during their wedding weekend, but in their marriage. That is not something you can buy, but something that is so valuable and important. Thank you Joni, Randy, and Staci!!!

The location itself was amazing, and having a fall wedding at the Barn made for some spectacular photos. The Barn itself was fantastic. It made getting things set up so simple and easy. The amount of decorations they have available gave us plenty of great options for table settings, and the big kitchen made things easy for our caterers as well. Another major benefit of being able to have our wedding reception at the Barn was being able to host our entire wedding party at the house on site. We had so many people traveling from out of state, and being able to offer them a place to stay was a great perk. It was also so much fun to have so many people we care about staying under one roof for a couple of nights. It made for a weekend we will never forget and cherish forever!Joni, Randy and Staci were also so helpful from the second we made our reservation. They allowed us to tour the sight multiple times, and worked closely with us to make sure everything we wanted was ready to go. They were such a big help, and seemed to take a personal interest in making sure our wedding day was everything we hoped it would be. My husband and I recently got married here (Sept 2021) and our guests could not stop commenting on how beautiful it was. Every single aspect of the barn was well thought out both inside and outside for people to enjoy and stay awhile. Not only was the venue beautiful, but Joni, Randy, and Cheyenne were so incredibly helpful throughout the entire process of planning and the weekend. We truly felt cared for and appreciated to be there. They were so responsive when it came to questions, and did so in a timely fashion. I was never left wondering about something and they made me feel very at ease during our rehearsal dinner/wedding day.Thank you so much to all of you for making this wedding truly special, and for building this gorgeous venue that we get to have memories of a lifetime with. We we’re able to create whatever experience we wanted for our guests - ex. where our ceremony took place, what vendors we used, how things were set up, etc. but they also are there to help you with ideas for finding vendors if you are in need and they have their own decorations to help alleviate extra expenses. Randy and Joni were SO helpful, and made you feel like part of their family. We enjoyed that they were very hands off on everything - other than monitoring the temperature of the barn, helping with the dimming of the lights, and opening/closing of the garage doors - we barely noticed them! We loved that it felt like we had the venue to ourselves the whole weekend to enjoy! The grounds, venue, & house/bridal suite were meticulously maintained. Highly recommend this place - awesome secluded location & awesome staff!

We loved that it felt like we had the venue to ourselves the whole weekend to enjoy! The grounds, venue, & house/bridal suite were meticulously maintained. Highly recommend this place - awesome secluded location & awesome staff!

We cannot say enough good things to say about this place, but hands down cannot believe the gratitude that we have to the owners and wedding coordinator that worked with us every step of the way! We were looking for a venue that would not only let us drive our tractor away after the ceremony, but also to allow us to have our horses at the venue so they could be apart of our special day. Being able to spend the whole weekend there made things sooooo much easier, and took a lot of the stress and hassle out of the day. My husband and I picked to tour this venue last on our list as we knew we were going to fall in love with it, and that is exactly what happened from the moment we stepped out of our car and saw first hand just how jaw-dropping beautiful this place was. From the initial tour, to other random visits to help with planning, to our final big day- the crew at The Barn at Stoney Hills is simply amazing. Joni and Randy are some of the most genuine people in the entire world and were there every step of the way to make sure our special day was everything we wanted and more. I mean, to open your entire home and property for the entire wedding season truly shows their hearts of gold. They even allow your dogs to stay the weekend too! Olivia and Paytin (the wedding planner/coordinators) were more than willing to answer any questions or help us out whenever we needed. The bridal/groomsmen suite is another amazing plus to this venue- soooo gorgeous! Our wedding party enjoyed getting ready and having fun in the building before the ceremony. The property has so many different sceneries to capture the most perfect pictures/videos to look back on. Another bonus is you get to pick all your own vendors which was such a nice option to have. I honestly could go on and on and on about how AMAZING this venue and the people that run it is, but I'm sure my fingers would get tired of typing so much. The barn is built with every last wedding detail in mind from the bars (both inside and outside), outdoor fireside tables and more to the accompanying bridal and grooms suites along with a full barn house for the wedding party, this venue truly has everything! As if that isn't enough the actual property is beautiful! We chose to have our ceremony at one of the several outdoor ceremony sites and it was truly magical. I would recommend this venue to anyone. On top of a wonderful venue, the staff at the Barn at Stoney Hills truly feels like an extension of your family. Not only were they incredibly helpful the weekend of the wedding, they were also extremely helpful in the months and even year leading up to the wedding. They were all very responsive (same day responses!) and were so encouraging throughout the process. I never felt stressed and knew that they were going to do everything they could to help make our day as special as possible. Lastly, another great feature is they allow you to use their many decor items! This allowed us to save money and still create a beautiful wedding setup. The space for wedding party to get ready is beautiful (I can't seem to think of a better word that describes this whole place) and would make for great photos. They even offer up their gorgeous home to the Bride & Groom (and wedding party) to stay for the weekend. The home was pristine and matched the \"rustic\" theme of the venue. We have not booked yet but certainly intend to. Joni & Randy are so flexible; spending our big day with them would put my mind at ease knowing we could fully trust them to do a great job! If you want a wedding in the northern Minnesota you have to come check this place out. My wife and I recently got married at The Barn at Stoney Hills in August and we were blown away with how perfect everything turned out. Joni and Randy are absolute rock stars and will do everything in their power to make sure the special day turns out exactly how the couple dreamed it would. There are multiple options on where to do the ceremony so all sizes of weddings can be accommodated. We decided for our wedding to do the dance outside with the massive glass garage doors lifted so it created a very unique indoor/outdoor dance feeling that was perfect. If you have a chance to do this I would highly recommend, bugs were a non issue the entire night (even in early August). There are a ton of decisions a couple has to make to plan their special day but the easiest decision should be to book at The Barn at Stoney Hills.

First of all, the land that the venue sits on is stunning. 400-something acres of beautiful woodland and rolling hills make for amazing photo backdrops. There is a house on site available to rent that makes it so convenient for your VIP guests. Their grooms quarters and bridal suit for getting ready in are to die for. This venue has a few options for ceremony sites. Depending on the weather will determine where your ceremony is. One option is, you can get married on the top of a hill overlooking miles of beauty. Another is with woodland as a backdrop for woodsy vibe. If you have rain or snow, the inside of the venue is all new chandeliers with wood and beauty all over. Which brings us to the venue. We booked this venue out of good faith. It wasn’t even completed fully when we booked but we thank God that we did because it exceeded our expectations. The owners Joni and Randy are the nicest couple. We loved having Joni there to help things run smoothly throughout our wedding day. She helped so much behind the scenes. The venue is breathtaking. Every detail has been though of, from having their own ice machine, to the beautiful tables and chairs they provide, to the keg urinals in the men’s bathroom. Their are stunning chandeliers hanging from the ceiling, large retractable garage doors, huge clean prep kitchen, propane lit tables for guests to sit around, and also have a 2 fire pits. The cherry that tops it all, they don’t have strict catering or alcohol rules. Meaning, they will let you pick out who you wish for your caterer. Which seems like such a minor detail but actually makes the biggest difference. Some venues don’t give you this option and you’re stuck with a bum caterer. Not this place! Pick you you’d like. Although, if you are indecisive, they have a few suggestions to choose from. I’m telling you, get married here! Our weekend was so magical. The Barn at Stoney Hills was God’s plan for us. We couldn’t have asked for a better venue and couple that owns this venue. A million stars, infinity awards, and unlimited likes and lives for this wonderful venue.

They rearranged the reception barn to make a beautiful ceremony site and even drive their personal enclosed utility vehicle to transport guests from the parking area to the barn so they didn’t get wet! Having the entire grounds for 3 days took the stress out of setting up. They also rent out their house and our entire wedding party fit in the house. It was like a mini getaway for everyone! Our guests raved about the gorgeous venue! We highly recommend the Barn at Stony Hills!

My husband and I got married here in October. It rained all day but Joni and Randy helped make the best of a soggy day! They rearranged the reception barn to make a beautiful ceremony site and even drive their personal enclosed utility vehicle to transport guests from the parking area to the barn so they didn’t get wet! Having the entire grounds for 3 days took the stress out of setting up. They also rent out their house and our entire wedding party fit in the house. It was like a mini getaway for everyone! Our guests raved about the gorgeous venue! We highly recommend the Barn at Stony Hills!

During the stressful yet exciting time of searching for wedding venues I was thrilled when I first found the Barn at Stoney Hills. Even though it was in the process of being built I knew that this was a magical place. First off the property is gorgeous. But I could not in my wildest dreams imagine how perfect it would turn out! The barn is crafted in such a beautiful way and is absolutely AMAZING!!! Our wedding day was a dream come true! 6/22/19Randy and Joni are such a beautiful couple and so down to earth. They were a joy to work with and truly made our day so special (thank you guys). The Barn at Stoney Hills was everything I could have hoped and dreamed for. I am a relatively rustic/outdoors type of guy and my wife certainly falls on the other side of the spectrum. Somehow this venue was able to provide everything that we BOTH wanted. The ceremony site was beautiful as we overlooked wetlands, fields, and trees. It was simple and charming. Then we were able to transition into the actual building for the reception. The Barn has all the perfect touches and attention to detail. Owners, Randy and Joni have a knack for knowing just what brides and grooms are looking for and were able to create a venue that will make lasting memories for not only the couples lucky enough to book their big day there but also all those attending the weddings and celebrating with the couples! I 100% recommend this venue! I have been able to get one other couple to go out and look - they booked a date in 2020 at the Barn!

The Barn at Stoney Hills was an incredible venue for a multitude of reasons. Joni and Randy are the sweetest couple and were there to help us with every question and request that we had along the way. They offer up their large home on the property to be used for the wedding party to stay in all weekend. Having our crew together for the weekend made it so much more fun and relaxing. The bridal and grooms suites that are right next to the house are amazing. Our parties of 12 fit perfectly in the suites for getting ready. The girls had room for hair and make up stylists to come in and the boys had room for games and lounging in such a nice setting. The Barn is breath taking inside and out. We had 240 guests fit so nicely. Having the garage doors open up at the end of the night to extend the dance floor our towards the outside bar and bonfire created such a great flow. The whole property is picturesque, the owners are beyond sweet and the ceremony site options are beautiful. We couldn't have had more fun and are ready to go back!

The Barn at Stoney Hills is such a beautiful place to have your wedding. The owners are the nicest people you will meet. They open up their home to you, so once you get there you never have to leave. Al least until the wedding weekend is over. You even have the option to get it for the entire weekend, the wedding I was apart of did that and it was so relaxing. Probably the most relaxing wedding I've been apart of! They have two different areas to hold the ceremony, and endless areas for gorgeous pictures. If you have an opportunity to have your wedding or event at this incredible location, I highly recommend it. The pictures don't do this beautiful venue justice. Not only are the barn, home, bride and groom's quarters stunning, there is absolutely nothing lacking. The owners have literally thought of everything you may need at your venue, and things you didn't even know you needed. The list is endless.My friend and her husband had stay the bridal party and her immediate family stay at the home on Friday and Saturday night. I highly recommend this. There is plenty of room for anyone who you may want to stay close to the wedding venue. Plus, they held their groom's / rehearsal dinner in the barn Friday evening as well. Which is another plus.The owners of The Barn at Stoney Hills are absolutely incredible. They are readily accessible and on site for any questions, concerns, or needs you may have. We rented the barn for a Friday wedding and everything was perfect! We were able to go in and decorate on Thursday and drop off anything else we needed for Friday. Friday morning we arrived at the barn to start hair and makeup for the girls and the guys arrived early in the afternoon to get ready in the grooms suite. We received nothing but compliments from all the vendors, as well as our guests, on how beautiful everything was. It was truly a magical experience and Randy and Joni were always readily available if needed and stepped in to help when needed. Such a great time for everyone involved! I would not only recommend the one day rental but if you’re able too - I would highly recommend renting for the weekend so you can enjoy everything they have to offer and really take it all in.

Joni & Family (Owner) The Barn at Stoney Hills has been a family owned and operated farm for 30 years. Since the day Randy and Joni traveled to central Minnesota as a young married couple, they continue to be taken back by the grandeur of the rolling hills dotted with wetlands, grassy fields, and lush forests. This farm is truly the product of our families hard work, love, and prayer. Our family has enjoyed many memorable times on the property and we are honored to share this stunning place with you and your family.
